The David Spoon Experience 1-24-24 part 2

1) We are going to jam with Deuteronomy 8. I’m going to share with you a “never shared before” teaching that was under the Dynamic Application Principle for Noelle and me but also has a broad impact on each one of us who hears God’s word. Several principles are in this material, but we will do our best to present each one as it builds upon the other principles. Your job, if you decide to accept it, is to determine which principles (or multiple principles) apply to you and how they can be inserted into your practical biblical thinking and actions.

2) The first value is to understand that in Deuteronomy 8:7, we see God bringing Israel into a NEW LAND. We often teach this insight at the beginning of a new year, but its’ application is always available. This can be relationships, jobs, finances, ministries, fellowships, health, attitudes, mindsets, routines, geographies, or anything else that is a part of our Christian journey. God is always NEW doing things. Instead of thinking you are in a rut, let's start seeing the new that God wants us to walk in.

3) Along with God, bringing us into a new land is the understanding of Jeremiah 29:11 which talks about how God has plans for us. They’re not plans to hurt us or to ruin us or to destroy us. In truth, they are plans to give us a hope and a future, something to look forward to, something that we can focus on in the Lord. This will help us push through the mundane and get to the level of freshness and newness that God wants to pour into our minds and hearts. The ticket is to understand that while we don’t understand its full revelation, we have a chore to engage in while we're on this adventure.

4) Yeah. So what is that ticket? Well, that’s pretty straightforward. When we have come to the place where we have eaten and have been satisfied, we are told that we need to praise the Lord. Why that is critical is because if we don't thank the Lord for the good things that are going on, we will forget the Lord and tend to think of the NEW as our own accomplishment. Wow. Nope.
