03-05-2025 part 2: Brand New Day: Embracing the Kingdom's Call in Our Lives

Dr. David Spoon elucidates the paramount significance of the Kingdom of God in our lives, emphasizing its foundational role in the teachings of Jesus Christ. He asserts that the primary message of Jesus was not merely about love or charity, but rather the urgent call to seek first the Kingdom of God, as articulated in Matthew 6:33. This episode explores the concept of repentance as the essential entry point into the Kingdom, highlighting its transformative power in aligning our lives with God's will. By engaging in repentance, individuals can initiate a profound change, paving the way for renewal and redemption. Through this discourse, we are invited to reflect on our personal journeys and the areas in our lives that require surrender to God’s sovereign rule.

In a compelling discourse, the episode addresses the pivotal role of repentance in the Christian faith as the gateway to experiencing the Kingdom of God. The speaker emphasizes that repentance is not merely an act of remorse but a profound transformation of the mind, aligning one's thoughts and actions with God's will. Through a thorough examination of Biblical texts, including the proclamations of John the Baptist and Jesus, the speaker articulates that the call to repentance is universal and timeless. This call serves as an invitation to individuals to surrender their lives to God's governance, thus enabling them to partake in the present manifestation of His Kingdom. Furthermore, the episode reinforces the notion that the Kingdom of God is both an eschatological promise and a present reality, urging listeners to recognize and engage with this duality in their daily lives. By fostering an understanding of repentance as a daily practice, the speaker challenges individuals to cultivate a fresh start each day, highlighting the mercies of God that renew every morning. The episode concludes by inviting listeners to reflect on their personal journeys, encouraging them to seek a deeper relationship with God and to actively participate in the ongoing work of His Kingdom.

Speaker A:

And now for something completely different.

Speaker A:

Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.

Speaker A:

It's wild and wonderful.

Speaker A:

What's gonna happen?

Speaker A:

We have no idea.

Speaker A:

Hey, let's sit back and enjoy the ride.

Speaker A:

Can I get a Wowzer Bowser Wednesday, because God is in charge of this crazy bus called the Christian Journey First.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to another phenomenal Wednesday as we're gonna dive into a message that is timeless.

Speaker A:

Ironically, it has the title Brand New Day.

Speaker A:

And that title, by the way, was a song written by my very own brother, Billy Spoon.

Speaker A:

What you probably don't know is in this teaching, Brand New Day is all about advancing the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God was the primary message of Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

I know people want to say it's love or feeding the poor or several other attributes, but when it comes down to it, numerically and theologically, Jesus preached the kingdom as the priority.

Speaker A:

Next, it's a fascinating aspect for us to understand the kingdom itself.

Speaker A:

It is not difficult to figure out, by the way, its priority that the kingdom of God has in our lives since Jesus made it clear.

Speaker A:

Clear in the sermon on the mount.

Speaker A:

Matthew 6:33.

Speaker A:

Seek first the kingdom, not second, but first.

Speaker A:

That means first.

Speaker A:

Get it?

Speaker A:

Okay, cool.

Speaker A:

And then finally.

Speaker A:

The question we're going to tackle is similar to the reporter's code from a journalist which has been long lost these last 25 or 30 years.

Speaker A:

The original code for media was to pursue the question and ask who, what, when, where, why and how.

Speaker A:

Now it's all about agenda.

Speaker A:

But then it was actually to list or journal the things that answered those questions.

Speaker A:

We're going to answer those questions.

Speaker A:

The who, the what, the when, the where, and the why.

Speaker A:

And you're going to find out.

Speaker A:

With Jesus, it all hinges on understanding the how regarding the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

So buckle up.

Speaker B:

David Spoon's life has been an experience.

Speaker B:

While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.

Speaker B:

Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.

Speaker B:

The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.

Speaker B:

After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.

Speaker B:

He joined KAAM and this radio program began.

Speaker B:

You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Local, national and heavenly talk.

Speaker A:

Here's what else we're looking at during the show.

Speaker A:

Lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events.

Speaker A:

Personal revelations, spiritual observations.

Speaker A:

My life's insanities.

Speaker A:

So much more.

Speaker A:

Now remember, it's not professional radio and just to prove it's not professional radio, digging into the deep archives of our past, we're going to ask our very own Jam and Jacob, who's also known as Inch High Private Eye.

Speaker A:

Inch High Private Eye.

Speaker A:

Jammin Jacob.

Speaker A:

Jammin Jacob.

Speaker A:

As Inch High Private Eye is the David Smooth experience professional radio.

Speaker C:

No, it is not, David, like that.

Speaker A:

One because you had it in spectral gadget.

Speaker A:

I know you knew that one.

Speaker A:

Have you ever heard of Inch High Private Eye?

Speaker C:

I have not heard of.

Speaker A:

Okay, Inch High Private Eye.

Speaker A:

He's a private eye.

Speaker A:

That's an inch tall.

Speaker A:

See, that's the whole see.

Speaker A:

Inch High Private, okay?

Speaker A:

That's the brilliant theology we bring to the show.

Speaker A:

We're talking about Inch High Private Eye.

Speaker C:

I'll take your word for it that he's an inch high, because I don't know.

Speaker A:

Just trust me on this one.

Speaker A:

You're not missing much.

Speaker A:

At least you're only missing about an inch worth on that size.

Speaker A:

All right, so here it is.

Speaker A:

Why would you bother to do any of this?

Speaker A:

Why would you reach out to us?

Speaker A:

You know what's good?

Speaker A:

Well, first of all, we do wanna know how you're doing.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We just had Jamie call.

Speaker A:

She going in the dentist, Lord, to bless her, encourage her, blessed her.

Speaker A:

She was able to hear it.

Speaker A:

Cool.

Speaker A:

That's what you want for everybody.

Speaker A:

Don't you want everybody to be blessed?

Speaker A:

You know, the thing is that we think, well, somebody should be like me, or this should be like me, or they should be like me.

Speaker A:

You know what?

Speaker A:

None of us should be like that.

Speaker A:

We should all be like Jesus.

Speaker A:

Paul said, follow me as I follow Christ.

Speaker A:

We want more of Jesus, not more of us.

Speaker A:

That's the whole point.

Speaker A:

So, look, how are you doing?

Speaker A:

What can we do to help you?

Speaker A:

To bless you, to strengthen you, to encourage you?

Speaker A:

If you have something to respond to that, you know, you can email us.

Speaker A:

It's simple.

Speaker A:

Davidmustincrease.org davidemustincrease.org you can text, you know, it's okay.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Or.

Speaker A:

Or you can call us.

Speaker A:

Oh, my.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Talking to Jammin Jacob is like waking up and feeling like you got a great night's Sleep.

Speaker C:

Thank you, David.

Speaker C:

Happy Wednesday.

Speaker A:

Happy Wednesday to you.

Speaker A:

As you might not be aware, most people, the power was out yesterday.

Speaker A:

So that means jam and Jacob is having to click mouse every sound effect, which is substantially slower than the normal sound effect.

Speaker A:

So every time he hits the mark, it's just that much of his brilliance shining through on the show.

Speaker A:

Do you like that one?

Speaker C:

I try my best, David.

Speaker A:

Yeah, that'll cost you 10 bucks at least.

Speaker A:

I mean, that's a good one.

Speaker A:

All right, so here's the bottom line.

Speaker A:

Here's the bottom line.

Speaker A:

Why would you email us?

Speaker A:

Why would you text us?

Speaker A:

Why would you call us?

Speaker A:

It could be for a praise report or a prayer request.

Speaker A:

It could be for sharing something that's on your heart and your mind.

Speaker A:

It could be for anything that's going on in your life.

Speaker A:

Maybe you just want somebody to say hi to you.

Speaker A:

You know what?

Speaker A:

That's not so bad.

Speaker A:

It's okay.

Speaker A:

Here's the deal.

Speaker A:

We are brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Speaker A:

When Jesus showed us in the Sermon on the Mount how to pray, what did he say?

Speaker A:

He said, say pray in this manner, say our Father.

Speaker A:

There is a very personal connection between each one of us and the Lord.

Speaker A:

But there is also this unique connection between all of us, being that we have the same dad.

Speaker A:

We are blood relatives, the blood of Jesus Christ, and we drink of the same Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

That's pretty good, right?

Speaker A:

Unity is in the Father, Son, and in the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

So you got something going on.

Speaker A:

Reach out to us.

Speaker A:

Let's pray.

Speaker A:

Let's praise.

Speaker A:

Let's rejoice together.

Speaker A:

Let's weep together.

Speaker A:

Let's do the thing that God has intended us to do.

Speaker A:

Because he said this.

Speaker A:

Jesus, a new commandment I give you.

Speaker A:

Love one another as I have loved you.

Speaker A:

By this shall all men know you are my disciples.

Speaker A:

By your love one for another.

Speaker A:

In doing that, we are testifying.

Speaker A:

That's what's so amazing.

Speaker A:

Additionally, we do Bible trivia every thinking.

Speaker A:

You do?

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

We think it's interesting.

Speaker A:

Is the book of Benjamin in the Old Testament, the New Testament or neither?

Speaker A:

Book of Benjamin, Old Testament, New Testament, or neither?

Speaker A:

If you think, you know.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Or you can send an email.

Speaker A:

Davidemustincrease.org we're looking for somebody to respond to this question, is the book of Benjamin in the Old Testament, the New Testament, or neither?

Speaker A:

I do want to remind people of a couple of things.

Speaker A:

Number one, please be a buddy.

Speaker A:

Here's somebody that's called or we talk about somebody, or somebody comes to mind even while you're listening to the show.

Speaker A:

Pray for that person throughout that next week.

Speaker A:

That's what we're asking you to do.

Speaker A:

The reason is because that is a great way for us to connect, to join to one another.

Speaker A:

And the Bible says to carry one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Speaker A:

That's what we're supposed to do.

Speaker A:

Okay, cool.

Speaker A:

Got it.

Speaker A:

So that's number one.

Speaker A:

Number two, don't forget to pray for people's health issues.

Speaker A:

They don't just stop unless we tell you they've recovered or something else has happened.

Speaker A:

So just keep praying.

Speaker A:

You don't have to.

Speaker A:

Like I said, you don't have to spend nine hours doing it.

Speaker A:

Like Paul said, I mention you before the Lord mention it.

Speaker A:

And I want to lift up, you know, all of our people.

Speaker A:

And I want you to remember about that pastor S gentleman who sent me a very, very nice letter.

Speaker A:

I just want you to pray for this guy.

Speaker A:

He just wants more of the Lord and to do it right.

Speaker A:

Comes from a very interesting family.

Speaker A:

Pray for him.

Speaker A:

You don't need to know everything.

Speaker A:

Just pray the Lord will be with him.

Speaker A:

That's a good thing.

Speaker A:

All right, we do have somebody ready to answer trivia questions, so let's go ahead and send them on through.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker D:

And a fine good afternoon to you, David.

Speaker D:

This is J.D.

Speaker A:

Hello, J.D.

Speaker A:

my brother in Christ.

Speaker A:

How are you?

Speaker D:

I am okay.

Speaker D:

I'm well, thank you.

Speaker A:

Good.

Speaker D:

And I'm glad that Jacob is running the board because, well, he knows what buttons to hit.

Speaker A:

You see, this is what you would hear if it was me doing anything.

Speaker A:

You'd hear this.

Speaker A:

It's not working.

Speaker A:

It's not working.

Speaker A:

That is all you would hear me do all day.

Speaker A:

It doesn't work.

Speaker A:

That's me right there.

Speaker A:

All right, brother, let me set you up on the question.

Speaker A:

Not overly complex.

Speaker A:

Is the book of Benjamin in the Old Testament, the New Testament, or neither.

Speaker D:

Benjamin was an Old Testament character.

Speaker D:

However, I don't remember a book of Benjamin in the Bible.

Speaker A:

That is correct, sir.

Speaker A:

You are right.

Speaker D:

Excellent.

Speaker A:

There is, of course, the older rice, Uncle Ben's rice, but there is no Benjamin in the book listings.

Speaker A:

But there is definitely a Benjamin in the character of the children of the Bible people, right?

Speaker A:

I mean, Benjamin was the tribe of Benjamin.

Speaker A:

That is correct.

Speaker A:

De Mundo.

Speaker A:

And quite the tribe, actually.

Speaker A:

They were one of the fiercest fighting tribes there was, which is kind of fascinating.

Speaker A:

All right, my brother, how are you doing?

Speaker A:

What is going on with you?

Speaker A:

Any updates?

Speaker A:

Anything new?

Speaker D:

I had a great weekend in Oklahoma.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker D:

And it has helped.

Speaker D:

Just relaxing a little bit or chillaxing, and I'm back at it.

Speaker A:

Well, you know, I'm really glad.

Speaker A:

And did you reach success in your mission?

Speaker A:

Remember, we prayed for success.

Speaker A:

I don't know if you were able to get that success or not in that mission that you were on.

Speaker D:

The weird thing is there was another wireless access up there.

Speaker D:

I have no idea where it is.

Speaker D:

And it's working and it's got good coverage.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker D:

Well, we just moved everything over to there and they're happy.

Speaker A:

There you go.

Speaker A:

Very good.

Speaker A:

All right, my brother.

Speaker A:

Well, you know, we're going to keep praying for you.

Speaker A:

You're going to keep us posted, and you need to stand firm, just like we were talking about in the first part of the show.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

You don't need to be shaken.

Speaker A:

You can stand firm because God is your rock.

Speaker A:

He's your salvation, and he's your defense, and that's all you need.

Speaker A:

And he's with me always, always, always.

Speaker A:

I mean, Matthew 1, God is with us.

Speaker A:

Matthew 28, I'm with you always from the beginning and the end of the gospel, right?

Speaker D:

Yes, sir.

Speaker A:

All right, excellent.

Speaker A:

Keep us posted, my bro.

Speaker D:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

All right, God bless you.

Speaker A:

Bye bye.

Speaker A:

All right, into DNA we go for those that are a little bit newer to the show.

Speaker A:

Dave does DNA, because Dave thinks DNA is more important than the other things because it's about the Lord, right?

Speaker A:

I mean, you're gonna spend eternity with God.

Speaker A:

I know some people are thinking, I'm gonna spend eternity with God.

Speaker A:

I'm just gonna eat hot dogs and go to carnival.

Speaker A:

You're gonna be in the presence of the Lord.

Speaker A:

This is something you need to be actively pursuing now.

Speaker A:

And then when he shows up, you know it's Him.

Speaker A:

That's really a big thing.

Speaker A:

But D for DNA stands for draw closer to the Lord daily.

Speaker A:

I think that's every day that ends in Y.

Speaker A:

And I challenge you to do that.

Speaker A:

And if you haven't done it for a while, go back to and do what you did in the very beginning.

Speaker A:

It's very simple.

Speaker A:

When you first got involved with the Lord, it was, like, so awesome.

Speaker A:

And you loved the Word and you loved to pray and you loved all that Stuff.

Speaker A:

Okay, well, remember that and go back there.

Speaker A:

And if you're already doing that, here's a message that'll just blow your mind.

Speaker A:

James 4.

Speaker A:

8 says, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Speaker A:

There's not a limit there.

Speaker A:

I can draw near this far.

Speaker A:

I can draw near this far.

Speaker A:

That's not how it works.

Speaker A:

You can draw as close to the Lord as you want, and he will continually draw closer and closer to you.

Speaker A:

That is a gift from Him.

Speaker A:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

There's something that came up.

Speaker A:

I want to be really careful how I say it, but I'm going to say this.

Speaker A:

There is a greater division taking place in humanity now than times in the past.

Speaker A:

It's much broader.

Speaker A:

It's much bigger.

Speaker A:

It's much more significant.

Speaker A:

And I'm not talking about political parties.

Speaker A:

There is going to be an extreme distinction.

Speaker A:

As God made clear to Israel, I am going to separate you from the world so they can see the difference.

Speaker A:

Don't think it's any different from the church.

Speaker A:

And you cannot afford to be ashamed of Jesus because He said, if you're ashamed of me or my words, I'll be ashamed of you.

Speaker A:

Can't afford it.

Speaker A:

It's not in the cards, so to speak.

Speaker A:

So don't do that.

Speaker A:

Never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

He created the universe.

Speaker A:

He can write a book.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

A.

Speaker A:

Always be ready.

Speaker C:

To serv.

Speaker A:

Ready.

Speaker A:

Does that mean you're going to be serving every 10 seconds?

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

But does that mean you need to be ready?

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

What do you got to do?

Speaker A:

You have to have your mind focused on the Lord.

Speaker A:

You have to have your heart focused on the Lord.

Speaker A:

You have to have him as your priority.

Speaker A:

The seek.

Speaker A:

First thing that we're going to talk about.

Speaker A:

It's not really complex.

Speaker A:

He said it.

Speaker A:

If he said it and told us to do it, then we can do it.

Speaker A:

But, Dave, there's so many distractions.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

There are so many distractions.

Speaker A:

Don't let those rob you.

Speaker A:

Because remember, the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.

Speaker A:

So always be ready to serve.

Speaker A:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily.

Speaker A:

N Never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

A.

Speaker A:

Always be ready to serve.

Speaker A:

Got that?

Speaker A:

All right, we're going to stay here for a minute.

Speaker A:

Not going to go yet.

Speaker A:

Because I want to do this one little bit.

Speaker A:

Luke, chapter 12.

Speaker A:

Luke, I am your father.

Speaker A:

Luke.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Luke, chapter 12, verse 29.

Speaker A:

Through 32 do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink.

Speaker A:

Do not worry about it.

Speaker A:

Verse 30 for the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.

Speaker A:

Verse 31 of Luke 12 but seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

Speaker A:

Verse 32 do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom alongside of that.

Speaker A:

With that text.

Speaker A:

Luke chapter 12, Matthew chapter 6.

Speaker A:

This then is how you should pray.

Speaker A:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Speaker A:

Your kingdom come.

Speaker A:

Right after the praise.

Speaker A:

What are we praying for?

Speaker A:

The Kingdom of come.

Speaker A:

The kingdom to come.

Speaker A:

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Speaker A:

Give us this day our daily bread even before our needs.

Speaker A:

The petition for God's kingdom to advance is set forth in the model for prayer.

Speaker A:

Even before the food comes.

Speaker A:

The Kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

So the real question is, where is the kingdom of God?

Speaker A:

Well, Matthew 6 kind of gives you that little clue.

Speaker A:

It says, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God is where God's will is done.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God is where God is king.

Speaker A:

It is God's reign.

Speaker A:

It is whatever the time, whatever the place, whatever the situation, whatever the feelings, whatever the circumstance, his rule, his will, his desire, his manifestations, his purposes.

Speaker A:

First kind of leads to the I guess this is a seek first the kingdom of God and all these other things shall be added unto you mindset.

Speaker A:

Okay, Dave, what does that have to do with Brand New Day Patience and you will see as we will take our break here and then come back and talk about it.

Speaker A:

All right folks, you're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Short break, we'll be right back.

Speaker E:

This KAAM radio show with your very own David Spoon is not a business but a non profit ministry.

Speaker E:

Speaker E:

Since Your donation is 100% tax deductible, remember that it says In Corinthians, that whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Speaker E:

Or in Proverbs, where it teaches that a gener.

Speaker A:

Here's what I want to talk about.

Speaker A:

And do you think the phones might work still?

Speaker A:

Do you think they.

Speaker A:

Nope, they're not going to work.

Speaker A:

We're going to wait then to do our trivia.

Speaker A:

Let me go into this teaching and catch this.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

We just talked about the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

We talked about that.

Speaker A:

It's God's reign.

Speaker A:

Whatever the time, whatever the place, whatever the situation, whatever the feelings.

Speaker A:

It's his will, it's his rule.

Speaker A:

And so when Jesus said, pray this way.

Speaker A:

Our Father, who art thou in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Speaker A:

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.

Speaker A:

The will of God is the kingdom of God, and it is where God is king.

Speaker A:

There's two important aspects to this.

Speaker A:

Super duper important.

Speaker A:

You're thinking, how important?

Speaker A:

Super important.

Speaker A:

Duper important.

Speaker A:

Here they are.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God is twofold.

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

It's the future and it's the now.

Speaker A:

It's the later and it's the now.

Speaker A:

Do you ever have a now or later?

Speaker A:

One of those candies?

Speaker A:

Now and later?

Speaker A:

That's the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God is now and the kingdom of God is later.

Speaker A:

Well, we certainly know that the kingdom of God has a future aspect to it.

Speaker A:

Jesus taught about that quite extensively.

Speaker A:

We're all in debate about how that will manifest.

Speaker A:

Okay, that's cool.

Speaker A:

I don't have a problem with that.

Speaker A:

But there is also a kingdom now.

Speaker A:

And you're thinking, well, how could there be a kingdom now?

Speaker A:

I'll explain that to you.

Speaker A:

The kingdom now is when you got saved.

Speaker A:

Now, I'm aware, by the way, that the apps are down and everything's down.

Speaker A:

So we're hoping that it all pops back up relatively soon.

Speaker A:

Do we have anything coming back on?

Speaker C:

Yeah, Jennifer's working on it right now.

Speaker C:

She said give it about 10 minutes.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

You got to give it some time.

Speaker A:

So if we disconnected, try and get to us.

Speaker A:

How do they listen to us through the radio?

Speaker A:

Is that the only way?

Speaker A:

Because you can't do the website or can they do the website?

Speaker C:

Yes, we should be over there on the radio.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

But not on the website, right?

Speaker C:

Right.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Correct.

Speaker A:

So we'll just do our best.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So, people, if you can tune in, that's the best we can do.

Speaker A:

Radio is working.

Speaker A:

All but here we go.

Speaker A:

So here's what I want you to catch.

Speaker A:

When you said yes to Jesus, that was a manifestation of the Kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

And you think, why?

Speaker A:

Because that's God's will.

Speaker A:

When you acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, that is God's will, that's the manifestation now.

Speaker A:

When you pray and something takes place, that's the manifestation now.

Speaker A:

Wherever disease and demons and sin are defeated, that's the kingdom of God now.

Speaker A:

In the past, when you've been made whole, that's the kingdom of God now.

Speaker A:

Yes, there's a future kingdom, yes.

Speaker A:

But there is also a current kingship.

Speaker A:

And what happens is initially when you say yes to Jesus, he becomes your king in your heart and his kingdom starts to establish.

Speaker A:

And then bit by bit and pieces by pieces, different areas of your life get surrendered to Jesus as Lord.

Speaker A:

And the kingdom in your own life grows.

Speaker A:

Which is very, very cool, by the way.

Speaker A:

So what I want you to be aware of, what I don't want you to miss, what I want you to catch is, is that there's the kingdom of God is where God is king.

Speaker A:

It is where his will is done.

Speaker A:

It is both now and in the future.

Speaker A:

But we're focusing on the now because we are right now in the now.

Speaker A:

So if you're a person who's stuck in some form of disease or some form of demonic oppression or some sin that seems to be defeating you more than it should be, if you're stuck in those places, I want you to know the kingdom of God is available in those circumstances where God is placed as king and he reigns in those areas in your life.

Speaker A:

There is a future kingdom.

Speaker A:

Believe me, we're gonna love it.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Eye is not seen, neither has ear heard.

Speaker A:

Whether it's manifested in a thousand year millennial reign, which would be so awesome, or whether it's gonna be some other element, who cares?

Speaker A:

It's gonna be great stuff with God.

Speaker A:

But the kingdom now is what I want to talk to you about.

Speaker A:

So listen to what I'm going to say to you.

Speaker A:

So important.

Speaker A:

So important.

Speaker A:

There is a specific entry point into the Kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

I want you to hear what I'm saying.

Speaker A:

There is a specific entry point that we're going to be discussing regarding the Kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

to Revelation:

Speaker A:

But I want to show you something about the now and the later, because that's really important.

Speaker A:

Ready?

Speaker A:

Matthew 26, 9.

Speaker A:

I tell you, I will not drink from the fruit of this vine from now until the day I drink it.

Speaker A:

New with you in my Father's kingdom.

Speaker A:

That's the kingdom to come.

Speaker A:

Cool.

Speaker A:

Got it.

Speaker A:

But Luke:

Speaker A:

Jesus said, because the kingdom of God is in your midst.

Speaker A:

So there's one that's now and one that's later.

Speaker A:

Got that?

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Now, as they're doing their best to work on this, this is part of what happens when you're doing live radio.

Speaker A:

We just do our best, see what happens.

Speaker A:

If you're hearing this on the radio, that's good.

Speaker A:

You can still text and let me know you're still hearing it on the radio.

Speaker A:

That would be good, but I have no control, so I'm just going to go for it the best way I can.

Speaker A:

So here's the big thing.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God is where God is king.

Speaker A:

It's where he reigns.

Speaker A:

It's where he rules.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

It's where his will is done.

Speaker A:

It is now and it is later.

Speaker A:

But what is the first call of the kingdom of God?

Speaker A:

I want you to be able to be honest.

Speaker A:

Think it through.

Speaker A:

What is the first call of the kingdom of God?

Speaker A:

Matthew 3:1, 2.

Speaker A:

In those days, John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, repent, for the kingdom of God is near.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker A:

Wait.

Speaker A:

Matthew 4:17.

Speaker A:

From that time on, Jesus began to preach, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.

Speaker A:

Wait, hold on.

Speaker A:

I'm not done.

Speaker A:

Acts 2:27 38.

Speaker A:

When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the apostles, brothers, what should we do?

Speaker A:

Peter replied, repentance, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

For the forgiveness of sins.

Speaker A:

In John the Baptist's first message.

Speaker A:

In Jesus.

Speaker A:

First message.

Speaker A:

In Peter's first message.

Speaker A:

They didn't share the scripts like the Democrats did.

Speaker A:

They had the same message from God.

Speaker A:

Repent, repent, repent.

Speaker A:

You're thinking, yikes.

Speaker A:

How does that work?

Speaker A:

Here's how it works.

Speaker A:

Repentance is the entry point.

Speaker A:

Repentance is the entry point to the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

Now, as my understanding I think we have, our stuff is back up.

Speaker A:

Is that correct?

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker C:

Yes, we're back up.

Speaker A:

So we do have the opportunity for somebody to call in on a trivia question for those of you that missed it.

Speaker A:

Are the apps also back up by chance?

Speaker A:

Are they?

Speaker A:

We don't know if they are or not.

Speaker C:

I believe so.

Speaker A:

Okay, we think so.

Speaker A:

So if you're listening and you're just tuning in, we had a power outage happen again.

Speaker A:

But it's okay.

Speaker A:

I taught all the way through.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We didn't have any breaks or anything.

Speaker A:

So you're gonna have to listen because if you miss this, you're gonna miss something very, very cool, and that is on the recap.

Speaker A:

Jesus, Peter, and John the Baptist preached the same first message.

Speaker A:

Repent.

Speaker A:

Repent.

Speaker A:

Repent.

Speaker A:

The kingdom is now and the kingdom is later.

Speaker A:

You're not going to do a whole bunch about what the kingdom later is, but the kingdom now has to do with you and God and God's will being done in your life, God's plan being accomplished in your life.

Speaker A:

And the entry point for everybody to grow into each area before the Lord where the kingdom of God is in control is repentance.

Speaker A:

Because John the Baptist said repent in Matthew 3:1, 2, Matthew 4:17, Jesus said repent.

Speaker A:

Acts 2:37, 38.

Speaker A:

Peter said, Repentance and repent.

Speaker A:

Repent.

Speaker A:

Repent is your access point to initiate the kingdom of God taking place.

Speaker A:

Listen to this.

Speaker A:

Repent for the kingdom is near.

Speaker A:

Repent for the kingdom is near.

Speaker A:

Repent for the kingdom is near.

Speaker A:

What the three mainstay messages between John the Baptist, Jesus and Peter.

Speaker A:

And there's areas in your life that you need to come before the Lord.

Speaker A:

Yes, you're a Christian.

Speaker A:

Yes, you believe in Jesus.

Speaker A:

Yes, you're saved.

Speaker A:

But there's areas in your life that still need to surrender to the kingship of God.

Speaker A:

And how you start that process is by repentance.

Speaker A:

Now, what we're gonna try and do, if I can.

Speaker A:

Can we take a short break or.

Speaker A:

We're gonna take a very short break and sip on my tea for a second, and then we'll have our trivia question and normal stuff.

Speaker A:

Come back.

Speaker A:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker G:

Do you love a good joke?

Speaker G:

That's probably pretty bad.

Speaker A:

What do you call an animal that doesn't practice what it preaches?

Speaker A:

A hippocrypotamus.

Speaker A:

Come on.

Speaker G:

Do you love being able to ask questions, comments, or having someone to pray.

Speaker A:

For you if you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question?

Speaker A:

We don't want it to die of loneliness.

Speaker A:

We want it to have a chance.

Speaker G:

And last but not least, do you love some trivia?

Speaker A:

All right, we got our trivia question.

Speaker A:

Who made clothes out of leaves that were sewed together?

Speaker A:

Somebody want to answer the trivia question?

Speaker A:

Oh, okay, hold on, hold on.

Speaker A:

Here I go.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker A:

We're talking to Mary.

Speaker A:

This is Al, this is Brother Ace.

Speaker D:

This is Eric, this is Deborah.

Speaker G:

Now, if that doesn't make you curious, maybe you should tune in and check it out for yourself.

Speaker A:

Think of me as the big brother that won't go away.

Speaker G:

That tune in to the David Spoon experience weekdays at 1.30pm on 770 kaam.

Speaker A:

Then they complained against Moses and Aaron and they said it had been better for us to die in Egypt or even here in the wilderness.

Speaker A:

Their theory in that thought process is they're thinking it'd be better for us if we just died in the wilderness or back in Egypt where we know where things were at, as opposed to going to a new land and being consumed by these big people.

Speaker A:

This is a terrible idea.

Speaker A:

There are some commentators that believe that their complaining really has to do with they thought it would be better to die over time in the wilderness or over time in Egypt versus going to the land and being immediately killed by these big people.

Speaker A:

And they were bumming.

Speaker A:

And look what they said.

Speaker A:

Wouldn't it be better to go back to Egypt?

Speaker A:

How quick we forget what the bondage is once you're out.

Speaker A:

Oh, how quickly do you forget the bondages that God brought you through once you're away from it?

Speaker A:

I don't remember being that bad.

Speaker A:

The David Spoon Experience on 770 Kaam.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

There's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas for those that are joining us and trying to figure out what is going on.

Speaker A:

We had a small power outage again, but we were able to maintain it on the radio the whole time, so nothing got lost there.

Speaker A:

So if you've missed anything, you will have an opportunity in the podcast that'll be up today later on today to pick up whatever you might have missed.

Speaker A:

But as of right now, the app should be working and the radio's working and everything's working as far as we know.

Speaker A:

Okay, here we go.

Speaker A:

Here's your trivia question.

Speaker A:

Who said John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost?

Speaker A:

This is the question.

Speaker A:

Who said that?

Speaker A:

John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit?

Speaker A:

Straightforward.

Speaker A:

Was it Matthew, Mark, John the Baptist, or Jesus?

Speaker A:

A direct fast access point.

Speaker A:

Acts:

Speaker A:

But the question is, who said John indeed baptized with water, but you should be baptized with the Holy Ghost?

Speaker A:

Who said that?

Speaker A:

Was it Matthew, Mark, John the Baptist, or Jesus?

Speaker A:

Who said that?

Speaker A:

Acts, chapter 11, verse 16.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Gonna send you up to the website.

Speaker A:

We do this twice in the show.

Speaker A:

I need to do it twice in a show.

Speaker A:

So that's why we do it.

Speaker A:

It's pretty straightforward.

Speaker A:

Bottom line is we exist off of the donations of our listeners and we could use the help.

Speaker A:

How about that?

Speaker A:

Is that keeping it simple?

Speaker A:

Yeah, that's how you keep it simple.

Speaker A:

We don't give you a Corvette or a Lamborghini or a donut or a whistle.

Speaker A:

You get a receipt at the end of the year.

Speaker A:

Cause we're a nonprofit organization.

Speaker A:

Oh, there you go.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Check it out.

Speaker A:

Place to give.

Speaker A:

Hemustincrease.org Prayer Request hemostincrease.org Praise Report hemustincrease.org Looking to give to this ministry.

Speaker A:

He mustincrease.org Confused by what's happening right now.

Speaker A:

He must increase.org hemustincrease.org from the Valley of the Giants.

Speaker A:

Ho ho ho.

Speaker A:

Green giants.

Speaker A:

See, Even vegetable commercials were cheery.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

It's a commercial for vegetables, but look how happy they are ho ho ho ho ho ho green.

Speaker A:

They're just like happy people.

Speaker A:

Our society needs some work.

Speaker A:

Anyway, your trivia question who said John indeed baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

Speaker A:

, or Jesus who said that Acts:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Jesus taught more about the principles of the kingdom of God and prioritized that over all things, love is a part of that kingdom, but not the love the world defines.

Speaker A:

Feeding the poor is a part of that kingdom, but not the way the world defines it.

Speaker A:

Okay, that's the simplest thing.

Speaker A:

The world has already messed up the definition of love since Jesus said as many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.

Speaker A:

They can't even comprehend that in one sentence.

Speaker A:

But if you're a parent, you fully understand that's just that simple.

Speaker A:

So what we talked about was the kingdom of God is where the will of God is done.

Speaker A:

It is where God is king, and there is a future aspect and a current aspect.

Speaker A:

When you said yes to Jesus, that was a manifestation of the current aspect of the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

You became a part of the family of God.

Speaker A:

And then what we did was we looked at the three primary early messages of the entire church and the entire each gospel.

Speaker A:

And it makes it very clear.

Speaker A:

John the Baptist came and he preached repent for the kingdom is near.

Speaker A:

Jesus came and he preached repent for the kingdom is near.

Speaker A:

And Peter came and he preached repent for the kingdom is near.

Speaker A:

So there's a lot of this repent, repent, repent.

Speaker A:

And repentance has got a lot of weird things connected to it, like the world giving it a wrong definition.

Speaker A:

So what we're going to do is we're going to take the caller and they're going to answer the trivia question and then I'm going to explain to you the actual biblical principle of repentance, because that repentance is your access point to having the kingdom of God initiated not just in your life, but in certain areas of your life which maybe are not surrendered to the Lord.

Speaker A:

The way that you do that is you repent and we're gonna look and see what that means.

Speaker A:

But first we're gonna have somebody answer the trivia question.

Speaker A:

Let's go ahead and send them on through.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker H:

This is Gary.

Speaker H:

How are you today?

Speaker A:

I'm doing pretty good, Gary.

Speaker A:

We're doing the in and out with the power, so that's been a lot of fun.

Speaker A:

We just keep plugging along, just like we keep praying for you.

Speaker A:

We just keep plugging along.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We're doing quit.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker H:

Sometimes that's what you have to do.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

It's exactly.

Speaker A:

You just gotta keep doing.

Speaker A:

Keep doing what?

Speaker A:

Doing.

Speaker A:

Let's do the trivia question, and then we will move from that to praying over you.

Speaker A:

So who said, john indeed baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

Speaker A:

Was it Matthew, Mark, John the Baptist, or Jesus?

Speaker H:

Would you run that through again?

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Who said, John indeed baptized with water, but you should be baptized with the Holy Spirit?

Speaker A:

Did Matthew say that?

Speaker A:

Did Mark say that?

Speaker A:

Did John the Baptist say that?

Speaker A:

Or did Jesus say that?

Speaker A:

Your reference point would be Acts 11:6.

Speaker A:

But who actually said that?

Speaker H:

Was it John the Baptist?

Speaker A:

No, he was.

Speaker A:

See what he was doing?

Speaker A:

Is he saying, John baptized you with water?

Speaker H:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

But you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost who has that to give.

Speaker H:

You know, I missed it this time.

Speaker A:

That's okay.

Speaker A:

That's not like the end of the world.

Speaker A:

Jesus is the one who said, I'm going to baptize you.

Speaker A:

John baptized you with water.

Speaker A:

When I'm done with you, it's going to be the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

And so that's where that comes from.

Speaker A:

And that's fine.

Speaker A:

By the way, there's nothing wrong with gary.

Speaker A:

.:

Speaker A:

Correct.

Speaker A:

I don't think that's a big deal.

Speaker A:

It ain't gonna affect your grade.

Speaker A:

Let me put it that way.

Speaker H:

I'm mixed up.

Speaker H:

I got mixed up.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

That's all right.

Speaker A:

Might even be how I asked it.

Speaker A:

Sometimes I don't say it.

Speaker A:

Well, all right, so let's find out to you.

Speaker A:

Any.

Speaker A:

First of all, we're gonna pray over your health, but any progress in that other thing, or is that kind of still in the same boat?

Speaker H:

Well, there's been movement in the other thing, but it isn't quite solved yet.

Speaker H:

So we might pray for that.

Speaker A:

Okay, let's do it.

Speaker A:

Let's do it.

Speaker A:

Let's come before the Lord.

Speaker A:

Father, we come before you right now.

Speaker A:

We thank you for Gary and We ask you to bless him and encourage him now, Lord, he's got a circumstance that he's getting closer, getting closer, getting closer.

Speaker A:

Lord, finish.

Speaker A:

You are the author and the finisher.

Speaker A:

Your word says we ask you to finish this on Gary's behalf as only you can bring your kingdom into the circumstance.

Speaker A:

Your will, your desire, your design, your plan.

Speaker A:

Let it be manifested in this circumstance.

Speaker A:

That gives Gary the finality of this, that he can be done with that.

Speaker A:

And Lord, we're also with that, praying for his health.

Speaker A:

Lord, we can't do it.

Speaker A:

I can't do it, Lord.

Speaker A:

I don't think anybody in our audience thinks we can do it.

Speaker A:

You can do it, and we believe you can do it.

Speaker A:

And so we ask you to do it in the name of Jesus.

Speaker A:

We have faith in your goodness, faith in your confidence.

Speaker A:

We will continually persist and pray and we will believe you because you are generous and kind.

Speaker A:

We ask you to physically touch Gary from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet and everything on the inside.

Speaker A:

And we pray that in Jesus name, amen and amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker H:

Thank you very much.

Speaker H:

And I will continue to pray for all of you.

Speaker A:

Thank you, brother.

Speaker H:

God bless you.

Speaker A:

God bless you too as well.

Speaker A:

Thank you, man.

Speaker A:

Bye bye.

Speaker A:

All right, let's go back to this little teaching that we're doing.

Speaker A:

And it's very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very important for you guys to catch this.

Speaker A:

Now listen.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God, you think?

Speaker A:

Big deal, really?

Speaker A:

Jesus said, seek first the kingdom of God and everything else will be added unto you.

Speaker A:

So to Jesus, it was a big deal, right?

Speaker A:

The first message from John the Baptist was about the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

The first message from Jesus about the kingdom of God, the first message from Peter about the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

And here's the key.

Speaker A:

The key is understanding that you are in many ways in and functioning in the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

But there are some of us that withhold areas.

Speaker A:

Even though we call Jesus our Savior, which he is first and our Lord, there are some areas that were a little more reluctant, rebellious, or maybe just fighting against submitting that area to so that that is also under the banner of the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

So then how do we do it?

Speaker A:

In each one of those instances communicated by the men of God, it was to repent.

Speaker A:

And every time somebody thinks of repentance, they have this world perverted concept of it.

Speaker A:

It's just the truth.

Speaker A:

The literal, literal Greek definition of repent is to think afterwards.

Speaker A:

In other words, it's to think about it after.

Speaker A:

So that you are like going.

Speaker A:

The primary is to change the direction by changing the mind to conform to God's way of thinking.

Speaker A:

That is the primary usable definition of repentance.

Speaker A:

To change our directions by changing our mind to conform to God's way of thinking.

Speaker A:

The secondary, by the way, is to be in anguish or sorry over the sin.

Speaker A:

A godly sorrow, like 2 Corinthians 7, Ten says.

Speaker A:

It doesn't mean you sit there and you try and put your head in a pencil sharpener.

Speaker A:

It says you're sorry, you know it's wrong, you want to get it right.

Speaker A:

But the primary definition of repentance is to get your mind in the same direction that God's mind is in regards to an issue, so that you're conforming to his way of thinking, to think about it afterwards differently than you do now, more inclined and in line with God's way of thinking.

Speaker A:

And that's what repentance is.

Speaker A:

You can say, repentance, I repent, or you can do repentance, or both, which is what most people do.

Speaker A:

I repent.

Speaker A:

Change me so that I see this the way that you do change me.

Speaker A:

So I think of this the way that you do change me.

Speaker A:

So my approach of this follows your declaration of it and not mine.

Speaker A:

And what this really has to do with for a brand new day is surrender.

Speaker A:

That's what it has to do with.

Speaker A:

You really want to know how to have a brand new day, a really fresh walk.

Speaker A:

Begin every day with a full surrender, full yield.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Lord, I keep messing up in this area and that area, but I start over today.

Speaker A:

Thank God Almighty that the mercies and the compassions of God are new every morning.

Speaker A:

So you can do that.

Speaker A:

That's pretty cool.

Speaker A:

I will take a short break and then come back.

Speaker A:

And the close is just, I think, kind of outrageous.

Speaker A:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Short break, we'll be.

Speaker F:

What is the David Spoon Experience anyway?

Speaker A:

That's not even the story.

Speaker A:

Let me tell you the story.

Speaker A:

Cause it's so big.

Speaker A:

I cut the first third yesterday.

Speaker A:

And that's the front of the house.

Speaker A:

And the back two thirds I'll do today, tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, whatever that is.

Speaker A:

But it looks really good.

Speaker A:

All right, so that's cool.

Speaker A:

Anyhow, there's.

Speaker A:

So I'm cleaning it all up, and I've got the little electric weed eater and the little blower.

Speaker A:

They're working.

Speaker A:

It works great.

Speaker A:

Everything's Working great.

Speaker A:

And I have a stick.

Speaker A:

Now, this stick was there when we moved into the house, and it was a stick that went with a broken rake.

Speaker A:

And I don't know why.

Speaker A:

My wife and I have kept it in the garage for, like, 17 months, but I thought, this is ridiculous.

Speaker A:

I got to get rid of this stick.

Speaker A:

So I looked at the stick and I thought, I could high karate this because it wouldn't fit in the trash can, right?

Speaker A:

A little too long.

Speaker A:

You put in the trash can, even on an angle, the trash can sitting up about 4 inches.

Speaker A:

And, you know, it was windy yesterday.

Speaker A:

So if I did that to catch the wind and, you know, so I thought, nigh, I can high karate this.

Speaker A:

I'm strong enough.

Speaker A:

Then I thought, this is the kind of thing where pride really gets in the way.

Speaker A:

I got to be careful.

Speaker A:

So I did what any other guy would do.

Speaker A:

I took my two trash cans, I put the stick in between the two trash cans, I took a saw and I cut the saw half.

Speaker A:

I used the saw and cut the stick halfway through.

Speaker A:

So now I'm gonna high karate this bad boy and feel good about it.

Speaker A:

No pride here, right?

Speaker A:

How long do I got?

Speaker A:

Like a minute, two minutes?

Speaker A:

Perfect.

Speaker A:

Two minutes.

Speaker A:

Watch this.

Speaker A:

So I cut it perfectly in half.

Speaker A:

I get my arm, my forearm, my elbow, and I go, hiya.

Speaker A:

And I hi.

Speaker A:

Karate that bad boy.

Speaker A:

One part of the two part sticks, okay, which is like kind of like a broom handle, hits the top of the trash can where it was sitting, kind of bounced on it, came up and hit me right in the forehead.

Speaker A:

Damn.

Speaker A:

I was really feeling pride right up until it hit me in the head.

Speaker A:

And then I realized, one, I couldn't have done it without the saw, and two, even with the saw, apparently I couldn't have done it because the stick hit me back.

Speaker A:

I don't think that was very nice of it.

Speaker A:

And I will say it did end up in the trash.

Speaker A:

And it went bye bye.

Speaker A:

On Christ.

Speaker A:

The solid rocket.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

That's k double amen.

Speaker A:

770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

We're gonna do a very fast history and then close out this lesson.

Speaker A:

It's really, really good.

Speaker A:

You gotta hear it.

Speaker A:

So let's do history real fast if we can.

Speaker A:

Let's go.

Speaker A:

Let's face him.

Speaker A:

The past.

Speaker A:

Let's go.

Speaker A:

Let faith in the past.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Today is national Cheese doodle day.

Speaker A:

For those that don't know What a cheese doodle is.

Speaker A:

That's cheesy puffs or that's cheese.

Speaker A:

That's like any kind of puffy, kind of like, you know, like that kind of thing.

Speaker A:

Like a cheesy, cheesy doodle kind of thingy.

Speaker A:

You know what I mean?

Speaker C:

Like, like, like cheese puff Cheetos.

Speaker A:

Yes, exactly.

Speaker A:

That's exactly right.

Speaker C:

Those are good.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

National Cheese Doodle Day.

Speaker A:

Today is national day of unplugging.

Speaker A:

That is an excellent, excellent idea.

Speaker A:

Everybody who is listening to my voice should every once in a while, do a media fast.

Speaker A:

No information from anywhere for 24 hours, except for spiritual things and things that are very beneficial.

Speaker A:

No news media, just that you can give your brain a break.

Speaker A:

I credit my daughter with that.

Speaker A:

She's the one that first came up with that, told me about it, and I thought that was a great idea.

Speaker A:

And she told me about that 10 years ago, 11, 12 years ago, long time ago.

Speaker A:

Even before it wasn't even as nutty as it is now.

Speaker A:

Just like, take a fast.

Speaker A:

Don't watch any media, don't listen to any media.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

What do you think of that?

Speaker A:

It's a good idea.

Speaker C:

Our station is trying to celebrate that today with the power going out, unplugging.

Speaker A:

Everything, contributing all the way through.

Speaker A:

1872.

Speaker A:

Westinghouse, but in the mid-:

Speaker A:

Air brakes.

Speaker A:

Remember, he was gonna crash and he stopped and he goes, air brakes.

Speaker A:

That's funny.

Speaker A:

All right, let's finish this off real quickly.

Speaker A:

Bottom line, repent, repent, repent.

Speaker A:

We talked about that.

Speaker A:

So what is the key in understanding repentance?

Speaker A:

Acts 3, 17.

Speaker A:

And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your rulers, but what God foretold by the mouth of all his prophets that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled verse 19.

Speaker A:

Repent, therefore, and turn again that your sins may be blotted out.

Speaker A:

Verse 20.

Speaker A:

That times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

Speaker A:

The key component in bringing forward the brand new day in your life and in these areas is to repent, to change your thinking, to conform to God's way of thinking.

Speaker A:

And then times of refreshing and encouragement will come from the Lord.

Speaker A:

That basically is saying times of the kingdom manifestation will come where the presence of the Lord accompanies your decision to yield to the will of God.

Speaker A:

For those that are like, but how do I do it in an area that I keep failing in, like a besetting sin?

Speaker A:

I'm just going to be as honest with you as I can be.

Speaker A:

And people aren't going to like it.

Speaker A:

And I'm never going to sit there and apologize for doing the best I can and stuff.

Speaker A:

When you're struggling with a sin and it's over and you go through it and go through it, here's my strongest advice.

Speaker A:

Repent of it every single day.

Speaker A:

Don't repent and forget it.

Speaker A:

Bring it before the Lord.

Speaker A:

Say, I receive your forgiveness.

Speaker A:

Find that renewal, find that change, Find that stuff.

Speaker A:

And by the way, if you think God is incapable of cleansing you that way, you're wrong.

Speaker A:

The mercies and the compassions of God are new every morning.

Speaker A:

You think that was written in lamentations for nothing.

Speaker A:

It was written for our benefit, so that we can know every day can be a brand new day.

Speaker A:

The past doesn't own you.

Speaker A:

And if you falter, acknowledge it.

Speaker A:

We've said this multiple times.

Speaker A:

Eat the pie and eat it fast.

Speaker A:

If the Lord challenges you, acknowledge it.

Speaker A:

If you're struggling and you're not doing good on it, acknowledge it.

Speaker A:

Bring it to the Lord.

Speaker A:

Have him be your partner in it.

Speaker A:

Don't beat yourself up for it.

Speaker A:

Work with God to get to the place where it doesn't have the quick connection to you.

Speaker A:

It's all broken through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

The redeeming work of Jesus Christ enables us to come over any sin.

Speaker A:

But some of us need a little more time and a little more effort and a little more commitment to breaking through certain sins in our lives.

Speaker A:

We think God doesn't know that.

Speaker A:

He's up there going, what?

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

I don't get it.

Speaker A:

You're not catching God by surprise.

Speaker A:

And you're not hiding it from God either, since he knows every thought, every feeling, every movement.

Speaker A:

What you do is you be honest and you say, I need a brand new day.

Speaker A:

I need a new start.

Speaker A:

I need a fresh start.

Speaker A:

You don't sit there and wallow in the mire.

Speaker A:

You ask for help.

Speaker A:

Let the Lord know how much you love him and appreciate and receive it.

Speaker A:

Because you have to receive that mercy.

Speaker A:

And from that comes not just forgiveness, but also a refreshing, a renewal, a strengthening, a lifting up.

Speaker A:

Not only can your struggle does not have to own you, it could turn into something that's marvelous because the presence of God is manifested because of your attitude towards it.

Speaker A:

And before the Lord.

Speaker A:

He is your Savior and He is your Lord of every area in your life.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station.

Speaker A:

Here in Texas.

Speaker A:

22 and a half hour break.

Speaker A:

Hopefully the power will be on.

Speaker A:

Talk to you then.

Speaker A:

Everything we find keeps the Hungry Giant.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.
