02-26-2025 part 2: Frustration and Faith: Reconciling Our Desires with God's Plan
Dr. David Spoon brings the discourse today and revolves around the inherent frustrations that permeate human existence, particularly stemming from our desire to exert control over our circumstances. We elucidate the futility of such attempts, positing that the very act of striving for control often leads to detrimental outcomes. The dialogue further explores the biblical perspective that true peace and understanding lie in recognizing the goodness of God and relying upon His love. We reflect upon personal anecdotes and scriptural insights, emphasizing the necessity of surrendering our anxieties and trusting in divine providence. Ultimately, we aim to impart a profound truth: that embracing the sovereignty of God can transform our frustrations into opportunities for spiritual growth and deeper faith.
A profound exploration of the nuances of life's frustrations forms the crux of our discussion, as we delve into the inherent human desire to exert control over our circumstances. From the outset, the thematic focus is on the recognition that life is often marked by unpredictability and disappointment, thus eliciting a natural inclination to manipulate outcomes. I articulate that this desire for control, while seemingly justified, frequently leads to detrimental consequences, encapsulated in the assertion: "when we run things, we often ruin things." This phrase serves as a cornerstone for our dialogue, emphasizing the futility of human effort in the face of divine sovereignty.
As the conversation unfolds, we draw from biblical texts, particularly James 4:13-14, to illustrate the transient nature of human plans and ambitions. We confront the uncomfortable truth that our lives are but a vapor, subject to the whims of fate, which fuels a pervasive anxiety within us. The listener is invited to reflect on their struggles with control, anxiety, and the existential fears that emerge when faced with the unpredictability of life. This narrative aims not only to resonate with the audience's personal experiences but also to instill a sense of humility regarding our place in the grand tapestry of existence.
In addressing these profound themes, I offer a path forward, urging listeners to lean into the goodness of God amidst life's chaos. It is a call to trust in a higher plan, one where divine intervention supersedes our often misguided attempts at control. The episode culminates in an invitation to embrace a faith that transcends our immediate frustrations, fostering a deeper relationship with the Creator who is ultimately in charge of our journeys.
Takeaways:
- In life, our desire to control situations often leads to frustration and disappointment, as exemplified by the struggles faced by various individuals.
- The importance of trusting in God's goodness is paramount, as it serves as a foundation for overcoming life's challenges and frustrations.
- Anxiety and fear frequently arise when we attempt to manage our lives independently, highlighting our need for divine guidance and support.
- Daily engagement with God is essential for spiritual growth and resilience, fostering a deeper understanding of His purpose in our lives.
- The interplay of life's frustrations and our attempts to control them reveals a fundamental truth: relinquishing control can lead to a richer, more fulfilling experience.
- Ultimately, embracing the truth that God is good allows us to navigate life's tumultuous waters with faith and confidence, transforming our perspective on challenges.

And now for something completely different.
Speaker A:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
Speaker A:It's wild and wonderful.
Speaker A:What's gonna happen?
Speaker A:We have no idea.
Speaker A:Hey, let's sit back and enjoy the ride.
Speaker A:Can I get a Wowzer bowser Wednesday, because God is in charge of this crazy bus called the Christian Journey.
Speaker A:First, how I love Wednesdays.
Speaker A:I don't love Wednesdays because they're in the middle of the week.
Speaker A:I love Wednesdays because I get to teach classics.
Speaker A:Yay.
Speaker A:That does not mean there's less review or study for me.
Speaker A:For those that are thinking, oh, you just get to do less, no, it just means that I know what I'm going to share has a lot of impact because I've had the opportunity to let it impact me in the past and it will do so again in the present and hopefully again in the future.
Speaker A:I want to talk to you with a heart to heart lesson.
Speaker A:Ready?
Speaker A:Life can be frustrating.
Speaker A:Well, you thought it was going to be revelatory, huh?
Speaker A:Life can be frustrating.
Speaker A:Now here's the big part of the trouble.
Speaker A:The trouble is that what we want.
Speaker A:That's the problem.
Speaker A:We feel, we want.
Speaker A:We wrestle and we struggle because we want to control.
Speaker A:We want to feel, you know, we want to run it.
Speaker A:We feel there's fear.
Speaker A:We wrestle with anxiety.
Speaker A:We struggle to trust.
Speaker A:And there's nobody I have ever met in all of life except for Jesus, who.
Speaker A:This doesn't apply to nobody.
Speaker A:We have a desire to run things.
Speaker A:Let me say this real quickly.
Speaker A:This is a great line.
Speaker A:You should know this really well.
Speaker A:We have a desire to run things, and when we run things, we often ruin things.
Speaker A:What was that line, Dave?
Speaker A:That line was, we have this desire to run things, but when we run things, we often ruin things.
Speaker A:Finally, of course, the answer is found in the truth.
Speaker A:But I'm not going to give you those answers in just three straight, simple phrases.
Speaker A:Instead, I want to do my best to churn up the date dirt so that this truth can be planted in soil that will bring forth fruit.
Speaker A:Perhaps it'll be thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold.
Speaker A:Perhaps it'll just be one step forward.
Speaker A:Perhaps it'll be one step forward, but two steps backwards.
Speaker A:Even if that's the case, you would still net.
Speaker A:One step and one step closer to Jesus is all that any of us can ever, ever ask for.
Speaker B:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
Speaker B:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
Speaker B:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely Changed.
Speaker B:The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
Speaker B:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
Speaker B:He joined kaam and this radio program began.
Speaker B:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Local, national, and heavenly talk.
Speaker A:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
Speaker A:Lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities, and oyva, so much more.
Speaker A:Now, remember, it's not professional radio.
Speaker A:Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and creatures of all ages and sizes, it's not professional radio.
Speaker A:And to prove that, we're going to ask Captain Caveman, the Captain Caveman of professional radio.
Speaker A:We're going back to the 70s there.
Speaker A:Captain Caveman of professional radio, our very own Jam and Jacob.
Speaker A:Jam and Jacob.
Speaker A:As the captain Caveman of professional radio is the David Smoon Experience.
Speaker A:Professional radio.
Speaker A:No, it is not David.
Speaker A:See, now, what's amazing is Captain Caveman couldn't really speak English.
Speaker A:He just.
Speaker A:But you were able to speak.
Speaker A:That was pretty good.
Speaker A:I should have just started speaking gibberish or something like that.
Speaker A:Those of you who are remembering Captain Caveman.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:You are that old.
Speaker A:All right, so here's how this.
Speaker A:I've never heard of it.
Speaker A:I know.
Speaker A:There's so many of these I could do.
Speaker A:I could do, like, a thousand of these.
Speaker A:You'd be like, who's that?
Speaker A:Is it.
Speaker A:Is it like a cartoon?
Speaker A:Yes, it's a cartoon.
Speaker A:It's a little caveman that has nothing but long hair from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet, and he's about 4ft tall.
Speaker A:I'll have to look into that.
Speaker A:That's funny, Captain Caveman.
Speaker A:Anyway, here it is.
Speaker A:It's not professional radio.
Speaker A:Come on.
Speaker A:It's barely radio.
Speaker A:We always say it's two cans and a string.
Speaker A:Here's the deal, though.
Speaker A:We do want to know how you're doing.
Speaker A:We really appreciate Shannon calling in, and we got this opportunity to pray with her and hear she got to get a praise report as well as we got to pray for her.
Speaker A:And that's another FEB buddy you guys should be thinking of.
Speaker A:Plus, we prayed for Papa and Angelina.
Speaker A:We prayed for Jeanette.
Speaker A:We prayed for Keith Oakley and Noelle and my wife.
Speaker A:We pray for these.
Speaker A:These are people you can be Feb buddies.
Speaker A:Still got 3 days left in February.
Speaker A:Come on, now.
Speaker A:They used to say that in church, online.
Speaker A:Come on, now.
Speaker A:All right, so here's what I'm saying.
Speaker A:Hey, you can reach out and contact us while the show is going on for whatever's going on.
Speaker A:You know how you do that?
Speaker A:Well, you can email us.
Speaker A:That's always good.
Speaker A:Email davidemustincrease.org that makes it easy.
Speaker A:Davidmustincrease.org David because that's my name.
Speaker A:He must increase.
Speaker A:Because that's the ministry name.
Speaker A:He must increase.
Speaker A:Ministry.org is we're a nonprofit organization.
Speaker A:That's why.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or you can call us.
Speaker A:That's right, you can call us.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:Talking to Jam and Jacob is like waking up and feeling like you got a great night's sleep.
Speaker A:Thank you, David.
Speaker A:Happy Wednesday.
Speaker A:Happy Wednesday to you my friend.
Speaker A:A wonderful opening up call in the beginning of our show for first time caller.
Speaker A:That was great.
Speaker A:And when you see the rest of this stuff, this is going to be like Wowzer Bowser stuff.
Speaker A:That's all I can say.
Speaker A:Wowzer Bowser Wednesday.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Yeah, I'll be listening.
Speaker A:Wowzer Bowser Wednesday.
Speaker A:Wowzer Bowser Wednesday.
Speaker A:Don't forget and don't forget what we said about FEB buddies.
Speaker A:Everybody needs to participate.
Speaker A:That would be phenomenal.
Speaker A:I do want you to know that there are reasons to reach out to us.
Speaker A:It can be for a praise report.
Speaker A:Maybe you've got something that you want to share, something that happens, something the Lord blessed you in.
Speaker A:In fact, that was our opening question for the day.
Speaker A:How have you been blessed this week?
Speaker A:That's a great question because it helps you take the temperature on where you're at with the Lord.
Speaker A:That's why That's a good question.
Speaker A:That might be another stay long term question for us.
Speaker A:I like those additionally.
Speaker A:So it's a praise report or anything and you don't have to share it.
Speaker A:Well, that's not what does it.
Speaker A:How you share a testimony is insignificant as is possible.
Speaker A:Remember the guy in the Garden of Geradines where Jesus cast the spirit out of him and then Jesus says go and tell everybody what happened.
Speaker A:He didn't go to church and go through 13 classes to tell people what happened.
Speaker A:He just went and told people what Jesus did for him.
Speaker A:And people were amazed because it's God's work, not ours.
Speaker A:We're just a part of it.
Speaker A:But that's fun that we get to be a part of it.
Speaker A:So you get to share a testimony.
Speaker A:You can maybe have a prayer request.
Speaker A:Something going on.
Speaker A:You need help.
Speaker A:Maybe you got something going on.
Speaker A:Like, people have stuff going on all the time, right?
Speaker A:So keep that aware.
Speaker A:I know.
Speaker A:Joanne and Cordia just sent me a test.
Speaker A:They're having plumbing things going on there.
Speaker A:You need to be praying for Joanna and Cordia so their plumbing issues can be eased.
Speaker A:That could be a fed, buddy.
Speaker A:All you gotta do is mention them in prayer.
Speaker A:You don't have to build an altar.
Speaker A:Just pray before the Lord.
Speaker A:Lord, bless them, Help them in Jesus name.
Speaker A:Help Joanne and Cordelia with their plumbing issue.
Speaker A:What did that take?
Speaker A:15 seconds out of life, really?
Speaker A:So maybe you got that.
Speaker A:Maybe you got something you just want to share.
Speaker A:You just noticed something.
Speaker A:It's just like this really caught my attention.
Speaker A:I never saw this.
Speaker A:Or this is really cool.
Speaker A:Maybe you have an answer to Bible trivia.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:Maybe you have an answer to Bible trivia.
Speaker A:Ready?
Speaker A:Here's your first trivia question.
Speaker A:Ready?
Speaker A:I hope you're ready.
Speaker A:Is Esau one of the 12 tribes of Israel?
Speaker A:Yes or no?
Speaker A:Now, there's no politician answers here.
Speaker A:It's yes or no.
Speaker A:Is Esau one of the 12 tribes of Israel?
Speaker A:Yes or no?
Speaker A:If you think you know the answer, you're welcome to reach out to us.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or send an email davidmustincrease.org Is Esau one of the 12 tribes of Israel?
Speaker A:Yes or no?
Speaker A:Reach out and let us know what you think.
Speaker A:In the meantime, we're gonna do our DNA because that's the building blocks that we believe we're made of.
Speaker A:D stands for Draw closer to the Lord.
Speaker A:Daily.
Speaker A:So you get the Daily Planet a newspaper.
Speaker A:That means you would get it every day if you're a Superman fan, right?
Speaker A:Or when Jesus said, give us this day our daily bread.
Speaker A:He's talking about day and daily.
Speaker A:Daily, daily, daily.
Speaker A:It's not got anything to do with Chicago mayors.
Speaker A:It has to do with every day that ends in Y.
Speaker A:Every day that ends in Y.
Speaker A:Spend some time with the guy in the sky.
Speaker A:Got it.
Speaker A:Cool.
Speaker A:That's what we need to be doing.
Speaker A:Draw closer to the Lord daily, and you might even say, why?
Speaker A:I'll just tell you why.
Speaker A:Forget all the other stuff that people say.
Speaker A:I'll just make it really easy.
Speaker A:It will make your life better.
Speaker A:No matter where you're at, the more time you spend with God, the better your life is, period.
Speaker A:There's nothing that anybody can say.
Speaker A:I don't care what any politician or Hollywood person says or any media person making everybody dumber in America or any kind of academic says.
Speaker A:When you spend more time with God, you have a better life.
Speaker A:Period.
Speaker A:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:Yes, I understand.
Speaker A:You don't understand everything.
Speaker A:I don't understand everything.
Speaker A:In fact, on this side, I don't believe anybody understands everything until we see him face to face.
Speaker A:Then we shall see him like he is, and then we'll get it all.
Speaker A:But till then, we don't fully get everything.
Speaker A:But in the meantime, are you going to be ashamed of Jesus?
Speaker A:Are you going to be ashamed of his word?
Speaker A:God created the universe.
Speaker A:The dude can write a book.
Speaker A:Just because other people try to mock it and people are bent on pleasing people doesn't mean you gotta fall down that trap.
Speaker A:Pleasing people led to the crucifixion of Jesus.
Speaker A:Yeah, don't do that.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:So d Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:A Always be ready to serve.
Speaker A:You gotta be ready.
Speaker A:That is one thing that I don't think people are.
Speaker A:You're not allowed to use the.
Speaker A:I wasn't ready.
Speaker A:That is not going to be an excuse for any person anywhere.
Speaker A:Ten virgins.
Speaker A:Five were prepared and ready, and five were not.
Speaker A:Five went in and five did not.
Speaker A:Okay, the idea behind this is to be ready and the Lord is coming back.
Speaker A:Now you might say, well, this has to happen and this has to happen.
Speaker A:I'll just say this and this will change your entire theology.
Speaker A:He can come back for you personally in 10 seconds.
Speaker A:So don't be too swift.
Speaker A:See what I'm saying?
Speaker A:Just be aware that we need to be ready.
Speaker A:That's what he asks us to.
Speaker A:In fact, Jesus specifically commands us to be ready.
Speaker A:That's what he does.
Speaker A:That's what we need to do.
Speaker A:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:Always be ready.
Speaker A:Be ready to serve.
Speaker A:Be ready to honor your king.
Speaker A:Be ready for whatever the Lord desires to be able to say, yes, Lord.
Speaker A:Yes, Lord.
Speaker A:Okay, your trivia question Esau is one of the 12 tribes.
Speaker A:Yes or no?
Speaker A:That is the question.
Speaker A:If you think you know, you can reach out to us, we are going to jump into the word, by the way.
Speaker A:But if you think you know, you're still welcome to contact us.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A:I love this message.
Speaker A:We're having a heart to heart.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I love the new King James translation in Ecclesiastes 1:1, where it says meaningless.
Speaker A:Meaningless.
Speaker A:Everything is meaningless.
Speaker A:And then it has substitute words in the text which could also be translated from the Hebrew.
Speaker A:And one of those substitute words is frustration.
Speaker A:Frustrating.
Speaker A:Frustrating.
Speaker A:Everything is frustrating.
Speaker A:Can you relate?
Speaker A:Life can be frustrating.
Speaker A:Three steps forward, two steps back.
Speaker A:Hey.
Speaker A:Yay.
Speaker A:So what's going on there?
Speaker A:I'll tell you what's going on.
Speaker A:It's the same thing that's been going on.
Speaker A:It's been going on since Adam and Eve.
Speaker A:That tells you how old this is.
Speaker A:We're trying to be in charge of everything.
Speaker A:James 4, 13, 14.
Speaker A:Now listen, you who say today or tomorrow we will go to this city or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.
Speaker A:Why, you don't even know what will happen tomorrow.
Speaker A:What is your life?
Speaker A:It is but a vapor.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:Well, Dave.
Speaker A:No, I'm the master of my destiny.
Speaker A:Right up until a piano falls on your head.
Speaker A:You are.
Speaker A:I know the poem.
Speaker A:I know what they say.
Speaker A:It's ridiculous.
Speaker A:I'm the master of my destiny.
Speaker A:But then that guy cuts you off in the fouillo and you almost crash.
Speaker A:Guess what?
Speaker A:That was almost the end of your destiny.
Speaker A:I'm just trying to point out that we're the master of very little, except for the very sin that we operate in in our lives.
Speaker A:So the idea that we need to be in charge.
Speaker A:If you think you need to run it, you're probably already ruining it.
Speaker A:Our need to control.
Speaker A:To be in charge.
Speaker A:Oh, what happened in Adam and Eve?
Speaker A:I just want to share it because it's so much fun.
Speaker A:What did Satan say to Eve that made it appealing?
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:Once you eat that fruit, you'll be like God.
Speaker A:I know, but God is in control.
Speaker A:Exactly.
Speaker A:You'll be just like God.
Speaker A:How'd that work out?
Speaker A:Not so great.
Speaker A:That's what we got to watch now.
Speaker A:There's a reason that we want to control.
Speaker A:I'm going to give you a couple of them.
Speaker A:This one just before we break.
Speaker A:This is a great one.
Speaker A:Sometimes we try to control.
Speaker A:Get this, get this.
Speaker A:Because we fear.
Speaker A:2nd Corinthians 7:5.
Speaker A:For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn.
Speaker A:Conflicts on the outside, fears within.
Speaker A:You know who wrote that?
Speaker A:The Apostle Paul.
Speaker A:You think he knew the word pretty good since he was writing quite a bit of it.
Speaker A:You know what he said?
Speaker A:We came to Macedonia, we were not at peace at all.
Speaker A:That's what no rest means.
Speaker A:We were harassed everywhere we were going.
Speaker A:There were conflicts everywhere we were going.
Speaker A:Inside.
Speaker A:We were freaking out.
Speaker A:Yes, the apostle was freaking out.
Speaker A:That's exactly what he's saying.
Speaker A:Conflicts on the outside, fears within.
Speaker A:2 Corinthians 7:5.
Speaker A:So when it gets frustrating, it is because we cannot control it.
Speaker A:And then we have to fight along.
Speaker A:Fear.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:We come back, we are going to examine a few other things that add to that, but then also dig into the real answers.
Speaker A:In the meantime, Esau is one of the 12 tribes of Israel.
Speaker A:Yes or no?
Speaker A:The answer is no.
Speaker A:He's not one of the 12 tribes.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Just trying to help you out there.
Speaker A:All right, we'll take a short break, then come back.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break.
Speaker A:Don't go anywhere.

Speaker B:To give to all of us his time, energy, like so few can.
Speaker B:Right here on kaam.
Speaker A:What is the David Spoon experience?
Speaker A:This is the way I put it.
Speaker A:He's still working on me to make me what I ought to be.
Speaker A:That's exactly right.
Speaker A:That's an excellent say.
Speaker A:He's still working on me to make me what I ought to be.
Speaker A:That's a great line.
Speaker A:That's excellent.
Speaker A:And let me share this story with you.
Speaker A:I got to share this thing.
Speaker A:You brought that up about the gas.
Speaker A:And I've talked about this story one other time, but I'll bring it up again when I, my brother and I, Billy and Larry and Bruce and I were at Foundation Fellowship.
Speaker A:It was a church long ago.
Speaker A:This lady testified it was just so amazing.
Speaker A:It was right when the gas was going absolutely crazy.
Speaker A:And she said, she's filling up her car and she puts.
Speaker A:The car was empty.
Speaker A:She put the gas in and she looked up to heaven and she said, how are we going to get through this?
Speaker A:This is absolutely, this is getting to be ridiculous.
Speaker A:She put the car and she started filling up the gas.
Speaker A:And after about a dollar, it stopped and it wouldn't pump anymore.
Speaker A:She'd only pay about a buck's worth.
Speaker A:And her car was empty.
Speaker A:And on a dollar, God filled her tank completely.
Speaker A:And so it's just like, God can do anything.
Speaker A:It's like, oh, no, I'm telling that lady.
Speaker A:She was.
Speaker A:You just could not.
Speaker A:You cannot take the joy of the Lord away from her.
Speaker A:She was like, so happy.
Speaker A:She was restrained in sharing it, but it just tells you God can take anything we have and multiply it and get us through.
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Here is your next trivia question.
Speaker A:Okay, you ready?
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A: First Corinthians: Speaker A: First Corinthians: Speaker A:Who is not the author of confusion, but of peace?
Speaker A:Who is not the author of confusion, but the author of Peace?
Speaker A: First Corinthians: Speaker A:If you think you know the answer, you are welcome to reach out to us.
Speaker A:It is called a telephone, but it does work.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: You can also text: Speaker A:Or send an email david@hemustincrease.org okay.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:So the question, I'd like you guys to use the text so that you can get the specific right answer.
Speaker A:But, you know, I give a lot of leeway in people answering, but the question is straightforward.
Speaker A:Who is not the author of confusion?
Speaker A:Who is not the author of confusion, but of peace?
Speaker A: Corinthians: Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:If you think you know, reach out to us and let us know.
Speaker A:In the meantime, we are going to dive back into the word because I don't want to miss this.
Speaker A:I want to get this teaching in because I think this will really help a lot of people.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:So I just want to keep it there.
Speaker A:So we just talked about the understanding that it's just a truthfulness.
Speaker A:There's something weird about it.
Speaker A:It's straightforward.
Speaker A:And the truth.
Speaker A:Life can be frustrating.
Speaker A:It's not frustrating 24 7.
Speaker A:I mean, let's be at least honest.
Speaker A:But you can feel that it's just always like, oh, and part of the problem is we want to control.
Speaker A:And don't tell me you don't want to control.
Speaker A:I mean, just even Martha and Mary.
Speaker A:So, I mean, they were so faithful and devoted to Jesus.
Speaker A:Even both of them said, you know, if you'd have been here, Both of them said the same thing.
Speaker A:Sisters in the same family.
Speaker A:If you'd have been here, it wouldn't have happened.
Speaker A:That's what we say to the Lord.
Speaker A:You know, if youf had done this, this is how we say it to the Lord.
Speaker A:We sanctify it.
Speaker A:Lord, if you had.
Speaker A:If only, if only.
Speaker A:And then you just fill in whatever you're going to fill in.
Speaker A:We don't say next time.
Speaker A:We just go, if only.
Speaker A:And then we blame God.
Speaker A:Yes, that is blaming God, by the way.
Speaker A:He's not unaware of it.
Speaker A:So it gets frustrating.
Speaker A:And then we want to control it.
Speaker A:And that's not great, right?
Speaker A:Because that's not a great thing to do.
Speaker A:Because if we try to run it, we will often ruin it.
Speaker A:And then the thing that happens when we're not able to control it and it's frustrating is we feel the fear.
Speaker A:Just like Paul said, He goes, conflicts on the outside, fears within.
Speaker A:He could feel it.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:And there's other things that contribute to this.
Speaker A: strating comes out of Matthew: Speaker A:The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.
Speaker A:Another thing that happens is that we wrestle with anxiety.
Speaker A:Anxiety, and it's the worries of this life.
Speaker A:And it's like.
Speaker A:And that's what makes life frustrating.
Speaker A:And just in case you're wondering, did Jesus say it's that way?
Speaker A:Jesus in John 14:1 said, do not let your hearts be troubled.
Speaker A:You believe in God, believe also in me.
Speaker A:He's telling people, don't let that happen because it's going to happen to so many of you.
Speaker A:Don't let your heart be troubled.
Speaker A:And he tells you what to do.
Speaker A:You believe in God, believe in me.
Speaker A:Believe in what I have to say.
Speaker A:I'm with you.
Speaker A:And so what happens is we get frustrated.
Speaker A:We try to control.
Speaker A:That doesn't work.
Speaker A:We wrestle.
Speaker A:We're fighting fear because we can feel it.
Speaker A:We're wrestling with anxiety, and we're struggling to trust the Lord.
Speaker A:That happens.
Speaker A:So we need to have a response that is biblical and solid and based in truth, don't we?
Speaker A:Yes, we do, and we'll get to that in a minute.
Speaker A:In the meantime, I think we have somebody that wants to answer the trivia question.
Speaker A:So let's let them do that and see what's happening with them as well.
Speaker A:Go ahead and send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker A:Hey, Shel.
Speaker A:Hey, Shell.
Speaker A:How are you?
Speaker A:I'm either Shell or Barry White, one of the two, based on my allergy.
Speaker A:That's a good one, though.
Speaker A:Love it.
Speaker A:Love it.
Speaker A:Let me set you up on the.
Speaker A:Let me set you up on the question, and then we'll go from there.
Speaker A:All right, you ready?
Speaker A: Corinthians: Speaker A:The author of confusion?
Speaker A:That would be Jesus.
Speaker A:That would be Jesus.
Speaker A:That would be God.
Speaker A:That would be correct.
Speaker A:God is not the author of confusion.
Speaker A:It's very important to understand that, because what we do is we, like.
Speaker A:I don't get it, right?
Speaker A:And then just like we're talking about, you're trying to figure it all out.
Speaker A:And it's like, the Lord's not the one up there going, I'm not confusing things for you.
Speaker A:I just want you to know that that's true.
Speaker A:I mean, and the more I read, I'll go, well, I read that Scripture, and then it felt like it was confusing, but then you read it again.
Speaker C:And again, and all of a sudden.
Speaker A:It'S clear as day.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:And to say that when you're in Leviticus.
Speaker A:That says a lot.
Speaker A:Very, very good, my brother.
Speaker A:Oh, that's excellent.
Speaker A:Excellent call.
Speaker A:Very funny, by the way.
Speaker A:I just wanted to tell you that.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:I put a kick in my step.
Speaker A:Very nice.
Speaker A:And I do remember Captain Caveman, so.
Speaker A:Yeah, see, see, I knew who you were referencing.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Did you like it?
Speaker A:I did like it.
Speaker A:Thank you, brother.
Speaker A:That's very, very generous of you.
Speaker A:Excellent job, bro.
Speaker A:Excellent job.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:God bless, man.
Speaker A:God bless you, my friend.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Bye, bye, Bye, bye.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Excellent job, Michelle.
Speaker A:This is so funny.
Speaker A:All right, so I want to do this.
Speaker A:And we're going to break because I want to get to these answers, right.
Speaker A:Look, life can be frustrating, right?
Speaker A:It can be.
Speaker A:We want to control it.
Speaker A:That doesn't work.
Speaker A:I'm telling you.
Speaker A:If you try to run it, you're going to ruin it when you try and control it.
Speaker A:It's the same thing that happened to me when I was doing that baseball thing in Little League and I hit that, you know, I was just doing having the greatest year, and decided to be the catcher so I can catch the final out as the catcher.
Speaker A:And then even though I played first base for five years, I still played catcher every now and then.
Speaker A:I wanted to be a catcher so that when the guy struck out, I can grab the ball and I'd hold the ball and everybody rally behind me.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Except the very last out, the guy hit a small dribbler to first base.
Speaker A:That's what happens when you try and control things.
Speaker A:Hello.
Speaker A:We feel the fear, we wrestle with the anxiety, and we struggle to trust.
Speaker A:So we need a solution.
Speaker A:When we come back, we'll offer the solution.
Speaker A:How about that?
Speaker A:Take a short break.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break.
Speaker A:We'll be back.
Speaker A:Don't go anywhere.
Speaker A:The David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:You gotta do this with the Lord.
Speaker A:And you know you have to do this.
Speaker A:Every decision you make should be in the Lord.
Speaker A:If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously.
Speaker A:Well, in regards to this abortion thing, it's just freaking me out.
Speaker A:You just have to bear with me.
Speaker A:It's freaking me out because people are like, no, the Bible supports abortion absolutely, positively.
Speaker A:A lie.
Speaker A:Not even close.
Speaker A:But I just want to read you this one verse so that you can understand where I'm trying to go for.
Speaker A:And when people say it, you just take them to this one verse.
Speaker A:There's no way to get around it.
Speaker A: Ready Genesis: Speaker A:Let me just read it to you and listen.
Speaker A:This is the time where Abraham dies, right?
Speaker A:Abraham lived 175 years old.
Speaker A:Great guy.
Speaker A:Breathed his last in Genesis 25:8.
Speaker A:Down he goes.
Speaker A:In the meantime, you have Isaac and Isaac has Rebekah.
Speaker A:And she's not getting pregnant.
Speaker A:Remember that story.
Speaker A:So verse 21 says, Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife because she was barren.
Speaker A:And the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah, his wife, conceived.
Speaker A:Cool.
Speaker A:Not complex.
Speaker A:Verse 22.
Speaker A:But the children struggled together within her.
Speaker A:And she said, if all is well, why am I like this?
Speaker A:So she went to inquire of the Lord.
Speaker A:And the Lord said, two nations are in your womb.
Speaker A:Two peoples shall be separated from your body.
Speaker A:Two things in here that are impossible to miss.
Speaker A:The Bible says that the two in her womb are children.
Speaker A:Well, it's not a child, Dave, because it's not out of the womb.
Speaker A:You're an idiot.
Speaker A: y translation ever in Genesis: Speaker A:And the children are in the womb.
Speaker A:And then God tells her, yeah, you got two people in there.
Speaker A:They ain't going to be pretty.
Speaker A:They're going to have some interesting stuff's going to take place.
Speaker A:And actually what's going to happen is the older one's going to serve the younger one.
Speaker A:If you ever need a verse, besides John the Baptist leaping in the womb.
Speaker A:And people are like, well, that was John the Baptist.
Speaker A:He was special.
Speaker A:Then everybody in the Bible is special because every reference is the same.
Speaker A:These are children in the eyes of God in the womb.
Speaker A:These are not just children, they are people.
Speaker A:And the big thing in the kingdom of God, when you get into Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, just so you can know, just getting everybody on the same page, is the shedding of innocent blood is the single biggest putrid that God has about his people.
Speaker A:And when you terminate a child in the womb and that blood leaks, you have defiled the land with sin and pollution.
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at KAAMC, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's K double.
Speaker A:Amen 770.
Speaker A:The truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Boy, that Phil has some powerful stuff.
Speaker A:I don't care what anybody says.
Speaker A:Even I was, like, going, whoa, whoa.
Speaker A:All right, here we go.
Speaker A:Here's your next trivia question.
Speaker A:Let's see if we can do it.
Speaker A:This seems appropriate.
Speaker A:Who was Jacob's firstborn child?
Speaker A:Was it Reuben?
Speaker A:He had Joshua or Elah?
Speaker A:Genesis 35, 23.
Speaker A:Who was Jacob's firstborn child.
Speaker A: Genesis: Speaker A:Very nice job.
Speaker A:Who was Jacob's firstborn?
Speaker A:Reuben, Ehud, Joshua, or Elah.
Speaker A:That's the question.
Speaker A: Genesis: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:We live by what the donations of our listeners.
Speaker A:We are a nonprofit corporation and we have radio Rent due on Friday and we do not have it.
Speaker A:So I will ask everybody who has not given to consider giving those that have in the past.
Speaker A:You know how much I appreciate it.
Speaker A:Don't do something unless the Lord puts it on your heart.
Speaker A:But we're asking people to step up and help us so that we can take care of the radio Rent.
Speaker A:That simple.
Speaker A:The way to do that, you go to the website.
Speaker A:Hemustincrease.org Prayer Request hemosincrease.org Praise Report hemosincrease.org Looking to give to this ministry.
Speaker A:Hemustincrease.org Confused by what's happening right now.
Speaker A:Hemustincrease.org hemustincrease.org Yay.
Speaker A:This is the problem.
Speaker A:The problem is, see, people are like, well, you know, you're talking about these very serious issues now you're talking about abortion.
Speaker A:And then you hear that song and you go, yay.
Speaker A:It was fun.
Speaker A:What's the problem?
Speaker A:I don't have a problem with that.
Speaker A:If you have a problem with that, then you need to see.
Speaker A:I have two words for you.
Speaker A:Therapy.
Speaker A:Okay, we do have somebody ready to answer a trivia question.
Speaker A:Let's send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker A:David, good afternoon, it's jd.
Speaker A:Hey, jd.
Speaker A:How are you, bro?
Speaker A:The problem I thought I was having with work has now been resolved and.
Speaker C:Was very easy and so much better now.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:Praise the Lord.
Speaker A:That's awesome.
Speaker A:Awesome news.
Speaker A:So great news for you on that one.
Speaker A:Very, very good.
Speaker A:Awesome.
Speaker A:All right, my brother, are you ready for this big, heavy duty theological dive into Scripture to answer this big time question?
Speaker A:I believe I am.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Do you like how I set that up for you?
Speaker A:So it's like, no matter what, it's going to come off really good.
Speaker A:Who was Jacob's firstborn?
Speaker A:Was it Reuben, Ehud, Joshua, or Elah?
Speaker A:I just had a really big lunch.
Speaker A:But he still makes a really good sandwich.
Speaker A:Absolutely, that is correct.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:The reason I stayed away from the lunch is.
Speaker A:I think I did that last time.
Speaker A:As I said, it's one of my favorite sandwiches.
Speaker A:I think there was like 30 people that were like, Reuben, Reuben, Reuben, Reuben, Reuben.
Speaker A:It's like, oh, excellent job, my brother.
Speaker A:My brother in Christ.
Speaker A:My Bic.
Speaker A:Excellent job, my big.
Speaker A:I love it.
Speaker A:Thank you, my brother.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:God bless you, my brother.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:Bye.
Speaker A:Bye.
Speaker A:Take care.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Excellent phone call.
Speaker A:Excellent.
Speaker A:It's just excellent.
Speaker A:Okay, cool.
Speaker A:All right, so we're in the zone here.
Speaker A:So before we do history, anything else, I'm going to get into this little teaching thing.
Speaker A:This is really, really, really, really, really good.
Speaker A:So listen.
Speaker A:Listen to me.
Speaker A:Listen.
Speaker A:Forget that.
Speaker A:Just listen.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:We do have moments of frustration.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:We do got it right.
Speaker A:We do too often want to control things.
Speaker A:Truth.
Speaker A:Just say, okay.
Speaker A:That's true.
Speaker A:We feel the fear for those that want control of the control.
Speaker A:Verse James 4, 13, 14, we feel the fear.
Speaker A:2 Corinthians 7:5.
Speaker A:We wrestle with anxiety.
Speaker A: Matthew: Speaker A:We struggle to trust the Lord, even though Jesus said, don't let your hearts be troubled.
Speaker A:Which means that we have a choice in that matter.
Speaker A:So the first thing we need to do is answer this.
Speaker A:Well, how do we answer that about this frustration thing?
Speaker A:How do we deal with it?
Speaker A:What do you do?
Speaker A:Well, there's three things that I'm going to give you, and these are essential.
Speaker A:The first two specifically are so essential it's not even.
Speaker A:It's kind of weird to say it's so important.
Speaker A:Ready?
Speaker A:Psalm 73:1.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:Psalm 73:1.
Speaker A:For those that don't have that marked.
Speaker A:But you do.
Speaker A:Mark your Bibles.
Speaker A:Mark this first verse.
Speaker A:The rest of it goes in a different direction, which is still phenomenal.
Speaker A:But I want you to listen to verse one.
Speaker A:It says this certainly or surely or absolutely.
Speaker A:God is.
Speaker A:Is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Speaker A:The first thing we need to do to combat frustration in life is to stand in the truth that God is good.
Speaker A:That's the first thing.
Speaker A:Let me explain something to you that's been on my heart for years and years.
Speaker A:I've been trying to teach this for a long time, and I try to walk in it just like you do.
Speaker A:Oh, Dave's got it mastered.
Speaker A:No, I don't.
Speaker A:I have to remind myself on a regular basis.
Speaker A:I have to remind myself God is good.
Speaker A:I have to remind myself when I'm getting frustrated.
Speaker A:Here's the thing.
Speaker A:Here's where it all comes down to it.
Speaker A:We have to trust in the quality of God.
Speaker A:Listen to that statement.
Speaker A:We have to trust in the quality of God.
Speaker A:Not talking about quantity.
Speaker A:I'm talking about quality.
Speaker A:Do we trust the quality of God?
Speaker A:Psalm 73:1, which I can pull ten other verses, but I'm just using this one.
Speaker A:God is good.
Speaker A:Even in the midst of the frustration, even in the midst of trying to work through it, even though we're trying to control it.
Speaker A:And when we run it, we ruin it.
Speaker A:Even though we're fighting fear, even though we're wrestling with anxiety, even though we're struggling to trust.
Speaker A:This is the peg.
Speaker A:This is the first step.
Speaker A:This is the foundation to it.
Speaker A:Where it needs to be a deep part of us.
Speaker A:God is good.
Speaker A:And why you don't need more than that is because if you and I truly believe God is good, then we won't listen to the devil's accusations against us or against God.
Speaker A:Remember, part of his accusations to Adam and Eve were against God because he was making it seem like God was holding something back.
Speaker A:That's a big part of it right there.
Speaker A:When we feel like, well, God could just do this and he should just do this, and it should be, that's us telling God how to be God.
Speaker A:As you've witnessed in Job, when God answered him out of the whirlwind, we are not qualified.
Speaker A:As the Lord asked him one question that changed the whole program.
Speaker A:Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Speaker A:And then after Job caught it, he was like, I put my hand over my mouth.
Speaker A:God is good.
Speaker A:He knows perfectly how to parent.
Speaker A:He knows perfectly how to do it.
Speaker A:And you're like, but the circumstance is this.
Speaker A:He sees so far past your circumstance.
Speaker A:He sees every circumstance that's connected.
Speaker A:You know, this happens.
Speaker A:You throw a rock in the water, and there's 1 ripple, 2 ripple, 3 ripples, 5, 10, 23.
Speaker A:And they're going in all different directions.
Speaker A:God knows every single ripple.
Speaker A:And he's good.
Speaker A:So we need to trust in his quality.
Speaker A:We need to trust in the quality of God.
Speaker A:Think about that.
Speaker A:If we had more confidence in his quality and that he's good, we wouldn't let these externals.
Speaker A:We wouldn't let the circumstances.
Speaker A:We wouldn't let the world.
Speaker A:We wouldn't let Satan, and we wouldn't let our flesh tell us otherwise.
Speaker A:God is good.
Speaker A:I want you to just.
Speaker A:That's the one.
Speaker A:I don't care.
Speaker A:You have to tattoo it on your forehead.
Speaker A:That's not a tattoo.
Speaker A:That's going to offend the Lord.
Speaker A:I can promise you God is good.
Speaker A:And if you have to say to yourself a thousand times in order for you to catch it, fine, say it.
Speaker A:Because he is good.
Speaker A:And oh, by the way, he's never failed you.
Speaker A:Oh, he didn't do what you thought he should do.
Speaker A:But then you would make a lousy God anyway, wouldn't you?
Speaker A:Ouch.
Speaker A:Pull that dagger out of my back, Dave.
Speaker A:Okay, take a short break and then we'll come back.
Speaker A:Oh.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kaam 770, the true station here in Texas.

Speaker B:Do you love a good joke?
Speaker B:That's pretty bad.
Speaker A:What do you call an animal that doesn't practice what it preaches?
Speaker A:A hippocrypotamus.
Speaker B:Come on.
Speaker B:Do you love being able to ask questions, comments, or having someone to pray.
Speaker A:For you if you have an opinion, a comment, a thought, or a question?
Speaker A:We don't want to to die of loneliness.
Speaker A:We want it to have a chance.
Speaker B:And last but not least, do you love some trivia?
Speaker A:All right, we got our trivia question.
Speaker A:Who made clothes out of leaves that were sewed together?
Speaker A:Somebody want to answer the trivia?
Speaker A:Question.
Speaker A:Okay, hold on, hold on.
Speaker A:Here I go.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker A:We're talking to Mary.
Speaker A:This is Al.
Speaker A:This is Brother Ace.
Speaker A:This is Eric, this is Deborah.
Speaker B:Now if that doesn't make you curious, maybe you should tune in and check it out for yourself.
Speaker A:Think of me as the big brother that won't go away.
Speaker A:That's me.
Speaker B:Tune in to the David Spoon experience weekdays at 1.30pm on 770 kaam.
Speaker A:Because if there is no resurrection, there is no eternal being.
Speaker A:Do you understand?
Speaker A:It's not like we all do an osmosis and become part of some gaseous cloud that hangs around Jupiter and that's how we get one with the universe.
Speaker A:That's rubbish.
Speaker A:Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and three days later was raised from the dead.
Speaker A:And every single book in the New Testament testifies to that fact.
Speaker A:The David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Foreign welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam.
Speaker A:770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's Ka Men 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Your last trivia question.
Speaker A:When there was a war at Gath, there was a man of great stature who had how many fingers on each hand and how many toes on each foot?
Speaker A:This is out of 1 Chronicles 26.
Speaker A:When there was a war at Gath, there was a man of great stature who had how many fingers on each hand and how many toes on each foot?
Speaker A:4, 6, 8 or 10.
Speaker A:4, station.
Speaker A:6, 8 or 10.
Speaker A:When there was a war at Gath, there was a man of great stature who had how many fingers on each hand and how many toes on each foot?
Speaker A:4, 6, 8 or 10.
Speaker A:First Chronicles 26.
Speaker A:If you think you know you can reach out to us.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:I do want you to know that.
Speaker A:Be aware of that.
Speaker A:There was a war at Gath and there was a man of great stature had how many fingers on each hand and how many toes on each foot?
Speaker A:4, 6, 8 or 10.
Speaker A:First Chronicles 26.
Speaker A:So I do want you to be aware.
Speaker A:I need you guys to be praying for radio rent.
Speaker A:Just going to ask you to keep it in prayer.
Speaker A:Make it something you bring before the Lord.
Speaker A:Because we got to do it on Friday.
Speaker A:Friday.
Speaker A:And so we want to get that taken care of.
Speaker A:In the meantime, I do want to make sure you have an opportunity to answer the trivia question.
Speaker A:So we'll see if that's going to be taking place relatively soon.
Speaker A:Do we have somebody that wants to answer?
Speaker A:They do want to answer the trivia question.
Speaker A:Okey dokey.
Speaker A:Let's send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker C:David.
Speaker C:Yes, this is Deborah.
Speaker A:This is Deborah.
Speaker C:Yes, I just found a place to pull my car over to in the shade.
Speaker C:Thank you, Lord.
Speaker A:It's nice enough, though, where you need the shade.
Speaker A:That's good.
Speaker A:Yes, sir.
Speaker C:That.
Speaker C:That and elbows.
Speaker C:I know, I know.
Speaker C:That didn't make any sense.
Speaker C:I've been.
Speaker C:I've been going to physical therapy for my back.
Speaker C:And they say turn over on your back after you've been on your stomach.
Speaker C:And it helps to have elbows when you can't really move well, to turn onto your back.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker C:Thank God for elbows.
Speaker A:Elbows.
Speaker A:Elbows make.
Speaker C:And I hate to be.
Speaker C:I always am reluctant to ask for prayer for myself because I know God is so good.
Speaker A:Yeah, he is good.
Speaker C:He is good and he knows my troubles.
Speaker C:He knows me better than I know myself.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:He does.
Speaker A:Every nuance, even things you hide from yourself.
Speaker A:He knows.
Speaker C:Yes, but I will take a prayer because I'm supposed to have an injection on my back pretty soon, so I'll definitely take prayer, sir.
Speaker A:You got it.
Speaker A:I will pray for you.
Speaker A:Do you want to try and answer the triv question?
Speaker C:Sure, I'll answer it.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker C:I think I know the answer, but of course, I'm not real sure 100%.
Speaker C:But.
Speaker C:Was it six?
Speaker A:That is correct, Emmanuel.
Speaker A:Six fingers, six toes.
Speaker A:Six on each hand, six on each foot.
Speaker A:It's very simple for that guy.
Speaker A:No gloves.
Speaker A:That's how it works.
Speaker C:I think I knew somebody in my life, long story short, that had six fingers.
Speaker A:It's definitely a unique element.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Although if they were really good at the guitar, that could be kind of interesting.
Speaker C:Don't know about that one.
Speaker A:Let me pray over you, Deborah.
Speaker A:Okay, thank you.
Speaker A:All right, let's pray.
Speaker A:Father, we come before you right now, and first we just want to lift up Deborah to you right now and just ask for your blessing on her body.
Speaker A:Physically, she's got some activity going on, Lord, but you are a doctor.
Speaker A:You're way more than a doctor.
Speaker A:You're the creator.
Speaker A:So we ask you to touch her physical body by the power of the Holy Spirit, and let her faith be strong and steadfast, knowing that you do the job in excellence while everybody just practices you accomplish.
Speaker A:And so we ask you to do that very thing and bring healing into her body, into her back, into her being.
Speaker A:Fill her full of your energy.
Speaker A:And while I'm praying for her, Lord, I do want to pray for Liza's aunt to just be the touch for her.
Speaker A:She's having a hard time lifting up a friend of shells.
Speaker A:Lord, you are the answer to all of these prayers.
Speaker A:You are the answer.
Speaker A:Answer for Deborah yourself.
Speaker C:Be you.
Speaker C:If I understood you to say Lisa vent, Father, God put your amazing healing upon her like, like water.
Speaker C:You will wash her clean and brand new.
Speaker C:Yes, Lord, in your mighty name, amen.
Speaker C:Hey, David, would you like to know about a guy that's a, a, almost like a, a brother of yours in Christ who is the opposite of you?
Speaker C:He was born Muslim and he became a Christian over his drug use.
Speaker C:His name is jd.
Speaker C:He says his name is pronounced Frog, but I, I call him Farage.
Speaker C:He's in Hawaii.
Speaker C:F A R A G.
Speaker C:If you've never heard him, I'm going like, y'all are spitting image, are so off the cuff and amazing in your, and your sharing of, of your, of Christ.
Speaker C:Let's just say of Christ.
Speaker C:He's awesome.
Speaker A:Awesome.
Speaker A:That's awesome.
Speaker C:If you ever want to pull him up, JD Farage frog@.org he, he's, he does prophecy updates and, but I, I, when I, when I hear him, I'm going, oh, he's so much like David.
Speaker C:He's so much.
Speaker A:That's cool.
Speaker A:I will definitely check that out.
Speaker A:You know, I'll do it.
Speaker C:And hey, a shout out to Lynn.
Speaker C:If she's listening.
Speaker C:She's been listening every day.
Speaker C:I turned her, turned you on to her.
Speaker C:And she came in this morning to my little office and she says, have you been listening to Spoon?
Speaker C:Hello, Lynn.
Speaker A:I can't pay enough people $20 to do that.
Speaker C:All right, sir.
Speaker C:God bless you and Lisa.
Speaker C:You know, Lord, it's from our mouth to your ears.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Jesus name.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker C:Thank you.
Speaker C:Thank you, David, for all you do.
Speaker A:Bye bye.
Speaker C:Bye bye.
Speaker A:Excellent phone call.
Speaker A:Great.
Speaker A:All right, so we're going to finish off.
Speaker A:We're not going to do history.
Speaker A:I'm just going to finish this off because I think you guys would like this.
Speaker A:So you got that God is good.
Speaker A:That's the most important part about this whole thing.
Speaker A:Changes everything in your life, right?
Speaker A:Yes, of course.
Speaker A:First John 4:16, though, is worth the Mention, obviously.
Speaker A:So we know and rely on the love God has for us.
Speaker A:God is love.
Speaker A:Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them.
Speaker A:One thing that people don't recognize is we have to rely on God's love.
Speaker A:It's not just that he has it.
Speaker A:We need to rely on it.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:I mean, I want to say this in a nice way, although this is a terrible example, I suppose, but some of you wake up in the morning and you rely on that cup of coffee.
Speaker A:I mean, forgiveness is in the blood, but sometimes waking up is in the caffeine for some people.
Speaker A:But you rely on it.
Speaker A:Well, guess what?
Speaker A:We're supposed to rely on God's love.
Speaker A:We're supposed to be dependent on it, relying on it, counting on it.
Speaker A:Do we rely?
Speaker A:So, first, God is good.
Speaker A:Second, we can rely on his love.
Speaker A:What you perceive as frustrating is what you perceive as frustrating.
Speaker A:It might be God perceiving it as making you Christlike.
Speaker A:Who's going to win that argument?
Speaker A:God is.
Speaker A:And so the ultimate thing that I want to do, I had the Lord rebuke me.
Speaker A:I love being rebuked by the Lord.
Speaker A:Hey, his words are like life.
Speaker A:This actually came 14 and a half years ago.
Speaker A:I even have it written down.
Speaker A:Here's what the Lord reminded me about me trying to control things, coordinate and be him in certain circumstances.
Speaker A:He said, Look, Matthew 5:36, what it says, and do not swear by your head, for you can't even make one hair white or black.
Speaker A:You and I can't change.
Speaker A:Oh, we can dye it, but that doesn't change it at the roots.
Speaker A:And you and I both know that.
Speaker A:And even if you shave it, it still grows back.
Speaker A:You and I cannot change the color of our hair, white or black.
Speaker A:What gives us the audacity to think we can control the circumstances in life?
Speaker A:And that's Jesus saying that in the Sermon on the Mount, saying, sit down, Sparky, I got it covered.
Speaker A:Oh, God is good.
Speaker A:You can rely on his love.
Speaker A:You can't change anything.
Speaker A:He can change everything.
Speaker A:Good enough.
Speaker A:All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:22 and a half hour break, then we'll come back, More insanity with Spoonanity.
Speaker A:Talk to you then.
Speaker B:The views expressed on the preceding program.
Speaker A:Were those of the speakers and not necessarily those of kaam, DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.
