02-10-2025 part 2: Exploring the Divine: Abraham, Melchizedek, and the Nature of Blessings

This podcast episode delves into the profound spiritual implications of the encounter between Abraham and Melchizedek, emphasizing the significance of blessings and divine connection. We explore how Melchizedek, as the king of Salem and a priest of God Most High, symbolizes peace and a foreshadowing of Christ, thereby illuminating the intricate relationship between the Old and New Testaments. The discussion traverses the themes of gratitude and recognition of divine assistance, particularly highlighting the importance of acknowledging those who bless us. We also reflect on the personal journeys of faith, illustrating how God aids us in overcoming adversities through His unwavering support. Ultimately, this episode serves as a reminder that we are never alone in our struggles; rather, we are accompanied by a divine presence that empowers us to prevail against life's challenges.

The narrative unfolds with a profound exploration of the biblical text, specifically focusing on Genesis chapter 14, wherein the figure of Melchizedek emerges as a pivotal character. As a priest of the Most High God, Melchizedek encounters Abraham after his victory over the kings, bringing forth bread and wine—a symbolic gesture laden with theological significance. This exchange not only illustrates the bond between these two figures but also serves to bridge Old and New Testament themes, particularly in relation to the concept of peace represented by Melchizedek, the King of Salem. The discourse delves into the implications of this interaction, suggesting that the blessings pronounced by Melchizedek upon Abraham signify a divine endorsement of Abraham's endeavors, reinforcing the notion that true victory comes through God's assistance. The dialogue further contemplates the importance of recognizing and appreciating blessings in our lives, drawing a parallel to the need for gratitude in the face of divine favor, thereby enriching the listener's understanding of biblical narratives and their contemporary relevance.

Speaker A:

And now for something completely different.

Speaker A:

Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.

Speaker A:

It's marvelous, monumental, most fascinating, massively mind bending Monday as we join our hearts and minds as one, drawing closer to the King of Kings and glorifying his name.

Speaker A:

First time to get into the cool, juicy stuff in the book of Genesis.

Speaker A:

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Speaker A:

We're in chapter 14, picking it up at verse 17.

Speaker A:

This is after Abraham's victory over the kings.

Speaker A:

The king of Sodom comes out to congratulate Abraham.

Speaker A:

But Abraham, not a big fan of the king of sodom.

Speaker A:

However, verse 17 changes the complexity and shows us some of the deepest connections between the Old and New Testament.

Speaker A:

This stuff's lights out.

Speaker A:

Fantastic.

Speaker A:

We're going to get to it next.

Speaker A:

Verse 18 says Melchizedek, king of Salem and priest of God most High, brought Abraham bread and wine.

Speaker A:

Wowzer, Bowser, let's understand one thing right off the bat.

Speaker A:

The word Salem or salam means peace.

Speaker A:

So Melchizedek is the king of peace.

Speaker A:

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Speaker A:

Don't we know somebody in the New Testament who's called the Prince of Peace?

Speaker A:

That's super fascinating, isn't it?

Speaker A:

With the reality check that Hebrews chapter 17 is all about this.

Speaker A:

And finally, Melchizedek brings bread and wine and blesses Abraham.

Speaker A:

Melchizedek and Abraham are brothers in the kingdom of God, serving one true king.

Speaker A:

Abram has done a good thing for the people of God by protecting and recovering that which was taken away.

Speaker A:

And Melchizedek wants to celebrate with him and express a great level of appreciation.

Speaker A:

When somebody is blessing you, make sure you communicate your appreciation.

Speaker A:

You want to know why?

Speaker A:

Because it's biblical, it's godly, and it's the right thing to do.

Speaker B:

Speaker A:

Now remember, it's not professional radio and we're gonna try out A different kind of title for our very own.

Speaker A:

And I might make this one stick.

Speaker A:

We shall see.

Speaker A:

I have many others to go, but I do want to try this one.

Speaker A:

We're going to check in with the nicest guy in professional radio, our very own Jam and Jacob.

Speaker A:

Jam and Jacob is the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

You know, you being the nicest guy in radio, but is the David Spoon Experience professional radio?

Speaker C:

Well, David, I will say it nicely.

Speaker A:

No, there you go.

Speaker A:

There you go.

Speaker A:

And I might let that one stick for a while because I.

Speaker A:

I think you're just the nicest guy in professional radio.

Speaker C:

Well, thank you, David.

Speaker C:

I think you're very nice as well.

Speaker A:

All right, so here's the bottom line.

Speaker A:

The bottom line is it ain't pro.

Speaker A:

How do we say this in a really good way?

Speaker A:

Pro.

Speaker A:

It ain't.

Speaker A:

There's all these different ways I could say that.

Speaker A:

It's all the same thing.

Speaker A:

Look, it's just radio.

Speaker A:

Come on.

Speaker A:

You heard me yapping before, right?

Speaker A:

You'll hear me yapping again, right?

Speaker A:

I'm on the radio.

Speaker A:

That's what I do.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

And the bottom line is, and I've only said that once so far today, bottom line is simply this.

Speaker A:

We do want to know how you're doing.

Speaker A:

We do want to know how we can bless you.

Speaker A:

So what you can do during the show is email davidemustincrease.org that's davidemustincrease.org you can also text during the show.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Or you can call us.

Speaker A:

Yes, it's actually, it's permitted.

Speaker A:

972.

Speaker A:

It's encouraged.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

And when you make that call, you'll end up talking to our very own Jammin Jacob.

Speaker A:

Talking to Jammin Jacob is like knowing that your spiritual radio family has your back.

Speaker D:

Aw.

Speaker C:

Thank you, David.

Speaker C:

Happy Monday.

Speaker A:

Happy Monday to you, my friend.

Speaker A:

As most people know, we will be in just a few moments, either in this or in the next segment, getting into the specifics of the super bowl review under Jake's take.

Speaker A:

I've actually written a five good, five bad list for our little discussion.

Speaker A:

So we shall see how that breaks out.

Speaker A:

And we will get your opinion.

Speaker C:

Yes, you did.

Speaker C:

You went all out.

Speaker C:

I'm ready to hear these.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I think they're really, really solid.

Speaker A:

I think some people are going to be like, oh, it's like, okay.

Speaker A:

That's fine.

Speaker A:

Look it, that's my take.

Speaker A:

That's what it is.

Speaker A:

It's how it's going to go.

Speaker A:

We'll get to that.

Speaker A:

In the meantime, I want you to understand that you can send us an email, you can send us a text and you can call the show and that could be for a praise report.

Speaker A:

Tyler called in and he's just really thankful that he's been getting prayer doing a little bit better, moving things along.

Speaker A:

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Speaker A:

That helps him, it helps us.

Speaker A:

Cause we're praying for him.

Speaker A:

It glorifies the Lord.

Speaker A:

Maybe there's prayer requests.

Speaker A:

We prayed for several people in their health and they need that prayer and they need to know there's people for them and with them.

Speaker A:

Right, exactly.

Speaker A:

You could call in for that as well.

Speaker A:

Maybe you've got something you just want to share.

Speaker A:

Just like, hey, I just want to share this.

Speaker A:

Okay, cool.

Speaker A:

Maybe you have an answer to Bible trivia.

Speaker A:

Let's see if you have an answer to this.

Speaker A:

Is the word Zion mentioned in the Old Testament, the New Testament?

Speaker A:

Neither or both?

Speaker A:

Is the word Zion mentioned in the Old Testament, the New Testament?

Speaker A:

Neither or both?

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Additionally, you can send an email davidemustincrease.org is the word Zion in the Old Testament, the New Testament?

Speaker A:

Neither or both.

Speaker A:

So it's one of four.

Speaker A:

By the way, for those who do not know or are not that familiar with the word Zion, that is technically an area in Jerusalem known as the City of David.

Speaker A:

Just so you can know.

Speaker A:

It's the City of David.

Speaker A:

So when you see people saying, oh, Zion, Zion, Zion, ultimately that is the City of David, just so you can know.

Speaker A:

All right, there we go.

Speaker A:

I'm just making sure everybody understands.

Speaker A:

Alrighty.

Speaker A:

There you go.

Speaker A:

We have that opportunity.

Speaker A:

Zion, Zion, Z, I, O, N.

Speaker A:

In the meantime, you know what we're doing?

Speaker A:

We're going to do our DNA.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because we do.

Speaker A:

That's why.

Speaker A:

So let's do our DNA.

Speaker A:

D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.

Speaker A:

I just don't know how to say it any other way.

Speaker A:

If you spend time with God every day, you will have a better life.

Speaker A:

I'm not talking people are like, well, we're talking about financially, are we talking about physically talking about spiritually, talking about emotionally talking about mentally talking about, you know, friendship, wise Fellowship wise.

Speaker A:

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker A:

To every possible, possible thing you might bring together.

Speaker A:

Spending time with God makes it better to everything you encounter.

Speaker A:

So draw closer to the Lord daily.

Speaker A:

You know, he doesn't need it.

Speaker A:

He can live completely independent of us, but he wants it and we need it.

Speaker A:

So draw closer to the Lord daily.

Speaker A:

D and never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

Jesus in John 1:1:2 is called the Word of God.

Speaker A:

Both of them start off in John 1 and Genesis 1.

Speaker A:

In the beginning.

Speaker A:

In the beginning.

Speaker A:

In fact, in John's first letter, in the beginning, it's very clear who he's talking about and what's going on here.

Speaker A:

And it's very clear that Jesus is the word of God.

Speaker A:

He is actually both the logos and the rhema.

Speaker A:

But that's a whole separate issue for a separate debate another time.

Speaker A:

Bottom line is simply this.

Speaker A:

Never be ashamed of what Jesus has to say.

Speaker A:

He knows what he's talking about.

Speaker A:

Get it?

Speaker A:

Oh, good, good.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

There you go.

Speaker A:

Oh, okay.

Speaker A:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily.

Speaker A:

And never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

A.

Speaker A:

Always be ready.

Speaker C:

To serve.

Speaker A:

You're ready.

Speaker A:

Unlike the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker A:

You are ready.

Speaker A:

You are ready.

Speaker A:

You are ready to do.

Speaker A:

You are ready to go.

Speaker A:

It might be for nothing.

Speaker A:

That doesn't matter.

Speaker A:

See, to be ready does not mean that you're always doing something.

Speaker A:

It means that you're mindful.

Speaker A:

And that's what we're talking about.

Speaker A:

Being mindful of the Lord.

Speaker A:

Being mindful that he may want to use you.

Speaker A:

Maybe he just wants you to look at somebody and smile because that smile means somebody cares.

Speaker A:

A text, an email, a phone call, a letter.

Speaker A:

Maybe he just wants you to pray for somebody that he brings into your universe.

Speaker A:

Usually, God doesn't bring people into your universe for nothing.

Speaker A:

Just being ready to respond to your king.

Speaker A:

Here am I, Lord.

Speaker A:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily.

Speaker A:

And never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

A Always be ready to serve.

Speaker A:

Got it?

Speaker A:

Okay, cool.

Speaker A:

All right, folks, so your trivia question.

Speaker A:

I think it's actually just a marvelous question because of all the responses we're getting.

Speaker A:

Is Zion mentioned in the Old Testament, the New Testament?

Speaker A:

Neither or both?

Speaker A:

That is the question.

Speaker A:

You have that opportunity.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

And then additionally, you can send an email, davidemustincrease.org but we are gonna do something a little different because yesterday's event is pretty big and It's a part of our kind of culture, so to speak.

Speaker A:

So to speak.

Speaker A:

Maybe a part of our society.

Speaker A:

And so we want to deal a little bit with the super bowl from the Jewish Christian point of view.

Speaker A:

So let's get into Jake's take, my friend.

Speaker A:

The floor is initially yours to respond to on the Super Bowl.

Speaker A:

You want to do that again?

Speaker A:

Do that again.

Speaker A:

Do that again.

Speaker A:

Do it again.

Speaker C:

Okay, that sound was for the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Eagles won, 40 to 22.

Speaker C:

It was not as close as that score, though.

Speaker A:

I know.

Speaker A:

That's really.

Speaker A:

That's pretty.

Speaker A:

That's pretty lame right there.

Speaker A:

Is it?

Speaker A:

Because it's like, oh, it was a decent game.

Speaker A:

No, it wasn't.

Speaker C:

Anyway, yeah, if you didn't watch the game, you look at it, you're like, oh, was it close?

Speaker C:

And then the Eagles maybe scored late to pull away.

Speaker C:

No, it was close to that.

Speaker C:

It was over by halftime.

Speaker A:

Yeah, it was.

Speaker A:

It was that, basically.

Speaker A:

All right, so anything particular that you notice?

Speaker A:

Because I'm going to give a Top five winners, top five losers in.

Speaker A:

In my estimation.

Speaker A:

Now, that doesn't mean it's the right estimation for everybody else.

Speaker A:

And I'm telling everybody, you don't have to share mine.

Speaker A:

I'm just gonna share with you mine.

Speaker A:

But do you have anything in particular do you wanna pull out or just like.

Speaker A:

Nope, let's see what happens.

Speaker C:

Oh, let's see your list.

Speaker C:

Your five pros, five cons, right?

Speaker A:

Here we go.

Speaker A:

All right, now, I'm gonna do this very carefully.

Speaker A:

Obviously, the losers are gonna be the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker A:

That's gonna be one of the Louvers.

Speaker A:

Although Patrick Mahome on his Wrist had Psalm 121, verse 1 through 2.

Speaker A:

Where does my help come from?

Speaker A:

My eyes look unto the hills.

Speaker A:

My help comes from the Lord.

Speaker A:

So that was a win, I think, in that sense.

Speaker A:

But then they lost.

Speaker A:

So let's just be honest.

Speaker A:

Kansas City Chiefs, they did lose.

Speaker A:

Second big loser.

Speaker A:

Ready?

Speaker A:

Nike commercials.

Speaker A:

Pathetic.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

Woke, ridiculous, dumb and stupid.

Speaker A:

Wait, I'm not done.

Speaker A:

Third loser.

Speaker A:

The NFL's women's tag league thing there, whatever.

Speaker A:

It was like their little football league thing, that was from the NFL.

Speaker A:

They're trying to stay woke.

Speaker A:

And dei, it was a total waste of time.

Speaker A:

It was terrible.

Speaker A:

Even my wife was like, what is that?

Speaker A:

What is that?

Speaker A:

Hold on, hold on, hold on.

Speaker A:

The referee's first big call.

Speaker A:

Oh, come on.

Speaker C:

I know exactly what he's talking about.

Speaker A:

I mean, you gotta be kidding.

Speaker A:

You gotta be kidding.

Speaker A:

You're looking at it going, no, no, that's.

Speaker A:

You just fed into the conspiracies of the universe.

Speaker A:

Great job, guys.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker C:

When that first call happened, I was like, okay, buckle up, here we go.

Speaker C:

But then the Eagles were just beating him so bad, it didn't matter.

Speaker A:

It was irrelevant at that.

Speaker A:

At that.

Speaker A:

Okay, next thing.

Speaker A:

Last thing.

Speaker A:

Halftime.

Speaker A:

Biggest dud I've ever seen in my life.

Speaker A:

I have never seen a worse half.

Speaker A:

Now, I know you might have liked it.

Speaker A:

Noel likes dancing.

Speaker A:

I'm just looking at it going.

Speaker A:

I cannot understand one single word this person is saying, and I don't want to.

Speaker A:

So those are mine.

Speaker A:

I'm just going to stick with them, not everybody else's.

Speaker A:

Okay, I will tell you right now before anybody gets mad at me, I.

Speaker A:

And Noelle and I went to bed.

Speaker A:

We were watching it on delay so that she could get back and watch us.

Speaker A:

We were 40 minutes behind.

Speaker A:

I left without going through any of the fourth quarter at all because I was so bored.

Speaker A:

And it's on record and I'll look at it at home, but I went to bed before that.

Speaker A:

So that, to me means NFL loser game.

Speaker A:

Okay, five winners, right?

Speaker A:

Ready for these?

Speaker A:

You ready?

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Philadelphia Eagles, Right.

Speaker A:

Nobody can deny.

Speaker C:

Right, Right.

Speaker A:

They were totally good.

Speaker A:

President Donald Trump, first president to ever go to a Super bowl, did.

Speaker C:

This is surprising.

Speaker A:

I know.

Speaker A:

It's 659 years.

Speaker A:

Nobody's ever gone.

Speaker A:

And he met with the people that were hurting from both North Carolina and from the.

Speaker A:

From the New Orleans issue.

Speaker A:

The.

Speaker A:

The massacre that took place.

Speaker A:

That was.

Speaker C:

Yeah, New Year's.

Speaker A:

That was pretty classy.

Speaker A:

So I like that.

Speaker A:

That's so.

Speaker A:

One, Philadelphia Eagles number two, Donald Trump, number three.

Speaker A:

I'm going to say it.

Speaker A:

People are going to get really mad.

Speaker A:

Tom Brady commercial.

Speaker A:

But he was a robot.

Speaker A:

I thought that was great.

Speaker C:

They did get a laugh out of me.

Speaker A:

Open his arm and they put the batteries in.

Speaker C:

That was good.

Speaker C:

It looked real, too.

Speaker C:

It was actually pretty well done.

Speaker A:

Did a really good job.

Speaker A:

Number four.

Speaker A:

And I think one of the big winners that the viewers had very little swifty stuff to deal with.

Speaker A:

That's a win.

Speaker A:

That's not a loss.

Speaker A:

That's a win.

Speaker A:

And then the fifth winner overall is all of us who got to eat lots of really weird food because it had nothing to do with anything.

Speaker A:

And it was just a time where you can have an excuse to eat weird food.

Speaker A:

So I thought that part was really good.

Speaker A:

By the way, what did you have?

Speaker C:

I had wings.

Speaker C:

I had wings.

Speaker C:

And I had some pizza, too.

Speaker C:

So, yeah.

Speaker C:

Had some good food and wish the Game was closer, even though I was pulling for Philadelphia and they won.

Speaker C:

But it would have been more fun if the game was closed and came down to the end.

Speaker C:

But I actually didn't watch the halftime show.

Speaker C:

I had it muted in.

Speaker C:

I was just listening to music.

Speaker C:

Didn't watch the halftime.

Speaker A:

You missed absolutely nothing.

Speaker A:

I'm just telling you right now.

Speaker A:

It was terrible.

Speaker A:

Okay, now and then I'll just wind it down.

Speaker A:

So we had.

Speaker A:

I had.

Speaker A:

We had also wings.

Speaker A:

We had chili.

Speaker A:

We had sweet chili wings from Wingstop, plus a couple other brands like the Honey and barbecue and so on and so forth.

Speaker A:

So that part was pretty good.

Speaker A:

Plus we had.

Speaker A:

I had a big fat chocolate cookie.

Speaker A:

Really, like chocolate marshmallowy cut with chips in it, cookie.

Speaker A:

So that was really good.

Speaker C:

I didn't have a recess, but after I ate wings and pizza, I had a ice cream sandwich.

Speaker A:

That's pretty good right there.

Speaker A:

Okay, so that's our take on the soup.

Speaker A:

I understand that people can have a different take.

Speaker A:

We don't have any disrespect for that at all.

Speaker C:

And I will say, I hope.

Speaker C:

I can't remember if they did last year, but they actually started somewhat at a normal time.

Speaker C:

It was around 6 o'clock.

Speaker C:

I'm glad they didn't start at like 8pm so they delay it over to midnight because.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, I agree.

Speaker A:

In fact, I didn't even turn it on to about 5:25.

Speaker A:

So I was watching cartoons anyhow.

Speaker A:

Well, I have to keep my brain sharp.

Speaker A:

That's why I do that by watching cartoons.

Speaker A:

All right, anyway, so that was the Super Bowl.

Speaker A:

It's done.

Speaker A:

We're done with that.

Speaker A:

Everybody didn't take a break on that.

Speaker A:

I am going to answer the trivia question.

Speaker A:

We are going to take our break, and then we all get back into the teaching.

Speaker A:

We did want to do that.

Speaker A:

And for those that are offended by my take, I remind you that 1 Corinthians 13 says, Love is not easily offended.

Speaker A:

Okay, cool.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

We do have somebody.

Speaker A:

Are they going to answer the trivia question?

Speaker A:

I'll give them a chance.

Speaker A:

And if not, they're probably just giving a take and they're welcome to.

Speaker A:

We don't mind.

Speaker A:

It's fun, you know, if you want to do that.

Speaker A:

Do they want to give a answer to trivia or just a take on the Super Bowl?

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker C:

Curtis called just in time to answer the trivia.

Speaker A:

All right, send them through.

Speaker A:

Send them all through.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker D:

Hello.

Speaker D:

Hi, Curtis, my brother.

Speaker A:

Hi, Curtis.

Speaker A:

How are you, bro.

Speaker D:

Man, I'm fine.

Speaker D:

I was enjoying the whole Jake's Tank deal.

Speaker D:

And I was gonna tell you, man, it was a first for me.

Speaker D:

I've never made it before, but last night I made a great big skillet of goulash for the Super Bowl.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker A:

How was it?

Speaker D:

Oh, it was awesome, man.

Speaker D:

That some garlic toast?

Speaker D:

Yeah, I went to bed pretty stuffed.

Speaker A:

Oh, good for you, man.

Speaker A:

That is awesome.

Speaker A:

That is so.

Speaker A:

I'm so happy for you.

Speaker A:

That's just cool.

Speaker A:

That's just awesome.

Speaker A:

I love that.

Speaker A:

I love that.

Speaker A:

I love something when people do weird things.

Speaker A:

Like, you know, there's really no reason to do it.

Speaker A:

But then again, there's really not a reason not to do it.

Speaker A:

Let's do it, you know?

Speaker D:

Exactly.

Speaker D:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

All right, my brother, let me set you up on the Triv question, which I feel confident, but I will get you there one way or another.

Speaker A:

Is the word Zion in the Old Testament, New Testament?

Speaker A:

Neither or both.

Speaker D:

It's actually in both, I believe, David.

Speaker A:

That is correct, Amanda.

Speaker A:

Sir.

Speaker A:

That is right.

Speaker A:

Hebrews:

Speaker A:

But that will suffice to say it's in both the Old and the New Testament.

Speaker A:

Excellent Job, brother.

Speaker D:

Thank you, my friend.

Speaker D:

Always enjoy, you guys.

Speaker A:

All right, brother.

Speaker A:

Love you in the Lord, man.

Speaker A:

Great job.

Speaker D:

Love you too, David.

Speaker D:

Have a blessed day, my brother.

Speaker D:

You and Jacob both.

Speaker A:

Okay, take care.

Speaker A:

Bye.

Speaker A:

Bye.

Speaker A:

Bye.

Speaker A:

All right, we'll take our break and then we'll come back.

Speaker A:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Short break, then we'll come back.

Speaker A:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker B:

What is the David Spoon Experience?

Speaker A:

I cannot wait, though.

Speaker A:

I have to do this particular sound.

Speaker A:

We might interrupt while I'm doing the teaching, but I gotta do the sound because it is time for Bible Baloney Beat Down.

Speaker A:

Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello.

Speaker C:

It's now time for David Spoon's Bible Baloney Beatdown.

Speaker C:

Bible Baloney Beatdown.

Speaker A:

I'll knock your brains out if you had any.

Speaker A:

I can't believe I'm allowed to do that.

Speaker A:

I love that.

Speaker A:

Anyhow, Bible melody deep down, has to do with the Kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

So there are people that go, well, you know, in scripture, there's so many contradictions.

Speaker A:

Like, what about when Jesus said, if you're for me, then you're not against me.

Speaker A:

If you're against me, you're not for me.

Speaker A:

And they kind of Mix it all up and so on and so forth.

Speaker A:

Let me just help out and just kind of set the record straight, keeping it simple.

Speaker A:

There are two.

Speaker A:

Now watch what I'm going to.

Speaker A:

I'm going to show you.

Speaker A:

There are two.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

Watch.

Speaker A:

Somewhere between one and three.

Speaker A:

There are two.

Speaker A:

Here you go.

Speaker A:

One more time.

Speaker A:

There are two kingdoms.

Speaker A:

I'm going to blow your mind when I say this.

Speaker A:

There is the kingdom of God, right?

Speaker A:

Everybody would agree.

Speaker A:

Okay, got it.

Speaker A:

Seek first the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

And then there is any other attempted kingdom.

Speaker A:

There is the kingdom of God and then there's any other attempted kingdom, the kingdom of darkness, the kingdom of men.

Speaker A:

You know, it doesn't matter what it is.

Speaker A:

There's the kingdom of God and all the other ones, okay?

Speaker A:

And they're all just wrapped up in the one thing.

Speaker A:

There's the kingdom of God and the kingdoms that are not the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

That's all we got.

Speaker A:

That's all it is.

Speaker A:

Luke chapter 9, verse 49 through 50.

Speaker A:

John responded, Master, we saw someone driving out demons in your name.

Speaker A:

And we tried to stop him because he does not follow us.

Speaker A:

Verse 50.

Speaker A:

Don't stop him.

Speaker A:

Jesus told him, because whoever is not against you is for you.

Speaker A:

Keeping this in context, the person is not opposed.

Speaker A:

This is very important.

Speaker A:

The person is not opposed.

Speaker A:

But for the kingdom of God, he's not neutral.

Speaker A:

He's a kingdom advancer.

Speaker A:

He's somebody that advancing the kingdom, casting out demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

And John is like, well, he's not one of us.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

That's a whole separate sermon, a whole separate issue which I'm sure your pastor has taught on many times.

Speaker A:

And that is the last thing that you need are a whole bunch of more people just like you or just like me.

Speaker A:

We need people to be like Jesus and they don't need to follow us.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

They need to follow Jesus.

Speaker A:

And I don't want to have, I don't want to reproduce a thousand me's.

Speaker A:

I want people reproducing being Jesus because I'm not going to do anything.

Speaker A:

But people who are more like Jesus, they make a difference.

Speaker A:

And in context, this person was advancing the kingdom by driving out demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

He's a kingdom advancer.

Speaker B:

The David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

On Christ, the solid rock I stand.

Speaker A:

Oh.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

We're already past the half mark, halfway mark.

Speaker A:

It's just like, it's hard to keep up with stuff.

Speaker A:

Ant Deb said something really cool, very, very cool about many players on both sides of the team, the Eagles and the Chiefs, the coaches and the players giving praise and glory and honor to God in the name of Christ.

Speaker A:

And it's just like, that's great.

Speaker A:

It's almost like it's okay to say praise Jesus again or some weird thing there.

Speaker A:

All right, anyhow, let's go into our next trivia question.

Speaker A:

You guys should be able to get this.

Speaker A:

This is a relatively easy kind of a layup, although I'm not trying to use sports metaphors.

Speaker A:

From the Psalms it says in Psalm 14:1 the fool has said in his heart there is no answer that is it love, justice, wisdom, or God?

Speaker A:

From the Psalms, Psalm 14:1, the fool has said in his heart there is no Is it love, justice, wisdom, or God?

Speaker A:

That's the question.

Speaker A:

If you think you know the answer.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

You can send an email davidemustincrease.org so from the Psalms, Psalm 14:1 the fool has said in his heart, there is no fill in the blank.

Speaker A:

Is it love, justice, wisdom, or God?

Speaker A:

Those are your questions to be answered.

Speaker A:

Your direct quote is going to come from Psalm 14:1 for those who are not aware of it.

Speaker A:

So that was a really good Jake's take.

Speaker A:

We give Jake a lot of credit for doing an excellent job.

Speaker A:

I do.

Speaker A:

I am going to ask everybody for prayer for my wife.

Speaker A:

I'm not sure if she's listening now or not.

Speaker A:

I hope she's taking a nap.

Speaker A:

She has the day off.

Speaker A:

But guess what?

Speaker A:

So Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, she's gonna work somewhere in the neighborhood in those five days, somewhere in the neighborhood of 65 to 70 hours because it's Valentine's Day.

Speaker A:

And this is her big, you know, she's a floral manager and this is her big thing.

Speaker A:

Now, remember, she did come out of the store where she took this.

Speaker A:

I'm bragging about him.

Speaker A:

She's awesome.

Speaker A:

So she did take this store that was doing 300 and 350,000 a year before she left the store.

Speaker A:

She got the store doing a million dollars a year in sales in flowers, which if you think about it, it's like, that's a lot.

Speaker A:

So now she's at another store building it up.

Speaker A:

And so what that means is that she's going to be really busy and I'm going to be really sad.

Speaker A:

So I'll be going to the gym on, let's see, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Speaker A:

Where's Dave going?

Speaker A:

The gym.

Speaker A:

Where's Dave going?

Speaker A:

The gym.

Speaker A:

I'm just telling you.

Speaker A:

I already told my kids and everything, so it just helps me out.

Speaker A:

So please be in prayer for Noel.

Speaker A:

I would appreciate it.

Speaker A:

Again, your trivia question from the Psalms.

Speaker A:

The fool has said in his heart there is no.

Speaker A:

Okay, somebody is on the line ready to answer that.

Speaker A:

Let's go ahead and send them on through.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker A:

This is Gary.

Speaker A:

Hi, Gary.

Speaker A:

How are you today?

Speaker A:

You doing okay today?

Speaker A:

Yeah, I'm doing all right.

Speaker A:

I am doing this.

Speaker A:

She doesn't start this work schedule till tomorrow, and it's the one week of the year.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you need to pray for her.

Speaker A:

Pray for me, too, that I don't lose my.

Speaker A:

There's only limited capacity up here, Gary.

Speaker A:

I'll pray for you and I'll pray for her.

Speaker A:

Thank you, brother.

Speaker A:

I appreciate that.

Speaker A:

All right, so we're gonna pray for you, but let's nail this down.

Speaker A:

And I know you know this from the Psalms 14:1.

Speaker A:

The fool has said in his heart there is no God.

Speaker A:

That is correct.

Speaker A:

You are right, sir.

Speaker A:

And actually it's in multiple places, but that is correct.

Speaker A:

Only a foolish person.

Speaker A:

And that actually, that word fool is actually different than the word fool that Jesus uses in Matthew, the Sermon on the Mount.

Speaker A:

But that's besides the point.

Speaker A:

So excellent job, my brother.

Speaker A:

Let me pray over you and ask the Lord to bring healing power and comfort and simplicity to your life.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

Okay, let's do it.

Speaker A:

Father, we come before you right now and I thank you for my brother Gary.

Speaker A:

I lift him up before you.

Speaker A:

He's my brother.

Speaker A:

He's your kid.

Speaker A:

He's my brother.

Speaker A:

We're blood relatives.

Speaker A:

You made us that way.

Speaker A:

And we appreciate it.

Speaker A:

We appreciate that we can pray for one another, care about one another, walk in that same zone of just looking to you for the solutions for our lives.

Speaker A:

And we are asking you to bring that healing power that Gary needs badly in his body.

Speaker A:

Body.

Speaker A:

He needs you to heal him from top to bottom and not just a little bit.

Speaker A:

And, Lord, all these things, they affect everything he does and everything he encounters.

Speaker A:

Certainly, we want to ask you to just simplify his life in that way.

Speaker A:

But we are asking you to bring the healing that only comes from you.

Speaker A:

You are able to.

Speaker A:

We ask you, we beseech you, Abba.

Speaker A:

You can do anything.

Speaker A:

Bring healing into Gary's body.

Speaker A:

That's what we pray.

Speaker A:

We ask you, and we pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Speaker A:

Amen and amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker E:

Thank you very much.

Speaker A:

And I'll be praying for the two of you.

Speaker A:

And God bless you.

Speaker A:

Thank you, brother.

Speaker A:

I appreciate you.

Speaker A:

Okay, thank you.

Speaker A:

Bye Bye.

Speaker A:

All right, let us go now.

Speaker A:

We will jump into the text.

Speaker A:

I know we're way over, so that's a one.

Speaker A:

You know how far over we are.

Speaker A:

We've already done an hour of the show.

Speaker A:

Oh, my goodness.

Speaker A:

All right, listen up.

Speaker A:

This is really good.

Speaker A:

And I want to get to this one part, so I hope I can get to it.

Speaker A:

So here we are in verse 17 of Genesis 14.

Speaker A:

As Abraham returned from his victory over a king, Chedolomer and his allies, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the valley of Sheva.

Speaker A:

That is the king's valley.

Speaker A:

Then Melchizedek, the king of Salem and a priest of God most High, brought him bread and wine.

Speaker A:

Melchizedek blessed Abraham with this blessing.

Speaker A:

Stop right there.

Speaker A:

Okay, so just so you guys can know, just kind of a quick recap.

Speaker A:

Remember we talked about this on last Monday, that Abraham, with his 318 family members, plus some of the people that he was connected to that were allies of him, they went and they attacked and they went after these kings, and they rescued Lot and they rescued Lot's possessions and everybody's possession.

Speaker A:

All the women and all the other captives.

Speaker A:

They helped everybody in the kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

That's awesome.

Speaker A:

They did a phenomenal job.

Speaker A:

And in that case, you could very much say everybody was a winner on the godly side of things, as much as we could say that.

Speaker A:

And this is a very close connection to 1st Samuel 30, which I mentioned, where it says, david recovered everything here, Abraham recovered everything.

Speaker A:

Same thing.

Speaker A:

So there's this recovery.

Speaker A:

You see it with Abraham.

Speaker A:

Now, don't you find it fascinating that these kind of terms are used for Abraham and for David?

Speaker A:

And then you go into Matthew 1 and you find out that the whole of the New Testament, new covenant starts off with Abraham and David.

Speaker A:

It's like, you know, there's this deep, deep, deep connection.

Speaker A:

Both of these guys were deep, deep, deep faith people.

Speaker A:

Both of these people recovered everything.

Speaker A:

So before you think it's lost and it can't be recovered, that's not true.

Speaker A:

And if the Lord decides not to bring a redemption on something, that's his call, but it's doable.

Speaker A:

That's not the question of whether it's doable or not.

Speaker A:

And these were two men who deeply had great faith in God.

Speaker A:

What's funny is the difference between these two guys that come out to meet him first.

Speaker A:

That comes out to meet him is the king of Sodom came out, okay, this is the king of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Speaker A:

We already know what's going to happen with Sodom and Gomorrah.

Speaker A:

I'm not giving you any kind of.

Speaker A:

I'm not hiding the news flash from you.

Speaker A:

You know what's coming, right?

Speaker A:

And so he comes out and this guy, this guy, I'm just saying this guy is not the greatest guy.

Speaker A:

And you're going to find out because Abraham's going to say, the king of Sodom's like, I want to bless you.

Speaker A:

And he's like going, no, you have to understand.

Speaker A:

So you've got two people that meet Abraham, Melchizedek, who's the king of Salem, and a priest of God Most High.

Speaker A:

And then the king of Sodom.

Speaker A:

And what he doesn't want is the blessing from the king of Sodom because he.

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

Do you know that not getting a blessing every time, you always want to get the blessing?

Speaker A:

No, not necessarily.

Speaker A:

It's one of the things that used to be said in the investment world.

Speaker A:

Not all money is good money.

Speaker A:

It's like, not all blessings are good blessings, especially if it comes from people who are, in fact, not great.

Speaker A:

And so their blessing means less or means nothing.

Speaker A:

On the flip side of that, you have Melchizedek.

Speaker A:

So the king of Sodom, Melchizedek, King of Salem, priest of God Most High.

Speaker A:

Look at that.

Speaker A:

He's got his own title, his own place of title.

Speaker A:

And remember Hebrews 7.

Speaker A:

Remember the Melchizedek chapter.

Speaker A:

This is who this is.

Speaker A:

This is who this is based on.

Speaker A:

And this is the connection to Melchizedek and to Jesus and to David and to Abraham and to you and to me.

Speaker A:

I will say this.

Speaker A:

I'm going to have to take a break on this because this other part is so much better.

Speaker A:

But listen, Melchizedek brought bread and wine.

Speaker A:

Now, I want you to understand something.

Speaker A:

This is the second reference to wine in the Bible.

Speaker A:

The first six references.

Speaker A:

Two of them are to Noah, when he got so drunk, like a skunk, he passed out.

Speaker A:

Two of them are to Lot, where his daughters got him so drunk as a skunk, he passed out.

Speaker A:

Not in this case.

Speaker A:

In this case, he just came as a blessing with wine.

Speaker A:

And you know, it's a blessing.

Speaker A:

It's a good thing.

Speaker A:

It shouldn't be taken advantage of, it shouldn't be abused.

Speaker A:

But in this case, it's a blessing because they just went through a tremendous amount of tough, tough time and they conquered and they're good.

Speaker A:

And the blessing comes initially from the high priest of God with bread and wine.

Speaker A:

There's nothing wrong with that and everything right with that as long as it's appreciated and used with wisdom.

Speaker A:

Do you understand that?

Speaker A:

All right, so what I am going to do, because this other part's a little more complex, is I'm going to.

Speaker A:

I'm actually going to do a break and then we'll see if we're going to do another break or not.

Speaker A:

But we're going to break real quickly, then we're going to come back and then we'll do another trivia question.

Speaker A:

So hang in there with me.

Speaker A:

You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Short break, we'll be back.

Speaker A:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker B:

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

That's Cowpunch sites, $57 a month.

Speaker A:

And that's no buny there.

Speaker A:

That's better.

Speaker A:

Cowpunchsites.com/dad, what is the David Spoon experience?

Speaker A:

Now if anybody gets offended at this, I apologize that you have no sense of humor.

Speaker A:

Okay, like that.

Speaker A:

That's a good line.

Speaker A:

Bomb.

Speaker A:

Bam.

Speaker A:

Alright, here's the first one.

Speaker A:

A pastor was leaving his area and was saying farewell to his congregation at the church door for the last time.

Speaker A:

He shook the Hand of an elderly lady.

Speaker A:

As she walked out, she said, your successor won't be as good as you.

Speaker A:

Well, nonsense, said the pastor in a flattered tone.

Speaker A:

No, really, said the old lady.

Speaker A:

I've been here under five different ministers, and each new one has been worse than the last.

Speaker A:

Ouch.

Speaker A:

Ouch.

Speaker A:

But this one, this is the one that's gonna offend people, which is irony, right?

Speaker A:

Because that's more offensive than this is.

Speaker A:

And this is just.

Speaker A:

And if you guys get offended at this, I, you know, take a.

Speaker A:

Take a week off the show.

Speaker A:

It seems there was a minister who had just all of his remaining teeth pulled and new dentures were being made.

Speaker A:

The first Sunday, he only preached 10 minutes.

Speaker A:

The second Sunday, he preached 20 minutes.

Speaker A:

But the third Sunday, he preached an hour and 25 minutes.

Speaker A:

When asked about this by some of the congregation, he responded this way.

Speaker A:

The first Sunday, my gums were so sore it hurt to talk.

Speaker A:

The second Sunday, my dentures were hurting a lot.

Speaker A:

The third Sunday, I accidentally grabbed my wife's dentures and I couldn't stop talking.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

There's Ka.

Speaker A:

Amen 770, the truth station here.

Speaker A:

Here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Here is your next trivia question.

Speaker A:

apostles and for Jesus, John:

Speaker A:

Which apostle acted as the treasurer for the group?

Speaker A:

Was it Thomas, Judas, Andrew, or John?

Speaker A:

Which apostle acted as the treasurer for the group?

Speaker A:

Thomas, Judas, Andrew, or John?

Speaker A:

Your reference is in John:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Additionally, you can send an email davidemustincrease.org okay, okay.

Speaker A:

All right, all right, all right, all right.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So we are gonna send you up to the website for the money scenario.

Speaker A:

We said this last week we're gonna do a better job.

Speaker A:

Dave's gonna do a better job at telling you how it goes.

Speaker A:

And here's how it goes.

Speaker A:

Without giving, without you giving, the ministry does not continue your giving.

Speaker A:

We are 100% giving driven.

Speaker A:

Donations are what keep this ministry going.

Speaker A:

We ask you to pray about it.

Speaker A:

We ask you to make sure that you are in a good spirit in the Lord.

Speaker A:

If you're going to give, we just think it's really important to do it with the right heart.

Speaker A:

Second Corinthians, 9, 6, 7.

Speaker A:

Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly.

Speaker A:

Whoever sows bountifully will reap bountifully.

Speaker A:

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion.

Speaker A:

For God loves a cheerful giver.

Speaker A:

So when you're giving into the kingdom of God, have the right heart, the right spirit, no matter where you're giving.

Speaker A:

We ask you to consider giving because we exist off the donations of our listeners.

Speaker A:

Check it out on the website plus a whole bunch of other stuff on the website@hemustincrease.org prayer request hemost.org praise report hemosincrease.org looking to give to this ministry hemostincrease.org confused by what's happening right now.

Speaker A:

He must increase.org hemustincrease.org that's what people are saying.

Speaker A:

What happened to you today Dave?

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

I worked out a lot over the weekend, I can tell you that.

Speaker A:

Trivia question.

Speaker A:

Which apostle acted as treasurer for the group?

Speaker A:

Was it Thomas, Judas, Andrew or John?

Speaker A:

Your reference point, John:

Speaker A:

Let's see.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

So it's a surgery tomorrow that she's actually being surgery about 2:30 but being admitted about 9:30.

Speaker A:

So let's lift up Pamela and Jeanette because that's her kid in prayer.

Speaker A:

Let's do that.

Speaker A:

Stretch your faith with mine.

Speaker A:

Father, we come before you right now and we lift up Pamela to you and we know, Lord, every one of us knows going into surgery is very uncomfortable.

Speaker A:

And so in that process, Lord, we are asking for there to be a protection of peace, a protection away from fear for Pamela and for Jeanette, that she would not be fearful for her daughter, but that Pamela would also be in comfort and stable.

Speaker A:

Lord, we ask you that everything would just be as smooth as can be, simple as can be.

Speaker A:

You've given us medicine as a gift.

Speaker A:

We pray that that exercising of that gift and that wisdom would be manifest and you would be with the doctors and make everything clear and that what we would hear regarding Pamela, what we'd hear from Jeanette is good news.

Speaker A:

That we might rejoice with Jeanette and Pamela and give praise and honor to you.

Speaker A:

Please help in this situation.

Speaker A:

We pray as we fully look unto you for our solutions we thank you and we pray this in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Amen and amen.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right, we do have somebody ready to answer trivia questions, so let's send them on through.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker E:

This is Deborah.

Speaker A:

Hi, Deborah.

Speaker A:

How are you?

Speaker E:

How are you doing?

Speaker A:

I'm doing wonderful.

Speaker A:

How are you doing?

Speaker E:

I'm doing great, even though God has slowed me down and messed up my back a little bit.

Speaker E:

But I'm so concerned about a couple of ladies and a young man who's about to go through a divorce, and he's so traumatized.

Speaker E:

But the two ladies, the one, her name is Sandy, she goes to church with me, and tomorrow they found a spot on her pancreas and she needs some serious prayer.

Speaker E:

And the other lady, she's just 55, and she's already had some strokes and she had another stroke during.

Speaker E:

Right after surgery.

Speaker E:

So I don't know if you want their names, but anyway, the world is so broken and.

Speaker E:

Pray for the world.

Speaker A:

It is, bro.

Speaker A:

You know, it's so funny that you said that especially that way.

Speaker A:

So my daughter, we had talked, you know, when she went through a lot of her procedure when we were going through it with my grandson, and she was like, dad, what is this?

Speaker A:

Why does this happen?

Speaker A:

And really, it's just tearful to have to do.

Speaker A:

But I had to explain, Julianne, this earth.

Speaker A:

This earth brought the people, we brought sin into it.

Speaker A:

And when we did that, we ruined the system.

Speaker A:

The system was ruined because we allowed sin to enter and it hurt people and it creates all these kind of disasters.

Speaker A:

But that's the greatest thing about the gospel is God has sent us the lifeboat and the lifeline through Jesus.

Speaker A:

And so it's so hard because you see the pain and you know it's there and you're not.

Speaker A:

You know, nobody's, you know, trying to fool anybody about it.

Speaker A:

But we also know that there is only one place of redemption, and that's where we look to, and that's where our help comes from.

Speaker A:

So I'm going to pray for both of these people.

Speaker A:

Is there anybody else you needed me to pray for?

Speaker E:

Just the two ladies that are undergoing health issue and the.

Speaker E:

And the broken marriage of a young man.

Speaker E:

Okay, that's wonderful.

Speaker E:

I appreciate it.

Speaker A:

All right, let's pray.

Speaker A:

Father, we come before you right now, and, Lord, there is nobody that can bring restoration like you, Chris.

Speaker A:

There's no.

Speaker A:

There's no redemption.

Speaker A:

There's no restoration.

Speaker A:

There's no healing that we can force.

Speaker A:

But you, Lord, by speaking, you Lord, by allowing can bring life where there is no life, health where there is no health, healing where there is no healing, and redemption where there seems to be none.

Speaker A:

So, Lord, we'll start with the broken marriage.

Speaker A:

Lord, we're asking you for this broken marriage situation to bring a depth of healing from all the people involved, a commitment to renewal, a commitment to re establishing, a commitment to finding life again, finding hope again.

Speaker A:

But Lord, we are asking that none of these people would fall from you, turn from you, or reject you in this process.

Speaker A:

That they would come to you, draw closer to you and lean upon you.

Speaker A:

And you would be their strength and you would be their hope.

Speaker A:

And that you would bring mercy, grace and healing where it's needed the most, in places we can't even see.

Speaker A:

But you do.

Speaker A:

And Lord, we lift up these two ladies to you and we are asking you, Lord, none of this is fun, not this part.

Speaker A:

And we are asking, because they're both in decline, that Lord God, you would just permit, you would grace, you would allow your redemptive power and restoration power to be in their lives, that you would heal them where none of us can.

Speaker A:

But you can.

Speaker A:

You can do all things.

Speaker A:

And we ask you to do this thing for these women and for the body and for the people of God.

Speaker A:

And give us yet another reason to cheer and another reason to weep and to cry together, but to rejoice together.

Speaker A:

Only you can do it.

Speaker A:

We ask you to do it in the name and authority of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker E:

Amen and amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Great, great, great, great requests.

Speaker A:

Great.

Speaker A:

I love that you bear that.

Speaker A:

You know what I love?

Speaker A:

I'm going to tell you right now that you bear that burden with them.

Speaker A:

That's the best.

Speaker A:

Because that.

Speaker E:

And that's something that.

Speaker E:

And a lady said it today, she says, you know, I take on people's sorrows and pain and suffering.

Speaker E:

And I have that too.

Speaker E:

It's just, I think hurt people.

Speaker E:

Understand hurt people.

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

I think that's good.

Speaker A:

That's just a great, great, great way to say it.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

Exactly right.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Did you want to take a shot at the trivia question?

Speaker E:

I'll certainly do that.

Speaker A:

Yes, I will.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I'll help you.

Speaker A:

I'll help you.

Speaker A:

The apostle that acted as the treasurer, was it Thomas, Judas, Andrew or John?

Speaker A:

Who's the last person?

Speaker E:

Poor Judas?

Speaker E:

Josh, if you want us to do over again.

Speaker E:

We don't get do over again.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I know, but man, the Fact that Jesus let him do that, it's like he did know who he was.

Speaker A:

Oh, my goodness.

Speaker A:

That is extending grace upon grace right there.

Speaker A:

Even giving him a shot at some redemption.

Speaker A:

Nope, didn't take it.

Speaker E:

I got a quick.

Speaker E:

I got a quick question for you.

Speaker E:

Do you think people that commit suicide go to heaven?

Speaker A:

I have a very unique take on that.

Speaker A:

I think you'll find it's as biblical as anybody else's, but I think it literally depends on the person.

Speaker A:

I know somebody that did take their lives, but had made a full change in their life, became a Christian.

Speaker A:

Everything out.

Speaker A:

The mental health issue was way past them.

Speaker A:

They couldn't get enough help in time.

Speaker A:

They did take their life.

Speaker A:

I absolutely believe that person is in heaven.

Speaker A:

There's just no doubt in my mind at all.

Speaker A:

So I do think it's per circumstance, per situation, it's not the way to do it.

Speaker A:

It's not the way that it should be approached.

Speaker A:

But does God have mercy?

Speaker A:

Well, if he's forgiving every sin, that doesn't mean he's forgiving every sin but one.

Speaker A:

So I just don't see it any other way as it's understood.

Speaker A:

The redemptive work of Christ.

Speaker A:

That's my take.

Speaker E:

Yeah.

Speaker E:

I think.

Speaker E:

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I am Debbie.

Speaker E:

My brother committed suicide.

Speaker E:

He was struggling with the loss of his wife, and he was angry at God, and you couldn't talk him down off of that.

Speaker E:

You know what I mean?

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker E:

So, yeah, it's tough.

Speaker E:

I.

Speaker E:

I pray.

Speaker E:

But as I say, David, you don't know what, in that split second before a decision made like that, what somebody is saying to God.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

You don't.

Speaker A:

You don't.

Speaker A:

It's very difficult for people to ascertain.

Speaker A:

So I think it does.

Speaker A:

I do think it comes down to an individualized scenario.

Speaker A:

And if God has reached them before, there's this, I don't know, maybe.

Speaker A:

I don't know if it's a confidence or a hope, one of those two, that it's very possible that God could reach them again.

Speaker A:

The answer is, the real answer is that none of us know.

Speaker A:

I mean, that's the truth.

Speaker A:

But there's nothing wrong with being in the hope department in regards to it.

Speaker E:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

Yeah, you're welcome.

Speaker E:

Thank you.

Speaker E:

And thank you for what you do.

Speaker E:

I appreciate it.

Speaker E:

You reach.

Speaker E:

You tickle a lot of ears and a lot of people hear you.

Speaker E:

And I think it changes things.

Speaker E:

Oh, I know it changes things.

Speaker A:

Thank you so much for saying that.

Speaker A:

That's Very kind.

Speaker E:

You're welcome.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

God bless you.

Speaker E:

Well, God bless you all.

Speaker A:

Bye bye.

Speaker E:

Bye bye.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Phenomenal call.

Speaker A:

All right, now I have got, what?

Speaker A:

I got six minutes left.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

I'm going to do my best on this.

Speaker A:

Just bear with me.

Speaker A:

Everybody smile.

Speaker A:

Verse 18.

Speaker A:

Then Melchizedek, the King of Salem and the priest of God Most High, brought him bread and wine.

Speaker A:

Melchizedek blessed Abraham with this blessing.

Speaker A:

Blessed be Abraham, by God Most High, Creator of heaven and Earth.

Speaker A:

And blessed be God Most High who.

Speaker A:

Who has helped you conquer your enemies.

Speaker A:

So I love that Melchizedek does this.

Speaker A:

And there's a couple things we're gonna get into.

Speaker A:

The tithe and the giving and the 10% next week.

Speaker A:

Not this week.

Speaker A:

But what I want you to catch out of this is that he brings bread, he blesses Abraham, and these guys are brothers in the kingdom, right?

Speaker A:

You know that, right?

Speaker A:

I mean, Abraham's very close to God, friend of God, Melchizedek, a priest of the Most High God.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Okay, cool.

Speaker A:

Got it.

Speaker A:

Got it.

Speaker A:

Okay, here it is.

Speaker A:

Melchizedek wants to celebrate with Abraham and express this level of appreciation.

Speaker A:

When someone is a blessing to you.

Speaker A:

Listen to what I said.

Speaker A:

When someone's a blessing, make sure you communicate your appreciation.

Speaker A:

What was just communicated to me, blesses me.

Speaker A:

Make sure you do that, too.

Speaker A:

Not for me, for other people.

Speaker A:

That's what I'm trying to kind of illustrate.

Speaker A:

Be that person that is in the forward process and let them know that there's an appreciation.

Speaker A:

So Melchizedek pronounces this.

Speaker A:

That's just a note that I wanted to make.

Speaker A:

He pronounces a blessing over Abraham.

Speaker A:

Now notice he says, blessed be Abraham by God Most High.

Speaker A:

So Melchizedek is also called a priest of the Most High, thereby connecting Abraham's relationship to the Lord God Almighty and Melchizedek's recognition of the same God.

Speaker A:

But it's the Lord God, the God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth.

Speaker A:

It's not some big bang theory.

Speaker A:

Nobody knows who shot the gun.

Speaker A:

Melchizedek pours this second blessing on him by acknowledging that God Most High helped Abraham conquer his enemies.

Speaker A:

Listen to me.

Speaker A:

You have spiritual enemies, you have demonic enemies you don't even see.

Speaker A:

But they're warring.

Speaker A:

And we are children and heirs of Abraham by faith.

Speaker A:

It says so in Galatians 3:7, Galatians 3:9, and Galatians 3:29.

Speaker A:

All three verses say that we are heirs of Abraham and heirs of Abraham's promise and connected To Abraham through faith.

Speaker A:

We need to recognize something in this blessing.

Speaker A:

We as children and heirs of Abraham, by faith need to recognize that God helps you and I conquer our enemies.

Speaker A:

And what many of us do.

Speaker A:

Oh, let me restate that.

Speaker A:

What many of us are supposed to do is recognize that, that God doesn't put you in these situations and let you just fight alone.

Speaker A:

And in fact, as much as Abraham could claim victory, he knows that victory came about because God was helping him.

Speaker A:

You have things that you struggle with.

Speaker A:

It could be fear, it could be doubt, it could be a person, it could be a situation, could be any of those things, all of those things.

Speaker A:

It could be the world, it could be your flesh.

Speaker A:

I'm not even caring.

Speaker A:

I'm telling you that God helps you and I conquer those who are opposed.

Speaker A:

Be it a circumstance, be it a spirit, be it a situation, be it a world spirit, it doesn't even matter.

Speaker A:

God helps you and I prevail.

Speaker A:

Now, does that mean that the prevailing looks the way that we think it should always look?

Speaker A:

No, I don't want to be super nice about this.

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

In fact, rarely if you ask me, does it look that way.

Speaker A:

But the Lord knows exactly what he's doing.

Speaker A:

And the enemies that you fight, and I will say this to you, and you're going to don't freak out on these things.

Speaker A:

These are kind of, I think, more cool things than freak out things sometimes our enemy is ourselves.

Speaker A:

And the Lord is going to help you and I fight against the part of us that's trying to take us down.

Speaker A:

Yeah, it's connected to the flesh and it's this.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, got it.

Speaker A:

But even to Jeremiah who said to the Lord, I cannot do that.

Speaker A:

I am a child.

Speaker A:

God said, do not say I am a child.

Speaker A:

God forbid him for speaking about himself in that way.

Speaker A:

That's one thing.

Speaker A:

If you self like more self humiliating and it's fun or it's funny.

Speaker A:

I do that a lot.

Speaker A:

I do a lot of that kind of stuff.

Speaker A:

But I don't mean it to the level of what God was talking to Jeremiah and he said to Jeremiah, don't say that.

Speaker A:

You can't say that because it would affect him and hurt him.

Speaker A:

Hey, God is fighting against the part of you, with you that's trying to take you out and down as well as the enemy, as well as the world, as well as every other enemy.

Speaker A:

And this fight, God is with you in you are never fighting alone.

Speaker A:

Ever.

Speaker A:

You fight with the Lord, he's there for you.

Speaker A:

And you have to know God doesn't lose, right?

Speaker A:

We lose when we disconnect.

Speaker A:

But God, he don't lose.

Speaker A:

Get it?

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right, folks.

Speaker A:

Wow, what a kind of different Monday show that was.

Speaker A:

But lots of fun it was.

Speaker A:

You have been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Then we'll come back, more insanity with Spoonanity.

Speaker A:

Talk to you then.

Speaker A:

Destroying everyone and everything he finds.

Speaker A:

He's the hungry giant.

Speaker B:

The views expressed on the preceding program were those of the speakers and not necessarily those of kaam, DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.
