Revelation should do more than satisfy curiosity about future events; it should transform the way believers live today. As Dr. Dave begins Revelation 12:12, he emphasizes that Christians can hold different perspectives about prophetic timing without allowing those differences to shake their faith or divide them. The kingdom of God carries both a present reality and a future fulfillment, making Revelation meaningful for now as well as later. Rather than becoming consumed with speculation, believers should remain anchored in what God has clearly revealed. The accompanying devotional from Deuteronomy reinforces that principle: secret things belong to the Lord. We are not responsible for predicting every outcome, fixing everyone, or understanding every detail. Our responsibility is to trust the God who already knows how everything will unfold.

Heaven’s rejoicing in Revelation 12 reveals a perspective considerably larger than our earthly viewpoint. The passage reaches beyond humanity and reminds us that God’s throne—not humanity or planet Earth—is the true center of everything. At the same time, Scripture issues a serious warning because the devil operates with great wrath upon the earth. That reality gives spiritual warfare immediate relevance rather than leaving it as abstract theology. Yet the book of Job demonstrates an equally important truth: Satan remains restricted by boundaries established by God. He may be active, rebellious, and hostile, but he has never escaped divine authority. Nothing occurring in the spiritual realm, human history, or our individual lives catches God unexpectedly. Christians therefore acknowledge the reality of evil without mistakenly treating Satan as though he possesses unlimited freedom or authority.

The enemy’s fury has an expiration date. Revelation explains that Satan acts with great wrath precisely because he knows his time is short, while Romans promises that God will crush Satan under the feet of His people. Even demons recognized Jesus’ authority and understood that an appointed time of judgment was coming. Their destiny cannot be renegotiated, delayed, or overturned. Dr. Dave brings that truth directly into everyday life: frightening headlines, confused governments, spiritual attacks, and difficult circumstances never cause God to say, “Uh-oh.” Even trials permitted in the lives of Job and Peter remained within God’s sovereignty, and God can use hardship to make His children more like Jesus. Believers can therefore face an unstable world without surrendering to fear. Satan may be furious, but he is still on a leash—and God is holding the leash.
