The David Spoon Experience 3-14-24 part 1
A) Briefly recapping Jude verse one. I just want everybody to be aware that Jude identifies himself as a servant of Jesus Christ, and not as his brother, even though he is his brother. There is no nepotism going on here. In the early establishment of the Kingdom of God. Additionally, Reminds us that we’re called and My God, and that we are kept by Jesus Christ.
B) Verse two begins with mercy, peace and love. And who doesn’t need more mercy in their lives, and who doesn’t need more peace, and who doesn’t need more love Jude praised that these would be multiplied to his readers, by the way, that includes you.
C) And here we go into what is considered the most intense and purposeful elements of this letter. As Jude put his time and energy into writing it, he makes it clear that he put every effort to write to us about salvation. But at the same time, he felt it necessary to urge us to earnestly contend for the faith once and for all delivered to the Saints.
D) This does not mean, as some erroneously claim, that he’s talking about physically. Contending for the faith that is. Not the weapons of our warfare. The weapons of our warfare are spiritual, not kernel. They are from God. And our weapon is the. Blood of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, the truth of the written word. And the grace that comes from God the father.
