11-25-24 part 2: Why Lifespans Matter: Lessons from Genesis 11
This episode of the David Spoon Experience delves into the genealogical journey from Shem to Abraham, highlighting the significant transition in human lifespan and divine purpose as it relates to the unfolding story of God's people. David Spoon explores the intriguing drop in ages at which patriarchs had children, linking it to God's judgment on humanity's rebellion. The discussion emphasizes how God's plan often involves using seemingly impossible circumstances, such as Sarah's barrenness, to showcase His miraculous power. Listeners are encouraged to see their own challenges as potential setups for divine intervention, affirming that nothing is impossible with God. With engaging anecdotes and insightful reflections, this episode aims to inspire faith and resilience in the face of life's trials.
David Spoon takes listeners on an enlightening exploration of Genesis 11, focusing on the genealogy from Shem to Abraham. This episode is marked by Spoon's engaging storytelling, infusing humor and personal anecdotes that resonate with the audience. The episode begins with a whimsical approach to what many might consider a dry subject—genealogy—transforming it into a captivating narrative about God’s redemptive plan for humanity. As Spoon navigates through the lineage, he highlights a startling trend: as generations progress, fathers are having children at younger ages, a shift that Spoon connects to God’s judgment on human lifespans following the flood. This critical observation sets the stage for a deeper reflection on the nature of life and divine purpose.
Spoon delves into the implications of these genealogical changes, emphasizing that they reflect humanity's ongoing relationship with God. He points out that the introduction of Abraham marks a significant pivot in biblical history, as God’s covenant with him is foundational for the faith of millions. Through heartfelt storytelling, he discusses the personal struggles faced by families in the biblical narrative, particularly focusing on the tragedy of Haran's early death. By drawing parallels to the challenges faced by modern believers, Spoon effectively illustrates that hardship is a universal experience, even among God's chosen. His message is clear: God’s grace is always at work, even amidst difficulties, reminding listeners that they are never alone in their trials.
The interactive format of the episode fosters a sense of community, as Spoon invites listeners to participate in trivia and share their thoughts. His easygoing demeanor makes complex theological concepts accessible, encouraging believers to engage actively with their faith. This episode is not just about recounting biblical history; it’s a call to recognize the ongoing significance of these stories in our lives today. Spoon’s blend of humor, faith-filled encouragement, and practical insights culminates in a powerful reminder of God's unyielding love and purpose, inviting listeners to draw closer to Him and embrace the journey of faith, no matter the challenges they face.

Transcript
And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
David Spoon:It's marvelous, monumental, most fascinating, massively mind bending Monday as we join our hearts and minds as one, drawing closer to the King of Kings and glorifying his name first.
David Spoon:Starting off in Genesis chapter 11, where actually picking it back up in verse 8, this is gonna be one of the weirdest teachings we do in Genesis, so you just kinda gotta deal with it.
David Spoon:Probably good that it's on a Monday.
David Spoon:We'll be talking about the genealogy from Shem to Abraham.
David Spoon:So remember Shem, Hem and Japheth of Noah.
David Spoon:This is the line of Shem from which Abraham comes.
David Spoon:Because most of this material deals with genealogy.
David Spoon:So we're gonna be covering just large portions of it today, focusing on just a couple of key points.
David Spoon:And that's one of the more interesting elements, is how the fathers that are named in this genealogy are having children at younger and younger ages.
David Spoon:Remember Genesis 6, 3?
David Spoon:We're going to cover that.
David Spoon:So when Genesis 11 gives us an understanding that people are having children sooner and they're dying sooner because the lifespan of mankind has been judged by God.
David Spoon:Ooh, you talk about lifespans and other things.
David Spoon:It's up to the Lord.
David Spoon:Finally, in verse 27, we're going to finally reach the family of Terah.
David Spoon:And this is significant because he's the father of Abraham, Nahor and Hiran.
David Spoon:The tragedy occurs as Hiran, who had a son named Lot, he dies while he's really young.
David Spoon:So Abraham and Nahor marry and now we have the introduction of Sarah.
David Spoon:So this gives us the first opportunity to witness the power of God as she is unable to have children.
David Spoon:The plan of God goes deeper than we often recognize because she can't have children.
David Spoon:Which is exactly where God is stepping in.
David Spoon:This is a major pivot and God's engagement with humanity and it involves you and me because we're offsprings of Abraham.
Narrator:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
Narrator:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
Narrator:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
Narrator:The more he studied the Gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
Narrator:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
Narrator:He joined KAM and this radio program began.
Narrator:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Local, national and heavenly talk.
David Spoon:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
David Spoon:Lessons for surviving.
David Spoon:Sometimes you got to survive living.
David Spoon:That's Better than surviving, prevailing.
David Spoon:That's better than living.
David Spoon:Politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanity.
David Spoon:So much more.
David Spoon:So much more.
David Spoon:Now remember, it's not professional radio.
David Spoon:And just to prove it's not professional radio, we will check in with the Inspector General of professional radio, our very own Jam and Jacob.
David Spoon:Jam and Jacob is David Spoon.
David Spoon:The David Spoon experience or any part of the show.
David Spoon:Professional radio.
Jammin' Jacob:No, it is not.
David Spoon:David, do you do it?
David Spoon:The Inspector General just told you.
David Spoon:There is nothing else that can be said.
David Spoon:Let it be known the Inspector General has said.
David Spoon:Nope.
Jammin' Jacob:I thought you were going to say Inspector Gadget.
David Spoon:I was going to say that.
David Spoon:That's funny.
David Spoon:But that didn't really seem like a leadership position, so I had to go to Inspector General.
David Spoon:But good call on that one, by the way.
Jammin' Jacob:Inspector General sounds more important, right?
David Spoon:Yeah, it does sound really important.
David Spoon:You don't know why?
David Spoon:Just probably because of the word general.
David Spoon:I mean, I would think because Inspector.
David Spoon:It's like Inspector Clouseau.
David Spoon:I don't know, it could be anything.
David Spoon:All right, anyhow, here's the bottom line to all that stuff, okay?
David Spoon:We want you to be able to reach out.
David Spoon:We want you to be able to get touch in the sense of having connection spiritually for Bible believing, born again Christians.
David Spoon:I don't care if you're Baptist or Pentecostal.
David Spoon:I don't care if you're Church of Christ.
David Spoon:I don't care what your background is.
David Spoon:It doesn't matter.
David Spoon:I don't care.
David Spoon:Here's what I care about.
David Spoon:You love Jesus?
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:Hey, here's what I care about.
David Spoon:Do you not know Jesus?
David Spoon:I'd love to introduce you.
David Spoon:You'll find it amazing.
David Spoon:So this is what we want to do.
David Spoon:We want to encourage one another, bless one another, strengthen one another.
David Spoon:That's what we want to do.
David Spoon:So you can reach out to us.
David Spoon:You can email.
David Spoon:Email is always good.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:It does work.
David Spoon:I know it's funny, but it works.
David Spoon:David.
David Spoon:Must increase.org that's davidmustincrease.org you can text.
David Spoon:I think that's kind of fun.
David Spoon:You get to text to show it's kind of cool.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:By the way, everybody can thank Eric because Eric's the one that brought texting to the show.
David Spoon:You can also call.
David Spoon:It's a telephone dive.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:And you're allowed to use it.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob is like knowing that your spiritual radio family has your back.
Jammin' Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jammin' Jacob:Happy Monday.
David Spoon:Happy Monday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:We're off to a roaring, roaring start.
David Spoon:Great for sharing a call in.
David Spoon:First time she called in.
David Spoon:So very fun.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Kind of start.
Jammin' Jacob:Yes.
Jammin' Jacob:Great start to the show.
David Spoon:Great way to get going.
David Spoon:We do want to remind everybody prayer is available, obviously, we'll pray for you.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because prayer works.
David Spoon:And let me just make this statement.
David Spoon:This will just really solidify it.
David Spoon:If prayer didn't work, you're not saved.
David Spoon:Pretty much.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:I think that pretty much solves it for everybody.
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Got it.
David Spoon:All right, Got it.
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:So prayer works.
David Spoon:We believe in that also.
David Spoon:Praise reports are.
David Spoon:And you think, why?
David Spoon:I mean, it's like a testimony, a person.
David Spoon:I don't care what you call it.
David Spoon:Give glory to the Lord.
David Spoon:Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
David Spoon:That's the key.
David Spoon:Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
David Spoon:Tell people, ah, the Lord did this for me.
David Spoon:You don't even have.
David Spoon:I think when people think about witnessing, they think that there's like a bullhorn in one hand, maybe a sandwich sign on you, and maybe you've got rocks or something that you're going to throw up.
David Spoon:It's like, that's not witnessing.
David Spoon:Just simply saying, the Lord, help me with that.
David Spoon:That's witnessing.
David Spoon:That's all it takes for one person to go, what?
David Spoon:That is all it takes.
David Spoon:So I'm just really.
David Spoon:I encourage that.
David Spoon:And so you bless each other, you encourage each other.
David Spoon:Praise reports and prayer requests and maybe scriptures or things that are going on.
David Spoon:You just want to share.
David Spoon:Maybe you have an answer to this trivia question.
David Spoon:So Sharon just answered this.
David Spoon:Let's see who's going to answer this next one.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Joseph.
David Spoon:Ooh, we're into Joseph now.
David Spoon:Joseph sent portions from his table to his brothers who had come to Egypt.
David Spoon:But one of his brothers got five times as much as the other brothers.
David Spoon:Which brother Was that?
David Spoon:Genesis 43, 34.
David Spoon:Listen to the question.
David Spoon:Joseph sent portions from his table to his brothers who had come to Egypt.
David Spoon:Which of his brothers got five times more than any of the other brothers?
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Genesis 43, 34.
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer, here's what you do.
David Spoon:You can call 972-44-507.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:You just have to put up with it because I'm just chomping at the bit to talk about this.
David Spoon:We're going to jump right in as you are deciding whether to respond to that trivia question or not.
David Spoon:We're going to jump right into Jake's take because I just can't resist.
David Spoon:All right, my friend, Jake's take means that Jake takes the take and takes would take where he wants to take it.
David Spoon:What do we got for Jake's take on the take today?
Jammin' Jacob:Well, let's start out with the crazy game that happened yesterday between the Cowboys and Washington Commanders.
Jammin' Jacob:David, we, we both talked about this game a little bit for the show.
Jammin' Jacob:What a wild ending to that game.
Jammin' Jacob:The Cowboys did, did win.
Jammin' Jacob:They, they got, they got the win.
Jammin' Jacob:Surprisingly, I did not think they would, but they got, they finally got a win, ending a losing streak.
Jammin' Jacob:And what a wild ending to that game.
David Spoon:That was a, an amazing.
David Spoon:I just gotta say.
David Spoon:So I'm watching that game right now.
David Spoon:You got the Detroit game going on at the same time.
David Spoon:So first of all, props to Sergio, okay, Who's a big Dallas fan.
David Spoon:Yes, props to Sergio.
David Spoon:He gets the call.
David Spoon:Now listen, I'm watching it in the first quarter.
David Spoon:I'm not even kidding you.
David Spoon:So I'm watching it and the announcer says, wow, it was three to nothing in the first quarter.
David Spoon:And the announcer goes, wow, this is really, if you're an offensive person who likes a lot of offense, this is not your, really your cup of tea because it was three to nothing after the first quarter.
David Spoon:And the other announcer goes, if you're a person who's into defense, this is also not your cup of tea.
David Spoon:I think that guy just insulted both teams on the air.
David Spoon:I thought, that is so mean.
David Spoon:But the last quarter was highly entertaining.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:It was like 30 some odd points scored in the last quarter.
David Spoon:Is that right?
Jammin' Jacob:Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
Jammin' Jacob:Is it.
Jammin' Jacob:It was a low scoring game.
Jammin' Jacob:And then the fourth quarter came.
Jammin' Jacob:And on the last half of the fourth quarter, it felt like like 10 touchdowns were scored just in the last 10 minutes.
David Spoon:Well, congratulations to the Dallas Cowboys for winning.
David Spoon:So we'll give them that.
Jammin' Jacob:Yes.
David Spoon:And then what, what happened with the, what happened with that weather team, that Motor City team?
David Spoon:What happened with those guys?
Jammin' Jacob:Well, not, not as crazy, but the, the Lions keep their winning streak going, moving to 10 wins and only one loss, beating the Indianapolis Colts.
Jammin' Jacob:That one wasn't as as eventful as the Cowboys and Washington game, but the lines took care of business and they're now 10 and 1.
Jammin' Jacob:David, it's best record in the league.
Jammin' Jacob:That's, that's something.
David Spoon:That is something.
David Spoon:Now, we will be talking about this later, but it is my understanding that both Dallas and Detroit play again on Thursday.
David Spoon:Is that correct?
Jammin' Jacob:Yes, they play it.
Jammin' Jacob:They're playing their yearly Thanksgiving game Thursday, so that'll definitely be a couple of games to talk about.
Jammin' Jacob:Not, not great matchups, but they are playing their yearly Thanksgiving game.
David Spoon:Yeah, well, it could be one that I get to smile at during the game, so I'm pretty happy about that.
David Spoon:All right, Excellent job.
David Spoon:Very, very good.
David Spoon:And we'll pick it up later in the week.
David Spoon:Back to the trivia question.
David Spoon:We're going to go it's pretty simple.
David Spoon:Joseph, when he had his brothers at the table, when he was kind of in disguise, Joseph had sent portions of food to his brothers, but one brother got five times as much as the other brothers.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Who Was that?
David Spoon: Genesis: David Spoon:In the meantime, we are going to do our DNA.
David Spoon:Now, I want to get these both taken care of.
David Spoon:D and I'll just tell you something that happened to me Saturday again.
David Spoon:D this draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:I know that we struggle sometimes to spend time with the Lord, okay?
David Spoon:But I am just becoming more convinced that no matter what time of the day you do it in, when you spend time with the Lord either in prayer, which is you communing and sharing with the Lord.
David Spoon:And if you're sensitive, the Lord is also communing with you or in His Word, which is where he's speaking to you through His Word.
David Spoon:Also, if you're sensitive, you can be speaking to him while you're reading His Word.
David Spoon:If you do that, it makes a change in your day.
David Spoon:And one of the witnesses that the Lord has really been dropping in my heart is whenever I delay to spend time with the Lord and then I spend time with the Lord, I notice a substantial difference in my day.
David Spoon:And that's because I'm communing with him who created me to commune with Him.
David Spoon:And for that time, the world doesn't have the same power of voice.
David Spoon:The world doesn't have the same wind and waves.
David Spoon:And it's just things are just right now.
David Spoon:I'm not saying that I walk in that 24 7, so don't misunderstand.
David Spoon:I'm just Saying when I spend this time with the Lord, it's like I am better.
David Spoon:I'm either feeling better, thinking better, doing better, or all of those.
David Spoon:Because that's what happens when we spend time with the Lord.
David Spoon:It changes us.
David Spoon:So D of our DNA is draw closer to the Lord daily N Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Never.
David Spoon:You can see what's happening in other countries, by the way.
David Spoon:Christians are being persecuted.
David Spoon:I know they don't get persecuted in America quite the same, but they are being persecuted worldwide, and we need to stand firm in our faith.
David Spoon:Right now, we consider persecution as somebody says something nasty on a media post.
David Spoon:Other people who are suffering persecution are being executed.
David Spoon:A little bit of a difference, right?
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Never.
David Spoon:Never.
David Spoon:Jesus said, if you're ashamed of me, in my words, I'll be ashamed of you when I come in.
David Spoon:Glory.
David Spoon:Oh my goodness.
David Spoon:Luke 9:26.
David Spoon:D draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:If the Lord needed to use you right now, you ready?
David Spoon:That's all I'm asking.
David Spoon:Are you ready?
David Spoon:Because we have to be ready, always ready.
David Spoon:And in fact, the Gospels make it clear to always be ready.
David Spoon:And so do the Epistles, the Paulinian Epistles, and the General Epistles.
David Spoon:And in fact, so does Revelation.
David Spoon:Always be ready to serve the Lord.
David Spoon:To be used as a vehicle or as a vessel.
David Spoon:Even if it's as silly as a moment of prayer or a smile at somebody, it's not silly to God.
David Spoon:Let's always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:N Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:Okay, now, because of the content that I'm gonna be bringing in in the Genesis portion, I'm gonna stop here, give you the answer to the trivia question then, and we're going to come back because this Genesis portion is challenging not to teach, but a little bit to hear.
David Spoon:So here's the trivia question.
David Spoon:Joseph sent portions from his table to his brothers who had come to Egypt.
David Spoon:Which of his brothers got five times as much as the other brothers?
David Spoon: Genesis: David Spoon:And the answer is Benjamin Benny.
David Spoon:Ben man, the Benster.
David Spoon:Benny got five times as more as the other brothers.
David Spoon:That's your answer.
David Spoon:We'll take a short break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere you may be from a Baptist Background, A Pentecostal background, a non denominational background.
David Spoon:David Spoon has that too.
David Spoon:You may be from the Church of Christ Presbyterian Methodist Church of God or some other denomination, but if you're looking for a show that's Bible based, spirit led and a bit nutty, then give David a listen for a while.
David Spoon:If you like it, great.
David Spoon:If not, no worries.
David Spoon:The David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon experience?
David Spoon:That did not happen to you because you are a brilliant Christian or a non brilliant Christian, a growing Christian or an exceedingly mature Christian.
David Spoon:It happens because there's sin in the world and people choose sin over righteousness in many occasions.
David Spoon:And so there's this.
David Spoon:Oh, and if you think right now in your life, right this second of somebody who has been close to you and then has hurt you, somebody that's been maybe a best friend for years and years and years and then they just stop being your friend.
David Spoon:They just don't want to have anything to do with you.
David Spoon:Never even give you a reason why.
David Spoon:You're just like, what happened?
David Spoon:They're even speaking against you.
David Spoon:You're like, what happened?
David Spoon:I'm not going to get into the depth of my situation.
David Spoon:It's just like everybody else's.
David Spoon:I have this theory, this is not a biblical theory, so don't get weird on me.
David Spoon:But I always think that God lets each one of us handle as much as we can.
David Spoon:And for each one of us, that's about the most we can take.
David Spoon:Little different in each of the circumstances they manifest.
David Spoon:But everyone's is just as bad as everyone else's.
David Spoon:It just comes out, it's visible differently, but its effect is the same.
David Spoon:It hurts everyone to the max.
David Spoon:And then he's literally petitioning the Lord.
David Spoon:He's literally asking God.
David Spoon:He's in that next verse, verse 11 by this I know you are well pleased with me because my enemy does not triumph over me.
David Spoon:It's amazing that David says, please, please Lord, don't let my enemy triumph over me.
David Spoon:Don't let that happen.
David Spoon:Now in the context David is trying to protect Israel and the people.
David Spoon:But from a personalization point of view, or what we call the DAP Dynamic, dynamic Application principle, that this point of view, there's this personalization, we are looking to God to deliver us from Satan's evil plans.
David Spoon:So this enemy has a triumph over him.
David Spoon:This enemy, David is saying, I don't want him to triumph over me.
David Spoon:This is bad.
David Spoon:There's somebody close to me in our existence.
David Spoon:Even if it's a person, what we find out is behind the person is a spiritual force that's much darker and much worse.
David Spoon:And so from personalizing it and applying it, we are looking to God for deliverance from Satan and Satan's evil plans using people.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's KAAMN 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:We have another trivia question.
David Spoon:By the way, that Phil was really good.
David Spoon:I hope you guys heard that.
David Spoon:That's a good fill right there.
David Spoon:Here we go, here we go.
David Spoon:Here we go, Here we go.
David Spoon:Jonathan, friend of David.
David Spoon:Jonathan, son of Saul, had a son that was lame in his feet from the age of five years old.
David Spoon:What was the son's name?
David Spoon:2nd Samuel, chapter 4, verse 14.
David Spoon:Jonathan had a son that was lame in his feet from the age of five.
David Spoon:Jonathan was a friend of David.
David Spoon:He was the son of Saul, but he had a son that was lame in his feet from the age of five.
David Spoon:What was his name?
David Spoon:Second Samuel, chapter four, verse four.
David Spoon:I got to give Joanne and Cordelia credit on I don't know if it's voice recognition or not.
David Spoon:Was pretty funny.
David Spoon:That first answer was pretty funny.
David Spoon:All right, so if you think, you know, reach out to us, just one of those shows.
David Spoon:Just have a good time, relax, enjoy the fellowship and be encouraged.
David Spoon:Why, that's.
David Spoon:Sometimes it's good.
David Spoon:Sometimes that's exactly what you need.
David Spoon:We need deep teaching.
David Spoon:You do.
David Spoon:And sometimes you need light teaching.
David Spoon:Sometimes you need this, that, whatever.
David Spoon:Yeah, sometimes you know what you need a steak.
David Spoon:Sometimes you need a salad.
David Spoon:Sometimes you need a whataburger.
David Spoon:Just ask Al.
David Spoon:He'll tell you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or you can send an email.
David Spoon:David Org.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:I want to go into this text.
David Spoon:This is a little hard to hear.
David Spoon:I think people are going to be like, what do you mean it's hard to hear?
David Spoon:You'll understand when I go through this.
David Spoon:This is in Genesis 11.
David Spoon:Picking it up at verse 10.
David Spoon:It says this.
David Spoon:This is the history of Shem's family.
David Spoon:Now, why are we going down the line of Shem when you have Shem, Ham, and Japheth?
David Spoon:We're going specifically down this line mostly because we're now bringing Abraham into this.
David Spoon:And you need to Understand, in Genesis 1 through 11 has to do with the creation of the universe, the creation of mankind, Mankind's orders from the Lord, mankind's rebellion against the Lord, mankind's enemy involved in that.
David Spoon:The prophetic word that comes for mankind's redemption, the incredible depravity of humanity that spans into the earth, being washed away for a complete reboot.
David Spoon:Then following the genealogy of Noah in Shem, Ham, and Japheth, coming up to the point now where chapter 11 is introducing Terah and Abraham.
David Spoon:And then from chapter 12 to 50, it's all about this covenant that God made with Abraham.
David Spoon:So 1 through 11, take us to a point.
David Spoon:But then chapter 12, 50 in Genesis have a shift in the focus.
David Spoon:And what we find out, because we're New Testament people, is that we are connected to Abraham by our faith.
David Spoon:In fact, we are heirs of the promises that God gave to Abraham because of our faith.
David Spoon:That's powerful.
David Spoon:So now that shift is happening right here in the book.
David Spoon:And I want to point out something really important when we get to that.
David Spoon:But first, we do have somebody that is ready to answer the trivia question.
David Spoon:We're to give them that chance.
David Spoon:So let's do that.
David Spoon:Let's send them through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Caller:David, this is Fred.
David Spoon:Hello, Fred.
David Spoon:How are you, brother?
Caller:I'm doing fine, sir.
David Spoon:Awesome.
David Spoon:All right, you ready for this one?
Caller:I think so.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:I have a feeling you're going to be ready for it.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Jonathan, son of Saul, friend of David, had a son that was lame in his feet from the age of 5 years old.
David Spoon:What was his name?
Caller:Well, it is said that this man's or this child's mother was running from the enemy and she dropped him, and that's how he became lame.
Caller:But his name is Mephibosheth.
David Spoon:Mephibosheth is Coraxa.
David Spoon:So every once in a while, I think of this.
David Spoon:When I was a young, younger Christian, you know, you're going back 40 plus years.
David Spoon:When I heard this, and I heard this guy preach a whole sermon on Mephibosheth, and when he stopped and said, you and looked at everybody, you are Mephibosheth.
David Spoon:You are lame in your Mephibosheth.
Caller:Adam dropped us all.
David Spoon:Oh, my goodness.
David Spoon:And then we get brought into the king's table.
David Spoon:Oh, it's just like, oh, I'm loving all this stuff.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:How beautiful.
Caller:The comparison.
Caller:The comparison between the two is just awesome.
David Spoon:It is awesome.
David Spoon:Excellent, excellent, excellent job.
David Spoon:So how we doing.
David Spoon:You doing good, brother?
Caller:I'm doing fine.
Caller:I can't complain.
David Spoon:All right, brother.
David Spoon:I love you and the Lord.
Caller:All right, I hang up and listen.
David Spoon:All right, bro.
David Spoon:God bless you.
David Spoon:Bye bye, bye bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Great man, Fred.
David Spoon:All right, here you go.
David Spoon:So Shem picking up a verse 10.
David Spoon:Shem was 100 years old and his son Ar Phaxad.
David Spoon:Arphaxad.
David Spoon:I hate that name.
David Spoon:Arphaxad.
David Spoon:Sorry.
David Spoon:Was born.
David Spoon:And this happened about a couple years after the flood.
David Spoon:He gave birth to Ephaxhad, and then Shem lived another 500 years and had other sons and daughters.
David Spoon:Okay, and that's really how the rest of this chapter goes, and so on and so on.
David Spoon:But I want you to see something.
David Spoon:He was a hundred years old when he had this son.
David Spoon:Shem was.
David Spoon:But Arafat said he was 35 years old when he had his son.
David Spoon:Shelah was 30 years old when he had his son.
David Spoon:Eber was 34.
David Spoon:Reu was 32.
David Spoon:Siruk was 30.
David Spoon:Nahor was 29.
David Spoon:What is going on here?
David Spoon:It was like 100 years old.
David Spoon:With Noah, it was 500 years old.
David Spoon:Now we're down to 100 years old.
David Spoon:And now we're going lower and going down from the hundred to the thirties and to the thirties to the twenties.
David Spoon:What's going on?
David Spoon:I'll tell you what's going on.
David Spoon:Genesis, chapter six, verse three.
David Spoon:Then the Lord said, my spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh.
David Spoon:In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years.
David Spoon:What's happening is because of the rebellion of mankind, not just in the garden, but the heaping up of rebellion in Genesis 6, where God is going to do a full reset.
David Spoon:They're going so bad.
David Spoon:Going from bad, Adam and Eve bad, but it's getting much worse.
David Spoon:And God tells me, I'm going to wipe them out.
David Spoon:I'm going to keep Noah safe.
David Spoon:Shem Hem and Japheth are going to be the lines that everybody comes from.
David Spoon:But I'm cutting the numbers down.
David Spoon:You see, we were created to live a lot longer, but we perverted the creation.
David Spoon:The creation was sin.
David Spoon:And therefore the implementation of the judgment of God brings about that.
David Spoon: Lifespans are dropping from: David Spoon:Now, is that sin forgiven in a redemptive portion through Christ?
David Spoon:Could that apply?
David Spoon:Sure.
David Spoon:But it's not going to change the impact and the effect of the earthly journey, because it's being cut down, because the judgment of God coming forth.
David Spoon:I mean, is Adam going to be in heaven?
David Spoon:Of course he's going to be in heaven.
David Spoon:I mean, just come on.
David Spoon:But everybody is having children earlier and earlier and earlier, and they're dying earlier, earlier and earlier.
David Spoon:And the Lord doesn't ignore it.
David Spoon:See, he made that proclamation.
David Spoon:He's not going to ignore it.
David Spoon:And that's, wow, what are we gonna do?
David Spoon:Because all these lives are shrinking.
David Spoon:The whole of humanity is shrinking.
David Spoon:We need favor out of this.
David Spoon:Because without favor, it'll just keep going lower and it'll just be worse.
David Spoon:This is why Abraham is introduced here.
David Spoon:This is why the story goes to Terah and then from Terah to Abraham.
David Spoon:Because mankind has to receive the judgment that God declared.
David Spoon:But in the prophecies in Genesis, we find out that, hey, it's not just about this.
David Spoon:1,900, 800, 706, 543, 2, 100 years.
David Spoon:There's something else, something bigger, something greater.
David Spoon:And God, even though he's dropping this judgment, is going to manifest what that greater is.
David Spoon:Here's the lesson.
David Spoon:You want to get a great lesson out of Genesis 11.
David Spoon:The Lord is going to fulfill his justness, and his holiness must be answered to.
David Spoon:But even in the midst of that, there is this grace that God is giving that so far exceeds the foolishness of us on the planet.
David Spoon:And it's because he just doesn't give up on us.
David Spoon:If you're thinking God has given up on you, I have this little newspaper or this little paper in my hand.
David Spoon:Okay, hold on.
David Spoon:If you're thinking God has given up to you, up on you, I want you to listen this.
David Spoon:Listen to what I'm going to say.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Bad boy.
David Spoon:Bad boy.
David Spoon:Bad boy.
David Spoon:Wrong.
David Spoon:God has not given up on you, even though you might have done horrible things.
David Spoon:I don't know, like, I don't know the apostle Paul when he was Saul killing people in the church.
David Spoon:God has something so much greater.
David Spoon:That's the transition of Genesis 11.
David Spoon:Something greater is coming, and he's going to manifest it to his friend.
David Spoon:Oh, come on.
David Spoon:How good is that?
David Spoon:It's unbelievable.
David Spoon:It's phenomenal.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take a break here and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:Okay, like that.
David Spoon:That's good luck.
David Spoon:Bomb.
David Spoon:Bam.
David Spoon:All right, here's the first one.
David Spoon:A pastor was leaving his area and was saying farewell to his congregation at the church door for the last time.
David Spoon:He shook the hand of an elderly lady as she walked out.
David Spoon:She said, you, successor won't be as good as you.
David Spoon:Nonsense, said the pastor in a flattered tone.
David Spoon:No, really, said the old lady.
David Spoon:I've been here under five different ministers, and each new one has been worse than the last.
David Spoon:Ouch.
David Spoon:But this one, this is the one that's gonna offend people.
David Spoon:Which is irony, right?
David Spoon:Because that's more offensive than this is.
David Spoon:And this is just too.
David Spoon:And if you guys get offended at this, I, you know, take a Take a week off the show.
David Spoon:It seems there was a minister who had just all of his remaining teeth pulled and new dentures were being made.
David Spoon:The first Sunday, he only preached 10 minutes.
David Spoon:The second Sunday, he preached 20 minutes.
David Spoon:But the third Sunday, he preached an hour and 25 minutes.
David Spoon:When asked about this by some of the congregation, he responded this way.
David Spoon:The first Sunday, my gums were so sore it hurt to talk.
David Spoon:The second Sunday, my dentures were hurting a lot.
David Spoon:The third Sunday accidentally grabbed my wife's dentures and I couldn't stop talking welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Kaaman 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:You better get ready.
David Spoon:The rest of this is going to be lights out crazy.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:This is a tougher one going all the way to the book of Revelation and In fact Revelation 19:4.
David Spoon:What is the last thing that the 24 elders in Revelation are recorded as saying?
Narrator:Hmm.
David Spoon:Dave?
David Spoon:Challenging one.
David Spoon:What is the last thing that THE 24 elders in Revelation are recorded as SAYING?
David Spoon:Revelation, chapter 19, verse 4.
David Spoon:How's that for us?
David Spoon:Switcheroo.
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer, reach out to us.
David Spoon:You can call as soon as I find our phone number.
David Spoon:What is our phone number?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:David must increase.org, aha.
David Spoon:Nice job by the way, Joanne, on that one.
David Spoon:You and Cordelia.
David Spoon:What is the last thing the 24 elders in Revelation are recorded as saying?
David Spoon:Revelation chapter 19, verse 4.
David Spoon:In the meantime, I'm going to send you up to the website.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Blah, blah, blah blah blah.
David Spoon:Radio Rent is due on Wednesday at 3:00.
David Spoon:Guess what?
David Spoon:Radio Rent is due on Wednesday at 3:00.
David Spoon:If you're planning on giving in the next week, today, tomorrow or Wednesday would be really good.
David Spoon:That's all I'm telling you.
David Spoon:Leaving it that simple for you, not trying to manipulate, just letting people know where things are at.
David Spoon:Which I think is pretty important to do.
David Spoon:Check out that plus on our website.
David Spoon:There's a couple of new things on there.
David Spoon:If you haven't seen them, I would highly encourage you to check them out.
David Spoon:They're fascinating, interesting.
David Spoon:At the minimum, check it out on the website.
David Spoon:He must increase.org prayer request.
David Spoon:He must increase.org praise report hemostincrease.org looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org he must increase.org that's such an.
David Spoon:It's such an innocent time.
David Spoon:It's so like, isn't that nice?
David Spoon:Okay, all right, let's see.
David Spoon:I got that.
David Spoon:Took care of that.
David Spoon:Took care of that.
David Spoon:We do have somebody ready to answer the trivia question and we want to give them that opportunity.
David Spoon:So let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock knock.
David Spoon:This is David, who am I talking to?
Caller:David, this is Robo in San Diego.
David Spoon:Hey, I saw your text the other day but it said the media piece didn't come through.
David Spoon:I was going to reach out to you on the way home.
David Spoon:I got a text from you the other day but it didn't said not able to process it.
David Spoon:So I'm glad you called.
Caller:I was in the middle of switching cell phone providers so that might be why.
David Spoon:Oh, that would make a lot of sense.
David Spoon:That really would.
David Spoon:So actually I've done the exact same thing, just to let you know.
David Spoon:Isn't that funny?
Caller:How you doing?
Caller:I mean, I know, I mean I didn't even randomly cold called you so I know I'm being thrown into the bowels of a trivia question which is totally fine, but how's everything on your end, Dave?
David Spoon:Everything's great.
David Spoon:We're gonna, we've got a three day week this week because we got the Thanksgiving coming on Thursday and Friday.
David Spoon:We have a couple of traditions that most people don't know about in Thanksgiving where we go to.
David Spoon:No, what Noel and I do, we do Thanksgiving without the kids.
David Spoon:No, I'm not kidding.
David Spoon:Christmas is where we have everybody together for everything.
David Spoon:But we decided about 15 years ago that because it was really hard for all the kids to get around, we would do our Thanksgiving together and that we just planned the whole day together.
David Spoon:So it's kind of like a super holiday for her and I.
David Spoon:And then we talk to the kids via phone via, you know, like, you know the different apps that we talk to them all.
Caller:You gotta keep the stress out for one day, right?
David Spoon:I need one day where it's like, you know what, I'm gonna watch do my devotions, watch football and sit there and be a bump on the log.
Caller:We don't do the same thing, but it's very similar our Christmases.
Caller:I mean we're literally flying to about five or six different places.
Caller:With family of all walks of life, Thanksgiving is always at our house.
Caller:It has been for the last three years since I've gotten married.
Caller:And we love it and we keep about 12 people so it's really small and intimate even though the kids are there.
Caller:And so it's a lot less busy, which we like that too.
David Spoon:That's nice.
David Spoon:That's good.
David Spoon:That's a good plan.
David Spoon:How are you doing?
David Spoon:How are you feeling?
David Spoon:Because I definitely want to be praying for your health.
David Spoon:What's going on with the health?
David Spoon:Health?
Caller:Honestly, for the most part, not Totally.
Caller:But the skin stuff right now is kind of in a neutral position, so I am taking that as a blessing.
Caller:The things that I've been dealing with have most.
David Spoon:That you disappeared, and I'm.
Caller:Very thankful for that.
David Spoon:Still.
Caller:The listeners can pray for employment.
Caller:I am going on about six months of unemployment at the moment and really looking for just that next step.
Caller:Whatever God has, you know, that door for me, I'm willing to walk through it as long as it's by his design.
David Spoon:Got it.
David Spoon:Perfect.
David Spoon:All right, well, I know.
David Spoon:I know that we're going to pray for you, and I know that God's going to answer the prayer.
David Spoon:So let's set up the trivia first to see if we can get you through this.
David Spoon:Unless you think you know it.
David Spoon:Do you think you know it?
Caller:Even heard the trivia question.
Caller:That's why I said I'm kind of going into the trivia.
David Spoon:All right, this is funny because you got a tough one.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:So I'm going to help you.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:The question is, what's the last thing the 24 elders in Revelation are recorded as saying?
David Spoon:Okay, that's a tough one.
David Spoon:Okay, so the first one is.
David Spoon:There's two words.
David Spoon:The first one is, what do you say at the end of the prayer?
David Spoon:The very last thing you say?
Caller:Well, that would be amen.
David Spoon:That'd be amen.
David Spoon:So that is half right.
David Spoon:So we're halfway there.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, now.
David Spoon:All right, now, if somebody knocked on your door and handed you a check for $100,000, what would be your excited expression?
David Spoon:That might start with an H.
David Spoon:Hallelujah.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Amend now.
David Spoon:You got them all finished.
Caller:That wasn't that tough.
David Spoon:Let's see that.
David Spoon:See how I got you there?
David Spoon:All right, that's good.
Caller:I appreciate that.
Caller:I am thankful not just for you, but for the help you gave me with that trivia question this week.
Caller:David.
David Spoon:You got it, brother.
David Spoon:Let me pray over you.
David Spoon:It's time for you to get a job.
David Spoon:Okay.
Caller:Thank you.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now and everybody who's listening to my voice, every one of us, we have a small amount of faith, Lord, and we take that faith and we put it together collectively.
David Spoon:And we pray for Noah right now in the name of Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:That, Lord God, you would open up a door that no man can close.
David Spoon:You would open up an opportunity that would surprise him, that would bless him, that would encourage him, that would challenge him, but a place where he can honor you, manifest his gift, live in a way that what he's doing is part of who he's supposed to be.
David Spoon:And you would open that wide, and there'd be no question it comes from you.
David Spoon:And you would bring that to him by your graciousness, by your generosity, that you would lift him up from the discouragement of not being able to do anything, and then that he would be able to recognize that even a long pause has a purpose, and you have a purpose for him.
David Spoon:And he is going to touch his hands to that.
David Spoon:We pray.
David Spoon:We believe we receive that which we offer up before you, Lord, with great confidence in your goodness.
David Spoon:We pray it in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:And Amen.
Caller:Yeah, we most certainly do.
Caller:I appreciate that, Dave, and I appreciate you and all of your listeners.
Caller:I'm so glad experience was able to leave San Diego and bless another city and, you know, whatever God's hand is for you to be able to expand that.
Caller:I mean, I pray for that all the time, and I'm very appreciative of you.
David Spoon:I appreciate you, too, brother.
David Spoon:You were a big help for me getting things launched.
David Spoon:And I always feel like there's credit coming to you in the end when all of the gifts are handed out and all the rewards are handed out.
David Spoon:So I appreciate that.
Caller:Hey, on your way home today, if you have a chance, give me a ring.
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:I will do my best.
Caller:Love you, brother.
David Spoon:All right, God bless you, brother.
Caller:Bye.
David Spoon:All right, bye.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Wasn't that fun?
David Spoon:So you're thinking.
David Spoon:Well, I know.
David Spoon:No, see, this is the thing.
David Spoon:See, this is what I want you to get.
David Spoon:This is the thing.
David Spoon:When we're hanging out with Jesus and we're in heaven, it's.
David Spoon:This won't be quite as much teaching because we'll know him as he is known, but there will be a lot of fellowship.
David Spoon:That's so good.
David Spoon:It's so good.
David Spoon:All right, let me just do this little bit.
David Spoon:I'm just going to do it for about two or three minutes, and then we'll exit and we'll come in for the rest of this.
David Spoon:This is very important.
David Spoon:So we are in Genesis, chapter 11.
David Spoon:We're at verse 27.
David Spoon:It says, this is the history of Terah's family.
David Spoon:Terah was the father of Abraham, Nahor, and Haran.
David Spoon:Haran had a son named lot.
David Spoon:But verse 28, while Haran was still young, he died in the Ur of the Chaldeans, the place of his birth.
David Spoon:He was survived by Terah, his father.
David Spoon:I just want you to get that.
David Spoon:That's tragedy.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:We already know that there's tragedy that's taken place.
David Spoon:Mankind has blown it.
David Spoon:God has reduced the age for mankind to live.
David Spoon:We're going to see him pull something out of it, which is always what's great and when things are hurt.
David Spoon:But this is a hard thing, a hard time.
David Spoon:And it wasn't like Abraham was chosen because he's got everything going.
David Spoon:He's really hip.
David Spoon:He's got everything on target.
David Spoon:He says everything perfect, does everything perfect.
David Spoon:His family is perfect.
David Spoon:That is incorrect.
David Spoon:The family of Terah knows pain.
David Spoon:And it's important to understand that.
David Spoon:That the favor of God that comes upon you and I, it does not mean there will not be trials.
David Spoon:It does not mean there will not be pain.
David Spoon:It does not mean there will not be challenges.
David Spoon:And anybody who preaches that doesn't know God from a brown paper bag.
David Spoon:Sorry.
David Spoon:Perfect will of God does not mean everything's smooth.
David Spoon:Jesus was in the perfect will of God.
David Spoon:He was crucified.
David Spoon:The disciples were in the perfect will of God.
David Spoon:A storm came.
David Spoon:And so while they're going and making their move, Lot's dad dies young.
David Spoon:And I just want you to think about that.
David Spoon:When a parent dies young, it's very painful.
David Spoon:Another scripture says he was survived by Terah, his father.
David Spoon:And meanwhile, Abraham married Sarai and his brother Nahor married Milcah.
David Spoon:So we're going to come into this portion here and end with it when we come back, because this is the setup from God.
David Spoon:And what I just said to Noah is applicable to every person.
David Spoon:Sometimes there is this, what appears to be a difficult or a silence or a wilderness.
David Spoon:But you must remember that God took Israel out of the bondage, through the wilderness, into the promised land.
David Spoon:But between the bondage and the promise was a wilderness, because that's what it take.
David Spoon:That's what it took to prepare for the entrance.
David Spoon:That is highly applicable to you and I.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:We'll take a short break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:This is Acts, chapter 7, verse 58.
David Spoon:The stone.
David Spoon:The clothes of the.
David Spoon:Of the people who stoned, Stephen.
David Spoon:They were laid at the feet of who.
David Spoon:Whose feet were they laid at?
David Spoon:Was it Timothy, Saul, or Titus?
David Spoon:Timothy, Saul, Art, or Titus?
David Spoon:Get that?
David Spoon:There it is.
David Spoon:That's your Triv question.
David Spoon:See, who's.
David Spoon:Who's.
David Spoon:The clothes of those who stone, Stephen, who were laid at whose feet?
David Spoon:Timothy, Saul or Titus?
David Spoon:If you think you know.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:You can send an email david must increase.org I want to say I appreciate the person that texted from San Diego.
David Spoon:Good job.
David Spoon:Shows that you are right in range.
David Spoon:They're experiencing fine trials that are bringing them closer to the or fiery trials, bringing them closer to the Lord.
David Spoon:We want to be praying for everybody, right?
David Spoon:Praying for the audience in San Diego, praying for the audience in Dallas.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because you're brothers and sisters and you're going to spend eternity together.
David Spoon:And in this process of the trial, God is going to teach you his graciousness.
David Spoon:Isn't that cool?
David Spoon:All right, somebody's ready to answer trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
David Spoon:Hi, David.
David Spoon:This is Lady J.
David Spoon:Hello.
David Spoon:How are you?
Caller:I'm awesome.
David Spoon:I just want you to know I am a new radio listener, and I.
Caller:Love your radio station, everything you talk about.
David Spoon:So you have a new fan.
David Spoon:Oh, thank you so much.
David Spoon:That's so sweet of you to say.
David Spoon:I so appreciate that.
David Spoon:I'm not gonna be able to send you $20 for it, but I do appreciate it.
David Spoon:Just teasing.
David Spoon:All right, here we go.
David Spoon:Here's your triv question.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:The clothes of those who stoned Stephen were late at whose feet?
David Spoon:Timothy, Saul or Titus?
David Spoon:Saul.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Amanda.
David Spoon:You are right.
David Spoon:And he was just like, yeah, that's right.
David Spoon:I'm really in charge of all this stuff.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Bring it over here.
David Spoon:Bring it over here.
David Spoon:And then on the road to Damascus, the Lord said, knock, knock.
David Spoon:It was just like that changed everything, didn't it?
David Spoon:It's like when somebody blinds you and then knocks you on the ground.
David Spoon:It's time to listen.
David Spoon:That's what it is.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:10 stars out of 10.
David Spoon:Excellent work.
Caller:Thank you.
David Spoon:I appreciate that.
David Spoon:Thank you for calling.
David Spoon:And what a blessing.
Caller:Yes, sir.
Caller:You have a blessed weekend.
David Spoon:You, too.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
Caller:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:You're here when I need you the most.
David Spoon:When I need you the most.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k double amen.
David Spoon:770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:One more trivia question.
David Spoon:You guys can do it.
David Spoon:It's a good one.
David Spoon:You should know this.
David Spoon:How about that?
David Spoon:That's kind of a mean way to say that.
David Spoon:You should know this.
David Spoon:When Moses received the ten commandments, he was up on the mountain for 40 days.
David Spoon:What mountain?
David Spoon: Exodus: David Spoon:When Moses received the ten commandments, he was up the mountain on the mountain for 40 days.
David Spoon:What mountain?
David Spoon:That mountain did he go to?
David Spoon:Huh?
David Spoon:That's the question.
David Spoon:Moses just did Ten Commandments.
David Spoon:He was up on the mountain 40 days.
David Spoon:What mountain?
David Spoon:If you think you know.
David Spoon:Nice job, Al.
David Spoon:If you know.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:so the question is very simple, right?
David Spoon:When Moses received the Ten Commandments, he was up on the mountain for 40 days.
David Spoon:What mountain?
David Spoon: Exodus: David Spoon:You can reach out to us real quick.
David Spoon:Reminder.
David Spoon:I'm not returning texts today until after 4:30 because I have two things that I got to take care of, plus I got to see if I can squeeze in a couple of calls.
David Spoon:So that ought to be fun.
David Spoon:So I'm just telling you what's going on there, okay?
David Spoon:So everybody can be aware.
David Spoon:All right?
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:You got the trivia question.
David Spoon:And we do have somebody.
David Spoon:We are going to tighten it a little faster because we got to get going.
David Spoon:So we do have somebody ready to answer the trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
David Spoon:Hi, David.
Caller:You are talking to Deborah.
David Spoon:Hi, Deborah.
David Spoon:How are you?
David Spoon:I am doing good, thank you.
David Spoon:How are you?
David Spoon:I am doing good.
David Spoon:I am doing good.
David Spoon:It is great to hear your voice.
David Spoon:I strongly believe you will get this.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:I just have great faith.
David Spoon:When Moses received the Ten Commandments, he was up on the mountain for 40 days.
David Spoon:What mountain was it?
Caller:Mount Sinai.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Emmanuel.
David Spoon:Nice job.
David Spoon:Very, very nice, Deborah.
David Spoon:Very, very nice.
David Spoon:Awesome.
Caller:Hey, I was wondering if you could pray for a friend of mine.
David Spoon:Absolutely.
David Spoon:Who is it?
David Spoon:His name is Bobby and he has lung cancer.
Caller:And I'm hoping for a healing.
David Spoon:Okay, let's pray right now and ask the Lord to help.
Caller:Thank you.
David Spoon:Let's do it.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:We just thank you for Deborah.
David Spoon:Lord, we lift up Bobby to you.
David Spoon:He's got lung cancer and there is nothing good in that, Lord.
David Spoon:And he needs a miracle.
David Spoon:He needs something to happen from you.
David Spoon:He doesn't just need just to feel good in his body.
David Spoon:He needs to be healed in his body.
David Spoon:We need the power of the Holy Spirit to change what's taking place there.
David Spoon:So we're asking you to send that gift in the name of Jesus, that the power of the spirit of God, your breath, your power, that you would pour that into Bobby's body.
David Spoon:Lord, let it be you inside of him that changes him and heals him and does so to the glory and honor of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
David Spoon:We are asking for a miracle because that's what we need.
David Spoon:We need a miracle.
David Spoon:And you are the God of miracles.
David Spoon:So pour your healing power into him through the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, because you're so gracious, we pray this in Jesus name, Amen and amen.
Caller:Amen.
Caller:Thank you so much, David.
Caller:I appreciate it and I hope you all have a good rest of your day.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:God bless you.
Caller:God bless.
David Spoon:Bye bye, Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, we only got about a couple of minutes left.
David Spoon:I just want to do this one little bit because we're actually finishing off almost the end of chapter 11.
David Spoon:But I want you to catch this up.
David Spoon:And I'm going to say this, and you're probably not going to like it, but I still love you.
David Spoon:So you have to think of that.
David Spoon:Here's what it says.
David Spoon:He was survived by Tereah's father.
David Spoon:Meanwhile, Abraham married Sarai and his brother married Milco, daughter of the brother, daughter of their brother Haran.
David Spoon:Milcah had a sister named Iscah.
David Spoon:Now, Sarah, verse 30, was not able to have any children.
David Spoon:Stop.
David Spoon:That's the entire verse 30.
David Spoon:Now, Sarah was not able to have any children.
David Spoon:That's verse 30.
David Spoon:Here's what you got to know.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:This is a setup by God.
David Spoon:Now when I say set up, I want to say it a little differently because that's not the word I'm really trying to use.
David Spoon:God is coordinating this.
David Spoon:Sarah could not have any children.
David Spoon:This is a key component to what's coming between 12 and 50 and between all the things that God's going to do.
David Spoon:And just so you can know, Abraham, David, Jesus in Matthew 1:1, this is a lead up.
David Spoon:And the whole lead up is this gal from which everything is going to come.
David Spoon:She can't have children.
David Spoon:And that's the plan the Lord brought into the play.
David Spoon:No kids.
David Spoon:This woman cannot have children.
David Spoon:And like, perfect, we'll use her.
David Spoon:Don't you see?
David Spoon:God allows these type of circumstances purposely so he can manifest his power, show his miracle power and change what everybody thought would be, could be, should be, which is supposed to be.
David Spoon:God doesn't care.
David Spoon:And you might be in a situation, it's like it's as bad as well.
David Spoon:So Sarah can't have children.
David Spoon:There's no answer to this.
David Spoon:There's no way this can be done wrong.
David Spoon:Nothing is impossible with God.
David Spoon:And perhaps the Lord has set this up in your life simply so that a miracle must be manifested, so that God is testifying.
David Spoon:This sets the rest of the Bible.
David Spoon:If he would do it that way, I think he would do it in our individual lives.
David Spoon:She can't have children.
David Spoon:Perfect.
David Spoon:We'll use her.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:That's pretty cool stuff.
David Spoon:All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:22 and a half hour break.
David Spoon:Then we'll come back, More insanity with Spoonanity.
