Finding Clarity: The Power of Acknowledging Every Victory

Join Dr. David Spoon as he explores the profound truth that every victory in life, no matter how small, should be acknowledged and celebrated. He emphasizes the importance of turning to God’s word and testimony during challenging times, reminding listeners that without this guidance, they may struggle to find hope and direction. Throughout the show, David shares personal anecdotes and insights, including an engaging conversation with listeners about the significance of names and the power of prayer. The episode also features a lively trivia segment, where David tests the audience's knowledge of biblical events. With a mix of heartfelt encouragement and humor, this episode aims to uplift and inspire, reminding everyone of the strength found in faith and community.

The essence of faith and community resonates deeply in Dr. David Spoon's latest show, which beautifully intertwines personal stories with biblical wisdom. Beginning with a comforting reminder that divine help is always at hand, David sets an uplifting tone that invites listeners to reflect on their own lives. He introduces the concept of EVA—'Every Victory Acknowledged'—which serves as a poignant reminder that recognizing even the smallest accomplishments can enhance one's spiritual walk. This principle encourages listeners to foster a mindset of gratitude, thereby transforming mundane moments into opportunities for worship and connection with God.

David elaborates on the biblical account of David and Goliath, using it as a framework to discuss the challenges faced by believers today. He emphasizes that while we may encounter giants in our lives, it is essential to remember that faith can empower us to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles. Through engaging anecdotes, he illustrates how simple actions can provide clarity and insight, akin to the unexpected solution of wearing sunglasses to improve vision. This relatable narrative not only entertains but also imparts a deeper understanding of how God often works through our everyday choices to reveal His purpose.

As the episode progresses, the importance of community support is highlighted through a heartfelt conversation with Joy Ann, who shares her prayer requests and reflections. This interaction showcases the beauty of collective faith as David prays for her situation, emphasizing that believers should stand together in times of difficulty. The episode concludes with a strong message about the reality of spiritual warfare, encouraging listeners to remain steadfast in their faith and to acknowledge the victories that God provides, both big and small. Dr. Spoon's thoughtful approach ensures that listeners leave with a renewed sense of purpose and community.

David Spoon:

And now for something completely different.

David Spoon:

Here's what's coming up this hour on Today's Experience.

David Spoon:

It's fantastic, phenomenal, always fun, and usually somewhat fascinating.

David Spoon:

Friday, as we head into the weekend, not being afraid, even if the earth gives way or the mountains fall into the seas, because our help comes from the Lord.

David Spoon:

First up is going to be slightly different form of our Dr.

David Spoon:

Dave's devotional Diamonds of the day.

David Spoon:

I'm going to talk to you about a strategy at some point throughout this show that we should be preparing for.

David Spoon:

I'm going to discuss Eva, not the Hollywood person, Eva.

David Spoon:

I'm going to discuss Eva with you.

David Spoon:

The strategy that you and I can implement immediately.

David Spoon:

It's not like a diet where you need to prepare our minds.

David Spoon:

It's a biblical truth.

David Spoon:

We're talking about it, and then we probably just need to do it.

David Spoon:

Our next lesson will deal with a passage from Nehemiah that we have covered before.

David Spoon:

However, we need these reminders to keep our spirits steady and to fill our hearts with wisdom, grace, mercy and kindness.

David Spoon:

In this teaching, though, there's a catch.

David Spoon:

It will point out that when we find relief from the Lord, sometimes we walk right back into the foolishness.

David Spoon:

It's kind of like a what have you done before me lately?

David Spoon:

Rebuke.

David Spoon:

Ooh.

David Spoon:

And finally, our last lesson.

David Spoon:

As we head into the weekend, we'll focus on understanding just how much the Lord knows.

David Spoon:

And when I say how much the Lord knows, I mean how much he really knows about you personally.

David Spoon:

How much does Jesus know about you?

David Spoon:

How much does he understand you?

David Spoon:

How much does he connect with you from his end of things?

David Spoon:

Let's ensure we understand this clearly.

David Spoon:

Jesus knows exactly who you are, what you think, what you say, what you do and how you feel.

David Spoon:

That's why he's the most amazing Messiah.

David Spoon:

Thank you, Lord God Almighty, for the gift of Jesus Christ.

David Spoon:

Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Local, national and heavenly talk.

David Spoon:

Here's what else we're looking at during the show.

David Spoon:

Lessons for surviving, living and prevailing nice politics, entertainment and current events, Personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities and life so much more now, remember, it's not professional radio.

David Spoon:

And just to make sure, I want to double check with Jam and Jacob as the Baron of Professional Radio.

David Spoon:

Wow, that's a nice title.

David Spoon:

The Baron of Professional Radio.

David Spoon:

He's a baron.

David Spoon:

Let's just ask him.

David Spoon:

Jamie Jacob, is the David Spoon Experience professional radio?

Jamie Jacob:

No, it is not, David.

David Spoon:

There you go.

David Spoon:

Do you like that Baron?

David Spoon:

That's a good one.

Jamie Jacob:

I'm just impressed how you come up with these new titles for me.

David Spoon:

Every other day we try to go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on them just in case anybody's trying to follow the pattern.

David Spoon:

So it's just what we're doing.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

So in the meantime, before we get into things, we do have somebody that is on the phone.

David Spoon:

So before we get into ways to contact us or different things like that, let's have the person on the phone sent on through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Joy Ann:

Hi, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

This is Joy Ann.

Joy Ann:

Happy Friday.

Joy Ann:

How are you?

David Spoon:

I'm doing wonderful.

David Spoon:

How are you doing, Joy Ann, it's always wonderful to hear from you.

Joy Ann:

Thank you.

Joy Ann:

We are blessed and highly favored.

Joy Ann:

And I did want to share something cool that happened last night and then a prayer request, too.

Joy Ann:

But do I have a minute to answer the question about the names?

David Spoon:

Yes, yes.

David Spoon:

Thank you for that.

David Spoon:

That's very nice of you.

David Spoon:

A lot of people don't think about those things.

David Spoon:

I think those things are really cool.

David Spoon:

What would you think it'd be?

David Spoon:

You gave new names to some people in the Bible.

David Spoon:

What would you want your name to be?

Joy Ann:

Well, I will say I do love my name, Joy Ann.

Joy Ann:

And our parents would have playful nicknames for us.

Joy Ann:

When we were growing up, there were six kids, so my twin sister and other beautiful siblings.

Joy Ann:

So my mom would call me Joyana D, like Chickadee.

Joy Ann:

And I think of Chickadee as, you know, precious little baby pet, you know, And God looks on us as his little precious ones.

Joy Ann:

And then for Cordelia, my dad would call her Cordelia.

Joy Ann:

So that just has just a beautiful ring to it.

Joy Ann:

Cordelia means Hawaiian breeze.

Joy Ann:

So I don't know what Cordelia is.

Joy Ann:

But if our own parents would give us playful, sweet names, can you imagine what names that the Lord would give us in heaven?

Joy Ann:

I'm looking forward to it.

David Spoon:

I am, too.

David Spoon:

I'm just concerned when I get there, God will say, David's name is he who Never Shuts Up.

David Spoon:

Anyway.

Joy Ann:

Oh, keep speaking.

David Spoon:

You're speaking the truth.

Joy Ann:

Well, a couple of things I wanted to share when we were at the other house that you know, we were there, Cordelia and I, for four years, and it had some mold and structure issues.

Joy Ann:

So we're so grateful to be away from there.

Joy Ann:

But our beautiful neighbors across the street, we prayed for them often.

Joy Ann:

And she's Jewish and he's Catholic.

Joy Ann:

In fact, he looks like you, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

A younger, like in his 40s, but very handsome like you.

Joy Ann:

Anyway, they're beautiful couple.

Joy Ann:

Well, they came last night.

Joy Ann:

They said, are you home?

Joy Ann:

So this is their first time to come see us.

Joy Ann:

And she's a chef, and she makes the most beautiful cakes.

Joy Ann:

And so when, you know, I prayed for an opportunity to, you know, witness.

Joy Ann:

And I've shared some, like, messianic Jewish literature and such, but we found out that they have actually visited our church twice.

Joy Ann:

When they found out, you know, that my pastors, Dr.

Joy Ann:

Jeffress, they were so thrilled.

Joy Ann:

And so, anyway, we got to talk a little bit about that.

Joy Ann:

After they left, she texted me.

Joy Ann:

She said, you girls are so beautiful and you have such a beautiful home and you deserve it.

Joy Ann:

And I said, no, we're just blessed.

Joy Ann:

We're so blessed.

Joy Ann:

So anyway, we're just praying to be a blessing to that beautiful couple.

Joy Ann:

But that was a thrill to have them over and share a little bit about what God has done.

Joy Ann:

But, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David, we do have a prayer request because we've been in this home, this beautiful home almost four months.

Joy Ann:

And it's just such exquisitely lovely, nice neighborhood.

Joy Ann:

But we're renting from fabulous family members.

Joy Ann:

But there is a disruption in their marriage such that it's spilling over onto us.

Joy Ann:

And it looks like we might need to leave here in a few weeks.

Joy Ann:

Now we pray for mercy and intervention.

Joy Ann:

And that is one reason I went for counseling the other day.

Joy Ann:

It went great.

Joy Ann:

But I'm going to seek pastoral counsel too.

Joy Ann:

Is how did deal with, like, the splashover of some toxic stuff that's coming against us.

Joy Ann:

And we realized that Satan, you know, we were hoping to have family over for Thanksgiving.

Joy Ann:

We love to show hospitality and have people over, but right now that's just not possible.

Joy Ann:

So would you pray intervention in this very unusual circumstance?

Joy Ann:

And Corgillia is weeping today.

Joy Ann:

I just feel so sorry for her.

David Spoon:

Well, let's pray.

David Spoon:

Let's bring it before the Lord.

David Spoon:

Let's do it right now.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now.

David Spoon:

And Father, we thank you and we praise you for everything, even things that we look at, Lord, and we just don't.

David Spoon:

We don't know because we don't see the beginning and the end the way that you do.

David Spoon:

And so, first and foremost, we're going to say thank you because you have always been faithful.

David Spoon:

You have never failed us, you have never left us, you have never abandoned us.

David Spoon:

And, Lord, you've always protected us and brought us through in this situation.

David Spoon:

For Joanne and Cordelia, it's harsh, Lord, and it's harsh because it has nothing to do with them.

David Spoon:

And a lot of false accusations taking place, a lot of frustrations and feelings, and certainly the enemy is at work trying to steal, kill and destroy.

David Spoon:

So we are asking in the name of Jesus, that you would interfere on purpose.

David Spoon:

You would bring your kingdom into this situation, however it's got to be.

David Spoon:

You would bring your kingdom into this situation.

David Spoon:

First and foremost, I pray for your daughters, I pray for Cordelia, and I pray for Joyenne, that there would be essentially a bubble of peace and protection, a hedge of protection.

David Spoon:

We know you do it.

David Spoon:

We see it in your word.

David Spoon:

And so we ask you to put that protection around them emotionally, psychologically and spiritually, because you are the protector of your children.

David Spoon:

And we ask you to watch over them as they're going through this process.

David Spoon:

And, Lord, give them grace.

David Spoon:

Send from heaven grace into this situation.

David Spoon:

You teach us in your word that we're supposed to come to your throne of grace, to receive mercy and to find grace in our time of need.

David Spoon:

They need grace, and this is their time of need.

David Spoon:

So we ask you to send that you can change circumstances in a moment.

David Spoon:

Please do so for the sake of our family, for the sake of your children, for the sake of our sisters.

David Spoon:

Change this circumstance and protect.

David Spoon:

Protect your daughters in this process.

David Spoon:

And don't let the enemy, not even a foothold, not even an opening.

David Spoon:

We come against the spirit of fear.

David Spoon:

We come against the darkness, trying to push against them, stop them from testifying, stop them and try and make things hard.

David Spoon:

We come against that evil in the name of Jesus.

David Spoon:

And you've committed to us that you will help us and answer prayer and protect.

David Spoon:

And we ask you to do that very thing for the both of them.

David Spoon:

Put your comfort into their hearts and minds and your peace into their thoughts.

David Spoon:

Be the Lord God of the universe, and in this situation, manifest your fatherhood.

David Spoon:

We pray that in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen and amen.

Joy Ann:

Oh, amen.

Joy Ann:

Thank you, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

We received that.

Joy Ann:

And we know there's a testimony around the corner from all that.

Joy Ann:

The Lord is so kind.

Joy Ann:

There's a verse that says Psalm 68.

Joy Ann:

6.

Joy Ann:

It says God puts the lonely in families.

Joy Ann:

But another version says God puts The displaced in homes.

Joy Ann:

I think that's the CSB version.

Joy Ann:

So God is going to use this in a minute ministering and missionary way.

Joy Ann:

And your prayers and that of the audience are helping.

Joy Ann:

And we love everyone out there.

Joy Ann:

Samson has suffered so much, so many.

Joy Ann:

You think of Deborah and Ace, you know, we love.

Joy Ann:

We love our family with your, you know, your ministry.

Joy Ann:

So thank you especially love you and Noel.

Joy Ann:

Thank you, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

Carry on.

David Spoon:

All right, God bless you.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

David Spoon:

All right, thanks.

David Spoon:

Love you.

Joy Ann:

Bye.

Joy Ann:

Bye.

David Spoon:

So I was going to go a different direction, but now I've got something that I got to share with you.

David Spoon:

It's really cool.

David Spoon:

I like it when you guys call in and then we have these engagements and we talk and we pray.

David Spoon:

And that's a big part of it, is praying for one another, is joining one another in the struggle.

David Spoon:

And I think that's a big part of the manifestation of fulfilling the law of Christ.

David Spoon:

And then I like the teaching.

David Spoon:

Don't get weird.

David Spoon:

I mean, I enjoy teaching.

David Spoon:

You guys can pretty much tell that because I get all ramped up.

David Spoon:

But there's something that happened in the last two days which I find to be interesting.

David Spoon:

And I just been putting it in correlation to what Joanne and Cordelia was sharing, and that's this.

David Spoon:

And it's really kind of a goofy thing, and you just have to bear with me.

David Spoon:

And I know some of you will understand it maybe a little better and forgive me for not communicating it better, but.

David Spoon:

So yesterday I'm driving in from.

David Spoon:

You know, we relocated to Denton.

David Spoon:

And that was about seven months ago.

David Spoon:

Getting close to seven months anyway, and driving in, and I'm not really used to the.

David Spoon:

All of the drive yet because I haven't done it like where we were in the other place.

David Spoon:

I was there for four years, so I was like, okay, I know every nuance well.

David Spoon:

I'm still learning the nuances of my drive.

David Spoon:

So I'm driving in yesterday morning, coming in, and I noticed something that really super disturbed me very much so as I was driving, it turned out.

David Spoon:

Now just bear with me.

David Spoon:

It's a little funny, but a little important at the same time.

David Spoon:

It turned out that I couldn't see the lines in the freeway very clearly now, for the most part, not really a problem.

David Spoon:

But there's a section where I couldn't see it, and I'm like, gosh, I really can't see it.

David Spoon:

I'm really not seeing it very well.

David Spoon:

So I darted on my reading glasses because I thought maybe I'm just Having a hard time.

David Spoon:

And then I could see it more clearly with the reading glasses, but it still wasn't that great.

David Spoon:

So I get to the studio and I call my wife.

David Spoon:

That's what I do.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

Because I certainly am talking to the Lord about it, going, I know I'm getting older, but one day.

David Spoon:

That's a huge drop in one day.

David Spoon:

So I said to her, you gotta please pray for me.

David Spoon:

I don't know what's going on right now.

David Spoon:

Just bear with me.

David Spoon:

So I prayed about it, and I've considered it seriously.

David Spoon:

And all the other ramifications.

David Spoon:

I'm driving down the road today.

David Spoon:

Just listen.

David Spoon:

I'm driving down the road today.

David Spoon:

That same section, that same thing.

David Spoon:

So I do something that I rarely do.

David Spoon:

I assume it was the Lord.

David Spoon:

I hope it was the Lord.

David Spoon:

I put on my sunglasses.

David Spoon:

Just a minute.

David Spoon:

You see, I don't like driving with sunglasses because they.

David Spoon:

I don't know, they just.

David Spoon:

I don't know.

David Spoon:

I just like having nothing.

David Spoon:

But all of a sudden, when I put on my sunglasses, I could see all the lines in the road.

David Spoon:

And then as I'm driving, I'm laughing in the Lord.

David Spoon:

I mean, the text I sent my wife was hilarious.

David Spoon:

But I'm laughing because it's like, oh, I really couldn't see it because my eyes aren't that great.

David Spoon:

But boy, they were a lot better putting on sunglasses.

David Spoon:

And it seemed like such a stupid idea, but I've had those sunglasses for seven years, and I've worn them about five times.

David Spoon:

But all of a sudden, I could see better.

David Spoon:

Something as simple as putting on sunglasses sometimes.

David Spoon:

Remember you hear me talking about the Phil about putting on the glasses that God gives you.

David Spoon:

Sometimes we're looking at things and it's more simplistic to see it more clearly than we think.

David Spoon:

You might be going through something, and I got a message for you.

David Spoon:

Not everything is as deep and convincing.

David Spoon:

Sometimes it's a super easy way to see it.

David Spoon:

And I'm going to say this, and you got to be careful on how you take this.

David Spoon:

But sometimes it is an issue of it's spiritual warfare.

David Spoon:

It's nothing to do with you.

David Spoon:

It's got to do with the enemy trying to create problems and do things or whatever.

David Spoon:

And it's like, I think sometimes the solution for us in the Lord is maybe more simple than we recognize.

David Spoon:

So be aware that if you're going through something and you can't see it quite clearly, the solution to that could be easier than you think.

David Spoon:

And it does make me think of Jesus in the parable talking about the wheat and the tares.

David Spoon:

And Jesus said, an enemy has done this.

David Spoon:

Once you realize the enemy is actually out there to get you.

David Spoon:

It does help on some of these trials.

David Spoon:

It's not just, oh, the Lord allows it because he's playing with my life.

David Spoon:

Sometimes it has to do with us being more in tune with the enemy, is not happy with the things that we're doing.

David Spoon:

We said this before, and I like that Eric picked up on it really, really good.

David Spoon:

There is not a demon behind every rock, but there are demons behind rocks, and we need to be aware of that because the thief comes but to steal, kill, and destroy.

David Spoon:

But Jesus said, I have come that they may have life and have life more abundant.

David Spoon:

Sometimes the answer is recognizing their spiritual warfare and putting on the armor of God.

David Spoon:

That's the answer.

David Spoon:

In my case, it was putting on the sunglasses.

David Spoon:

Do you get it?

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

I thought it was funny.

David Spoon:

My wife thinks I've lost my mind, but then she still loves me, so maybe she's lost hers.

David Spoon:

All right, folks, you're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Short break.

David Spoon:

We'll be back.

David Spoon:

Don't go anywhere.

David Spoon:

What is the David Spoon experience?

David Spoon:

When you are in the presence of the Lord and his presence is strengthening you, and we talked about that can happen through the word of God, through prayer and through fellowship.

David Spoon:

And then you go through some process where somebody sends you a text, or somebody sends you a letter, or somebody calls you, or somebody sends you an email, or somebody looks at you funny, or somebody kind of glances or somebody says something about you, or you hear something about yourself, or you eat the wrong kind of tacos and you just feel bad and the joy is sucking away at the moment.

David Spoon:

Here is the answer.

David Spoon:

While the devil is trying to take your joy away, here is the key.

David Spoon:

For the next 365 days for your life.

David Spoon:

When the devil takes the joy away by robbing you, you go back into the presence of God again.

David Spoon:

When the devil comes in and robs you and takes that joy, will you get up off your duff or your blessed assurance and you go into the presence of God again.

David Spoon:

Be it prayer, be it Bible, be it fellowship, be it worship, be it whatever, I don't care.

David Spoon:

Get up and get back in the presence of God again.

David Spoon:

And when the devil comes around the second time and knocks on your door and you open it and he takes it from you again, then you get off your blessed assurance again and you get back into the presence of God again.

David Spoon:

And when he does it a third time, you do it again.

David Spoon:

And when he does it a fourth time, you do it again.

David Spoon:

Because the strength of the Lord is in the joy of the Lord, which is found in the presence of the Lord.

David Spoon:

And when he comes a robbing, you go to refill when the tank is empty, put gas in it.

David Spoon:

When you're depleted, fill it up and you think, well, I can't do that.

David Spoon:

Why not?

David Spoon:

You did it the first time.

David Spoon:

Yes, but that was special.

David Spoon:

Why?

David Spoon:

Because you tried try again, but you don't understand.

David Spoon:

No, I don't care.

David Spoon:

That's much, much more heartless to say that.

David Spoon:

Huh?

David Spoon:

That's a good one.

David Spoon:

I don't care.

David Spoon:

It doesn't matter.

David Spoon:

I care about the truth.

David Spoon:

I don't care about somebody's.

David Spoon:

Well, my perception.

David Spoon:

Well, good for you.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

David Spoon:

When you can figure out that you can argue with God, let me know how that goes.

David Spoon:

If you win that argument, you come back, you can take the throne, but you ain't going to win it.

David Spoon:

So when the enemy comes and he comes to stealing, you do exactly what you need to do to take it back.

David Spoon:

If he steals from you, you take it right back.

David Spoon:

Why?

David Spoon:

Because you can.

David Spoon:

Because he's not empowered to keep it from you.

David Spoon:

He's empowered to take it momentarily, you're empowered to take it right back.

David Spoon:

Take it.

David Spoon:

The David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Oh, welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Thank you for joining us here at KAM 7 the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

That's Kaaman 770, the Truth Station here in Texas, where if you just heard that fill, it had to do with the enemy stealing and so on and so forth.

David Spoon:

And then before that, I was talking about that and recognizing some things are just spiritual warfare.

David Spoon:

I kind of feel like that's the Lord going, yeah.

David Spoon:

One time I was preaching in Flagstaff, Arizona.

David Spoon:

Let me say this.

David Spoon:

I was preaching in Flagstaff, Arizona, and I was making my, you know, my massively important Sunday night point in Flagstaff, Arizona.

David Spoon:

And this is just going and going and going and going.

David Spoon:

And I said if right in the congregation and if Jesus was here right now, he'd say it.

David Spoon:

So.

David Spoon:

And at that exact second, this enormous lightning hit the area in thunder and it went.

David Spoon:

And everybody looked at me and I said, see, sometimes the Lord gives you a backup on that.

David Spoon:

That was a little bit of backup.

David Spoon:

So for those of you that heard it and thinking, is that true?

David Spoon:

Yes, use it.

David Spoon:

It's a great way to move forward and to be free.

David Spoon:

From things.

David Spoon:

Get it?

David Spoon:

Okay, cool.

David Spoon:

All right, so next trivia question.

David Spoon:

And then we've got to do Jake's take.

David Spoon:

You can't forget that because that is important.

David Spoon:

Your next trivia question.

David Spoon:

Now, in answering this, please just give the answer.

David Spoon:

Don't give anything additional because there's an additional question coming after it.

David Spoon:

How many stones did David use to kill Goliath?

David Spoon:

How many stones did David use to kill Goliath?

David Spoon:

st Samuel:

David Spoon:

How many stones did he use to kill Goliath?

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

You can send an email davidmustincrease.org so in the very first trivia question, I just want to point this out.

David Spoon:

Joanne and Cordelia got it in this one.

David Spoon:

Al got it, had the wrong answer and put the right answer before anybody else got the next answer in.

David Spoon:

That's pretty good.

David Spoon:

Again, the question and your reference, by the way, I should give you a reference.

David Spoon:

First Samuel:

David Spoon:

First Samuel:

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

So I'm just making sure that you guys understand that if you're trying to reach us, because I know people are trying to do that.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Does that make sense?

David Spoon:

Or text during the show?

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

So your question.

David Spoon:

How many stones?

David Spoon:

We're not talking about rolling stones.

David Spoon:

How many stones did David use to kill Goliath?

David Spoon:

That is the question.

David Spoon:

We do have somebody that is ready to answer their trivia question.

David Spoon:

We will give them an opportunity.

David Spoon:

Let's send them on through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Eric:

Hey, this is your little brother.

David Spoon:

Hello, little brother.

David Spoon:

How are you?

Eric:

Good.

Eric:

And Shabbat Shalom.

David Spoon:

Shabbat shalom.

David Spoon:

All right, you got the trivia question coming up.

David Spoon:

Now don't get tricked by it because it's real specific.

David Spoon:

How many stones did David use to kill Goliath?

David Spoon:

st Samuel:

David Spoon:

How many stones?

Eric:

He used a rolling stone.

David Spoon:

And how many was that?

Eric:

Only one.

David Spoon:

That is correct.

David Spoon:

Abida.

David Spoon:

You see, it's a little sneaky, but that's okay.

David Spoon:

It's how many?

David Spoon:

Not how many stones did he gather, but how many stones did he actually use to take him down and it was like, well, he only used one stone.

David Spoon:

Good job, brother.

David Spoon:

Good job.

David Spoon:

Very, very good.

David Spoon:

What's happening?

Eric:

Hey.

Eric:

I was just praying along your side for our sisters, Joanne, Cordelia, I believe.

David Spoon:

Yes.

Eric:

Earlier I.

Eric:

I feel like in my spirit, I felt like a.

Eric:

I.

Eric:

Yeah, I can just say like, I felt like she need to laugh at her problem in a way that Lord is rebuke, rebuking those devourers that are taking her joy.

Eric:

Because the joy of the Lord is her strength.

Eric:

So she just need to laugh to like.

Eric:

As earlier, your message was like an enemy is trying to kill, steal and destroy and take it away.

Eric:

Our joy.

Eric:

But the Lord is saying, no, he can't.

Eric:

He can't.

David Spoon:

Amen, brother.

Eric:

My.

Eric:

My strength is their joy.

Eric:

So they just need to rejoice and maybe buy some sparkling cider and have a toast and enjoy the Shabbat.

David Spoon:

Excellent, excellent advice and input.

David Spoon:

Nice job.

David Spoon:

Nicely done.

Eric:

Yes.

Eric:

Hey, I also have a little request for our audience.

Eric:

If they know any good Christian attorney who does a probate thing and if they could message you and you could message me or they can directly message me.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Eric:

Because I need to take care of my sister stuff.

David Spoon:

Gotcha.

Eric:

I'm just looking for some Christian attorney who could help us with that and who will be charged reasonably.

David Spoon:

Well, here's what we'll do.

David Spoon:

If anybody has an attorney, a Christian attorney that they work with.

David Spoon:

If you email me, don't text me on this one.

David Spoon:

Email me.

David Spoon:

David.

David Spoon:

He must increase.org I will send that off to Samson.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

So that'll give you the opportunity for people to reach out to you.

David Spoon:

Okay, brother?

Eric:

Good.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Eric:

Hey, I have a question for you because you're a doctor.

Eric:

How did Jesus crucifixion saved us?

David Spoon:

Wait a minute.

David Spoon:

Are you really asking the real soteriological and hermetiological question as to how it actually saves us?

David Spoon:

Are you just.

David Spoon:

Is this a setup?

David Spoon:

Which one of the two?

David Spoon:

It's a setup.

David Spoon:

It's set up.

David Spoon:

Okay, so how did.

David Spoon:

Okay, say it again then.

David Spoon:

We want to give you the proper intro for it.

David Spoon:

Give me.

David Spoon:

Say it again.

Eric:

Okay.

Eric:

How did Jesus crucifixion saved us?

David Spoon:

How did Jesus crucifixion save us?

David Spoon:

How did it save us?

Eric:

Because he nailed it.

David Spoon:

No, he nailed it.

David Spoon:

Wow, that's edgy but good.

David Spoon:

I liked it.

David Spoon:

I give it a props.

David Spoon:

I'm just saying I thought it was pretty good.

Eric:

All right, let's have a happy Shabbat, everybody.

David Spoon:

God bless you, brother.

Eric:

God bless you too.

Eric:

Thank you, David.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Bye.

Joy Ann:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

I want to talk to you about something.

David Spoon:

So I'm going to take about three or four minutes.

David Spoon:

This is not complex stuff.

David Spoon:

You like it.

David Spoon:

This is just.

David Spoon:

We are just these people.

David Spoon:

You just have to deal with it.

David Spoon:

Okay, so what he said, for those that don't know, so don't get offended if you're easily offended.

David Spoon:

Remember, love is not easily offended.

David Spoon:

He said, how did Jesus crucifixion save us?

David Spoon:

Because he nailed it.

David Spoon:

Because he was nailed to the cross.

David Spoon:

That's what he said.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right, here.

David Spoon:

I want to talk to you about a strategy I want you to use.

David Spoon:

You can use it now, which I would encourage you to do.

David Spoon:

Or wait, wait, wait.

David Spoon:

Or you can start, like, you know, Thanksgiving is probably a good time to start this one, too.

David Spoon:

That's a couple weeks away, or even at Christmas or New Year's.

David Spoon:

But even now is even better.

David Spoon:

This is a strategy.

David Spoon:

Just understand what I'm saying.

David Spoon:

Let me just say it.

David Spoon:

And this will really challenge you.

David Spoon:

I'm serious.

David Spoon:

This is a challenge.

David Spoon:

You say, I love doing this.

David Spoon:

And again, I just trying to kind of make sure people catch this.

David Spoon:

The strategy is called eva.

David Spoon:

Eva.

David Spoon:

And you're thinking, okay, well, that's got to be an acronym.

David Spoon:

And you are correct, because there's not anybody I'm talking about specifically.

David Spoon:

And no, I would never be talking about anybody from Hollywood.

David Spoon:

Eva.

David Spoon:

Eva, by the way, is the female given name, the Latin counterpart of English to Eve.

David Spoon:

So Eva is the Latin for Eve.

David Spoon:

Hold on.

David Spoon:

Just bear with me.

David Spoon:

Eve is derived from the Hebrew name meaning life.

David Spoon:

So Eva is the Latinate counterpart of the English Eve.

David Spoon:

And Eva in Latin means life.

David Spoon:

But in our acronym, we're going to do something a little different.

David Spoon:

Listen to this.

David Spoon:

And I've talked about it before, but I really want you to hone in on it.

David Spoon:

Eva stands for every victory acknowledged.

David Spoon:

Let me say that again.

David Spoon:

Every victory acknowledged.

David Spoon:

One of the things that you see us do on this show, and we do it a lot, and we're not the only ones that do it, but I'm going to jump on it because I have that opportunity.

David Spoon:

And that is when the Lord does something for you, no matter what its size, small, medium, large, extra large, or gigantic, every victory should be acknowledged because that is what the Lord expects of us.

David Spoon:

That doesn't mean you have to call up every time on this show and share it.

David Spoon:

I am not saying that.

David Spoon:

No, no, no.

David Spoon:

I am saying that everything you encounter when you know, it's a victory in the Lord when you know, okay, The Lord helped me do that.

David Spoon:

When you're just having a hard time getting through traffic and you say, lord, please just get me through this in one piece and then you get home.

David Spoon:

Every victory acknowledged.

David Spoon:

Eva.

David Spoon:

Romans 8:37.

David Spoon:

It says this.

David Spoon:

No.

David Spoon:

In all these things, we are more than victorious through him who loves us.

David Spoon:

What?

David Spoon:

We are more than victorious.

David Spoon:

We are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

David Spoon:

The idea is that we acknowledge every victory.

David Spoon:

Now, I'm not telling you to write it down, although I think you should.

David Spoon:

I'm not telling you to shout it from the rooftops, although I think you should.

David Spoon:

I'm not telling you you have to share it on this show.

David Spoon:

I think you should.

David Spoon:

But you.

David Spoon:

Between you and God, and even if you only do it for a week, just try it.

David Spoon:

Every victory acknowledged.

David Spoon:

No matter the size, everyone.

David Spoon:

Nehemiah 25 says, they ate, they were filled, they became prosperous and delighted in your goodness.

David Spoon:

Or in your great goodness is what it says.

David Spoon:

They ate, they were filled, they became prosperous and delighted in your great goodness.

David Spoon:

Every victory that the Lord grants you, no matter the size between you and God, acknowledge it.

David Spoon:

Eva, I want you to try that strategy.

David Spoon:

I think you'll find that it pleases the Lord and it will bless you.

David Spoon:

That's what I think.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right, we'll take our break and then come back.

David Spoon:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Short break.

David Spoon:

We'll be back.

David Spoon:

Don't go anywhere.

David Spoon:

What is the David Spoon experience?

David Spoon:

This is the way I put it.

David Spoon:

He's still working on me to make.

Eric:

Me what I ought to be.

David Spoon:

That's exactly right.

David Spoon:

That's an excellent say.

David Spoon:

He's still working on me to make me what I ought to be.

David Spoon:

That's a great line.

David Spoon:

That's excellent.

David Spoon:

And let me share this story with you.

David Spoon:

I got to share this thing.

David Spoon:

You brought that up about the gas.

David Spoon:

And I've talked about this story one other time, but I'll bring it up again when I, my brother and I, Billy and Larry and Bruce and I were at Foundation Fellowship.

David Spoon:

It was a church long ago.

David Spoon:

This lady testified.

David Spoon:

It was just so amazing.

David Spoon:

It was right when the gas was going absolutely crazy.

David Spoon:

And she said, she's filling up her car and she puts.

David Spoon:

The car was empty.

David Spoon:

She put the gas in and she looked up to heaven and she said, how are we going to get through this?

David Spoon:

This is absolutely, this is getting to be ridiculous.

David Spoon:

She put the car in, she started filling up the gas, and after about a dollar, it stopped and it wouldn't pump anymore.

David Spoon:

She'd only pay about a buck's worth.

David Spoon:

And her car was empty.

David Spoon:

And on a dollar, God filled her tank completely.

David Spoon:

And so it's just like God can do anything.

David Spoon:

It's like, oh, no, that lady, she was, you just could not.

David Spoon:

You cannot take the joy of the Lord away from her.

David Spoon:

She was like, so happy.

David Spoon:

She was restrained in sharing it, but it just tells you God can take anything we have and multiply it and get us through sometimes.

David Spoon:

Hallelujah.

David Spoon:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the true station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

There's KAAM, the truth station here in Texas, where this is the kind of show where we need two hours, trust me.

David Spoon:

Anyway, a quick praise report from Jeanette.

David Spoon:

Jeanette sent out, filled out a form online which said that she had just been praying for a really good night's sleep last night.

David Spoon:

And she got it.

David Spoon:

And that's exactly what I'm talking about.

David Spoon:

You don't think, well, that's not something I want to share.

David Spoon:

Yes, it is.

David Spoon:

There's a lot of people out there that know they're having a hard time sleeping and don't pray.

David Spoon:

Here's a brilliant idea.

David Spoon:

Do that.

David Spoon:

Pray about it.

David Spoon:

Ask God to help you and Eva.

David Spoon:

Every victory acknowledged.

David Spoon:

You get that?

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

I'm going to do our next trivia question now.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

In a second.

David Spoon:

And then we're going to send you to the website.

David Spoon:

We're going to come back.

David Spoon:

I am going to do Jake's take and no, I'm not going to Ms.

David Spoon:

DNA.

David Spoon:

So we just have a lot that we got going on.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

So we do have somebody on the line.

David Spoon:

We're going to have to hold on that for just a second.

David Spoon:

Can they hold on for just a little bit?

David Spoon:

We think yes, maybe.

David Spoon:

Okay, cool.

David Spoon:

All right, so your trivia question that I do want you guys to answer, and it's not complex, but it is a specific answer.

David Spoon:

After David killed Goliath, like after he sunk the stone and Goliath was on the ground, David took his sword.

David Spoon:

What did he do with it?

David Spoon:

st Samuel:

David Spoon:

What did David do to Goliath after he was on the ground?

David Spoon:

After Goliath was on the ground, what did he do with it?

David Spoon:

If you think you know, you still can reach out to us.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

David must increase.org I'm just going to send you up to the website and say, check it out.

David Spoon:

There's a lot of cool stuff up there.

David Spoon:

If you want to give, great.

David Spoon:

If you don't, don't worry about it.

David Spoon:

You can still put up prayer and praise requests.

David Spoon:

The ministry is for everybody.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Check it out on the website.

David Spoon:

He must increase.org prayer request.

David Spoon:

He must increase praise report.

David Spoon:

He must increase.org looking to give to this ministry.

David Spoon:

He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.

David Spoon:

He must increase.org he must increase.org I declare bankruptcy.

David Spoon:

Sorry.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

Somebody is on.

David Spoon:

Sorry.

David Spoon:

I'm sorry.

David Spoon:

Somebody's on the line.

David Spoon:

Let's send them on through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

David Spoon:

Hey, the trumpet's blowing.

David Spoon:

Hey, David.

David Spoon:

This is Eric.

David Spoon:

Hey, Eric.

David Spoon:

How are you, brother?

David Spoon:

I'm doing just fine here.

David Spoon:

I'm running on fumes.

David Spoon:

I've just got a couple of hours of sleep.

David Spoon:

That's not good.

Joy Ann:

I'll try to keep it short so I won't say something dumb.

David Spoon:

Okay, well, you can get in line behind me, but that's okay.

David Spoon:

Go ahead.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Trivia.

David Spoon:

Trivia.

David Spoon:

Oh, yeah.

David Spoon:

All right, you ready for this?

David Spoon:

David?

David Spoon:

David killed Goliath after he knocked him in the head with that stone, and Goliath went down.

David Spoon:

What did then David do?

David Spoon:

He yelled out eva.

Joy Ann:

Every victory acknowledged, and he chopped off his head.

David Spoon:

That is correct.

David Spoon:

Abundant.

David Spoon:

He yelled eva.

David Spoon:

That's great.

David Spoon:

Love it.

David Spoon:

Excellent job.

David Spoon:

Excellent.

David Spoon:

What's happening?

David Spoon:

Anything else, or do you see prayer for energy?

David Spoon:

No, I just want to listen to more of your song.

David Spoon:

You're such a blessing.

David Spoon:

Thank you, brother.

David Spoon:

I appreciate you.

David Spoon:

Thank you.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Excellent job, Eric.

David Spoon:

Phenomenal.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Just phenomenal.

David Spoon:

All right, now we're going to do Jake's take.

David Spoon:

We're still going to do DNA, so everybody take a deep breath.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

But I do want to do Jake's take because I want to squeeze it in there.

David Spoon:

So let's do it.

David Spoon:

All right, Jake's take.

David Spoon:

You're in charge, Mr.

David Spoon:

Jacob, what do we have?

Jamie Jacob:

Well, the first game on Sunday is the Detroit Lions at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jamie Jacob:

And I'm going to make it short and sweet for the Lions.

Jamie Jacob:

I think they get the win.

Jamie Jacob:

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't been good this year, so I think the Lions win the game easy.

Jamie Jacob:

Okay, I'm confident in that pick.

David Spoon:

Wow.

David Spoon:

Okay, Lions on your first pick.

David Spoon:

What's the second game?

Jamie Jacob:

And the second game is on Monday night.

Jamie Jacob:

The Dallas Cowboys are at home playing the Houston Texans.

Jamie Jacob:

Now, we talked about the Texans a little bit.

Jamie Jacob:

They played the Lions last week in a really good game.

Jamie Jacob:

So now they're playing the Dallas Cowboys.

Jamie Jacob:

But unlike the lion, or unlike.

Jamie Jacob:

Yeah, unlike the Lions, I think the Cowboys lose this game against Houston.

David Spoon:

Ah.

David Spoon:

Sergio's crying right now.

David Spoon:

I just want you to know that.

David Spoon:

I'm just telling you, we love our brother Sergio, but that hurts him.

Jamie Jacob:

Happy Friday, Sergio.

Jamie Jacob:

No, no.

David Spoon:

I guess animosity, right?

Jamie Jacob:

Yeah, animosity towards the Cowboys.

Jamie Jacob:

They're just not a very good team.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

I agree with both your picks and stand by them.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

I say the Lions are going to win.

David Spoon:

I think Dallas will do a lot better than people think because they need to have one of those, like, one of those kind of games, hopefully.

David Spoon:

I don't want to hear about the Hardy Boys or the Keystone Cops anymore.

David Spoon:

I would really prefer to find it to be a good game.

Jamie Jacob:

They could surprise us Monday, David.

Jamie Jacob:

They could surprise us and get a win.

David Spoon:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

And then the Lord can come back between now and that game.

David Spoon:

And that also, too, would be cool.

David Spoon:

All right, so there you got it.

David Spoon:

On Jake's take, we just told you what everybody needs to know.

David Spoon:

Now we're going to do our DNA because we're not missing DNA.

David Spoon:

And I know we've got all these teachings, but listen to me.

David Spoon:

There's nothing that we do that doesn't function out of these three things, period.

David Spoon:

I mean, I'm just telling you it's not the best DNA.

David Spoon:

It's just our DNA.

David Spoon:

That's all it is.

David Spoon:

We'll just do it swiftly.

David Spoon:

D stands for draw closer to the Lord daily.

David Spoon:

Every day that ends in Y spends some time with a guy in the sky.

David Spoon:

Done.

David Spoon:

You just need to do that.

David Spoon:

It'll just make your life better.

David Spoon:

N Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David Spoon:

I do think this is going to become the issue no matter how good or bad it gets in the next so many years.

David Spoon:

This has been the prevailing issue in the last 15 years.

David Spoon:

I've been talking about on the radio for the last 12 years.

David Spoon:

People are going to absolutely categorize at some point, which it's already done in other countries.

David Spoon:

The word of God is hate speech in order to try to stop the promotion of the gospel.

David Spoon:

Therefore, you and I can never afford to be ashamed ever of the word of God or of Jesus ever.

David Spoon:

Right?

David Spoon:

So D draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David Spoon:

A Always be ready to serve.

David Spoon:

You're just ready.

David Spoon:

I mean, if you're ready.

David Spoon:

And by serve, you know what we're saying?

David Spoon:

We're not saying grab a tray and then start serving.

David Spoon:

We're saying, you are available to be used by God for God, for whatever God wants.

David Spoon:

Maybe it's just a moment.

David Spoon:

Maybe it's more than.

David Spoon:

It could be anything.

David Spoon:

It could be just the simplistic thing of just inviting people over to your home or being about anything.

David Spoon:

You could bring in your neighbor's trash can because they left it out and they went to work and they've got a trash can sitting in front of their house.

David Spoon:

And you don't like that idea of somebody thinking they're not home?

David Spoon:

Great.

David Spoon:

Roll it up in their driveway for them.

David Spoon:

And if they ask, say, yeah, I just wanted to make sure your place was safe.

David Spoon:

Just tell them.

David Spoon:

Just that kind of thing.

David Spoon:

Just being available for the Lord to use you.

David Spoon:

That's what we're talking about.

David Spoon:

Do you draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words?

David Spoon:

8.

David Spoon:

Always be ready to serve.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right, so I'm going to have to break because this next teaching is just too intense.

David Spoon:

We'll break here and then we'll come back.

David Spoon:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right Here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Short break.

David Spoon:

We'll be back.

David Spoon:

Don't go anywhere.

David Spoon:

Like any person searching for answers, I too have wondered about him.

David Spoon:

He has a weird sense of humor.

David Spoon:

If people are seeking wisdom and insight from the great teachers around the world, would they go to David?

David Spoon:

No, I don't think so.

David Spoon:

Those big ears really don't help.

David Spoon:

Will people enjoy his perspective on culture, politics, food, sports, and local and national news?

David Spoon:

I don't know.

David Spoon:

He's just a client.

David Spoon:

Tune in to the David Spoon Experience on kaam.

David Spoon:

The David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

And that hope that is offered to us is something that's supposed to greatly encourage us.

David Spoon:

Jesus brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel.

David Spoon:

Through the gospel that Jesus died on the cross, he was buried and three days later he rose again.

David Spoon:

And by faith in the testimony of God, you can live forever.

David Spoon:

That hope is offered to us.

David Spoon:

If that hope is offered to you, and you have not yet accepted, acknowledged and surrendered to it, I ask you to do so right this second.

David Spoon:

I don't even care if you do a fancy prayer.

David Spoon:

Just say, God save me, in Jesus name.

David Spoon:

You will be saved if you believe that Jesus Christ died on that cross, was buried three days later, he rose again.

David Spoon:

And you surrender your heart to Jesus Christ, turning from where you were and turning to Him.

David Spoon:

You will find life right now.

David Spoon:

And you might be out there thinking there's no way it can be that easy.

David Spoon:

Wrong.

David Spoon:

But you have to receive it.

David Spoon:

You have to surrender to it.

David Spoon:

You have to acknowledge God's testimony and say yes to Jesus Christ.

David Spoon:

Doesn't matter what the world says, doesn't matter what your friends say.

David Spoon:

It doesn't matter what any other family member says.

David Spoon:

It only matters for your decision before God in regards to his testimony relating to Jesus Christ and your sins.

David Spoon:

And that's the hope that is offered to us.

David Spoon:

And we can be greatly encouraged by that.

David Spoon:

And that hope is an anchor to our soul.

David Spoon:

That anchor makes it so that even if the winds are heavy and the waves are intense, we don't get tossed and lost.

David Spoon:

That there is some stability, that there is some strength.

David Spoon:

And you can't be like those people that have no hope.

David Spoon:

All there is is this life and there's nothing else.

David Spoon:

That's why they're trying to sin their brains out, because they don't think there's anything else left.

David Spoon:

But they're going to die and face God and he's going to ask regarding his account that he's given in relationship to Jesus Christ and they're going to have to answer.

David Spoon:

And if they have rejected, then they will be as they have placed themselves as people with no hope.

David Spoon:

But if you're a person that has not made that decision to say yes to Jesus Christ, make that decision right now.

Narrator:

And if you can't shout sight, you'll.

David Spoon:

Have to face a penalty.

David Spoon:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

That's KAAM N770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Some people don't like that last fill.

David Spoon:

Let me explain something to you.

David Spoon:

In Acts, the jailer said, what must I do to be saved?

David Spoon:

To Paul and Silas, they said, believe in Jesus and you will be saved.

David Spoon:

He didn't say believe as in past tense.

David Spoon:

It's a perfect present tense.

David Spoon:

But believing in Jesus, you'll be saved.

David Spoon:

That's it.

David Spoon:

Okay, Stop adding to it.

David Spoon:

Okay, last trivia question.

David Spoon:

Pretty interesting, actually.

David Spoon:

Which apostle did Herod execute in Acts 12:1, 2.

David Spoon:

Which apostle was executed by Herod in Acts, chapter 12?

David Spoon:

If you think you know the answer, please be brief.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Let's go.

David Spoon:

Let faith.

David Spoon:

Let's go.

David Spoon:

Let fake him.

David Spoon:

Let.

David Spoon:

All right, so before I say that, just on that trivia question, It's Acts, chapter 12, so we're not in the Gospels.

David Spoon:

Okay, Just making sure you got that.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

For history today.

David Spoon:

For those that do not know, today is National Bunt Day.

David Spoon:

Like bunt, as in bundt cake.

David Spoon:

It was like, that's cool.

David Spoon:

I like that.

David Spoon:

Do you like those?

Jamie Jacob:

For a second I was singing like a bunt.

David Spoon:

Like baseball, right?

David Spoon:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

No, that's actually cake.

David Spoon:

I don't know.

David Spoon:

You can never say no to cake.

David Spoon:

I'm not sure what deal.

Jamie Jacob:

Yeah, yeah.

David Spoon:

You have to give that cake is.

Jamie Jacob:

Hard to not like, right?

David Spoon:

I know.

David Spoon:

I mean, what is it that cake's ever done?

David Spoon:

Nothing but make everybody smile.

David Spoon:

It's also National Raisin Bran cereal day, which is good.

David Spoon:

I mean, I like Raisin Bran, Right?

David Spoon:

It's good cereal.

David Spoon:

I think it's cool.

David Spoon:

All right, let's see.

David Spoon:

That's not.

David Spoon:

Oh,:

David Spoon:

First nationwide radio network in the United States began broadcasting National Broadcasting Company NBC, which now stands for no Bible Christians.

David Spoon:

Oh, sorry.

David Spoon:

And then, last but not least,:

David Spoon:

Classic movie, just.

David Spoon:

All right, your trivia question.

David Spoon:

Listen to the question.

David Spoon:

I'm only telling you that because I want people to get it right.

David Spoon:

Here you go.

David Spoon:

Which apostle did Herod execute?

David Spoon:

Acts, chapter 12, verse one and two.

David Spoon:

So it's not in Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

David Spoon:

It's in the book of Acts.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

If you think you know, reach out to us and get ready for a tough teaching.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Kind of making you smile.

David Spoon:

This one should still make you smile, but you should recognize its strength.

David Spoon:

Isaiah 8, 19, 20.

David Spoon:

When they say to you, consult the spirits of the dead, or the spiritists who chirp and mutter, shouldn't a people consult their God?

David Spoon:

Should they consult the dead on the behalf of the living, to the law and to the testimony?

David Spoon:

If they do not speak according to this word, there will be no dawn for them.

David Spoon:

Wow.

David Spoon:

So first off, who are the they?

David Spoon:

Right?

David Spoon:

So it says if they do not speak and when they say, who are the they?

David Spoon:

They are not the godly.

David Spoon:

In other words, they're the godly.

David Spoon:

These are people that say, consult spirits of the dead.

David Spoon:

These are people that reject the word of God as being, get ready the word of God.

David Spoon:

These are the people that make fun of the word of God or say it's just all metaphorical or it's all allegories or it's all made up stories.

David Spoon:

Those are the very same people who actually are poo pooing the word of God.

David Spoon:

And here's the ticket.

David Spoon:

They will get advice from a thousand other places.

David Spoon:

But when they get advice from people who have died before them, or when they get advice from dead spirits, or when they get advice from spiritists and people like that, that's like getting health advice for somebody who keeps eating themselves into a heart attack.

David Spoon:

That is not brilliant.

David Spoon:

That is dumb.

David Spoon:

And so Isaiah, as the prophet says, to the law and to the testimony, and this is the crux to the law.

David Spoon:

What's the law in this case?

David Spoon:

It's the fullness of the law.

David Spoon:

It's Torah law.

David Spoon:

It's all that God had to write and to the testimony, which by the way, is the witness of God.

David Spoon:

So to the law is the word of God and to the testimony.

David Spoon:

And yes, experience counts.

David Spoon:

Get tired of people going, we can't say it by experience, really.

David Spoon:

If you don't experience Jesus to some degree, you don't even know him.

David Spoon:

And the thing is.

David Spoon:

And we'll get to the caller in a split second, the thing is this.

David Spoon:

The key is, if we don't go to the word of God, to the law, and if we don't go to the witness to what God has done, the testimony, there will be no new day, there will be no fresh start, and there will be no end to the misery because there will be no dawn, no new light, no new day, and no new fresh start.

David Spoon:

So the answer here, where do we seek when we're consulting?

David Spoon:

To the law, God's law, and to the testimony, the witnesses of God.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

I know there's an Ambler Alert going on.

David Spoon:

That's okay.

David Spoon:

Let's have the person online send them on through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

You got two minutes.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Fred:

Hi, David.

Fred:

This is Fred.

Fred:

How are you doing?

David Spoon:

I'm doing wonderful, Fred.

David Spoon:

How are you, my brother?

Fred:

I'm doing fine, sir.

David Spoon:

All right, here we go, brother.

David Spoon:

I'm going to set it up for you.

David Spoon:

Which apostle did Herod execute in Acts, chapter 12, verse 1 and 2?

Fred:

You know, this whole situation really epitomize how dreadful it is to be prideful.

Fred:

He had James killed.

David Spoon:

That is correct, Amanda.

Fred:

Sir, he died one of the most thankful deaths that I have ever heard of in my life.

David Spoon:

Amen, brother.

David Spoon:

All right, you got one minute.

David Spoon:

And I want you to speak a blessing in your heart to the audience, if you will.

Fred:

Yes, for those of you that are.

Fred:

Listen, if there's ever, ever a time when you need to be saved, my God is now.

Fred:

Because as we look at the events happening in the world today, and some of you may or may not understand, but we're as close to the Rapture as we have ever been before in our lives.

Fred:

And if you don't know Jesus, please, please, I plead with you.

Fred:

Get the norm.

Fred:

You will not be disappointed.

David Spoon:

Amen, brother.

David Spoon:

That's right.

David Spoon:

And you know what's great about what you just said?

David Spoon:

The Lord.

David Spoon:

The Lord does not disappoint.

David Spoon:

That is so accurate.

David Spoon:

He does not disappoint.

David Spoon:

We disappoint because we have our limited perspective.

David Spoon:

But God never disappoints.

David Spoon:

Never disappoint.

Fred:

I hang up on this one, Dr.

Fred:

Sponge.

David Spoon:

All right, brother.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

David Spoon:

You have a phenomenal weekend, and I want you to remember, no matter what the enemy comes against you, in you are a blessing to the people of God.

Fred:

God bless you.

Fred:

Thank you so much, Dr.

Fred:

Sponge.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

God bless, brother.

David Spoon:

All right, so now you can see.

David Spoon:

So I didn't get to do two teachings.

David Spoon:

I could have done two.

David Spoon:

I could ease.

David Spoon:

I could have done a third hour.

David Spoon:

I could have done another 30 minutes.

David Spoon:

I know.

David Spoon:

All right, here's the dealios.

David Spoon:

Don't let the enemy delude you.

David Spoon:

If you are not saved, get saved.

David Spoon:

Acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

David Spoon:

If you are saved and you're sliding backwards, stop the slide and call upon the name of the Lord.

David Spoon:

If you're doing great, call upon the name of the Lord and sing praises.

David Spoon:

If you're struggling but you know you're standing firm, call upon the name of the Lord to get re energized and strengthened in him in his presence and in his power.

David Spoon:

Jesus loves you.

David Spoon:

This I know.

David Spoon:

For the Bible tells me so.

David Spoon:

All right, ladies and gentlemen, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770 Truth Station.

David Spoon:

We're taking a 72 and 1 half hour break, then we'll come back More insanity with Spoonanity.

David Spoon:

Talk to you then.

David Spoon:

The views expressed in the preceding program.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.

Just ask him.
