Doctor David Spoon:Hello everybody.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's what's coming up on today's experience.
Doctor David Spoon:It's Doctor Dave's devotional diamonds of the day, also known as DDD's, where my daily devotions become some of our spiritual reflections.
Doctor David Spoon:Sound effects placed throughout the show which have nothing to do with life.
Doctor David Spoon:But the Bible teaches there's a time to laugh and boy, we could all use a good laugh.
Doctor David Spoon:The review of the goofy news which proves Jesus is coming back sooner than you think, closer today than it was yesterday.
Doctor David Spoon:Life lessons for our faith that we could actually use probably won't if we sit on our blessed assurance humor that will force you to think, why does this guy have a radio show?
Doctor David Spoon:Here's the best answer I can give you.
Doctor David Spoon:I don't know.
Doctor David Spoon:I just don't know.
Doctor David Spoon:Also, Bible trivia for fake and yet somehow real cool prizes, your phone calls, and more.
Doctor David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon experience, local, national and heavenly talk.
Doctor David Spoon:My name is Doctor David Spoon and I'll be your host for the next 5,400,000 milliseconds.
Doctor David Spoon:Get ready for one of the more bizarre experiences on live radio here.
Doctor David Spoon:Here, my friends, is the key to the show.
Doctor David Spoon:We don't know what we're doing.
Doctor David Spoon:We have no idea what's going to happen, and we don't care.
Doctor David Spoon:But for the next few minutes, I want to talk faith with you.
Doctor David Spoon:So here we go.
Doctor David Spoon:We're asking questions about living life as a Christian, that process there.
Doctor David Spoon:And on Mondays we kind of throw it all in front of you just by saying, what can our prayer warriors pray for you about?
Doctor David Spoon:I want to make sure you understand that when we say our prayer warriors, we're not talking about me, we're not talking about Jacob, we're not talking about Jennifer, we're not talking about Don.
Doctor David Spoon:We're talking about the audience who are faithful and diligent to pray, who believe that God hears and answers prayers, who approach the throne with confidence, looking to receive mercy and find grace in times of need.
Doctor David Spoon:Hebrews 416 what can our prayer warriors, faithful people, faithful brothers and sisters pray for you about in order to manifest the kingdom of God into the kingdom of men, where God's will should be done.
Doctor David Spoon:What can we do for you in that realm?
Doctor David Spoon:If you have an opinion, a comment, a thought, or a question or anything in response to that, we want you to reach out to us.
Doctor David Spoon: : Doctor David Spoon:Talking to Jam and Jacob is like heading into the week with great faith and expectation.
Doctor David Spoon:Thank you, David.
Doctor David Spoon:Happy Monday.
Doctor David Spoon:Happy Monday to you, my friend.
Doctor David Spoon:You have a nice weekend overall.
Doctor David Spoon:I did have a nice weekend.
Doctor David Spoon:How was your weekend?
Doctor David Spoon:It was very, very nice.
Doctor David Spoon:In fact, Noel and I got a little extra time.
Doctor David Spoon:So she's actually starting a new position today.
Doctor David Spoon:They've bumped her up because she's really good and they keep bumping her up and bumping her up.
Doctor David Spoon:And so she's got her little business that she's doing.
Doctor David Spoon:Plus she's working with the Tom thumb and they've given her a new authoritative place.
Doctor David Spoon:And today's her first day and we'll see how that goes.
Doctor David Spoon:I'll explain that all as that moves on.
Doctor David Spoon:But so we did get just us time and.
Doctor David Spoon:Yes, 3D Friday night.
Doctor David Spoon:That's right.
Doctor David Spoon:That's right.
Doctor David Spoon:That's right.
Doctor David Spoon:That was so much fun.
Doctor David Spoon:All right, so I do want you to be aware if you have something that is going on.
Doctor David Spoon:So we'll start with this one.
Doctor David Spoon:We just mentioned prayer.
Doctor David Spoon:Why?
Doctor David Spoon:Because prayer works.
Doctor David Spoon:I am sick and tired of politicians saying that prayer doesn't work.
Doctor David Spoon:They are just the foolish false prophets that have been prophesied about.
Doctor David Spoon:Prayer changes the universe.
Doctor David Spoon:There are politicians that have actually sworn at people for saying that.
Doctor David Spoon:I'm going to pray about this.
Doctor David Spoon:It's amazing.
Doctor David Spoon:These godless leaders are not helping society, that's for sure.
Doctor David Spoon:And so we strongly believe, strongly understand the biblical truth that prayer changes the world.
Doctor David Spoon:And so if there's something we can pray for you about, if you've got something you're struggling with, if you've got a situation involving you, your family, your friends, your job, your existence, your life, let's pray and ask the kingdom of God to manifest his power into our lives because it works better than the talking heads that come up with nothing and no wisdom whatsoever.
Doctor David Spoon:The power of God prevails.
Doctor David Spoon:So we rejoice in that and we rejoice in his kindness.
Doctor David Spoon:And we rejoice that the kingdom of God enters into the kingdom of men to give us relief and grace and mercy.
Doctor David Spoon:So if we can pray about something, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Doctor David Spoon:We just told you how to get in touch with us.
Doctor David Spoon: -: Doctor David Spoon:That's very, very safe for many people.
Doctor David Spoon: -: Doctor David Spoon: -: Doctor David Spoon:You are welcome to send an email.
Doctor David Spoon:David emustincrease.org dot.
Doctor David Spoon:I will get those too, david@hemustincrease.org dot.
Doctor David Spoon:So you can do that for a prayer request.
Doctor David Spoon:You can do that for a praise report because praise reports are awesome sauce.
Doctor David Spoon:Not talk about Amensky.
Doctor David Spoon:That's praise reports are when you have that opportunity to share, hey, God gave me this grace in this situation and I know it was the kindness of the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:Tell people.
Doctor David Spoon:Tell people.
Doctor David Spoon:It helps you in your own life.
Doctor David Spoon:Hear it.
Doctor David Spoon:It helps other people when they hear it.
Doctor David Spoon:It glorifies God.
Doctor David Spoon:Remember we talked about on Friday, Isaiah 43 seven, you were created for the glory of God.
Doctor David Spoon:So these are opportunities to bring that glory.
Doctor David Spoon:So it can be praise, it can be prayer, it can be anything.
Doctor David Spoon:Maybe it's a scripture.
Doctor David Spoon:Maybe it's just something on your heart and mind and you just want to share it.
Doctor David Spoon:I'm for it.
Doctor David Spoon:I love it.
Doctor David Spoon:We are following as best we can.
Doctor David Spoon:Hebrews chapter ten, verse 25, which says that we are supposed to encourage one another as we see the day getting closer.
Doctor David Spoon:That's what we're doing.
Doctor David Spoon:We know it's a heavy duty political season.
Doctor David Spoon:Everybody knows that.
Doctor David Spoon:And I got a couple of interesting comments.
Doctor David Spoon:They're going to be coming down the pike, so to speak.
Doctor David Spoon:I will let you know that we have reached out, actually in official capacity to each of the campaigns.
Doctor David Spoon:What?
Doctor David Spoon:And have offered them five minutes on this show with a no gotcha approach.
Doctor David Spoon:And our simple, simple request is, can you verify with us your commitment to Jesus Christ?
Doctor David Spoon:Now you might be thinking, are you expecting much of a response?
Doctor David Spoon:Nope.
Doctor David Spoon:But that doesn't mean we can't ask, right?
Doctor David Spoon:You don't know if you don't ask, right?
Doctor David Spoon:So we asked, sent it to both.
Doctor David Spoon:And both, by the way, both campaigns acknowledged receiving it.
Doctor David Spoon:Free interview.
Doctor David Spoon:They have a little bit of time just so they can demonstrate their connection, their commitment to Jesus Christ.
Doctor David Spoon:That's right.
Doctor David Spoon:I think that's a good idea.
Doctor David Spoon:In the meantime, we've got lots of things going on, lots of very cool things.
Doctor David Spoon:But I think I want to just give a quick shout out to our very own Jeanette.
Doctor David Spoon:I accidentally gave her a kind of a bad little statement yesterday.
Doctor David Spoon:Jeanette called in, answered a trivia question, and I called her bro.
Doctor David Spoon:And I know Jeanette.
Doctor David Spoon:Jeanette and I have gone back and forth in texting for eight, nine months.
Doctor David Spoon:And so I apologize to her over the weekend.
Doctor David Spoon:And she, in her graciousness, extended mercy and forgiveness to me immediately.
Doctor David Spoon:So I wanted to say thank you, Jeanette.
Doctor David Spoon:Cause that was very kind of you and I appreciate it.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay.
Doctor David Spoon:All right, now, we do have somebody on the phone.
Doctor David Spoon:Let's go ahead and send them on through.
Doctor David Spoon:Knock, knock.
Doctor David Spoon:This is David.
Doctor David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Brother Ace:This is your brother, Ace.
Brother Ace:Ace Elliott.
Doctor David Spoon:Brother Ace, my brother.
Doctor David Spoon:How are you?
Brother Ace:Not too good.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay.
Doctor David Spoon:What's going on?
Brother Ace:I'm fighting the battle of life and death.
Brother Ace:And I want to be like Paul.
Brother Ace:I want you to pray, not for healing, but to take me to the Lord today so that I can go home and be there and better off there than I am here.
Brother Ace:And I appreciate that.
Brother Ace:Appreciate getting home.
Brother Ace:It's been a battle, and I don't want to fight no more battles in my life.
Doctor David Spoon:All right, my brother.
Brother Ace:All of you that want to be healed, I hope you're healed.
Brother Ace:But I just want to go home.
Brother Ace:So pray for me to get home.
Doctor David Spoon:Do you want to pray for you right now?
Brother Ace:Yeah.
Brother Ace:To get home.
Brother Ace:I appreciate.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, let's pray right now.
Brother Ace:I'm so.
Doctor David Spoon:You ready?
Brother Ace:Yes.
Brother Ace:Go ahead.
Doctor David Spoon:All right, let's pray.
Doctor David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
Doctor David Spoon:We lift up our brother ace.
Doctor David Spoon:Our heart breaks because he's our brother and we love him.
Doctor David Spoon:But, Lord, you know what he needs best?
Doctor David Spoon:Not us, sir.
Doctor David Spoon:We want you to touch him and heal him.
Doctor David Spoon:But, Lord, you know what he wants?
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to see you face to face.
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to push past all the rubbish.
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to push past all the garbage.
Doctor David Spoon:To be.
Doctor David Spoon:To depart and be with you is far better.
Doctor David Spoon:And that's what he wants, Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to be with you.
Brother Ace:Yes.
Doctor David Spoon:And he wants his timing to be perfect and connected to you.
Doctor David Spoon:And we ask for that very thing.
Doctor David Spoon:And instead of anything else, Lord, we ask that he would hear the trumpet, he would hear the angels.
Doctor David Spoon:He would see the angels.
Doctor David Spoon:He would see the city, he would see the gold.
Doctor David Spoon:And his heart would be filled with joy and laughter and just the glory that comes from you.
Brother Ace:Hallelujah.
Doctor David Spoon:We want you to bless our brother by bringing him so close to you.
Doctor David Spoon:He never has to shed another tear.
Brother Ace:Amen.
Doctor David Spoon:He never has to feel another moment.
Doctor David Spoon:We ask you, Lord, to be the king of his existence.
Brother Ace:Yes.
Doctor David Spoon:To see his glory and to just bring him to you.
Doctor David Spoon:Lord, we ask you to love our brother deeply.
Doctor David Spoon:We ask you to encourage him and help him and fill him with fullness of peace between now and that moment, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior, amen.
Doctor David Spoon:Amen.
Doctor David Spoon:And amen.
Brother Ace:Amen.
Brother Ace:Thank you.
Doctor David Spoon:Thank you, my brother.
Doctor David Spoon:We love you, brother.
Doctor David Spoon:We love you and we want to hear for you.
Doctor David Spoon:Keep me posted.
Doctor David Spoon:If the Lord takes you, just smile as you're heading over, just smile and just remember, I'll see you soon enough.
Doctor David Spoon:I'll see you soon enough.
Brother Ace:Thank you.
Doctor David Spoon:God bless you.
Doctor David Spoon:Bye bye.
Doctor David Spoon:All right.
Doctor David Spoon:Brother Ace asking for his grace, asking for his release, asking for his opportunity and his time.
Doctor David Spoon:And, you know, those are just exactly.
Doctor David Spoon:His heart is just.
Doctor David Spoon:He just wants more of the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, it's not, there's nothing complex about this.
Doctor David Spoon:You either really believe this stuff or you don't.
Doctor David Spoon:I remember when my brother and I became christians and then my dad passed away when I was 20.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, so you're talking about 43 years ago my dad passed away and we were in the room, my brother and I, and we were just looking at each other, going this right here at this moment, this is our faith.
Doctor David Spoon:We either believe or we don't that this is about going to Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:And I want you to know something.
Doctor David Spoon:I want you to just be aware of this.
Doctor David Spoon:You know, you can't tell the Lord, you know, Bible says it's appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment.
Doctor David Spoon:God has an appointment, nothing.
Doctor David Spoon:I know you do this, you do this.
Doctor David Spoon:You can live for this.
Doctor David Spoon:This, this.
Doctor David Spoon:Nothing's changing your appointment.
Doctor David Spoon:Nothing.
Doctor David Spoon:Nobody.
Doctor David Spoon:It's absolute rubbish.
Doctor David Spoon:From the dust we have risen and the dust we will go back to the earth, but our spirit will go back unto God.
Doctor David Spoon:And so here is the key for our brother ace, that you are praying that God would just surround him with comfort and grace.
Doctor David Spoon:You hear me?
Doctor David Spoon:This is a man who wants to sit at the feet of his king.
Doctor David Spoon:Can you, can you say no to that?
Doctor David Spoon:Oh, king of the universe, touch our brother ace.
Doctor David Spoon:Let him see your face.
Doctor David Spoon:All we can do, Lord, is petition you.
Doctor David Spoon:All we can do is ask you.
Doctor David Spoon:All we can do is seek you.
Doctor David Spoon:You are in charge.
Doctor David Spoon:A man's days, they're numbered and you have the number.
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to be done.
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to come home.
Doctor David Spoon:If you're not going to completely revive him, then revive him in your presence.
Doctor David Spoon:We love that, brother.
Doctor David Spoon:We ask you to just bless that brother.
Doctor David Spoon:We ask you to encourage him.
Doctor David Spoon:We ask you to comfort him.
Doctor David Spoon:We ask for that in Jesus name.
Doctor David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Doctor David Spoon:Now, how deep and profound is what the Lord is trying to show us.
Doctor David Spoon:Now, you don't assist God.
Doctor David Spoon:Let me just change that goofy little theology.
Doctor David Spoon:People have tried to drop in every time people assist God, like Abraham and Sarah tried to assist God by having Ishmael.
Doctor David Spoon:It creates an Ishmael.
Doctor David Spoon:Bad call, right?
Doctor David Spoon:You don't do that.
Doctor David Spoon:You surrender to God.
Doctor David Spoon:You know, there's so many things that we sit there and we think that they're so important.
Doctor David Spoon:Do you know, I want to.
Doctor David Spoon:I want to point this out.
Doctor David Spoon:Do you know the priority?
Doctor David Spoon:Well, you know, you got to pay this on time.
Doctor David Spoon:You got to take care of this.
Doctor David Spoon:You got to take care of this.
Doctor David Spoon:None of that stuff.
Doctor David Spoon:In the face of eternity, you're worried about making a car payment.
Doctor David Spoon:You're worried about making a payment for renter, for your mortgage.
Doctor David Spoon:In the face of eternity, when you know that some point you're going to die and face God.
Doctor David Spoon:Your concern is your bills.
Doctor David Spoon:Man, do we need help, man, do we need to get our priorities straight?
Doctor David Spoon:But seek ye first the kingdom of God.
Doctor David Spoon:Jesus said.
Doctor David Spoon:That's what he said.
Doctor David Spoon:That's what we're called to do.
Doctor David Spoon:Now.
Doctor David Spoon:I think we have somebody else.
Doctor David Spoon:Is somebody else on the line?
Doctor David Spoon:Is that case?
Doctor David Spoon:Let's go ahead and send them on through to see where the Lord takes us.
Doctor David Spoon:Folks, we don't know where it's going.
Doctor David Spoon:Let's see.
Doctor David Spoon:Knock, knock.
Doctor David Spoon:This is David.
Doctor David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Miss Robertson:Been a long time, David.
Doctor David Spoon:Is this.
Doctor David Spoon:Is this parking lot lady?
Miss Robertson:No, not at all.
Miss Robertson:No, this is miss.
Miss Robertson:Robertson.
Doctor David Spoon:Miss Robertson, how are you?
Miss Robertson:Oh, David, I am so full of the Holy Spirit over here.
Miss Robertson:When the man of God called and you prayed for him.
Miss Robertson:Oh, my God, the anointed.
Miss Robertson:Oh, I felt every bit of it.
Miss Robertson:I'm like, jesus, David, I'm going to tell you what my brother said that recently passed, and you prayed for me several times.
Miss Robertson:He said, keep doing it.
Miss Robertson:I'm telling you the same thing, brother in Christ Jesus, keep doing what God has called you to do, no matter what.
Miss Robertson:Do you hear me?
Miss Robertson:Time will be no more.
Miss Robertson:I'm gonna fly over here just for the anointing.
Miss Robertson:Coming all the way through the radio.
Miss Robertson:Oh, my God, David.
Miss Robertson:But anyway, let's call.
Miss Robertson:Let me pipe down here a little bit.
Miss Robertson:Just a little bit.
Miss Robertson:You pray also for my grandson.
Miss Robertson:He's in the navy.
Miss Robertson:He's over there in the war.
Miss Robertson:But you know what?
Miss Robertson:God is in control of everything.
Miss Robertson:And I heard you when you said, oh, worrying about this.
Miss Robertson:Worrying about this.
Miss Robertson:Your soul, your salvation is what needs to be concerned about.
Miss Robertson:And, David, the lonely light they gonna see is the light they see in thee.
Miss Robertson:Amen.
Doctor David Spoon:Amen.
Doctor David Spoon:You know, you are a living blessing.
Doctor David Spoon:And I want to say that to misses Robinson.
Doctor David Spoon:I want you to hear.
Doctor David Spoon:I want you to hear what I had to say.
Doctor David Spoon:Your heart, your spirit, the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:Your precious in the kingdom of God.
Doctor David Spoon:And the Lord loves that you get it and that you give it.
Doctor David Spoon:And that people are blessed because of it.
Doctor David Spoon:Hallelujah.
Doctor David Spoon:That's so it's like, that's the holy spirit.
Doctor David Spoon:That's the stuff that we love, right?
Miss Robertson:Hallelujah.
Doctor David Spoon:Yes, that's the stuff.
Doctor David Spoon:And so what we do is we're going to pray that protection.
Doctor David Spoon:We're praying that protection even again for your grants.
Doctor David Spoon:Just to cover that family, lord.
Doctor David Spoon:Angels at the left and at the right.
Doctor David Spoon:At the north, the south, the east and west.
Doctor David Spoon:Protecting the very people of God.
Doctor David Spoon:Your word teaches us that you have your angels in camp about those that fear you.
Doctor David Spoon:And that we ask that you would have your angels protecting her.
Doctor David Spoon:And all of us, Lord, who call upon your name.
Doctor David Spoon:That protection would be powerful and would be heavy and would be life changing.
Doctor David Spoon:Keep your servants aware of our protections that come from you and your army, o Lord of hosts, Lord of the armies of heaven.
Doctor David Spoon:That's what we pray in Jesus name.
Doctor David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Doctor David Spoon:Thank you.
Miss Robertson:Thank you.
Miss Robertson:Thank you.
Miss Robertson:And I'm going to get off of here and let you love on someone else like you always do.
Miss Robertson:Let's see you, David.
Miss Robertson:Peace.
Doctor David Spoon:God bless you, sister.
Doctor David Spoon:Bye bye.
Doctor David Spoon:Well, not anything that we planned.
Doctor David Spoon:I don't know why anybody would be surprised on this show at this point right now.
Doctor David Spoon:I can't wait to.
Doctor David Spoon:We're going to be doing Colossians.
Doctor David Spoon:I'm going to show you something in Colossians.
Doctor David Spoon:That's in the end of chapter one and first part of chapter two.
Doctor David Spoon:Part two.
Doctor David Spoon:That shows you that radio ministry fellowship is real.
Doctor David Spoon:You're thinking, that can't be in Colossians.
Doctor David Spoon:Wanna bet?
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, I'm just excited to teach you that.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay?
Doctor David Spoon:I just want you to be aware of that.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's the thing.
Doctor David Spoon:There are times where it's hard for every one of us.
Doctor David Spoon:Will one of our faithful listeners, hey, every day is spiritual warfare day.
Doctor David Spoon:That is absolutely true.
Doctor David Spoon:He's right about that.
Doctor David Spoon:Every day that we go through, there's this war.
Doctor David Spoon:But every day that we go through this war, there's this commander who's in charge of all things and nothing escapes his notice.
Doctor David Spoon:Let me repeat that so that you do not forget that nothing escapes the notice of God.
Doctor David Spoon:Nothing that happens in your life.
Doctor David Spoon:Nothing is so insignificant that he is unaware.
Doctor David Spoon:Nothing, in fact, just so we can be on the same page theologically.
Doctor David Spoon:To be omniscient means to know everything.
Doctor David Spoon:And so he is, the Lord God Almighty is omniscient.
Doctor David Spoon:He knows everything, everything that's going on with you and I.
Doctor David Spoon:And every time we trip up, we get caught up in these little things that are thrown at our feet, these little darts, these little arrows, these things that get thrown at us.
Doctor David Spoon:We are supposed to put on the shield of faith.
Doctor David Spoon:And when I teach this, sometimes when I'm in a church, I try to use this illustration.
Doctor David Spoon:I think it's one of the coolest things in the world.
Doctor David Spoon:The devil sits there and shoots flaming arrows at you.
Doctor David Spoon:And do you know that the shield of faith is water in that warfare?
Doctor David Spoon:So that when that fiery arrow comes in, it gets extinguished before it gets to you?
Doctor David Spoon:Because the shield of faith has a water component.
Doctor David Spoon:Think about that.
Doctor David Spoon:That arrow comes in, out, gone, flame is gone.
Doctor David Spoon:I got nothing, I got no worries on that.
Doctor David Spoon:That just, just didn't even touch me.
Doctor David Spoon:And that's how the power of faith operates.
Doctor David Spoon:I want you to think sometimes, think of yourself having a shield, and it's like a water shield, and the enemy shoots a dart at you and you hold up your faith to cover yourself and it quenches the dart of the enemy and you just go, ha.
Doctor David Spoon:Down it goes.
Doctor David Spoon:That's the power, that's the blessing, that's the grace.
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, you have, you have such protections, such commitment and faithfulness.
Doctor David Spoon:Those are some of those worship songs that we sing.
Doctor David Spoon:They're just so good.
Doctor David Spoon:Jesus has never failed us.
Doctor David Spoon:He will never fail you.
Doctor David Spoon:Yes, you have failed him, but he will never fail you.
Doctor David Spoon:He's always true to himself, he will always take care of you.
Doctor David Spoon:And when all this stuff is going on, you can see all this stuff that's going on, it's crazy.
Doctor David Spoon:You can see the dividing lines in this world is getting more and more intense.
Doctor David Spoon:Something I mentioned a couple years ago.
Doctor David Spoon:It's getting more and more divisional, more and more sheep and goat.
Doctor David Spoon:Not hard to figure out, right?
Doctor David Spoon:But your king, your king is your dad, and he's got you.
Doctor David Spoon:And there is nothing that we go through, no encounter ever, that has slipped by him.
Doctor David Spoon:And yes, I.
Doctor David Spoon:Oh, I acheved for people that hurt just like you do.
Doctor David Spoon:I ache when I hurt.
Doctor David Spoon:I ache when anybody hurts, when my wife's hurt.
Doctor David Spoon:Oh my goodness, I think I have whatever that thing is where you get the same thing the person has or something.
Doctor David Spoon:It's like that's.
Doctor David Spoon:God loves us more, God connects to us greater.
Doctor David Spoon:I just want you to hear what I'm saying.
Doctor David Spoon:Nothing in your life, nothing, not a feeling, not a bill, not a relationship, is greater than this commitment that God has given you and I to spend eternity with us.
Doctor David Spoon:How many of you got family members?
Doctor David Spoon:You like to see them on thanksgiving and that's about it.
Doctor David Spoon:That one dinner, that'll last me for another year, right?
Doctor David Spoon:God loves us so much, he wants to spend all the time with us.
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to have our relationship.
Doctor David Spoon:Listen to this.
Doctor David Spoon:Go past time so that there is no limit.
Doctor David Spoon:That's how much he loves you.
Doctor David Spoon:And oh, what a moment.
Doctor David Spoon:Oh, what a moment when the trumpet blows, when it's done, what a moment it's going to be when we say hallelujah.
Doctor David Spoon:Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Doctor David Spoon:Come for us individually, come for us corporately, come return.
Doctor David Spoon:Let the return manifest that we might dance, that we might laugh, that we might cry tears of joyous for your presence just to sweep over us and everybody around us just like chickens with their heads cut off.
Doctor David Spoon:Not a clue.
Doctor David Spoon:They don't care.
Doctor David Spoon:They don't want a strong delusion sent till they believe a lie at some point, Lord, we acknowledge your testimony that you have given regarding Jesus Christ.
Doctor David Spoon:We say yes and amen.
Doctor David Spoon:We receive it, we rejoice in it, we are blessed by it, and we will live by it.
Doctor David Spoon:And nothing on earth will pull us away from our citizenship in heaven.
Doctor David Spoon:And we look for the glory.
Doctor David Spoon:We anticipate the glory.
Doctor David Spoon:We look with hope and expectation.
Doctor David Spoon:Manifest your presence in all of our lives.
Doctor David Spoon:And until that trumpet does blow for us, Lord, let there be more of your presence in our lives, because we know you are the answer, period.
Doctor David Spoon:And nothing else is important compared to you.
Doctor David Spoon:We love you, Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:We worship you.
Doctor David Spoon:We pray to you, Father, in the name of the Son, with help from the Holy Spirit.
Doctor David Spoon:And we say amen and amen.
Doctor David Spoon:All right, folks, gonna take a short break, then come back.
Doctor David Spoon:You're listening to the David spoon experience right here on KAam, 770 the truth station here in Texas.
Doctor David Spoon:Short break.
Doctor David Spoon:We'll be back.
Doctor David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
Doctor David Spoon:Galatians, chapter five, verse one.
Doctor David Spoon:This is one of the first verses in my christian faith that I learned, which is, you know, you don't think about it, but when I first became a Christian, people would share this verse with me.
Doctor David Spoon:I didn't know why.
Doctor David Spoon:I.
Doctor David Spoon:I was going to find out why, because God was going to set me free from a lot of drug use.
Doctor David Spoon:But I didn't know then what was going on.
Doctor David Spoon:I was like, oh, I keep hearing this verse.
Doctor David Spoon:Galatians five one, the freedom for freedom.
Doctor David Spoon:Christ has set us free.
Doctor David Spoon:Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Doctor David Spoon:So now in our society, you say the word slavery, and people start going, and then everybody starts freaking out.
Doctor David Spoon:You know what?
Doctor David Spoon:We're never going to change what the gospel is.
Doctor David Spoon:And the gospel is the reality truth.
Doctor David Spoon:We're not going to alter it for culture.
Doctor David Spoon:We're not going to say it differently so people aren't offended.
Doctor David Spoon:If you're offended, turn the radio off.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay?
Doctor David Spoon:That's your answer.
Doctor David Spoon:You've got fingers.
Doctor David Spoon:Use them.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's our you got the ability to turn it on.
Doctor David Spoon:You got the ability to turn it off.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
Doctor David Spoon:Every one of us, every one of us before Jesus Christ was in bondage to sin, every one of us, now that we are in Jesus Christ, we are free from the penalty of that sin.
Doctor David Spoon:And the Lord is working in us the process to overcome that sin.
Doctor David Spoon:Practically.
Doctor David Spoon:We've talked about it multiple times.
Doctor David Spoon:You understand salvation from a little bit of a smart, not smart, multiple scripture point of view.
Doctor David Spoon:Scriptures talk about salvation being past tense.
Doctor David Spoon:Scripture talks about salvation being present tense, and scripture talks about salvation being future tense.
Doctor David Spoon:The only way that could happen is if.
Doctor David Spoon:Watch this.
Doctor David Spoon:Salvation is past tense, present tense, and future tense.
Doctor David Spoon:So the only way it can happen is because that's what it says.
Doctor David Spoon:And so in that, we need to understand that from the past point of view, we are free from the penalty of sin.
Doctor David Spoon:Yay.
Doctor David Spoon:Currently, we're going through what is called sanctification, where we're being delivered.
Doctor David Spoon:We're delivered from the power of sin.
Doctor David Spoon:And we're learning in our own lives we don't have to live for sin.
Doctor David Spoon:And then eventually, when we're with the Lord forever and ever, we will be free from the presence of sin, and there won't be any evil, any bad, any yucky.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, cool.
Doctor David Spoon:In the meantime, while the justification, while the penalty for sin is done, while the freedom is there, the sanctification process is the one where he makes you look like Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:Now that he's pronounced you to be like Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:And that's the one you got to fight through.
Doctor David Spoon:That's the one that you have to go, you know what?
Doctor David Spoon:I'm free.
Doctor David Spoon:I just don't have to do that.
Doctor David Spoon:I don't have to.
Doctor David Spoon:That, therefore, becomes a responsibility, because the scripture says, stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery, which means that you can, but if you do, it'll be your choice.
