02-04-2025 part 2: The Assurance of Abundance: Understanding God's Generosity in Christ
Dr. David Spoon elucidates the profound generosity of God, emphasizing the remarkable truth that if God did not withhold His own Son, Jesus Christ, how could we doubt His willingness to provide us with all other necessities? This pivotal assertion, derived from Romans 8:32, serves as the cornerstone of our discussion, inviting listeners to reflect on the nature of divine generosity and our own perceptions of God’s intentions toward us. Spoon articulates that our struggles often arise from a misconception of God as a figure who withholds blessings, rather than a loving Father who desires our well-being. As we delve deeper into this episode, we will explore the implications of this divine generosity and how it shapes our faith and understanding of God’s character, ultimately encouraging us to embrace a more confident view of His provision in our lives. Join us as we unpack these themes and seek to realign our faith with the truth of scripture.
The dialogue unfolds in a profound exploration of Romans chapter 8, particularly verse 32, which articulates a pivotal theological assertion regarding God’s generosity. The speaker emphasizes the notion that God’s willingness to sacrifice His own Son is the ultimate demonstration of His commitment to humanity's welfare. The central question posed is whether, having given the best, God would withhold anything else that is beneficial to us. This leads to a profound reflection on the nature of faith and doubt; we often trust in God's power to act but question His desire to do so. The speaker challenges this perspective, asserting that such doubt diminishes our experience of God's generosity. Furthermore, the discussion transitions to the role of Jesus, seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for believers, which reinforces the assurance of God's continual support and care. The overarching message is one of encouragement, inviting listeners to embrace a faith that recognizes God's unwavering generosity and the depth of His love, which is epitomized by the sacrificial act of Jesus Christ. Thus, we are called not to view God as withholding but as abundantly generous, willing to provide for our needs as we align with His will.
Takeaways:
- God's remarkable generosity is epitomized by His sacrifice of Jesus Christ for humanity's benefit, establishing a profound relationship with His creation.
- The essence of faith lies not only in believing that God can provide, but also in trusting that He desires to do so for our welfare.
- Our perception of God's generosity can often be clouded by doubt; we may believe He can help, yet question His willingness to do so.
- Understanding that Jesus not only died for us but continues to intercede on our behalf reveals the depth of God's ongoing commitment to us.

And now for something completely different.
Speaker A:Here's what's coming up this hour on Today's Experience.
Speaker A:It's totally terrific, totally transforming and totally triumphant Tuesday as we find unity from the Father, through the Son and by the Spirit, all for the glory of God Almighty.
Speaker A:I did this intro last week, but we didn't get to it, so.
Speaker A:So this week we will.
Speaker A:It's a marvelous time as we are in Romans chapter 8, picking it back up in verse 32.
Speaker A:This is where the passage truly just is phenomenal.
Speaker A:The word of God in chapter 8, verse 32 said, Since God did not spare even his own son, but gave him up for us all.
Speaker A:The first declaration of this verse highlights God's willingness to sacrifice.
Speaker A:We need to think of it in these terms.
Speaker A:And I said this last week.
Speaker A:God is like a person sacrificing their son on the behalf of somebody else's welfare because they love that person.
Speaker A:Next.
Speaker A:God's so generous.
Speaker A:He gave up his son for us.
Speaker A:How then will he not also provide for us in all other things?
Speaker A:So what's the problem, Dave?
Speaker A:The problem lies on our end.
Speaker A:We often see God as withholding.
Speaker A:We have faith that God can, but doubt that God wants to.
Speaker A:Did you get that?
Speaker A:I want you to hear that.
Speaker A:We have faith that God can, but we doubt that he wants to.
Speaker A:Hmm.
Speaker A:Faith, doubt.
Speaker A:Didn't we just talk about that?
Speaker A:That's the kind of faith we operate with.
Speaker A:And because it we experience less of his generosity because we're wiping out our faith.
Speaker A:Finally, in verse 34, he explains that after making us right with him through Jesus redeeming work, Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding and praying for us.
Speaker A:He's seated in the highest place of honor, right next to the Father.
Speaker A:He leans over to whisper on our behalf.
Speaker A:Dad, that's my buddy Dave.
Speaker A:It doesn't get any better than that, having Jesus speak on your behalf.
Speaker A:Jesus speaks to the Father for you.
Speaker A:His ministry for you never ends.
Speaker B:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
Speaker B:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
Speaker B:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
Speaker B:The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
Speaker B:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
Speaker B:He joined KAAM and this radio program began.
Speaker B:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:Lessons for Surviving, Living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations.
Speaker A:Hold on now.
Speaker A:Spiritual observations.
Speaker A:Hold now, hold now.
Speaker A:My life's insanities, which I'm going to share in a little bit.
Speaker A:One of my latest life's insanities and oy vey, so much more.
Speaker A:Now remember, it's not professional radio.
Speaker A:It's just radio.
Speaker A:So just remember that.
Speaker A:It's radio.
Speaker A:Relax.
Speaker A:But we're asking you, what do you think?
Speaker A:How you doing?
Speaker A:How can we help?
Speaker A:You can email us during the show.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or you can call us on the telephone.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Talking to Jammin Jacob is like sharing a cheat meal on your diet with your favorite person.
Speaker C:Thank you, David.
Speaker C:Happy Tuesday.
Speaker A:Happy Tuesday to you, my friend.
Speaker A:I did not ask you.
Speaker A:I don't think I asked you yesterday, did you have on the weekend any kind of special foods?
Speaker A:Did I ask you that?
Speaker A:I don't think I did.
Speaker C:I don't think so.
Speaker C:And I don't think I did either.
Speaker C:Any special foods?
Speaker A:I had banana.
Speaker A:Banana split ice cream.
Speaker A:I can't beat that.
Speaker C:That does sound special.
Speaker A:It is.
Speaker A:It was really special.
Speaker A:I'm just gonna say, see, cause of all the hard work that I'm doing, then I give myself that cheat meal.
Speaker A:Unfortunately, sometimes the cheat meal seems to extend its hours.
Speaker A:I haven't quite figured out how to stop doing that.
Speaker A:It's a cheat meal.
Speaker A:Breakfast, lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Anyway, I just thought I'd ask you.
Speaker A:So you did have a nice weekend though, right?
Speaker C:Yes, I did have a nice weekend.
Speaker C:Had a couple of days off.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:A couple days off.
Speaker A:No real football.
Speaker A:Just saying.
Speaker C:No, it's funny.
Speaker C:Yesterday you walked in and you said you didn't.
Speaker C:I can't remember.
Speaker C:I think you said you didn't watch the game.
Speaker C:And I was thinking, what game?
Speaker C:And then you said the Pro bowl.
Speaker C:And I was like, oh, yeah, that was on.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Not much of a sports weekend there.
Speaker A:Although.
Speaker A:Although I am following the Red Wings.
Speaker A:They are.
Speaker A:They've won six in a row.
Speaker A:So I'm.
Speaker A:I'm pretty happy.
Speaker D:Oh, wow.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:So you might hear Me speak off on that just a little bit.
Speaker A:I'm just warning you ahead of time.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker C:We had the big game Sunday.
Speaker A:Yeah, there's a lot going.
Speaker A:Yeah, we do have a big game Sunday.
Speaker A:We'll have to talk about that, too.
Speaker A:And if you're rooting for Kansas City, we love ribs, but that's what we love about Kansas City.
Speaker A:All right, so we'll move on from there.
Speaker A:Bottom line, why would you text us?
Speaker A:Why would you call us?
Speaker A:Why would you send an email?
Speaker A:Could be for a praise report.
Speaker A:Can be for a prayer request.
Speaker A:We're here to pray for you.
Speaker A:Could be for something you just want to share.
Speaker A:Could be an answer to Bible trivia.
Speaker A:If you don't get this one, I'm going to be kind of sad.
Speaker A:All right, here we go.
Speaker A:Here it goes.
Speaker A:Is the book of Uriah in the Old Testament, the New Testament, or neither?
Speaker A:Is the Book of Uriah in the Old Testament, the New Testament, or neither?
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:I got that, Nancy.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or you can send an email davidemustincrease.org before I do anything else, I wanna remind people about FEB buddies.
Speaker A:Like, FEB buddies.
Speaker A:What's that?
Speaker A:Feb buddies.
Speaker A:So in the month that lat preceded this, so in January, and then anytime through this month, if somebody calls or you hear about somebody, we're talking about somebody, something happens along those lines, anything like that.
Speaker A:We were just asking you to be sensitive to the Lord and perhaps the Lord will have you pick up a February buddy, a person that you can pray for throughout the month.
Speaker A:See, that's just a good thing.
Speaker A:You know what I'm saying?
Speaker A:So it's not making a requirement saying you have to pray every single day, but that becomes your Feb buddy.
Speaker A:And when you're praying, you try to remember, not just about you, about other people.
Speaker A:And then your FEB buddy comes to mind, your February buddy.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:We encourage that.
Speaker A:We think it's a really cool thing.
Speaker A:So please consider it highly.
Speaker A:We do have somebody on the line that is ready to answer the trivia question.
Speaker A:So let's send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker E:Hey, good afternoon, David.
Speaker E:This is Curtis, my brother.
Speaker A:Hey, Curtis.
Speaker A:How are you, bro?
Speaker E:Man, I'm doing fine.
Speaker E:You know, I had the answer to the other trivia question but, man, I did not have the heart to interrupt your message.
Speaker E:It was a great message a while ago.
Speaker A:Thank you, brother.
Speaker A:That's very, very kind of you to say that.
Speaker A:So that will give you instant credit to this one, but I don't think you'll need it.
Speaker A:So I'm just pointing that out to you.
Speaker A:I feel in my heart you're going to nail this down.
Speaker A:I don't know what it is.
Speaker A:Oh, I know.
Speaker A:I'm smart.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:I'm pretty.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:I just know you're going to get it.
Speaker A:Here we go, bro.
Speaker A:I'll set you up for it.
Speaker A:You can knock it out of the park.
Speaker A:And is the book of Uriah in the Old Testament, New Testament, or neither?
Speaker E:It is absolutely not a part of the Bible.
Speaker E:So neither one of them.
Speaker A:Neither one of them is the correct answer.
Speaker A:And this is how deep our show is, you know, now some people will know Uriah as Uriah the Hittite, who David slept with his wife.
Speaker A:That was not a cool deal.
Speaker A:And then he had that guy assassinated.
Speaker A:Very uncool.
Speaker A:But then Steve wanted to make sure we understand that.
Speaker A:Also, Uriah was a band called Uriah Heap.
Speaker A:So we'll just leave that there.
Speaker A:This is our people, right?
Speaker A:It's like, wow.
Speaker A:So funny.
Speaker A:We are such a weird people.
Speaker A:How are you, by the way?
Speaker A:How are things for you?
Speaker A:How art thou doing, man?
Speaker E:I'm doing great.
Speaker E:My brother and I appreciate the prayers the other day for my friend Robin.
Speaker E:She's.
Speaker E:She's taking it one day at a time.
Speaker E:And I tell her that each day, you know, God has a different plan for her and just kind of hang in there, and that's what she's doing.
Speaker E:So I've been praying all day lot for her lately.
Speaker A:So that's a good person for people to pick up.
Speaker A:As a fed buddy is Robin to just briefly tell them what's.
Speaker A:What's going on as much as you can, just as a capsule.
Speaker E:Well, she's.
Speaker E:About a year ago, she had a concussion and they put her on some controlled substances.
Speaker E:Now they're trying to taper her off of those.
Speaker E:She's having a lot of issues doing that.
Speaker E:And she's been bedridden for a year.
Speaker E:She's a single mom with four kids.
Speaker E:And on top of everything else, she just lost her job.
Speaker E:So she's in kind of a.
Speaker E:A dark place right now.
Speaker E:And I've been trying to keep her spirits lifted as much as possible.
Speaker E:And I tell her that, you know, it's all part of God's will.
Speaker E:We know that.
Speaker E:And I tell her God makes beautiful things out of broken things and to just hang in there and keep the faith, you know?
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:And I want people to pick that up.
Speaker A:So that Robin needs that prayer.
Speaker A:She needs your help, your intercessory prayers to pull it back up.
Speaker A:Listen, the Lord turns the morning, the downness, the difficulty into awesome sauce.
Speaker A:And what we need to remember is God can take a moment in your life and bring that miracle in that moment and change everything else that moves forward.
Speaker A:And that's what we're looking for.
Speaker C:Absolutely.
Speaker A:So we need to have.
Speaker A:Absolutely.
Speaker E:In the blink of an eye.
Speaker A:Exactly right.
Speaker A:So we need to have that faith and not have doubt, but have that faith that God will, in fact, do that.
Speaker A:So please be praying for him.
Speaker A:And please don't forget to pray for Curtis.
Speaker A:Excellent additional Feb.
Speaker A:Buddy.
Speaker A:I'm just saying, letting you know.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Just throwing it out there.
Speaker A:Excellent job, bud.
Speaker E:Thank you, David.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:God bless you.
Speaker A:Thank you, Dave.
Speaker E:Have a blessed day, my brother.
Speaker A:Bye bye, Bye, bye.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Excellent job by our brother.
Speaker A:Phenomenal.
Speaker A:Phenomenal.
Speaker A:Phenomenal.
Speaker A:Phenomenal.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's phenomenal.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Now I got two ways I go.
Speaker A:I got to do DNA.
Speaker A:I'm going to wait on DNA because I'm going to get a little bit in the teaching.
Speaker A:Then I'm gonna do the DNA.
Speaker A:And then after, I'm gonna share with you, probably for the first time that I can remember.
Speaker A:I don't do this a lot.
Speaker A:In Texas, I had a life insanity issue happen yesterday.
Speaker A:And it hasn't happened in a while.
Speaker A:So I'm excited to share it.
Speaker A:Not that anybody will think it's spiritual.
Speaker A:Cause it's not.
Speaker A:But it is funny to say that.
Speaker A:But in the meantime, let's dive into the word of God.
Speaker A:Cause I don't want you to miss this.
Speaker A:Romans 8, 32.
Speaker A:Since God did not spare even his own son, but gave him up for us all, won't God, who gave us Christ also give us everything else?
Speaker A:Now, what people will do who are kind of oriented not to be led by the Spirit, is say everything else.
Speaker A:I get the lotto.
Speaker A:I get Cracker Jacks, I get Slurpees, I get free pizzas for life.
Speaker A:I get a Lamborghini.
Speaker A:And you know that these are the kind of things that when people take a verse and they move it out of the fullness of the context, we are connecting this to how wonderful God is and how sacrificial God is.
Speaker A:And how God will work everything for good.
Speaker A:And the point of the text is to say, if God has demonstrated his generosity by sacrificing Jesus Christ, then how could we even wonder if it's his intent to make everything become good?
Speaker A:How could we even wonder?
Speaker A:In other words, it should be something we assume since he's already giving us the best, how was he just going to, oh, here's the best, but now I'm not going to give you anything but leftovers.
Speaker A:Like, that's the wrong premise, that's the wrong approach, and we need to think of that altogether differently.
Speaker A:So here's God and I said this in the earlier intro.
Speaker A:It's like a person sacrificing their son on the behalf of somebody else's welfare.
Speaker A:If he's going to do that, he must really care about our welfare.
Speaker A:That's the point.
Speaker A:Not our lust fare, not our whatever we want.
Speaker A:But he cares about that we're doing well.
Speaker A:He cares about.
Speaker A:You know, it's funny because when Jesus was talking about prayer and he was talking about people asking, he.
Speaker A:He makes mention that if a son asks for bread, the father's not going to give him a scorpion.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:But if the thing you ask for from the Lord, let me say this, is going to eventually bite you, then you shouldn't have that either, right?
Speaker A:You should have the bread that's good for you, that gives you health, that gives you nourishment, that is for your benefit, that is for you and your welfare.
Speaker A:God will answer all of those prayers.
Speaker A:If you're asking for something that's not going to help your welfare, pull it back, Sparky.
Speaker A:God's not obligated.
Speaker A:In fact, you go into James, you find out some people ask and don't receive because they ask amiss, wanting to spend it on their lustful pleasures.
Speaker A:Hey, guess what?
Speaker A:Prayer is not getting answered.
Speaker A:That one.
Speaker A:You understand?
Speaker A:But if it's for your welfare, and it has to do with you connecting to God, and it has to do with things working out together for good, it's a solid.
Speaker A:And it's like, well, how solid is it?
Speaker A:It's as solid as the reality that God gave us Jesus.
Speaker A:That's how solid it is.
Speaker A:So what we need to do is move.
Speaker A:What's the word we want to say?
Speaker A:So if you're standing on maybe a yardstick, okay.
Speaker A:And you're kind of stuck in the middle of the yardstick, right?
Speaker A:So what is a yardstick?
Speaker A:Is that 30, is it 36 inches?
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Yardstick.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:You're standing on the 18 inch line, right?
Speaker A:Cause you're kind of in the middle.
Speaker A:Well, Maybe he will, maybe he won't.
Speaker A:Get out of that.
Speaker A:That's a lot of doubt.
Speaker A:That just proves there's doubt.
Speaker A:God will absolutely take care of you.
Speaker A:He will absolutely look out for your welfare.
Speaker A:He will absolutely help you move along.
Speaker A:He will absolutely get you the place you need to be.
Speaker A:No doubt about it.
Speaker A:And demonstrates that because he's willing to give you the best, best of the, best of the best.
Speaker A:So you never have to be afraid whether God will actually come through.
Speaker A:What he won't do is give you something that's going to bite you or hurt you, because he's not going to answer that unless he's going to use it to judge you.
Speaker A:Like Israel, when they ask for a king, some prayers maybe shouldn't be spoken.
Speaker A:My point is saying this.
Speaker A:God's generosity is.
Speaker A:Is demonstrated in the life of Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:You know, he died for you when you were an enemy of God.
Speaker A:That's amazing.
Speaker A:You were at odds.
Speaker A:Now still.
Speaker A:I love you.
Speaker A:Come on back through.
Speaker A:Come towards me.
Speaker A:That's how generous God is.
Speaker A:So we've got to stop this idea that God is.
Speaker A:And we've talked about it before, about God being the Grinch.
Speaker A:It's like, come on, he's not Santa Claus, but he's not the Grinch either.
Speaker A:So at least let's be honest, let's be truthful.
Speaker A:We often see God as withholding.
Speaker A:He's not withholding.
Speaker A:He's not going to give you something that is going to hurt you.
Speaker A:And he knows whether it will or won't.
Speaker A:Whether you and I know is irrelevant.
Speaker A:They say to the Lord, lord, you know what?
Speaker A:I want a million dollars.
Speaker A:I'll never take any other money from anybody else.
Speaker A:And we'll just do this, and then the ministry will just carry on.
Speaker A:What if the Lord's up there going, you get a million dollars, you're gonna do this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and you'll ruin everything.
Speaker A:I don't know that, but God would know that.
Speaker A:I'm not saying that's what would happen.
Speaker A:I'm just saying what if that is what would happen and he's just, no, the answer is no because it'll hurt you.
Speaker A:He answers, no, because he loves me.
Speaker A:See that difference?
Speaker A:Not because he's stingy.
Speaker A:See that difference?
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:All right, we'll take a short break, then come back.
Speaker A:We'll definitely do DNA, so don't freak out.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the true station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break.
Speaker A:Don't go anywhere.

Speaker B:Focus on the Family trauma specialist Tim Sanford.
Speaker F:People, as they try to sort this out, they go through this, they go through maybe a litany or a list in their mind and try to evaluate, well, you know, is this this and is this this?
Speaker F:And what you said right there is the key that the core of our strength, the core of our ability to go on yet for another day in the midst of what we would consider to be chaos, both socially political and in other realms, is the Lord.
Speaker F:I mean, the Lord gives us the ability until he blows that trumpet, we are not done.
Speaker G:Exactly.
Speaker G:And that's where we come back to people ask me, well again, the why, why, why questions that people all across the US Are asking.
Speaker G:And my best theological accurate answer I can give them is I don't know.
Speaker G:I don't stop there.
Speaker G:That is an accurate answer.
Speaker G:I I finished my answer then by saying here's what I do know.
Speaker G:I know that God is still on his throne.
Speaker G:I know that God knew what was going on.
Speaker G:I don't know why that.
Speaker G:Here's what I do know.
Speaker G:God is still a loving God.
Speaker G:He still is in charge.
Speaker G:Here's what I do know.
Speaker G:Here's what I do know here's what I do know.
Speaker H:The David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the truce station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's Ka Man 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Your next trivia question.
Speaker A:What color was the cloth draped over the Ark of the Covenant?
Speaker A:Numbers chapter 4, verses 5 through 7.
Speaker A:What color was the cloth draped over the Ark of the Covenant?
Speaker A:Was it white, red, gold, or blue?
Speaker A:What color was the cloth draped over the Ark of the Covenant?
Speaker A:Was it white, red, gold, or blue?
Speaker A:Numbers 4, 5, 7 would be your reference point.
Speaker A:If you think you know.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:White, red, gold, or blue?
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Now, we'll talk about variants of shades later.
Speaker A:In the meantime, we're gonna do our DNA.
Speaker A:D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Speaker A:I shouldn't have to explain it.
Speaker A:Just let me say that I shouldn't have to explain it, though.
Speaker A:I will explain it.
Speaker A:But I do think a part of me thinks I shouldn't have to explain it.
Speaker A:It is quite simply straightforward, this.
Speaker A:Without spending time in the Lord with the Lord on a daily basis, you are depriving yourself of the quality of life.
Speaker A:How about that?
Speaker A:You are depriving yourself out of the quality of life.
Speaker A:You're robbing yourself by not spending time with God.
Speaker A:Yikes.
Speaker A:That's a mean one, right?
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:Little bit mean.
Speaker A:Little bit mean.
Speaker A:That's okay.
Speaker A:That's all right.
Speaker A:Just making it simple, making it pure, making it easy.
Speaker A:We need to spend time daily with the Lord.
Speaker A:Don't rob yourself.
Speaker A:Don't rob yourself.
Speaker A:Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:Never be ashamed of what Jesus had to say.
Speaker A:I just would encourage you to read the first John, chapter two.
Speaker A:You would fully understand that to be ashamed of Jesus or his words connects us to an antichrist position.
Speaker A:How about that?
Speaker A:Yikes.
Speaker A:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:A.
Speaker A:Always be ready.
Speaker C:To serve.
Speaker A:Just ready to go, baby.
Speaker A:Hey, Dave, your lobster dinner is ready.
Speaker A:Here I come, Right?
Speaker A:I mean, I'm ready for it, right?
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:See what I'm saying?
Speaker A:I'm just letting you know.
Speaker A:We just need to be ready on top of it.
Speaker A:If it was important to you and something was coming.
Speaker A:If you knew this package is coming in the next so many hours, you'd be like at the door, where is it?
Speaker A:Where is it?
Speaker A:Where is it?
Speaker A:Where is it?
Speaker A:Well, that's what the Lord wants from us in regards to being obedient and responsive to Him.
Speaker A:Back to the here am I send me position.
Speaker A:Always be ready.
Speaker A:Not just thinking of yourself, not even just thinking of your own family, thinking of others more broadly.
Speaker A:That's really important.
Speaker A:In fact, I have to pray to have a merciful heart because I do it so poorly.
Speaker A:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:A Always be ready to serve your Trivia Question what color was the cloth draped over the Ark of the Covenant?
Speaker A:Was it white, red, gold or blue numbers?
Speaker A:4, 5, 7?
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:How do you not love Romans 8, right?
Speaker A:Since God did not spare even his own son, but gave him up for us all, won't God who gave us Christ also give us everything?
Speaker A:Here is the part.
Speaker A:Here's the part right here.
Speaker A:I'm going to super super challenge you.
Speaker A:Super, super challenge you.
Speaker A:Being a super, super, super challenging guy.
Speaker A:Here it is.
Speaker A:I just want to point this out on this verse.
Speaker A:Do you believe that God can and most of you would instantly say, absolutely.
Speaker A:But do you believe that God wants to and most of you would say, I have no idea.
Speaker A:That's part of it right there.
Speaker A:If what you want is in alignment with God, there obviously won't be an issue, though it still gets surrendered.
Speaker A:The question really comes down to do we think that God, though he has the ability, is just kind of opening up his his little bag of tricks?
Speaker A:What was that like the Felix the Cat and the professor and had this bag of whatever it's like, look, God wants to give us the kingdom.
Speaker A: In fact, Luke: Speaker A:He loves that.
Speaker A:What he's not going to do is do things that are going to abide with or align with our flesh.
Speaker A:He's not going to do that.
Speaker A:It's not going to happen.
Speaker A:But we need to understand or move ourselves from this faith position of God wanting versus he can.
Speaker A:Well, of course he can, but he might not want to because I did this, or because of this, or because of whatever that is.
Speaker A:All of that simply demonstrates the same principle.
Speaker A:You think God is cheap, you can say whatever you want.
Speaker A:That's truth.
Speaker A:He gave Christ to you and I when we didn't even ask to save us from eternity separated from Him.
Speaker A:How would he not do other things for us?
Speaker A:You see that difference right there?
Speaker A:I want you to focus in on that.
Speaker A:Right there, that core piece.
Speaker A:He gave us Jesus Christ when we didn't know him, so that we could be with Him.
Speaker A:How would he not do more when he already gave us the best?
Speaker A:And no, nothing he gives us will be better than Jesus.
Speaker A:But the fact that he gave us Jesus demonstrates his heart, demonstrates his commitment, demonstrates his willingness, demonstrates his generosity.
Speaker A:Again, you know me, name it and claim it not working doesn't work here.
Speaker A:Sorry, don't care.
Speaker A:I don't.
Speaker A:I really don't care.
Speaker A:What I care about, though, is having enough faith to understand that when we're in connection with God and operating with God, the things that we need and the things that are a part of the process, they are there because God is there for us.
Speaker A:And you cannot escape Romans 8:32.
Speaker A:Because the argument is basically, some people say, well, that's a circular argument.
Speaker A:People who say that just don't have an answer.
Speaker A:That's their answer to everything.
Speaker A:It's circular.
Speaker A:It's circular because they don't know how to deal with it.
Speaker A:Since God did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all, won't God who gave us Christ also give us everything else?
Speaker A:The answer is yes, so say it to yourself.
Speaker A:The answer is yes.
Speaker A:The promises of God are yes and amen.
Speaker A:Not well, let me see what I can pull out of his hand.
Speaker A:See if you can snatch the pebble out of my hand.
Speaker A:Let's see how fast you are, grasshopper.
Speaker A:Ha.
Speaker A:It's like, dad, what are you talking about?
Speaker A:That's not what the Lord does.
Speaker A:He's already proven everything.
Speaker A:He's already paid for you.
Speaker A:The amount that cannot be attained on this earth.
Speaker A:How will he not also help you?
Speaker A:That's the challenge that we fight.
Speaker A:And who is it that's fighting against us?
Speaker A:It's our flesh.
Speaker A:It's our doubt.
Speaker A:It's the enemy.
Speaker A:It's the world.
Speaker A:Let's see, Satan, the worldly system, and our flesh all fighting against that.
Speaker A:While the new us, the born again of us, has to be fighting for It.
Speaker A:Well, he gave us Jesus.
Speaker A:Anything we need, he's going to help us with.
Speaker A:Anything that will help us, he's going to help us with.
Speaker A:Okay, cool.
Speaker A:We'll just leave that there then.
Speaker A:See that Big difference though, that's moving past this idea.
Speaker A:Yes, God can, but does he want to?
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Did you know in Luke 5:13 it says the guy said, are you willing?
Speaker A:You know what Jesus said?
Speaker A:I'm willing.
Speaker A:Think about that.
Speaker A:Jesus answer to that question was, yeah, I'm willing.
Speaker A:But do we believe that?
Speaker A:What color was the clothes draped over the Ark of the Covenant?
Speaker A:Was it white, red, gold or blue?
Speaker A:According to numbers 4, 5, 7, it was blue.
Speaker A:Blue skies.
Speaker A:All right, there you go.
Speaker A:Got that going.
Speaker A:We'll take a short break and then come back.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break, we'll be back.
Speaker A:Don't go anywhere.
Speaker A:The David Spoon Experience.
Speaker F:There was a pastor.
Speaker F:Now, I use that word with some reservation, having been involved in ministry and having the privilege of planting seven churches throughout the United States and having three separate ordinations.
Speaker F:I have a tremendous amount of respect for people who commit their lives into ministry.
Speaker F:But whenever there's somebody on television or anywhere else that is a nut job.
Speaker A:Then I just call it like I see it.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:That's what I call it.
Speaker A:Call it like I see it.
Speaker F:On the Sean Hannity show, roughly about two weeks ago, a Reverend, so called Reverend Oliver White was on the show and Reverend Wright said this, and I'm going to repeat it because some of these things are just unbelievable.
Speaker F:He said that Jesus was wrong about marriage.
Speaker F:At least he didn't have the audacity to say.
Speaker F:He never said anything about marriage.
Speaker F:He said Jesus was wrong about marriage and that marriage should be more than between a man and a woman.
Speaker F:And then he proceeded to say this statement, ladies and gentlemen, he said this.
Speaker F:Now, this isn't even the thing that's irritating.
Speaker F:Then he proceeded to say this.
Speaker F:If Jesus were alive today.
Speaker A:He would.
Speaker F:Say, I didn't know it all.
Speaker F:This is a man who's supposed to be representing Jesus Christ as a minister.
Speaker F:This guy's no minister.
Speaker F:And if you want to say, well, that's judging.
Speaker F:I'll take that judgment all day long.
Speaker A:All day long.
Speaker F:I'll take that judgment no matter what anybody says.
Speaker F:Here's a guy that says two things.
Speaker F:One, Jesus was wrong about marriage.
Speaker F:Two, if Jesus were alive today.
Speaker F:Any person who proclaims or professes to be a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and questions whether Jesus Christ is alive today or not is not a minister, but a false teacher.
Speaker A:I don't care.
Speaker F:I don't care if you like it.
Speaker F:I don't care if you think that's mean.
Speaker F:That's irrelevant.
Speaker F:Facts are facts.
Speaker F:And here's the thing that just overwhelms me.
Speaker F:This overwhelms me.
Speaker A:Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker F:Any person who is in public office now this goes with this.
Speaker F:All three, three of these things go together.
Speaker F:Any person who is in public office who changes their convictions about same sex marriage because another family member has made a decision to go into the lifestyle of being gay or lesbian, any person who changes their convictions, their biblical Christian convictions based on another family member changing their status into a gay or lesbian lifestyle and then that person then changes their Bible convictions to accommodate their family member is not fit to be a Christian.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:I said it.
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's Ka Amen 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Here's a challenging question for you.
Speaker A:What was the minimum widow age to be put on a church's support list according to First Timothy chapter 5, verses 5 through 9 and also verse 16?
Speaker A:What was the minimum age to be put on the church's support list?
Speaker A:Very nice, Joanna and Cordelia.
Speaker A:The question is, was it 50, 60, 70 or 80 years old?
Speaker A:What was the minimum widow age?
Speaker A:What's the minimum widow age to be put on a church support list according to 1 Timothy 5, 5, 9?
Speaker A:Is it 50, 60, 70 or 80?
Speaker A:In the meantime, I will again send you to the website.
Speaker A:We are in a tougher financial position.
Speaker A:I don't like being in that position, but we're in it.
Speaker A:If you can give, great.
Speaker A:If you have given, thank you.
Speaker A:If you cannot give, pray for us.
Speaker A:And regardless of where you're at in that whole thing, pray for us just that the Lord will open up a few windows.
Speaker A:That's all we need.
Speaker A:We're trusting him fully and believing for great, not only great things to come, but that we need to be ready to receive.
Speaker A:We are functioning in that.
Speaker A:I'm asking you to join me in that.
Speaker A:Check out our website plus all the other stuff that's on the webpage which has to do with prayer requests and praise reports and other encouraging things.
Speaker A:Check it out at hemustincrease.org Prayer requests hemosincrease.org Praise report hemosincrease.org Looking to give to this ministry.
Speaker A:Hemosincrease.org Confused by what's happening right now?
Speaker A:Hemustincrease.org hemustincrease.org from the Valley of the Charlies.
Speaker A:Ho ho ho, Green Giant.
Speaker A:All right, so here we go.
Speaker A:All right, so I haven't done this in so long, but I'm gonna do one.
Speaker A:It's really funny and you have to follow it when I tell you.
Speaker A:So I'll tell you the trivia question, then I'm going to tell you.
Speaker A:Life's insanity and it's funny now.
Speaker A:It's not anything other than just goofy.
Speaker A:So don't get all excited.
Speaker A:It's not spiritual or anything.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:But the trivia question what was the minimum age for a widow to be put on the church's support list?
Speaker A:Is it 50, 60, 70 or 80 years old?
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:That's the question.
Speaker A:Here we go.
Speaker A:Life's insanities.
Speaker A:You guys haven't heard one of these, really?
Speaker A:I don't think I've really done these in Texas.
Speaker A:So yesterday after the show and after we're done and Noel, take care of some things with Birdie and you know, she had a long day and we're done with our food.
Speaker A:I'm perusing.
Speaker A:Is that a good word to use?
Speaker A:Perusing some of the headlines and things that are going on so I can at least know where the insanity is leaning.
Speaker A:I don't have a lot of confidence in the media.
Speaker A:I think media stands for making everyone dumber in America.
Speaker A:I also think media stands for making everything darker in America.
Speaker A:I think if you're a person in the media and you have a specific slant, you are not a journalist, you're a propagandist.
Speaker A:I don't have any problem with that whatsoever.
Speaker A:That's just the reality.
Speaker A:There is no objective journaling.
Speaker A:There is only cause orientation in our medias.
Speaker A:You look at it and think it's crazy, right?
Speaker A:But every so often I go through, I try not to dive too far too deep because it gets to be really annoying.
Speaker A:But I came across this article that I read and I'll tell you what it said and then I'll back it up afterwards and here's what it said.
Speaker A:Senator Fetterman you guys know Senator Fetterman.
Speaker A:He's the guy that has no hair.
Speaker A:He had a serious issue that took place and had a stroke.
Speaker A:Senator Fetterman blames Pelosi for hair loss.
Speaker A:So for those that are out there, you're like going, what?
Speaker A:So just wait.
Speaker A:So I read that and then I thought, wait a minute.
Speaker A:Fetterman.
Speaker A:Fetterman's the bald guy.
Speaker A:I'm a bald guy.
Speaker A:Bald guys kind of stick together without saying much.
Speaker A:So I'm thinking, wait a second.
Speaker A:He's blaming Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi for hair loss?
Speaker A:Well, don't you know that?
Speaker A:As I reread the article, the Is by Hair was not there until the second time I read it.
Speaker A:And it says Fetterman blames Pelosi for the Harris loss.
Speaker A:But I thought he was saying hair loss.
Speaker A:And because he's bald, I was like, I'm very interested in this.
Speaker A:He's blaming Nancy Pelosi because he doesn't have any hair.
Speaker A:That's what happens to me, folks, if you're looking for a place to go, man, does that guy need therapy.
Speaker A:You ain't kidding.
Speaker A:I really thought that was an article.
Speaker A:Fetterman blames Pelosi for hair loss.
Speaker A:Sorry, it's not my fault.
Speaker A:It's just how I was wired.
Speaker A:Anyway, what was the minimum age to be put on a child supports list?
Speaker A:Is it 50, 60, 70 or 80?
Speaker A:Don't tell me.
Speaker A:That's not funny.
Speaker A:I told that to Noel.
Speaker A:She just shook her head.
Speaker A:Can you imagine what she has to put up with?
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Anyway, let's go back into the text as we are.
Speaker A:In verse 33, it says this.
Speaker A:Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own will?
Speaker A:First, God has chosen for his own will.
Speaker A:God?
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:He's the one who has given us right standing with himself.
Speaker A:Who then will condemn us?
Speaker A:Will.
Speaker A:Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:For he's the one who died for us and was raised to life for us and is sitting at the place of the highest honor next to God, pleading for us.
Speaker A:Let me just say this carefully.
Speaker A:Who dares accuse the people of God?
Speaker A:Everybody who does is going to have to answer.
Speaker A:Here's something I want you to catch.
Speaker A:I don't want to sound braggy, but I want to illustrate this.
Speaker A:And it's one thing for you.
Speaker A:I want to illustrate this so you can understand what I'm trying to communicate.
Speaker A:And forgive me for not doing a good job.
Speaker A:And this is not to be prideful.
Speaker A:It is one thing for you to say something about me.
Speaker A:And 99% of the time, I can handle that, okay?
Speaker A:Because I'm a little used to it.
Speaker A:That's how it goes.
Speaker A:But if you say something about my wife, that's not going to go well.
Speaker A:You can say it about me.
Speaker A:That's cool.
Speaker A:You can't say it about my wife.
Speaker A:That's off limits.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:That's important.
Speaker A:That's what God is saying.
Speaker A:You want to say something?
Speaker A:You say something about my kids.
Speaker A:You are going to have a bad scenario.
Speaker A:Come.
Speaker A:He says, who dares accuse those whom God has chosen?
Speaker A:We are called his bride.
Speaker A:It's like picking on God's favorite person.
Speaker A:And that's just a bad plan.
Speaker A:That's just a terrible idea.
Speaker A:And if you don't pick on me, that's one thing.
Speaker A:But you pick on my wife, that's another thing.
Speaker A:Here's how God's declaring it.
Speaker A:Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own?
Speaker A:God has picked us as people to connect with him.
Speaker A:Who is dumb enough to say something about that in the very next verse?
Speaker A:And by the way, in that verse, he says God has chosen.
Speaker A:He's the one who's given us right standing with himself.
Speaker A:God granted that to us as a gift.
Speaker A:And then the next part says, who will then condemn us?
Speaker A:Well, Jesus Christ.
Speaker D:No.
Speaker A:Because he died for us.
Speaker A:This is what the Lord's communicating.
Speaker A:Don't pick on my kids.
Speaker A:Don't pick on my people.
Speaker A:And what he's saying, that is he's saying that to us so we can know how God looks at us and thinks about us.
Speaker A:The devil's the accuser of the brethren.
Speaker A:He will get every pound of flesh he deserves when that judgment comes, every ounce.
Speaker A:But talking about God's kids, this is one of the reasons that I get to that hesitation point about talking about not genuine Christians, but different denominations, different flavors, so on and so forth.
Speaker A:Some of those things are not my approach, not the way I do it, but I gotta be careful about talking about God's kids, because those are God's kids and he stands up for his kids.
Speaker A:So we need to be careful, use wisdom and insight.
Speaker A:Because God will not put up with a lot of that.
Speaker A:That is how much he loves you.
Speaker A:He will defend you and he will take down those who accuse you.
Speaker A:And I just love the.
Speaker A:Who dares to accuse.
Speaker A:No, not a good thing, is it?
Speaker A:All right, what is the minimum widow age to be put on the church's support list?
Speaker A:50, 60, 70, or 80.
Speaker A:And the answer is 60 over 60 years old.
Speaker A:That is the Answer.
Speaker A:We're going to take a short break, then come back.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break, don't go anywhere.
Speaker H:The Christian faith is being attacked.
Speaker H:Fifty years ago, people would disagree with Christianity, but with a sense of respect.
Speaker H:Those days, the rage, the flesh, the enemy and the atmosphere of sin is growing and growing.
Speaker H:Jesus said in Matthew 24, the love of many will grow cold.
Speaker H:And if it's not the end now, it's certainly a lot closer than it was yesterday.
Speaker H:You may be from a Baptist background.
Speaker H:David Spoon has that.
Speaker H:You may have a Pentecostal background.
Speaker H:He has that too.
Speaker H:You may have a non denominational background.
Speaker H:Yep, he's got that as well.
Speaker H:You may be from the Church of Christ, Presbyterian Methodist Church of God or some other denomination, but if you're looking for a show that's Bible based, spirit led and a bit nutty, give David a listen for a while.
Speaker H:If you like it, great.
Speaker H:If not, no worries.
Speaker H:The David Spoon Experience.
Speaker F:As promised, we are going to now have our interview with the Apostle Peter.
Speaker F:We were fortunate enough to have an interview a couple weeks back with an angel from heaven and now we've been given permission from the powers on high to go ahead and have an interview with the Apostle Peter.
Speaker F:Peter, thank you so much for taking the time for whatever is going on there in the heavenly realms and talking to us.
Speaker I:Well, Dave, you're welcome.
Speaker I:Real glad to see that people are carrying on the work of loving our Lord Jesus Christ and advancing the kingdom.
Speaker I:And I'm very, very, very pleased to see that the radio station is moving forward in advancing the Lord Jesus Christ in His lordship, both in personal lives and in corporate lives.
Speaker I:It's a great thing for me to see.
Speaker F:Well, thank you, Peter.
Speaker A:That's great.
Speaker F:And so I guess I want to ask you some basic questions.
Speaker F:I'm really breaking this interview down into two separate sections.
Speaker F:The first section is kind of before the resurrection and the second section is kind of after the resurrection, after the ascension.
Speaker I:Okay, Dave, that'll be fine.
Speaker I:I know exactly what you're trying to accomplish here, probably unknown to you, is that we know exactly where this is going.
Speaker F:Well, Peter, I don't want to say that that's kind of scary, but.
Speaker F:Okay, here's my first question to you, sir.
Speaker F:What are you absolutely the most proud of as a disciple, as an apostle of Jesus Christ?
Speaker I:Well, David, that's a great question.
Speaker I:The thing that I am absolutely the most proud of was the moment that Jesus asked all of us to identify who he really was.
Speaker I:And it was at that moment that I was able to say that Jesus is the Messiah, the son of the living God.
Speaker I:That's the actual rock that the church has been built on.
Speaker I:I think some people thought that the rock might have been me, myself, but it was my confession.
Speaker I:Confession that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the son of the living God.
Speaker I:It is that statement of faith that the church has been built upon and that the gates of hell have never.
Speaker A:Nor will ever prevail against the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the truce station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's Ka Men 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:We have another section we need to do.
Speaker A:I do want to remind people I'm going to have to wait, literally have to wait till after 4 to text anybody on most responses because I'm just not going to have the time.
Speaker A:I do think it's worth it to do a little bit of history.
Speaker A:So let's do the history.
Speaker A:But before we do that, answer this.
Speaker A:Who was the first person to go to heaven that didn't die in the flesh?
Speaker A:Your answer is in Genesis 5.
Speaker A:24.
Speaker A:Is that Elijah, Moses, Adam, or Enoch?
Speaker A:Who was the first person to go to heaven that didn't die in the flesh?
Speaker A:Was that Elijah, Moses, Adam, or Enoch?
Speaker A:Genesis 5:24.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Let's go live big in the past.
Speaker A:Let's go live.
Speaker A:All right, here we go.
Speaker A:A couple things we need to be aware of.
Speaker A:Today is think a mailman day.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Except I have a theory.
Speaker A:I don't think they should deliver mail on Saturdays.
Speaker A:You want to know why?
Speaker A:Because sometimes in the mail you get a bill and it's like, why ruin the weekend?
Speaker A:Just make it Monday through Friday.
Speaker A:Just keep it easy.
Speaker A:That's just my take.
Speaker A:I'm sticking with it.
Speaker C:So you're saying put it during the week.
Speaker C:Yeah, have it during the weekend.
Speaker A:But on the weekend, leave it alone.
Speaker A:National Homemade Soup Day.
Speaker A:You can't.
Speaker A:Come on.
Speaker A:I come from a family where matzo ball soup was a staple.
Speaker A:So, yeah, we're gonna support that all day long.
Speaker A:Additionally, it's Stuffed Mushrooms Day.
Speaker A:I like that.
Speaker A:If it's done right, stuffed mushrooms My brother hates mushrooms.
Speaker A:You don't like mushrooms?
Speaker A:Not a fan.
Speaker C:I'm with your brother.
Speaker C:I don't like mushrooms.
Speaker A:Okay, there's a couple people I understand.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:And then this I thought was hilarious.
Speaker A:And we'll just move on from here.
Speaker A: In: Speaker A:Just a little bit of a markup.
Speaker A:640 for a $615 more than the toilet seat cost.
Speaker A:But they were paying that for just.
Speaker C:A little bit overpriced.
Speaker A:Just a tad overpriced.
Speaker A:Oh, my goodness.
Speaker A:I don't have much to say about that.
Speaker A:Your trivia question.
Speaker A:Who was the first person to go to heaven that didn't die in the flesh?
Speaker A:Was it Elijah, Moses, Adam, or Enoch?
Speaker A:Genesis 5, 24.
Speaker A:That is the place you want to go.
Speaker A:Keeping it as simple and straightforward, back to our text we go.
Speaker A:And this last portion, which is so, so important, I'll pick it up from verse 33, which says, who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own will?
Speaker A:God?
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:He's the one who's given us right standing with himself.
Speaker A:Who then will condemn us?
Speaker A:Will Christ.
Speaker A:Jesus.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:For he is the one who died for us and was raised to.
Speaker A:To life for us and is sitting at the right place of the highest honor next to God, pleading for us.
Speaker A:Now, I know that some of the other versions are going to say, interceding for us.
Speaker A:It's like, that's fine.
Speaker A:All that's fine.
Speaker A:No problem.
Speaker A:Here's what I want you to get Jesus.
Speaker A:Ministry is not done.
Speaker A:We are right with God through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:And Jesus is now at the right hand of the Father, interceding and praying for us.
Speaker A:He's in the seat of the highest honor, the place of honor right next to the Father.
Speaker A:So from an image point of view, and we're not talking about false or dynamic imaging, just the picture that the scripture is painting, it's like Jesus leans over and goes, that's one of mine.
Speaker A:That's one of mine.
Speaker A:It's not that the Father doesn't know it.
Speaker A:That's what's so silly.
Speaker A:God is giving us this picture to show us how much he's for us.
Speaker A:You think that Jesus dying for us would be sufficient?
Speaker A:We could be done.
Speaker A:Done.
Speaker A:Conversation over.
Speaker A:He died for us.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:Nothing else.
Speaker A:But see, this is more proof that it goes past that.
Speaker A:This is what I Want you to see, the whole context is about the context, putting it together.
Speaker A:Remember in verse 31, 32, God, who didn't spare his own Son, gave him up for us all, who gave us Christ.
Speaker A:Will he also not give us everything?
Speaker A:He gave us Jesus as the sacrificial lamb.
Speaker A:Guess what?
Speaker A:He's still giving us Jesus.
Speaker A:And we don't see it.
Speaker A:We're not seeing the generosity of God.
Speaker A:We just think it was a once and for all act and that's it.
Speaker A:Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, interceding, pleading, talking to, advocating for us.
Speaker A:Now, right now, he's advocating for you right now, right this second, at the right hand of the Father.
Speaker A:It wasn't just, and that's not to minimize.
Speaker A:It wasn't just, and that's not to minimize the death, burial and resurrection.
Speaker A:But also on top of that, he is ministering on our behalf, interceding for us, pleading for us, whispering for us.
Speaker A:His ministry will never end.
Speaker A:And I will tell you this, some people don't understand this, but once we are in the ultimate phase of eternity, it still has to be the ministry of Jesus, because you can't be eternal without Him.
Speaker A:So that part of the ministry of Jesus will continue on forever and ever.
Speaker A:And you're a recipient of that ministry.
Speaker A:All of this connecting to, hey, if God didn't withhold him, how will he not also give us so much more?
Speaker A:He's not going to let you be accused and brought down by the enemy.
Speaker A:He's not going to let people condemn you, their audacity to even think so.
Speaker A:In fact, next to the Father, at the right hand, in a whisper moment, Jesus is interceding for you.
Speaker A:Wow, the ministry goes on.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:It wasn't just the death, burial and resurrection.
Speaker A:It's the continuance.
Speaker A:And it will last for all eternity.
Speaker A:That's how much he loves you.
Speaker A:Now, if we could grasp, and I'm not sure we can, but if we could, well, we can.
Speaker A:It's in Scripture.
Speaker A:But if we could properly grasp that level of love that Jesus has for us, that level of love that the Father has for us, that level of love that the Holy Spirit has for us, if we could possibly grasp that, then we wouldn't think of God as stingy.
Speaker A:We would know God in His generosity, not only can he, but he wants to.
Speaker A:That's the fight to understand who he is.
Speaker A:That's how much he loves us.
Speaker A:A lot of theology in this.
Speaker A:But listen, it all is put together.
Speaker A:This is all the Lord putting it together, saying Hey, I love you.
Speaker A:I'm still ministering on your behalf.
Speaker A:Even beyond the cross and the resurrection.
Speaker A:Like, cool.
Speaker A:You can only say thank you.
Speaker A:Couldn't say anything else, could you?
Speaker A:Who was the first person to go to heaven that didn't die in the flesh?
Speaker A:Was that Elijah, Moses, Adam or Enoch?
Speaker A:Love this story.
Speaker A:It was Enoch.
Speaker A:I think he went out to paint the side of the barn.
Speaker A:His wife came out Enoch, and he was gone.
Speaker A:That's what I think.
Speaker A:That's just fun, right?
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:22 and a half hour break.
Speaker A:Then we'll come back, More insanity with Spoonanity.
Speaker A:Talk to you then.
Speaker H:The views expressed on the preceding program were those of the speakers and not necessarily those of kaam, DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.
