02-03-2025 part 2: Recovering All: The Divine Promise of Restoration

The salient point of this discourse revolves around the profound notion of being a friend of God, as exemplified through the biblical figure of Abram, later known as Abraham. The narrative elucidates how Abram's unwavering faith and his intimate relationship with God empowered him to confront formidable adversaries and reclaim what was lost, thereby highlighting the divine assurance of recovery and redemption in our own lives. Throughout the discussion, we delve into the multifaceted dimensions of God’s love, emphasizing that His restoration is not merely partial but encompasses every aspect of our existence—spiritual, physical, emotional, and psychological. The episode serves as a poignant reminder that, despite life's adversities, our status as friends of God positions us favorably in spiritual warfare, enabling us to navigate challenges with resolute faith and an unwavering conviction in divine support. Ultimately, we are encouraged to draw closer to God, for in doing so, we align ourselves with His transformative power and the promise of holistic restoration.

The discourse presented in this episode embarks upon a profound exploration of the narrative of Abram, a paramount figure in the annals of faith, particularly as depicted in the sacred text of Genesis. Specifically, the discussion delves into Genesis chapter 14, wherein Abram is portrayed not merely as a patriarch of faith but as a formidable warrior, demonstrating an unexpected tenacity as he embarks on a mission to rescue his nephew, Lot, who has been captured amidst a tumultuous conflict. The episode elucidates how Abram, armed with the loyalty of 318 men, orchestrates a meticulously calculated nocturnal assault against the marauding forces, thereby illuminating the themes of divine friendship and the strength derived from unwavering faith in God.

Throughout the episode, I underscore the significance of Abram’s actions as emblematic of the broader spiritual warfare that individuals encounter in their lives. The narrative serves as a poignant reminder of the divine support that accompanies those who stand resolutely in faith, reinforcing the notion that in the face of adversity, one remains in the company of the Almighty. This theme culminates in the assertion that the recovery and redemption offered by God encompass not merely the restoration of material possessions, but extend to every facet of human existence—spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically.

As we traverse the intricacies of this biblical tale, I invite listeners to reflect on their own challenges and the divine assistance available to them. The discussion ultimately posits that through faith, one can reclaim what has been lost and experience the fullness of God’s provision, thereby transforming tribulations into testimonies of triumph.

Takeaways:

  • The narrative of Abram, a figure exemplifying faith, underscores the importance of divine friendship in spiritual warfare.
  • In the face of adversity, believers are reminded that being a friend of God equips them for victory in their struggles.
  • Abram's audacious actions to rescue Lot illustrate the principle that faith can inspire decisive and courageous action in dire situations.
  • The podcast emphasizes that God's restoration transcends mere recovery, encompassing spiritual, physical, emotional, and psychological dimensions.
  • Listeners are encouraged to engage in prayer as a proactive response to life's challenges, aligning their actions with God's will.
  • The concept of God as a partner in life's battles reinforces the belief that divine support is paramount in overcoming obstacles.

Speaker A:

And now for something completely different.

Speaker A:

Here's what's coming up this hour on Today's Experience.

Speaker A:

It's marvelous, monumental, most fascinating, massively mind bending Monday as we join our hearts and minds as one, drawing closer to the King of Kings and glorifying his name.

Speaker A:

Jumping back into Genesis, we're going to pick it up at chapter 14 starting with verse 15 with a very short return to verse 14.

Speaker A:

We come to find out that Abram, who is the prime example of faith established throughout the entire word of God, has a little bit of a mean streak.

Speaker A:

Okay, it's not a mean streak, but he's more of a warrior than we would typically give him credit for as he goes after Lot.

Speaker A:

Lot.

Speaker A:

Lot's family and all the people that have been taken captive.

Speaker A:

Next, with 318 people, Abram splits his men and attacks during the night from several different directions.

Speaker A:

This catches the invading armies off guard.

Speaker A:

They begin to flee, but Abraham and his crew chase them.

Speaker A:

They're not going to get off so easy because Abraham is a friend of God.

Speaker A:

They're not going to get out.

Speaker A:

And you know what?

Speaker A:

We should remember that when we're going through spiritual warfare that if we are friends of God, we're in good company.

Speaker A:

Finally, the rest of the verse explains that Abram recovered the goods that had been taken, his nephew Lot, as well as Lot's possession, all the women, all the other captives.

Speaker A:

It should be noted that when God brings recovery and redemption into our lives, it's not just a little bit.

Speaker A:

He helps us recover everything that is true, spiritually, physically, emotionally and psychologically as well.

Speaker A:

In God we recover all that is how much he loves us.

Speaker B:

Speaker B:

After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.

Speaker B:

He joined KAAM and this radio program began.

Speaker B:

You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Local, national and heavenly talk.

Speaker A:

Here's what else we're looking at during the show.

Speaker A:

Lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities and oy vey, so much more.

Speaker A:

Now remember, it's not professional radio.

Speaker A:

Just remember that.

Speaker A:

And in the beginning of the first 30 minutes of the show, I told you that one of the reasons that I have a radio show is because I am not the Boo Boo from Jellystone National Park.

Speaker A:

But on that same understanding, let's talk to the Yogi Bear of professional radio.

Speaker A:

He too is not the Boo Boo.

Speaker A:

Our very own Jam and Jacob.

Speaker A:

Jam and Jacob is the David Spoon experience as the Yogi Bear of professional radio.

Speaker A:

Is it professional radio?

Speaker A:

No, it is not.

Speaker A:

David, do you like that tie in?

Speaker A:

That was pretty good, right?

Speaker A:

I do like that one.

Speaker A:

I was going to try a impression, but I don't know.

Speaker A:

I'm not very good.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna get them picking it baskets.

Speaker A:

That one right there.

Speaker A:

There you go.

Speaker A:

That was good.

Speaker A:

That is all right, folks, here it is.

Speaker A:

It's not professional, it's radio.

Speaker A:

What does that mean?

Speaker A:

It means that the Lord do whatever he wants.

Speaker A:

Was it brilliant?

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

Is it interesting?

Speaker A:

Yeah, it's pretty interesting.

Speaker A:

I think it is.

Speaker A:

Anyway.

Speaker A:

But we are asking you, what do you think and how are you doing and how can we help?

Speaker A:

So you can email us davidemustincreased.org during the show.

Speaker A:

Davidemustincreased.org you can also send us a text.

Speaker A:

Talking to Jim and Jacob is like knowing that your spiritual radio family has your back.

Speaker A:

Thank you, David.

Speaker A:

Happy Monday.

Speaker A:

Happy Monday to you.

Speaker A:

As usual, the show is starting off just the way we would think it might start off, going nowhere close to the notes that I had written.

Speaker A:

But that's a normal for this show.

Speaker A:

I know that's every show.

Speaker A:

I mean, the last three weeks have just been really deeply into that.

Speaker A:

It's like so strange.

Speaker A:

Anyhow, here's the bottom line.

Speaker A:

Here's what I want you to know.

Speaker A:

Why would you call us?

Speaker A:

Why would you test us?

Speaker A:

Why would you email us?

Speaker A:

Could be for a praise report.

Speaker A:

We think that's great.

Speaker A:

Share it.

Speaker A:

It's a venue, an opportunity to share.

Speaker A:

I don't know if you have it at your church, you definitely need to be sharing it there.

Speaker A:

But if not, you need to tell people what the Lord's doing because that's why he does things.

Speaker A:

And then you bless other people by telling them and it encourages their faith and it honors him.

Speaker A:

This is not how these things work on Top of that, it could be for prayer requests.

Speaker A:

Look, I got this going on, right?

Speaker A:

We had Peggy call for prayer requests.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because it's important.

Speaker A:

It's important to petition.

Speaker A:

It's important to remember Keith Oakley.

Speaker A:

It's important to remember Jeanette and the different people who are really suffering.

Speaker A:

It's important to remember Jay.

Speaker A:

We need to think about one another, pray for one another, care for one another, love one another.

Speaker A:

By this shall all men know you're my disciples.

Speaker A:

By your love.

Speaker A:

One for another can't be fake.

Speaker A:

It's got to be real.

Speaker A:

And so along those lines, we encourage you.

Speaker A:

If you got something you need some prayer, bring it.

Speaker A:

If you've got something you just want to share, oh, I saw this.

Speaker A:

Or this happened, or I came across this.

Speaker A:

I love what our brother did.

Speaker A:

Steve up talking about just the bumper sticker he saw.

Speaker A:

I just love stuff like that.

Speaker A:

I love the gracelets of God, those moments where God says, I'm right here.

Speaker A:

Those are so powerful.

Speaker A:

They are.

Speaker A:

They're very, very powerful.

Speaker A:

And also, we do Bible trivia.

Speaker A:

Why do we do it?

Speaker A:

Because it's fun.

Speaker A:

But it also keeps the word of God at the forefront of our minds.

Speaker A:

So from proverbs, specifically Proverbs 9, 10, specifically Proverbs 9, 10, 10, the proverb says, the blank of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Speaker A:

Is that the love, the trust, the will, or the fear of the Lord?

Speaker A:

From Proverbs 9, 10, the blank of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Speaker A:

Is that love, trust, will, or fear of the Lord.

Speaker A:

That is the beginning of wisdom.

Speaker A:

If you think you know you can reach out to us.

Speaker A:

That's what makes it fun.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Or you can send an email david@hemustincrease.org so there's one thing I do want to do.

Speaker A:

I want to add somebody else to our list of people that you can be praying for.

Speaker A:

And so I think it's kind of important for everybody to know that.

Speaker A:

So when you hear me say names and things like that, the reality of the issue is simply this.

Speaker A:

We have Uleena.

Speaker A:

Or if I said that wrong, Joanne and Corday.

Speaker A:

I'm sorry, but it's Uleena, I think, anyway, has been going through a couple of difficult times.

Speaker A:

This is Joanne and Cordelia's sister.

Speaker A:

Just.

Speaker A:

Just be Praying for her.

Speaker A:

Pray for her.

Speaker A:

She's another person that you can pray for.

Speaker A:

We would ask you to petition on her behalf.

Speaker A:

We would ask you to seek God's favor on her behalf.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

That's a good thing.

Speaker A:

That's a good thing.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right, cool.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

I guess Joanne's going to call in at some point, so that's good.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

And then she could tell me how I pronounced it wrong.

Speaker A:

I'm so bad with names.

Speaker A:

You would think after all this stuff that I studied in the scriptures, I still.

Speaker A:

Even in Bible names, I'm like, I messed them up because I just squished them together.

Speaker A:

I'll never forget, my brother is teaching somewhere, and I kept saying Amalekites.

Speaker A:

I kept saying the wrong phrase, and he's like, you know, you could slow that down when you read.

Speaker A:

Was probably a good idea.

Speaker A:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker A:

Every one of us got one of those goofy things in us.

Speaker A:

Anyway, here it is, your trivia question.

Speaker A:

Just leaving it where it needs to be.

Speaker A:

See, from Proverbs 9, 10, the blank of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Speaker A:

Is that love, trust, will, or fear?

Speaker A:

Somebody on the line to answer that question or they got it.

Speaker A:

Oh, we have Joanne calling Ann.

Speaker A:

Okay, let's have her pop on in.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker A:

Is this Joanne?

Speaker C:

Yes, Dr.

Speaker C:

David.

Speaker C:

I love everything you're saying.

Speaker C:

You're so fun.

Speaker C:

Thank you.

Speaker C:

And I do know the answer to trivia, but I wanted to give a praise report, too, so can I do both?

Speaker A:

Yep.

Speaker A:

Please.

Speaker A:

You certainly can.

Speaker A:

Let's do the trivia first, because I want to get that taken care of, and that way it's not hanging out there.

Speaker A:

So the trivia question from Proverbs 9, 10, the blank of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Speaker A:

Is that love, trust, will, or fear?

Speaker C:

It is fear.

Speaker A:

That is.

Speaker A:

Correctamundo.

Speaker A:

Now, before people start scratching their head, this is fear in the context of awe, inspiration, respect, honor.

Speaker A:

It is that type of fear.

Speaker A:

It's a reverence, it's not a terror.

Speaker A:

But if you are reverent before the Lord, if you are honoring God, if you are respectful of God, that's where it starts.

Speaker A:

So that's why this is the beginning of wisdom.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker C:

Oh.

Speaker C:

Amen.

Speaker C:

Our world is too casual in regard to the Lord.

Speaker C:

He needs the utmost of awe and reverence and respect.

Speaker C:

Like you're saying.

Speaker C:

So thank you.

Speaker C:

And thank you for mentioning my little sister Yelena.

Speaker C:

So you almost said it, right?

Speaker C:

Most people say Yelena.

Speaker C:

I looked it up one time.

Speaker C:

There is only one Yelena named in the world.

Speaker C:

Every year, one person named that, and.

Speaker C:

And it's just such a sweet name, but she doesn't care.

Speaker C:

We're just happy for people to pray for her.

Speaker C:

She did have a fall at her group home yesterday.

Speaker C:

She just fainted.

Speaker C:

And I went to the hospital and saw her, and she.

Speaker C:

She's just doing very well.

Speaker C:

She's with me now.

Speaker C:

She does look like she was in a boxing fight.

Speaker C:

Dr.

Speaker C:

Spoon, she.

Speaker C:

She was bruised when I saw her at the hospital, but this morning, she.

Speaker C:

The whole eye is just very, very black, almost shut.

Speaker C:

But I've been putting ice and giving her vitamin C and D and lots of, you know, nutritional things.

Speaker C:

And she's alert, she's oriented.

Speaker C:

So the CAT scan did not show any abnormalities.

Speaker C:

Praise the Lord.

Speaker C:

And you know what?

Speaker C:

If I could share this real quick.

Speaker C:

I went to my witnessing class at church last night.

Speaker C:

I got the.

Speaker C:

The text right after the witnessing class was over.

Speaker C:

So I happen to have a bunch of tracks with me from Living Waters.

Speaker C:

That's the way of the master class is what I was taking.

Speaker C:

And our assignment was, you know, pass out a bunch of tracks.

Speaker C:

I was able to use those tracks at the hospital in Arlington.

Speaker C:

And even right before, like her night nurse, I got to show her a video of a beautiful baptism at my church, First Baptist.

Speaker C:

Yesterday, a husband and wife.

Speaker C:

Wife were baptized together.

Speaker C:

It was just so beautiful.

Speaker C:

And so I was just.

Speaker C:

I just felt so at peace.

Speaker C:

I texted our, you know, your prayer group, and then my prayer groups at church.

Speaker C:

I had so many people praying.

Speaker C:

My own family.

Speaker C:

And I was able to drive back and forth in the dark to Arlington safely and went back home with Yelena.

Speaker C:

So that's my praise report, Dr.

Speaker C:

David.

Speaker C:

So, our Father.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker C:

Everybody be encouraged.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker C:

We love Samson.

Speaker C:

We love and bless Samson.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

Restore him for sure.

Speaker A:

I just want to say that if anybody says anything to Yelena at all, just have her say, you should see the other guy.

Speaker A:

Anyway, just move on.

Speaker C:

Amen, Doctor.

Speaker C:

Okay, you carry on.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker C:

We're loving the show.

Speaker A:

God bless.

Speaker C:

Bye.

Speaker A:

Bye.

Speaker C:

Bye bye.

Speaker C:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Excellent testimony.

Speaker A:

This is cool, right?

Speaker A:

This is what Christianity should be.

Speaker A:

It should be like this.

Speaker A:

A lot of this.

Speaker A:

You know, not just this, but a lot of this.

Speaker A:

Okay, but remember, we're not your church.

Speaker A:

We don't do communion.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And we don't do baptisms.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We're a fellowship, so make sure you make that distinction.

Speaker A:

Okay, Cool.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

We're going to do our DNA, because I Don't care what happens.

Speaker A:

I was so blessed.

Speaker A:

I'll just tell you.

Speaker A:

I got to brag a little.

Speaker A:

Just a little.

Speaker A:

All right?

Speaker A:

So don't get mad at me.

Speaker A:

I don't like it when people.

Speaker A:

It's just on Saturday, I reached that next milestone in my devotional time.

Speaker A:

So I've gone through 27 years.

Speaker A:

Monday through Saturday, an hour every day with the Lord.

Speaker A:

27 years.

Speaker A:

What were you doing 27 years ago?

Speaker A:

Think about that.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker A:

That's a long time, isn't it?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I don't want to make you feel old, David, but that's older than me, and I'm taking that $20 back now.

Speaker A:

So I'm just.

Speaker A:

No more $20.

Speaker A:

No more $20.

Speaker A:

Anyway, so here's why this is so important, and I don't credit myself with that.

Speaker A:

So you guys got to be careful there.

Speaker A:

So what I think that the Lord does is if you press into the Lord, he presses into you.

Speaker A:

So how that scripture goes is, draw near to God and he will draw near to you.

Speaker A:

James 4, 8.

Speaker A:

And the Lord wants you to pursue Him.

Speaker A:

You know, he answers prayers before they're even asked.

Speaker A:

So you think, well, then why does he bother to ask?

Speaker A:

Because he wants to hang out with us.

Speaker A:

He wants us to want to hang out with him, and he wants to hang out with us.

Speaker A:

It's like.

Speaker A:

It's the relationship.

Speaker A:

So drawing closer to the Lord daily has a lot to do with that.

Speaker A:

And if there's one thing that this show will finish on or that we'll do our best to support and stand in is simply this.

Speaker A:

If any person out there ever, at any point for 10 seconds or more has spent more time with God because of the show than the show's a success.

Speaker A:

That's how I would define it.

Speaker A:

It's not going to be on money.

Speaker A:

It's not going to be a number of people.

Speaker A:

Not going to be any of that.

Speaker A:

It's, did we draw closer?

Speaker A:

And that's why you hear me talk about this so much, because drawing closer to the Lord sets everything right.

Speaker A:

That's the key.

Speaker A:

So draw closer to the Lord daily every day that ends in y N.

Speaker A:

Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

Speaker A:

Never, ever, ever, ever be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

Speaker A:

In fact, in First John, chapter two, there's this little segment that's very brutal about people that are ashamed.

Speaker A:

It's really tense.

Speaker A:

I don't want to talk about it right now.

Speaker A:

You go read First John, chapter two.

Speaker A:

You'll see.

Speaker A:

Never be ashamed of what Jesus had To say, God created the universe.

Speaker A:

The dude can write a book.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right, great.

Speaker A:

So d draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

Speaker A:

A always be ready to serve.

Speaker A:

Just ready to honor our king.

Speaker A:

If you knew that in any hour of the day you were going to receive a phone call, and in that phone call you were going to find out whether you got 50 or 55 or $60 million, how attentive would you be to that phone?

Speaker A:

How about you would take masking tape or electrical tape and you would tape it to your forehead?

Speaker A:

Who are you kidding, right?

Speaker A:

That's the be ready thing.

Speaker A:

That's the being on guard, ready to go, ready to yes, Lord, whatever.

Speaker A:

What's it going to be?

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

You don't know.

Speaker A:

But we can know him who wants us to be ready, right?

Speaker A:

And when it's time and the lamps are trimmed, we're ready.

Speaker A:

Got to be ready.

Speaker A:

Don't get caught off guard thinking, oh, he hasn't come for so long.

Speaker A:

That's part of the passages in Peter.

Speaker A:

You should know.

Speaker A:

Be aware of that as well.

Speaker A:

So a d draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

Speaker A:

A always, always be ready to serve.

Speaker A:

Take a short break, then come back.

Speaker A:

You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on KAM 770, the truth stationer in Texas.

Speaker A:

Short break.

Speaker A:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker B:

Speaker A:

Oh, did I mention that it's $57 a month.

Speaker A:

Cow punch sites.

Speaker A:

$57 a month.

Speaker A:

And that's no bull.

Speaker A:

Um, Dave, this is a nice radio station.

Speaker A:

Oops, sorry.

Speaker A:

That's cowpunch sites.

Speaker A:

$57 a month.

Speaker A:

And that's no buny there.

Speaker A:

That's better.

Speaker A:

Cowpunchsites.com dad let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Speaker A:

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Speaker A:

Do you know how you keep going?

Speaker A:

Do you know how you keep putting one foot in front of the other?

Speaker A:

Do you know how you don't give up?

Speaker A:

Do you know how you don't quit even though you want to quit?

Speaker A:

You fix your eyes on Jesus.

Speaker A:

You see with God.

Speaker A:

When Peter went out of that boat and stepped on that water, there is no natural principle in the world, in any normal universe that would allow Peter to walk on water.

Speaker A:

But he did one thing well.

Speaker A:

He looked at Jesus.

Speaker A:

And as he was looking at Jesus, the Bible says he walked on the water.

Speaker A:

He looked at his situation, just focusing at Jesus, and he took his eyes off of Jesus and he saw the winds and the waves and he sank.

Speaker A:

He lost the correct attitude when he stopped seeing with Jesus in the picture.

Speaker A:

Whatever you see, whatever you face, whatever you encounter, do not see it or face it in the natural.

Speaker A:

For we walk by faith and not by sight.

Speaker A:

So everything you see, you must insert the picture of Jesus.

Speaker B:

The David Spoon Experience If Jesus was.

Speaker A:

Like welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

That's Ka Man 770, the Truth Station here in Texas, where we have your next trivia question from Mark, chapter 15, verse 7, verse 11 and verse 15.

Speaker A:

You could probably just go Mark 15, 15, Mark 15, 7, 11 and 15.

Speaker A:

Here is your question.

Speaker A:

Who was the other man on trial with Jesus whom the crowd decided to free?

Speaker A:

Was that Barnabas Barabbas, Pontius, or Caesar?

Speaker A:

Who was the other man on trial with Jesus whom the crowd freed up According to Mark 15, 7, 11 or 15?

Speaker A:

Any one of those will answer it to you.

Speaker A:

Was it Barnabas Barabbas, Pontius or Caesar?

Speaker A:

That is the question.

Speaker A:

If you think you know the answer, by the way, which is okey dokey artichoke, you just give us a holler.

Speaker A:

before we do anything else, I do want to remind everybody it is February.

Speaker A:

February is February, Buddy month.

Speaker A:

This is actually birthed by my wife, who's a lot smarter than I am.

Speaker A:

And here's the bottom line.

Speaker A:

If you hear somebody's name mentioned, like Yelena or anybody else that we've talked about in this last month or so as this show continues on, if you connect to somebody, I want you just to make this commitment to you.

Speaker A:

It's between you and the Lord.

Speaker A:

Nobody you're not.

Speaker A:

I'm not going to make you a common.

Speaker A:

I just want you to do it.

Speaker A:

Pray for that person that make that connection.

Speaker A:

No matter what, just pray for them.

Speaker A:

Mention that person before the Lord.

Speaker A:

For the Lord's grace, his mercy, his kindness, his wisdom, his insights, his provisions, Every one of those things would be valid.

Speaker A:

So February buddies, don't forget February buddies.

Speaker A:

My nice way of saying that.

Speaker A:

Please, please, please, please, please don't forget.

Speaker A:

All right, somebody is ready to answer a trivia question.

Speaker A:

Let's send them on through.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker D:

This is Gary.

Speaker D:

How are you?

Speaker A:

I just had this sneaky suspicion I was gonna hear from you today.

Speaker A:

Sometimes I get that and sometimes I don't.

Speaker A:

But I'm glad.

Speaker A:

I'm super glad that you called in.

Speaker A:

So let me set you up on the Triv, and then we'll pray over you, okay?

Speaker D:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Triv is straightforward.

Speaker A:

Who was the other man on trial with Jesus whom the crowd wanted to free?

Speaker A:

Was it Barnabas Barabbas, Pontius, or Caesar Barabbas?

Speaker A:

That is correct, Emmanuel.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

That was like, give us that bad guy.

Speaker A:

Give us the guy that's lousy.

Speaker A:

We'll take that guy.

Speaker A:

Like, what is wrong with you?

Speaker A:

Anyhow, Excellent job, and I knew you'd probably get that right off the bat.

Speaker A:

And how are you doing overall?

Speaker A:

Pretty much the same.

Speaker A:

On the health?

Speaker D:

Pretty much the same.

Speaker D:

I do need prayer for health and other matters, too.

Speaker A:

Anything you want to talk about or just pray in general?

Speaker D:

Well, just pray in general if we'll.

Speaker A:

Okay, let's do it.

Speaker A:

Let's pray.

Speaker A:

Let's all join our faith together for our brother.

Speaker A:

Let's do it.

Speaker A:

Father, we come before you right now, and I just want to.

Speaker A:

I just want to thank you for Gary.

Speaker A:

And I'm asking you, Lord, first, that I do pray this, Lord, first, that you would give him a blessing.

Speaker A:

There'd be something that would happen that would just really encourage him, and that would speak to his heart and his mind about your connection to him.

Speaker A:

And Lord, we're praying for his health as only you, only you can make that change, to make that difference.

Speaker A:

But you are able to do it.

Speaker A:

It is not past you.

Speaker A:

Nothing is impossible with you.

Speaker A:

So manifest your power in his body, in his heart, in his mind, in his organs, in his blood and his entire frame.

Speaker A:

And Lord, he's got other things that are just.

Speaker A:

It doesn't make it easy.

Speaker A:

And those other things as well.

Speaker A:

He needs a little bit of smooth, a little bit of simple, a little bit of just let it work instead of it being difficult or complex.

Speaker A:

We ask you to walk with Gary, to have Gary, to have that not just the assurance of his salvation, but the assurance of your presence being with him.

Speaker A:

And that he could find that grace, that peace that gives him victories, even in the smallest things, Lord, those little victories count.

Speaker A:

And we ask you to give him that, but give him the big one.

Speaker A:

Bring your healing power to bear in his body as only you can.

Speaker A:

And we'll keep praying every day for him.

Speaker A:

Bless our brother Gary.

Speaker A:

We ask you just to pour your grace upon him in Jesus name, Amen and Amen.

Speaker D:

Amen.

Speaker D:

Thank you.

Speaker D:

God bless you.

Speaker D:

I prayed for all of you yesterday and I'll continue to pray for you.

Speaker A:

Thank you, brother.

Speaker A:

And God bless you as well.

Speaker D:

Thank you.

Speaker D:

God bless you.

Speaker A:

Bye bye.

Speaker A:

All right, let's get into the text.

Speaker A:

Before we get into the one portion of the text, I got to back it up just a little bit.

Speaker A:

A little bit.

Speaker A:

So when we left off last week in the Genesis text in 14, we had just found out that Abraham, Abram.

Speaker A:

Sorry, it's just so used to saying Abraham.

Speaker A:

Abraham learned that lot had been captured.

Speaker A:

And so he called together his house together the men born in his house, 318 of them all.

Speaker A:

And he chased King until he caught up with them in Dan, Dan, Dan.

Speaker A:

So last week we talked about this, that Abraham, he said, you know, what he did is one of the men escaped from this situation where the kings took everybody from Sodom and Gomorrah.

Speaker A:

So he came, this guy escaped and told Abram who was the Hebrew.

Speaker A:

Which we told you last week is the first time that Hebrew is mentioned in the scripture.

Speaker A:

And yes, it's mentioned in the scripture.

Speaker A:

The scripture.

Speaker A:

And so he caught up with them.

Speaker A:

And so the Amorites, Mamre.

Speaker A:

The Amorite Mamre and his relatives, Eskol and Abner, they were Abram's allies.

Speaker A:

Abraham was a.

Speaker A:

I want to say this so you can understand.

Speaker A:

Abraham was a relatively popular guy.

Speaker A:

He had good friends there's nothing weird about that.

Speaker A:

I mean, some people have good friends.

Speaker A:

He had good friends.

Speaker A:

But when he got that news, he was like, you know what?

Speaker A:

We're not just going to do nothing.

Speaker A:

Sometimes the actions that are called for are a little bit more progressive or let me.

Speaker A:

Not progressive, but forward thinking than not.

Speaker A:

So why I'm saying that is when you get into a situation and you know that it's getting to be kind of, it's kind of dicey or so on and so forth, you should become the prayer warrior.

Speaker A:

You should become a warrior in petitioning God.

Speaker A:

You should go after that in the Lord.

Speaker A:

Now nobody's telling you to go after anything on that physical level where Abram's grabbing an army and he's chasing another army.

Speaker A:

Nobody's saying that.

Speaker A:

I'm not talking about that.

Speaker A:

But what I am talking about is you and I encountering a situation that is, you know, chilling to the bone, which in this case is like, hey, your nephew, lot, his wife, their kids, everything, they got stolen, kidnapped, gone.

Speaker A:

And you can respond by one or two ways.

Speaker A:

Was it that fight, flight attitude that people talk about?

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

You could sit there and weep and wallow in the mire, or you can get your prayer guns going, start petitioning the Lord, start banging on heaven's door and start asking for help.

Speaker A:

Let's get it rolling now, God, let's see some differences.

Speaker A:

That's what Abraham did.

Speaker A:

He went forward.

Speaker A:

Now, he already knew he was a friend with God.

Speaker A:

So it wasn't.

Speaker A:

He knew that God was with him in that capacity.

Speaker A:

But I want you to pick up that you find out, because Abraham is a friend of God, he's like a little bit more of a warrior than I think we think of.

Speaker A:

I think we think of Abraham.

Speaker A:

And because he acquiesced to Sarai, it was, come on dude, stand up, stand up.

Speaker A:

And I think that's the wrong image.

Speaker A:

I think Abraham was probably a pretty tough dude and he went after all of those people, went after the people that had been taken captive as well as his own relative.

Speaker A:

And we're going to find out when we get back into verse 15 that he attacks from different angles, which is really fascinating by itself.

Speaker A:

But here's what.

Speaker A:

Remember not a lot of ton of warfare books written at this point, but Abraham went after it.

Speaker A:

It was not looking good.

Speaker A:

It was not a good thing.

Speaker A:

He didn't just fold camp and die.

Speaker A:

He said, nope, I'm going after this.

Speaker A:

I want to encourage you to do that in God.

Speaker A:

Sometimes you just got to go after it.

Speaker A:

Sometimes you gotta gnaw the bone till there's nothing left.

Speaker A:

That's what I'm talking about.

Speaker A:

Catching me catching that.

Speaker A:

I hope so.

Speaker A:

Some things are better caught than taught.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Take a short break, then we'll come back.

Speaker A:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience, right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker B:

Have you ever wanted to get involved with a ministry that promotes Jesus Christ as Lord, but just don't know how?

Speaker B:

Serving in ministry is a matter of devotion, time and talent.

Speaker B:

Are you looking for a place to try and test the waters?

Speaker B:

Do you want to get involved?

Speaker B:

Come join the Ambassadors Initiative.

Speaker B:

Be an ambassador for the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker B:

It doesn't pay great.

Speaker B:

Actually, it doesn't pay anything.

Speaker B:

But the eternal benefits are out of this world.

Speaker B:

Be a representative.

Speaker B:

Why not?

Speaker B:

It couldn't hurt.

Speaker B:

Well, we hope not.

Speaker B:

Anyway, you don't need to be a professionally qualified minister.

Speaker B:

You need to have a pulse.

Speaker B:

By that we mean you need to have a heart.

Speaker B:

Just go to hemustincrease.org that's hemustincrease.org click on the three lines at the top right of the website and then click on the Ambassador's Initiative link.

Speaker B:

Fill out the form and we will reach out to you.

Speaker B:

Sorry, no parking tickets will be paid for you as an ambassador through this position.

Speaker B:

What is the David spoon experience?

Speaker A:

First Corinthians, chapter 11, verse 1.

Speaker A:

Paul said, Follow me as I follow Christ.

Speaker A:

What happens when he stops following Christ?

Speaker A:

You stop following him.

Speaker A:

And what about 2 Corinthians, 2?

Speaker A:

14.

Speaker A:

Not that we rule over your faith.

Speaker A:

Paul said what?

Speaker A:

Not that we rule over your faith.

Speaker A:

So this whole notion that there's this authority structure and that people have to obey because if they don't obey in every nuance, they're going to be zapped or whatever.

Speaker A:

Ours was better.

Speaker A:

You know what our story was?

Speaker A:

Ken told the story about past congregations he had.

Speaker A:

About people who disobeyed him and spoke evil about them and how God killed them.

Speaker A:

That's what he told us.

Speaker A:

In fact, it was true that somebody out of the hundred and ten people out of his three previous churches.

Speaker A:

We'll just leave that there.

Speaker A:

One person did die.

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker A:

One out of 110.

Speaker A:

They picked up a hitchhiker on their way to Flagstaff, Arizona.

Speaker A:

Hey, I pastored in Flagstaff.

Speaker A:

And the hitchhiker ended up killing the guy because the guy was a mental case.

Speaker A:

But Ken used that after his church was closed 15 years later, saying, see?

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

But we were too dumb to know.

Speaker A:

So now you have the same guy that told us how to attack a Christian leader telling us we can no longer attack Christian leaders unless he, the Anointed of God, gives us permission.

Speaker A:

He's in charge and we can't challenge him or question him.

Speaker A:

And oh, by the way, if we talk about the Anointed or touch the prophets of God, God will kill us.

Speaker A:

And he's him.

Speaker A:

So he's the one of the Anointed, so we can't touch him.

Speaker A:

Even though none of that is scriptural, none of that is right, and all of that is whack a doodle.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

I'm going to say this.

Speaker A:

You guys should probably get this one.

Speaker A:

I'll just keep it simple.

Speaker A:

This is coming out of Galatians 5:22 23.

Speaker A:

Galatians 5:22 23.

Speaker A:

Blank of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.

Speaker A:

Against such there is no law.

Speaker A:

Is that word blank?

Speaker A:

Belief of the Spirit, fruit of the spirit, Lord of the Spirit, or greatness of the Spirit?

Speaker A:

I will say that our brother Al is rocking on two pow pows very, very quick today and as well as other people, I just want to let him know that.

Speaker A:

So if I don't text you, you did get two of those.

Speaker A:

Just so you can know.

Speaker A:

Blank of the Spirit, whatever that blank is.

Speaker A:

Love, joy, peace, long suffering, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control.

Speaker A:

So I gave you the NIV and the King James.

Speaker A:

Against such there is no law?

Speaker A:

Is that word the belief of the spirit, the fruit of the spirit, the Lord of the Spirit, or the greatness of the Spirit?

Speaker A:

Your answer is in Galatians chapter 522 and 23.

Speaker A:

3.

Speaker A:

Primarily Galatians 522 is the one you're looking for.

Speaker A:

So what is the blank of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance.

Speaker A:

Against such there is no law.

Speaker A:

What is that word, that blank?

Speaker A:

That's the question.

Speaker A:

In the meantime, how do you reach us?

Speaker A:

Oh, that's a good idea.

Speaker A:

I should tell you that.

Speaker A:

I should probably tell you.

Speaker A:

You just go outside and wave your hand, we'll pick on you.

Speaker A:

I choose him.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Davidemusincrease.org so now I'm gonna send you to the website and you're sitting there thinking, well, what's going on with the money?

Speaker A:

I'm going to send you to the website and we are going to believe together that the Lord will enable all of us to have multiplying because it's not just us that's going through it.

Speaker A:

I've caught wind of a couple other ministries that are kind of a little bit up, a little bit down.

Speaker A:

We're in that place.

Speaker A:

Ours was probably not self induced, but we didn't help it because we were offered those four weeks and it really threw us behind.

Speaker A:

If you are able to give, we want you to.

Speaker A:

If you are not able to give, we want you to pray and you can make that commitment.

Speaker A:

We really believe you can.

Speaker A:

If you are just not comfortable in any of that, don't do any of that.

Speaker A:

Just enjoy the ministry.

Speaker A:

But for the ministry to keep going the way it is, we need to have other people that will be able to do that.

Speaker A:

So we can all be praying along those lines for provisions from the Lord.

Speaker A:

I'm praying for all of your provisions on an everyday basis.

Speaker A:

I would ask you to do the same for me.

Speaker A:

Check out the website, by the way, for the giving hemustincrease.org prayer request.

Speaker A:

Hemostincrease.org praise report.

Speaker A:

Hemostincrease.org looking to give to this ministry.

Speaker A:

Hemustincrease.org confused by what's happening right now.

Speaker A:

Hemustincrease.org hemustincrease.org what's the matter, Colonel Sanders?

Speaker A:

Chicken.

Speaker A:

I can never get my wife to be as convinced as I am that Mel Brooks is a genius.

Speaker A:

I'm just letting you know right now she laughed when we watched one of his movies not that long ago.

Speaker A:

She was laughing.

Speaker A:

Come on.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Anyway, we do have somebody ready to answer trivia question.

Speaker A:

Is that correct?

Speaker A:

Yes, we have a.

Speaker A:

I believe we have a first time caller for the trivia question.

Speaker A:

Phenomenal.

Speaker A:

Send them on through.

Speaker A:

Knock knock.

Speaker A:

This is David, who am I talking to?

Speaker C:

This is Darlene.

Speaker A:

Hi Darlene.

Speaker C:

The answer is Fruits of the Spirit.

Speaker A:

That is correct.

Speaker A:

Amanda, you are absolutely 100% correct.

Speaker A:

Did you know it right away?

Speaker C:

Oh yeah.

Speaker A:

Good for you.

Speaker A:

That's good.

Speaker A:

That's good for you to know that.

Speaker A:

So some people are like fruits of the spirit.

Speaker A:

What's that it's like, okay, sit down.

Speaker A:

We have a long discussion.

Speaker C:

Yeah, I'll read their scripture.

Speaker A:

Exactly.

Speaker A:

Excellent job.

Speaker A:

Bravo to you.

Speaker A:

Really, really great.

Speaker C:

Thank you.

Speaker C:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

You're welcome.

Speaker C:

Thank you.

Speaker C:

Have a great day.

Speaker A:

You, too.

Speaker A:

God bless you.

Speaker A:

Thanks.

Speaker A:

Bye.

Speaker C:

Bye.

Speaker A:

Bye.

Speaker A:

Bye.

Speaker A:

That's fun.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

So we got this teaching I'm going to get into.

Speaker A:

I do have some jokes.

Speaker A:

I'm going to wait on those.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I'm just saying.

Speaker A:

Okay, let's see.

Speaker A:

Let's see.

Speaker A:

Let's see.

Speaker A:

See?

Speaker A:

Oh, I did not give the scripture for giving.

Speaker A:

I do want to do that.

Speaker A:

Just because I don't want you to think we'd do this.

Speaker A:

This is the thing that bums me out about the giving world.

Speaker A:

I'll just say, really, here's what the scripture says.

Speaker A:

This is what it says.

Speaker A:

Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly.

Speaker A:

Ever sows bountifully will reap bountifully.

Speaker A:

Each one must give as he's decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion.

Speaker A:

I wish we would teach more on the not reluctantly or under compulsion.

Speaker A:

For God loves a cheerful giver.

Speaker A:

When we give, it's got to be with the right heart, the right spirit, and the Lord is the only one who knows where it's really coming from.

Speaker A:

So, yeah, I think that's the key.

Speaker A:

And so if you give, you give with the right heart.

Speaker A:

Even if you don't give here, wherever you give, do it right.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Don't be like Cain.

Speaker A:

Don't be grungy giving.

Speaker A:

That didn't work out very good.

Speaker A:

So don't do that.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

All right, great.

Speaker A:

Let's go back to the text.

Speaker A:

In the meantime, we are in chapter 14.

Speaker A:

Am I in chapter 14 or 15?

Speaker A:

No, ma'am.

Speaker A:

Chapter 14, verse 15.

Speaker A:

Here's what happens.

Speaker A:

This is what scripture says.

Speaker A:

Out of the nlt, therefore, he divided his men and attacked during the night from several directions.

Speaker A:

Chedorlaomer's army fled, but Abram chased them to Haba, north of Damascus.

Speaker A:

Abraham and his allies recovered everything.

Speaker A:

The goods that had been taken, Abraham's nephew Lot with his possessions, all the women and all the other captives.

Speaker A:

So I'm going to get into the recovery thing in a minute, but first I want you to pick up on this.

Speaker A:

Abraham went in it from different directions.

Speaker A:

So there is a great number of scriptures that talk about the council, Wise counsel being an excellent approach to issues.

Speaker A:

When I was in my early early days of college.

Speaker A:

Okay, early, early days.

Speaker A:

Early, early.

Speaker A:

Like, you know, when you went to college.

Speaker A:

I went to college after I got my ged, but then stopped.

Speaker A:

And then I had to go back when I was much older to get the.

Speaker A:

The ba, the master's and the doctorate.

Speaker A:

But one of the things that that professor did, which I always thought was fascinating, I've talked about it before, and it did make an impact on me, is he would say, so here you have A and you have B.

Speaker A:

You have to choose A or B.

Speaker A:

And so people were like, okay, A or B, A or B.

Speaker A:

So A is a choice, and B is a choice.

Speaker A:

But he said, but there's always both A and B as well as neither A and B A or B.

Speaker A:

So in other words, instead of just thinking, well, I can do this or this, there's always multiple angles and multiple approaches to things.

Speaker A:

What you always want to do is do it in partnership with God.

Speaker A:

But I find it fascinating because from a strategic military point of view, Abraham and his men tacked from several different directions.

Speaker A:

And sometimes, like when I seek prayer for something, I'll just tell you, this is.

Speaker A:

This is how I correlate this kind of thing, okay?

Speaker A:

Cause I'm not there with Abraham.

Speaker A:

I'm not doing the warfare, but I understand coming from several different directions.

Speaker A:

So when I ask for prayer, I have one group that I ask for.

Speaker A:

I have a different group that I ask for.

Speaker A:

I text a whole nother person in prayer people for yet another one.

Speaker A:

And I have a fourth and a fifth that I ask for help from.

Speaker A:

And just.

Speaker A:

I don't have to say very much.

Speaker A:

I just say, hey, need prayer.

Speaker A:

Cause I'm not feeling good, you know, Bamo.

Speaker A:

Or need prayer.

Speaker A:

Cause I need wisdom in this.

Speaker A:

And then I send it to all these different groups.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because I'm going to cover every different direction, every different angle.

Speaker A:

What if one of those groups, one day, that person's just rolling in faith.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I want that person praying.

Speaker A:

That's what I'm saying.

Speaker A:

Sometimes you come at it from different directions, but do it in partnership with God.

Speaker A:

Because Abraham did everything he did in partnership with God.

Speaker A:

God made him a promise.

Speaker A:

He stood by Abraham.

Speaker A:

Abraham stood by God.

Speaker A:

Abraham was in the situation, coming out at different angles.

Speaker A:

He's got God as one of his partners.

Speaker A:

It's like, that's just genius.

Speaker A:

If you and I have God as one of our partners, how smart are we?

Speaker A:

Do you understand what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

And so what's important to get is that because Abraham's a friend of God, we should remember that we're going through warfare.

Speaker A:

We too, through Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

Are friends with God.

Speaker A:

Don't you think that's awesome what you're going through?

Speaker A:

Hey, guess what?

Speaker A:

Your partner, God.

Speaker A:

It's not the number of people, it's the quality of people.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because you and God is a majority.

Speaker A:

If every other person on the planet said no, you and God would still be a majority.

Speaker A:

It's not the number of people, it's the quality of the people.

Speaker A:

Get that?

Speaker A:

Just a little hint, okay, when we get back.

Speaker A:

This next session is really cool.

Speaker A:

I really want you to hear it.

Speaker A:

So please fight your way to stay in on this one.

Speaker A:

All right, we'll take our break here.

Speaker A:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Short break.

Speaker A:

We'll be back.

Speaker B:

What is the David Spoon Experience for?

Speaker A:

This is the kind of high priest we need.

Speaker A:

Holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens.

Speaker A:

He doesn't need to offer sacrifices every day as high priests do, first for their own sins and then those of the people.

Speaker A:

He did this once for all when he offered himself.

Speaker A:

Now watch this.

Speaker A:

Oh, boy.

Speaker A:

This is so unbelievable.

Speaker A:

Jesus is a unique kind of priest.

Speaker A:

He is your high priest.

Speaker A:

He is so unique.

Speaker A:

And you think, why?

Speaker A:

What is it that makes Jesus unique?

Speaker A:

And you already know, well, it is because he is born from the Holy Spirit and he is born from Mary.

Speaker A:

So he is fully man, fully God.

Speaker A:

And it is like, okay, I get that part.

Speaker A:

But there is something else that we miss quite often, and that is Jesus is undefiled, separated from sinners.

Speaker A:

And verse 27 says, he doesn't need to offer sacrifices every day like the high priests do, first for their own sins.

Speaker A:

So let me explain this to you.

Speaker A:

When priests or petitioners or people are praying on your behalf, every human being has to deal with their own set of sins.

Speaker A:

It doesn't matter if it's the high priest of Israel.

Speaker A:

It doesn't matter if it's the high priest.

Speaker A:

One year, 20 years later, 40 years later, there is something that takes place.

Speaker A:

It's the same dynamic that takes place when you spend time with the Lord and you come before the Lord and you thank him and you recognize the grace of God enables you to stand.

Speaker A:

Because apart from that, the grace, apart from the mercy, apart from the love that comes from the Lord in the redeeming work from Jesus Christ that you receive by faith, that he gives by grace.

Speaker A:

Apart from that, you're a mess.

Speaker A:

And so when you come before the Lord, you're like, lord, you know, please forgive me.

Speaker A:

Please don't be mad.

Speaker A:

Please, you know, don't chasten.

Speaker A:

David said it great.

Speaker A:

Don't chasten me in your hot displeasure.

Speaker A:

I don't want to get you irritated.

Speaker A:

Nah, da da da.

Speaker A:

You see, when Jesus comes and petitions for us, he doesn't have to go through that.

Speaker A:

He doesn't have to be centered on himself to be forgiven because there's nothing for him to be forgiven.

Speaker A:

He's sinless.

Speaker A:

He doesn't need to offer sacrifices for what he's done or for any of the lacking that he would have if he was a regular human priest.

Speaker A:

So when Jesus comes on our behalf, there's nothing.

Speaker A:

Get this, get this.

Speaker A:

Here it is.

Speaker A:

There's nothing distracting him in his life.

Speaker A:

He is only focused on our well being.

Speaker A:

Amazing grace, how sweet.

Speaker A:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

Speaker A:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

That's K double amen.

Speaker A:

770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

Is the book of Zipporah in the Old Testament, the New Testament or neither?

Speaker A:

Is the book of Zipporah in the Old Testament, the New Testament or neither?

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

Just making sure everybody knows what's going on.

Speaker A:

All right, now listen to what is being asked.

Speaker A:

Is the book of Zipporah in the Old Testament the New Testament or neither?

Speaker A:

If you think you know, you are welcome to reach out to us.

Speaker A:

We're going to do a very short history.

Speaker A:

When I say short, I mean, how do I say this?

Speaker A:

Well, there's only one thing on there that I think is really important.

Speaker A:

So very short history.

Speaker A:

So go ahead and play history.

Speaker A:

Let's go live in the past.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Just for everybody to understand.

Speaker A:

I think this is kind of sad.

Speaker A:

Don't get mad at me.

Speaker A:

I still think it's sad.

Speaker A:

1913, on this very day, the United States started the income tax.

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

Not in:

Speaker A:

Wow.

Speaker A:

That's what started the income tax.

Speaker A:

Started 112 years ago today.

Speaker A:

Also:

Speaker A:

For those that if you watched this?

Speaker A:

I would be very amazed.

Speaker A:

But J.

Speaker A:

Fred Muggs joined the Today Show.

Speaker A:

That's the chimpanzee named J.

Speaker A:

Fred Muggs joined the NBC's Today Show.

Speaker A:

Okay, just leave that there.

Speaker A:

Here's the only reason I did history at all.

Speaker A:

Just so you can know.

Speaker A:

Here's the reason I did history.

Speaker A:

Cause today is National Carrot Cake Day.

Speaker A:

And I love carrot cake.

Speaker A:

Sorry, I just love it.

Speaker A:

I guess carrot cake's not your thing, huh?

Speaker A:

Not for me.

Speaker A:

Not for me.

Speaker A:

I love carrot cake.

Speaker A:

I don't know what it is.

Speaker A:

And then let's see.

Speaker A:

No, no, that's all.

Speaker A:

I'm not taking any more.

Speaker A:

Okay, we do have somebody on the call.

Speaker A:

All right, let's send them on through.

Speaker A:

Knock, knock.

Speaker A:

This is David.

Speaker A:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker D:

Hey, David, it's Shel.

Speaker A:

Hey, Shell, how are ya?

Speaker D:

I am good today, my friend.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Nice day, huh?

Speaker D:

Oh, you can't argue that.

Speaker A:

I mean, it's just nice.

Speaker A:

I know.

Speaker A:

I love it when it's nice like that.

Speaker A:

Just so nice.

Speaker A:

Anyway.

Speaker A:

All right, Michael.

Speaker D:

I could almost envision the beach in my near future.

Speaker A:

That's pretty good.

Speaker A:

That's pretty good.

Speaker A:

All right, my friend.

Speaker A:

Is the book of Zipporah in the Old Testament?

Speaker A:

The New Testament, or neither?

Speaker D:

I'm gonna have to go with neither.

Speaker D:

I've never heard of that.

Speaker A:

That is correct.

Speaker A:

Am I now?

Speaker A:

Zipporah was the wife of Moses.

Speaker A:

That's who she was.

Speaker A:

So she doesn't have her own book?

Speaker A:

That's right.

Speaker A:

Excellent job.

Speaker A:

Phenomenal, bro.

Speaker D:

Thank you, sir.

Speaker A:

You are more than welcome.

Speaker A:

Any prayers needed?

Speaker D:

Just the usual.

Speaker D:

I was going to tell you.

Speaker D:

I wanted to say an oddball prayer.

Speaker D:

Answer to prayer.

Speaker D:

But the longer I thought about it, the more I said there's nothing odd.

Speaker D:

There's nothing unique.

Speaker D:

There's nothing that cannot be answered correct.

Speaker D:

Bear with me just one second.

Speaker D:

I will say this.

Speaker D:

I have been without air conditioning or heater in my car since May.

Speaker D:

And I've gone through surgery.

Speaker D:

Carotid artery surgery, the whole nine yards.

Speaker D:

Someday there'll be relief.

Speaker D:

So I said, you know, lord, help me get my car fixed.

Speaker D:

I've taken numerous shops, numerous shops.

Speaker D:

And in the end, I have no idea what fixed it, other than the Lord.

Speaker D:

I think I double tapped the key on the ignition.

Speaker D:

And my air conditioner started working.

Speaker D:

Along with the defroster and the heater and everything else that blows air in this car.

Speaker D:

And I will say this.

Speaker D:

It wasn't me that fixed.

Speaker D:

Wasn't one of the few mechanic shops that fixed.

Speaker D:

Really was.

Speaker D:

Our Father in heaven.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Isn't that cool?

Speaker D:

Nothing, Nothing too small, too trivial, too name your, put your word in there that cannot be heard and answered by God.

Speaker A:

Yeah, Amen.

Speaker A:

I love it.

Speaker A:

Don't you love being a kid of the King?

Speaker D:

Oh, absolutely.

Speaker A:

It's just so good.

Speaker A:

Let me pray over you that the Lord bless you.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Is that cool?

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Oh, absolutely.

Speaker A:

No, no, no, no.

Speaker A:

Let me pray.

Speaker A:

Father, I lift up shell to you.

Speaker A:

Thank you for his testimony.

Speaker A:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

That he recognizes it's you.

Speaker A:

Lord, you give us our breath and that gives us the ability to move, to do everything and anything.

Speaker A:

Everything we have received from you is a gift we've earned.

Speaker A:

None of it.

Speaker A:

Your graciousness just far exceeds our goodness.

Speaker A:

Us.

Speaker A:

I ask you for in a special way, our brother, that he would receive a blessing from you, from your presence.

Speaker A:

Something that would come his way, that he would say, wow, nice, nice gracelet.

Speaker A:

And it would just bless and encourage him.

Speaker A:

And then I pray he would share that with some others.

Speaker A:

Keep him where he needs to be.

Speaker A:

Get him those opportunities that he's looking for.

Speaker A:

Open the doors wide.

Speaker A:

Let no man shut it.

Speaker A:

Open the door for him to step through.

Speaker A:

We ask for your blessings in him, on him, through him, and to him in Jesus name, Amen and Amen.

Speaker D:

Thank you so much.

Speaker A:

You got it, my brother.

Speaker A:

God bless you.

Speaker D:

God bless you.

Speaker D:

I will talk to you again soon.

Speaker A:

You got it.

Speaker A:

Alrighty.

Speaker A:

Alright, bye bye.

Speaker A:

All right, let's go back to this text.

Speaker A:

I got about five, three and a half minutes.

Speaker A:

I like shows like this because they're so fast.

Speaker A:

It's like zoom, zoom, zoom.

Speaker A:

All right, here we go.

Speaker A:

So Abraham chased them all, got them all done.

Speaker A:

Verse 16 of Genesis 14 says this Abram and his allies, see, they had people fighting with him, right?

Speaker A:

Recovered everything, the goods that had been taken, Abraham's nephew lot, his possessions, and all the women and all the other captives.

Speaker A:

So this is really important portion because what I want you to pick up on or what I want to communicate, as long as I don't blow, it is Simply this verse 16 says that Abraham and his allies recovered everything.

Speaker A:

There's another verse in the Old Testament says almost the exact same thing.

Speaker A:

In 1st Samuel, chapter 30, when David was at Ziklag and they took all the children and all the wives and David chased the Amalekites and recovered everything.

Speaker A:

What I want us to understand is that God knows when things are taken from us and he is more than able to help us recover all of it.

Speaker A:

The rest of the Verse explains that Abraham recovered the goods that had been taken, his nephew Lot, as well as Lot's possession, all the women and all the other captives.

Speaker A:

It should be noted that when God brings recovery.

Speaker A:

So I wrote this note.

Speaker A:

When God brings recovery and redemption in our lives, it's not just a little bit.

Speaker A:

It's everything.

Speaker A:

Spiritually, physically, emotionally, psychologically as well.

Speaker A:

In God, we recover all of it.

Speaker A:

That's how much he loves you.

Speaker A:

The losses that we've suffered being connected to God will never stay losses because you and I can never beat God giving, no matter how hard we try.

Speaker A:

And when we give up, something or something is lost or something is taken.

Speaker A:

And it is between us and the Lord.

Speaker A:

The Lord will never leave you short.

Speaker A:

You think well, but the world functions a different way.

Speaker A:

It sure does.

Speaker A:

That's why we walk by faith and not by sight.

Speaker A:

That's why the Bible says, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

Speaker A:

That's why when Elijah prayed for his servant to see, all of a sudden the armies, all of a sudden the angels, the chariots, everything was just before him.

Speaker A:

And he was like going, whoa.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because there's more going on.

Speaker A:

And the Lord is aware.

Speaker A:

Some of you have had a lot of stuff taken.

Speaker A:

Now, I'm not denying it.

Speaker A:

I stand there right with you.

Speaker A:

But I will also say you will never outgive God.

Speaker A:

You will never sacrifice more than God has given unto you and poured upon you.

Speaker A:

You will be recovering and redeeming in every realm because that is how much God loves you.

Speaker A:

Not because you're great, but because he's great.

Speaker A:

That's why.

Speaker A:

Get it all right.

Speaker A:

For those wondering, I'm not texting till after 4.

Speaker A:

In the meantime, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the true station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

22 and a half hour break that we'll come back.

Speaker A:

More insanity with spirnanity.

Speaker A:

Talk to you then.

Speaker A:

Can't stand the skill, can't stand the shame.

Speaker A:

It may be false, but it feels the same.

Speaker A:

So I punish myself.

Speaker A:

I go down to the jail of my soul.
