Listeners are encouraged to draw closer to the Lord daily, never be ashamed of their faith, and always be ready to serve others. With a mix of personal stories and biblical wisdom, this episode inspires and uplifts, reminding us of the tangible ways God works in our lives and the lives of those around us.

The David Spoon Experience dives into the depths of faith, community, and the divine in this compelling episode. David Spoon captures the essence of spiritual living by urging listeners to understand the significance of their relationship with God, especially as they navigate the complexities of life. The episode begins with Spoon's vibrant commentary on the power of faith and the necessity of facing the world with assurance in God's help. He references the Book of Jeremiah, setting a biblical foundation for the principles he shares throughout the show.

As the conversation unfolds, Spoon thoughtfully examines the various ways God reveals Himself to humanity, from the beauty of creation to the stillness found in prayer. He emphasizes the importance of being aware of these revelations as a means of strengthening one's faith. Spoon's humor punctuates the deeper themes, making the teachings accessible and engaging, while also sharing his personal testimony of transformation through faith. His anecdotes resonate with listeners, reminding them of the journey they each undertake in their spiritual lives.

The latter half of the episode takes a more interactive approach, as Spoon invites listeners to share their prayer requests and testimonies, reinforcing a sense of community. He addresses the importance of collective prayer and support among believers, encouraging listeners to bear one another's burdens as a reflection of Christ's love. This communal aspect is vital in Spoon's message, highlighting that faith is not just a personal journey but also a shared experience. And now for something completely different.

David Spoon:

Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.

David Spoon:

It's fantastic, phenomenal, always fun, usually somewhat fascinating.

David Spoon:

Friday as we head into the weekend not being afraid, even if the earth gives way or the mountains fall into the seas, because our help comes from the Lord first.

David Spoon:

It's Friday, little buckaroos, which means it's time for Dr.

David Spoon:

Dave's devotional Diamonds of the Day.

David Spoon:

And we head into the weekend with four very powerful lessons that will help us think right, say it right, and do it right so that it will be all right.

David Spoon:

We open up in the book of Jeremiah, chapter 31, where the Lord commands his people.

David Spoon:

What's amazing about this lesson is that if we are obedient to it, it provides confirmation of our connection to Jesus.

David Spoon:

Our next review is so powerful, I probably not going to be able to communicate it at the level it deserves.

David Spoon:

We find ourselves in Exodus chapter 5 and we discover something very revealing about the Lord himself.

David Spoon:

And you know what it is that the Lord is very revealing.

David Spoon:

Ha.

David Spoon:

We examine the top seven ways that God reveals himself because we want to make sure that we are paying attention.

David Spoon:

We need to implement these as a regular part of our lives.

David Spoon:

And finally, we are going to close out the show this week with a fascinating yet humbling declaration from Jesus.

David Spoon:

We are all so smart, aren't we?

David Spoon:

We all know what's going on, don't we?

David Spoon:

We have it all figured out.

David Spoon:

We know where the ducks are going to go next.

David Spoon:

We know what's coming.

David Spoon:

The only problem with all that thinking is that Jesus says, no, you don't.

David Spoon:

Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Local, national and heavenly talk.

David Spoon:

Here's what else we're looking at during the show.

David Spoon:

Lessons for survey, Surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities and oy vey, so much more.

David Spoon:

Now remember, it's not professional radio.

David Spoon:

It's just radio.

David Spoon:

And to make sure we understand it's not professional radio, we talk to the Superman of professional radio.

David Spoon:

Let's see Captain Marvel, Super Superman.

David Spoon:

See how that Worked out the Superman of professional radio, our very own Jam and Jacob.

David Spoon:

Jam and Jacob is the David Smoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Professional radio.

Speaker C:

That is high praise, saying I'm the Superman, but no, it is not, David.

David Spoon:

It is not professional radio.

David Spoon:

See, that's sad, because even the Superman knows it's not professional radio.

David Spoon:

What is it?

David Spoon:

It's just radio.

David Spoon:

That's it.

David Spoon:

Just think how many more I could do with this, because I got Captain America going and then Superman.

David Spoon:

I could just do this all day long, you know it's not gonna run out.

David Spoon:

You know that, right?

David Spoon:

There's like a thousand characters.

David Spoon:

I'm just pointing that out to you.

Speaker C:

Just every time you do it now, you're just checking it off.

Speaker C:

Superhero character.

David Spoon:

Nobody's heard this.

David Spoon:

Nobody's heard this.

David Spoon:

Nobody's heard this.

David Spoon:

It'll be more funny when I repeat one.

David Spoon:

Anyway, bottom line is, this is radio.

David Spoon:

What does that mean?

David Spoon:

Nothing.

David Spoon:

It's a place of fellowship.

David Spoon:

That's what it means.

David Spoon:

We're just fellowshipping together.

David Spoon:

You think?

David Spoon:

Can you fellowship at a distance?

David Spoon:

Paul did.

David Spoon:

He did it with the church when he wrote the letter to Colossians.

David Spoon:

So, yeah, you can.

David Spoon:

He never even met them, yet they were both blessed by the fellowship they had with one another.

David Spoon:

That's what we're doing.

David Spoon:

Same thing.

David Spoon:

And so we're curious.

David Spoon:

We want to know.

David Spoon:

We're just weird that way.

David Spoon:

How are you doing?

David Spoon:

How are things for you?

David Spoon:

So there's great ways you can reach out to the show and connect.

David Spoon:

You can simply send an email.

David Spoon:

Davidemusincrease.org you can do that live during the show.

David Spoon:

Unless it's the replay live during the show.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Or.

David Spoon:

Or you can call us.

David Spoon:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

What?

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Jamming.

David Spoon:

Talking to Jim and Jacob is like heading into the weekend.

Speaker C:

Thank you, David.

Speaker C:

Happy Friday.

Speaker C:

I wish I could have added the Superman theme.

David Spoon:

That's real quick.

David Spoon:

Yeah, get that on next time.

David Spoon:

We'll do that for next week.

David Spoon:

Start pulling out different ones at different times.

David Spoon:

We'll just have fun with it.

David Spoon:

You got anything going on this weekend?

David Spoon:

You're working this weekend?

Speaker C:

Yes, I am working tomorrow with recording for Don and Cohen.

David Spoon:

That's two weeks.

David Spoon:

Is that two weeks in a row?

David Spoon:

Two weekends in a row you've been doing that?

Speaker C:

Yeah, we had something come up last week, so we're having to do it tomorrow.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Speaker C:

Yeah, it'll be.

Speaker C:

It'll be fine.

David Spoon:

Any other plans?

David Spoon:

You're going to be watching any old football?

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker C:

Sunday nights, some.

Speaker C:

Some big games.

Speaker C:

David.

David Spoon:

We'll.

Speaker C:

We'll see how those go.

Speaker C:

We have Jake's take coming up, right?

David Spoon:

Yep, got Jake's take coming up.

David Spoon:

That'll be happening in just a little while.

David Spoon:

So I'll give you that chance to share with everybody.

David Spoon:

It's like having a live TV Guide on the radio, only it's just for.

Speaker C:

Football or like the.

Speaker C:

I remember the old.

Speaker C:

They don't do it anymore.

Speaker C:

I wish they did the old Sports center where they would have on the side, like the things coming up.

Speaker C:

They just don't do that anymore.

David Spoon:

I know.

Speaker C:

ESPN is just not as good as.

David Spoon:

They used to be, but now they make you watch it.

Speaker C:

Yep.

David Spoon:

All right, here's the bottom line.

David Spoon:

The bottom line is, why would you, and for any reason, reach out to us because you know that we're just a little strange.

David Spoon:

But then again, you're listening to this show, so how much strange does that make you?

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

It's simple.

David Spoon:

Maybe you've got a praise report or a testimony you want to share, and we want you to have that opportunity, that venue to do that.

David Spoon:

Why?

David Spoon:

Because the Bible says, let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

David Spoon:

And when God does something phenomenal in our lives, we should share that.

David Spoon:

Because that's one of the reasons God does phenomenal things in our lives.

David Spoon:

And what we can't do as Christians, and too many Christians do, is we ask God to give us deliverance in one thing.

David Spoon:

He gets us through the first part of it.

David Spoon:

And then instead of giving him acknowledgment or praise, we then say, what are you going to do for me next?

David Spoon:

And that's a bad attitude for Christians to have.

David Spoon:

We should be abundant in Thanksgiving.

David Spoon:

Colossians 2.

David Spoon:

7 says that there should be an overflow of Thanksgiving.

David Spoon:

So we need to do that.

David Spoon:

You're thinking, why?

David Spoon:

Because not only is that commanded, it's deserved.

David Spoon:

In other words.

David Spoon:

Let me say it differently.

David Spoon:

In other words, God does these great things for us.

David Spoon:

And then instead of saying thank, thank you.

David Spoon:

That in these 10 part series, you've got me through seven parts, we go, where's part number eight?

David Spoon:

That's a wrong spirit.

David Spoon:

And the Lord, I'm telling you, that's not appreciate.

David Spoon:

I don't appreciate that when it happens to me.

David Spoon:

If I'm doing stuff for Noel and I've got a list and my list is like six things and I get five of them done, I don't want the one question to be, what's number six?

David Spoon:

That's a wrong attitude.

David Spoon:

And that's something we all need to check ourselves in.

David Spoon:

You understand what I'm saying there?

David Spoon:

So it can be a praise report, it can be a prayer request.

David Spoon:

Because we love praying for one another.

David Spoon:

Because it joins us, it connects us, it helps us fulfill the law of Christ.

David Spoon:

According to Galatians 6, two bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.

David Spoon:

Okay, let's do it.

David Spoon:

That's how we do that.

David Spoon:

And it could be just something you want to share.

David Spoon:

We'll do trivia in a little bit.

David Spoon:

We'll do that in a second.

David Spoon:

We do have somebody that is on the line and so we want to give them a chance to power on through.

David Spoon:

Go ahead and send them through.

David Spoon:

Knock knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker D:

This is Brother Roger again on Friday.

David Spoon:

Brother Roger again on Friday instead of Thursday.

David Spoon:

That's because we had limited time yesterday, huh?

David Spoon:

So we ran a tight.

Speaker D:

No, the little foxes messed with my car radio.

David Spoon:

The little foxes spoil the Vine.

David Spoon:

That's it right there.

David Spoon:

I didn't know your radio was called the vine, but that's good to know.

David Spoon:

How are you doing?

David Spoon:

How are you doing?

Speaker D:

They've been messing with me a little bit here and there, but I'm not going to be defeated by a little fox.

David Spoon:

Amen, brother.

Speaker D:

I'm going to pull off the big guns and shoot them.

David Spoon:

That's right.

David Spoon:

You can't let little foxes spoil the vine.

David Spoon:

That's exactly what the scripture says.

David Spoon:

Exactly correct.

David Spoon:

Amundo.

David Spoon:

What's happening with you, my brother?

Speaker D:

Well, first I got a joke and then I want to give you an update.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

You got a joke and then an update.

David Spoon:

Now I'm just going to ask you this ahead of time.

David Spoon:

Is it a good joke?

David Spoon:

That's a joke.

David Spoon:

Never mind.

David Spoon:

It doesn't matter.

Speaker D:

Did you like my taco joke last time?

David Spoon:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

Yep.

David Spoon:

That.

David Spoon:

You got some good stuff.

David Spoon:

I'm not gonna say, you know you have some good stuff.

David Spoon:

I like it.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

The Floor is yours.

David Spoon:

What do you got for a joke?

Speaker D:

Okay.

Speaker D:

Ask a new one.

Speaker D:

Taco.

Speaker D:

How do you spell taco?

Speaker D:

Backwards.

David Spoon:

How do you spell taco?

David Spoon:

Backwards?

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Oh, cat.

David Spoon:

O.

David Spoon:

Cat.

David Spoon:

Oh, my.

David Spoon:

Are you reading a cat joke book?

David Spoon:

I just gotta know.

Speaker D:

Why do I get the horn?

David Spoon:

It's up to him.

David Spoon:

It's up to him.

David Spoon:

Believe me.

David Spoon:

I've told jokes where he was like, that was terrible.

David Spoon:

I'm like, not if you're over 50, it isn't.

Speaker D:

Well, I thought everybody.

Speaker D:

Jo enjoyed the cat jokes.

David Spoon:

That's okay.

David Spoon:

That's fine.

David Spoon:

Aunt Deb loves him.

Speaker D:

Anyway, let me get to the update.

Speaker D:

Well, there's been a little bit.

Speaker D:

Some setbacks with some good reports.

Speaker D:

And the good reports when she had her surgery.

Speaker D:

The good reports is that they.

Speaker D:

The.

Speaker D:

The doctor that did the surgery before, did the surgery prayed with us and.

Speaker D:

And everything.

Speaker D:

And the nurses that helped with the surgery prayed with us on separate occasions.

David Spoon:

Wow.

Speaker D:

And I.

Speaker D:

I thought that was just so fantastic that they.

Speaker D:

And they offered prayer that we didn't ask them to pray.

Speaker D:

They offered prayer.

Speaker D:

Of course.

Speaker D:

I'm always accepting prayer, you know, and anytime anybody says, can I pray for you?

Speaker D:

Well, let's go ahead.

Speaker D:

Pray.

David Spoon:

That's good.

David Spoon:

That's so great, though, that they offered that to you.

David Spoon:

I mean, that's just a blessing right there.

David Spoon:

They had to give you a sense of comfort right off the bat.

Speaker D:

Yeah, it's a.

Speaker D:

It was comforting to my wife, and it was also comforting to me.

David Spoon:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

A lot of people don't realize that I went through something, too.

Speaker D:

You know, not just her, but I went through something too.

Speaker D:

I mean, and.

Speaker D:

But I tried to give it to the Lord, and I gave it to the Lord, and I gave it to the Lord, and then I gave it to the Lord, and then I gave it to him again.

Speaker D:

So hopefully the again part start.

Speaker D:

The again part sticks this time.

Speaker D:

So.

David Spoon:

I feel you.

David Spoon:

I feel you on that one, people.

David Spoon:

We give it to the Lord, and then what do we do?

David Spoon:

We say, it's yours.

David Spoon:

And then we turn around, and with our other hand, we grab it and put it back in our pocket.

David Spoon:

That's what people do.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

I call it honest.

Speaker D:

I call it the cast in your care, but you reel it back in.

David Spoon:

Yep.

Speaker D:

But anyway, that.

Speaker D:

But everything.

Speaker D:

The doctor that did the surgery says they got 17 lymph nodes, two lumps, and they.

Speaker D:

Pretty sure they got all the cancer.

Speaker D:

And then.

Speaker D:

But they're gonna still do.

Speaker D:

Maybe in a couple weeks, a little radiation, you know, see if there's any hidden things.

Speaker D:

In there.

David Spoon:

That's good, though.

David Spoon:

That's good that they're.

David Spoon:

They're going to the depth to make sure that there's nothing left.

David Spoon:

That's a good thing.

Speaker D:

That's a.

David Spoon:

That's a good thing, not a bad thing.

David Spoon:

So praise the Lord that they made that much progress on this one.

David Spoon:

That's actually quite excellent.

David Spoon:

Very, very.

Speaker D:

And I'd like to tell everybody about that.

Speaker D:

Jesus had a physician on his staff, so don't be weary and using physicians for your healing.

David Spoon:

That's right.

Speaker D:

My word for everyone today.

David Spoon:

That's a good word, Roger.

David Spoon:

That's a really good word.

David Spoon:

It's funny because people would make fun of Oral Roberts, but he was the first person in the faith to build a hospital.

David Spoon:

And it was just like, wait a second.

David Spoon:

That's pretty good.

David Spoon:

I mean, he knew what was going on.

David Spoon:

It's like, hello, we trust the Lord.

David Spoon:

If that doesn't work, we're going to use whatever graces he's given through other means, like, absolutely.

David Spoon:

So that's very, very, very good.

David Spoon:

I want to pray over you and your wife, though.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Speaker D:

Okay, I'm ready for prayer.

David Spoon:

Let's do it.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now.

David Spoon:

We thank you for our brother Roger, and we love him, Lord.

David Spoon:

We support him, we pray with him, we laugh with him, we cry with him.

David Spoon:

We stand with him and his wife.

David Spoon:

And Lord, we just thank you that you did as much work as you did through the physicians.

David Spoon:

We thank you for what we do see.

David Spoon:

We're not complaining about what we don't see.

David Spoon:

We thank for what we did, and you gave such clearance and such grace in that scenario.

David Spoon:

We greatly, greatly appreciate that, Lord.

David Spoon:

What we're asking you is that you would continue to move in that same direction, eradicating all that's left so there's nothing in Roger wife's body, nothing in her body that will come against her that same way that she would be free from that.

David Spoon:

But Lord, we thank you for the progress we've made to this point, and we anticipate thank you for what's coming up because you are gracious.

David Spoon:

We pray for peace for their family.

David Spoon:

And I just pray you would encourage Roger to just rest.

David Spoon:

It's so hard, Lord, to not take it back.

David Spoon:

It's hard for us in our flesh.

David Spoon:

But, Lord, enable him by the power of your spirit to just let it into the hands that you have for him that he can find comfort and he can cast his care upon you and know that you care for him and for his wife.

David Spoon:

We ask you to bless them both the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

David Spoon:

Amen.

David Spoon:

And amen.

Speaker D:

Yeah, and the doctor said everybody has the same fate in the end, so you should read.

Speaker D:

If you're a servant of the Lord and you praise the Lord and you believe in the Lord, you should rejoice in the end.

David Spoon:

Amen.

Speaker D:

Everybody got the.

Speaker D:

There's going to be an end to what happens on this earth, but there's going to be rejoicing forever where, where we're going if we believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

David Spoon:

Amen.

Speaker D:

And I'm going to read.

Speaker D:

I'm going to be the.

Speaker D:

I'm going to be on the side of rejoicing.

David Spoon:

Amen.

David Spoon:

Great phone call.

David Spoon:

Great job, Roger.

David Spoon:

I really appreciate it.

Speaker D:

I appreciate you guys.

Speaker D:

I did feel the prayers of my friends and neighbors and loved ones and church and the church family that I found on the radio.

Speaker D:

I call them church family.

Speaker D:

Because when I came to you with what was going on, I asked, I said, I covet your prayers, and I really do.

Speaker D:

I really coveted your prayers.

Speaker D:

And the prayers is what helped me get through this.

Speaker D:

That's some of what helped me.

Speaker D:

But most.

Speaker D:

Most of all that I enjoyed having the spirit of the Lord presence.

Speaker D:

You know, he really was with me and comforting me and, and, and was with me when I was in, waiting in this, on the surgery for three hours or four hours.

Speaker D:

I forget exactly.

Speaker D:

There he was with me, just, just comforting me and saying, you know, whatever happens, I've got this, Roger.

Speaker D:

And you're.

Speaker D:

You're going to get through all of what's going on in your life, even if it is a little fox trying to spoil the vine.

Speaker D:

You're going to get through it and you're going to see what's.

Speaker D:

You're going to see me in the end, when all this is over with, you're gonna see me.

Speaker D:

I felt like the Lord really said that to me, and I feel like he's saying that to everyone that's a believer and the audience today.

Speaker D:

Someday you're really gonna get to see him.

Speaker D:

And then you'll know without a shadow of a doubt what's going on.

Speaker D:

And we already should know that.

Speaker D:

We already should know that.

Speaker D:

And I'm taking up your time.

Speaker D:

Thank you, Jesus.

David Spoon:

All right, my brother.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

Speaker D:

All right, Bye bye.

David Spoon:

Bye bye.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

Words of wisdom for our very own Roger.

David Spoon:

Again, please take those to heart.

David Spoon:

There's some really good material that he shared with you.

David Spoon:

And especially understanding that, look, we are in him.

David Spoon:

This isn't a Fairy tale.

David Spoon:

This is the way we live our lives.

David Spoon:

I understand the worldly people think that, but when they are confronted with Jesus face to face, they will be singing another tune.

David Spoon:

In fact, they won't be singing it, they'll be moaning it completely.

David Spoon:

All right, we'll take a short break here, then we'll come back.

David Spoon:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the true station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker E:

The Christian faith is being attacked.

Speaker E:

Fifty years ago, people would disagree with Christianity but would sense of respect.

Speaker E:

Those days are over.

Speaker E:

The rage, the flesh the enemy.

Speaker E:

And the atmosphere of sin is growing and growing.

Speaker E:

Jesus said in Matthew 24, the love of many will grow cold.

Speaker E:

And if it's not the end now, it's certainly a lot closer than it was yesterday.

Speaker E:

You may be from a Baptist background.

Speaker E:

David Spoon has that.

Speaker E:

You may have a Pentecostal background.

Speaker E:

He has that too.

Speaker E:

You may have a non denominational background.

Speaker E:

Yep, he's got that as well.

Speaker E:

You may be from the Church of Christ Presbyterian Methodist Church of God or some other denomination, but if you're looking for a show that's Bible based, spirit led and a bit nutty, give David a listen for a while.

Speaker E:

If you like it, great.

Speaker E:

If not, no worries.

Speaker E:

The David Spoon Experience.

Speaker E:

The David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker F:

David, this is brother Ace.

David Spoon:

Hey, brother Ace.

David Spoon:

How are you, my bro?

Speaker F:

I'm doing good.

Speaker F:

I'm under a tree in the shade and eating chicken and dumplings.

David Spoon:

Nice.

David Spoon:

That's nice.

David Spoon:

Good for you.

David Spoon:

That's how you're in the shade eating chicken and dumplings.

David Spoon:

I like it.

David Spoon:

All right, I gave this clue and I think some people might have not quite caught it, so I'm hoping you did.

David Spoon:

Which king said.

David Spoon:

As I was lying in my bed, the images and visions that passed through my mind terrified me.

Speaker F:

Are you looking for a Nebuchadnezzar?

David Spoon:

That is correct, sir.

David Spoon:

Yes, sir.

David Spoon:

Remember now, the reason that I gave the moo sound is because he was driven and he ate with the cattle.

David Spoon:

And so I just gave the moo.

Speaker F:

Yeah, that was quite an experience for the man to be a king and then I had to eat and be like a king.

Speaker F:

Yeah, well, that's.

Speaker F:

God's got to humble us sometimes.

Speaker F:

And we just got to accept it, you know?

David Spoon:

That's exactly right.

David Spoon:

You know, you think about that guy and you think he, that guy, he would have been.

David Spoon:

And even Daniel warned him he would have been fine except he walked out on that he walked out on his foray and he goes, I have built all this.

David Spoon:

It's like, yeah, that was a dumb thing to say right there.

David Spoon:

That.

David Spoon:

That was it.

David Spoon:

You and Elsie the cow.

David Spoon:

That's what happened right there.

David Spoon:

That was bad.

Speaker F:

That's exactly right.

Speaker F:

Well, it's good.

Speaker F:

I mean, life is full of surprises.

Speaker F:

But one thing you cannot do is be haughty in there in the presence of the Lord.

Speaker F:

I know that.

David Spoon:

Amen, brother.

Speaker F:

All right, let's get talk to you.

Speaker F:

I encourage Gabriel to continue to rise to his profession.

Speaker F:

It'll be good.

David Spoon:

Yep, you got it.

David Spoon:

And we'll work it all together and we'll help him get there.

David Spoon:

Right?

David Spoon:

All right, brother.

David Spoon:

Love you in the Lord, bro.

Speaker F:

Yeah, we love you too.

Speaker F:

Thanks for praying for me.

Speaker F:

I appreciate that.

David Spoon:

You got it.

David Spoon:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

That's Ka, Man 770, the Truth Station right here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Sometimes when I think about brother Ace, I think that's what he's doing up in heaven.

David Spoon:

I know people are like crazy.

David Spoon:

Nope, I actually think it.

David Spoon:

He's up there sitting under a tree eating chicken and dumplings.

David Spoon:

You think, well, that's crazy Dave.

David Spoon:

No, he liked that.

David Spoon:

I think that's one of the great things about God.

David Spoon:

I think people miss a little bit about that.

David Spoon:

All right, let us set up a couple things.

David Spoon:

Number one, I'm going to do a trivia question.

David Spoon:

Number two, we're going to do our DNA.

David Spoon:

We've got Jake's take, We've got the teachings.

David Spoon:

We've got a lot we got to try and get done.

David Spoon:

I just don't know how we get this stuff done.

David Spoon:

The show just seems to zip by from time to time.

David Spoon:

I can't say much about that.

David Spoon:

Let's keep it really simple.

David Spoon:

What man Old Testament, what man had seven sons who always celebrated their birthdays with a feast?

David Spoon:

With a feast, with partying?

David Spoon:

Was that Solomon, Job, Hanun, or Jonah?

David Spoon:

What man had seven sons and always celebrated their birthdays with a feast?

David Spoon:

Solomon, Job, Hanan, or Jonah?

David Spoon:

If you think you know, you can reach out to us.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Additionally, you can send an email davidemustincrease.org okay, now one thing I wanna do even before we take any calls or anything else, is I wanna pray for Jill, who's Nancy's daughter.

David Spoon:

And we wanna just pray that the Lord will help.

David Spoon:

She's got an upcoming thing taking place on Monday, so just take your faith and combine it with mine real quick.

David Spoon:

And let's just pray real fast about that, because we believe God's graciousness is good for that.

David Spoon:

Let's pray.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now.

David Spoon:

We lift up Nancy and her husband and Jill, who's got some things she's got to take care of, Lord, on Monday, a little bit of doctor situation with some surgery.

David Spoon:

And we're asking just for the most simplistic, absolutely excellent news.

David Spoon:

Not even good news, Lord.

David Spoon:

I mean, good news is good, but we're asking for excellent news for Jill and for Nancy and for her family that you would bless and encourage them and comfort them, and there would not be a spirit of fear that attaches with anything but a great sense of confidence and expectation.

David Spoon:

Please bless them in that situation.

David Spoon:

We have great confidence in you, God, because you're awesome.

David Spoon:

That's why we have confidence in you, because of who you are.

David Spoon:

We appreciate it so much.

David Spoon:

We pray all that in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior.

David Spoon:

Amen and amen.

David Spoon:

Okay, we're going to get to the trivia question.

David Spoon:

We do have somebody on the line.

David Spoon:

It's a pretty straightforward question.

David Spoon:

What man had seven sons who always celebrated their birthdays with a feast?

David Spoon:

Solomon, Job, Hanun, or Jonah.

David Spoon:

Here we go.

David Spoon:

Let's bring that person through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker G:

Hey, this is Will Rogers.

Speaker G:

I'm not in a hurry today.

David Spoon:

Right now, Will, I've got to say.

David Spoon:

I'm just going to say, and I did send you that text.

David Spoon:

That was the coolest, fastest, most direct answer to trivia ever.

David Spoon:

I mean, I've done 15,000 questions.

David Spoon:

That was the fastest thing I've ever heard.

David Spoon:

You get the gold medal, my friend.

David Spoon:

That is pretty good.

David Spoon:

All right, ready?

Speaker G:

Well, I only did it fast because you said you needed it quick.

David Spoon:

And you were very, very helpful in that situation.

David Spoon:

So I want to let you know how much I appreciate that.

David Spoon:

Very, very funny.

David Spoon:

All right, here we go.

David Spoon:

Ready?

David Spoon:

What man had seven sons who always celebrated their birthdays with a feast?

David Spoon:

I guess they were kind of little bit party people.

David Spoon:

Solomon, Job, Hanun, or Jonah.

Speaker G:

I think it was Job.

David Spoon:

You are correct, Amunda, sir.

David Spoon:

And people might say, well, why do you say that they were partying?

David Spoon:

What's the deal?

David Spoon:

Because Job would pray for them that they didn't curse God in their festivities, which means they maybe had a little bit less control Than normal.

David Spoon:

Kind of gives you the implication maybe those weren't the best parties.

David Spoon:

This kind of, like, attitude.

David Spoon:

So, excellent job, sir.

David Spoon:

Excellent.

David Spoon:

How art thou?

David Spoon:

How art thou, wife?

David Spoon:

The family.

David Spoon:

How are you doing?

Speaker G:

Well, I got me a little arthritis in my knees, so now I look like an old man hobbling.

David Spoon:

Wait, wait.

David Spoon:

I'm just gonna ask you this before I pray for you.

David Spoon:

Are you milking it?

David Spoon:

No, I'm kidding.

David Spoon:

Are you going, oh, my knee.

David Spoon:

I need you to get that for me.

Speaker G:

I might have milked it at first, but I think I'm just getting along with it.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Let me pray for your knee, brother.

David Spoon:

Because the Lord heals everything and everything little, everything big.

David Spoon:

It's all important to the Lord because it's important to us.

David Spoon:

So can I pray for you over that?

Speaker G:

Yes, sir.

David Spoon:

All right, let's pray.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now.

David Spoon:

I thank you for my brother Will, and I'm asking you to bless him and his wife and their family.

David Spoon:

Just everything that's gone on, Lord, just some real refreshment, encouragement, some simplicity in their lives would be wonderful.

David Spoon:

Sometimes, Lord, when there's just less to deal with, it's just a little bit easier pathway.

David Spoon:

But, Lord, he's got arthritis going on.

David Spoon:

He's got some pains in his knee.

David Spoon:

And I really understand that and pray that you would bring your healing power into his knees.

David Spoon:

I know how much it hurts.

David Spoon:

I know how uncomfortable it is.

David Spoon:

I know how frustrating it is, and so does he, and so do you, because you know us.

David Spoon:

So we're asking you to bring healing into Will's knees and knees, both knees and anywhere else he's feeling the aches and the pains.

David Spoon:

Let him find comfort.

David Spoon:

Healing by the.

David Spoon:

By the anointing of the Holy Spirit that comes to us through Jesus Christ, who by whose stripes we are healed.

David Spoon:

Let that manifest in his life and bless him and encourage him.

David Spoon:

Let him have a great weekend.

David Spoon:

That's what I'm praying for him.

David Spoon:

Just a great weekend for him and his wife.

David Spoon:

In Jesus name we pray that.

David Spoon:

Amen.

David Spoon:

And amen.

Speaker G:

And amen.

David Spoon:

Amen, my brother.

David Spoon:

Excellent job.

David Spoon:

I really appreciate it.

Speaker G:

Best day to you, sir.

David Spoon:

Okay, you as well.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

Great job.

David Spoon:

By Will, here's what we're going to do.

David Spoon:

We're going to skip our break because I have no chance to do the break.

David Spoon:

There's no point in even going into it.

David Spoon:

We're going to do our DNA, we're going to do Jake's take, then we're going to get into our teaching.

David Spoon:

And nobody else knows what's going on, except somebody else's calling.

David Spoon:

So we think we're going to do that.

David Spoon:

You guys just don't understand.

David Spoon:

I got all this stuff in front of me, all these papers.

David Spoon:

It's like, I can do this.

David Spoon:

I can do this.

David Spoon:

I can do this.

David Spoon:

And it's like the Lord's going, no, you can't.

David Spoon:

See, I tend to think of that as God being more humorous than most people do.

David Spoon:

I don't think the Lord's mad or angry.

David Spoon:

It's just like, no, we're going to do it this way.

David Spoon:

I love that the Lord does that, that it's engaging and interacting.

David Spoon:

So I just really want to point that out to you.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right, so let me see what's going on with Jake.

David Spoon:

I'll find out whether he needs to.

David Spoon:

Let's see if he needs to.

David Spoon:

If we need to break it, we need to take it.

David Spoon:

I don't know yet.

David Spoon:

Because when you talk to him, you can't give him your life story.

David Spoon:

That's one of the things we try to get people to stop doing because he can't be on there for three or four minutes.

David Spoon:

We are gonna do our DNA no matter what.

David Spoon:

Cause no matter what takes place, I'm doing DNA next, so.

David Spoon:

And I might just go ahead and do that because he's getting wrapped into this call.

David Spoon:

So I'm gonna do DNA the best I can.

David Spoon:

All right, here we go.

David Spoon:

I know I need his help to do it, but we'll kind of see how that goes.

David Spoon:

All right, Wait, wait, wait.

David Spoon:

Hold.

David Spoon:

All right, what do we got, Jake?

David Spoon:

Can we do DNA or what are we doing?

David Spoon:

Where are we at?

David Spoon:

You're smiling.

David Spoon:

That's good.

Speaker C:

Anna's called in for a prayer request.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right, let's send Ann through.

David Spoon:

We gotta do that.

David Spoon:

Gotta take care of Ann.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Is this Ann?

Speaker H:

Yes.

Speaker H:

Yes.

Speaker H:

Hello, Dr.

Speaker H:

David.

David Spoon:

Hello, Ann.

Speaker H:

I wanted to run this by you, sir, because this is Friday, and y'all, you know, you're not on the weekend.

Speaker H:

But something that's bothering me about getting a phone.

Speaker H:

I've had a person that has been letting me use their phone.

Speaker H:

It's a cell phone, you know, but there's been a problem of it not being paid on time.

Speaker H:

Well, I can't use my landline house phone anymore because the thieves keep stealing the copper wiring.

Speaker H:

And so then that knocks my phone out.

Speaker H:

So this nice person let me use their phone because he had three phones.

Speaker H:

And he says, you use this, you don't have to worry about paying for it.

Speaker H:

He said, I'll take care of it.

Speaker H:

Well, that's been working out just fine until last week.

Speaker H:

And so then, anyway, my sister said if I could find a flip phone, which would be easy, you know, for me to work, that she'd put me on her bill.

David Spoon:

Yep, yep.

Speaker H:

And then I could pay her and I wouldn't have to worry about it.

Speaker H:

Just pay her, you know.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Speaker H:

I've been calling and calling, and they went to the at store.

Speaker H:

They didn't have any.

Speaker H:

And she said that they was very expensive.

Speaker H:

The lady said, go to Walmart.

Speaker H:

They're a lot cheaper.

Speaker H:

It's a AT&T flip phone.

Speaker H:

So anyway, we've been trying and trying, and I've called and called as many as I could.

Speaker H:

You know, Walmart stores.

Speaker H:

That's in the close area.

Speaker H:

And I found one in Mesquite, and the lady said to hide two.

Speaker H:

Well, okay, then.

Speaker H:

My niece had to work late last night, and they.

Speaker H:

The electronics department, they closed earlier than the store does.

Speaker H:

So she hasn't been able to go over there and get it.

Speaker H:

And I asked the lady, I said, can you put it on hold?

Speaker H:

And she said, no, she said, I can't do that.

Speaker H:

So now I don't know if I'm going to be able to have the phone or not because I don't have anybody to go pick it up.

Speaker H:

So I'm over here worried, you know, that I'm gonna be.

Speaker H:

Because this last time it wasn't paid.

Speaker H:

I was without a phone for two days.

Speaker H:

And, you know, I'm by myself in this cold weather, and I.

Speaker H:

I just have to have a phone.

Speaker H:

So I was hoping, you know, if you would take it to the Lord, if.

David Spoon:

Sure, let's.

David Spoon:

Let's do that.

Speaker H:

Let's do that, you know, and we can get the phone and get the situation, you know, all worked out.

David Spoon:

All right, well, let's pray.

David Spoon:

Let's do that very thing.

David Spoon:

First of all, the Lord, you don't have to be afraid.

David Spoon:

And.

David Spoon:

And here's one of the things that you've got to come against, okay?

David Spoon:

The Bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

David Spoon:

That means is that sometimes when you get afraid, that's the enemy taking advantage of you, of your feelings and of what's taking place, because you're looking at the situation.

David Spoon:

But God is greater than your situation.

David Spoon:

He's greater than the circumstances around you.

David Spoon:

And you don't have to walk in that fear, even though it's like Well, I don't know how to get it.

David Spoon:

I don't know how to access it.

David Spoon:

That's okay.

David Spoon:

The Lord's not up there going, oh no, what do we do?

David Spoon:

How are we going to help her?

David Spoon:

The Lord is in charge and you don't have to have a fear in going into that process.

David Spoon:

Okay, so that's number one.

David Spoon:

Number two, we're going to absolutely ask the Lord to help you in the circumstance.

David Spoon:

And what you need to do is trust that if that's a great direction and a great thing, the Lord will help that come to pass.

David Spoon:

And you don't have to be afraid about losing it or not getting it.

David Spoon:

In fact, many Christians are afraid that if they don't do whatever it is they're supposed to do right away, they're gonna lose that.

David Spoon:

It's not like God is putting his blessing on a conveyor belt.

David Spoon:

And if you don't grab it right away like the Lucy show and get the candies put in there, then you have to start eating them.

David Spoon:

And you gotta figure it out.

David Spoon:

You don't have to be fretting, you don't have to be, you know, over responsive.

David Spoon:

You are able to, as a daughter of the most High God, to rest in his faithfulness.

David Spoon:

So that's the first thing I want you to do, is challenge yourself instead of being afraid to have a greater sense of trust.

David Spoon:

Can you do that?

Speaker H:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right, now I want to pray for you that the Lord will smooth this out for you.

David Spoon:

Okay, you ready?

David Spoon:

We're going to pray.

Speaker H:

Yes.

Speaker H:

I forgot to tell you, I don't know if anybody's going to be able to go get the phone this weekend.

Speaker H:

My sister's gone out of town, visit with her son and then my niece is the only one left that can do it.

Speaker H:

So I've been over here hoping and praying that if the phone don't go away, because like I said, everywhere, I've called all these Walmart stores, either Thursday, don't answer the phone or either they'll tell you, no, we don't have any, you know.

David Spoon:

Well, that, that's why we're going to.

Speaker H:

Pray about it, kind of.

David Spoon:

And that's why we're gonna pray about it.

David Spoon:

Because instead of trying to cover every angle yourself, we're gonna ask God to help you.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Okay, let's do that.

David Spoon:

You ready?

David Spoon:

Let's pray.

David Spoon:

Let's pray.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now, we lift up Ann to you and Lord, she's afraid.

David Spoon:

She's got fear in her heart that it's just not gonna work out.

David Spoon:

She's not gonna be able to get it.

David Spoon:

So the first thing I'm asking you, Lord, is she's your daughter.

David Spoon:

And as your daughter, I ask you to put your arms around her and comfort her and let her not be so focused on what might not happen.

David Spoon:

Instead, Lord, turn it around in her own heart and mind that her expectation would be greater that you will help resolve this situation, that she doesn't have to approach it from the backside of it, but that she can trust that you are faithful and good and that you will help in this situation.

David Spoon:

And she does not not have to be afraid as she's approaching it, but can anticipate, instead of with dread, anticipate the goodness of God manifesting in this circumstance.

David Spoon:

She needs faith for that, Lord.

David Spoon:

We have faith for her, and we ask you to increase her faith and let her be at peace in this situation.

David Spoon:

Instead of fretting, let her be at peace and let her find that comfort that comes from you.

David Spoon:

Because you are a God of comfort.

David Spoon:

That's what you say in your word, that you are a God of comfort.

David Spoon:

Comfort her.

David Spoon:

We pray this in Jesus name, Amen and amen.

Speaker H:

Amen.

David Spoon:

Amen.

David Spoon:

And I'm looking forward to hearing a good testimony from you when it gets resolved.

Speaker H:

Okay?

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

We love you.

Speaker H:

Thank you for taking my call.

Speaker H:

It was getting late, and I was afraid I was gonna miss you.

David Spoon:

Well, we got it taken care of, and then I'm looking forward to a great blessing and a testimony coming from this.

Speaker H:

Okay?

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

Speaker H:

Thank you.

Speaker H:

God bless you, sir.

David Spoon:

Bye bye.

Speaker H:

Bye bye.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

So here it is now.

David Spoon:

People are, like, going, wow, what's going on?

David Spoon:

We don't.

David Spoon:

We just do the show, man.

David Spoon:

We're just doing the show.

David Spoon:

What are we doing right now?

David Spoon:

DNA right now?

David Spoon:

D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.

David Spoon:

I'm sure everybody understands that that is not one week from tomorrow.

David Spoon:

That's every day.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

Every day, daily.

David Spoon:

So draw closer to the Lord daily.

David Spoon:

Why?

David Spoon:

Cause it will change your life.

David Spoon:

It will help your life.

David Spoon:

It will bless your life.

David Spoon:

Now, while I'm saying this, I do want to say if anybody wants to try and help Ann out, you are welcome to call the show.

David Spoon:

We'll see what we can do to coordinate.

David Spoon:

It's not always easy to do, and sometimes that's difficult to do, but if you have that desire.

David Spoon:

I don't know her exact location.

David Spoon:

I'm not sure of Ann's location.

David Spoon:

But if you have a desire to help, you can Just let us know.

David Spoon:

And if there's a way we can get it to her, we'll get her that information.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily.

David Spoon:

Again, daily.

David Spoon:

Daily spend time with the Lord.

David Spoon:

If you're not spending time with God, that's exactly what happens.

David Spoon:

As the fear creeps up, the enemy creeps in, the opposition just becomes more intense.

David Spoon:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily.

David Spoon:

And never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

David Spoon:

No matter what, never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

David Spoon:

And then a Always be ready.

Speaker C:

To serve.

David Spoon:

Ready to serve.

David Spoon:

So if the Lord puts it on your heart to help and try and serve Ann, right there.

David Spoon:

Or if he puts it on your heart to try and minister to somebody, encourage somebody, bless somebody, do something for somebody, for his name, in his name, in his kingdom.

David Spoon:

It is up to you and I to say, here I am.

David Spoon:

Send me.

David Spoon:

Just like Isaiah.

David Spoon:

Here I am.

David Spoon:

Send me.

David Spoon:

Use me.

David Spoon:

I want to be used by you.

David Spoon:

That's the.

David Spoon:

Ready to serve.

David Spoon:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.

David Spoon:

A Always be ready to serve.

David Spoon:

Get that?

David Spoon:

Okay, cool.

David Spoon:

All right, here's what I'm gonna do.

David Spoon:

We have Jake's take that.

David Spoon:

We're gonna wait on.

David Spoon:

We'll do that kind of towards the end.

David Spoon:

That's fine.

David Spoon:

Just remind me, brother, so that I don't forget.

David Spoon:

I do wanna make sure you understand something about God.

David Spoon:

It's Exodus 5:3.

David Spoon:

And here's what I want you to hear me say.

David Spoon:

And don't miss this.

David Spoon:

God is not hiding.

David Spoon:

I don't know how to say this clear.

David Spoon:

Let me see.

David Spoon:

Do you ever play hide and seek?

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

As a kid, right?

David Spoon:

I mean, come on.

David Spoon:

You played hide and seek, right?

David Spoon:

What do you do?

David Spoon:

Right?

David Spoon:

You hide, right?

David Spoon:

And then what does the other person.

David Spoon:

The other person looks for you, right?

David Spoon:

And then they find you.

David Spoon:

Ah, gotcha.

David Spoon:

That's cute, isn't it?

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

Do you do that with our little kids?

David Spoon:

Great.

David Spoon:

Awesome, right?

David Spoon:

God doesn't play hide and seek.

David Spoon:

Exodus 5:3.

David Spoon:

If you don't have this tagged, maybe you should tag it.

David Spoon:

Moses and Aaron replied, the God of the Hebrews has revealed himself to us.

David Spoon:

God's not hiding behind a rock.

David Spoon:

He reveals himself.

David Spoon:

He shows who he is.

David Spoon:

He declares himself.

David Spoon:

He speaks on a regular basis.

David Spoon:

People aren't listening on a regular basis, but he speaks on a regular basis.

David Spoon:

And what I want you to understand, and I know people need to hear this, I'm just getting that sense from the Lord.

David Spoon:

Like the big backup right there is just Simply this.

David Spoon:

God is not hiding.

David Spoon:

He reveals himself.

David Spoon:

Exodus 5:3.

David Spoon:

Moses and Aaron replied, the God of the Hebrews has revealed himself to us.

David Spoon:

It's right there.

David Spoon:

You're thinking, well, how does God reveal himself?

David Spoon:

I'll just give you all these different things because these are just a list of seven.

David Spoon:

It's not a comprehensive list.

David Spoon:

It's just a list, which is my way of saying there's probably 15 others, 20 others, 50 others, 100 other ways.

David Spoon:

But in this, I want to start with.

David Spoon:

Prayer is obviously a major component.

David Spoon:

Remember how powerful Abraham's relationship was with the Lord.

David Spoon:

Abraham didn't have a Bible, and you're probably not as close to God as he was.

David Spoon:

Yeah, I mean, probably a pretty good bet.

David Spoon:

The second most powerful thing is fellowship.

David Spoon:

When two or more are gathered together, there am I in the midst of them.

David Spoon:

When you fellowship in whatever capacity, there is a revelation, an illumination of the Lord Jesus Christ.

David Spoon:

So that's another place you could see in creation itself.

David Spoon:

God testifies.

David Spoon:

He reveals himself.

David Spoon:

Have you looked up at the stars?

David Spoon:

Even the psalms say, look up into the skies.

David Spoon:

The Lord is speaking to people through what he testifies.

David Spoon:

That's right above our head.

David Spoon:

What's amazing is people try to make that seem like it's something accidental.

David Spoon:

It was all accidental.

David Spoon:

It was all, you know, just happened because of the big bang.

David Spoon:

And nobody knows who shot the trigger.

David Spoon:

And it all.

David Spoon:

What are you talking about?

David Spoon:

It's the testimony of God.

David Spoon:

And that's not just the space part of it.

David Spoon:

What about the sea?

David Spoon:

We can't even explore all the sea.

David Spoon:

It's right below us.

David Spoon:

It's right next to us.

David Spoon:

We don't even know how to look at everything in there.

David Spoon:

How are we going to figure out everything that's above us when we can't figure out how to get to everything below us?

David Spoon:

That's kind of a good question.

David Spoon:

Another place that he's not hiding is when you are still before him.

David Spoon:

Not even in the prayer time of you talking, but just being still.

David Spoon:

It says, be still and know that I am God.

David Spoon:

Psalm:

David Spoon:

Just be still before the Lord.

David Spoon:

Come before the Lord.

David Spoon:

You say, here I am, Lord.

David Spoon:

I ain't going to say anything.

David Spoon:

You'd be amazed.

David Spoon:

Amazed.

David Spoon:

Different ministries manifest God that is not hiding.

David Spoon:

You've gone to church and the Lord has spoken to you through a sermon, through a worship song, through a Bible study.

David Spoon:

You've gone to church and somebody said something to you, and you were like, man, I needed to hear that exact thing.

David Spoon:

These are all ways that God is revealing himself to you.

David Spoon:

You want to know another one?

David Spoon:

Wait, wait, wait.

David Spoon:

Circumstances.

David Spoon:

Sometimes God speaks to you just by what comes in front of you.

David Spoon:

And you're like, whoa, how did that happen?

David Spoon:

I'll tell you how God spoke.

David Spoon:

And you're now catching it.

David Spoon:

How about the one we haven't even discussed yet, the word of God.

David Spoon:

God created the universe.

David Spoon:

The dude can write a book.

David Spoon:

It's another way he reveals himself.

David Spoon:

You have instant access to God all the time.

David Spoon:

365, 24, 7 if you want it.

David Spoon:

But Exodus 5, 3, Moses and Aaron replied, the God of the Hebrews has revealed himself to us.

David Spoon:

There are so many other ways to add to that.

David Spoon:

Those are just seven quick ones.

David Spoon:

Here's what I would encourage you to do with that.

David Spoon:

Draw near through prayer, fellowship, creation, the stillness of his presence, ministry, circumstances, His Word, and a hundred other ways.

David Spoon:

Draw near to God and what does it say in James 4, 8?

David Spoon:

And he will draw near to you.

David Spoon:

That's the key.

David Spoon:

That's the priority right there.

David Spoon:

We'll take a short break, then we'll come back.

David Spoon:

You are listening to the David Smoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Short break, we'll be back.

David Spoon:

Don't go anywhere.

David Spoon:

Here we go.

David Spoon:

Let me give you an update on Easton Scott.

David Spoon:

A lot of tough stuff that my daughter and my son in law have been going through.

David Spoon:

I did send an email out.

David Spoon:

I don't know if Julie, if you got the email.

David Spoon:

I just sent it out to everybody.

David Spoon:

So he was going through 20 and 30 seizures per episode and they've got that down to a dramatically less amount.

David Spoon:

But the sad news is that from a medical point of view, Easton does not, it does not appear as, according to the doctors, that he will be able to speak or will be able to care for himself.

David Spoon:

And so what the result of that is is that Julieann and Jared, my son in law and my daughter have recognized that God has put them in a position to be the best parents to love Easton Scott with all that they can and give them the best life that they can.

David Spoon:

But while that's going on, they're not gonna stop believing that something can change.

David Spoon:

And the doctors even said this is territory we don't even know.

David Spoon:

Right.

David Spoon:

Cause this is a problem that not very many people have had.

David Spoon:

So very few.

David Spoon:

Everybody is different.

David Spoon:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

And they have like 230 total cases in the world that they have records on, which is like.

David Spoon:

So they're like, we don't know.

David Spoon:

Right.

David Spoon:

And it's like, so I just wanna read this one thing my daughter wrote.

David Spoon:

It's a fantastic.

David Spoon:

She wrote this.

David Spoon:

You know, it's not easy to sit there and write a Facebook post that tells all the things you've been going through.

David Spoon:

And so I'm not going to read everything, but I'm going to read the last paragraph because I thought that was really significant.

David Spoon:

She wrote, scientifically, Easton does not have much of a chance.

David Spoon:

His best case scenario is he may possibly be able to walk and say three to five words one day.

David Spoon:

But God can help him.

David Spoon:

He's not afraid of impossible odds.

David Spoon:

And if Easton is healed one day, there will be no question as to where it comes from.

David Spoon:

It will not be because of therapy.

David Spoon:

It will not be because of medication or diet.

David Spoon:

It will be because of God's undeniable healing power.

David Spoon:

So in the meantime, we choose to raise a hallelujah and trust in God, ladies and gentlemen, that is faith.

David Spoon:

Now the idea that it's gonna be simple and everything's gonna be great and they're trying to make pie in the sky that doesn't exist at all.

David Spoon:

If you read this.

David Spoon:

And I think wonder Julia can attest to it.

David Spoon:

She tells you this is ugly, right?

David Spoon:

This is not a good situation.

David Spoon:

It's going to change our lives.

David Spoon:

He's never going to be able to be unattended.

David Spoon:

It doesn't look good.

David Spoon:

And you know, as a parent, you're heartbroken.

David Spoon:

They have two other children.

David Spoon:

They don't want to have any loss in their communication with their kids, but they're going to have to give extra attention.

David Spoon:

They were going to have a fourth child.

David Spoon:

They're not sure they're going to do that now.

David Spoon:

So you got a lot of things in play, but what you can't deny is that I won't take credit, but I'll stand in there as a grandparent and as a parent and say what a fantastic position of faith that my daughter has grown into.

David Spoon:

She has made the determination that she will do the best that she can as a human being to give this child the best life she can.

David Spoon:

And she will not quit hoping.

Speaker E:

If.

David Spoon:

Jesus was like me.

David Spoon:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

That's KA Amen 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

We have somebody else on the line.

David Spoon:

Let's go ahead and send them on through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Speaker I:

Shabbat shalom, brother.

David Spoon:

Hello, brother.

David Spoon:

Shabbat Shalom how are you?

Speaker D:

Hey.

Speaker I:

Very good.

David Spoon:

What's happening?

David Spoon:

What's happening on your end?

Speaker I:

I need a prayer, and I have a word for our brother Roger.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Speaker I:

He reminds me of Mr.

Speaker I:

Rogers.

David Spoon:

That's okay.

David Spoon:

You can say Mr.

David Spoon:

Rogers.

David Spoon:

That's fine.

Speaker I:

Yeah.

Speaker I:

So, you know earlier when you were talking and I was asking the Lord to have if.

Speaker I:

If he has any word for me to share with brother Roger, and I felt like a Lord put it in my heart that he is increasing his white blood cell and.

Speaker I:

And also strengthening his white blood cells.

Speaker I:

So whatever he's going through physically that day, the white blood cell gonna fight for him to give him better health and healing.

David Spoon:

All right, Praise the Lord.

David Spoon:

So, Roger, that's a good word for you, brother.

David Spoon:

Amen.

David Spoon:

Good word there.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Praise the Lord.

David Spoon:

What do you got on the prayer request side?

Speaker I:

Okay.

Speaker I:

Pray for my wife.

Speaker I:

Since yesterday, she is under this seasonal attack like it does.

Speaker I:

Yeah, very bad.

Speaker I:

I don't know if it's a flu or something, but it has been a really miserable day yesterday and even the night today.

Speaker I:

She's feeling better.

Speaker I:

So I want brother and sister to pray with us so God will supernaturally heal her because she has few projects to take care of this weekend and she's bummed if she.

Speaker I:

If she can't do it.

Speaker I:

So just pray that God will expedite her.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Speaker I:

She would not miss those two projects.

David Spoon:

Let's do that.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now and we lift up Samson and his wife.

David Spoon:

We ask you first that the element that Samson was sharing would be a blessing for Roger.

David Spoon:

We ask that you would bring your healing power into Samson's wife.

David Spoon:

She's got stuff to do.

David Spoon:

If the energy is low and she doesn't have her mind about her.

David Spoon:

It's really difficult to get tasks done.

David Spoon:

But with your energy, the power that works inside, the power that anoints and helps us.

David Spoon:

Lord, your Holy spirit.

David Spoon:

Holy spirit.

David Spoon:

That you would just strengthen her frame and that, Lord God, you would pour upon her energy and vitality and freedom from that which pulls her down so that she could accomplish the task that's been set before her in the energy that comes from you.

David Spoon:

God, let her get able to do it.

David Spoon:

Make her able to do it.

David Spoon:

Not Lord God, just simply because she's taking medicine, but by the power that comes from heaven that she would find restoration, renewal, healing, and energy to be about the business she has to take care of.

David Spoon:

Let that be poured into her by the power of your spirit.

David Spoon:

And we're praying this in the name of Jesus.

David Spoon:

Christ our Lord and Savior.

David Spoon:

Amen and amen.

Speaker I:

Amen.

David Spoon:

Thank you, brother.

Speaker I:

And Shabbat, everyone.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

God bless you, bro.

David Spoon:

All right, you got.

David Spoon:

You won't have time to do Jake's take, but you can just tell us who's playing because we don't have the time.

David Spoon:

What do you got?

David Spoon:

Who's playing on the weekend?

David Spoon:

Jake, take.

Speaker C:

So we have the conference championships between Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles, and then Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs winners go to the Super Bowl.

Speaker C:

I have the Bills winning, and then I have the Eagles winning.

Speaker C:

So Bills, Eagles, super bowl is my prediction.

David Spoon:

I am actually going to stand with you in that prediction.

David Spoon:

I think that's a good prediction.

Speaker C:

Okay.

David Spoon:

I think that's the right way to go, and I would rather see that happen.

David Spoon:

All right, so here's the other thing that I want to bring up to everybody.

David Spoon:

If you notice the show, we didn't get as much teaching.

David Spoon:

We got a lot of prayer needs in.

David Spoon:

But let me explain something to you that's really important, and I have a hard time with it, too, so don't get weird on me.

David Spoon:

We have needs and we need to take care of one another's needs and help one another.

David Spoon:

We need to be praying for one another.

David Spoon:

You need to be praying for the audience.

David Spoon:

I need to be praying for the audience.

David Spoon:

I need to be praying for you.

David Spoon:

You need to be praying for me.

David Spoon:

We need to take care of one another because if we're not carrying one another's burdens, then we're not fulfilling the law of Christ.

David Spoon:

So let's do what we're supposed to do.

David Spoon:

Let's not give lip service to our faith.

David Spoon:

Let's put some legs behind it, too.

David Spoon:

Spend a few moments every day praying for these people, for their needs, for what's going on.

David Spoon:

Because if we just sit there and talk or we're just sitting there and being fed and we're not doing anything with it.

David Spoon:

We're not doing what the Lord wants us to do with it.

David Spoon:

So if you're in that place, open up your heart and ask God to make your heart bigger because people need help and we can join them in that process.

David Spoon:

Let's do that.

David Spoon:

Because that pleases the Lord, right?

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAAM 770, the truth station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

72 and 1 half hour break.

David Spoon:

Then we'll come back at you on Monday.

David Spoon:

God bless.

David Spoon:

You have a great weekend.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.

Just ask him.
