The episode begins with a lively introduction, setting the stage for a conversation that oscillates between light-hearted banter and weighty matters of faith. Spoon emphasizes the necessity of revisiting foundational truths, drawing from the Apostle Peter's reminder to keep our memories refreshed regarding the gospel. This theme of remembrance serves as a backdrop as he navigates the complexities of spiritual life, encouraging a deeper understanding of how God’s truth can transform everyday experiences.
As the episode unfolds, Spoon delves into the tactics of the enemy, identifying two primary methods by which doubt and distraction infiltrate the lives of believers. His analysis is not merely theoretical; it is deeply personal, as he shares his own struggles and victories in the face of spiritual warfare. And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
David Spoon:It's wild and wonderful.
David Spoon:What's gonna happen?
David Spoon:We have no idea.
David Spoon:Let's sit back and enjoy the ride.
David Spoon:Can I get a Wowzer Bowser?
David Spoon:Wednesday, Because God is in charge of this crazy bus called the Christian Journey.
David Spoon:First, it's Wednesday, so that means I get to share a classic from my past.
David Spoon:Why is that?
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:I just picked that day.
David Spoon:The apostle Peter said, therefore, I will always remind you of these things.
David Spoon:Even though you know them and are established in the truth you now have.
David Spoon:I think it's right to refresh your memory.
David Spoon:As long as I live in the tent of my body.
David Spoon:So I strongly, personally, David Spoon, believe that, that when we bring back some of these classics, we're standing on solid ground because God wants us to be reminded.
David Spoon:Very important.
David Spoon:Next, we're going to talk about some of the most important tactics that Satan uses against us to thwart us.
David Spoon:Actually, there are two that stand out above the rest.
David Spoon:And we're going to examine how we can heighten our awareness to set off the spiritual warfare alarm that should be ringing when the enemy is attacking.
David Spoon:And finally, the biggest issue that comes to bear is how many of us are bound up.
David Spoon:It might be a bad habit that we do physically.
David Spoon:It might be a bad habit that we enter into emotionally.
David Spoon:It could even be one that operates mentally.
David Spoon:But we need to remember is that in Jesus, he came to set the the captives free.
David Spoon:And in those areas where we're bound up, we're in need of freedom.
David Spoon:But does that mean we sit around and allow Satan, who is the accuser of the brethren, just to throw things at us, telling us that we're worthless Christians?
David Spoon:No, it means that we trust and lean on God, that he really is full of grace, mercy and love.

David Spoon:It's so much more.
David Spoon:Let me just tell you right now.
David Spoon:I will prove this to you without any reservation.
David Spoon:This is not professional radio.
David Spoon:And how do I know that?
David Spoon:We're going to ask the big fish of professional radio, our very own Jam and Jacob, the big fish.
David Spoon:Jam and Jacob Big fish.
David Spoon:Is this the David Spoon Experience professional radio?
Jammin Jacob:No, it is not.
David Spoon:David.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:You are now the big fish.
Jammin Jacob:I was thinking of making a fish noise, but I'm not sure what noise to make.
David Spoon:So you get it together like a dolphin, one of those dolphiny kind of things.
Jammin Jacob:Whale, I don't know.
David Spoon:Whale, I don't know.
David Spoon:Touche, my friend.
David Spoon:Look, it's not professional radio.
David Spoon:And you say, how do you know that?
David Spoon:Because I messed up on the intro.
David Spoon:That's how you know.
David Spoon:It's like, I already did that.
David Spoon:It doesn't matter.
David Spoon:Here's what it is.
David Spoon:It's radio.
David Spoon:You're lucky if it's two cans and a string.
David Spoon:You guys think I'm kidding?
David Spoon:You have no idea.
David Spoon:Here's what we're going to tell you.
David Spoon:We're going to tell you.
David Spoon:This show is about all of us drawing nearer to the Lord.
David Spoon:Sometimes you just need to be encouraged with really awesome words of love and just, you know, life and cover.
David Spoon:Sometimes you need to be challenged.
David Spoon:You need to be provoked, in a good sense to just draw nearer to the Lord.
David Spoon:It could be any of that.
David Spoon:But our goal is to do it all together.
David Spoon:So we want to know how you're doing and what you think.
David Spoon:You can always email the show during the show and even after.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:And when you make that call, guess what you'll end up talking to?
David Spoon:Who are you going to be talking to?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob is like waking up and feeling like, hey, I got a great night's sleep.
Jammin Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jammin Jacob:Happy Wednesday.
David Spoon:Happy Wednesday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:A quick reminder.
David Spoon:How does the weather look for tomorrow?
David Spoon:Jam and Jacob, does it look like there's gonna be a little Dandruff all over the place.
Jammin Jacob:We'll see.
Jammin Jacob:We talked about how it could be.
Jammin Jacob:We could wake up tomorrow with 10 inches of snow and we also could wake up tomorrow and it's 100 degrees.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:That's because.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because Texas weather is bipolar.
David Spoon:And so here's what we know.
David Spoon:The owner of the station has asked us not to come in, and so we will not be here.
David Spoon:So we will be doing a replay tomorrow for those that are unaware.
David Spoon:That information, by the way, is currently on the website.
David Spoon:Now, let's get back to this.
David Spoon:Why, by the way, would you call us?
David Spoon:Why would you text us?
David Spoon:Why would you email us?
David Spoon:Well, it could be for a praise report.
David Spoon:We love praise reports.
David Spoon:Who's not blessed to hear that God is doing stuff?
David Spoon:It could be for a prayer request.
David Spoon:Let's join each other in the struggle carrying one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
David Spoon:It could be something you just want to share, something that's on your heart and mind, something that scripture that the Lord gave you is just really blessing.
David Spoon:It could be an answer to Bible trivia.
David Spoon:Bible trivia, yeah.
David Spoon:In the gospel, one of the four gospels.
David Spoon:So you got Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the gospel.
David Spoon:In this particular gospel, it says, and there are also many things which Jesus did.
David Spoon:And if they should be written, every one.
David Spoon:I suppose that even the world itself could not contain a book that could be written.
David Spoon:In other words, which gospel is that from?
David Spoon:There are so many things that Jesus did, it's just past us.
David Spoon:They can't even write on.
David Spoon:In fact, the four writers who all did their writing, they couldn't even capture the fullness.
David Spoon:They were just getting as much as the Lord would give them so that it can be communicated.
David Spoon:In which gospel does it say?
David Spoon:There are also many other things which Jesus did the.
David Spoon:Which if they should be written, every one.
David Spoon:I suppose even the world itself couldn't take the books that should be written.
David Spoon:Which gospel makes reference to Jesus doing many other things?
David Spoon:Is it Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John?
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer, you can reach out to us.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:It's Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.
David Spoon:And I will help you with one more hint in this gospel, it is in the 21st chapter.
David Spoon:Huh?
David Spoon:Which gospel says.
David Spoon:And there are also many other things which Jesus did.
David Spoon:The.
David Spoon:Which if they should be written everyone.
David Spoon:I suppose the world itself couldn't even contain all the books.
David Spoon:Which gospel?
David Spoon:Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, if you think, you know.
David Spoon:In the meantime, we will do our DNA.
David Spoon:D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:So I've done some research and I have figured out that the word daily, when you break it down to D, A, I, L, Y stands for every day.
David Spoon:I'm just amazed at this research.
David Spoon:You can get into the Latin, you can get into the Greek, or you can just look at the word daily and go, oh, yeah, Every day that you wake up, sing of the power and the mercies of God, every day that you have breath, spend time with the Lord, get your B.
David Spoon:I love that.
David Spoon:Sergio said that the other day.
David Spoon:Your bfn.
David Spoon:Get your BFN in the book.
David Spoon:You be a fat.
David Spoon:Yeah, your big fat nose.
David Spoon:Oh, that's so mean.
David Spoon:Oh, stop.
David Spoon:Stop being a baby.
David Spoon:Get in the book.
David Spoon:Read it, absorb it, eat it.
David Spoon:Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
David Spoon:Consume, eat, feed.
David Spoon:The spiritual man.
David Spoon:You feed the spiritual man.
David Spoon:When you're spending time with the Lord, the One who gave you life in the first place, draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:D N.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Even if the next years are optimistic or pessimistic or right in between it all, where they always say realistic, which means nothing.
David Spoon:Here it is in a nutshell.
David Spoon:They're at some point going to not only shame, but try to ban the word of God.
David Spoon:They've been trying to do it for years.
David Spoon:Not going to work.
David Spoon:The gospel is not going to be stopped until God says so.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of what Jesus has to say.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of His Word.
David Spoon:Never let the world shame you.
David Spoon:You think, well, how do you not let the world shame you?
David Spoon:Don't receive it.
David Spoon:That's all.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:Somebody comes up to you and goes to you, you're a Martian, go.
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:That kind of thing.
David Spoon:So D, draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A.
David Spoon:Always be ready.
Jammin Jacob:To serve.
David Spoon:To serve.
David Spoon:Ready, ready.
David Spoon:Ready to bless.
David Spoon:Ready to be used in whatever capacity which really means less of us, more of him.
David Spoon:Less on our stuff, more on people around us in our universe getting the radar up so that we can connect with others to bless them.
David Spoon:Being used of God, always being ready.
David Spoon:He won't use you every Three seconds.
David Spoon:But you should be ready.
David Spoon:D draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:Somebody is ready.
David Spoon:By the way, to answer the trivia question.
David Spoon:See, that shows you're ready.
David Spoon:Let's go ahead and send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
John:Hey, David, this is John.
David Spoon:Hi, John.
David Spoon:I wish we could have got you on that other question.
David Spoon:So I'm sorry about that, but we were just wrapped on the time and so we had to make that.
John:No, had to take that break.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:All right, let me set this one up for you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:It's going to be Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.
David Spoon:So it's one of the gospels and we know it's in chapter 21 of one of those four, so that should narrow it down.
David Spoon:And where did these words come?
David Spoon:And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they should have been written, every one, the world itself would not even be able to contain the books.
David Spoon:Which gospel is in that which states that that's John.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Amundo, your namesake.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:Yep, there you go.
David Spoon:It reminds me of that one show.
David Spoon:Okay, Bob, all you gotta do, just tell me your name.
David Spoon:Bob.
David Spoon:What's your name?
David Spoon:Bob.
David Spoon:The guy goes, let me think about it, you know?
John:Well, you know, I.
John:I don't know, maybe when, when you were given the four choices, I.
John:I thought maybe you had emphasized and John.
John:Like that was a hint.
John:Then I knew that Mark didn't have that many chapters.
John:So I go, okay.
John:But I wasn't sure, you know, until I kind of peaked a little.
John:And then I went to the final one there, the last one.
David Spoon:You got it.
John:Verse 25.
David Spoon:Yep, yep, exactly.
David Spoon:Very last.
David Spoon:Verse 21, 25.
David Spoon:It's like you couldn't even.
David Spoon:We can't even.
David Spoon:This is the thing, though, I think that's true of our personal lives.
David Spoon:Like, we don't even count or I'm not sure we're able to count.
David Spoon:All those things that God has actually done for us are probably past our insight, right?
David Spoon:I mean, that's how much he does for us.
John:We would.
John:Autobiography or something like that.
John:It was like, okay, I know.
John:I'm leaving a bunch out here.
David Spoon:Anyway, how are you doing, my friend?
David Spoon:How are things?
John:Well, okay.
John:Right now I'm actually dog sitting for a friend who's having their house painted with enamel paint.
John:And so they don't want the dog to inhale that while they're at work.
David Spoon:Oh, yeah, good call.
John:Good Call before I head on off to work in about 45 minutes.
John:Hopefully she'll come by and pick him up.
John:But he's on the couch because I really wore him out in the backyard throwing the ball.
John:He loves to do that, so.
David Spoon:Well, I mean, as long as you don't have to take the dog with you to work or put him up in your lap and have him help you drive, you know, I think you should be okay, right?
John:Oh, yeah.
David Spoon:Excellent, brother.
John:Yeah.
David Spoon:Well, happy New Year to you, my brother.
John:Happy New Year to you, Jacob, and everybody listening out there.
David Spoon:God bless you, bro.
David Spoon:And keep us posted how you're doing, and we're going to keep praying for you.
John:Okay, thanks a lot, David.
David Spoon:All right, take care.
John:Okay, you too.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:All right, great job.
David Spoon:John's so much fun.
David Spoon:Great guy.
David Spoon:All right, so here's what we're going to do.
David Spoon:Now, this teaching is going to be deeper, so I have to cover a little bit of this before we get into the depth of this.
David Spoon:I don't want you to miss this.
David Spoon:And again, some of these teachings, it's like, I think that when people preach messages or teach sermons or lessons or whatever, I think most of these things are way past all of us.
David Spoon:And by that, what I mean is I think God's word is so powerful that we do our best to present, but it's up to the Lord to take it and to do something with it and make it happen, so on and so forth.
David Spoon:So here's the one thing I want to start with.
David Spoon:This will be our lead in for the rest of the material.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:In Acts 17, 10, 11, this is what it says.
David Spoon:As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea.
David Spoon:On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.
David Spoon:Now, the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
David Spoon:What I love about the Berean scenario is that these are quality thinkers.
David Spoon:Somebody will say, well, the Bible says.
David Spoon:And it's like, really?
David Spoon:I want to see where that is.
David Spoon:Which is one of the reasons why most of the time, not all the time, but most of the time, when you hear me quote a scripture, I give the address, and you think, well, why is that?
David Spoon:Because it's got to be verified.
David Spoon:People will go, oh, well, don't throw stones.
David Spoon:Those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
David Spoon:That's one of our presidents said was in The Bible.
David Spoon:Eh, Wrong.
David Spoon:That's wrong.
David Spoon:And when people start saying things that are wrong, you got to be able to point that out.
David Spoon:Listen, nobody needs to know that word better than we do.
David Spoon:And we find out that there's multiple reasons why it is, of course, so we can connect with the Lord, but it is also so that we can be on God.
David Spoon:Just like we said, being ready, you also got to be ready because not only do you have the best friend in the world, you have the worst enemy you could ever come up with.
David Spoon:And he set subtle, which makes it worse.
David Spoon:He's not always blazing and just up front sometimes it's sneaky.
David Spoon:In fact, he's called the thief.
David Spoon:And the word thief in the Greek means to operate in stealth.
David Spoon:So we need to have our radar on.
David Spoon:Yeah, we need to be quality thinkers, knowing what God has to say.
David Spoon:Let's take a short break and then we'll come back and get into it.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
James Robeson:What is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:Ladies and gentlemen, it's been my privilege in my past.
David Spoon:I've been a Christian for a short time, only about 40 years.
David Spoon:But when I was in my first year, I had a chance to meet James Robeson, who had a chance to pray for my brother and myself.
David Spoon:Very helpful at a very needful time as we were fighting our way out of a Christian cult.
David Spoon:And he prayed for clarity.
David Spoon:And it was just a pastors gathering in Phoenix, Arizona.
David Spoon:And I have the privilege again of interviewing one of what I consider to be one of the great men of God who are still with us on this planet.
David Spoon:And I just want to give a wholehearted welcome, open door and open heart to James Robeson.
David Spoon:Thank you, sir, for being a part of our show and a part of our audience.
James Robeson (interview):David, it's a pleasure to join with you and I'm grateful that praying together was meaningful to you at a very important part in your life.
James Robeson (interview):So just joy to be with you and your listeners.
James Robeson (interview):Now, David, can I just download what I believe is the heart of our Heavenly Father to your listeners for a few minutes?
David Spoon:Yes, please, by all means.
James Robeson (interview):When I spoke to the leaders before the election and I talked about the need, this is in Washington.
James Robeson (interview):There were nearly 2,000 pastors and church leaders there.
James Robeson (interview):And I said, I'm telling you, there are people right now who are being captivated by the Jesus they see in some of our lives.
James Robeson (interview):And I said, listen to me.
James Robeson (interview):We have a fatherless nation desperately in need of a father.
James Robeson (interview):If we as believers, as Christians who have the perfect father, if we would show people clearly what the family of the perfect father looks like, I believe the fatherless would run to the father and the father's house.
James Robeson (interview):And I believe that I said that to the President of the United States.
James Robeson (interview):I said, sir, your children say you're a good father.
James Robeson (interview):Eric Trump happened to be sitting by me when I first said that.
James Robeson (interview):Eric said, he's a great father.
James Robeson (interview):I said, well, he may be, but that doesn't mean he's flawless.
James Robeson (interview):I do believe that we need a father.
James Robeson (interview):And I believe we can pray and God can raise up people that have a father's heart.
James Robeson (interview):And so I began to emphasize the church.
James Robeson (interview):Church revealing what the Father's like.
James Robeson (interview):Now listen to me.
James Robeson (interview):We as believers comprise the body of Christ, the body of born again, baptized into Christ, believers who are born from above.
James Robeson (interview):We have a perfect heavenly father who reveals his will.
James Robeson (interview):He's not willing that any should perish.
James Robeson (interview):He said, you call on me and I'll heal your land.
James Robeson (interview):Now listen to me, Christian believers.
James Robeson (interview):We're not looking for a champion.
James Robeson (interview):We've got one.
James Robeson (interview):He's the only one that rides the white horse.
James Robeson (interview):We're not looking for a king.
James Robeson (interview):We have a king.
James Robeson (interview):The king of kings, the Lord of lords.
James Robeson (interview):That's Jesus.
James Robeson (interview):He holds kings in his hand.
James Robeson (interview):Our king, our shepherd, our Father said, come to me as my family and you ask me to heal your land.
James Robeson (interview):In desperate need of healing, you come in humility.
James Robeson (interview):You come knowing I'm the only one that can heal and I can use imperfect vessels to accomplish my perfect will.
James Robeson (interview):I always have.
James Robeson (interview):I always will.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Here is your next trivia question.
David Spoon:Which eventual apostle?
David Spoon:Which eventual apostle?
David Spoon:Very careful.
David Spoon:Listen to what the question is.
David Spoon:Every kind of beasts and of birds has been tamed by mankind.
David Spoon:But the tongue.
David Spoon:Just leave that there.
David Spoon:Every kind of beast and of birds have been tamed by mankind.
David Spoon:But the tongue, which soon to be apostle afterwards.
David Spoon:Eventual apostle.
David Spoon:That's a good line.
David Spoon:Eventual apostle wrote that.
David Spoon:Every kind of beast of the birds I've been tamed by mankind.
David Spoon:But.
David Spoon:But the tongue.
David Spoon:Get it.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Additionally, you can send an email davidmustincrease.org so hint, number one.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Which eventual apostle number two.
David Spoon:Very closely related to the Lord.
David Spoon:Ah, very closely related to the Lord.
David Spoon:Okay, now I want to remind everybody just one more time.
David Spoon:The receipts are, let's say, 75% done.
David Spoon:The giving receipts.
David Spoon:If you've got your receipt and it's not correct, do not stress.
David Spoon:That's why I try to send them out early.
David Spoon:And actually they'll all be out by the 10th, which this is only the 8th, which is pretty good because you're not supposed to even have them out to the 30th.
David Spoon:Bottom line to that process is I'm trying to make sure everybody stays in sync.
David Spoon:If you have received a receipt and it's not correct, let me know.
David Spoon:If you didn't receive it.
David Spoon:Just double check your spam or your junk folder.
David Spoon:About 75% are out.
David Spoon:They're not all out there yet.
David Spoon:So just be patient and we'll get everything squared away.
David Spoon:I do need you to be patient.
David Spoon:Number two, quick reminder, we don't know what's happening on Friday, but Don has asked us not to come in tomorrow.
David Spoon:So there will be no live show tomorrow.
David Spoon:There will be a show.
David Spoon:And trust me, it's a good show because we were kind of prepping, thinking this could get weird.
David Spoon:But in the meantime, in the meantime, we will have an excellent replay and then we will see what happens on Friday.
David Spoon:That's all we got on that one.
David Spoon:All right, your trivia question.
David Spoon:Who very closely related to Jesus?
David Spoon:I mean, just as close as it can be.
David Spoon:And then an eventual apostle wrote, every kind of beasts and of birds man has tamed, but the tongue.
David Spoon:Who wrote about the tongue?
David Spoon:We think we know.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Fred:Dr.
Fred:Spoon, this is Fred.
David Spoon:Hello, brother Fred.
David Spoon:How are you?
Fred:I'm doing fine, sir.
David Spoon:It's good to hear your voice, my brother.
David Spoon:Great to hear your voice.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:I need you to be praying for us because I need the strong people of prayer to say, let the snow go away.
David Spoon:No, no, no, that's all right.
Fred:Or Let it warm up.
Fred:So I wanted it, too.
David Spoon:Yeah, yeah.
David Spoon:A little bit of warmth would be nice.
David Spoon:It's really funny because our song, you know, when it's cold outside, I got the month of May.
David Spoon:It's like, hey, guess what?
David Spoon:That applies today.
David Spoon:Exactly.
David Spoon:Exactly.
David Spoon:All right, my friend, let's set it up.
David Spoon:It's a two prong hint.
David Spoon:The first is this is an eventual apostle.
David Spoon:And then this is also somebody closely related to Jesus.
David Spoon:Who wrote this.
David Spoon:Every kind of beast of birds has man tamed.
David Spoon:But the tongue.
David Spoon:Who wrote that?
Fred:Well, you normally give book, chapter and verse, but today you didn't because you would have given the answer.
David Spoon:Correct.
Fred:The answer to your question is James.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Amanda.
David Spoon:Sir, you have to find it amazing.
David Spoon:It's like, man can do so many things, can tame so many.
David Spoon:In fact, man can get to the moon, man can do this, man can fly around, man can do this, but he can't shut up.
David Spoon:It's amazing.
Fred:Well, the tongue costs King Herod his life because he got the bragging on himself that he had given the Great Spirit.
Fred:They said, this is not the voice of man, this is the voice of a God.
Fred:And God took his life right there on his.
Fred:But I think the scripture said he was consumed by worms.
David Spoon:That's right.
Fred:Because he was running his mouth too much.
David Spoon:That's right.
Fred:God hates pride.
David Spoon:Yeah, just hate.
David Spoon:I mean, from.
David Spoon:From worms to a cow for Nebuchadnezzar.
David Spoon:It's like, this is a bad territory to go in.
David Spoon:Watch it.
Fred:You don't want to go before God with pride.
Fred:He hates pride.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:In fact, where it says that in Peter and in James, it says he fights against those.
David Spoon:I mean, he opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
David Spoon:That word opposes is actually a warfare style word to fight against.
David Spoon:And it's like, that's the last thing you want in the world is to be fighting against God.
David Spoon:All the things you can come up with.
David Spoon:Excellent point.
David Spoon:Excellent.
Fred:What an awesome question.
Fred:Thank you so much.
Fred:Hang up and listen to you, my friend and brother.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:God bless you, brother.
Fred:All right.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Great job, my friend.
David Spoon:Excellent work.
David Spoon:All right, so now let's understand something.
David Spoon:We were talking about how important it is for us to be quality thinkers like the Bereans.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:They're quality thinkers.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:And you think, well, why is that important?
David Spoon:I'll show you why it's important.
David Spoon:I don't want you to miss it.
David Spoon:And you've heard it before and you'll hear it again, and you Should.
David Spoon:Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.
David Spoon:By the way, every time you go into the wilderness, it doesn't mean it's not from God.
David Spoon:In fact, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.
David Spoon:But to be tempted by the devil, he fasted 40 days and 40 nights.
David Spoon:He was hungry.
David Spoon:The tempter came to him and said.
David Spoon:He said something.
David Spoon:What does the enemy do?
David Spoon:The enemy speaks.
David Spoon:If you didn't think the enemy speaks, he's been talking to you way too long and you can't discern the voice.
David Spoon:He says, if you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.
David Spoon:Jesus answered, it is written, this is the key.
David Spoon:The enemy comes and he's there to sow doubt.
David Spoon:Some commentators say, well, he doesn't really mean if he's the Son of God.
David Spoon:If he didn't mean if, he wouldn't have used the word.
David Spoon:If that just shows you how far off they are.
David Spoon:If you're the Son of God, if you're really the Son of God.
David Spoon:You know what?
David Spoon:Why don't you show us your power?
David Spoon:Turn these stones in to become bread because you're hungry.
David Spoon:The first temptation while Jesus dealt with it, by the way, was for Jesus to use his power to give himself relief.
David Spoon:That's what Satan was trying to get him to do.
David Spoon:Use your power, O Son of God, to give yourself some relief.
David Spoon:Use your miracles for your own advantage.
David Spoon:Use your miracle power so that you can just benefit.
David Spoon:Okay, that's the first temptation.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:But what is Jesus response?
David Spoon:Well, it's out of Deuteronomy.
David Spoon:Jesus stands against Satan top to bottom simply by quoting Deuteronomy each time.
David Spoon:Don't you find that amazing?
David Spoon:One book was all he needed.
David Spoon:It is written.
David Spoon:I know, but I have something I'm sharing.
David Spoon:No, it is written.
David Spoon:This is exactly like what happens in the garden where Satan says what yea, hath God said.
David Spoon:Just turn that around.
David Spoon:If God really said, if you're the Son of God, don't you see it's all the same thing.
David Spoon:And how you stand against it is to have the word of God in your heart and mind so that you can declare the truth and not be swayed by the suggestion of doubt.
David Spoon:Temptations that come against you, the temptation itself is not the sin.
David Spoon:It's responding in the affirmation of that temptation that is a sin.
David Spoon:It's not the initial thought of lust, it's keeping the thought of lust.
David Spoon:It's not the initial thought of greed.
David Spoon:It's keeping the thought of greed.
David Spoon:It's not the initial thought of doubt.
David Spoon:It's holding on to the thought of doubt.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:That's the truth.
David Spoon:Oh, yeah.
David Spoon:Sanctify them in thy truth.
David Spoon:Thy word is truth.
David Spoon:So the word is truth and the truth is it is written, and that's where you take your stand.
David Spoon:When we come back, there's just this thing, one of my favorite things in scripture that we're going to be jumping into.
David Spoon:So take a deep breath and get ready.
David Spoon:We'll take our exit here and come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right Here on Kaam 770, the Truth Stationer in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
James Robeson:Like any person searching for answers, I, too have wondered about him.
James Robeson:He has a weird sense of humor.
James Robeson:If people are seeking wisdom and insight from the great teachers around the world, would they go to David?
James Robeson:No, I don't think so.
James Robeson:Those big ears really don't help.
James Robeson:Will people enjoy his perspective on culture, politics, food, sports and local and national news?
James Robeson:I don't know.
James Robeson:He's just a client.
James Robeson:Tune in to the David Spoon Experience on kaam.
poon (narrative introduction):What is the David Spoon Experience?
Roger:When Joshua was trying to figure out, you know, the Lord and his decision for the Lord and he was doing pretty good and had good training, he made a decision to follow the Lord.
Roger:Then he made a decision that he wanted to really commit to devotions.
Roger:I told him I was proud of him for that.
Roger:That's his own decision.
Roger:He has to make that call.
Roger:Nobody can choose that.
Roger:You know, I was listening to something the other day, and this is one of the most bizarre statements.
Roger:You're never going to hear a more bizarre statement.
Roger:I hope this gets on the radio.
Roger:You know, you can be born and raised Jewish, you can be born and raised Italian, you can be born and raised in many different things, but you can't be born a Christian.
Roger:Can't do it because you have to make a decision for Jesus Christ.
Roger:There's no being born a Christian.
Roger:That doesn't work.
Roger:That's a lie.
Roger:You have to make a choice, an individual choice.
Roger:Your 15 generations of your family could be Christians when you're born.
Roger:That does not make you Christian.
Roger:When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that's when you become a Christian.
Roger:You understand that difference.
Roger:There's just something that dawned on me, like, you know, people don't talk that way.
David Spoon:Well, he was born in a Christian family.
Roger:That doesn't mean he's a Christian.
Roger:Plenty of murderers came out of Christian families.
David Spoon:That doesn't mean a thing.
Roger:That's nothing.
Roger:But anyway, going back to.
Roger:I had to share that because that's that thought that just really struck me as odd.
Roger:But the power of our words is so noticeable.
Roger:And Jesus says, hey, you know what?
Roger:I got one for you.
David Spoon:By your words, you're going to be.
Roger:Justified, and by your words, you're going to be condemned.
Roger:So my question to pose is why that's so forceful and brutal.
Roger:And the answer is in Matthew, chapter 15.
David Spoon:Matthew.
Roger:You guys like that one, huh?
David Spoon:Like that.
Roger:I could tell below.
Roger:I like that.
Roger:Matthew, chapter 15.
Roger:Here's the reason, verse 18.
Roger: Matthew: David Spoon:That come out of the mouth.
Roger:Come from the heart.
Roger:And the reason that Jesus said, by your words you will be justified, and by your words you'll be condemned is because your words reveal what's in your heart.
David Spoon:And you will know.
Roger:You can listen to other people know by their speech.
Roger:And, and I'm not even talking about coarse language.
David Spoon:I'm not talking about swearing.
Roger:I'm not even talking about any of that.
Roger:I'm not even necessarily talking about negative speech.
Roger:I'm talking about, you will know a person's heart by what they say.
poon (narrative introduction):The David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's K double amen.
David Spoon:770, the truth station station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Well, we're getting ready for our next trivia question.
David Spoon:Your reference point.
David Spoon:Esther, chapter two, verse 12.
David Spoon:Esther, chapter two, verse12.
David Spoon:Esther, chapter two, verse twelve.
David Spoon:Here is your trivia question.
David Spoon:How long did Esther spend preparing herself to meet the king?
David Spoon:How long did Esther spend preparing herself to meet the king?

David Spoon:Nice job, Jeff.
David Spoon:Very nice job.
David Spoon:Nice job, Ken.
David Spoon:Here you go.
David Spoon:Here it is.
David Spoon:If you think you know.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: That's: David Spoon:You can also send an email, davidemustincrease.org how long did Esther spend prepping herself to meet the king?
David Spoon:Esther?
David Spoon:2:12.
David Spoon:In the meantime, we're going to send you up to the website because three reasons.
David Spoon:One, because we need two, two, because we really need two, and then three, because we need to.
David Spoon:Those are the three reasons we're sending you to the website.
David Spoon:You get it?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:On the website is an opportunity to give we would appreciate if you take advantage of that.
David Spoon:If you can't, it's okay.
David Spoon:It's fine.
David Spoon:But you can pray for us, and we need that.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:There's no reserve in that.
David Spoon:This ministry functions off of the giving because we had two days off two weeks ago, one day off last week, maybe two or three days off this week, and then maybe a day next week.
David Spoon:We're taking it on the chin, but we're doing it trusting in the Lord and believing.
David Spoon:And we ask you to do that same thing with us, to trust and believe with us.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Check out on the website, the giving and the other stuff.
David Spoon:I know I only mentioned the giving, but it's how we keep things going.
David Spoon:Check out the other stuff.
David Spoon:There's a lot of cool stuff up there.
David Spoon:4900 hours of podcasts.
David Spoon:Check it out at hemustincrease.org Prayer request hemostincrease.org Praise report.
David Spoon:Hemost.org Looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:Hemostincrease.org Confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:Hemustincrease.org hemustincrease.org it's just such a good sound.
David Spoon:I'm sorry, I just become.
David Spoon:Initially, when I heard it and you told me that was your favorite jam, Jacob, it wasn't like, in my top 10, but now it's like in my top six.
David Spoon:I mean, I really do like it.
David Spoon:It's just like, do, do, do, do.
David Spoon:It's just, like, so good.
David Spoon:Anyway.
David Spoon:All right, all right.
David Spoon:The trivia.
David Spoon:She's got so much stuff to cover.
David Spoon:The trivia question is how long did Esther spend prepping herself to meet the king?
David Spoon:We do have somebody that is ready to answer the trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's go ahead and send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Listener Roger:It's your brother Roger again.
David Spoon:Hello, brother Roger again on Wednesday and not a Thursday.
David Spoon:How are you?
Listener Roger:Well, you're going to be closed Thursday.
David Spoon:Well, we are going to be closed Thursday, you're correct.
David Spoon:And we don't know about Friday.
David Spoon:So Friday's kind of like the one that's in play.
David Spoon:It will depend.
David Spoon:If everything's great, we'll all be here.
David Spoon:If everything's not great, we won't be here.
Listener Roger:So I have to give you my Thursday wisdom on Wednesday.
David Spoon:All right, well, before you do that, let's do the trivia question and then let's get the wisdom that we need.
David Spoon:Here we go, my brother.
David Spoon:Here it is.
David Spoon:How long did Esther prep herself to meet the king?
Listener Roger:12 months.
David Spoon:That is correct, Amanda.
David Spoon:Sir.
David Spoon:Now, I just want to say this.
David Spoon:Before anything else, get out.
David Spoon:For every guy out there and every girl, anybody who complains about it's taking somebody really long to get ready for a date, you should just refer to Esther, chapter 2, verse 12, because it only took Esther 12 months to prep for a date.
David Spoon:Just want to point that out to you.
David Spoon:All right.
Listener Roger:That's pretty good.
Listener Roger:I never thought about it that way before.
David Spoon:That is some prep time.
David Spoon:Are you ready yet?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:Are you ready yet?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:Are you ready yet?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:But that went out for 12 months.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Anyway.
David Spoon:All right, my brother, what do you got?
Listener Roger:If you put all the time together of me waiting on my wife, maybe I got 12 months all put together.
David Spoon:You're married to her.
David Spoon:You can say that.
David Spoon:That's just rich.
David Spoon:I love it.
David Spoon:All right, talk to me.
Listener Roger:I'm really glad she's not listening.
Listener Roger:Really, really glad.
David Spoon:What's happening on your end, sir?
Listener Roger:Everything's good.
Listener Roger:I mean, we're just one day at a time, and that's with a give.
Listener Roger:I give one day at a time.
Listener Roger:I don't take.
Listener Roger:I give it or give it to God.
Listener Roger:Whatever this day brings, it's up to God.
Listener Roger:And I'm.
Listener Roger:I'm just.
Listener Roger:I'm just gonna have the joy of the Lord, which is my strength.
David Spoon:Amen.
Listener Roger:I'm gonna keep.
Listener Roger:I'm gonna keep it.
Listener Roger:But my.
Listener Roger:My.
Listener Roger:This is what come to my mind, and it helped me all these years because when I first got saved, I didn't know how to read.
Listener Roger:Somebody gave me Bible on tape, and I followed along with Bible on tape, and that's where I learned how to read and how I discovered God's word.
Listener Roger:Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.
Listener Roger:And there's so many ways nowadays to hear the word of God.
Listener Roger:We got apps, we got CDs.
Listener Roger:We got different ways.
Listener Roger:Go to church and listen to the minister that faith don't.
Listener Roger:You got to have a minister preaching a little bit here and there or teaching on the radio.
Listener Roger:You know, I know that you're a minister, so we hear the word of God.
Listener Roger:That's how faith comes, you know?
Listener Roger:And you have to be an overcomer till the end.
Listener Roger:And that's my new statement.
Listener Roger:Overcome till the breakthrough.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:And I love that statement.
David Spoon:That's a great statement.
Listener Roger:And we have to.
Listener Roger:In other words, we got to kind of do our part, you know, we have to.
Listener Roger:We.
Listener Roger:It takes works to have faith.
Listener Roger:Works without.
Listener Roger:Faith is dead.
Listener Roger:So, I mean, I.
Listener Roger:I don't fully comprehend all that.
Listener Roger:But I.
Listener Roger:I do fully comprehend that.
Listener Roger:Does that make sense?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:I mean, you have to.
David Spoon:You.
David Spoon:If you have faith, it's just gotta show.
David Spoon:I mean, that's just the easiest way to put it.
David Spoon:If you have faith.
David Spoon:Great.
David Spoon:It's just got to show.
David Spoon:Nobody's telling you how.
David Spoon:It's got to show.
David Spoon:Nobody's telling you what methodology, nobody's telling you what package to put.
David Spoon:Put it in.
David Spoon:It's just got to show.
David Spoon:It's got to be there.
Listener Roger:Yeah.
Listener Roger:And that.
Listener Roger:And.
Listener Roger:But for anybody that's struggling with studying the Bible or.
Listener Roger:I recommend getting an app or getting a CD or getting something where you can read along with the speaker.
Listener Roger:And that will help with the.
Listener Roger:All them names that you can't pronounce.
David Spoon:You know, that's funny.
David Spoon:There's a lot of them I can't pronounce.
David Spoon:But we won't just say anything about that.
David Spoon:We'll just skip on by that.
Listener Roger:Yeah.
Listener Roger:The genealogy.
Listener Roger:You don't have to skip by it when you're reading along with them.
Listener Roger:I mean, you don't have to.
Listener Roger:And it must be important because it's in the word of God.
David Spoon:Exactly.
Listener Roger:I'm.
Listener Roger:I'm gonna follow along with them and just listen.
Listener Roger:That's kind of.
Listener Roger:I feel.
Listener Roger:I feel like that might be a little bit of cheating that I don't learn the correct pronunciation.
Listener Roger:But when they do it, I hear it.
Listener Roger:So then I figure, okay, I've heard the word of God, and I.
Listener Roger:I know what God's trying to say to me.
Listener Roger:So it really helped me in my.
Listener Roger:In my.
Listener Roger:In my journey.
Listener Roger:I don't know.
Listener Roger:I can't tell it anybody else how to do their journey.
Listener Roger:All I can tell you is what helped me in my journey.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:That's a great chair.
David Spoon:You did a great job on that.
David Spoon:And that's actually what.
David Spoon:I'm gonna pick her up right behind that and teach, because that's what I'm teaching on right now.
David Spoon:And that's just so important for people to engage in the word of God.
David Spoon:It's not even funny.
David Spoon:It's not funny how important it is.
David Spoon:It's like, it's critical.
David Spoon:Critical.
James Robeson (interview):Yeah.
Listener Roger:I mean, that way I probably.
Listener Roger:The first 10 years I was born again, the first 10 years, I probably read through the Bible 10 times in 10 years, you know, so.
Listener Roger:And now I just.
Listener Roger:I do this.
Listener Roger:I do the same thing.
Listener Roger:Now I can kind of read it myself, except them big names, you know, But I put.
Listener Roger:When it comes across them big names, I get to My app.
Listener Roger:And I let them.
Listener Roger:I listen again, you know, good call.
Listener Roger:I think it's important to stay in the word.
Listener Roger:But anyway, that's my wisdom.
Listener Roger:I don't know if it's profitable or not, But I'm just telling you what helped me, and I want to pass that along to others.
Listener Roger:It helped me with my journey.
Listener Roger:I hope it.
Listener Roger:If anybody subscribes to my prescription, I hope it helps them.
David Spoon:Amen, brother.
David Spoon:Good job.
David Spoon:Good job.
Listener Roger:And I'm not a doctor like you are.
David Spoon:Yeah, but you just prescribed.
David Spoon:You did.
David Spoon:You did.
David Spoon:You wrote a prescription for goss pills.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:Gospills.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:See?
David Spoon:Come on.
David Spoon:Huh?
David Spoon:Pretty good.
Listener Roger:I ain't heard that one yet.
David Spoon:Yeah, that's a good one.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:All right, brother.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:Excellent phone call.
David Spoon:I'm going to pick it up from there and tell people what this next text is, because this is actually great to build on it from.
David Spoon:So it was really well let in.
David Spoon:So good job.
Listener Roger:I'll be listening.
David Spoon:All right, I'll talk to you later.
Listener Roger:Bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:All right, let's just pick up right from where Roger again brought that up.
David Spoon:The Thursday.
David Spoon:Roger again wisdom on Wednesday.
David Spoon:So you remember, we're just looking at Matthew 4.
David Spoon:1.
David Spoon:Jesus led by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
David Spoon:Fasted 40 days, 40 nights.
David Spoon:He was hungry.
David Spoon:The tempter came to him and said, if you're the son of God, tell these stones to become bread.
David Spoon:Jesus answered, what?
David Spoon:It is written, man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.
David Spoon:Verse 5.
David Spoon:Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
David Spoon:Very few people recognize this is not an easy situation.
David Spoon:He takes them to the holy city, has him stand on the highest point of the temple.
David Spoon:What does he do?
David Spoon:Same line.
David Spoon:If you're the son of God, throw yourself down.
David Spoon:Look what Satan does.
David Spoon:For it is written, he will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands so you will not strike your foot against the stone.
David Spoon:Oh, no.
David Spoon:Satan's actually using part of the word of God.
David Spoon:Does Satan know the word of God?
David Spoon:He's been around a long time.
David Spoon:The odds are pretty good, right?
David Spoon:But Jesus gives the four word answer that will change your life if you will just listen.
David Spoon:If I will just listen.
David Spoon:Jesus answered this.
David Spoon:It is also written.
David Spoon:You see that little also there?
David Spoon:Maybe your translation says it is written again.
David Spoon:Or in addition, do not put the Lord your God to the test.
David Spoon:The biggest thing that Christians fail in, in using the word of God is to be aware that it is also written as a part of our process.
David Spoon:You don't just know one scripture.
David Spoon:You know the scriptures because Satan will try and use bits and pieces and throw them in your direction.
David Spoon:But the way you stand against that is to know all of it.
David Spoon:You're thinking, well, I can't know all of it.
David Spoon:Well, why did he give it to you then?
David Spoon:Of course you can.
David Spoon:You think, what are you trying to tell me, Dave?
David Spoon:I should be immersed in the word of God.
David Spoon:Yes, yes, exactly.
David Spoon:Second Timothy 3, 16, 17.
David Spoon:All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
David Spoon:So the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
David Spoon:That's what it's for.
David Spoon:And knowing bits and pieces is like going to the nicest restaurant in the world and having little bits and pieces when you can have the whole thing in front of you.
David Spoon:What are you doing right now?
David Spoon:Just in case people are wondering, before we close this show, I'm going to pray.
David Spoon:I've got to pray for Nancy's daughter.
David Spoon:We've got to pray for everybody's safety and stuff.
David Spoon:But I want you to listen to this part first.
David Spoon:The devil is the father of lies.
David Spoon:Jesus said in John 8:44, you belong to your father, the devil.
David Spoon:You want to carry out your father's desire.
David Spoon:He was the murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
David Spoon:When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
David Spoon:What is Satan?
David Spoon:He's the father of lies.
David Spoon:Are you getting that?
David Spoon:He's the father of lies.
David Spoon:Well, how do you defeat a lie with the truth?
David Spoon:Well, where's the truth?
David Spoon:Sanctify them by that truth.
David Spoon:Your word is truth.
David Spoon:And so when Satan went through that first temptation process with Jesus, Jesus just called him on the carpet, hey, it's written right here.
David Spoon:And what does Satan do?
David Spoon:He tries to take the very word of God and start to move it in a way that it can be misrepresented.
David Spoon:And Jesus just gives them the.
David Spoon:The four letters that will change the whole game.
David Spoon:It is also written, this is why you need to have all this is why the whole counsel of God is important.
David Spoon:This is why you'll hear people say, well, just this, just this, there's no justice.
David Spoon:People, what they do in their theologies is they exclude other verses because they don't want to have to deal with it.
David Spoon:That's not the way you handle it.
David Spoon:You take in all of the word of God so you can be thoroughly equipped.
David Spoon:Hosea 4, 6.
David Spoon:My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.
David Spoon:He ain't talking about worldly knowledge.
David Spoon:He's not talking about fleshly knowledge.
David Spoon:He's talking about truth.
David Spoon:And the people of God are destroyed because of their lack of knowledge.
David Spoon:And what's amazing about this, I mean, you just can't miss.
David Spoon:This is Psalms 19:7.
David Spoon:The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.
David Spoon:It's like the word of God refreshes you, restores you, recharges you.
David Spoon:Hebrews 4:12.
David Spoon:For the word of God is alive and active.
David Spoon:It's alive.
David Spoon:And that's what you're bringing into your system.
David Spoon:Do you see that?
David Spoon:And so Jesus, I remember the first time I saw this.
David Spoon:It was years ago.
David Spoon:I think I jumped through my skin a little bit.
David Spoon:It's like, wait a minute.
David Spoon:So Jesus is like.
David Spoon:It is also written.
David Spoon:You want to know how to beat the enemy at his tactics?
David Spoon:Know the word of God.
David Spoon:Jesus demonstrated it three times.
David Spoon:He quoted Deuteronomy and he won.
David Spoon:Do you think that's in there by accident?
David Spoon:I don't think so.
David Spoon:Do you think?
David Spoon:I don't think so.
David Spoon:There's a reason.
David Spoon:All right, let me check with Jim and Jacob and see what's going on.
David Spoon:Do you need anything from me, brother?
David Spoon:Are you okay?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, so here's what I want you to catch.
David Spoon:I want you not to miss.
David Spoon:I actually want you to get this.
David Spoon:When you read that book, and you've had pastor after pastor, teacher after teacher, show after show, app after app, every bit.
David Spoon:Oh, read the book, read the book, read the book.
David Spoon:You gotta separate yourself from the dreariness that they bring to it when you read that book.
David Spoon:It's like taking super vitamins.
David Spoon:And the super vitamin for the Christian is which one?
David Spoon:Be one.
David Spoon:And taking that word of God charges you and gives you energy and strength and wisdom and understanding and connection.
David Spoon:And you get to hear the voice of God and you know what he's sounds like.
David Spoon:Isn't that cool?
David Spoon:Don't tell me that's not cool.
David Spoon:That's cool.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:It is also written.
David Spoon:Put that.
David Spoon:If you mark your Bibles, mark that.
David Spoon:Mark that.
David Spoon:In Mark Matthew, chapter seven, four, seven, Jesus said, it is also written.
David Spoon:If you mark your Bibles, mark that, it is also written.
David Spoon:That's the call for all of us to know.
David Spoon:Not know of, but to know the word of God.
David Spoon:All right, all right.
David Spoon:Now I'm going To pray over Nancy's daughter, Amanda.
David Spoon:We're going to be praying over here.
David Spoon:She's at the doctor right there.
David Spoon:Plus, I want to pray for everybody's safety.
David Spoon:If I can squeeze in this last little thing, I will.
David Spoon:We'll see how it goes.
David Spoon:I only got three minutes.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Take your faith and combine it with mine.
David Spoon:Remember, two more gathered together.
David Spoon:There am I in the midst of it.
David Spoon:And if two or more agree upon anything, it shall be done.
David Spoon:Do that then.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now in the name of Jesus Christ, and we ask you, Lord God, to keep all of the people safe over these next couple of days.
David Spoon:We have no idea what's going to happen, Lord.
David Spoon:There might be nothing.
David Spoon:It might be massive.
David Spoon:We don't know.
David Spoon:Doesn't matter because our eyes are focused on you.
David Spoon:We can count on you and we're asking you to protect everybody.
David Spoon:Put the angels in front of us and behind us and keep us safe, all of us.
David Spoon:And let there be no fear or anxiety.
David Spoon:The people of God consume.
David Spoon:Let them consume confidence and peace.
David Spoon:We also lift up Amanda to you, who's going through her imaging process and trying to determine what's going on in her body.
David Spoon:We ask for the healing power that comes through you because you are Jehovah, Rapha, to touch, to bless and to heal her and let her know you're real, fully, fully know you.
David Spoon:Lord God, we lift up all of us, all of our needs, all of these things.
David Spoon:We surrender them to youo and pray for your gracious blessings and you'd great, great faithfulness to continually manifest.
David Spoon:In Jesus name we pray.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:All right, I only have a minute and a half, so let me do.
David Spoon:Don't play history.
David Spoon:I'm just going to read this.
David Spoon:Today is the 13th anniversary of the John 3:16 football game.
David Spoon:I don't know if you guys remember this or not, but this is a classic.
David Spoon:The 3:16 game.
David Spoon:Because of the Bible verse John 3:16.
David Spoon:God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son.
David Spoon:Whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
David Spoon:The Heisman winner Tim Tebow, quarterbacking for the Denver Broncos.
David Spoon:Gotta do this fast.
David Spoon:Against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
David Spoon:He wore John 3:16 on his eye paint.
David Spoon:He passed for 316 yards.
David Spoon:His yards per completion was 31.6.
David Spoon:He rushed for 3.16.
David Spoon:The only interception came at third down and 16.
David Spoon:The Nelson's rating for the show peaked at 31.6.
David Spoon:The Broncos lost the previous three games on an average by 16 points.
David Spoon:It's just fun.
David Spoon:Don't get serious.
Jammin Jacob:I love that game.
David Spoon:That is awesome, awesome, awesome.
David Spoon:All right, here's the deal.
David Spoon:Don't be afraid of that which is to come.
David Spoon:The Lord is with you.
David Spoon:You understand?
David Spoon:That's also written.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, folks, you have been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the true station here in Texas, taking a we don't know how long break.
David Spoon:We will see you as soon as we can.
David Spoon:God bless you.
