And now for something completely different.
Speaker A:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
Speaker A:It's Expository Thursday.
Speaker A:Expository Thursday.
Speaker A:As we work together to know the letter better into the narrative of the book of Colossians, we travel to understand what things the Lord requires of us as we learn to apply God's timeless truths in our lives.
Speaker A:First, we're going to pick it back up in Colossians chapter 2.
Speaker A:Starting with the last half of verse 2, Paul powerfully writes about the mystery of God.
Speaker A:This is where the Epistle shines.
Speaker A:It's incredibly fascinating.
Speaker A:It's just amazing.
Speaker A:It's the mystery of God.
Speaker A:God has a mystery that he's revealing to people.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:What is that mystery?
Speaker A:That they may know the mystery of God, which is Christ.
Speaker A:Jesus is the revealed mystery of God to humanity.
Speaker A:He is the answer.
Speaker A:He is the key.
Speaker A:Next, Paul writes, in verse three, in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Speaker A:We often talk about the word all as if it doesn't really mean all, which is not correct.
Speaker A:In other words, all means all.
Speaker A:Thank you very much.
Speaker A:And in Jesus, all the treasures, not the evils, but all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are in him.
Speaker A:Knowledge is the acquiring of facts and truth.
Speaker A:Wisdom is the ability to use them correctly.
Speaker A:Get it?
Speaker A:Finally, verse four is where the apostle issues a warning and he's very concerned that people will be deceived.
Speaker A:They're already being led away from Jesus and the apostle is trying to redirect them to stay focused on Jesus Christ as the answer.
Speaker A:The reason is that people used by Satan, just like we talked in the prior 30 minutes, will try to deceive others.
Speaker A:This is something we have to deal with, especially when we're talking about politics, academia, media and Hollywood as one of their main goals, without them even knowing it, is to have us take our focus off of Jesus.

Speaker A:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
Speaker A:Lessons for surviving, living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities and Oy vey.
Speaker A:So much more.
Speaker A:Now I want you to catch this, I want you to remember this.
Speaker A:It's not professional radio, it's just radio and sometimes not that great.
Speaker A:But one thing we are committed to is getting to know you and seeing how things are going and hearing what you have to say and what you think.
Speaker A:So in order to do that though, you have to reach out to us.
Speaker A:Davidemasincrease.org is an easy way to do it.
Speaker A:We'll pick it up right live during the show.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or you can call us.
Speaker A:What a telephone?
Speaker A:Dave?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Talking to Jammin Jacob is the same feeling you get when you're being appreciated.
Speaker A:Aw, that's nice.
Speaker A:Thank you, David.
Speaker A:Happy Thursday.
Speaker A:Happy Thursday and Happy New Year to you, my friend.
Speaker A:Happy New Year to you.
Speaker A:We'll discuss the Texas game in a little bit because it was a super unique fourth quarter overtime, overtime scenario.
Speaker A:We will try to get to that.
Speaker A:I do want you to be aware though that you are able to call us, you are able to text us, you are able, you want to be able.
Speaker A:You don't want to be Cain.
Speaker A:You are able to send us an email.
Speaker A:Yes, that was a joke.
Speaker A:You got to be fast.
Speaker A:Here it is.
Speaker A:Why would you do that?
Speaker A:Maybe you've got something that the Lord has done in your life and you know it and you need to share it.
Speaker A:That's one of the great things.
Speaker A:And Jesus would do something and like for the guy that was in the gadarenes in the cemetery, it's like go tell people.
Speaker A:Just share it.
Speaker A:You don't have to say it wise.
Speaker A:You don't have to have.
Speaker A:You don't have to.
Speaker A:Witnessing 101 testimony 201.
Speaker A:Just share it.
Speaker A:The Lord will take care of it.
Speaker A:How it's heard in people's ear ears.
Speaker A:We speak it, he does something with it.
Speaker A:It's his gospel.
Speaker A:And so we just encourage people share.
Speaker A:What has the Lord done for you?
Speaker A:What testimony?
Speaker A:What word of praise?
Speaker A:What praise report do you have share with your brothers and sisters?
Speaker A:Maybe you've got a prayer request.
Speaker A:We're of that weird group of People that think, hey, prayer works.
Speaker A:If it doesn't, Jesus is a liar.
Speaker A:That's the first thing you ought to say to any politician who has that attitude.
Speaker A:Jesus makes it very clear that petitioning.
Speaker A:I mean, he talks about prayer.
Speaker A:Wait.
Speaker A:More than he talks about love.
Speaker A:I wonder what people think when we say that.
Speaker A:It's a fact.
Speaker A:You can't change it.
Speaker A:And so in that process, we're encouraged to be prayers to believe.
Speaker A:And when we pray, we're supposed to be ready to receive.
Speaker A:Not just thinking about it, but prepared to receive.
Speaker A:Maybe you've got prayer requests.
Speaker A:Good, bad or indifferent.
Speaker A:Bring it.
Speaker A:Let's pray.
Speaker A:Maybe you just got something that you want to share.
Speaker A:Lord has blessed you, given you a scripture.
Speaker A:I'm just so blessed that there's so many cool elements within the scripture.
Speaker A:I mean, I love the word of God and it has so much.
Speaker A:So rich.
Speaker A:It's just if we would read it to hear and to listen instead of reading it, because we're just supposed to.
Speaker A:That's the dynamic of our relationship.
Speaker A:It's beautiful when God speaks, it just changes everything.
Speaker A:Remember when he spoke in the beginning?
Speaker A:Then there was a universe, then there was an earth.
Speaker A:That's a lot of power in the word of God, isn't it?
Speaker A:So maybe you got something you want to share along those lines.
Speaker A:In fact, maybe you've got an answer to Bible trivia.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:Maybe you do, maybe you don't.
Speaker A:Let's see if you can get this one.
Speaker A:Whom did God choose to replace Moses to lead the Israelites?
Speaker A:Was it Aaron, Jacob, Joshua or Caleb?
Speaker A:Whom did God choose to replace Moses to lead the Israelites?
Speaker A:Was it Aaron, Jacob, Joshua or Caleb?
Speaker A:Of course your answer is in Exodus 17.
Speaker A:Exodus 17:9 through 10 is your most direct answer.
Speaker A:Exodus 17, 9, 10 is a way to just kind of jump in there in a hurry if you think you know, this is what you do.
Speaker A:And yes, ken, we are here.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or you can send an email, davidemasincrease.org that's david@hemousincrease.org who did God choose to replace Moses to lead the Israelites?
Speaker A:Is it Aaron, Jacob, Joshua or Caleb?
Speaker A:Your answer, Exodus, chapter 17, 9, 10.
Speaker A: r DNA, our very first one for: Speaker A:Our first DNA, get excited.
Speaker A: he exact same thing it was in: Speaker A:Here it is.
Speaker A:D D stands for draw closer to the Lord.
Speaker A:Daily, Daily, Daily, daily, daily, Daily.
Speaker A:I mean, you can't miss the early church.
Speaker A:So I was doing my devotions today.
Speaker A:Acts 2, 42, 47, Acts 316 was my devotions today.
Speaker A:It took me forever.
Speaker A:It took me a really long time.
Speaker A:Amazing stat.
Speaker A:Amazing statement in that passage, how the disciples met together for fellowship and to honor the Lord daily.
Speaker A:We all want to be just like the early church, really, because in the early church, they met every day, not Sundays and Wednesday nights.
Speaker A:Just thought I'd throw that dice in your direction.
Speaker A:So it's important, though, for us to meet with the Lord daily, uninterrupted.
Speaker A:Un.
Speaker A:What's the word I'm looking for?
Speaker A:Distracted.
Speaker A:No distractions, just spending time with you and the Lord.
Speaker A:The Bible says very clearly, be still and know that I am God.
Speaker A:The Lord said in Psalm 46, that's what we should do.
Speaker A:Spend time with him in His Word, in prayer, communing with our King.
Speaker A:If you're gearing up this year to do a better job, here's your rah rah for that.
Speaker A:Get er done.
Speaker A:Get er done.
Speaker A:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Speaker A:D and never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.
Speaker A:Never, never, never.
Speaker A:I don't know how to express this in stronger terms.
Speaker A:Jesus is called the Word of God in John, chapter 1, verse 1 and 2.
Speaker A: to Revelation: Speaker A:And it's a love letter written by God to the human race.
Speaker A:Every word in there is through Jesus Christ because He is the Word of God.
Speaker A:And there is no space for you and I to ever be ashamed.
Speaker A:Even if you don't understand every theology, congratulations, welcome to earth.
Speaker A:But there is no room to be ashamed of Jesus or His words.
Speaker A:And if you want Jesus to be proud of you, let's do the opposite.
Speaker A:If you don't want him to be ashamed of you, then don't be ashamed of him or his words.
Speaker A:That's the N.
Speaker A:So D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or His words.
Speaker A:A.
Speaker A:Always be ready.
Speaker A:Always be ready to serve.
Speaker A:To serve.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:Because being ready to serve is you telling the Lord.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Don't you think that's an amazing thing?
Speaker A:Yes, Lord.
Speaker A:Yes, Lord.
Speaker A:Yes, Lord.
Speaker A:That's what we're saying.
Speaker A:When we're ready to Serve.
Speaker A:It also means that we're not quite as selfish and we're more selfless and we're being like Jesus who came to serve, not to be served.
Speaker A:D Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Speaker A:N Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:A Always be ready to serve.
Speaker A:Boy, I'm just having a great time on this show.
Speaker A:I'm just telling you right now, I'm having more fun than most of you.
Speaker A:All right, so our trivia question, whom did God choose to replace Moses to lead the Israelites?
Speaker A:Was it Aaron, Jacob, Joshua, or Caleb?
Speaker A:Your answer, of course, is going to be in Exodus 17, 9, 10.
Speaker A:And in the meantime, I want to make sure we understand or we're on the same page, the text that we're in in Colossians, because we're in Colossians 2 and we're at verse 2.
Speaker A:So I'm going to back it up, because part of this is really, really, really, really cool.
Speaker A:It says, for I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not met me face to face, that they may be encouraged in heart knit together and loved, and be filled with the full riches of complete understanding so that they may know the mystery of God.
Speaker A:Namely Christ.
Speaker A:The mystery of God.
Speaker A:Now, we do have somebody that's on the phone.
Speaker A:Do they want to answer their trivia question or they got a question?
Speaker A:I have a prayer request.
Speaker A:A prayer request.
Speaker A:Let's go ahead and bring them through and let's pray for them.
Speaker A:Let's do that.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Ann:Hi, Dr.
Ann:David.
Ann:This is the lady you sent the Bible to.
Speaker A:This is Ann.
Ann:Yeah, Ann.
Speaker A:Hi, Ann.
Speaker A:Hi, how are you?
Ann:I was listening to you and I was thinking about this next week.
Ann:They started this weather, people about Sunday night, dropping down into the 20s all next week, 40s during the day.
Ann:And I'm being prepared.
Ann:I got my toe warmers, my hand warmers, and plenty of blankets.
Ann:My sister brought me some groceries yesterday because I won't be getting out unless I walk to the road to the mailbox, and that'll be it.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Do you want me to pray over you so you're not.
Speaker A:So that fear doesn't kind of attack you?
Speaker A:Sir, do you want me to pray over you for safety?
Ann:Because I'm trying to stay healthy.
Ann:I've had my flu shot.
Ann:You know, I'm very elderly lady, and I, you know, I've had pneumonia and walking pneumonia in past years, and I have allergy Problems, you know, pollen allergy problems, and seems like every time the wind changes, it's blowing something different in, you know, But I've had upper respiratory infections, but I want to.
Ann:I just.
Ann:You know, I've been praying that I stay healthy.
Ann:I've had my flu shot, and I don't like this cold, which we.
Ann:We have to.
Ann:You know, we have to deal with it.
Ann:Nothing we can do about it.
Ann:And then my niece, that which I helped raise her, she calls me mom number two.
Ann:She already brought me some homemade stew she made.
Speaker A:Wow, nice.
Ann:Well prepared for next week.
Speaker A:So, anyway, well, let me pray over you, Ann.
Speaker A:Let me pray over you and just ask the Lord to bless you and comfort your heart.
Ann:Okay, thank you, sir.
Speaker A:Let's do it.
Speaker A:Let's pray.
Speaker A:Father, we come before you right now.
Speaker A:We lift up our sister Ann to you right now, Lord.
Speaker A:We ask you to bring comfort into her heart.
Speaker A:Now, she's here in the news, Lord, and sometimes the news that makes our blood pressure go up just a little bit, Lord, and so we need your help in those kind of things.
Speaker A:And we're asking you, because you are the God of comfort, because you are the God of peace, because you are the God of security and protection, because you are the God of health, we are asking you to cover our sister Ann in her mind, in her heart, and in her body, that she would be protected.
Speaker A:She would do well.
Speaker A:She would not be afraid, that she would not lose her faith and be afraid, but instead stand firm, believing in your protection and your goodness for her.
Speaker A:We just ask you to bless her, encourage her, and give her confidence for that which is coming forward, because you are in charge of everything, Lord, and she can count on you.
Speaker A:We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Speaker A:Amen and amen.
Ann:Amen.
Speaker A:Amen.
Ann:I want to thank you, and, sir, I keep praying for my.
Ann:My sister and my niece that tried to, you know, help me out a little bit, and that I've been praying that they be safe.
Ann:They're on the road all the time, you know, work and all of that.
Ann:And that I never had any children, so they.
Ann:They kind of, you know, helped me out some.
Speaker A:Well, you got it.
Speaker A:We'll pray for them as well.
Speaker A:The audience will pray for them as well, just to keep them safe.
Speaker A:Okay?
Ann:Yes, sir.
Ann:And I thank you so much.
Ann:Happy New Year.
Speaker A:Happy New Year to you and God bless you.
Ann:God bless you, too, sir.
Speaker A:Bye.
Speaker A:Bye.
Ann:Bye.
Speaker A:All right, you heard it.
Speaker A:You got to be praying for Ann's family, right?
Speaker A:Everybody got that Obligation.
Speaker A:Here you go on the trivia question, whom always like them when they go, whom?
Speaker A:You know, there's the knock knock joke.
Speaker A:Do you ever hear this knock knock joke?
Speaker A:They go, knock knock.
Speaker A:You go, who's there?
Speaker A:And the person goes, it's whom.
Speaker A:Isn't that mean that's the kind of person that shouldn't tell jokes Anyway, who did God choose to replace Moses to lead the Israelites?
Speaker A:Was that Aaron, Jacob, Joshua or Caleb?
Speaker A:According to Exodus 17, 9, 10, the answer is the name of my firstborn Joshua.
Speaker A:Yeshua, Yeshua, Yeshua, Yeshua.
Speaker A:Hamashiach.
Speaker A:Also Joshua in the Greek.
Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:We will take our break and then we will come back.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, that true station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break, don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:Have you ever wanted to get involved with a ministry that promotes Jesus Christ as Lord, but just don't know how?
David Spoon:Serving in ministry is a matter of devotion, time and talent.
David Spoon:Are you looking for a place to try and test the waters?
David Spoon:Do you want to get involved?
David Spoon:Come join the Ambassadors initiative.
David Spoon:Be an ambassador for the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:It doesn't pay great.
David Spoon:Actually, it doesn't pay anything.
David Spoon:But the eternal benefits are out of this world.
David Spoon:Be a representative.
David Spoon:Why not?
David Spoon:It couldn't hurt.
David Spoon:Well, we hope not.
David Spoon:Anyway, you don't need to be a professionally qualified minister.
David Spoon:You need to have a pulse.
David Spoon:By that we mean you need to have a heart.
David Spoon:Just go to hemustincrease.org that's hemustincrease.org click on the three lines at the top right of the website and then click click on the Ambassador's Initiative link, fill out the form and we will reach out to you.
David Spoon:Sorry, no parking tickets will be paid for you as an ambassador through this position.
Speaker A:What is the David Spoon Experience?
Speaker A:Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God.
Speaker A:For you and I, God provided his own burnt offering, his own lamb of sacrifice.
Speaker A:Because our presentations are not that hot.
Speaker A:And this is where you get the understanding that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Speaker A:All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Speaker A:How many?
Speaker A:All.
Speaker A:And the wages of sin is death.
Speaker A:That's the result.
Speaker A:But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Speaker A:And God showed his love for us while we were still sinners.
Speaker A:That Christ died for us.
Speaker A:That's the love.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:He was the sacrificial lamb.
Speaker A:And if you have never made that decision, I invite you right now to make that decision to Acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord.
Speaker A:If you declare with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Speaker A:Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Speaker A:This is where you get John 3:16, which people will say is the gospel in a scripture which is not far off.
Speaker A:For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Speaker A:That gift is available for you.
Speaker A:And if you have never exercised that acceptance of that gift, I encourage you to do so by saying this prayer.
Speaker A:And don't go anywhere because I got another one for all of us.
Speaker A:Heavenly Father, I surrender my life.
Speaker A:Lord Jesus Christ, I give you my heart.
Speaker A:Pour out your holy spirit, for I believe you rose from the dead.
Speaker A:And I confess with my mouth you died for my sins.
Speaker A:According to the scriptures, you were buried and three days later you rose again.
Speaker A:You ascended to the Father and are coming back soon.
Speaker A:And I thank you for this new life you've given me.
Speaker A:I praise you and pray this in your name.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:If you prayed that prayer for the first time, you are now a Christian.
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's K double amen.
Speaker A:770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Getting ready for your next trivia question.
Speaker A:Here we go.
Speaker A:Who was Simon Peter's brother?
Speaker A:Is it John, James, Andrew or Matthew?
Speaker A:John 6, 8 is your reference point.
Speaker A:Who was Simon Peter's brother?
Speaker A:Was it John, James, Andrew or Matthew, John?
Speaker A:The Gospel of John 6:8 is your reference point.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or you can send an email david@hemustincrease.org?
Speaker A:straightforward.
Speaker A:Who was Simon Peter's brother?
Speaker A:Was it John, James, Andrew or Matthew?
Speaker A:John 6:8 is your reference point.
Speaker A:Quick reminder, my family may.
Speaker A:I didn't say they will, but they may end up coming still into the studio.
Speaker A:They're still on the way.
Speaker A:We're going to see.
Speaker A:Maybe they can catch the last half hour of the show.
Speaker A:That'd be fun because they've never done that before.
Speaker A:And then also we are gonna do our best to talk briefly about the college scenario that took place yesterday in the meantime, in the meantime, as we have somebody on the phone, are they ready to answer the trivia question?
Speaker A:They are.
Speaker A:Well, then let's do this.
Speaker A:Let's send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker A:This is Gary.
Speaker A:How are you today?
Speaker A:I'm doing pretty good, Gary.
Speaker A:I'm doing pretty good.
Speaker A:You know, whenever I have a day off versus, like a full day, I seem to have a lot more energy.
Speaker A:That next comeback day, I don't know what it is, just doing nothing but sitting there going, I don't want to eat anymore.
Speaker A:I don't want to think anymore.
Speaker A:I just want to sit here.
Speaker A:That seems to help me for some reason.
Speaker A:Just kind of like.
Speaker A:It's kind of like regeneration time, like the Sabbath approach.
Speaker A:So the new year has gone pretty good so far.
Speaker A:Yeah, pretty good so far.
Speaker A:We're really happy with it.
Speaker A:Let me set you up with this question.
Speaker A:And then, my brother, we wanna pray for you and ask the Lord to bless you, not just physically, but in other ways as well.
Speaker A:But we're focusing on the physical, so let's set it up.
Speaker A:Who was Simon Peter's brother?
Speaker A:Was it John, James, Andrew, or Matthew?
Speaker A:It was Andrew.
Speaker A:That is correct.
Speaker A:Amandass.
Speaker A:And I always.
Speaker A:I do feel bad because in most of those stories it is Peter, James, and John.
Speaker A:And it's like, what happened to Andrew?
Speaker A:He used to be in the middle of everything.
Speaker A:So you kind of feel bad sometimes for him.
Speaker A:I mean, I know I'm not supposed to, but I do.
Speaker A:It's like, what happened to that guy?
Speaker A:Wasn't he a part of that?
Speaker A:I thought he was the one that brought everybody in.
Speaker A:Anyway.
Speaker A:All right, so excellent job on the trivia.
Speaker A:And I want to pray over you and ask the Lord to heal you.
Speaker A:And we're just not going to quit because Jesus taught us to pray with persistence, and that's what we're gonna do.
Speaker A:Is that cool?
Gary:Okay.
Speaker A:All right, let's do it.
Speaker A:Father, we come before you right now.
Speaker A:We lift up our brother Gary and we ask you to bless him.
Speaker A:We ask you to just pour your Holy Spirit into his body.
Speaker A:There is nothing I can do, Lord, but there is something you can do for Gary, and that is touch him by the power of your spirit.
Speaker A:In the name of Jesus Christ, the same spirit that rose Jesus from the dead.
Speaker A:Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit that gave life.
Speaker A:We're asking that you would pour into Gary.
Speaker A:I mean, pour into him, and that he would know his body is being strengthened.
Speaker A:He would know his body is being touched.
Speaker A:Lord, we'll keep praying.
Speaker A:We're not going to quit.
Speaker A:We're just going to keep on praying persistently believing that our brother will receive, that he's going to receive grace, goodness, touch, healing, love, comfort from your hand.
Speaker A:Not from our hand, from you.
Speaker A:Lord, bring your healing power into him as after all, your name is Jehovah.
Speaker A:Rapha, the God that heals.
Speaker A:Please bring that healing for.
Speaker A:For Gary, for our brother.
Speaker A:In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen and amen.
Gary:Amen.
Gary:Thank you very much.
Gary:I've been praying for all of you and I'll continue to pray for you.
Speaker A:Thank you, brother, and God bless you.
Gary:God bless you.
Speaker A:All right, all right, here we go back into the text.
Speaker A:Let me go into this text real briefly, folks.
Speaker A:I want you to catch how important this is.
Speaker A:And this is where you get into.
Speaker A:We talked about Christology.
Speaker A:Christology is the study of Christ.
Speaker A:And in Colossians it's one of the foremost elements of the entire teaching.
Speaker A:The whole thing is to center around Jesus to combat doctrines that were trying to take people's focus off of Jesus, going, oh, well, Jesus reminded us of God, but now we can just do it without him kind of mentality.
Speaker A:And this is everything that Paul is writing against.
Speaker A:And so when he picks it up, listen to what he says.
Speaker A:And I wanna go through this ramp.
Speaker A:Cause I want you to catch this.
Speaker A:I want you to know how much I'm struggling for you and those at Laodicea and all who have not met me face to face.
Speaker A:Remember last week we talked about that being a really strong element to radio ministry.
Speaker A:Verse 2.
Speaker A:That they may be encouraged in heart knit together and loved and filled with the full riches of complete understanding, so that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Speaker A:So I want you to catch this.
Speaker A:I don't want you to miss this.
Speaker A:When you think of mystery, you think, ah, mystery.
Speaker A:Like my family plays mystery games and they try to, you know, figure out who did this, what kind of like clue, like games, only at a whole nother level.
Speaker A:And it's like, oh, it's a mystery, it's this.
Speaker A:But see, God for years and years had this mystery that he was getting ready to reveal.
Speaker A:This mystery that he was going to manifest in the last days, this mysterious mystery that it was going to make known to all of humanity.
Speaker A:And we find out that this mystery is Jesus.
Speaker A:Jesus.
Speaker A:You know, if you play a mystery game, your whole point is to get the clues so you can solve it.
Speaker A:That's exactly what's going on?
Speaker A:All those clues in the Old Testament points to Jesus.
Speaker A:He's the solution to the puzzle.
Speaker A:He's the answer.
Speaker A:And people, I mean, people love mystery.
Speaker A:They love that kind of stuff.
Speaker A:They look into it and get into it.
Speaker A:There's nothing wrong with it.
Speaker A:It's great.
Speaker A:It's fun too.
Speaker A:It's awesome.
Speaker A:But the mystery of God, the most fascinating puzzle to solve of every puzzle ever is God's mystery.
Speaker A:And he gives all these clues from Genesis 3:15 all the way to manifest that the clues all point to and the solution to the puzzle is.
Speaker A:And the answer for everybody is Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:He is the answer to the mystery.
Speaker A:People are like, well, that's everything.
Speaker A:Everything.
Speaker A:The fullness of the Godhead dwells in him bodily.
Speaker A:Everything in Jesus.
Speaker A:And then you just laugh because people are like, well, I don't really need to pray in Jesus name.
Speaker A:Oh no.
Speaker A:But six times in three chapters in John he said to why would you not do that?
Speaker A:That's so weird.
Speaker A:Why would you not?
Speaker A:It's just bizarre.
Speaker A:But the mystery of God is Jesus.
Speaker A:And in Jesus are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Speaker A:So again, we always talk about that word all.
Speaker A:Well, how many is all?
Speaker A:All is all.
Speaker A:All wisdom and knowledge.
Speaker A:Knowledge is the acquiring of facts.
Speaker A:Wisdom is the application of those facts.
Speaker A:That is who Jesus is.
Speaker A:Get it?
Speaker A:Take a short break, then come back.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station air in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break, we'll be back.
Speaker A:Don't go anywhere.
Speaker A:The David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:There was a pastor.
Speaker A:Now I use that word with some reservation, having been involved in ministry and having the privilege of planting seven churches throughout the United States and having three separate ordinations.
Speaker A:I have a tremendous amount of respect for people who commit their lives into ministry.
Speaker A:But whenever there's somebody on television or anywhere else that is a nut job, then I just call it like I see it, okay?
Speaker A:That's what I call it.
Speaker A:Call it like I see it.
Speaker A:On the Sean Hannity show, roughly about two weeks ago, a Reverend so called Reverend Oliver White was on the show.
Speaker A:And Reverend Wright said this, and I'm going to repeat it because some of these things are just unbelievable.
Speaker A:He said that Jesus was wrong about marriage.
Speaker A:At least he didn't have the audacity to say he never said anything about marriage.
Speaker A:He said Jesus was wrong about marriage and that marriage should be more than between a man and a woman.
Speaker A:And then he proceeded to say this statement, ladies and gentlemen, he said this.
Speaker A:Now this isn't even the thing that's irritating.
Speaker A:Then he proceeded to say this.
Speaker A:If Jesus were alive today, he said he would say, I didn't know it all.
Speaker A:This is a man who's supposed to be representing Jesus Christ as a minister.
Speaker A:This guy's no minister.
Speaker A:And if you want to say, well, that's judging.
Speaker A:I'll take that judgment all day long.
Speaker A:All day long.
Speaker A:I'll take that judgment no matter what anybody says.
Speaker A:Here's a guy that says two things.
Speaker A:One, Jesus was wrong about marriage.
Speaker A:Two, if Jesus were alive today.
Speaker A:Any person who proclaims or professes to be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and questions whether Jesus Christ is alive today or not is not a minister, but a false teacher.
Speaker A:I don't care.
Speaker A:I don't care if you like it.
Speaker A:I don't care if you think that's mean.
Speaker A:That's irrelevant.
Speaker A:Facts are facts.
Speaker A:And here's the thing that just overwhelms me.
Speaker A:This overwhelms me.
Speaker A:Ladies and gentlemen, any person who is in public office.
Speaker A:Now, this goes with this.
Speaker A:All three, three of these things go together.
Speaker A:Any person who is in public office who changes their convictions about same sex marriage because another family member has made a decision to go into the lifestyle of being gay or lesbian, any person who changes their convictions, their biblical Christian convictions based on another family member changing their status into a.
Speaker A:A gay or lesbian lifestyle and then that person then changes their Bible convictions to accommodate their family member, is not fit to be a Christian.
Speaker A:That's right, I said it.
Speaker A:The David spoon Experience again.
Speaker A:Dr.
Speaker A:Robert Jeffress.
Speaker A:Doctor, are you there with us?
Dr. Robert Jeffress:I'm here with you, David.
Speaker A:I'm so glad that you're here.
Speaker A:I gotta ask you this question.
Speaker A:I get a little fiery, especially, especially when Christians are being accused of things that are false.
Speaker A:And that happens all the time, especially in the media.
Speaker A:And I think if you remember our very first time we ever talked, I told you how impressed I was with you that you are able to keep your spirit steady.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:I appreciate that so much.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:You're a good friend.
Speaker A:I appreciate that.
Speaker A:Here's the thing that drives me absolutely batty, which is where I need your help now.
Speaker A:I understand this situation with Tim Tebow.
Speaker A:He was gonna do a dedication for you.
Speaker A:He got a lot of pressure, apparently from the media.
Speaker A:The media accused you of being homophobic and anti Semitic, which for me, I mean, it was.
Speaker A:I guess when I first heard it, I was overwhelmed.
Speaker A:First of all, anti Semitic is a person who discriminates against or is prejudiced or hostile towards Jews.
Speaker A:You've been on my show now this is three time, and I'm as Jewish as they come.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:Yeah, well, David, I mean, the charge of anti Semitic comes from saying that everyone, including Jews, must trust in Christ in order to go to heaven.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:That is hardly anti Semitic.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:In fact, I have a Jewish friend in New York who called me this week.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:She's not a Christian, but she said, I don't understand all of this, said, I don't believe in the New Testament.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:But you do.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:You're simply saying what the New Testament says.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:And you know, David, we've said before, you know, Jesus said, I'm the way, the truth and the life.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:No man comes to the Father but by me.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:And I remind people Jesus was not a Southern Baptist evangelist.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:He was a Jewish rabbi.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:And yet you look at what he said, what the apostle Paul said, the apostle Peter.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:Here are the three most prominent men of the New Testament, every one of them a devout Jew.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:And yet they said there's one way to God, and that's through faith in Christ.
Dr. Robert Jeffress:That is not anti Semitic.
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Speaker A:That's Ka.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Speaker A:The reason for the extra fill is the family has moved from the car into the studio.
Speaker A:So we now have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
Speaker A:Seven people in this studio.
Speaker A:The most we've ever had before.
Speaker A:And so what we're going to do is we're going to do a very brief.
Speaker A:Let them just all say a collective hello, and then we're going to get back into the show because we still have many things to do and many things to accomplish.
Speaker A:So when I count to three, all you guys are going to collectively say hello.
Speaker A:One.
Speaker A:One, two, three.
Speaker A:Hello.
Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:There it is.
Speaker A:You just heard it from the Shillers.
Speaker A:There it is right there.
Speaker A:Schillers are in studio live right here at Kaam 7 7.
Speaker A:Okay, 770.
Speaker A:All right, let's get into this.
Speaker A:We do want to do our next trivia question, by the way.
Speaker A:So our next trivia question is going to be a little tight.
Speaker A:It shouldn't be too tough, but a little tougher.
Speaker A:Kids, make sure not to shout it out.
Speaker A:Here it is.
Speaker A:Which psalm is the shortest?
Speaker A:Which psalm is the shortest?
Speaker A:Is it 3, 16, 23 or 117?
Speaker A:Joy Ann and Cordelia not even letting me finish the question before she's answering.
Speaker A:They're answering.
Speaker A:That's Pretty sharp, ladies.
Speaker A:I like it.
Speaker A:Pretty straightforward.
Speaker A:And I can't tell you the answer because if I give you the answer, then you have the answer.
Speaker A:And that's not a trivia question.
Speaker A:Which psalm is the shortest?
Speaker A:And we're not talking about Height as in 6 foot 5 or 6 foot 1, which is the shortest?
Speaker A:Psalm 3, Psalm 16, Psalm 23, or Psalm 117.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or send an email david@hemustincrease.org in the meantime, I'm going to send you up to the website.
Speaker A:Why am I doing that?
Speaker A:Because in our society here for our ministry to keep going, it's pretty straightforward.
Speaker A:We walk by and live by the donations of the people.
Speaker A:And yes, it is tax deductible if you talk to your accountant.
Speaker A:I don't know otherwise because I'm not an accountant.
Speaker A:But here's what I'm going to tell you.
Speaker A:Your giving helps miss ministry keep going.
Speaker A:And we love that because we love to do it.
Speaker A:Proverbs 3.
Speaker A:9 says what?
Speaker A:Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce.
Speaker A:You don't honor God with leftovers.
Speaker A:You honor God with the best of.
Speaker A:Get that?
Speaker A:The best of.
Speaker A:So even if you don't give to us and you're giving somewhere else, we want to remind you, you don't look in the wallet and take what's left over and give it.
Speaker A:You give God the best.
Speaker A:Best.
Speaker A:After all, he gave you his best, right?
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:That's true, Dave.
Speaker A:I know.
Speaker A:All right, here we go.
Speaker A:Send you to the website.
Speaker A:Check out hemustincrease.org prayer request.
Speaker A:Hemostincrease.org praise report.
Speaker A:He mustincrease.org looking to give to this ministry.
Speaker A:He mustincrease.org confused by what's happening right now?
Speaker A:He must give.
Speaker A:Increase.org hemustincrease.org Mr.
Speaker A:Owl, how many licks.
Ann:Does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie box?
Speaker A:A good question.
Speaker A:Let's find out.
Speaker A:One, two, three.
Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:And the answer to that one was what?
Speaker A:Three.
Speaker A:Get it?
Speaker A:Okay, cool.
Speaker A:All right, our trivia question.
Speaker A:Pretty straightforward, not too complex.
Speaker A:Which psalm is the shortest?
Speaker A:Is it 3?
Speaker A:Is it 6?
Speaker A:16?
Speaker A:Is it 23 or is it 17?
Speaker A:We do have somebody on the line.
Speaker A:Let's go ahead and send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker A:Hello, Brother Roger again.
Speaker A:Hello, Brother Roger again.
Speaker A:How are you?
Gary:I'm good.
Speaker A:Oh, okay.
Speaker A:I got my entire Schiller family in the studio.
Speaker A:They've been spending Christmas and New Year's with us.
Speaker A:And so you got four kids that are eight and under and two adults that are hoping the kids don't scream out wildly while the show is going on.
Speaker A:It's pretty funny to watch.
Speaker A:Let me set you up on the trivia question, and then we'll get some words of wisdom from you.
Speaker A:Okay, you ready?
Speaker A:Okay, here we go.
Speaker A:First and foremost, the trivia question.
Speaker A:Which psalm is the shortest?
Speaker A:3.
Speaker A:16, 23, or 117.
Gary:I believe it's 117.
Speaker A:That is correct, Amando.
Speaker A:Sir, you are right.
Speaker A:That's excellent, brother.
Speaker A:That is a short, short, short, short, short psalm.
Speaker A:It's like, hello, two verses.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Hello, goodbye, two verses.
Speaker A:How art thou, brother?
Gary:And then you read 1 18, and then you read 119.
Gary:119 is the longest one.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:And somebody showed me a statistic that said that actually, Psalm 18 might actually be very close to the very middle of the Bible.
Speaker A:So you have to think that's bizarre because you have the smallest, then you have the middle, and then you have the longest.
Speaker A:Like, wow, that's weird.
Speaker A:Anyway, how art thou, brother?
Speaker A:How was New Year's?
Speaker A:How was Christmas?
Speaker A:How are you doing?
Gary:I'm doing okay.
Gary:I mean, I'm not going to let circumstances generate my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Amen.
Gary:No.
Gary:No circumstances is going to change my mind or my heart.
Gary:Most of all, my heart.
Gary:You know, my mind.
Gary:Sometimes my mind struggles a little bit, but my heart never struggles.
Speaker A:Amen, brother.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:So that's great because that's just.
Speaker A:You walk by faith and not by sight.
Speaker A:You don't walk by what you can see.
Speaker A:You walk by what you can believe.
Gary:Yeah, I don't have much wisdom today.
Gary:I did have a joke, but I don't know.
Gary:You got kids in the.
Speaker A:Is it a clean one?
Gary:Might make them cringe a little bit.
Speaker A:Go ahead, Roger.
Speaker A:Go ahead.
Speaker A:If it's really bad, then you'll probably get the buzz from Jacob.
Speaker A:But outside of that, give it a shot.
Speaker A:It's okay.
Gary:Give it a try.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Gary:Okay.
Gary:There's a.
Gary:There's a new taco place in town that has specialized meat, and they say it's very tasty, and some people say it's perfect.
Speaker A:Oh, my gosh.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I think too, Aunt Deb probably would not like that either, being the fan she is of that species.
Speaker A:That's pretty good, though, Rud, the fact that you were willing to do it.
Speaker A:You are a brave man.
Speaker A:Love you, brother.
Speaker A:That was really cute.
Speaker A:We appreciate that.
Gary:They probably don't get it anyway.
Speaker A:I know.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:You're right.
Speaker A:You're right.
Speaker A:They don't.
Speaker A:That's okay.
Speaker A:Nice job.
Speaker A:All right, go ahead.
Gary:They didn't get it from Ohio.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Love it.
Speaker A:Awesome.
Speaker A:We're going to keep you and your wife in prayer.
Speaker A:You keep us posted.
Gary:That's my wisdom for today.
Speaker A:You got it.
Gary:Keep laughing.
Gary:You'll be all right.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:Mary Hart does make like medicine.
Speaker A:You got it.
Speaker A:All right.
Gary:We love you, God bless you all, and have a happy, happy new Year with your family.
Speaker A:Thank you, brother.
Gary:All right, bye.
Speaker A:Okay, talk to you later.
Speaker A:Bye.
Speaker A:All right, good job by brother Roger again.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:All right, so I'll give you one more joke to throw in there.
Speaker A:Get ready.
Speaker A:Let's see if you got the buzzer ready.
Speaker A:What do you call a cow with a twitch?
Speaker A:Beef jerky.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah.
Speaker A:Come on now.
Speaker A:Come on.
Speaker A:All right, one more.
Speaker A:Why shouldn't you write with a broken pencil?
Speaker A:Because it's pointless.
Speaker A:I got two out of that.
Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:I like it.
Speaker A:All right, here we go.
Speaker A:Back to our text.
Speaker A:Now, we want to make sure we understand, remember all the things that we do.
Speaker A:We center around the word of God, our connection with God, our relationship with God.
Speaker A:When we read his Word, he's talking to us.
Speaker A:When we're praying, we're sharing our heart with Him.
Speaker A:The essence of relationship is listening and talking, listening and talking.
Speaker A:And the listening part's when we're in the Word and talking is when we're sharing.
Speaker A:And then there's some mix over, because sometimes when you're praying, God will speak to you directly.
Speaker A:And then sometimes even when you're reading, you share your heart with God at the same moment.
Speaker A:That's all the essence of relationship.
Speaker A:That's the life of it.
Speaker A:But here we are in Colossians 2, and you gotta catch this.
Speaker A:Okay, so we just finished this part.
Speaker A:Namely, the mystery of God is what is Jesus Christ the answer to the mystery?
Speaker A:All the puzzle pieces put together for all the games that are playing in God's economy, it all points to Jesus.
Speaker A:He's the solution to the puzzle.
Speaker A:And in him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Speaker A:Everything you need to know you're going to find in Jesus.
Speaker A:But in verse 4, the apostle Paul takes a quick, very powerful turn.
Speaker A:He says, I say this so that no one will deceive you by smooth rhetoric.
Speaker A:For though I am absent from you in the body, I am present with you in spirit.
Speaker A:And I delight to see your orderly condition and firm faith in Christ.
Speaker A:The first thing he warns about is, hey, I don't want you guys to be led astray.
Speaker A:And you're thinking, why in the universe would anybody try to lead somebody astray from Jesus Christ?
Speaker A:And that answer is simple.
Speaker A:People that are used by Satan without even knowing it are being used to deceive others and lead them away from Christ.
Speaker A:And you think, well, where does that come from?
Speaker A:The garden.
Speaker A:Yea, hath God said, that's what the enemy said.
Speaker A:That's what the enemy says through people.
Speaker A:That's what the enemy says through people who are connected in different arenas.
Speaker A:That's why you hear me on this show and everybody who's talking and preaching on television, on radio, in the churches, everywhere, that we need to be very careful about politics and academia and the media and Hollywood, if at any point they are trying to take our focus off of Jesus, because that is where the enemy comes in.
Speaker A:What he wants us to do is focus on other stuff.
Speaker A:You know what's just important to us.
Speaker A:When the enemy gets us doing that, we become very selfish.
Speaker A:We become very self centered and it doesn't please the Lord.
Speaker A:And Paul's like, you know what, you better watch out.
Speaker A:These people, they're there and they're going to try and deceive you, move you away from Jesus.
Speaker A:You don't let anybody, no person anywhere ever move you away from Jesus.
Speaker A:Never.
Speaker A:All those people who do all that stuff, you know what they have to offer you when you die?
Speaker A:Nothing.
Speaker A:But you know what Jesus has to offer you when you die?
Speaker A:Eternity with God dancing on streets of gold in mansions that he has prepared.
Speaker A:Now which one of those sounds right?
Speaker A:Okay, not that complex.
Speaker A:But then he says this.
Speaker A:He says, listen, he says, I am present with you in spirit.
Speaker A:He says, although I'm absent from you in the body, I'm present with you in spirit.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:And I delight to see your orderly condition and firm faith in Christ.
Speaker A:This again is another one of those radio affirmers.
Speaker A:We just talked about that last week, how that Paul was saying, even though I've never seen you face to face, it's my desire to encourage you.
Speaker A:That's a lot of what we talk about in radio.
Speaker A:Ministry.
Speaker A:But he does it again, second week in a row.
Speaker A:I remember when I was doing this in my devotion, I was like, going, what?
Speaker A:Listen to what he says.
Speaker A:Though I'm absent with you in the body, I'm present with you in spirit.
Speaker A:Now, this is again, a powerful confirmation for radio ministry, television ministry, different ministries.
Speaker A:Paul is not connecting with them physically.
Speaker A:He's not there.
Speaker A:In fact, he never meets the people at the church at Colossae, ever.
Speaker A:But he gets a lot from them, and they get a lot from Paul.
Speaker A:He's connected with them, even though it's not that physical connection.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:Because they have one heavenly Father.
Speaker A:And when Jesus said to pray, he said, pray our Father.
Speaker A:He didn't say, pray my Father.
Speaker A:He said, pray our Father.
Speaker A:We're blood relatives.
Speaker A:What do you mean?
Speaker A:I got blood relatives in this room.
Speaker A:Hey, you know what?
Speaker A:Christians are blood relatives.
Speaker A:The blood of Jesus Christ unites us, and we drink of one Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:And that's why we tell you, in Ephesians, it says, keep the unity, not find the unity.
Speaker A:It's there.
Speaker A:And what Paul says, even though I'm kind of far away, even though I'm not right next to you, I'm just so blessed I'm connected to you still because we're connected together through what we believe.
Speaker A:And again, the church would do well, we would all do well to get a little bit better grip that this is not about denomination on denomination, but it is about all of us hanging together.
Speaker A:If you meet somebody and they're a different denomination, but you know they love Jesus, that's your brother or your sister, you're going to spend eternity with them.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:So Paul says it this way.
Speaker A:He's connected to them even though he's not physically present.
Speaker A:He's never going to see them face to face, but he's with them.
Speaker A:He loves them and he cares for them.
Speaker A:And that's what we're supposed to do with one another.
Speaker A:And so we talk about different people that will call the show, like Brother Roger again and his wife and him going through their trials.
Speaker A:The reason that you pray for them is because that's your brother.
Speaker A:That's what Jesus teaches when he teaches in Galatians 6:2, carry one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Speaker A:Carrying another person's burden as your own fulfills what Jesus has in mind for you and I dealing with other believers.
Speaker A:And that's why you get into 1 Corinthians 12.
Speaker A:And it says, we laugh with those who laugh.
Speaker A:We weep with those who Weep.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:Because we're a family.
Speaker A:And we're not a family for 60, 70, 80, 90 years.
Speaker A:Just get this.
Speaker A:We're going to be a family for millions and millions of years.
Speaker A:Either get into it or get out of it.
Speaker A:It's like, yep, gotta get into this.
Speaker A:And so that's what Paul is communicating to the church.
Speaker A:He's telling them, listen, the answer is, Jesus, stop trying to make other answers.
Speaker A:And what they were trying to do is say, well, Jesus helped us get closer, but now we'll take it from here.
Speaker A:That's the false teaching that they were hearing.
Speaker A:And Paul's like going, nope.
Speaker A:The Holy Spirit's using Paul to say, nope.
Speaker A:It is in Jesus.
Speaker A:And in fact, the ministry of the Holy Spirit testifies to who?
Speaker A:The ministry of the Holy Spirit testifies to Jesus.
Speaker A:That's the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:The Holy Spirit is doing that for a reason.
Speaker A:And so we connect to one another at such deep levels.
Speaker A:Sometimes when I don't feel I'm as prepared for the show for you guys, I feel bad.
Speaker A:Not because I can't get through the show.
Speaker A:I've been doing this so long, I can get through any show without even thinking.
Speaker A:But if I'm not prepared, I'm not doing my job for you as your brother to love you.
Speaker A:If I'm not spending that right time, if I don't have the right things, if I got too many things distracting me, I'm not doing what I'm supposed to do.
Speaker A:And maybe the Lord, he lets you do things for a season.
Speaker A:He let me do this for a wonderful season.
Speaker A:I love what we're doing.
Speaker A:I love what we have.
Speaker A:But it's the Lord.
Speaker A:He has to have ownership.
Speaker A:And I don't want to let you down.
Speaker A:I don't want to let God down.
Speaker A:I mean, as much as I do like you guys, and I really do love so many of you, I like God more than I like you, just in case you're wondering.
Speaker A:Okay, you guys are swell.
Speaker A:You're not that swell.
Speaker A:You're not God.
Speaker A:Swell.
Speaker A:Get it?
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:So the idea behind this is that we passionately care about one another.
Speaker A:The Bible says by this we know we've passed from death to life.
Speaker A:Life because we love the brethren.
Speaker A:That's an assurance in your salvation that you have an actual love for other believers.
Speaker A:That's how he designed it.
Speaker A: what does Paul say in Romans: Speaker A:Join me in my struggle by praying for me.
Speaker A:You want to get into it and really take care of other people and really love on Other people, make them a part of your prayer life and petition the Lord on their behalf.
Speaker A:Isn't that cool?
Speaker A:That is some cool stuff.
Speaker A:Don't you think that's what we want to be doing, right?
Speaker A:Okay, now, just because my family's here and that's the bulk of the teach, I am still going to do another joke or two because you got to end the show on a joke or two.
Speaker A:Because that's just what I got to do.
Speaker A:All right, here we go.
Speaker A:Jacob's ready at the till.
Speaker A:Here we go.
Speaker A:Here's your joke number one.
Speaker A:How does Darth Vader like his toast?
Speaker A:How does Darth Vader like his toast?
Speaker A:Are you ready, Jacob?
Speaker A:I'm the dark side.
Speaker A:Okay, there you go.
Speaker A:All right, here's the next one.
Speaker A:Now, I like this one coming out because I just did this.
Speaker A:But why couldn't the gnome pay his rent?
Speaker A:Why couldn't the gnome pay his rent?
Speaker A:Gazebo's a little short.
Speaker A:You're killing me, Smalls.
Speaker A:I know.
Speaker A:All right, last one.
Speaker A:That's right, folks.
Speaker A:I get to do as many jokes as I want.
Speaker A:Here you go.
Speaker A:What do you call a hippie's wife?
Speaker A:What do you call a hippie's wife?
Speaker A:Mississippi.
Speaker A:That's a good one.
Speaker A:Oh, come on.
Speaker A:That's funny.
Speaker A:That was a good joke.
Speaker A:All right, so this year as we go into the year, I want you guys to go on the website and check out that thing I put up there.
Speaker A:It's very important.
Speaker A:It's what the Lord shared with me on December 31st.
Speaker A:I put it in a 17 and a half or 18 minute clip.
Speaker A:It will bless you, it will challenge you, it will set your year right.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:All right, cool.
Speaker A:All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KWAM 770, the true station here in Texas, taking a 22 and a half hour break.
Speaker A:Then we'll come back, More insanity with Spoonanity.
Speaker A:Talk to you then.
Speaker A:Betrayal of my soul Stop that boy don't let me go Stop that boy don't let him know But I feel like breaking out having some good times Breaking out living some life breaking.
Speaker A:The views expressed on the preceding program were those of the speakers and not necessarily those of kaam, DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.
