08-14-2026 PART 3: Gathered by the Cross and Guided by the Truth

Caiaphas spoke prophetically about Jesus even though his own heart was not aligned with Christ, demonstrating that God can use an office, position, or unexpected vessel to accomplish His purposes. The deeper part of the prophecy reveals that Jesus would not only die for the nation but also gather God’s scattered children into one. Through the cross, believers from different countries, backgrounds, and denominations find genuine unity because they share the same redemption, the same Spirit, and the same eternal family. In Christ, believers become blood relatives through a bond that reaches beyond this life.

Biblical love does not mean approving everything another person does or believes. Dr. Dave challenges the false idea that loving a neighbor requires unconditional acceptance of behavior that contradicts God’s Word. Jesus consistently showed compassion while also calling people to repentance, warning them about sin, and directing them toward truth. Genuine love is willing to speak honestly about danger, discipline, judgment, and the need for forgiveness. Refusing to warn someone about destructive choices is not kindness; it can become a serious failure to care for that person’s eternal well-being.

Scripture presents sin as a universal problem that cannot be dismissed through human philosophy or sentimental definitions of love. Jesus, John the Baptist, Peter, and Paul all began with the call to repent because salvation requires recognizing the condition from which people need to be rescued. Both outward actions and inward thoughts fall under God’s examination, and every person falls short apart from Christ. The good news of forgiveness becomes meaningful only after people understand the bad news of sin. Therefore, believers must stand with Jesus, combining genuine love with truth rather than replacing truth with false acceptance.
