Picking up in Genesis 24, Dr. Dave examines the hospitality shown by Laban as he welcomes Abraham’s servant into the household after meeting Rebekah. Before anything else, attention is given to the care provided for the camels and animals that accompanied the servant on the journey. This becomes an opportunity to highlight the biblical principle that God cares about His creation and expects people to treat animals with compassion and kindness.
