The David Spoon Experience Part 2 9-16-21
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Let us recognize what the Word of God teaches us: In Peter’s second sermon, he declares that the people did what they did to Jesus because of ignorance. To this, Jesus testified, “Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.” But that does not mean universal salvation. Instead, it means that God understands our ignorance and will allow us to turn.
2) Foretold. Prophecy has two elements; to share the mind of God for the moment and to foretell the future. In this case, we get both. Jesus had to suffer. And that is what the prophets foretold (check out Isaiah 53, Psalm 22 [Jere., Dan., Zach.] for example). And His suffering fulfilled the payments for our sins. Of course, we can reject that testimony. But we own the consequences for our choices.
3) Repent, be converted, sins blotted out, times of refreshing. It all sounds like initial conversion, except for the repent, be converted, have our sins blotted out, and enjoy the times of refreshing part. But, of course, it all comes to the culmination with The Presence of the Lord. After all, that is what Heaven is all about. How about having a little bit of Heaven here on earth, right now?
