The David Spoon Experience Part 2 8-08-2022
1) Our God is SO amazing. In the days of the Israelites, as they were journeying through the wilderness, God promised that He would bring them into the Promised Land. This land would provide for their needs to be sustained. These provisions were already going to be in place for them. This is referenced in Deuteronomy 6:10-12. This promise was fulfilled in Joshua 24. But it is referenced again here in Nehemiah. This is how the Lord prepares the territory for us BEFORE we get there. 2) As we close out the study in Nehemiah and get ready for Job, we see four statements involving kingdom building and recovery: (1) All outstanding men, (2) all outstanding “associates,” (3) They opening their services to the Lord with prayer (not a twenty-second prayer), and (4) They were under royal orders which determined their daily activities. 3) God was the one who brought great joy to the people. Therefore, God is the source of all joy. Joy exists in Him. In His presence is the fullness of joy. And that joy is our strength. God brings things into our lives that cause joy. That happens because these things “come from God.” This os hwo Nehemaih closes. God reminds us where the joy comes from. Him.
