The David Spoon Experience Part 2 6-28-2022
This 60-minutes is all about: 1) We are what we wear. After all, the outside mirrors the inside. O.K, what does that say about undershirts and socks? Not much. We are what we eat. That is true to a degree. But I don’t think anybody is actually a popsicle or a salad. You are what you think. That’s truer, to a much larger degree than you are what you eat since the brain produces over 80 percent of the body’s responses. But they all fall short of this absolute truth. This principle connects what we wear, what we eat, and what we think; We are what we worship more than anything else. 2) He can do it, but will he do it? I’m going to answer that question with another question. And when your school teacher or your parents said that you should answer a question with a question, they were wrong. Jesus used this tactic all the time. So here is the response question: He can do it, but will He do it? Do we underestimate our God? 3) We often make a reference to the sermon on the mount when Jesus talked about building a house upon sand or building a house upon a rock. This is the difference between the doers and the hearers. So, what’s the big deal? One way or another, the storms, the streams, the high waters are coming. How we engage determines their impact.
