Which is an excellent way of saying it’s my way or the highway. No Bible-believing Christian could effectively say this. Jesus said it. But He could say it because He is the ONLY way, truth, and life. But no one else could respectively pull this off. The disciples tried to do it. But Jesus shut them down. 2) Our hope is in Jesus. Our deliverance is in Jesus. Our command is in Jesus. And that command is to join in other people’s lives. To join in other people’s causes. To join in other people’s lives. And to help. Joining but doing nothing is still doing nothing. 3) When we sin…is the prayer of Solomon. Not “if” we sin, but when we sin. As Christians, we don’t have to sin. But if we do sin, we have an advocate, a defense attorney, in Jesus Christ. But the model that Solomon established is as valid today as it was back in the time of the kings of Israel. In reality, this method is the mirror that speaks to The Prodigal Son. What happened to the son when he made the decision to come home again? That’s what needs to happen with us.
