The David Spoon Experience Part 2 3-7-22
Funday Monday! Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Somehow, in the Christian journey, a paradigm was created. A paradigm is viewing or looking at something, animate or inanimate. When the Bible teaches us to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7), it is not saying to deny what is being seen. Instead, the Word teaches us how to add to the picture for a better understanding. This requires us to look at the situation or scenario, not pretend it doesn’t exist.
2) Fear is a killer of faith. Fear is a confidence that the bad, the evil, or the wrong will win the day. Fear is captivating. Ironically, faith is liberating. Jesus came to set the captives free from bondage. That bondage is to sin and fear. Fear keeps people’s eyes glued to the TV, The Internet, or social media. Faith keeps our focus on Jesus Christ, praying to our Heavenly Father, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, having our eyes glued to the Word of God. Only one is correct. Choose!
3) Have you ever seen a movie, a tv show, or any other form of entertainment where the character, in a thick Italian accent, says, “Forget about it?” Most of the time that is what we do. But in the wrong directions. We forget about what the Lord had done and dwell in what we think the Lord should do. But that’s backward. We should remember what the Lord has done and wait to see what He’s gonna do. Kapeesh?
