The David Spoon Experience Part 2 3-21-22

Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience. Dave shares a story about Pastor Ray being responsible for his return to radio. Celebrating 3 years at KAAM Texas radio. 1) Nepotism means the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs. God can pick winners and losers, but people don’t do so well. And when we put our family above what we request or require from others, we do not please Lord. Romans 2:11 states, “God shows no partiality.” Family is important. Physical AND spiritual. 2) The disadvantaged should not be despised. If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother. The difference in this situation is that poor people were WORKING and struggling to make ends meet. They were not sitting around twiddling their thumbs. They were TRYING. That is substantially different than government programs. 3) The nobles and the wealthy people were oppressing their fellow countrymen because of greed. They were more concerned about money than morality. That’s a big-time problem with God. People are of more excellent value than bank accounts. Money is essential as a tool. But Jesus didn’t die for our financial treasures. He died for people. --
