Great Show. But Through the Phone: Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience. This 60-minutes is all about: 1) Even after being threatened by the leaders of their community, the Apostles are able to slip in a Gospel witness within two sentences. Jesus was raised from the dead, God allowed Jesus to die for our sins, and God exhaled Jesus. He is the Savior. It wasn’t the best theological exegetical declaration. Well, by human standards anyway. 2) To GIVE two significant keys: Repentance and Forgiveness. This is not a new formula or the only formula. And let’s be honest; some formulas include other outward actions, but not in “this” declaration. That’s not the only major catch in these passages. We examine how repentance and forgiveness are GIVEN to people. Because without the gift of God giving this, there is “none” of this. God gives the repentance, so waiting to repent just before you die will not work. 3) Wowzers! The Apostles give the Gospel presentation to their religious opponents in a quick fashion. And then, they make the declaration that they are witnesses of these truths. Then they make sure that the people know that the Holy Spirit is a witness to these truths. While the theology is incredible, the practical is even better. We are in a partnership with God in the Gospel. How cool is that?
