The David Spoon Experience Part 2 2-17-22
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) What’s the best thing that can happen to the church? Growth. What’s the worst thing that can happen to the church? Growth. Why and why? Because growth means that more people are getting saved, and we are one more salvation closer to the return of Jesus. And because with growth comes human management and influence on the structural elements of gatherings. Complaining often manifests. Not every complaint regarding the church is a deficient complaint.
2) So, what was the issue with the church? There were two types of Jewish people in the faith. Remember, no Gentiles yet. There were Hebraic and Grecians Jews. The trouble was that the Grecian Jews were contributing to the cause. They were giving to the work. However, their widows were being neglected. Here’s the key: it’s not that there are problems. It’s all about HOW we handle the issues.
3) The Apostles made a significant point. Their task was to oversee the church, but certain affairs could be and should be handled by others. Their commitment was diving deeper into the Scriptures and prayer. Here is a glimpse of early church forms of church government. It is a collaboration between the people and the leaders. Anything else is contrary to God. It’s all about continual partnerships.
