The David Spoon Experience Part 2 11-22-21
Welcome to the 90-minute show of The David Spoon Experience.
This 60-minutes is all about:
1) Nehemiah arrives in Jerusalem thirteen years after the close of the book of Ezra. His ministry starts from one of the more unremarkable places. It comes from a visit from a relative. A person would usually prefer to have a sign from the heavens. That’s how ministry should launch. But it can come from a simple visit from friends and family and just hearing something that moves our hearts.
2) Nehemiah did something that is now considered a lost art. He listened. He was present when his relative shared with him. He didn’t pretend to hear. He inquired (How are you doing?), and when a response came, he listened (he didn’t appease to look awesome). When (not if) you ask people how they are, do your best to listen to what they say. They are entrusting you. So is God.
3) The wall was down, and the gates were burned. I don’t care about your political affiliation unless your politics conflict with the Scriptures. Here is the reality. In Heaven, there is a wall. Get over it. The is a gulf between Heaven and hell. And Proverbs 25:28 states A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. It’s not a compliment. Get it?
