The David Spoon Experience 9-9-22 Part 2
A tribute to 9-11 at the end of the show: 1) Frequently, we find ourselves in a place where when we believe we need to respond to a situation, a comment, a question, or other things and people. But following Jesus’ example, we can quickly see that God does not require our “reaction.” If asked about our faith or joy, we need to be ready to share Who lives in us and why we have such happiness or confidence. But when people are trying to get a response from us, we need to be more sensitive to the Lord. Responses are not required. 2) The old song goes, “You can’t beat God giving…no matter how…how hard you try.” So here is a brilliant key to living in great anticipation. The Lord knows how much you have given up and sacrificed to walk your journey in a manner that pleases Him. You and I have surrendered nothing that God has not seen. And the kicker is that you and I will never owe God anything because He ALWAYS outgives His people. That is true in this land and in the eternal one to come. 3) Sin. It is missing the mark. It is anything that is contrary to God. Anything. It is sin. The penalty for sin is death. Any sin. All sin. Every sin. Little or big. Only through Jesus is forgiveness, truth, love, grace, mercy, and kindness. Everything before the cross points towards Jesus, and everything after the cross points back to Jesus. Size doesn’t matter.
