The David Spoon Experience 8-23-22 Part 2
1) I once was super small. The size of a baby. That’s because I was a baby. And perhaps, in some things, I still am a baby. The Apostle Paul references this in the famous Bible chapter about love. It would likely be a better verse to share at weddings than the ones we typically hear. Paul wrote, When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. One way to put away childish things and thinking is to eliminate the idea that there are things in our life that are too small or too baby-sized for God to care about. That thinking is childish. 2) He who dies with the most toys wins. Wins what? That person wins the biggest fool award because they can’t take it with them. How about this one: But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. Nothing in and nothing out. Your birthday suit is the same when you enter and when you exit. Only treasures in Heaven will matter.3) Christian Vitamins are essential. No, not some multi-level marketing scam. Pulllease. The first type of vitamin that a Christian needs to take is B1. Be a Christian. Be one. And the following vitamin Christian needs to take is the THX. Take this twice a day, at a minimum—at the beginning and end of the day. And then we will grow up to be healthy, spiritually wealthy, and wise.
