The David Spoon Experience 4-12-24 part 2
1) Friday signifies the time for Dr. Dave’s Devotional Diamonds of the Day. We have a lineup of classics for you. The show’s direction on Fridays often seems to be guided by the wind, a tradition we hope continues. Our first Devotional Diamond, “Pick It Up,” prompts us to consider what we should grasp in all our circumstances. When we confront the enemy’s flames, what should we pick up? We start to comprehend that faith is not only pleasing to God but also a powerful tool for victorious living.
2) What complements faith? The answer is the power of prayer. Many of us, myself included, often find ourselves distracted by the circumstances we’re focused on. Scripture doesn’t limit us to praying only at the beginning, middle, or end. Instead, Scripture emphasizes that we should pray throughout all phases. We explored three characteristics that should accompany our prayers, as outlined in the Book of Ephesians.
3) Roslyn calls in to share some prayer needs and also discusses an experience that Robert had with demonic powers in their home. David extensively discusses spiritual warfare, practical ways to handle what’s happening in their home, protective prayer, and standing in truth, which is the power against the father of lies. We must always remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. As we submit to the Lord and resist the enemy, he is compelled to flee.
4) We concluded this week’s shows with a comprehensive review of death. While it may not seem like a pleasant topic, for non-Christians, it can be intimidating because the next step is significant and potentially unpleasant. However, for Christians, understanding death means recognizing that it opens a door into a land we’ve been yearning to enter. Unlike the world, which fears death, true Christian faith believers understand that it brings us one step closer to our King, our Savior, and our Lord. Hallelujah.
