The David Spoon Experience 3-6-24 part 2
1) First up, Roslyn calls in giving us an update on our PETRA interview with Bob Hartman, that's coming up tomorrow. And she also shares with the audience how the whole interview came about. Totally awesome stuff. Then, Dave teaches on glasses.
2) Dave says, "I don't often share this, but the truth is, as I reached the age of 50, my vision started to blur. I hadn't eaten enough carrots, which was a bummer. Consequently, I needed glasses, specifically reading glasses, to clearly see the letters in the Bible. It became apparent that these glasses provided me with greater clarity and the ability to grasp things in my mind because my eyes were focused." This is what we need for our Christian walk.
3) The real question might be, why do we need to see everything through faith and not through our own sight? What is the reasoning behind that? Some of us with type A personalities might not like what I'm about to say. But the reality check is that when we stop seeing with faith, we take over. We no longer leave room for the Lord to perform miracles until we've exhausted all our energy and strength based on what we see and what we think is best.
