David Spoon:

Hello, everybody.

David Spoon:

When it's cold outside, I've got my mother.

David Spoon:

Here's what's coming up on today's experience.

David Spoon:

It's Dr.

David Spoon:

Dave's devotional Diamonds of the Day, also known as DD DDDD's, where my daily devotions become some of our spiritual reflections.

David Spoon:

Sound effects placed throughout the show, which have nothing to do with life.

David Spoon:

But the Bible teaches there's a time to laugh, and some of you need a good laugh.

David Spoon:

The review of the goofy news which proves Jesus is coming back sooner than you think.

David Spoon:

Yay.

David Spoon:

Please, Lord Jesus, before this is over.

David Spoon:

Life lessons for our faith that we could actually use, probably won't if we sit on our blessed assurance.

David Spoon:

Humor that will force you to think, why does this guy have a radio show?

David Spoon:

Why does this guy have a radio show?

David Spoon:

I'll tell you why.

David Spoon:

Let me tell you the real reason why.

David Spoon:

Ready?

David Spoon:

You get what you pay for.

David Spoon:

There it is right there.

David Spoon:

Also, Bible trivia for fake and yet somehow real cool prizes, your phone calls and more.

Speaker C:

Living this life, not always easy running in this.

David Spoon:

Welcome to the David Spoon Experience, local, national and heavenly talk.

David Spoon:

My name is Dr.

David Spoon:

David Spoon.

David Spoon:

I'll be your host for the next 5,400,000 milliseconds.

David Spoon:

Get ready for one of the more bizarre experiences on live radio.

David Spoon:

Here's the key to the show.

David Spoon:

We don't know what we're doing.

David Spoon:

We have no idea what's going to happen, and we don't care.

David Spoon:

But for the next few minutes, I want to talk Jesus with you.

David Spoon:

So here we go.

David Spoon:

We're asking questions about living life as a Christian.

David Spoon:

This is a really interesting question, and I'm just curious how people will respond.

David Spoon:

What is your favorite online site for Bible stuff?

David Spoon:

What is your favorite online site for Bible stuff?

David Spoon:

How's that for a question for Bible stuff?

David Spoon:

One of my favorites, Bible Hub.

David Spoon:

I really like Bible Hub.

David Spoon:

But just curious, what are your favorite online sites for Bible stuff?

David Spoon:

If you have an answer to that, an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question, please don't let it die of loneliness.

David Spoon:

Just reach out and give us a call.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Talking to Jam and Jacob is like a peaceful day and evening.

David Spoon:

Something I have not had for about four and a half days with no drama.

Speaker C:

Thank you, David.

Speaker C:

Happy Friday.

David Spoon:

Happy Friday to you, my friend.

David Spoon:

How are things going for you today?

Speaker C:

Things are going good so far today.

Speaker C:

How's your Friday going?

David Spoon:

Friday is going very, very well.

David Spoon:

I do know that we are going to be doing Jake's take.

David Spoon:

Plus next week our very own Jam and Jacob going to be running things for a little while as our very own amazing Jen takes a little bit of time off.

David Spoon:

So the pressure's on.

David Spoon:

We'll be praying for Jam and Jacob the entire time.

David Spoon:

And also you should just be praying for J, Don and Jennifer and Jacob regardless because there's not a lot of ministry that goes on without these people.

David Spoon:

So let's keep that in mind.

David Spoon:

I do want to double check and see.

David Spoon:

Do you have any plans for this weekend?

David Spoon:

Anything going on special?

Speaker C:

No, no big plans this weekend.

Speaker C:

Just relaxing for a couple days.

Speaker C:

And yeah, like you said, Jennifer will be gone Monday, Tuesday, so I'll be here at the station.

Speaker C:

And then Wednesday, New Year's Day will be closed.

David Spoon:

That's right.

David Spoon:

Remember that schedule change next week.

David Spoon:

On Wednesday we got a really good show.

David Spoon:

It's a really good show anyway.

David Spoon:

A really good shoe.

David Spoon:

Anyhow, we have that going on on Wednesday.

David Spoon:

We're looking forward to that.

David Spoon:

We do want you to be aware that if you want to reach out to us, there is this different levels of communication that you can exist in.

David Spoon:

So I did ask you this question.

David Spoon:

Favorite online site for Bible stuff.

David Spoon:

I'm just telling you my one of mine I like got quite.

David Spoon:

I like Bible Hub.

David Spoon:

I like Blue Bible.

David Spoon:

I have a logos program.

David Spoon:

I have a lot of them.

David Spoon:

But there's a lot of cool ones that people don't know about.

David Spoon:

And you are welcome to share them either by phone or by text or by email.

David Spoon:

Let's make sure you know how to do that.

David Spoon:

The phone is that thing that you use to dial numbers.

David Spoon:

That's right.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

But we also tell people you are allowed to text during the show.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Additionally, you can send an email.

David Spoon:

David, that's my name.

David Spoon:

That's what they named me at birth.

David Spoon:

D A V I D at a with a circle around it.

David Spoon:

He must increase from John 3:30.

David Spoon:

He must increase, I must decrease.

David Spoon:

Cause we're a nonprofit corporation.

David Spoon:

So you can call us, you can text us, or you can email us.

David Spoon:

And you might be thinking, why?

David Spoon:

Why, why, why, why, why, why?

David Spoon:

And there's a couple of reasons why.

David Spoon:

Number one, it can be for a praise report.

David Spoon:

You just want to share something the Lord's doing in your life.

David Spoon:

Awesome.

David Spoon:

It could be even for something along the lines of prayer requests where we have the opportunity to join one another and love one another and encourage one another.

David Spoon:

We stand there with each other, we laugh with each other, we cry with each other.

David Spoon:

Just the way the Lord designed it for us to be a family, because we have one heavenly Father, we are blood relatives, and we drink of one holy Spirit.

David Spoon:

And we are told to keep the unity, not find it.

David Spoon:

And so the idea behind that is that we can pray together.

David Spoon:

Maybe there's a scripture the Lord's put on your heart.

David Spoon:

Maybe he's given you something that's really blessed you and you just wanna share it.

David Spoon:

Awesome.

David Spoon:

You know, our goal here, a little different than some shows.

David Spoon:

We're really more about encouraging one another to draw closer to the Lord.

David Spoon:

And we're really about encouraging one another.

David Spoon:

Getting through trials, getting through different elements, overcoming.

David Spoon:

We love what Roger again said.

David Spoon:

We're gonna be overcoming until we break through.

David Spoon:

That's what we're going to be doing.

David Spoon:

And so we want to really have that mindset, blessing each other, strengthening each other.

David Spoon:

Not that you can't bring up stuff in politics or other things like that, but their goal for this hour and a half is a little bit more of the Lord.

David Spoon:

Because you can tell me all the brilliant things you've got in your life.

David Spoon:

And I can tell you this without a doubt, more of God is the answer to every question, question and every need in every situation ever more of him.

David Spoon:

So the real element there is you can call, you can text, you can email, it can be for prayer requests, it can be for praise reports, it can be just sharing a scripture.

David Spoon:

It can even be, if you want to answer that question, what kind of online site stuff you think is really cool?

David Spoon:

We're open to that.

David Spoon:

We think it's cool.

David Spoon:

There's a lot of great stuff out there.

David Spoon:

Some free commentary sites, there's from on Bible Hub, they have a free Greek element.

David Spoon:

You can look in there.

David Spoon:

They have a whole bunch of different elements, interlinear books that give you that opportunity.

David Spoon:

You have that freedom.

David Spoon:

So now I'm not sure what's going on with Jacob.

David Spoon:

So I'm going to double choke.

David Spoon:

Do we have somebody on the phone?

David Spoon:

They want to come through?

David Spoon:

Let's go ahead and send this person through.

David Spoon:

Knock Knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Joy Ann:

Hi, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

This is Joy Ann.

Joy Ann:

How are you?

David Spoon:

How are you doing, Joy Ann?

Joy Ann:

I am so very blessed.

Joy Ann:

And what a beautiful day in Dallas, huh?

David Spoon:

Yes, absolutely stunning.

David Spoon:

Especially compared to yesterday when I did feel four or five different times that I thought I heard Noah say, get out of the way.

David Spoon:

Anyway, yes.

Joy Ann:

And I prayed for your safety driving home and all that wet.

David Spoon:

I appreciate.

Joy Ann:

Thank you, Lord, for Dr.

Joy Ann:

David's safety.

David Spoon:

Yeah.

Joy Ann:

So I would love to answer what you just asked about Bible apps and programs.

David Spoon:

Yes, absolutely.

David Spoon:

Feel free.

David Spoon:

Come share away.

David Spoon:

Absolutely.

Joy Ann:

Okay.

Joy Ann:

And first, let me start out by saying a beautiful verse from Isaiah 48 is, the grass withers, the flowers hit, stayed, but the word of our God remains forever.

Joy Ann:

And Dr.

Joy Ann:

Criswell of First Baptist Church used to say that verse all the time in his sermons, and it is so true.

Joy Ann:

It just lasts forever.

Joy Ann:

But I'm.

Joy Ann:

I.

Joy Ann:

I have a favorite Bible app that I've used for many years, and it's the Daily Audio bible, or daily.

Joy Ann:

Dailyaudiobible.com and it's done live, daily readings by a beautiful family in Tennessee.

Joy Ann:

And they are so faithful.

Joy Ann:

They've been doing it for 18 years.

Joy Ann:

They have.

Joy Ann:

They do different versions each week, you know, like, be it NASB or NIV or New Living Translation.

Joy Ann:

So they mix it up.

Joy Ann:

And so the.

Joy Ann:

The dad, he's like a pastor.

Joy Ann:

He does the Daily Audio Bible, regular Bible.

Joy Ann:

His wife does chronological.

Joy Ann:

Their little son Ezekiel does the children's version.

Joy Ann:

It's just delightful.

Joy Ann:

I recommend it.

Joy Ann:

It's free.

David Spoon:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

It's daily.

David Spoon:

Daily audio bible.com, right?

David Spoon:

Daily audio.

Joy Ann:

Beautiful app.

Joy Ann:

Yes.

Joy Ann:

And it.

Joy Ann:

And it has prayer.

Joy Ann:

People can call in their prayer requests.

Joy Ann:

I've done that a number of times, and it's heard around the world, so it's very unique in that regard.

Joy Ann:

But I.

Joy Ann:

I do want to add Dwell, D W E L L is another favorite resource.

Joy Ann:

And what I love about Dwell is I can choose the voice of the person, be it a man or woman, reading the Bible.

Joy Ann:

I can choose the version.

Joy Ann:

I can choose the background music.

David Spoon:

Wow.

Joy Ann:

Yeah.

Joy Ann:

It's so soothing.

Joy Ann:

And then they have daily inspiration, different people giving commentaries.

Joy Ann:

There are all kinds of things.

Joy Ann:

It does cost about $30 a year, and it's worth every penny.

Joy Ann:

So.

Joy Ann:

D W E L L Dwell.

Joy Ann:

So.

Joy Ann:

And then can I just give a quick praise for Paul?

David Spoon:

You certainly may.

Joy Ann:

Okay.

Joy Ann:

Okay.

Joy Ann:

So.

Joy Ann:

Because I know this is usually Sergio time, he calls in with his great question Friday morning.

Joy Ann:

Friday afternoon.

Joy Ann:

But, yeah, I've had so much favor in my life with the Lord providing for resources.

Joy Ann:

This morning I went to my dentist and he inserted a new partial.

Joy Ann:

He didn't even charge me.

Joy Ann:

The only thing he charged was the processing fee, the lab fee.

Joy Ann:

And those things are expensive.

Joy Ann:

And now my smile is complete.

Joy Ann:

So I'm smiling.

Joy Ann:

Praise the Lord to the audience and to the Lord Jesus for what he's done for me.

Joy Ann:

So thank you and I'm looking forward to the rest of the show.

Joy Ann:

Thank you, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David and Noel and everybody that's inhabiting your household this week.

Joy Ann:

Enjoy and please be rewarded and blessed.

Joy Ann:

Praying for your.

Joy Ann:

Your financial to get better and better because this is such an incredible ministry.

Joy Ann:

All right, well, thanks again, Dr.

Joy Ann:

Day.

David Spoon:

You're welcome.

David Spoon:

It was a great phone call.

Joy Ann:

Love everybody there.

Joy Ann:

Okay, bye by bye Bye.

David Spoon:

All right, so it's funny because the kids actually are today.

David Spoon:

All of my.

David Spoon:

So the Julianne and Jared and Addie Bug and Isaiah Anthony and Easton Scott and Anna Banana.

David Spoon:

Her name's Anna, but I just call her Anna Banana.

David Spoon:

They are all en route and probably have arrived already at my other son's house.

David Spoon:

They're gonna spend a couple of days over there and then they're gonna come back to our house, but they're gonna spend two or three days over there with Josh and Ashley and Carter Bear, Stella and Cash.

David Spoon:

So they're all gonna be hanging out family together.

David Spoon:

And I told them, I said, if you start talking about your dad and it's not good stuff, just remember God's listening.

David Spoon:

That's how you do that.

David Spoon:

See, this is how you coordinate the Jewish part and the Christian part together.

David Spoon:

You pre manipulate anyhow, so that's good.

David Spoon:

And I'm very, very happy for them.

David Spoon:

I think they're gonna have an amazing time together.

David Spoon:

And so it's been really been blessing.

David Spoon:

We had a chance to talk a little deeper.

David Spoon:

We played a little game, a couple of games yesterday and got into a little bit of more discussion about life.

David Spoon:

And that was really, really good.

David Spoon:

In fact, Jared and I talked and I talked to him a little bit about our approach to hope and eternal life.

David Spoon:

Being something eye has not seen, neither has ear heard, Neither has entered into the hearts of men the things which God has prepared for them.

David Spoon:

And so we were talking about that and I said, so think about this.

David Spoon:

And he's looking at me and I said, planet chocolate.

David Spoon:

And he's like, planet chocolate.

David Spoon:

I was like, right, I can think of that now.

David Spoon:

That's an awesome, awesome, awesome heaven.

David Spoon:

But my heaven because of my God is so great.

David Spoon:

Will be Better than Planet Chocolate.

David Spoon:

But I can have Planet Chocolate.

David Spoon:

Whatever I'm going to get, it's going to be even better.

David Spoon:

I mean, that's a hope.

David Spoon:

That's a real hope.

David Spoon:

Not just playing harps, reading magazines that you read in your dentist's office five or six thousand times.

David Spoon:

Get it?

David Spoon:

Okay, cool.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

So we did have a lot of fun in there.

David Spoon:

No, I do want to get into the text.

David Spoon:

We do have our text that we're doing.

David Spoon:

We are in 2 John, and we're in the closeout of 2 John.

David Spoon:

And if you remember 2 John.

David Spoon:

Pretty short book, right?

David Spoon:

Pretty short letter, pretty short in all of its elements.

David Spoon:

But he does have this very powerful thing to say, and I want you to be aware of it.

David Spoon:

And I think everybody needs to be in touch with what the Apostle John through the Holy Spirit is communicating in this one really, really strong element.

David Spoon:

It starts in verse 10.

David Spoon:

Listen to what it says.

David Spoon:

It's quite amazing.

David Spoon:

It says this, if anyone comes to you, but does not bring this teaching.

David Spoon:

And the teaching he's referring to is the teaching of the truth in Jesus Christ, the teaching of not worldly truth, but biblical truth.

David Spoon:

It's not the worldly definition of love.

David Spoon:

It's the biblical definition of love.

David Spoon:

It's not the worldly definition of what righteousness is.

David Spoon:

It's the biblical definition of what righteousness is.

David Spoon:

And so he said, if anybody comes to you and they're not bringing this kind of teaching, do not receive him into your home or even greet him.

David Spoon:

Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds.

David Spoon:

You're thinking, wow, wait a minute.

David Spoon:

That doesn't seem like anything like that.

David Spoon:

I would think he would say, let's pick it up and understand what he's trying to say or communicate to his very own spiritual offspring.

David Spoon:

We're concluding this by making sure John makes sure that his children of truth understand that if somebody comes to them teaching different from what's been taught, by that he means teaching contrary to the gospel, to the Paulinian epistles, to the general epistles.

David Spoon:

They should not be received into the home or even greeted.

David Spoon:

Now, why is it that we would say that?

David Spoon:

Does he mean that we should swear at these people?

David Spoon:

No.

David Spoon:

Does he mean that we should call them names?

David Spoon:

No.

David Spoon:

Does he mean that we should throw things at them?

David Spoon:

No.

David Spoon:

It means that we are not to give them any space when they come teaching things that aren't biblical truth.

David Spoon:

Not space in our hearts, not space in our minds, not space in our homes, and not space in our lives.

David Spoon:

Specifically.

David Spoon:

Just so you can know these people that he's identified are evil teachers who are spreading lies wherever they go against the truth of Christ.

David Spoon:

Somebody who just doesn't get it is not necessarily an evil teacher.

David Spoon:

These are people that are teaching contrary philosophies to biblical truth.

David Spoon:

And let's be absolutely aware of what John's saying.

David Spoon:

These people shouldn't even be on our radar as potential friends because of what they're doing.

David Spoon:

Anybody who's friendly with somebody who's functioning on the behalf of Satan is making a mistake.

David Spoon:

Does that mean you throw rocks at them?

David Spoon:

No.

David Spoon:

You pray for them, you hope for them.

David Spoon:

You're still an ambassador of Jesus Christ, but you don't become friends with them and let them become a part of you because you're welcoming truth.

David Spoon:

So let's just go back to why this is so essential from John's point of view.

David Spoon:

In the garden, the snake began that conversation with Eve just by saying, did God really say.

David Spoon:

And that small little invite for a conversation and a back and forth opened up a door where doubt can come screaming through and create a sense of disobedience, which then led to death.

David Spoon:

Not just spiritual death, but physical death and death of nature.

David Spoon:

And opening those doors is a dangerous element.

David Spoon:

When you open the door against or for somebody that's against the truth, you're creating problems.

David Spoon:

Here's what you do.

David Spoon:

One of the big things, you don't entertain it, you don't process it, you don't own it, you don't eat it, you don't love it, you don't connect to it.

David Spoon:

When you know that you're hearing something that's contrary to Jesus Christ, you take your stand in the truth.

David Spoon:

You're going to stand one way or another.

David Spoon:

It's either going to be in the kingdom of God or in the kingdom of any other thing.

David Spoon:

You have to take your stand.

David Spoon:

And John, he.

David Spoon:

He doesn't mix.

David Spoon:

It's not like, oh, Dave, we just finished Christmas.

David Spoon:

You should be really nice.

David Spoon:

This is what the Word teaches.

David Spoon:

If anyone comes to you, but doesn't bring this teaching the truth, don't receive him into your home or even greet him.

David Spoon:

Whoever even greets a person like this is sharing in their evil deeds.

David Spoon:

John goes on to say, I have many things to write to you, but I'd prefer not to do so with paper and ink.

David Spoon:

Instead, I hope to come and speak with you face to face so that our joy may be complete.

David Spoon:

The children of your elect sister send you greetings.

David Spoon:

That elect sister has to do with a sister church.

David Spoon:

He says something fascinating that we just talked about yesterday.

David Spoon:

He said, well, I'd rather see you face to face.

David Spoon:

He has not even seen these people face to face.

David Spoon:

A lot of ministry takes place not face to face.

David Spoon:

We just talked about that.

David Spoon:

Joanne just made a.

David Spoon:

A wonderful phone call, and she told you about a couple of different resources I share with you, man.

David Spoon:

I think Bible Hub's a great resource, especially if you want to get into the Greek and in certain elements of Greek words.

David Spoon:

I think the.

David Spoon:

Got questions.

David Spoon:

Great resource.

David Spoon:

I think Blue Bible, that's a great resource.

David Spoon:

There's tons and tons and tons of them.

David Spoon:

You'll never see any of these people face to face, but they'll still be a blessing to you.

David Spoon:

And that's just a wonderful thing.

David Spoon:

Now, it's coolest in the getting together, but it doesn't take away from the fact that the Lord uses these things to bless one another in this process.

David Spoon:

So I want you to get this.

David Spoon:

He's saying, I got many things I want to write to you, but I'd prefer not to do it with paper and ink.

David Spoon:

So I hope to see you and talk to you.

David Spoon:

John has a genuine love for these people and loves the idea of connecting with them.

David Spoon:

And there's so many more things that he wants to share, but there's only so much you can put in a book or a letter.

David Spoon:

So he wants them to know that they're a part of the fullness of his joy.

David Spoon:

And when other Christians.

David Spoon:

Oh, this is gonna be tough to hear.

David Spoon:

When other Christians are a part of your circle of joy, you're getting it.

David Spoon:

By this you shall know you have passed from death to life because you love the brethren.

David Spoon:

I hear people talking about churches a lot, and a lot of times they're more favorable to their group, but not always negative about another group.

David Spoon:

That's a good thing.

David Spoon:

But here's something we need to really pick up on.

David Spoon:

Brothers and sisters who are in different tribes are still brothers and sisters.

David Spoon:

And it's our love for them that gives us an assurance of our eternal life.

David Spoon:

Did you know that?

David Spoon:

By this you shall know that you have passed from death to life because you love the brethren.

David Spoon:

We ought to have this sense for one another.

David Spoon:

We are children of the elect.

David Spoon:

We are brothers and sisters.

David Spoon:

If you want your brother or sister to fail, there's something much deeper and darker that's a problem.

David Spoon:

The idea is to bring joy into one another's life, connecting in the truth, knowing that you're going to spend eternity with one another.

David Spoon:

See, this is the Marvelous thing of the kingdom of God he had.

David Spoon:

And if you look in Ephesians, you really get this.

David Spoon:

There was Gentile and there was Jew, right?

David Spoon:

That's my background.

David Spoon:

I'm Jewish.

David Spoon:

But in the Scripture, in Ephesians, it says, he makes of the two, one new being.

David Spoon:

Well, what is that one new being?

David Spoon:

Christian.

David Spoon:

And in that new being, we are spending eternity together.

David Spoon:

So instead of having this.

David Spoon:

And I was talking to my daughter literally last night, just 12 hours ago, maybe, well, more than that, but 15 hours ago, 16 hours ago, about how important it is for each denomination to stay true to who they are, but to make sure their arms are open to others who see things differently and function things that are different, that are not essential doctrines.

David Spoon:

I am committed.

David Spoon:

And if you listen to this show, you know what I'm talking about.

David Spoon:

To encouraging you and myself to care enough about other people that they're always a part of our prayers.

David Spoon:

There is always a part of our processes with the Lord so that our focus isn't on us, but on others, too.

David Spoon:

It's not that you never think of yourself, but it is that you are also supposed to think of others.

David Spoon:

That's what Jesus taught.

David Spoon:

He said, I have not come to be served, but to serve.

David Spoon:

And if he is the servant of the people of God, and we want to be like Jesus, we need to be the servants of the people of God.

David Spoon:

So all I'm saying to you, boy, you want to go into this next year and do it right?

David Spoon:

You want to go into 20, 25 and see the graciousness and the outpouring of the blessing and the favor of God?

David Spoon:

You want to really go into this and do this in a much more profound and much more intimate connection with God?

David Spoon:

Add other believers into your life, passions and burdens, and you will be amazed when you commit to taking care of them.

David Spoon:

God commits to taking care of you.

David Spoon:

When you love one another, God notices.

David Spoon:

And when we push past ourselves and into others, we become Christ like, isn't that beautiful?

David Spoon:

That's how God designed it.

David Spoon:

And get this, you may as well start now because you're going to do this for all eternity with these brothers and sisters, all part of the family of God.

David Spoon:

That, my friends, that is glory.

David Spoon:

You will see.

David Spoon:

That is glory.

David Spoon:

All right, we'll take a short break, then we'll come back.

David Spoon:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Speaker A:

It couldn't hurt.

What is the David Spoon Experience?

Speaker E:

You say?

Speaker E:

I'll put it to you like that.

Speaker E:

Do you love a good joke?

Speaker E:

That's pretty bad.

David Spoon:

What do you call an animal that doesn't practice what it preaches?

David Spoon:

A hippocrypotamus.

Speaker E:

Come on.

Speaker E:

Do you love being able to ask questions, comments, or having someone to pray for you?

David Spoon:

Do you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question?

David Spoon:

We don't want it to die of loneliness.

David Spoon:

We want it to have a chance.

Speaker E:

And last but not least, do you love some trivia?

David Spoon:

Alright, we got our trivia question.

David Spoon:

Who made clothes out of leaves that were sewed together?

David Spoon:

Somebody want to answer the trivia question?

David Spoon:

Okay, hold on, hold on.

David Spoon:

Here you go.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

David Spoon:

We're talking to Mary.

David Spoon:

This is Al, this is Brother Ace, this is Eric, this is Deborah.

Speaker E:

Now if that doesn't make you curious, maybe you should tune in and check it out for yourself.

David Spoon:

Think of me as the biggest big brother that won't go away.

David Spoon:

That's me.

Speaker E:

Tune in to the David Spoon experience weekdays at 1:30pm on 770 kaam.

David Spoon:

A big portion of being guided is asking prayer.

David Spoon:

When you're praying with people, fellowship amongst other people can lead you to guidance.

David Spoon:

It's happened on more than one occasion.

David Spoon:

For me, counsel is obviously very good, both spiritual and and not necessarily biblical.

David Spoon:

Also, practical counsel is good.

David Spoon:

Circumstances often speak to us and give us guidance.

David Spoon:

Open doors, or for that fact, closed doors.

David Spoon:

We know His Word gives us guidance.

David Spoon:

We know in 2 Corinthians 2, 13, 14, Paul said that he used peace of mind as an aspect of guidance.

David Spoon:

These are all the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us is, of course, the number one element for guidance is to be led by the Spirit.

David Spoon:

Right.

David Spoon:

These are all hugely important.

Speaker A:

The David Spoon experience.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.

Just ask him.
