The podcast episode featuring Dr. David Spoon is a vibrant exploration of the complexities of faith as seen through the lens of Abraham's journey in the biblical narrative. Spoon opens with a compelling introduction that sets the tone for a thought-provoking discussion, diving into Genesis chapters 12 and 13. He brings to light the intriguing story of Abraham, Pharaoh, and Sarah, discussing the implications of Abraham's partial truths and the moral dilemmas faced by believers. This exploration serves as a springboard for Spoon to address the nature of truth, deception, and the overarching theme of grace that permeates scripture.

As the episode unfolds, Spoon draws parallels between Abraham’s journey and the listener's personal spiritual walk, emphasizing that our journeys are characterized by stages. He highlights the significance of moving through life step by step, encouraging listeners to embrace their unique paths. Spoon discusses how revisiting past spiritual milestones, akin to Abraham building altars, can serve as a source of comfort and reconnection to God, especially after periods of trial. His engaging storytelling and relatable anecdotes make these themes accessible, fostering a sense of community among listeners.

Moreover, Dr. Spoon reassures listeners of God’s unwavering grace, reminding them that failures do not lead to disqualification from divine blessings. He emphasizes that God's love and generosity transcend our mistakes, encouraging individuals to reflect on their spiritual journeys with a sense of hope and expectation. Through thoughtful insights and heartfelt prayers, the episode invites listeners to deepen their relationship with God, reinforcing the idea that every step taken in faith has significance and purpose. The episode concludes with an invitation for listeners to worship and reconnect with the Lord, creating a rich tapestry of faith, reflection, and community.n Dr. David Spoon

David Spoon:

And now for something completely different.

David Spoon:

Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.

David Spoon:

It's marvelous, monumental, most fascinating, massively mind mending Monday as we join our hearts and minds as one, drawing closer to the King of Kings and glorifying his name.

David Spoon:

First, as we're winding down In Genesis chapter 12, we find out that Pharaoh almost slept with Sarah and was a bit upset with Abraham because Abraham didn't tell the full truth.

David Spoon:

Some people might justify this, of course, by pointing out that Abe and Sara or Sari, technically that was his sister since she was a half sister.

David Spoon:

However, let's be honest, this was a pretty deceptive plan on Abraham's part.

David Spoon:

But God used the whole process to bless him, but it was still a little bit underhanded.

David Spoon:

Let's just be straightforward on it.

David Spoon:

But here's a gem within the scripture, verse two of chapter 13 as we're going to get to shows Abraham and them traveling by stages to Bethel.

David Spoon:

Don't overlook these little verses.

David Spoon:

They reveal so much about our Christian journey.

David Spoon:

Do you know that we journey in our Christianity in stages?

David Spoon:

Did you know that?

David Spoon:

Step by step, element by element, piece by piece, place by place, stage by stage.

David Spoon:

That's a great way to define the Christian walk.

David Spoon:

And finally, in verse three and four of chapter 13, we're going to learn that the land between Bethel and AI where they camped before was somewhat familiar territory for Abraham and that likely brought them comfort.

David Spoon:

But it's also a place where Abraham built an altar and he worshiped God there.

David Spoon:

It's not unusual to revisit a spiritual significant place to reconnect to the Lord, especially after the experiences that they just had in Egypt.

David Spoon:

God could have called Abraham out on his foolishness, but instead Abraham called out to God and God responded by staying very close.

Yes.

It's just radio.

David Spoon:

We're just fellowshipping together.

David Spoon:

But here we go.

David Spoon:

Right, let's keep it simple.

Whoever that person in must be just somebody that God really loves.

David Spoon:

That's all I'm gonna say.

Speaker D:

I don't.

Speaker D:

It might be someone that's part of the show right now.

Speaker D:

I'm not sure.

Wow.

David Spoon:

Free chocolate.

That's all I'm going to say.

David Spoon:

Here it is, folks.

David Spoon:

Listen, why would you reach out to us?

David Spoon:

Why would you email?

David Spoon:

Why would you call?

David Spoon:

Why would you text?

David Spoon:

Why would you.

David Spoon:

Oh, it's a couple of different reasons.

David Spoon:

One, it can be for the purpose.

Speaker C:

Of sharing something the Lord's doing in your life.

David Spoon:

Maybe you've got something you want to share, just something on your heart.

David Spoon:

There's something you've noticed or something you're growing in.

Speaker C:

You just think this is really a cool thing.

David Spoon:

Maybe you've got something in your heart and mind.

David Spoon:

It's just this Prayer thing, Dave, and I'm doing really well at it.

David Spoon:

Or it's this prayer thing, Dave, and I'm not doing very well on it.

David Spoon:

Either way.

David Spoon:

Supposed to always be in prayer.

David Spoon:

It's all good, right?

Speaker C:

Right.

Speaker C:

Always rejoice, always constantly be in prayer.

Speaker C:

Give thanks in everything.

Speaker C:

First, Thessalonians 5, 16, 17, and 18.

David Spoon:

And maybe you want to pray.

David Spoon:

We'll pray.

David Spoon:

Let's pray.

David Spoon:

Let's bring it before the Lord.

David Spoon:

Maybe you've just got this praise report because the Lord did this miracle for.

Speaker C:

You, this mini miracle, and it's so fascinating.

David Spoon:

It's really blessed you.

David Spoon:

You're not sure anybody else will get it.

David Spoon:

That's the exact kind of thing.

David Spoon:

I like people sharing just exactly what Sergio shared last week, how he said this.

Speaker C:

It's just like the Lord was with.

David Spoon:

Me in that process.

David Spoon:

Exactly.

David Spoon:

If we can move to a place where it's not just the splitting of the Red Sea, but sometimes it's just the soft, gentle voice of the Lord.

Speaker C:

In the middle of the night, we would really, really grow in him.

David Spoon:

And so if you want to share that, awesome.

David Spoon:

If you got a prayer request.

David Spoon:

Got it.

David Spoon:

You want to share anything, great.

David Spoon:

Maybe you got an answer to Bible trivia.

David Spoon:

I don't know.

David Spoon:

Can you answer this Bible trivia question?

David Spoon:

I don't know.

David Spoon:

Proverbs 1:7 tells us what is the beginning of knowledge?

David Spoon:

Something of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

David Spoon:

What is that?

David Spoon:

Something of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

Speaker C:

What is that?

Speaker C:

What do we need to get a little smarter?

David Spoon:

Proverbs 1:7.

David Spoon:

If you think you know, reach out to us.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

Or you can send an email, david@he must increase.org.

David Spoon:

okay, there you go.

Speaker C:

All right.

David Spoon:

Simple as can be.

David Spoon:

Simple as can be.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

So the question I want you to go, this is what I'm telling everybody.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

I want you to look at Proverbs Chapter one.

David Spoon:

I'm going to go to Proverbs Chapter one, because I just know that whenever I get a bunch of answers in and they're going in five different directions, it makes me think, you need to look at verse seven.

David Spoon:

There are actually more than one technical answer to this question, which is why I need you to look at verse seven.

David Spoon:

Get it?

David Spoon:

Proverbs 1:7.

David Spoon:

Get it?

David Spoon:

Very, very important.

David Spoon:

Something of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

David Spoon:

What is that?

David Spoon:

According to Proverbs 1:7, if you think you know, you can reach out to us.

David Spoon:

Couple things to tell you real quickly.

David Spoon:

Number one, do not forget our modified schedule.

David Spoon:

Modified schedule.

David Spoon:

So we won't be in the studio tomorrow or on Wednesday.

David Spoon:

That is on the website, by the way, in case you're wondering.

David Spoon:

We are replaying what is literally.

David Spoon:

It's hard to pick out of all the shows, but we are replaying what I consider to be two of the top ten shows of all time.

David Spoon:

So if you're not consumed and you have the time and you want to listen, listen.

David Spoon:

You don't have to listen.

David Spoon:

You never have to listen.

David Spoon:

But if it can be a blessing for you, I encourage you to take a few moments and see if it will.

David Spoon:

Additionally, we are going to be praying for faith families and family encounters and for people who are really feeling lonely.

David Spoon:

There's a lot of people who are hurting.

David Spoon:

I was talking to somebody today driving in, and they have somebody that they came across at church the other day, and they're just really, really hurting.

David Spoon:

Their child's no longer with them.

David Spoon:

And it's just one of those things.

David Spoon:

And it's like, we want to pray because that can be very hard on people.

David Spoon:

So we will be doing that.

David Spoon:

But first we're going to take care of our trivia question.

David Spoon:

According to the book of Proverbs, something of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

David Spoon:

What is that?

David Spoon:

We have somebody on that phone ready to answer.

David Spoon:

Let's go ahead and send them through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Fred:

Hi, David.

Fred:

Merry Christmas.

Fred:

This is Fred.

David Spoon:

Hello, Fred.

David Spoon:

How are you, my brother?

Fred:

I'm doing fine, sir.

David Spoon:

Just want you to know you're a blessing.

David Spoon:

No matter what the enemy throws at you, brother, you are a blessing.

David Spoon:

And you stand strong in that declaration.

David Spoon:

You hear me?

Fred:

I received it in Jesus name.

David Spoon:

There you go, brother.

David Spoon:

I know, I know.

David Spoon:

All right, my friend, let me set it up for you.

David Spoon:

We're doing this according to Proverbs 17.

David Spoon:

And the reason I bring that up is because there can be some other answers in this.

David Spoon:

But that's why I wanted to use that passage.

David Spoon:

According to Proverbs 17, what of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge?

Fred:

David, there are two types of.

Fred:

One is found in Hebrews:

Fred:

And then Psalm 7, verse 67 say, God is to be feared.

Fred:

And who can stand in his presence once he is angry?

Fred:

But the fear that.

Fred:

The fear mentioned here is a respect for God and who he is and what he can do.

Fred:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of understanding.

David Spoon:

That is correct and well said.

David Spoon:

So the fear of the Lord in this context has to do with the respect, the awe, the overwhelming deep appreciation, the profoundness of it all.

David Spoon:

That is the fear of the Lord.

David Spoon:

And the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

David Spoon:

And that is the place to start.

David Spoon:

Excellent job, brother.

David Spoon:

Excellent, excellent work.

David Spoon:

Excellent work, my brother.

David Spoon:

And I hope you have a phenomenal Christmas time.

Fred:

Well, Dr.

Fred:

Spoon, same tea and double.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

God bless you, brother.

Fred:

God bless you.

David Spoon:

Bye, bye, bye.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

Excellent job by Fred.

David Spoon:

Phenomenal.

David Spoon:

Phenomenal.

David Spoon:

Phenomenal.

David Spoon:

Okay, what I do want to do is go into prayer, okay?

David Spoon:

And I want to pray for the families and the people that are lonely.

David Spoon:

And I just want you to join me.

David Spoon:

You don't have to be.

David Spoon:

I'm not really good at praying.

David Spoon:

Do you got like 20 cents of faith?

David Spoon:

And if I got like $1.50 and then we get some people that got $30 and $10 and $5 and 5 cents and all that, we put it all together, it'd be a lot of faith.

David Spoon:

Let's.

David Spoon:

That's why you have accumulated faith.

David Spoon:

That's the idea.

David Spoon:

Let's pray.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before youe right now.

David Spoon:

And Lord, first and foremost, I do want to lift up the lonely, the people that are going to be hurting, the people that are going to go through not just this holiday, but with New Year's as well.

David Spoon:

Just different times, different things, Lord, where loss seems to exaggerate and magnify in the emotional realm.

David Spoon:

And so we are praying for those people that have suffered, suffered a serious loss.

David Spoon:

And we are asking you, because only.

Speaker C:

You can do that.

Speaker C:

Nobody else can do this, Lord.

Speaker C:

Only you can do this.

Speaker C:

That you would put your arms around them, so to speak, and be the God of comfort that you tell us you are in your word.

Speaker C:

That you would help them with some of the anxiety and despair.

David Spoon:

And in place of that despair and.

Speaker C:

The unsureness and the frustration and maybe even some anger that, Lord God, you would bring to them the healing balm of Gilead and pour peace into their minds and hearts that they might still recognize you're in charge and they can have confidence in you.

Speaker C:

Now, Lord, many other people, they're going.

David Spoon:

To go to the holidays.

Speaker C:

I'm one of them, Lord, we're going.

David Spoon:

To have family over.

Speaker C:

I'm sure there's going to be nothing but perfect words said the entire Time for at least 20 seconds, Lord.

Speaker C:

And then there'll be some stupid things that we all say.

Speaker C:

Lord, help us to have wisdom dealing with family.

Speaker C:

Help us to speak with love, speak with grace, seasoned with the salt of grace and kindness.

Speaker C:

Help us to do our best to reflect you, Jesus, not to win an argument, but to love people the way that you intend us to.

Speaker C:

Lord, help us to do a good job of reflecting you in our connections with others.

David Spoon:

We pray that.

David Spoon:

We pray for the hurting.

David Spoon:

We pray for each and every one.

Speaker C:

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Speaker C:

Amen and Amen.

David Spoon:

Okay, we wanted to do that.

David Spoon:

That was pretty important.

David Spoon:

I think I was deep on my heart.

David Spoon:

So I always go with those kind of things and let them kind of take the.

David Spoon:

What's the kind of.

David Spoon:

Take the reins, if that's a good way to say that.

David Spoon:

All right, I do want to go back to this thing.

David Spoon:

This is really quite superbly fascina.

David Spoon:

I mentioned it last week.

David Spoon:

I talked about it real quickly.

David Spoon:

And I want to be careful.

David Spoon:

I don't want to justify something is wrong because we do things that are wrong.

David Spoon:

And you don't justify it.

David Spoon:

You know what you do?

David Spoon:

You own it.

David Spoon:

If you do something wrong before the Lord, don't justify it.

David Spoon:

What Job did.

David Spoon:

The sin that Job committed.

David Spoon:

And we've talked about this multiple times.

David Spoon:

But the biggest sin fleshing out in that scripture, when you get into chapters 32 and 33, is job justified himself instead of justifying God.

David Spoon:

Okay, that's bad for us to do.

David Spoon:

I know we struggle with it, but we cannot afford to walk in that idea, that approach.

David Spoon:

When God confronted Job on this, Job said, I put my hand over my mouth.

Speaker C:

I'm never going to say that again.

David Spoon:

Whoops.

David Spoon:

Because God is always right and we are not.

David Spoon:

Even if we don't understand it all.

David Spoon:

In this circumstance with Abraham, Pharaoh.

David Spoon:

And I'm going to pick it up.

David Spoon:

Basically, I think it's verse 18, where Pharaoh gets pretty irritated at Abraham.

David Spoon:

But then God will use this to help him, Abraham, which is amazing.

David Spoon:

So here it is in verse seven, it says, the Lord sent a terrible plague on Pharaoh's household because of Sarah or Sarai, Abram's wife.

David Spoon:

So Pharaoh called for Abram and accused him sharply, what is this you have done to me?

David Spoon:

He demanded, why didn't you tell me she was your wife?

David Spoon:

Why were you willing to let me marry her, saying she was your sister?

David Spoon:

Here is your wife.

David Spoon:

Take her and be gone.

David Spoon:

Then Pharaoh then sent them out of the country under armed escort.

David Spoon:

Abraham and his wife with all their household and all their belongings.

David Spoon:

It wasn't that.

David Spoon:

Abraham approached it brilliantly.

David Spoon:

And there's people that argue that theologically and it's just absurd.

David Spoon:

It's ridiculous.

David Spoon:

But what it does show you is even when we do stupid things, the Lord doesn't go, oh, you did something stupid there.

David Spoon:

So I'm not gonna bless you in any capacity.

David Spoon:

That's a problem that people have.

David Spoon:

That is a problem that people have.

David Spoon:

They think I've done something wrong.

David Spoon:

God's never gonna bless me because I did something wrong.

Speaker C:

You're incorrect.

David Spoon:

God's generosity so outpaces our failures, you cannot even put them on the same plane when you do something wrong.

David Spoon:

That doesn't mean, oh, well, now God's going to take.

David Spoon:

He's going to hit me in the head with a stick.

David Spoon:

No, he's not.

David Spoon:

That's not how it goes.

David Spoon:

If you got hit in the head by God every time you did something wrong, you would have a dented head.

Speaker C:

Even when we do dumb things, the.

David Spoon:

Graciousness, the goodness, the kindness, the love.

Speaker C:

The protection of God covers us.

Speaker C:

Bible says love covers a multitude of sins.

David Spoon:

And God loves us.

David Spoon:

I love Addybug.

David Spoon:

I love Isaiah Anthony.

David Spoon:

I love my grandchildren.

David Spoon:

I love Hannah.

David Spoon:

Anna Banana.

David Spoon:

It's not Hannah, it's Anna Banana.

David Spoon:

But I always have to say that so I can remember the banana part.

Speaker C:

I love Easton Scott to pieces.

David Spoon:

I love these kids.

David Spoon:

I promise you in four days they will do or say something that will be probably non profitable.

David Spoon:

I'm not going to yell at them and throw things at them.

David Spoon:

I'm going to love them.

David Spoon:

If that capacity is in me, how much more is that true in God?

Speaker C:

Even you, when you know better and do something dumb?

David Spoon:

The Lord, if he calls you on.

Speaker C:

The carpet, he calls you on the carpet.

David Spoon:

But it doesn't mean he's like, I'm going to withhold every good thing from you from now on until you make up for it.

David Spoon:

That is nothing but performance orientation.

David Spoon:

That is not how God operates.

Speaker C:

He loved us when we were enemies.

Speaker C:

How much more that we're now bowing our hearts and our minds and our knees before him.

Speaker C:

It's not justification to do wrong.

Speaker C:

It's understanding that the grace of God runs deeper than we think it does.

David Spoon:

Okay, all right, fair enough.

David Spoon:

We'll take a short break, then come back.

David Spoon:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Short break, we'll be back.

David Spoon:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker F:

What is the David Spoon experience.

Speaker G:

Ephesians, chapter 5.

Speaker G:

Ephesians chapter 5.

Speaker G:

Our words will justify us or condemn us.

Speaker G:

And we understand our words will justify us or condemn us because they reveal our hearts.

Speaker G:

So therefore, in conclusion, that our words justify us or condemn us because they reveal our heart.

Speaker G:

Hearts we need to remember and operate and function In Ephesians chapter 5, verse 20, which says this, and actually you can even look at verse 19, speak to one another in Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.

Speaker G:

Ephesians 5:19.

Speaker G:

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, Always giving thanks to God the Father.

Speaker G:

Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Speaker G:

Because you know that by your words you're justified and condemned.

Speaker G:

Because you know they reveal your heart.

Speaker G:

You ought to make sure that you follow the scriptures that Paul commands us to follow.

Speaker G:

And you ought to be being thankful in everything.

Speaker G:

You ought to be being thankful in everything.

Speaker G:

And if you are thankful in everything, that will be a part of your verbalization or your speech, and that will be a revelation as to what's in your heart.

Speaker G:

Are you a thankful Christian for everything?

Speaker G:

And you say, well, Dave, I'm thankful that he saved me, but I'm going through this trial and I don't like it.

Speaker G:

I'm not so thankful for the trial.

Speaker G:

And I say, I understand.

Speaker G:

I understand that.

Speaker G:

Again, not a new revelation coming right here.

Speaker G:

Romans chapter 8, verse 28 tells you the ticket, the method, the system by which you can be thankful in everything.

Speaker G:

I should be thankful in a divorce proceeding.

Speaker G:

I should be thankful that my brother is a drug addict.

Speaker G:

I should be thankful that I'm going bankrupt.

Speaker G:

I should be thankful that these terrible things are happening or that I should be thankful that I can't sleep.

Speaker C:

No.

Speaker G:

I think you should read Romans 8:28 with me and respond to this.

Speaker G:

And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him.

Speaker G:

So I think the answer is, can you be thankful in all those things?

David Spoon:

Yes.

Speaker G:

For going through a divorce?

David Spoon:

No.

Speaker G:

But that God is going to work into your lives, good things through this process.

Speaker G:

Absolutely.

Speaker G:

If you don't believe that God is going to work through that, are good into your lives and your trial.

Speaker G:

You don't believe anything he says.

Speaker G:

Because one of the greatest premises that Jesus laid down is, and I caught this just earlier this week, let not your hearts be troubled.

Speaker G:

There will be trouble in the world.

Speaker G:

I've overcome the world.

David Spoon:

It's like.

David Spoon:

But Jesus said, don't let your heart be troubled.

Speaker G:

As though we had a choice.

David Spoon:

We do.

Speaker G:

We do and we should be thankful in all of it while we're going.

David Spoon:

Through for the actual drug addiction.

Speaker G:

No, but that God's not going to.

Speaker C:

Give up on the person.

Speaker G:

He's going to work good out of it.

Speaker F:

The David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Here is your next trivia question.

David Spoon:

According to the sermon on the mount Matthew chapter 7:24 27 the foolish man built his house on the sand.

David Spoon:

What did the wise man build his house on?

David Spoon:

Mmm, the foolish man built his house on sand.

David Spoon:

What did the wise man build his house on?

David Spoon:

Matthew, chapter seven, verses 24 through 27.

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

-:

David Spoon:

But what did the wise man build his house on?

David Spoon:

Matthew 7:24 27 in the meantime, we'll do our DNA.

David Spoon:

DNA is the building blocks of how we exist.

David Spoon:

And here comes our D.

David Spoon:

D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.

David Spoon:

So every day.

Speaker C:

Now, don't tell me I can't do it every day.

David Spoon:

Yes you can.

David Spoon:

And we give you three things to remember every day that ends in Y.

David Spoon:

Spend some time with the guy in the sky.

David Spoon:

Number two, Every day that has a vowel in it, Spend time with the Lord.

David Spoon:

And then number three, every day that you get to breathe.

David Spoon:

Spend time with God.

David Spoon:

Draw closer to the Lord daily through prayer, through His Word, through fellowship, through different elements of connecting to God.

David Spoon:

Get the separated, separated, separated Time with the Lord so that your life can be better.

David Spoon:

Period.

David Spoon:

D.

David Spoon:

Draw closer to the Lord daily.

David Spoon:

N.

David Spoon:

Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David Spoon:

Never be ashamed of what Jesus had to say.

David Spoon:

In Luke 9:26, Jesus said, if you're ashamed of me and my words, I'll be ashamed of you when I come in the Father's glory with the holy angels.

David Spoon:

It's like, bad plan.

David Spoon:

Don't do that, don't do that, don't do that.

David Spoon:

Never be ashamed of what Jesus had to say.

David Spoon:

The world, they will try to shame.

Speaker C:

You, but the world has nothing eternal to offer you.

Speaker C:

Never forget that.

David Spoon:

D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never Be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David Spoon:

A Always be ready.

Speaker D:

To serve.

David Spoon:

To serve.

David Spoon:

Always ready.

David Spoon:

Just read Mark, chapter 13.

David Spoon:

When Jesus gives the entire discourse on his return and all the things leading up to it where everybody's come up with all their cool stuff and all these different theories, and some of it's cool and some of it's kind of weird and all this stuff.

David Spoon:

But at the end of the discourse, in Mark 13, Jesus said, you have to be ready, period.

David Spoon:

You have to watch.

David Spoon:

You have to be aware.

David Spoon:

And that's what God calls us to do.

David Spoon:

We can't be so caught up in us, so selfish, that we can't see past us.

David Spoon:

We have to be open and aware.

Speaker C:

And ready for anything the Lord wants at any moment.

David Spoon:

I don't care how often you do it.

David Spoon:

Check in with God often, every day.

David Spoon:

Anything you need me to do, I'm here, here I am.

Speaker C:

Use me.

David Spoon:

That's what we're talking about.

David Spoon:

D.

David Spoon:

Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.

David Spoon:

A Always be ready to serve.

David Spoon:

We do have somebody ready to answer a trivia question.

David Spoon:

Is that correct?

David Spoon:

Let's send them on through.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Joy Ann:

Amen.

Isaiah:

Isaiah.

David Spoon:

Hi, Isaiah.

David Spoon:

How are you doing?

David Spoon:

Is your middle name Anthony?

Isaiah:

Yes.

David Spoon:

Oh, wow.

David Spoon:

Well, here we go, Isaiah Anthony.

David Spoon:

I'll ask you the question and you answer it.

David Spoon:

Okay, get ready.

David Spoon:

Here we go.

David Spoon:

The foolish man built his house on the sand.

David Spoon:

What did the wise man build his house on?

Isaiah:

Rock.

David Spoon:

That is correct, Amanda.

David Spoon:

And for those that do not know, that is Isaiah Anthony, my grandchild.

David Spoon:

Hello.

David Spoon:

Hello.

David Spoon:

Hello.

David Spoon:

I'm gonna see you guys in about an hour and a half, okay?

Isaiah:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

Love you.

Isaiah:

Love you, too.

David Spoon:

Bye.

Isaiah:

Love you.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Bye, bug.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Bye.

David Spoon:

Bye, Anna.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

There you go.

David Spoon:

That's the first Spoon child to answer.

David Spoon:

Spoon.

David Spoon:

Anything to answer?

David Spoon:

Actually, it's a Schiller child, but that's not the point.

David Spoon:

It's all in my blood to answer it.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Great job, by the way.

David Spoon:

Kids are in training, aren't they?

David Spoon:

Okay, so we covered that.

David Spoon:

We covered the DNA, got that rolling.

David Spoon:

Everything's good.

David Spoon:

Here's what we're gonna do, because this next portion is so important for you to catch.

David Spoon:

I'm going to take the break because I want to put as much time in this next section because this will help you the entire year that you're coming into.

David Spoon:

That's why it's that important.

David Spoon:

David Spoon:

David Spoon:

You're listening to the David's Moon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.

David Spoon:

Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 7, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

That's K double Amen 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

We got a couple things that we're going to do, but first we have somebody on the phone and we want to send them through and give them a chance to share.

David Spoon:

Let's do that.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Joy Ann:

Hi, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

This is Joy Ann.

Joy Ann:

Merry Christmas.

David Spoon:

Merry Christmas, Joy Ann.

David Spoon:

Wonderful to hear your voice.

Joy Ann:

Thank you.

Joy Ann:

Oh, I loved hearing your grandson Isaiah Anthony answer the trivia question.

David Spoon:

I know.

David Spoon:

Pretty good, huh?

David Spoon:

They're training them, right?

David Spoon:

That's for sure.

Joy Ann:

Yeah.

Joy Ann:

And I was reading in Proverbs 23 this morning, verse 24 says, the Father of a righteous son will rejoice greatly, and one who fathers a wise son will delight in him.

Joy Ann:

So don't, you know, Jared and Julianne are delighting in their.

David Spoon:

Yes, absolutely.

David Spoon:

Excellent, excellent, excellent verse.

David Spoon:

Yes.

David Spoon:

Really, really good.

Joy Ann:

And thank, thank you for, you know, modeling that for your, your children and grandchildren.

Joy Ann:

And we have just loved your ministry all this year.

Joy Ann:

And Dr.

Joy Ann:

David, I do want to share just a quick praise and then a prayer request if I have a minute.

Joy Ann:

And then you're on a roll.

Joy Ann:

I love your message, so.

Joy Ann:

But something happened about a month ago.

Joy Ann:

Can I just share this real quick?

David Spoon:

Absolutely.

Joy Ann:

Okay, thank you.

Joy Ann:

Thank you.

Joy Ann:

So my, my twin sister and I, you know, we've had some financial struggle in the wake of, you know, life events and the Lord is really helping us.

Joy Ann:

But one thing that happened.

Joy Ann:

This is gonna sound wild, but we were down to about one roll of paper.

Joy Ann:

I mean, toilet paper.

Joy Ann:

That's not normal.

Joy Ann:

Normally we're a little more on top of things than that.

Joy Ann:

And I felt led by the Lord to go to a store.

Joy Ann:

I had gotten a coupon and when I went to the store, it had a big sign that a banner that said last day and store closing.

Joy Ann:

And so when I walked in, they said, okay, so everything in the store is 80% off, but you will get an additional 90% off at checkout.

Joy Ann:

So I was able to get some stocking stuffers for Christmas and they didn't have tp.

Joy Ann:

But I did get that later at another store with a little coupon.

Joy Ann:

But I was able to get over a hundred dollars worth of items.

Joy Ann:

Practical things too.

Joy Ann:

For less than $13 at Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

And that's just typical of the way the Lord just is helping us like we're his daughters.

Joy Ann:

And he's just so tender toward us.

Joy Ann:

And he is toward everybody, you know, who will call on him.

Joy Ann:

And.

Joy Ann:

And I just love the way the Scriptures speak that, you know, I.

Joy Ann:

I love to read my Bible every morning like you do.

Joy Ann:

And today's the 23rd, and that's why I was reading Proverbs 23 and of course, Psalm 23 and other parts of.

Joy Ann:

But that's the way our Lord does for us.

Joy Ann:

He just reaches us and tenderly, you know, meets our needs.

Joy Ann:

Isn't that so amazing?

David Spoon:

It's so wonderful.

David Spoon:

And one of the things that I actually pray for the audience, although they don't know, and this is not to curry favor, anything like that.

David Spoon:

I don't want anybody to get that weird idea.

David Spoon:

But what I pray for for the audience is the same thing that I pray for for myself, which is ironic.

David Spoon:

And I pray that the Lord would.

Speaker C:

Give us the multiplication miracle of the.

David Spoon:

Five loaves and the two fish, that he would take what we have and multiply it, give us that opportunity.

David Spoon:

And it just sounds a little bit like that's exactly what just happened to you.

David Spoon:

All of a sudden it's like, hey, I'm getting multiple of what I was trying to get.

David Spoon:

This is awesome.

David Spoon:

I just think that's phenomenal.

David Spoon:

It's a great, great, great testimony.

David Spoon:

Just super solid.

Joy Ann:

Thank you.

Joy Ann:

Yes.

Joy Ann:

And, you know, we want to minister to people, and sometimes the stocking stuffers and little gift bags, you know, do that.

Joy Ann:

And our heart is to give, and our gracious God is a giver, and he gave us.

Joy Ann:

You.

Joy Ann:

I mean, gave us this program.

Joy Ann:

And we've been listening for five years now.

Joy Ann:

We're just so blessed.

Joy Ann:

So thank you.

Joy Ann:

And I just want to say Merry Christmas and.

Joy Ann:

And to everybody and.

Joy Ann:

And could you just though end on a prayer that I will show great wisdom in making a very major financial decision this week.

Joy Ann:

I.

Joy Ann:

I know the Lord will help me, but I do need prayer covering for that.

David Spoon:

Let's pray right now.

David Spoon:

Let's do it.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now and thank you for your daughter.

David Spoon:

She's been a blessing to so many hundreds and thousands of people, and we really appreciate her.

David Spoon:

We just ask you, Lord God, just to comfort and strengthen her.

David Spoon:

She's gone through a lot, Lord, but.

Speaker C:

You bring us through these things.

David Spoon:

You bring us through the fire, and.

Speaker C:

You put us in this whole new place, Lord.

Speaker C:

You put a new song in our mouth.

Speaker C:

You put our feet upon the rock.

Speaker C:

And Lord, you just help us and sustain us always.

Speaker C:

Lord, she needs wisdom.

David Spoon:

It's the wisdom she doesn't have inside.

Speaker C:

Of her at this point, but it's not too smart for you.

Speaker C:

You are all knowledge, all wisdom.

David Spoon:

And we are asking you to guide.

Speaker C:

Joanne's steps in the decision making process.

Speaker C:

Your words clear.

Speaker C:

If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without finding fault.

Speaker C:

Lord, give your daughter wisdom to make the right decisions, ones that will honor and glorify you.

Speaker C:

One that will take her in the direction you want her to go.

David Spoon:

And let her have that great sense of peace instead of fear.

Speaker C:

Once that decision has been made and committed into your hands, let her have full confidence in you and your ability and your graciousness to protect her and to guide her.

Speaker C:

Pour your graciousness upon her and upon Cordelia and their home and everything that's going on.

Speaker C:

And just love them and let them be loved.

Speaker C:

During this time.

Speaker C:

We pray in Jesus name, Amen and amen.

Joy Ann:

Amen.

Joy Ann:

Thank you, Dr.

Joy Ann:

David.

Joy Ann:

We love you and bless you and Noelle and all the family and enjoy them this week.

Joy Ann:

Thank you.

Joy Ann:

And now carry on.

David Spoon:

Okay, thank you.

Joy Ann:

Thank you.

David Spoon:

Thank you, Cordelia.

David Spoon:

God bless you.

Joy Ann:

Blessings.

Joy Ann:

All right, bye bye.

Speaker C:

Bye bye.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

Isn't that sweet?

David Spoon:

That is sweet.

David Spoon:

All right, let me get to this part of this message here.

David Spoon:

And I'm not going to forget Jake's take because I got to give him his due, but he's not going to get it till the next little bit, okay?

David Spoon:

Because I got to do this message thing.

David Spoon:

So I have to tell him you get to do the sports update, but after I finish the teaching.

Speaker C:

That's it, folks.

David Spoon:

That's the kind of show you have.

David Spoon:

I'm sorry, we might not even take a break.

David Spoon:

We'll see what happens.

David Spoon:

All right, look it.

David Spoon:

Look at this.

David Spoon:

This is very cool.

David Spoon:

This one of those things where.

David Spoon:

And I've told you this before, now you guys know a little bit about me.

David Spoon:

You know, born and raised Jewish, became a Christian, have Baptist in a Pentecostal ordination.

David Spoon:

I have a master's degree from a Pentecostal group.

David Spoon:

I have a doctorate degree from a Baptist group.

David Spoon:

I'm a Baptistal.

David Spoon:

I was sharing with my neighbor just the other day.

David Spoon:

It's like, I like the best of all the worlds.

David Spoon:

I don't have to pick and choose.

David Spoon:

I want to use everything that's great in God in this particular translation, this verse that I'm going To read is so fascinating.

David Spoon:

It's why I'm teaching Genesis out of this translation, because there's a couple things like this that it communicates, which is in the Hebrew, but it's spelled out a little better in this translation, and I love that.

David Spoon:

Here's what it says in Genesis 13.

David Spoon:

This is after Abram and Tzeri and Lot, they're all kind of done.

David Spoon:

They're done with the Pharaoh scenario.

David Spoon:

That's over with.

David Spoon:

Great.

David Spoon:

Super solid.

David Spoon:

This is what it says in chapter 13, verse 1.

David Spoon:

They left Egypt and traveled north into the Negev.

David Spoon:

Abraham was with his wife and Lot and all that they owned, for Abram was very rich in livestock, silver, and gold.

David Spoon:

Then they continued traveling by stages towards Bethel, to the place between Bethel and AI where they had camped before.

David Spoon:

Why I want to bring this up is this little thing right here.

David Spoon:

It's just a little verse, a little statement, a little simple thing, but it's so important.

David Spoon:

Abraham, with Lot and with Sarai, traveled.

David Spoon:

They were going to in between Bethel and AI, so they're going towards Bethel, and they're going to be between Bethel and AI.

David Spoon:

And they were going to a place they'd been before.

David Spoon:

And in their traveling, they traveled by stages.

David Spoon:

And I want you to grasp that this is all.

David Spoon:

All connected in 2 Corinthians 3.

David Spoon:

I know you guys have heard me talk about it before, and it's one of those things you can't afford to miss is kind of what I'm trying to say to you.

David Spoon:

In 2 Corinthians 3:18, it says this.

David Spoon:

But we all with unveiled faces, beholding, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image of the Lord.

David Spoon:

From glory to glory, step by step, inch by inch, stages by stages.

David Spoon:

Pastor Kurt taught this phenomenal message at Stillwater about God taking you from point A to point B in stages, and then from point B to point C and point C to point D.

David Spoon:

And Abraham traveled in stages.

David Spoon:

And your Christian journey is being directed in stages.

David Spoon:

And you might be thinking, well, it seems to me like some of these trials keep repeating.

David Spoon:

Well, there's always a reason for a repeat trial, so don't get arrogant, okay?

Speaker C:

What it is, is the Lord is.

David Spoon:

Moving us piece by piece, station by station, place by place, to get us.

Speaker C:

To the next place.

David Spoon:

He took them out of Egypt, through the wilderness, into the promised land.

Speaker C:

There are three separate stages right there.

Speaker C:

That's what we have to see.

Speaker C:

This isn't all.

David Spoon:

I'm now a Christian.

David Spoon:

I do everything perfect.

David Spoon:

Really have you ever met anybody like that?

David Spoon:

I know a lot of the leaders in the framework of the church and a lot of the teachers, a lot of professors.

David Spoon:

And I can promise you this, only Jesus is perfect.

David Spoon:

That's all you gotta remember.

David Spoon:

It's like everybody's growing, everybody's learning, everybody's reflecting to be more and more like Jesus in stages.

David Spoon:

And it's just this beautiful portion in the new Living translation that.

David Spoon:

Just one of those things where that's something you should put on a sign.

David Spoon:

I'm doing this in stages.

Speaker C:

Right.

David Spoon:

And that tells you who's in charge.

David Spoon:

And remember this in Philippians 1:6, he.

Speaker C:

Who has begun a good work in you will continue to do it until.

David Spoon:

The day of Christ.

David Spoon:

In other words, being confident that he.

Speaker C:

Who started this work will continue to.

David Spoon:

Do this work as he sees fit.

David Spoon:

Not as you see fit.

David Spoon:

Oh, I know you want to say.

Speaker C:

But it's me, it's me.

David Spoon:

You're the recipient of the grace of God, but this is his work in.

Speaker C:

Your life in stages, step by step.

Speaker C:

And listen to this.

Speaker C:

He knows exactly how to get you from point A to point B.

Speaker C:

Isn't that cool?

Speaker C:

Like, oh, well, I'm living my Christian walk.

Speaker C:

Kind of like Abraham existed in his walk.

Speaker C:

Yeah, yeah.

David Spoon:

And then the end of it's even cooler, which we'll see if we can get to.

David Spoon:

We do have somebody on the line, so I gotta see what's going on.

David Spoon:

Let's go ahead and send them on through, see what's happening there.

David Spoon:

Knock, knock.

David Spoon:

This is David.

David Spoon:

Who am I talking to?

Isaiah:

Hello?

David Spoon:

Hello, it's Ann.

David Spoon:

Hi, Ann.

David Spoon:

How are you doing?

Isaiah:

Oh, pretty good.

Isaiah:

I was calling to let you know this is the lady you sent the Bible to.

Isaiah:

Yes, ma'am, I know that I did get it.

David Spoon:

You did?

Isaiah:

Delivered it.

Isaiah:

And they put the box over the gate into my yard.

Isaiah:

You know, leaned over the gate and put it in the yard so that way it was safe.

David Spoon:

Praise the Lord.

David Spoon:

So you got the Bible that we sent you?

Isaiah:

Yes, I sure appreciate it.

Isaiah:

And I've been doing some reading, and it is very easy to read.

Isaiah:

Yeah, And I appreciate that you got it.

David Spoon:

I thought you would appreciate.

David Spoon:

That's actually the same translation I'm talking about on what I'm teaching.

David Spoon:

It's the nlt, the New Living Translation.

David Spoon:

I remember what Billy Graham wrote about it.

David Spoon:

It was very powerful.

David Spoon:

And it's not that you would use this Bible to study the Greek per se, but you would use this Bible to hear the voice of the Lord.

David Spoon:

I was like, that's Good.

David Spoon:

Right there.

David Spoon:

Do that.

David Spoon:

Do that.

David Spoon:

That's good.

David Spoon:

Excellent, Anne.

David Spoon:

I'm very happy that you received it yesterday.

Isaiah:

I was having a bad day, and so I read, and I still couldn't seem to get myself, I guess, settled down or what.

Isaiah:

Just worrying.

Isaiah:

And I'm worrying about tomorrow because they're saying we're going to have a lot of rain.

Isaiah:

And with me being an elderly person, I do not get out in the rain because I'm afraid I'll get sick, you know?

David Spoon:

Yeah.

Isaiah:

And so I've been hoping that maybe it'll pass us by or not be in this particular area, and someone in my family will be picking me up and going to my sister's house and we have our Christmas Eve.

Isaiah:

Our Christmas.

Isaiah:

Always on Christmas Eve.

Isaiah:

Well, no.

David Spoon:

And here's what I'm going to say to you, okay?

David Spoon:

I want you to do me a favor, okay?

David Spoon:

I really want you to do me this favor.

David Spoon:

I want you to decide.

David Spoon:

I want you to decide that you're not going to be afraid.

David Spoon:

I want you to say, you know what?

David Spoon:

I don't have to be afraid because.

Speaker C:

God is with me.

David Spoon:

And if God is with you, you don't have to be afraid.

David Spoon:

Even if it rains, if God is with you, you don't have to be afraid.

David Spoon:

I want you to think about that because you know what?

Speaker C:

He loves you and he's with you.

Speaker C:

Can you do that?

David Spoon:

Yes, I think you can.

David Spoon:

Let me pray over you.

David Spoon:

Okay.

Isaiah:

May I mention something else?

David Spoon:

Sure, sure.

Isaiah:

The wind.

Isaiah:

The last two days, the temperature hasn't been bad in the afternoon.

Isaiah:

But that wind, it is so cold that it's like it's just cutting through you, you know, making you hurt.

Isaiah:

And.

Isaiah:

And that was bothering me.

Isaiah:

And I couldn't get outside.

Isaiah:

I couldn't do any leaves.

Isaiah:

I couldn't, you know, do anything I need to be doing.

Isaiah:

And so I went and walked to the dollar store, which is just a few pieces, you know, a little bit feet away.

Isaiah:

And I learned to know the people there that worked there.

Isaiah:

And there's this young lady, she's very, very nice.

Isaiah:

And we get to talk, and then she hugs me when I come in.

Isaiah:

And I had bought some candy canes, and so I gave her some candy canes.

Isaiah:

And she says, oh.

Isaiah:

She says, well, I'm going to give to my grandma, too.

Isaiah:

She's moved in with her grandma, lives with her grandma.

Isaiah:

And so anyway, talking to her and just getting out for a little bit, it kind of, you know, helped me feel better.

David Spoon:

Good.

David Spoon:

That's good.

David Spoon:

That's good, though.

David Spoon:

That's what you want.

David Spoon:

You want to have that surrounding you.

David Spoon:

You want to have people that are encouraging and loving on you.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

I mean, that's what you want.

David Spoon:

So I want to pray over you.

David Spoon:

Okay?

David Spoon:

Can I do that?

Isaiah:

Yes.

David Spoon:

Let me pray over you.

David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now and lift up Ann to you.

David Spoon:

And Lord, I pray that you would put her in a place of her heart and her mind that she would not be afraid.

David Spoon:

Your word teaches that you didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Speaker C:

And I ask you just to encourage Ann in her thinking, to just have confidence that you'll protect her, that she would know you're her daddy and you'll watch over her and you'll protect her and love her.

Speaker C:

And I pray you bless her Christmas time, bless their day tomorrow and the day after as well, and just all.

David Spoon:

Things connected and let that word that.

Speaker C:

She'S reading minister to her and encourage her.

Speaker C:

We pray for your blessing in her life.

Speaker C:

In Jesus name, amen and amen.

Isaiah:

Amen.

David Spoon:

Amen.

David Spoon:

I want you to have a merry Christmas.

Speaker C:

Okay.

Isaiah:

Well, I'd like for you to have a good Christmas too, and your family and I heard your little grandson while ago.

David Spoon:

Yeah.

David Spoon:

Thank you so much and that's so sweet of you.

David Spoon:

And we really just think.

David Spoon:

We just thank you for being a part of our show.

David Spoon:

All right.

Isaiah:

I appreciate it.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

God bless you, Ann.

Isaiah:

God bless you, sir.

David Spoon:

Bye bye.

Isaiah:

Bye bye.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

She's so sweet.

David Spoon:

Isn't she sweet?

David Spoon:

All right, now I gotta do this.

David Spoon:

You're just gonna have to deal with it.

David Spoon:

We only got five minutes left.

David Spoon:

How do these shows go so fast?

David Spoon:

I can't even keep up anymore.

David Spoon:

Jake, we gotta do Jake's take.

David Spoon:

Let's do Jake's take real fast.

David Spoon:

Real fast.

David Spoon:

All right, Mr.

David Spoon:

I caught up to David.

David Spoon:

What do you got for me?

Speaker D:

Well, David, we gave our picks the last show and let's just have a little bit of round of applause.

Speaker D:

Let's get a golf clap for me as I got both games right.

David Spoon:

That's your golf clap right there.

David Spoon:

You were right, I was wrong.

Speaker D:

Thank you.

Speaker D:

So the Cowboys won their game.

Speaker D:

A close game.

Speaker D:

I thought for a second, we talked about it for the show.

Speaker D:

I thought for a second it.

Speaker D:

It could turn into an easy win for the Cowboys.

Speaker D:

But Tampa Bay did come back and make it a close game, but Cowboys pulled it out.

Speaker D:

So a win for the Cowboys.

Speaker D:

Unfortunately, they are out of the playoff with Washington winning.

Speaker D:

So these games I Guess don't matter.

Speaker D:

And then the, the, you know, the.

Speaker D:

The big picture of making playoffs, but still a good win for the Cowboys.

Speaker D:

And the Lions also got the win.

David Spoon:

Yes, they did.

David Spoon:

Yes, they did.

David Spoon:

So we're going to be seeing what takes place and we're looking forward to the Lions.

David Spoon:

Now.

David Spoon:

My.

David Spoon:

My son in law is here and he's a big Green Bay fan and.

David Spoon:

But I'm not sure what he's thinking about Minnesota.

David Spoon:

And so I'm just going to be honest.

David Spoon:

We.

David Spoon:

We.

David Spoon:

I have a very strong feeling Minnesota is going to be problematic, but we'll see what happens in the overall.

David Spoon:

But that is.

David Spoon:

Right.

David Spoon:

You are now even with me then in total picks, correct?

Speaker D:

Yes.

David Spoon:

Yes, we're even.

David Spoon:

Even.

Speaker C:

Wow.

Speaker D:

Yes, we are even.

Speaker D:

And the Vikings, I think they're a good team, but it's funny, I almost look at them.

Speaker D:

I'm turning, I'm shifting my thought process on the Lions, but the Vikings are almost like the Lions where they haven't won a Super Bowl.

Speaker D:

So I'm just waiting for them to be the Vikings.

Speaker D:

They usually are.

David Spoon:

Let's hope that's the rest of this year anyway.

David Spoon:

That's mean.

David Spoon:

I know.

David Spoon:

Nobody get mad.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Good job on Jake's take, though.

David Spoon:

But now you're even.

David Spoon:

So now it's like a whole new thing starting next week, right?

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

All right.

David Spoon:

I'm not going to do any history or anything else.

David Spoon:

I don't have time, so I have to finish off this last little bit.

David Spoon:

But thank you, Jake, for doing that.

David Spoon:

And by the way, I want you to have a Merry Christmas.

David Spoon:

Okay.

David Spoon:

Maybe have a Merry Christmas.

David Spoon:

I would say Happy Hanukkah, but you're not Jewish, so I'm not going to say that.

Speaker D:

Okay, well, Merry Christmas to you, David, and Happy Hanukkah.

Speaker D:

I hope you have a great next two days off.

David Spoon:

Thank you, sir.

David Spoon:

I appreciate that.

David Spoon:

Last thing I want to say about Abraham.

David Spoon:

We only got three minutes.

David Spoon:

You might as well just smile and go, okay, whatever you want, Dave.

David Spoon:

Here we go.

David Spoon:

So here's what Abraham says.

David Spoon:

They left Egypt.

David Spoon:

They traveled north into the Negev.

David Spoon:

Abraham with his wife and lot.

David Spoon:

And all they owned for Abram was very rich in livestock, silver and gold.

David Spoon:

Then they continued traveling by stages towards Bethel, to the place between Bethel and where they had camped before.

David Spoon:

This was the place where Abraham had built an altar.

David Spoon:

And there he again worshiped the Lord.

David Spoon:

I just want to point this out to you, and this is going to sound really goofy, but there are times in your life, and now, especially in Your life.

David Spoon:

nd we got things coming up in:

David Spoon:

Listen.

David Spoon:

Your energy for moving forward is you being connected to the Lord.

David Spoon:

It always has been, it always will be.

David Spoon:

And if revisiting scriptures or things in your walk that when you went through this, the Lord really helped you and strengthened you, if revisiting that empowers you or strengthens you, then do it.

David Spoon:

God created memorials in the Old Testament for the purpose of reminding the people of God of the things that God had done for them.

David Spoon:

You have had a Christian journey.

David Spoon:

You have had different marks.

David Spoon:

Different things take place at different times.

David Spoon:

I think it's super healthy.

David Spoon:

If you are reflective on those great moments you've had with God.

David Spoon:

It doesn't mean you're living in the past.

David Spoon:

If you recognize those moments that God did things in your lives.

David Spoon:

That's his testimony that he has.

David Spoon:

He is and he will again.

Speaker C:

God has been close to you.

David Spoon:

He's helped you.

David Spoon:

He's guided you.

David Spoon:

And the proper response when you reflect on all these awesome things that God has done is the same response that Abram did.

Speaker C:

He worshiped the Lord again.

David Spoon:

And that's the response that we should have.

David Spoon:

When I sit there and think of.

Speaker C:

All the amazing deliverances and graces God has given me, I worship him again.

Speaker C:

Because I sometimes can't even believe how far he's brought me.

Speaker C:

I'm not worth it.

Speaker C:

I'm not worthy of it.

Speaker C:

I could never earn it.

Speaker C:

But that's how awesome grace is.

Speaker C:

And it's no different for you.

Speaker C:

It's no different for any of us.

Speaker C:

Reflecting on the great things God has done in our lives.

Speaker C:

And those great moments should lead us to worship the Lord again and to be highly aware.

Speaker C:

He's not done.

Speaker C:

He's not done with you.

Speaker C:

He has all new things coming in your direction.

Speaker C:

Do you perceive it?

Speaker C:

Can you see it?

David Spoon:

All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770 Truth Station here in Texas.

David Spoon:

Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy Hanukkah.

David Spoon:

God bless.

Speaker G:

Yeah, Purchase my freedom at the cost of his son.

Speaker B:

What else can I do but gladly serve him?

David Spoon:

Give myself?

David Spoon:

The views expressed in the preceding program.

Speaker B:

Were those of the speakers and not necessarily those of KAAM DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.

Just ask him.
