Dr. David Spoon:

Hello, everybody.

Dr. David Spoon:

I've got sunshine on a cloud today when it's cold outside I've got my mother made.

Dr. David Spoon:

Here's what's coming up on today's experience.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's Dr.

Dr. David Spoon:

Dave's devotional Diamonds of the Day, also known as DDDs, where my daily devotions become some of our spiritual reflections.

Dr. David Spoon:

Sound effects placed throughout the show which have nothing to do with life.

Dr. David Spoon:

But the Bible teaches in Ecclesiastes 3, 4, there's a time to laugh.

Dr. David Spoon:

Ha.

Dr. David Spoon:

The review of the goofy news, which proves Jesus is coming back sooner than you think.

Dr. David Spoon:

Of course, we hope before this introduction is over, life lessons for our faith that we can actually use probably won't.

Dr. David Spoon:

If we sit on our blessed assurance humor that will force you to think, why does this guy have a radio show?

Dr. David Spoon:

The answer is, because I'm blessed by the Lord, that's why.

Dr. David Spoon:

Also, Bible trivia for fake and yet somehow real cool prizes, your phone calls and more.

Dr. David Spoon:

Living this life, not always easy running.

Dr. David Spoon:

Oh.

Dr. David Spoon:

Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.

Dr. David Spoon:

Local, national and heavenly talk.

Dr. David Spoon:

My name is Dr.

Dr. David Spoon:

See, I can stretch that out.

Dr. David Spoon:

Dr.

Dr. David Spoon:

David Spooner.

Dr. David Spoon:

And I'll be your host for the next 5,400,000 milliseconds.

Dr. David Spoon:

Get ready for one of the more bizarre experiences on live radio.

Dr. David Spoon:

Here is the key to the show.

Dr. David Spoon:

We don't know what we're doing.

Dr. David Spoon:

We have no idea what's gonna happen.

Dr. David Spoon:

We don't care.

Dr. David Spoon:

But for the next few minutes, I wanna talk faith with you.

Dr. David Spoon:

So here we go.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're asking questions about living life as a Christian.

Dr. David Spoon:

That thingy right there.

Dr. David Spoon:

And how we open up on Mondays, it's pretty much the same.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's very important to understand that the people that listen to this show, the people that listen to this show are phenomenal prayers.

Dr. David Spoon:

I mean, they pray, they believe, they trust.

Dr. David Spoon:

So we ask you this question on Monday.

Dr. David Spoon:

What can our prayer warriors pray for you about?

Dr. David Spoon:

Yep, you gotta reach out to the show.

Dr. David Spoon:

You gotta tell me in a couple of different ways what the prayers are.

Dr. David Spoon:

But the people that listen to this show will be jumping on it when we talk about it.

Dr. David Spoon:

Praying and believing with prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, bringing those requests to the Lord.

Dr. David Spoon:

And the Lord answers prayers.

Dr. David Spoon:

And for everybody who doesn't seem to have a lot of prayers answered, there would be a couple things I'd tell you, two or more.

Dr. David Spoon:

When they gather Together, Jesus is in their midst.

Dr. David Spoon:

And when they agree upon something, it shall be done, plus a mustard seed of faith.

Dr. David Spoon:

So if we take everybody's little mustard seeds of faith, we got a whole bunch of seeds of faith.

Dr. David Spoon:

And that's what the Lord wants to see from his people.

Dr. David Spoon:

So simple.

Dr. David Spoon:

What can our prayer warriors, our audience, our people, the people of God pray for you about?

Dr. David Spoon:

If you want to reach out and respond to that, you're welcome to.

Dr. David Spoon:

Also, if you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question, you can do that as well.

Dr. David Spoon:

All you got to do is call.

Dr. David Spoon:

Now, wait, it's a telephone, but you can do it.

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

Man, that's like heading into the week with great faith and expectation.

Dr. David Spoon:

Thank you, David.

Dr. David Spoon:

Happy Monday.

Dr. David Spoon:

Happy Monday to you, my friend.

Dr. David Spoon:

Of course, later on we will be covering our Jake's take from the Thanksgiving experience that everybody had if they were at home.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'll talk about Thanksgiving in a little bit.

Dr. David Spoon:

I do want people to know, though, that we are working hard making things as good as we can for everybody.

Dr. David Spoon:

And what that means is simply this.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're praying for you on a regular basis.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to be praying for people's finances.

Dr. David Spoon:

James needs some financial blessing and a lot of people need financial blessing, and we're going to be praying along those lines.

Dr. David Spoon:

So if you've got something else that's going on, you are welcome to call us.

Dr. David Spoon:

You know what we're, what we're where we're geared.

Dr. David Spoon:

You know how we think.

Dr. David Spoon:

We love the other shows that are after us and before us.

Dr. David Spoon:

We think they're awesome, we think the hosts are awesome, the teaching is awesome.

Dr. David Spoon:

And our show, we gear towards encouraging one another to draw closer to the Lord.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's what we do.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's how we function.

Dr. David Spoon:

The reason is simple.

Dr. David Spoon:

We want to be closer and closer to the Lord.

Dr. David Spoon:

No matter what happens, no matter what comes down, the closer you are to God, the better off you are, period, in every possible realm.

Dr. David Spoon:

So we believe that's exceedingly important.

Dr. David Spoon:

And I want you just to be aware of that.

Dr. David Spoon:

And that's kind of how we gear and think our show out.

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

Totally cool.

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

A little slower.

Dr. David Spoon:

Here we go.

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

So you can call us, you can text us.

Dr. David Spoon:

Oh, by the way, you can send an email.

Dr. David Spoon:

What?

Dr. David Spoon:

Yeah.

Dr. David Spoon:

No, live during the show, not during the replay, which is on at like one in the morning.

Dr. David Spoon:

No, during the show right now.

Dr. David Spoon:

You can send an email.

Dr. David Spoon:

David must increase.org d a v I d.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's my name.

Dr. David Spoon:

David at that's the a with a circle around it.

Dr. David Spoon:

He must increase because John 3:30 says he must increase.

Dr. David Spoon:

I must decrease.org because we're a non profit company corporation.

Dr. David Spoon:

Get it?

Dr. David Spoon:

So you can call us, you can text us, you can email us.

Dr. David Spoon:

Why would you do that?

Dr. David Spoon:

Well, I already told you, we're going to be praying for people because prayer is essential.

Dr. David Spoon:

It gets things changed.

Dr. David Spoon:

Father, who art thou in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Dr. David Spoon:

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's how Jesus taught us to pray, showed that model.

Dr. David Spoon:

And so we're going to follow that the best we can.

Dr. David Spoon:

Maybe you've got a prayer praise report from something that the Lord has done.

Dr. David Spoon:

Maybe something went really well.

Dr. David Spoon:

Hey, maybe your Thanksgiving was brilliant, was phenomenal, was fantastic, awesome, and you were praying for it and that's what happened.

Dr. David Spoon:

Those are the kind of things that you share with one another because they encourage one another.

Dr. David Spoon:

And praise reports are powerful.

Dr. David Spoon:

They're blessings.

Dr. David Spoon:

And besides all of that, you're giving honor to the Lord and there's little that's as important as that.

Dr. David Spoon:

Maybe you've got something like a scripture you want to share.

Dr. David Spoon:

Something happened.

Dr. David Spoon:

You're kind of focused on something the Lord's been teaching you.

Dr. David Spoon:

All of that stuff is great.

Dr. David Spoon:

Share it with your brothers and sisters.

Dr. David Spoon:

I don't care what your background is.

Dr. David Spoon:

Do you love Jesus Christ?

Dr. David Spoon:

Do you love Jesus?

Dr. David Spoon:

Well, then you're my brother or you're my sister.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'm not worried about your denominational background.

Dr. David Spoon:

We find the unity in the Father, Heavenly Father, our dad, through the Lord Jesus Christ, blood relatives because of the blood of Jesus Christ and we're drinking from one Holy Spirit.

Dr. David Spoon:

The unity is there.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's our job to keep it.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's what we fight to do.

Dr. David Spoon:

You got differences of opinions.

Dr. David Spoon:

Congratulations.

Dr. David Spoon:

I promise you, not everybody was happy with the way that the football game went on Thursday.

Dr. David Spoon:

Although Jacob and I would not be of those people.

Dr. David Spoon:

But I'M just saying that doesn't make it less connected.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're connected through God, so let's keep that in mind.

Dr. David Spoon:

And we are gonna go to prayer.

Dr. David Spoon:

And we also have another request, and that's important, too.

Dr. David Spoon:

I want people to recognize that we think it's superbly important to be praying for people and for praying for one another.

Dr. David Spoon:

So here's what we're gonna do.

Dr. David Spoon:

First, we're gonna pray for the finances, okay?

Dr. David Spoon:

Then we have somebody else that needs prayer for some friends, and we're gonna pray for them as well.

Dr. David Spoon:

But first we're gonna pray for the finances.

Dr. David Spoon:

Then we have some things we have to share.

Dr. David Spoon:

Got some sad news I wanna share with you.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'll do that in a little bit, but hang in there with me.

Dr. David Spoon:

First, let's pray for people's finances because we as a ministry are amongst those that need that help.

Dr. David Spoon:

So let's pray.

Dr. David Spoon:

Father, we come before you right now and we know that you are gracious and kind.

Dr. David Spoon:

We know that because you have given us Jesus Christ and your Word teaches us.

Dr. David Spoon:

For God so loved the world that he gave.

Dr. David Spoon:

And you give to us because you love us.

Dr. David Spoon:

And we thank you for Jesus.

Dr. David Spoon:

Some of us are having a little bit of financial struggle, Lord.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're just really looking forward to you doing the multiplying thing that you've done before.

Dr. David Spoon:

We just think it would be phenomenal.

Dr. David Spoon:

And, Lord, whatever it is, and however you respond, we're going to praise you and we're going to thank you and we're going to trust you, because we're going to believe that your graciousness is greater than our vision of the natural.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to believe that your generosity is more powerful than our situation.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to believe, Lord.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to have faith.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to trust.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to absolutely believe that the goodness, the graciousness, the generosity that comes from you applies to us as your kids.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to believe you when you tell us that it's your pleasure to bring us the kingdom.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to believe you when your Word teaches us that you've given us Jesus.

Dr. David Spoon:

How will you not give us everything else?

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to believe.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to stand in faith and we're going to trust you.

Dr. David Spoon:

And we ask for everybody that needs that financial multiplication, that financial miracle, the loaves and the fishes multiplying, that you would multiply for us, Lord, but it would be to your glory.

Dr. David Spoon:

And we would not use this to consume it on our flesh, but to glorify your name.

Dr. David Spoon:

So, Lord, it's a simple, straightforward prayer.

Dr. David Spoon:

Bless people whether they need a new job, a new position, a new situation.

Dr. David Spoon:

Lord, change these circumstances so that your people have the favor falling upon them.

Dr. David Spoon:

But, Lord, we have to be responsible and we have to honor you and give you praise through that process.

Dr. David Spoon:

So, Lord, we lift it up before you.

Dr. David Spoon:

We thank you for it.

Dr. David Spoon:

We believe that you are our source and our resource for those that need that position, need a new place, need a financial bliss.

Dr. David Spoon:

Please, Lord, pour it out before us and we will pour it back up to you in praise.

Dr. David Spoon:

And let us be good stewards with that which you grant us.

Dr. David Spoon:

We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Dr. David Spoon:

And amen.

Dr. David Spoon:

Okay, so in the next part of the show, we're going to be praying for people as well, praying for friends.

Dr. David Spoon:

We have somebody that needs prayer for their friends that are not doing as well as they can be doing.

Dr. David Spoon:

And we'll get to that.

Dr. David Spoon:

I do want to do a little bit of teaching.

Dr. David Spoon:

And then towards the end, I'm going to share something, a little bit of sad news.

Dr. David Spoon:

We'll get to that in just a bit.

Dr. David Spoon:

But in the meantime, let's jump right into Titus.

Dr. David Spoon:

And for those that do not know, we're at verse 10.

Dr. David Spoon:

And here's what verse 10 says.

Dr. David Spoon:

This is Paul writing to Titus.

Dr. David Spoon:

He's on the island of Crete.

Dr. David Spoon:

This is his other young protege.

Dr. David Spoon:

Timothy was the first to.

Dr. David Spoon:

Titus is next, and so he's writing him.

Dr. David Spoon:

And this is one of the Pastoral epistles, one of the Pastoral letters, First and second Timothy and Titus.

Dr. David Spoon:

And Paul writes to him in verse 10 of chapter one says, for there are many rebellious people full of empty talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision party.

Dr. David Spoon:

It is necessary to silence them, for they are ruining entire households by teaching what they shouldn't in order to get money dishonestly.

Dr. David Spoon:

Wow.

Dr. David Spoon:

Seems like there's about 5,000 things that can fit under that umbrella.

Dr. David Spoon:

Let's get right into it.

Dr. David Spoon:

Titus is finding out from Paul.

Dr. David Spoon:

Paul's reminding him, hey, there's a lot of rebellious people.

Dr. David Spoon:

You don't have to look very far.

Dr. David Spoon:

You don't have to turn on very many elements of media to find out there's a lot of rebellious and deceptive people.

Dr. David Spoon:

We need to keep in mind that those who go to heaven will not outnumber those who go to hell.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'm just telling you because it's a fact, it's a truth, it's a reality.

Dr. David Spoon:

This is not a numbers game.

Dr. David Spoon:

In fact, it's not a game at all.

Dr. David Spoon:

Wide is the road to destruction, narrow is the path to life, and few there be that find it.

Dr. David Spoon:

In other words, there's not a ton of people coming in the way that there's a ton of people going the other direction into destruction.

Dr. David Spoon:

And Paul doesn't have any pullback on that.

Dr. David Spoon:

He goes, there's many rebellious people, and they're all over the place, and we need to be aware of that.

Dr. David Spoon:

And he's very concerned for Titus and the people that Titus is teaching, because these people are sharing and teaching things that are just full of baloney.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's empty talk.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's deceptive, and it does hinge a lot, Paul says, on those from the circumcision party, which has a lot to do with the law and keeping the law as a means of righteousness.

Dr. David Spoon:

And he's like going, that's the wrong ticket.

Dr. David Spoon:

You get saved by grace, you stay in grace, you live in grace, you exist in grace.

Dr. David Spoon:

And everything outside of grace is just going to create a lot of problems.

Dr. David Spoon:

But he says something that's.

Dr. David Spoon:

I think it's pretty fascinating.

Dr. David Spoon:

He defines these rebellious people as full of empty talk and deception.

Dr. David Spoon:

So this is especially true for those who are overly committed, like we said, to the circumcision, to have some form of righteousness.

Dr. David Spoon:

Now, empty talk means a lot of words, and deception mean there's something else going on underneath that they're trying to accomplish.

Dr. David Spoon:

So it's a lot of empty words to get somewhere else.

Dr. David Spoon:

Paul tells us exactly what that is.

Dr. David Spoon:

Unfortunately, this indictment expands to many people and specifically to leaders, both political, spiritual and influential.

Dr. David Spoon:

And he says something that has mystified me for a while.

Dr. David Spoon:

So bear with me while I pour this out.

Dr. David Spoon:

Paul points out, it's necessary to silence them.

Dr. David Spoon:

Did you hear what I said?

Dr. David Spoon:

Verse 11.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's necessary to silence them.

Dr. David Spoon:

So when we hear that, what do we think?

Dr. David Spoon:

Oh, okay, we'll have to do something.

Dr. David Spoon:

No, it does not mean to physically silence them.

Dr. David Spoon:

That is not what it is to silence somebody.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'm going to tell you what it is to silence somebody.

Dr. David Spoon:

It means to pay no attention to what they have to say, to give no value to their words, to give them no respect and no response.

Dr. David Spoon:

That is how you silence somebody.

Dr. David Spoon:

You give them nothing.

Dr. David Spoon:

You don't take it on.

Dr. David Spoon:

You don't listen, you don't receive.

Dr. David Spoon:

Christians are thinking, well, we got to silence them.

Dr. David Spoon:

This is how you silence them.

Dr. David Spoon:

Give them no weight for their words.

Dr. David Spoon:

Now, here's something that I struggle with, and having been in with Salem Media and now here with the Crawford crew.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's something that amazes me.

Dr. David Spoon:

And this happens on a regular basis all over Christian radio as well as all over the news.

Dr. David Spoon:

What's amazing to me is that people will recognize that certain news organizations demonstrate the continual ability to lie.

Dr. David Spoon:

Lie after lie after lie after lie.

Dr. David Spoon:

And yet the non liars will often quote the liars to prove a point.

Dr. David Spoon:

And it's like, if these news organizations are lying, why do you ever quote them?

Dr. David Spoon:

Why do you ever point to them?

Dr. David Spoon:

Even when they agree with you, they're liars?

Dr. David Spoon:

Why would you quote a lying organization as though that's a way to validate yourself?

Dr. David Spoon:

It's weird.

Dr. David Spoon:

The father of lies is Satan.

Dr. David Spoon:

And those people that live and tell lies are Satan's offspring.

Dr. David Spoon:

Which is exactly what Jesus said in John chapter 8.

Dr. David Spoon:

You're of your father the devil.

Dr. David Spoon:

And it's weird for people to quote them as though it's some sense of justification to make a single point.

Dr. David Spoon:

It never impresses me when somebody on one news station quotes another news station to validate what they had said.

Dr. David Spoon:

Prior means nothing.

Dr. David Spoon:

Everybody that's a liar, their stuff's not to be received.

Dr. David Spoon:

Don't receive it.

Dr. David Spoon:

Pay no attention.

Dr. David Spoon:

Give it no weight.

Dr. David Spoon:

After this last election, I would think you would know there's a ton of liars out there, isn't there?

Dr. David Spoon:

There sure is a ton of liars.

Dr. David Spoon:

Okay, let's do this.

Dr. David Spoon:

Let's see if you guys can nail this down.

Dr. David Spoon:

We're going to go right into trivia.

Dr. David Spoon:

Here's the trivia question from Jonah.

Dr. David Spoon:

Chapter 1, verse 2.

Dr. David Spoon:

The Lord sent Jonah to preach against what city?

Dr. David Spoon:

The Lord sent Jonah to preach against what city?

Dr. David Spoon:

Jonah, chapter one, verse two.

Dr. David Spoon:

If you think you know the answer, you can reach out to us.

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

That's 214-21-084.

Dr. David Spoon:

Or you can send an email.

Dr. David Spoon:

David must increase.org here's your trivia question.

Dr. David Spoon:

The Lord sent Jonah to preach against which city?

Dr. David Spoon:

Jonah, Chapter one, verse two.

Dr. David Spoon:

If you think you know the answer, reach out to us.

Dr. David Spoon:

In the meantime, I'm going to send you up to the website.

Dr. David Spoon:

Ooh, exciting.

Dr. David Spoon:

On the website, there's a lot of cool stuff.

Dr. David Spoon:

There are places to give.

Dr. David Spoon:

Plus there's also encouraging articles and videos and audios and a lot of other stuff.

Dr. David Spoon:

Do your best.

Dr. David Spoon:

Pray that it's blessed and Let the Lord take care of the rest.

Dr. David Spoon:

2nd Corinthians 9:6:7.

Dr. David Spoon:

The point is this.

Dr. David Spoon:

Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly.

Dr. David Spoon:

Whoever sows bountifully will reap bountifully.

Dr. David Spoon:

Each one must give as he's decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsions.

Dr. David Spoon:

Because God loves a cheerful giver.

Dr. David Spoon:

Yay.

Dr. David Spoon:

If you can't go Yay when you give, just keep it.

Dr. David Spoon:

God actually doesn't need your money, and you don't need giving money with a bad attitude because that's not going to help you in the first place.

Dr. David Spoon:

Check it out on the website.

Dr. David Spoon:

By the way.

Dr. David Spoon:

He must increase.org Prayer Request Praise Report looking to give to this ministry.

Dr. David Spoon:

He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.

Dr. David Spoon:

He must increase.org hemustincrease.org abominable.

Dr. David Spoon:

Can you believe that?

Dr. David Spoon:

Do I look abominable to you?

Dr. David Spoon:

Hey, why can't they call me the Adorable Snowman or the Agreeable Snowman, for crying out loud?

Dr. David Spoon:

I'm a nice guy.

Dr. David Spoon:

Yeah, he's a nice guy.

Dr. David Spoon:

Why call him abominable?

Dr. David Spoon:

That's a good question.

Dr. David Spoon:

All right, here we go.

Dr. David Spoon:

Your trivia question.

Dr. David Spoon:

The Lord sent Jonah to preach against what city?

Dr. David Spoon:

Jonah, chapter one, verse two is your answer.

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

-:

Dr. David Spoon:

Additionally, you can send an email davidcrease.org simple question.

Dr. David Spoon:

The Lord sent Jonah to preach against what city?

Dr. David Spoon:

Jonah, Chapter one, verse two.

Dr. David Spoon:

That is the place that you can get your reference for the question.

Dr. David Spoon:

Now, here's something really, really, really important about the text.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'm going to wait and share that news in the second hour.

Dr. David Spoon:

I've decided.

Dr. David Spoon:

So in this text, after Paul says, hey, don't pay any attention.

Dr. David Spoon:

Don't pay any attention to these people.

Dr. David Spoon:

Don't give them any weight.

Dr. David Spoon:

How you don't take, how you don't listen to somebody, how you silence them is give no weight, no power to their words.

Dr. David Spoon:

And when we give power to people's words, if it's not blessed by the Lord, we're putting ourselves in an extreme disadvantage.

Dr. David Spoon:

Paul says it's necessary to silence them because they are ruining entire households by teaching what they shouldn't in order to get money dishonestly.

Dr. David Spoon:

Wait a minute.

Dr. David Spoon:

In order to get money dishonestly.

Dr. David Spoon:

Where do I kind of remember that from?

Dr. David Spoon:

See, the key in this passage is Paul's teaching.

Dr. David Spoon:

They're ruining entire households and teaching things what they shouldn't in order to get money.

Dr. David Spoon:

That means that these people that are doing all this stuff, it's about the dala.

Dr. David Spoon:

It is.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's about the dollar.

Dr. David Spoon:

And every prophet who speaks in some capacity of empty words and deception is simply trying to pad their wallet.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'm going to tell you something that I wasn't going to share.

Dr. David Spoon:

I'll just share it with you right now.

Dr. David Spoon:

Sometimes when I do the ministry, this is a lot of honesty right here.

Dr. David Spoon:

You're not going to like it, but it's a lot of honesty.

Dr. David Spoon:

Sometimes when I'm doing the ministry, we don't always get like all the money that I think we need just to function.

Dr. David Spoon:

I tell the Lord, if you want me to step down and resign, I will.

Dr. David Spoon:

I don't say that to insult you guys or to insult the Lord.

Dr. David Spoon:

I say it because if you want me doing something else, I'll do it because I just want to do what the Lord wants.

Dr. David Spoon:

I don't really care if he wants me selling popcorn, I want to sell popcorn.

Dr. David Spoon:

If he wants me sweeping street, I want to do that.

Dr. David Spoon:

I want to do what the Lord wants.

Dr. David Spoon:

But when people are trying to pad.

Dr. David Spoon:

When they're trying to get it just for themselves, that's the problem.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's not that it's wrong for ministries to ask for money.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's absurd.

Dr. David Spoon:

Paul does that throughout the Scripture.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's wrong for all that money to be used on the person or their family or all their stuff.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's where it's wrong.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's not wrong to give unto the kingdom of God.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's wrong to use that to further one's own kingdom.

Dr. David Spoon:

And if you really want an unbelievable example, I mean, you can't get anything better than Judas.

Dr. David Spoon:

He's a perfect example.

Dr. David Spoon:

He's complaining about money that could have been given to the poor.

Dr. David Spoon:

When he couldn't care less about the poor, he just cared about his own financial position because he kept the purse.

Dr. David Spoon:

And when the money was coming in there, he was taking it for himself.

Dr. David Spoon:

People that do that in ministry are like Judas.

Dr. David Spoon:

People who do that in the name of God are like Judas.

Dr. David Spoon:

And it's sad.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's a sad thing.

Dr. David Spoon:

I know of a lot of ministries and they're struggling and I pray for them.

Dr. David Spoon:

And we try to give to them just like they try to give to us kind of mentality, and that's genuine and that's sincere.

Dr. David Spoon:

But when somebody's doing it so they can drive just a nicer car Have a better airplane or stay at a better hotel, then there's something wrong.

Dr. David Spoon:

There's something not righteous about that.

Dr. David Spoon:

And when that takes place, and you're dealing with ministers like that, your best job is to pay no attention, walk away, don't worry about it.

Dr. David Spoon:

Don't let them guilt you or manipulate you.

Dr. David Spoon:

I don't ever want anybody in the ministry that we have to be guilted or manipulated.

Dr. David Spoon:

I hate that because it happened to me for so long and I hated it.

Dr. David Spoon:

So what I'm trying to tell you is this.

Dr. David Spoon:

There's a lot of ministers and ministries and people who function that are just trying to pad their wallets.

Dr. David Spoon:

Well, you know what?

Dr. David Spoon:

You're a steward of the most high God.

Dr. David Spoon:

Be a good steward.

Dr. David Spoon:

Make sure to do the examination.

Dr. David Spoon:

Make sure to be aware that those things take place.

Dr. David Spoon:

And if they were taking place:

Dr. David Spoon:

The answer is yes.

Dr. David Spoon:

So keep your eyes open.

Dr. David Spoon:

Sometimes it comes through ministry presentation.

Dr. David Spoon:

Sometimes it comes through this appeal to the heart.

Dr. David Spoon:

Sometimes it comes through other means.

Dr. David Spoon:

Just make sure that what you're doing in your stewardship is before the Lord.

Dr. David Spoon:

And that's what I would tell you always.

Dr. David Spoon:

And don't be manipulated into anything.

Dr. David Spoon:

Okay?

Dr. David Spoon:

All right, cool.

Dr. David Spoon:

All right.

Dr. David Spoon:

Your trivia question, by the way.

Dr. David Spoon:

Well, I think it was a pretty simple question.

Dr. David Spoon:

What city did Jonah.

Dr. David Spoon:

What city was he sent to by the Lord?

Dr. David Spoon:

Jonah, Chapter one, verse two.

Dr. David Spoon:

And the answer is Nineveh.

Dr. David Spoon:

Nineveh.

Dr. David Spoon:

He was sent to Nineveh to preach.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's where he was sent.

Dr. David Spoon:

We'll take a short break and then we'll come back.

Dr. David Spoon:

You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.

Dr. David Spoon:

Short break, we'll be back.

Dr. David Spoon:

Don't go anywhere.

Speaker B:

What is the David Spoon Experience?

Speaker B:

lf on a rocket ship racing at:

Speaker B:

Once there, you can sense the power and the presence of the majestic and the divine.

Speaker B:

You forget about your troubles and your fears and you just float in peace without a worry.

Speaker B:

In the world, there are no struggles, no pain, no discomfort.

Speaker B:

It's soothing, calm, comfortable.

Speaker B:

But then the show starts and you realize that none of that stuff has anything to do with the show.

Speaker B:

What were you thinking?

Speaker B:

The David Spoon Experience.

Speaker B:

Only for the brave of heart and the board.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's right.

Dr. David Spoon:

You guys think all of our jokes have to be, you know, Christian themed.

Dr. David Spoon:

So, okay, so this is a Christian chicken.

Dr. David Spoon:

Yeah.

Dr. David Spoon:

Okay, that'll help you.

Dr. David Spoon:

These are 9, 10 people.

Dr. David Spoon:

The last one is so funny.

Dr. David Spoon:

These are 10 people.

Dr. David Spoon:

Why the chicken crossed the road.

Dr. David Spoon:

Okay?

Dr. David Spoon:

Now these are people you know.

Dr. David Spoon:

Some are political, some are not.

Dr. David Spoon:

Nobody's getting picked on.

Dr. David Spoon:

This is just fun stuff.

Dr. David Spoon:

Nancy Grace.

Dr. David Spoon:

Why the chicken crossed the road.

Dr. David Spoon:

That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty.

Dr. David Spoon:

You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's Nancy Grace.

Dr. David Spoon:

Pat Buchanan.

Dr. David Spoon:

The chicken crossed the road to steal the job of a decent, hard working American.

Dr. David Spoon:

Martha Stewart.

Dr. David Spoon:

No one called to warn me which way the chicken was going.

Dr. David Spoon:

I had a standing order at the fair, at the farmers market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level.

Dr. David Spoon:

No little bird gave me any insider information.

Dr. David Spoon:

This is great.

Dr. David Spoon:

Dr.

Dr. David Spoon:

Seuss, did the chicken cross the road?

Dr. David Spoon:

Did he cross it with a toad?

Dr. David Spoon:

Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed, I've not been told.

Dr. David Spoon:

Okay, this is just an old grandpa.

Dr. David Spoon:

In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road.

Dr. David Spoon:

Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road and that was good enough for us.

Dr. David Spoon:

Donald Trump.

Dr. David Spoon:

We should build a wall so the chicken can't cross the road.

Dr. David Spoon:

That's hilarious.

Dr. David Spoon:

Now, if you don't think this one is funny, I'm going to be very concerned about you.

Dr. David Spoon:

Barbara Walters.

Dr. David Spoon:

Why did chicken cross the road?

Dr. David Spoon:

Isn't that interesting?

Dr. David Spoon:

In a few moments, we'll be listening to the chicken tell for the first time the heartwarming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting and went to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road.

Dr. David Spoon:

Wow.

Dr. David Spoon:

Aristotle.

Dr. David Spoon:

It's the nature of chickens to cross the road.

Dr. David Spoon:

Bill Gates.

Dr. David Spoon:

Let's skip Bill Gates.

Dr. David Spoon:

Just skip it all together, the last two.

Dr. David Spoon:

And you can't tell me these aren't funny.

Dr. David Spoon:

Albert Einstein.

Dr. David Spoon:

Did the chicken really cross the road or did the road move beneath the chicken?

Dr. David Spoon:

That's relativity.

Dr. David Spoon:

And then finally, Colonel Sanders, did I miss one?

Dr. David Spoon:

The David Spoon experience.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.

Just ask him.
