The David Spoon Experience 11-29-23 part 1
A) In Psalm 44:20, the author states, “If we had forgotten the name of our God or stretched our hands to a foreign God, He would surely discover this.” In other words, if we had acted deceitfully or sought deliverance from a source other than the Lord, God would certainly know. He would know whether we cried out to Him first, in the middle, or even last when seeking help. We would be guilty if that were the case.
B) The profound truth is that God knows the secrets of our hearts. He is aware of everything that happens within us - every feeling and thought we have had, have now, or will have in the future. Even those thoughts we believe are hidden are known to Him. There are no hidden corners with God. The goal is not to try and hide these thoughts and feelings but rather to acknowledge them and seek His mercy and grace.
C) Verse 22: Please reference Romans chapter 8:36, which states, “we are like sheep being led to the slaughter.” This is a poignant way of saying that being Christians, believers, 9or worshippers of God does not exempt us from troubles or problems. When Paul writes about this, he follows up with Romans 8:37. However, it should be understood that quoting this passage implies that God’s people will go through trials and struggles.
