The David Spoon Experience 11-28-22 Part 2
1) REMEMBER: JOB’S FRIENDS SHARE TRUTHS BUT WITH THE WRONG ASSUMPTIONS. Please don’t get the impression that we think little of the poor from this show. That’s not true in any fashion. We think little of those who try to equate ALL of Christianity with the poor and skip the God part, the sin part, the faith part, and the eternal life part. The Bible does not permit this. This passage shows the connection between the poor and God’s faithfulness to the poor. Remember Billy Graham’s definition. Remember James 2:5. 2) Consider the joy of those “corrected.” Boy, does this fly in the face of those who define love as ONLY accepting everyone’s everything. If God corrects us, we should be thankful that He cares enough about us to do so. If He doesn’t correct you and me, then we have much more to be concerned about. 3) He will rescue again and again. One of the great definitions of salvation is to be rescued. God will save us again and again. Eternally? No. That’s a one-and-done. But situationally? Absolutely. That is what Hebrews 4:16 is all about. God will never fail to save us in our situations. That’s who He is.
