David Spoon:Got a good question.
David Spoon:You should know this is coming.
David Spoon:We're heading into Thanksgiving.
David Spoon:It's right now, November 27th.
David Spoon:Tomorrow is the 28th.
David Spoon:Here is your question.
David Spoon:Do you give thanks to God every day?
David Spoon:Wait, I'm not done.
David Spoon:And are you also thankful every day?
David Spoon:Because that's not the same thing.
David Spoon:Do you?
David Spoon:Do I?
David Spoon:Do we give thanks to God every day?
David Spoon:And are we thankful every day?
David Spoon:Are we thankful to the Lord?
David Spoon:Is there gratitude in our attitude for God's graciousness?
David Spoon:That is the question there.
David Spoon:If you have a response, if you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question, please don't let it die of loneliness.
David Spoon:Just reach out and give us a call.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Well, by golly, you'll end up talking to Jammin Jacob.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Talking to Jam.
David Spoon:And Jacob is like feeling confident that you have done your very best.
David Spoon:Yay.
David Spoon:Thank you, David.
David Spoon:Happy Wednesday.
David Spoon:Happy Wednesday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:As we gear up, it seems like it's a Friday around here in the studio.
David Spoon:Oh, wait.
David Spoon:You know why that is?
David Spoon:Do you know why it seems like a Friday?
David Spoon:I'm just asking.
David Spoon:Do you understand why?
David Spoon:Do you know why?
David Spoon:Because tomorrow's Thanksgiving and we have a break and then we don't.
David Spoon:We're not here on Friday either.
David Spoon:So it's kind of like Wednesday is Friday, but Friday is Wednesday and Wednesday is Friday and Friday.
David Spoon:Wednesday kind of thing day there.
David Spoon:Right there.
David Spoon:So tomorrow I'm going to be.
David Spoon:I definitely understood everything you said right there.
David Spoon:I know.
David Spoon:You should see.
David Spoon:I got a word salad coming you wouldn't believe anyway.
David Spoon:I don't.
David Spoon:I just want to point out to everybody the great thing about the holiday.
David Spoon:I'm just going to say it real quickly.
David Spoon:The great thing about the holiday.
David Spoon:Hello.
David Spoon:Don't get mad at me.
David Spoon:The Lord gave me this the first year I was in radio.
David Spoon:The great thing about the Thanksgiving holiday is everything that you eat is negative calories.
David Spoon:Nope.
David Spoon:It's the one day.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:Go for it.
David Spoon:Enjoy your life.
David Spoon:Smile, enjoy it.
David Spoon:That's all I'm gonna say to you.
David Spoon:That will be very exciting.
David Spoon:By the way, we do want to wish everybody a very happy Thanksgiving.
David Spoon:And again, we will be praying for family get togethers because I think there is really an important element in witness and in wisdom.
David Spoon:And we know that one of the fruits of the spirit is self control.
David Spoon:And some of us are going to have to exercise a little bit more self control than normal.
David Spoon:Aha.
David Spoon:So we'll get into that.
David Spoon:We do have different things we're going to cover.
David Spoon:I did tell you that you can call us.
David Spoon:We're going to go to the phone in a second.
David Spoon:I do want to remind you, you can also text us.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:So be texting throughout the show because it's fun.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Really fast that those that are really going quickly, see if you can catch up.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:There.
David Spoon:I'll do it again.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Oh, there it is again.
David Spoon:That's the number going really fast.
David Spoon:Here's the number going really slow.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Additionally, you can send an email david.org d a v I d@ hemustincrease.org nonprofit corporation david must increase.org so you can call, you can text, you can email.
David Spoon:We do have somebody on the phone.
David Spoon:Let's give them a chance.
David Spoon:Send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Sergio:Hey, David.
Sergio:Good afternoon, Sergio.
David Spoon:Hello, Sergio, my brother.
David Spoon:How are you?
Sergio:Good.
Sergio:How are you?
David Spoon:I'm doing pretty good.
David Spoon:I'm looking forward to a little bit of football tomorrow, to be honest.
David Spoon:And looking forward to a little bit of relaxation and looking forward to a little bit of pie.
David Spoon:I'm telling you right now.
Sergio:That's a great combination, especially if your team is of relevance right now.
David Spoon:Oh, that's, that's true.
David Spoon:But, but I will still be rooting for the home team where I'm at now.
David Spoon:So I want you to know that I'll be rooting.
David Spoon:I've kept my T shirt alive.
David Spoon:I just want to point that out to you.
David Spoon:How can I help you, my brother?
David Spoon:How can I bless you?
Sergio:Hey, David.
Sergio:I just, I just, I just wanted to share with you that I'm coming to the end of numbers in my, in my BFN practice at home.
Sergio:And so I do have a question, but that'll wait till next week.
Sergio:And I'm knocking on the door of Deuteronomy.
David Spoon:Oh, boy.
David Spoon:That's awesome.
David Spoon:You're going to love.
David Spoon:Let me tell you something right now, okay?
David Spoon:So you can know this, brother.
David Spoon:You're going to love Deuteronomy.
David Spoon:You're going to.
David Spoon:So you've gone through Genesis, a lot of really cool stuff, really opened your eyes.
David Spoon:Exodus, and you get this whole thing about Moses and the nation, Israel, Leviticus, lot of laws, numbers.
David Spoon:A lot of numbers and some history.
David Spoon:But Deuteronomy, brother, I'm telling you right now, you're going to love Deuteronomy.
David Spoon:You're just going to love it.
David Spoon:It's going to be great for you.
Sergio:Yeah, I think so too.
Sergio:I'm actually looking forward to that.
Sergio:But I do have a question for next week, but I'll wait till next week to ask you.
Sergio:But I really wanted to answer your question about giving thanks.
David Spoon:Okay.
Sergio:And it's, it's just, I really wanted to share with you that since I guess make making the turn or, or becoming a Christian or being aware of it, I do give thanks on a daily basis.
Sergio:So, yeah, that, that's, that's, that's my answer to it.
Sergio:And thank you for everything that you do, David.
Sergio:Thank you for your, your, your testimony.
Sergio:It.
Sergio:It really is an inspiration to me personally.
Sergio:And I'm pretty Sure.
Sergio:For everyone else who listens to the radio station and have a great Thanksgiving, I'll hang up and listen.
David Spoon:All right, brother.
David Spoon:Awesome, awesome phone call.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:And very, very happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
David Spoon:All right, so that's our brother, and we love our brother.
David Spoon:And this is the thing about listen about, you know, questions, and you grow.
David Spoon:There's nothing wrong with asking questions.
David Spoon:And that's a big part of growing.
David Spoon:It's like, hey, how does this work?
David Spoon:How does this work?
David Spoon:The disciples asked Jesus questions for three and a half years.
David Spoon:So that's a big part of us growing.
David Spoon:But I want to point out something that was spoken that is so powerful, so powerful by Sergio.
David Spoon:Let me say this.
David Spoon:He said one thing, and I'm telling you right now, if you pick up on this one thing, you'll get it.
David Spoon:When he made the turn, let me tell you something ironically.
David Spoon:When it talks about repentance, and remember when Jesus first, When John the Baptist first preached, his first message was repentance.
David Spoon:When Jesus first taught, his first message was repentance, everybody's thinking, Jesus goes around, goes, love, love, love, love, love.
David Spoon:First thing he said was, repent.
David Spoon:The first message from Peter, repent.
David Spoon:We go into Acts and find out that when Paul was preaching, the first message he gave was repentance.
David Spoon:And to repent doesn't mean to throw ashes in your face alone.
David Spoon:I mean, it can mean that, but it actually means to change or to turn.
David Spoon:And Sergio just said he turned, and that's when it became enlightenment.
David Spoon:And when you and I are going through something and we struggle and we have a little bit of rebellion in us, don't lie about it.
David Spoon:We have a little bit of, like, fight with the Lord.
David Spoon:When we turn, that's when it starts to dawn on us.
David Spoon:That's when we start to figure out, wow, I'm getting it now.
David Spoon:And the light bulb goes off.
David Spoon:In theological terms, they call that illumination.
David Spoon:It's not revelation, because revelation is the giving of the Word.
David Spoon:The illumination is when the light bulb goes off inside your head.
David Spoon:And that's what happens when you turn.
David Spoon:And it's not just on one issue, it's on multiple issues.
David Spoon:And that attitude of being willing to turn, then the Lord pours out his wisdom into you.
David Spoon:And so when we talk with Sergio for next week, and whatever his question is, he's always welcome to ask.
David Spoon:And I want people to be able to do that.
David Spoon:We're not going to do.
David Spoon:It's not just a questions and answers.
David Spoon:So, I mean, I want you to know that but it is available, and it helps people make decisions and to turn to the Lord.
David Spoon:And when that happens, there's an entire element that opens up in the kingdom of God.
David Spoon:Isn't that cool?
David Spoon:That's like, wow.
David Spoon:How great is that?
David Spoon:Actually, that's pretty great.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Thank you, Sergio.
David Spoon:Happy Thanksgiving to you.
David Spoon:Go Dallas.
David Spoon:Go Detroit.
David Spoon:We'll get in that later on.
David Spoon:And thank you, brother.
David Spoon:You've been a superb blessing to multiple people.
David Spoon:You don't even know how many people are blessed when you call in and ask questions.
David Spoon:And you know what?
David Spoon:You don't need to know.
David Spoon:Just keep being yourself.
David Spoon:That's a great way to do it.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, now, going back to what we're talking about.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:You know that you can send an email, David, @HemustIncrease.org why would you do any of that?
David Spoon:Could be just what we heard, just Sergio calling in saying, you know what?
David Spoon:I got this going on.
David Spoon:Got this going on.
David Spoon:But just want to say thank you.
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:That's awesome.
David Spoon:And he's a blessing to us.
David Spoon:So we thank the Lord for Sergio.
David Spoon:I just want to point it out.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a praise report, something the Lord has done, and you want to share it.
David Spoon:And it's like, okie dokie, share it, because let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
David Spoon:And when you do it, it honors God, it blesses people, it encourages yourself, and it's powerful when you speak it.
David Spoon:Remember, the heart believes and then the mouth confesses.
David Spoon:And that's when salvation takes place.
David Spoon:And so there's a combination between that belief and that speaking.
David Spoon:It's very powerful.
David Spoon:And so I want you to catch that when you share, when you bless others, that strengthens in your own life.
David Spoon:It may be that you have a prayer request.
David Spoon:We have needs, and we are going to go to prayer.
David Spoon:We've got a couple of families that are going through it.
David Spoon:And what we do is we don't sit there and say we're going to tell God what to do, or we're going to come to God because he's a genie.
David Spoon:That's not how this goes.
David Spoon:We're going to petition God because he's the king of the universe, and all he has to do is say yes.
David Spoon:And it's a yes.
David Spoon:If you read Jeremiah 17, it says this, if you heal me, I will be healed.
David Spoon:If you save me, I will be saved.
David Spoon:When God does it, it's for sure an absolute.
David Spoon:So we're gonna petition the Lord, the King of the universe, in the name of Jesus Christ, with help from the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:We're gonna offer up a seed of faith.
David Spoon:We're going to try and push all doubt out.
David Spoon:As I was praying today, this was an amazing thing.
David Spoon:So there's a great worship song called Waymaker.
David Spoon:Most people know that song.
David Spoon:You know it pretty well.
David Spoon:That's cool.
David Spoon:But while I was praying and I was talking to the Lord, I'd really done.
David Spoon:I mean, God is a moment maker.
David Spoon:Listen to that.
David Spoon:He's a moment maker.
David Spoon:He makes the moment.
David Spoon:Isn't that cool?
David Spoon:I just love stuff like that.
David Spoon:You should have seen me laughing with the Lord.
David Spoon:I said, probably can't copyright that, huh, Lord?
David Spoon:Anyway, my point in telling you all this is we're going to petition, we're going to pray, and we're going to have faith.
David Spoon:And if you've got something that needs prayer, then bring it and let's pray about it.
David Spoon:Let's join one another's struggle, and we'll do that by praying for one another.
David Spoon: Romans: David Spoon:So our prayers right now are gonna be directed in this way.
David Spoon:So we have Rosalynn and Robert, who are going through a lot of trials, going through a lot of tough things, being challenged on a regular basis.
David Spoon:Plus Angelina, their mom, is going through her own trial.
David Spoon:So as a family, they're going through a quite a large amount of struggle.
David Spoon:And then Joanne and Cordelia's sister, Yulina, she's going through physical trouble.
David Spoon:She's was not feeling good.
David Spoon:She was sick.
David Spoon:They were taking her to the hospital.
David Spoon:They wanted to bring her for Thanksgiving.
David Spoon:So we're going to pray for healing power.
David Spoon:We're going to pray for order and disorder.
David Spoon:We're going to pray for grace, and we're going to pray for wisdom for every one of us who can hear my voice.
David Spoon:Dealing with family and for witness and that God would help us.
David Spoon:Let's bring it to the Lord in prayer.
David Spoon:If you're driving, don't close your eyes.
David Spoon:Thank you, but offer up your faith.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:We thank you, we praise you, we magnify your name first.
David Spoon:We thank our God.
David Spoon:We offer up Thanksgiving, and we are thankful for the things that take place.
David Spoon:We don't even understand everything, but we trust you that you are working all things, causing all things to work.
David Spoon:Together for good in our lives.
David Spoon:And we lift our praise, lift the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to you, saying, yes, Lord.
David Spoon:Yes, Lord, you are mighty.
David Spoon:You are awesome.
David Spoon:Thank you, Lord.
David Spoon:And so we lift up Robert and Rosalynn, a part of our fellowship here, and we are asking you to protect them.
David Spoon:They keep going through trials.
David Spoon:They get through one, another one pops up.
David Spoon:They get through one, another one pops up.
David Spoon:Put a hedge about them.
David Spoon:Put a protection about them.
David Spoon:You.
David Spoon:You mentioned that in your word in the book of Job.
David Spoon:Put a protection around them and help Angelina in her situation so that it can get resolved.
David Spoon:Because, Lord, these.
David Spoon:These things that come against them are tearing at their family.
David Spoon:They're tearing at their joy, and we want them to have the fullness of joy which is in your presence.
David Spoon:And these are distractions, and we come against that.
David Spoon:In the name of Jesus and Lord, we pray for you and Joanne and Cordelia and their whole family.
David Spoon:We pray for healing power, Lord.
David Spoon:We need your healing power.
David Spoon:If you heal her, she will be healed.
David Spoon:And we ask you to bring that healing power into her life right now.
David Spoon:Whatever it is, Lord, just get rid of it.
David Spoon:Take it out.
David Spoon:You're the creator of the body.
David Spoon:You're the creator of mankind.
David Spoon:Pour your power into Elena's life.
David Spoon:Let her have freedom from this physical oppression, and let them be able to have a wonderful Thanksgiving, a phenomenal Thanksgiving as a family.
David Spoon:We lift them up to you, and, Lord, we lift up the audience who are going into family situations.
David Spoon:We're praying for wisdom and for witness, Lord.
David Spoon:Not that we have to always be right in a conversation, but we always have to reflect you, Jesus, in a conversation.
David Spoon:So give us that, Lord.
David Spoon:Give us that wisdom.
David Spoon:Give us that witness.
David Spoon:Give us that ability to love.
David Spoon:We don't have to deny anything, but we don't have to be obnoxious, either.
David Spoon:Help us to walk the right line with family to be a blessing, but to stand for truth and reflect your image, Jesus, and bless our audience.
David Spoon:I just ask you to bless them.
David Spoon:They've been such a blessing to me.
David Spoon:Thank you for them and pour yourself upon them and your graciousness upon them.
David Spoon:In Jesus name, amen and amen.
David Spoon:All right, so this first part of the show didn't go the way I thought it was going to go, which is par for the course.
David Spoon:So just because of that, we will.
David Spoon:First, we'll start off with right now a trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's see if you guys can get this.
David Spoon:All these trivia questions have to do with Luke.
David Spoon:I am your father, Luke.
David Spoon:No, not that thing.
David Spoon:Luke.
David Spoon:What was Luke's profession?
David Spoon:Colossians, chapter 4, verse 14.
David Spoon:What was Luke's profession?
David Spoon:Colossians, chapter 4th, verse 14.
David Spoon:If you think you know, you can call the show.
David Spoon:It's easy.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or you can send an email.
David Spoon:David must increase.org that's David must increase.org wow.
David Spoon:Okay, now I'm going to send you up to the website.
David Spoon:I do have news.
David Spoon:Okay, we listen to the news.
David Spoon:We listen to the news.
David Spoon:Did pay radio rent.
David Spoon:Hallelujah.
David Spoon:Hallelujah.
David Spoon:We did pay radio rent.
David Spoon:Thank you, everybody.
David Spoon:That helps.
David Spoon:But we're still asking for giving because we're always asking for giving, because that's what we do.
David Spoon:Check it out on the website.
David Spoon:If you want to give, great.
David Spoon:If you don't, not a problem.
David Spoon:Pray for us.
David Spoon:Luke 6:38.
David Spoon:Give.
David Spoon:It will be given to you.
David Spoon:Press down, shaken together, running over.
David Spoon:Will be put into your lap for the measure you use.
David Spoon:It will be measured back to you.
David Spoon:And every person that gave right up to today contributed to us paying that rent.
David Spoon:So thank you, everybody.
David Spoon:And if you give, it's up to the Lord.
David Spoon:It's between you and the Lord, and we ask him to bless you in that process.
David Spoon:Check it out on the website.
David Spoon:He must increase.org prayer request, praise report looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org hemustincrease.org as a duly designated representative of the city, I order you to cease any and all supernatural activity and return forthwith to your place of origin or to the nearest convenient parallel dimension.
David Spoon:Yeah, I was just thinking that about my dog when he was barking this morning while I was trying to read my Bible.
David Spoon:Anyway, we'll just move on.
David Spoon:We do have somebody that is ready to answer a trivia question.
David Spoon:So let's go ahead and send them through.
David Spoon:Knock knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
JD:Dr.
JD:David, good afternoon.
JD:This is JD.
David Spoon:Hey, JD.
David Spoon:How are you, brother?
JD:I'm doing fantastic, thank you.
JD:Fantastic.
David Spoon:Awesome, awesome.
David Spoon:You gotta tell people what BIC means.
David Spoon:They need to know.
David Spoon:I've already explained it.
David Spoon:But I want you to explain it.
David Spoon:You got to tell them what is a bic?
JD:Similar to what sick means.
JD:Sister in Christ or brother in Christ.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:Brother In Christ or sister?
David Spoon:In Christ.
David Spoon:That's it.
David Spoon:Excellent job, by the way, jd.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:You ready for the Triv?
JD:Well, this is coincidental because I went for my annual checkup today and I wanted to praise the young lady that took my blood.
David Spoon:That's so funny.
JD:I didn't feel it.
JD:She took my blood and said, okay, get ready.
JD:Yeah.
JD:And then she lied to me when she pulled it out, said, this is going to sting.
JD:Did not feel a thing.
David Spoon:Wow.
JD:Amazing.
David Spoon:That's amazing.
JD:And it's coincidental that that's what Luke was.
JD:He was a doctor.
David Spoon:He was a doctor.
David Spoon:And what we want to say, let's give the ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Now, I'm not going to get overly technical, but if people go to the website, you will see under articles.
David Spoon:I do make a distinction that Luke was actually physician, because actually the word doctor came about in the 13th century for theologians.
David Spoon:That's where the birth of that word is.
David Spoon:So he was technically a physician, but we understand him as a doctor.
David Spoon:So that's not a problem.
JD:Okay, thank you.
David Spoon:No problem.
David Spoon:I spent a lot of time working on that doctorate, so I had to say it.
David Spoon:It was a requirement from me.
David Spoon:I don't know.
JD:And he did exceptionally well.
David Spoon:Thank you, brother.
David Spoon:No, excellent job.
David Spoon:And it's just, you're blessed and we appreciate you and we want you to have a phenomenal Thanksgiving.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Have a phenomenal Thanksgiving.
JD:You, too, my friend.
JD:Bless you.
David Spoon:God bless you.
David Spoon:Bye.
David Spoon:Bye.
JD:Bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:So it's just great, Isn't that not just great?
David Spoon:Don't you love stuff?
David Spoon:Now, listen, we're not going to get to the teaching I was going to do, but that's okay, because the next teaching is really, really, really good.
David Spoon:We were going to do Psalm 58.
David Spoon:I'm going to challenge you to check that out between now and next week, because you're going to find out in Psalm 58, it's about corrupt judges.
David Spoon:What does that sound like?
David Spoon:What's going on around this country?
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Only it's been going around, going for about 3,000 years.
David Spoon:So don't be too caught off guard.
David Spoon:Here's the one thing I want to tell you.
David Spoon:I want to tell you that sometimes we get into a place where things don't look like the way we think they should look, that things happen in our lives that we think, man, I wish this had gone different, or I wish it had gone a different way.
David Spoon:And I want you to understand something.
David Spoon:Even though you go through that God's Love for you and I is so intense, it's so deep that the things that we can't even understand, and I mean can't understand them, he is weaving for his purposes in your life.
David Spoon:If you really want a reason to be thankful on a regular basis, if you really want a solid understanding, it's that God has put up with us and past that works for our benefit on our behalf, to take all of these things that we consider good, bad, or indifferent, and in the end, make them shine.
David Spoon:We don't always understand it.
David Spoon:We rarely understand the process, let's be honest.
David Spoon:But what he asks of us is to trust Him.
David Spoon:What he asks of us is to put our trust in him and that he will bring things to pass, he promises.
David Spoon:In fact, he even compares us in Jeremiah 17, Jeremiah 17, 8, 9.
David Spoon:Just read it.
David Spoon:He compares us to a tree.
David Spoon:And in that he says the tree does not have to worry even in a year of drought.
David Spoon:That's what he compares us to.
David Spoon:You don't have to worry even when it seems like it's a drought, because God will feed you.
David Spoon:He will keep your leaves green.
David Spoon:He will continue to watch over you and protect you.
David Spoon:You don't have to know everything.
David Spoon:You have to know him who knows everything and trust him, because everything he does is because he loves you.
David Spoon:That should be good enough right there, right?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, folks, we are going to take our break here.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:Galatians, chapter 5, verse 1.
David Spoon:This is one of the first verses in my Christian faith that I learned, which is, you know, you don't think about it, but when I first became a Christian, people would share this verse with me.
David Spoon:I didn't know why.
David Spoon:I was gonna find out why, because God was gonna set me free from a lot of drug use.
David Spoon:But I didn't know then what was going on.
David Spoon:I was like, oh, I keep hearing this verse.
David Spoon:Galatians, chapter 5, verse 1.
David Spoon:The freedom for freedom.
David Spoon:Christ has set us free.
David Spoon:Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
David Spoon:So now in our society, you say the word slavery and people start going.
David Spoon:And then everybody starts freaking out.
David Spoon:You know what?
David Spoon:We're never going to change what the gospel is.
David Spoon:And the gospel is the reality, the truth.
David Spoon:We're not going to alter culture.
David Spoon:We're not going to say it differently, so people aren't offended.
David Spoon:If you're offended, turn the Radio off.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:That's your answer.
David Spoon:You got fingers, use them.
David Spoon:You got the ability to turn it on.
David Spoon:You got the ability to turn it off.
David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:Every one of us.
David Spoon:Every one of us before Jesus Christ was in bondage to sin.
David Spoon:Every one of us, now that we are in Jesus Christ, we are free from the penalty of that sin, and the Lord is working in us the process to overcome that sin.
David Spoon:Practically, we've talked about it multiple times.
David Spoon:You understand salvation from a little bit of a, you know, smart, not smart, multiple scripture point of view.
David Spoon:Scriptures talk about salvation being past tense.
David Spoon:Scripture talks about salvation being present tense, and Scripture talks about salvation being future tense.
David Spoon:The only way that could happen is if.
David Spoon:Watch this.
David Spoon:Salvation is past tense, present tense, and future tense.
David Spoon:See, the only way it can happen is because that's what it says.
David Spoon:And so in that, we need to understand that from the past point of view, we are free from the penalty of sin.
David Spoon:Yay.
David Spoon:Currently, we're going through what is called sanctification, where we're being delivered.
David Spoon:We're delivered from the power of sin, and we're learning in our own lives.
David Spoon:We don't have to live for sin.
David Spoon:And then eventually, when we're with the Lord forever and ever, we will be free from the presence of sin, and there won't be any evil, any bad, any yucky.
David Spoon:Okay, cool.
David Spoon:In the meantime, while the justification, while the penalty for sin is done, while the freedom is there, the sanctification process is the one where he makes you look like Jesus now that he's pronounced you to be like Jesus.
David Spoon:And that's the one you got to fight through.
David Spoon:That's the one that you have to go, you know what?
David Spoon:I'm free.
David Spoon:I just don't have to do that.
David Spoon:I don't have to.
David Spoon:That, therefore, becomes a responsibility, because the Scripture says, stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.
David Spoon:Which means that you can, but if you do, it'll be your choice.
David Spoon:The David Spoon experience.
