The David Spoon Experience 11-21-22 Part 2
REMEMBER: JOB’S FRIENDS SHARE TRUTHS BUT WITH THE WRONG ASSUMPTIONS. Here is an undeniable truth from Eliphaz: Resentment destroys fools. It’s not that resentment is okey-dokey for the wise. That is a complete misunderstanding of the principle. Fools believe there is no God. And fools hold on to resentment. Like a cancer, the root of bitterness will grow inside a person and destroy them. So, Hebrews 12:15 “warns” the Christian: See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Even bitterness towards God. 2) Sticking with the principle of fools, we need to address what Jesus said about calling someone a fool. How can we quote “the fool has said in his heart” (Psalm 14:1) without getting in trouble with Jesus? Over 120 references for a fool and fools. By the way. Here is the ticket: The supplements. 3) Turning from God may produce success…for a season. But seasons pass. And so does success. And so does life. There is still a toll to pay. And even if it’s all the way at the end, the price will be extracted in the Great Judgment: one way or another. Hebrews 11:25 states, Choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. The result of sin is death. The end result of sin is eternal separation from God.
