Understanding the Dark Side of Sin: Insights from Romans
Join David Spoon as he delves into the profound implications of sin, emphasizing that it is not merely a collection of wrongdoings but a living entity that feeds off our rebellion against God. He explores the critical message from Romans, where Paul articulates how sin exploits the law to provoke forbidden desires, leading to spiritual death. Through personal anecdotes and engaging dialogue, David reflects on his own journey from rebellion to redemption, highlighting the transformative power of Jesus Christ. Listeners will find encouragement in understanding that while we struggle with sin, God's grace offers forgiveness and the path to healing. This engaging discussion invites all to confront their relationship with sin and embrace the hope found in a life devoted to the Lord.
A highlight of the David Spoon Experience is its candid approach to discussing the nature of sin and the path to redemption. Spoon emphasizes that understanding sin's power and its consequences is essential for spiritual maturity. He breaks down Paul's teachings, particularly focusing on how sin takes advantage of the law to lead us into condemnation. This episode is not just a theological lecture; it's a heartfelt invitation to listeners to reflect on their own lives and the sins that may be weighing them down. Spoon shares personal stories that illustrate his journey of faith, including moments of struggle and victory, which resonate with anyone grappling with their own imperfections. The blend of scriptural analysis with personal narrative creates a meaningful exploration of faith that encourages listeners to seek God's help in overcoming sin. Moreover, Spoon's call to action—praying for strength, seeking forgiveness, and striving to live in alignment with God's will—serves as a powerful reminder of the hope and transformation available through a relationship with Jesus.

And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's experience.
David Spoon:It's totally terrific, totally transforming.
David Spoon:Hey, totally triumphant Tuesday as we find unity from the Father through the Son and by the Holy Spirit, all for the glory of God almighty.
David Spoon:First, we step into a very interesting part of the book of Romans.
David Spoon:As we pick it up in verse, chapter seven, verse eight, Paul says that sin took advantage of the law.
David Spoon:Now listen, that is a striking statement.
David Spoon:When he says that sin aroused all kinds of forbidden desires inside of him, that's striking.
David Spoon:It's critical for you and me to understand something about sin.
David Spoon:And you might not like it.
David Spoon:I certainly don't.
David Spoon:But it doesn't matter.
David Spoon:Sin is a living entity that feeds upon our rebellion towards God.
David Spoon:Sin has an appetite.
David Spoon:Whoa.
David Spoon:Next, in the realization of God's truth and our own sin, we understand within ourselves that we are doomed to die because the penalty for that sin in us is death.
David Spoon:Because we've broken the law and we have sinned, now we come to realize that we deserve death.
David Spoon:It's just an inevitability.
David Spoon:It's just a response to our wickedness.
David Spoon:That's the argument Paul's laying out.
David Spoon:The bottom line, of course, is there's just no eternal life apart from Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:So finally, in verse 13, Paul says that sin used what was good to bring about this condemnation.
David Spoon:It used God's commandments.
David Spoon:Sin did for its own evil purposes.
David Spoon:That's just what he says.
David Spoon:I'm not sure we understand the fullness of how dark and evil sin really is, but the result of sin and its activity is death.
David Spoon:So maybe that's a good place to start our understanding of how evil sin really is.
David Spoon:Hold on to your hats because here we go.

David Spoon:Jammin Jacob is the David Spoon experience professional radio?
Jammin Jacob:No, it is not David.
David Spoon:All right, good job, mister dignitary.
David Spoon:Very, very good job.
Jammin Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jammin Jacob:Thank you.
David Spoon:You are welcome.
David Spoon:Okay, bottom line, it's not professional radio.
David Spoon:It's just radio.
David Spoon:So relax.

David Spoon:So you can email us during the show and that's cool.
David Spoon:We like that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:You're welcome to email us during the show.
David Spoon:Try not to say too many nasty things.
David Spoon:That'd be good.
David Spoon:David mustincrease.org that's david@hemustincrease.org dot.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Talking to jam and Jacob is like sharing a cheat meal on your diet with your favorite person.
Jammin Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jammin Jacob:Happy Tuesday and welcome back from a well, not really a day off yesterday, but a day not being here.
David Spoon:A day not being here.
David Spoon:That's the kind of day it was yesterday.
David Spoon:Thank you, my brother.
David Spoon:Let me just ask you real quickly.
David Spoon:I didn't get a chance to ask you yesterday because I wasn't here in regards to the weekend.
David Spoon:Anything special?
David Spoon:Any special kind of food?
Jammin Jacob:I did have grilled chicken last night while watching the Saints and Kansas City Chiefs games.
Jammin Jacob:So I had some grilled chicken which was good.
David Spoon:That's nice.
David Spoon:That's very good.
David Spoon:I had low calorie peanut butter and chocolate ice cream.
David Spoon:I don't know.
Jammin Jacob:Something that's always a guarantee is something to do with peanut butter.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Somehow it will always be there.
David Spoon:I know some people have an allergy to it.
David Spoon:I have an allergy.
David Spoon:Nothing to it.
David Spoon:See how that works?
Jammin Jacob:Do you ever just take like a, just a cup of peanut butter and just eat it as just peanut butter?
David Spoon:I will not answer under the law schematic that I might indict myself as how many times I've done it.
David Spoon:Not have I done it.
David Spoon:I do not want to even answer that question.
David Spoon:And I will not answer that.
David Spoon:I've taken peanut butter and slapped a piece of chocolate on it together by itself without doing a Reese's and also ate it that way.
David Spoon:I am gill and t both of.
Jammin Jacob:Those like the what's it the Tootsie pop filler.
Jammin Jacob:How many, how many times does David eat peanut butter?
Jammin Jacob:The world will never know.
David Spoon:The world will never know.
David Spoon:Exactly.
David Spoon:All right, here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:Why would you call us?
David Spoon:Why would you text us and why would you, in fact, email us?
David Spoon:It could be for a praise report because we love to hear him.
David Spoon:It could be for prayer requests because we believe prayer works.
David Spoon:And it also can just be because you just, in your heart, you just have something you want to share.
David Spoon:You got a scripture, the Lord's giving you some kind of comfort, wisdom, insight, whatever the case may be awesome.
David Spoon:We think it's phenomenal.
David Spoon:We also have the opportunity for you to do Bible trivia.
David Spoon:Let's see if you guys can get this one.
David Spoon:If you don't get this one, the show is going to shut down.
David Spoon:That's that.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Cain, Abel and Sethe?
David Spoon:Who was the father of Cain, Abel and Seth?
David Spoon:Genesis four one through two.
David Spoon:Sometimes when we come back on a Monday, we make it a little easier on purpose.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Cain, Abel and Seth?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:The reference Genesis four one two.
David Spoon:I will not tell you what Al wrote, but it was very funny.
David Spoon:We'll just leave it there.
David Spoon:I do want you to be aware.
David Spoon:You are welcome to reach out to us and answer this trivia question.
David Spoon:One other thing I did not mention, so I did mention, by the way, we already prayed for the people in North Carolina and Florida.
David Spoon:Keep praying for them.
David Spoon:I do want you to be aware, we're aware of scratchy Internet.
David Spoon:We understand there's a search engine at the bottom of the front page just for the website.
David Spoon:It's only going to go through the website, nothing else.
David Spoon:And one thing we added to the website, I already told you about the bumper sticker, the cool bumper sticker, rainbow bumper sticker.
David Spoon:That's about halfway through.
David Spoon:They're not available yet, but we're going to be working on that.
David Spoon:Takes a little time.
David Spoon:I got a lot of stuff I'm doing, but we also have gotten permission as of yesterday.
David Spoon:Now I'm going to be careful how I say this, but everybody knows the political season is increasing four weeks from today.
David Spoon:Between now and four weeks from today, people will be voting.
David Spoon:You should vote as the Lord pours it upon your heart.
David Spoon:And if the government doesn't like us saying that, too bad.
David Spoon:You should vote Bible.
David Spoon:Because God is able to create the universe.
David Spoon:He's able to write a book.
David Spoon:So let's keep that simple.
David Spoon:Go with God in your wisdom and your decisions.
David Spoon:And in lieu of that, because we think the whole thing's more humorous than people will confess to.
David Spoon:Babylon be a satirical site that does many, many things.
David Spoon:If you're offended, don't ever do it.
David Spoon:But they have given me, personally, permission on our website to have a link on our website for people that just want to laugh about the politics.
David Spoon:It's on the middle of the website, says Babylon be all the fake news you can trust.
David Spoon:They have given me personally, our ministry, permission to discuss a few of their articles and also to have a link on the website.
David Spoon:And you're thinking, why?
David Spoon:And I'll tell you why.
David Spoon:Because it makes me laugh.
David Spoon:And I'm getting real tired of everything that's on the news that's trying to make me cry or get angry.
David Spoon:I want to laugh more.
David Spoon:A merry heart doesn't make like medicine.
David Spoon:There is enough going on.
David Spoon:So we have a link to them with permission from them.
David Spoon:If you don't like them, don't go there.
David Spoon:But if you do go there and you do enjoy their material, sign up.
David Spoon:They got a cool little system and they got some really funny stuff.
David Spoon:And I like their stuff.
David Spoon:So I'm just telling you.
David Spoon:All right, in the meantime, your trivia question again.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Cain, Abel and Seth?
David Spoon:Genesis, chapter four, verses one through two.
David Spoon:In the meantime, we'll do our DNA.
David Spoon:D stands for draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:So I'm just curious, just curious how often daily might be.
David Spoon:I'm thinking.
David Spoon:What do you think?
Jammin Jacob:I'm thinking it's every day, David.
David Spoon:All right, that's a great answer.
David Spoon:Daily means every day.
Jammin Jacob:You are correctamundo.
David Spoon:Correctamundo, sir.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:D.
David Spoon:And never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of what Jesus had to say.
David Spoon:Remember Jesus?
David Spoon:His title is the word of God.
David Spoon:John, chapter one, verse one through two.
David Spoon:Don't tell that to people who don't know Jesus.
David Spoon:They won't have a clue what you're talking about.
David Spoon:But the bottom line is Jesus is the word of God.
David Spoon:And so never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:That's the n.
David Spoon:And then a.
David Spoon:So, d.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:And never be ashamed of Jesus.
David Spoon:Or his words.
David Spoon:A.
David Spoon:Always be ready.
Jammin Jacob:To serve.
David Spoon:To serve.
David Spoon:You're ready.
David Spoon:You ready?
David Spoon:What if the Lord wants you to say something great?
David Spoon:What if he wants you to pray about something great?
David Spoon:What if he wants you to smile great text, smile, whatever, doesn't matter.
David Spoon:Just ready.
David Spoon:In case the Lord wants to do something and you are available, you're not so consumed.
David Spoon:And this is the problem I have.
David Spoon:I get so consumed in what I think is important.
David Spoon:Like I might be thinking show prep's important or getting the doing the interview, by the way, the interview with Randy Stonehell next week because you're going to be traveling this week.
David Spoon:But anyway, I get so caught up in these things that I do not make myself as available to the Lord.
David Spoon:It's not just thinking spiritually.
David Spoon:It's being aware that the Lord may want to use you in a moment.
David Spoon:And it's a lot of growing up as a Christian, and I encourage everybody to do it.
David Spoon:I'm trying to do it.
David Spoon:I hope you do it with me.
David Spoon:D draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A.
David Spoon:Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:Got that?
David Spoon:Okay, your trivia question.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Cain, Abel and Seth?
David Spoon:Genesis, chapter four, verse one through two.
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer, you can reach out to us.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:And before we pick it up right at verse eight because we're technically supposed to be picking it up at verse eight, I just want to key in on something that's really, really important.
David Spoon:And Paul said this in verse seven.
David Spoon:So I don't want you to, I guess, miss this.
David Spoon:And this is kind of a real critical element.
David Spoon:Okay, he says this.
David Spoon:Well, then am I suggesting the law of God is evil?
David Spoon:Of course not.
David Spoon:The law is not sinful.
David Spoon:But it was the law that showed me my sin.
David Spoon:I would never have known that coveting was wrong if the law had not said, do not coven, coven, covenant.
David Spoon:Sorry.
David Spoon:Verse eight.
David Spoon:But sin took advantage of the law and aroused all kinds of forbidden desires within me.
David Spoon:If there was no law, sin would not have had that power.
David Spoon:Here's what I want you to understand.
David Spoon:I want you to not miss what the very first part of verse eight says.
David Spoon:It's super, super theologically important.
David Spoon:One thing we do on this show is teach whatever is in front of us, preach whatever is in front of us, reach whatever is in front of us.
David Spoon:Here's what's in front of us.
David Spoon:Sin took advantage.
David Spoon:Now people think of sin as something.
David Spoon:It's just something we've done wrong.
David Spoon:And because it's something that we've done wrong, it's kind of like a bad principle.
David Spoon:I'm not convinced that is the theology of sin.
David Spoon:And I can take mine all the way back to Cain and Abel, where God said to Cain that sin wants to take advantage of you.
David Spoon:You must master it.
David Spoon:Sin has an appetite.
David Spoon:It's hungry, and it takes advantage of people that step into it.
David Spoon:In other words, when we do something, that sin, anything contrary to God, not just hamatiar, which is the greek word, to miss the mark, but sin is anything that's contrary to God, not anything God allows anything contrary to goddess.
David Spoon:Anything that we engage in that's contrary to God feeds the entity of sin.
David Spoon:Sin is the open door for Satan.
David Spoon:Remember when Jesus said, the prince of this world is coming?
David Spoon:He has nothing in me.
David Spoon:That's what he's talking about.
David Spoon:You see, when we sin, whether you want to call it that or not, I could care less.
David Spoon:That's what God calls it.
David Spoon:We have an opening, and we have fed sin as an entity.
David Spoon:And Satan's access point against us has to do with that sin that we operate in.
David Spoon:Does that mean that you're not saved?
David Spoon:No, it just means that we're giving up ground in a walk with Jesus that we don't have to.
David Spoon:It means that we're getting deceived, we're getting sideswiped, we're getting.
David Spoon:It's like shenanigans on us because sin is taking advantage of us.
David Spoon:Sin has an appetite.
David Spoon:It must be overcome by the blood of Jesus Christ, by the power and dreaming power from God.
David Spoon:But God is trying to communicate to you and I.
David Spoon:Sin is hungry.
David Spoon:It's looking for consumption in our lives.
David Spoon:It's kind of like our sin gives it energy.
David Spoon:And when we give sin energy in life, we give Satan open opportunities.
David Spoon:That's how serious this is.
David Spoon:Let me explain something to you.
David Spoon:If the result of sin is death, I mean, for mankind, how serious is this?
David Spoon:It's not a joke.
David Spoon:It will separate people from God for all eternity.
David Spoon:That's how serious it is.
David Spoon:That's pretty serious.
David Spoon:No possibility once it's over.
David Spoon:Once you're in there, it's over.
David Spoon:There's no buying your way or saying your way out once it's done, that's serious.
David Spoon:It doesn't matter who you are.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:Who was the father of Cain, Abel and Seth, the Adam.
David Spoon:The Adam is the answer or Adam is the answer?
David Spoon:The atom is the answer.
David Spoon:You like that?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, we're going to take our break and then we're going to come back.
David Spoon:You are listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon Experience Promo:What is the David Spoon experience?
David Spoon Experience Promo:Imagine yourself on a rocket ship racing at a thousand miles an hour into space.
David Spoon Experience Promo:Once there, you can sense the power and the presence of the majestic and the divine.
David Spoon Experience Promo:You forget about your troubles and your fears, and you just float in peace without a worry in the world.
David Spoon Experience Promo:There are no struggles, no pain, no discomfort.
David Spoon Experience Promo:It's soothing, calm, comfortable.
David Spoon Experience Promo:But then the show starts and you realize that none of that stuff has anything to do with the show.
David Spoon Experience Promo:What were you thinking?
David Spoon Experience Promo:The David Spoon experience.
David Spoon Experience Promo:Only for the brave of heart and the bored.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon experience?
David Spoon:So the situation for the woman turned out to be fine.
David Spoon:But remember, he's there with Jerius, and Jairus daughter is dying.
David Spoon:Verse 35.
David Spoon:While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader, and said, your daughter is dead.
David Spoon:Why bother the teacher anymore over hearing what they said?
David Spoon:Jesus told him, don't be afraid.
David Spoon:Just believe this is a situation for Jairus that went from worse to the worst.
David Spoon:You know how we said it can go from bad to worse?
David Spoon:We were talking about that.
David Spoon:Well, it can go from bad to worse to the worst.
David Spoon:And this is the worst.
David Spoon:The guy's daughter died.
David Spoon:Oh, she wasn't just really say she died dead.
David Spoon:And they even said to her, what?
David Spoon:There's no point in talking to this guy anymore.
David Spoon:This is over.
David Spoon:Situation done.
David Spoon:That's how a lot of us process situation done.
David Spoon:But then Jesus does what Jesus does because he's so amazing.
David Spoon:He overheard what they said to him.
David Spoon:They didn't say it to Jesus.
David Spoon:They said to the guy.
David Spoon:They said it to Jairus.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:And they said to him, why bother the teacher anymore?
David Spoon:Overhearing what they said Jesus said to jurist, don't be afraid.
David Spoon:Just believe.
David Spoon:There are three things that you just, you can't miss this.
David Spoon:Number one, Jesus is telling the guy whose daughter just died, ignore them.
David Spoon:It's like, can you imagine?
David Spoon:Okay, the doctor just pronounced her dead.
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:Ignore that guy.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:He's the doctor.
David Spoon:Ignore that guy.
David Spoon:That's just like the blind men who are like, people are telling him, be quiet, stop and stop.
David Spoon:And he shouts out all the more.
David Spoon:It's at some point you just got to ignore any external noise that hasn't been sanctioned by God and just go.
David Spoon:I'm not paying attention to that.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAAM, 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k double amen 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Getting ready for your next trivia question.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Esau and Jacob?
David Spoon:Who was the father of Esau and Jacob?
David Spoon:Genesis 25, verses 25 through 28.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Esau and Jacob?
David Spoon:Genesis 25 25 through 28.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Genesis 25 25 through 28.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Now, don't forget I told you at the bottom of the front page, there's a search engine that's just for the website.
David Spoon:Also on the website, there is a place, there's a couple of books there.
David Spoon:If you want one of those books and you can't afford it, tell us.
David Spoon:We will get that for you.
David Spoon:No problem.
David Spoon:We do know the Internet's a little scratchy.
David Spoon:Hang in there for that.
David Spoon:I do also want you to be aware that after we take probably this caller, we're going to be doing Jake's take.
David Spoon:But I'm doing that because I can.
David Spoon:We'll get to that in a second.
David Spoon:Let's see.
David Spoon:Somebody ready to answer the trivia question?
David Spoon:Are they ready?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Caller George:George.
David Spoon:George, how are you doing?
Caller George:Great, man.
Caller George:How are you doing?
David Spoon:I'm doing phenomenal.
David Spoon:I'm doing just wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
David Spoon:Thank you for asking.
David Spoon:I appreciate that.
David Spoon:Are you ready for it?
David Spoon:I'll set the trivia question up and then you can answer it.
David Spoon:Okay, I'm ready for it.
David Spoon:Let's go.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Esau and Jacob?
Caller George:That would be Isaac.
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Amundessa.
David Spoon:You are right.
David Spoon:He was the father.
David Spoon:That's a.
David Spoon:You know, people read about it and you go through the Genesis portion and you recognize some of the families, maybe not fully functional, maybe a little dysfunctional.
David Spoon:They, like, put the fun in dysfunctional because it's like that one parent going, I like this cat.
David Spoon:The other parent going, I like this kid.
David Spoon:And it's like everybody knew everybody knew.
David Spoon:Yikes.
Caller George:I had to say.
Caller George:I had to say it to myself really quick.
Caller George:By the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Caller George:I had to say it really fast like that.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:Well, that's a great way to remember it.
David Spoon:So.
David Spoon:It's an excellent job, sir.
David Spoon:Very, very good.
David Spoon:Really appreciate it.
David Spoon:All right, my brother.
David Spoon:God bless.
David Spoon:Anything else you got good.
David Spoon:You need prayer?
Caller George:No, that's it.
Caller George:I'm just glad I got through a lot of times.
Caller George:I'll call in the trivia, knocking in.
Caller George:So this is my first.
Caller George:We love you.
David Spoon:Well, welcome on aboard.
David Spoon:You call anytime.
David Spoon:You are welcome to call you here.
Caller George:Appreciate it, David.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:God bless you.
Caller George:Have a good one.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Excellent job, George, stepping in.
David Spoon:Yeah, that's right.
David Spoon:That was a good way to do it.
David Spoon:Abraham, Isaac, Jacob.
David Spoon:Abraham, Isaac, Jacob.
David Spoon:That's a good way to do it.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Before we do anything else, so we do have to do.
David Spoon:I do have to gloat.
David Spoon:I'm not supposed to gloat.
David Spoon:You know, gloating is not part of the.
David Spoon:It's okay.
David Spoon:First Corinthians 13, four through seven.
David Spoon:But since I probably won't be able to gloat this Sunday, I'm going to do it this Tuesday for what happened last Sunday, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for Jake's take.
David Spoon:Jake, you are in charge of Jake's take.
David Spoon:What do you got for me?
Jammin Jacob:Well, David, congratulations that you got the pick right.
Jammin Jacob:With the Cowboys beating the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday, it was a two hour rain delay, so the game wasn't over till midnight.
Jammin Jacob:I don't know.
Jammin Jacob:You probably didn't finish watching the game right the very end.
David Spoon:Nope, I did not.
David Spoon:Well, I finished.
David Spoon:In fact, I had to find out the next morning that I was going to do this routine anyway.
Jammin Jacob:Yeah, I did finish watching it, but I was like, I was hanging on.
Jammin Jacob:I was about half asleep and I watched it the second the game was over.
Jammin Jacob:I said, okay, time for bed.
David Spoon:That's so funny.
David Spoon:All right, now we know we'll probably do it one more time.
David Spoon:We know that this Sunday is the major of the majors because, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, if I am correct, it is Detroit visiting Dallas this Sunday.
David Spoon:So we're not going to do our picks yet.
David Spoon:We're going to do them on Thursday.
David Spoon:But just beware, we've got a major Jake's take coming up.
David Spoon:Right.
Jammin Jacob:The last time they played each other was, it was a good game.
Jammin Jacob:It was controversial, right.
Jammin Jacob:If I, if I remember right, with the officiating, but Cowboys won that one of those close games.
Jammin Jacob:So I'm looking forward to the rematch.
Jammin Jacob:I think it'll be another good game.
David Spoon:I do think it's going to be a good game.
David Spoon:I'm with you on that one.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:By George, everybody doing great.
David Spoon:Let's get back into our text.
David Spoon:We only have so many minutes, and we want to get to it.
David Spoon:Yes, I know.
David Spoon:You should see, I mean, I try to get this show, like, done, but it's like, it's 90 minutes.
David Spoon:I keep thinking, man, we got to figure out how to expand this.
David Spoon:But we'll, you know, we'll get there when the time is right.
David Spoon:Let's go back to the text.
David Spoon:I want you to understand something about sin, okay?
David Spoon:I do really want you to understand this, okay?
David Spoon:The problem that we think of is we think of sin, and then, so images always come into our minds.
David Spoon:Like, there's an image that people have in regards to sin.
David Spoon:It's just a great way to say it.
David Spoon:Like, people are like, you know, it's like, you know, somebody preaching from a pulpit and you're just a bad person, you know, you know, 50 50 lashes with a wet noodle kind of mentality.
David Spoon:Or sin is like, it's delightful little thingies and it's not a big deal.
David Spoon:Or you think about sin and you think about repentance, and then you think about the guy with the lunchboard around saying, repent, the end is near, and so on and so forth.
David Spoon:What I don't think christians necessarily understand, although definitely appreciative, because we receive and acknowledge, we receive the authority to become the children of God.
David Spoon:That's actually what John, chapter one, verse twelve, to as many as believe he gave the right, the authority to receive, being his children.
David Spoon:That's a huge, huge, huge deal.
David Spoon:What we don't always catch is actually how bad sin is from God's perspective.
David Spoon:And the reason I think we don't is because as christians, we get washed in the blood of Jesus.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:I mean, that's the fact.
David Spoon:But it took the redeeming work of Jesus Christ to get that washing to take place.
David Spoon:So let's understand something about sin.
David Spoon:When you think of sin and just even your activities when you blow up before the Lord, you must with it think not that this is going to happen to you, but the result of sin upon mankind is eternal separation from goddess, never connecting to God, ever.
David Spoon:A person never being able to connect to God.
David Spoon:You have to think of if you've ever witnessed or been a part of death, that death that decay, that composition of death, disease, sickness, the mental sicknesses that take place in our society, all of that, plus the obstruction of nature, the obstruction of how it should be, the contradictions that take place, what should be peaceful, loving and awesome, which has turned out to be, in many ways miserable and disgusting, all of that dreck is because of sin.
David Spoon:That's the thing that God is trying to teach us.
David Spoon:When Adam and Eve sinned by that simple, disobedient command, the disobedience of that command, it wasn't as though at the moment the universe stopped for them, but their fellowship with God stopped.
David Spoon:And that then would result in an eternal banishment or an eternal problem for the people of that nature have the same nature.
David Spoon:In other words, everybody born from Adam and Eve is going to have that nature of rebellion in him.
David Spoon:And that is what separates mankind from the garden.
David Spoon:Jesus, being the second Adam, brought it back into focus, brought it back so we can live like the right way.
David Spoon:We want to live eternally with God, for God and unto God.
David Spoon:But it is that sin, that simple moment of yea did.
David Spoon:God said, yea, hath.
David Spoon:God said.
David Spoon:And then just doing that action, that small action of consuming that fruit, eating that fruit, then brought millions and millions and millions of deaths, disease, disgust, darkness.
David Spoon:Every time we sin, we reinforce that.
David Spoon:Now you're redeemed.
David Spoon:If you're a Christian, totally cool.
David Spoon:Don't miss.
David Spoon:Don't miss what I'm saying.
David Spoon:But I want us to also glimpse the truth, that sin is dark, darker than anything.
David Spoon:Everything you think is dark is only that way because of sin.
David Spoon:And that's what the Lord's trying to teach us.
David Spoon:Chapter seven is making sure you and I understand this is serious to God.
David Spoon:And if we think it's cool to be with the Lord, we need to heed what he says is serious.
David Spoon:And being friends with sin is serious and not okay.
David Spoon:Now, if you're struggling with a besetting sin, if you're listening to me and you're like, dave, I really am trying to get through this, but I'm really having a hard time.
David Spoon:God knows that.
David Spoon:And you bring that to him in prayer.
David Spoon:Don't be dishonest about it.
David Spoon:Be as honest as you can possibly be and pray and ask for help.
David Spoon:You may find immediate deliverance, and you may find the Lord teaching you step by step.
David Spoon:But don't deny it.
David Spoon:Acknowledge it.
David Spoon:Confess it.
David Spoon:Surrender it to the Lord.
David Spoon:He will get you through it.
David Spoon:And I know there's some of you out there right now.
David Spoon:Listen to my voice.
David Spoon:You're in a bondage.
David Spoon:Nobody knows.
David Spoon:Only you know.
David Spoon:Only God knows.
David Spoon:How do I know that?
David Spoon:I'm one of you.
David Spoon:But none of those sins in our lives own us.
David Spoon:And God not only forgives, but frees us from the power of that sin.
David Spoon:Get that.
David Spoon:Gotta get that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Take a short break, then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David spoon experience right here on Kaam, 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Your break will be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.

David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k double amen.
David Spoon:770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Here is your next trivia question.
David Spoon:Oh, no, now we got to go a little tougher.
David Spoon:Just a little tougher.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:A little tougher.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Manasseh and Ephraim?
David Spoon:Who was the father of Manasseh and Ephraim?
David Spoon:Genesis chapter 41, verses 51 and 52.
David Spoon:Who is the father of Manasseh and Ephraim?
David Spoon:Genesis 41 51 through 52.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:so I am going to send you up to the website because I haven't done that yet because I talk a lot.
David Spoon:That's why.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:On the website there's a place for prayer requests and praise reports.
David Spoon:Nobody gets your information, just privately to us, nowhere else.
David Spoon:That's number one.
David Spoon:Number two, there's lots of books up there and a lot.
David Spoon:There's five of them.
David Spoon:If you want any of them, you let us know.
David Spoon:If you cannot afford it, we will get them for you.
David Spoon:The first one is a spoon for Jesus.
David Spoon:Next one is broken for his glory.
David Spoon:The Jewish Christian, also the faith that pleases God, which is probably my favorite ultimately.
David Spoon:And then also one step closer to Jesus.
David Spoon:All of those have a purpose to them.
David Spoon:And two of the five are also on audio.
David Spoon:We're still working.
David Spoon:We're going to be working on the third one pretty soon.
David Spoon:Last thing to tell you is money, money, money.
David Spoon:How much do I love talking about money?
David Spoon:Not at all.
David Spoon:But that's not the point.
David Spoon:The point is we need the money to keep the ministry going.
David Spoon:And everybody knows, especially before an election, things get tighter because people aren't sure what's going to be happening.
David Spoon:We appreciate that, but we don't care.
David Spoon:In the context of, well, whatever is going to happen, we trust God knows exactly what he's doing.
David Spoon:And we still need the support.
David Spoon:So if you're able to give, do so.
David Spoon:And if you can't, don't but pray for us because that's cool.
David Spoon:So you should be doing that.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:If the ministry is a blessing for you, please pray for us.
David Spoon:Our passage, second Corinthians eight three.
David Spoon:I testify according to their ability and beyond their ability.
David Spoon:They gave of their own accord whenever you gave to us or anybody else.
David Spoon:You do it because you want to and you do it unto the Lord.
David Spoon:When you give it unto the Lord, it's a covenant between you and Goddess, right?
David Spoon:If the ministry doesn't use the money wisely, that's going to be between them and God.
David Spoon:But you give unto the Lord.
David Spoon:That's the, that's how the Lord wants it.
David Spoon:You bring it to where the Lord wants you to bring it and that's between you and him.
David Spoon:Then at that point, that's all I'm trying to say.
David Spoon:Okay, check it out on the website.
David Spoon:He must increase.org prayer request.
David Spoon:He must increase.org praise report looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He mustincrease.org dot confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He mustincrease.org he must increase.org they're moving in herds.
David Spoon:They do move in herds.
David Spoon:They move in herds.
David Spoon:They do move in herds.
David Spoon:All right, somebody is ready to answer a trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
David Spoon:Hi, doctor.
Caller Fred:This is Fred.
David Spoon:Hello, Fred.
David Spoon:How are you, brother?
Caller Fred:I'm doing fine, sir.
David Spoon:Oh, it's good.
David Spoon:Did you have a nice weekend?
Caller Fred:Great.
Caller Fred:Can't complain.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:And you know what?
David Spoon:Complaining wouldn't help anyway.
Caller Fred:No, no, it would not.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:Okay, here we go, my friend.
David Spoon:I'll set it up for you.
David Spoon:You can knock it out.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Manasseh and Ephraim?
Caller Fred:This man is probably the polar opposite of, let me say, Solomon and popular Samson too.
Caller Fred:But this has got to be the amazing Joseph who never failed God.
David Spoon:That is correct, my Nelson.
David Spoon:The one person, you look at all the stuff in the Old Testament, in Genesis, and you think how that guy, what a rock star.
David Spoon:That guy.
Caller Fred:Yes.
David Spoon:I mean, that guy was a rock star.
Caller Fred:You know, Satan, he, he knows man's weakness.
Caller Fred:And a lot of times, we got to admit, in Old Testament, he'd bring a woman and we're not blaming the woman.
Caller Fred:The woman can't make the man doing the thing.
Caller Fred:But he's tempted a lot of the times he fails.
Caller Fred:But Joseph stood his ground, and I'm proud of Joseph.
Caller Fred:He can represent us anywhere.
David Spoon:I mean, if you.
David Spoon:If you just consider.
David Spoon:I mean, that guy.
David Spoon:I mean, just.
David Spoon:It's amazing.
David Spoon:And then all the things he had.
David Spoon:The opportunity to take.
David Spoon:Revenge.
David Spoon:Do this or this.
David Spoon:Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
David Spoon:I'm just gonna go about this.
David Spoon:This is part of God's plan.
David Spoon:Boy, I wish I could have that attitude in every trial, don't you?
Caller Fred:Like you know what?
Caller Fred:I think that's what God wants to be.
Caller Fred:But right now, we're working progress.
David Spoon:That's right, brother.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:Excellent job, my brother.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
Caller Fred:God bless you.
Caller Fred:I'm hanging up and listening.
David Spoon:All right, thank you, bro.
David Spoon:God blessed.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:All right, folks, we are tight on time, so we are going to go right to this one other thing.
David Spoon:And people are like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
David Spoon:No, I can't do anything about it.
David Spoon:I'm so far.
David Spoon:I talk a lot.
David Spoon:What do you want from me?
David Spoon:Worst part about it is it never stops.
David Spoon:Don't you feel bad for Noelle?
David Spoon:I do all right.
David Spoon:Anyway, going back to this, I want to go to verse nine.
David Spoon:I don't want you to miss this.
David Spoon:And, yes, we teach on sin, and we teach on redemption.
David Spoon:We teach on all of it.
David Spoon:All of it.
David Spoon:The up and the down, the good, the bad, the ugly, all of it.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because God put it in his word, and he put it in there for a reason.
David Spoon:Verse nine of romans seven.
David Spoon:Now, keep in mind we're heading to a very certain point.
David Spoon:We're going to get to romans seven, and then we're going to have this huge shift in how Paul's talking about it.
David Spoon:Because right now he's talking about it very theologically, but he's moving into this realm of talking about it very personally.
David Spoon:So watch.
David Spoon:He says this, verse nine.
David Spoon:He said, I felt fine when I did not understand what the law demanded.
David Spoon:But when I learned the truth, I realized I had broken the law and was a sinner doomed to die.
David Spoon:So the good law was supposed to show me the way of life.
David Spoon:Instead, it gave me the death penalty.
David Spoon:Sin took advantage of the law and fooled me.
David Spoon:It took the good law and used it to make me guilty of death.
David Spoon:But still, the law itself is holy and right and good.
David Spoon:Okay, see, people are like, why is this so exciting to you?
David Spoon:Why do you think?
David Spoon:This is fascinating.
David Spoon:I'll tell you why it's fascinating.
David Spoon:God brings the law to mankind so that mankind can know the differential between right and wrong.
David Spoon:That law helps us understand good, bad, good, bad, good, bad.
David Spoon:Sin takes advantage of us when we do the bad and then produces in us activities that are bad.
David Spoon:And without the law, we wouldn't know it's bad.
David Spoon:So Paul goes, well, I felt fine when I didn't understand it.
David Spoon:I felt fine with the.
David Spoon:When I understand what the law demanded.
David Spoon:And then he says this.
David Spoon:But when I learned the truth, I realized, so I want to talk to you about this.
David Spoon:And this is going to be mature christian material.
David Spoon:So if you are younger in the faith and you have no idea what I'm talking about, just bear with us.
David Spoon:If you're really older in the faith, you should know exactly what I'm talking about.
David Spoon:We catch that we have been delivered from the penalty of sin, and we are in the process of being delivered from the power of sin.
David Spoon:In other words, we already have that, but we don't access it all the time.
David Spoon:And eventually we will be delivered from the presence of sin.
David Spoon:That's the glorification.
David Spoon:We won't have to deal with it anymore.
David Spoon:It's over.
David Spoon:But in the meantime, the penalty is taken care of in Christ.
David Spoon:The presence will be removed in all eternity.
David Spoon:But the power of sin is what we're dealing with now.
David Spoon:What Paul says is, I learned the truth.
David Spoon:And I realized, when the Lord reveals to you something that you're doing, that's not great.
David Spoon:Okay, let me say it differently.
David Spoon:When the Lord shows you that you're sinning, that doesn't mean it's the end of the universe.
David Spoon:It means that the Lord is showing you, and then you realize it.
David Spoon:And that means it's time for growing up.
David Spoon:That means it's time to mature.
David Spoon:That means it's time to step up.
David Spoon:And I will say this.
David Spoon:Whether you've been a Christian for four years or 40 years, that continues until you are exactly like Jesus in every possible and conceivable way, which means it will continue on this side of glory.
David Spoon:And when the Lord shows you something, he's not doing it to take away fun.
David Spoon:He's not doing it to express displeasure.
David Spoon:He only reveals these things to us so that we can be more like Jesus.
David Spoon:And he only does that because he loves us.
David Spoon:And when we learn the truth and realize that's when we're supposed to come before the Lord, own it and ask for help, and for those that are thinking, well, this probably only talking about those major addictions and things like that, ridiculous.
David Spoon:I'm talking about fear.
David Spoon:I'm talking about doubt.
David Spoon:I'm talking about a lack of confidence for the future.
David Spoon:I'm talking about not operating in a faith that pleases God, praying a prayer, not really expecting the prayer to be answered.
David Spoon:I'm talking about not living in the hope that God has established for us, which is supposed to be the anchor to our soul.
David Spoon:All of those are as bad, if not worse, than those obvious outward sins because all those sins sneak their way into our lives and we need to fight against those.
David Spoon:The Lord will never abandon you.
David Spoon:He'll never forget you.
David Spoon:He'll never forsake you, but he'll never stop working on you.
David Spoon:And until you can say everything is possible to him who believes I and nothing is impossible for God and really live, that he will keep on working on you.
David Spoon:Get it?
David Spoon:And you know what?
David Spoon:That's because he loves you.
David Spoon:That's a good thing, not a bad thing.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take our break and then we'll come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David spoon experience right here on Kam 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:Can't stand the skill.
David Spoon:Let's get into our text.
David Spoon:Colossians chapter.
David Spoon:We covered everything, right?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Colossians chapter three, verses two through four.
David Spoon:Whatever you do, or I'm sorry, it's actually Colossians 324.
David Spoon:Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically is something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord because you serve the Lord Jesus Christ?
David Spoon:The scripture tells us that whatever we do.
David Spoon:Now, we've gone through this a couple of times, and we have to go through it multiple more times to really grasp it.
David Spoon:But that phrase, whatever we do, happens to mean whatever we do.
David Spoon:That's what it means.
David Spoon:And we're supposed to do it enthusiastically with an eagerness, not with an obnoxiousness, with an eagerness to do it as unto the Lord.
David Spoon:So the things that we're required to do, that we have to do, there should be a disposition and attitude of enthusiasm that is connected to the Lord.
David Spoon:It's not that you like to do everything, but if you can understand that in the doing of it unto the Lord, you're doing it with a different priority in mind.
David Spoon:You understand that.
David Spoon:In other words, what you do, do it unto the Lord and do it with this attitude of a full heart and an eagerness.
David Spoon:I had somebody, I'll say her name, Susie Lopez was at KPRZ.
David Spoon:She was the direct marketing director.
David Spoon:Susie did the marketing director for San Diego.
David Spoon:She said something to me one time that was so profoundly simple.
David Spoon:It was irritating because I had to do something for a client because that's what you had to do at school, Salem.
David Spoon:And I was like, blah.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:So she said, dave, she goes, if you can't get out of it, get into it.
David Spoon:And it was like, that was really good advice.
David Spoon:If you can't remove yourself from it and you have to do it, at least do it right.
David Spoon:I mean, do what you're going to do and do it with the right attitude.
David Spoon:Do it with the right spirit, do it with this better mindset.
David Spoon:And I think she was more right than wrong.
David Spoon:No, I'm nothing talking about doing bad things or anything like that.
David Spoon:That's weird stuff.
David Spoon:I'm talking about doing it as unto the Lord and recognizing that when you do it that way, it is from the Lord and only the Lord that you will receive the true eternal reward.
David Spoon:You might go through whatever your process is, but when you do it as unto the Lord, you can recognize that the Lord is the one that brings the reward.
David Spoon:And that's just living your life for the Lord.
David Spoon:That's just good, right?
David Spoon:I mean, that can't be a bad thing.
David Spoon:The David spoon experience.
David Spoon:You're here when I need you the most.
David Spoon:When I need you the most.
David Spoon:Oh.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAAM 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k men 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Last trivia question coming up right now.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Joseph and his brothers?
David Spoon:Who was the father of Joseph and his brothers?
David Spoon:Genesis chapter 30, verse 25.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Joseph and his brothers?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Who was daddy for all of them kitties?
David Spoon:That is the question that is being asked right now.
David Spoon:We'll give you a couple seconds to reply to that.
David Spoon:We do have people that are on the phone.
David Spoon:People are answering by text.
David Spoon:So I do want to point this out.
David Spoon:There's only one really important thing I need to talk about for the history.
David Spoon:So we're going to do just the history and I'm just going to give you one thing and then we'll take the caller.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:So let's go let face in the past.
David Spoon:Let's go let face knowing that we discussed how I do have a very deep and fond element for peanut butter today is national flutter nutter day.
David Spoon:Flutter nutters are peanut butter and marshmallows.
David Spoon:Can't beat that.
David Spoon:Sorry.
Jammin Jacob:No, can't beat that.
David Spoon:I mean, come on, flutter nutters.
David Spoon:That's just awesome.
David Spoon:All right, your trivia question.
David Spoon:Who was the father of Joseph and his brothers?
David Spoon:Genesis 30, verse 25.
David Spoon:And we do have somebody on the line, so let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Caller Joy Ann:Hi, Doctor David, this is Joy Ann.
David Spoon:Hi, Joy Ann.
David Spoon:How are you?
Caller Joy Ann:I'm very blessed and I am so excited to answer this question.
David Spoon:All right, get ready.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Who.
David Spoon:Who might be whom, but who was the father of Joseph and his brothers?
Caller Joy Ann:Well, back then, he might even have his name prefaced as Jammin.
Caller Joy Ann:And he could also have the distinction of being like your chief engineer, your co pilot there at the station.
Caller Joy Ann:How about Jacob?
David Spoon:That is correctable.
David Spoon:Now, the preface of Jammin.
David Spoon:That was a good one.
David Spoon:That was a good one right there.
David Spoon:I'm going to give you mucho props for that one.
David Spoon:That's funny.
David Spoon:Very, very funny.
David Spoon:Very funny.
David Spoon:How are.
David Spoon:How are you doing?
David Spoon:How are you?
Caller Joy Ann:Just so blessed.
Caller Joy Ann:Loving our new place.
Caller Joy Ann:And the lungs don't burn anymore.
Caller Joy Ann:No more mold issue.
Caller Joy Ann:And so.
Caller Joy Ann:Praise the Lord.
David Spoon:Praise the Lord.
Caller Joy Ann:I do have a quick prayer request.
Caller Joy Ann:I did injure my leg while moving a few weeks ago, and it hasn't gotten better.
Caller Joy Ann:My right leg hurts from my hip down to my toes.
Caller Joy Ann:It has radiating pain, but I know the Lord will help solve that problem.
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:So let's pray for that right now.
David Spoon:So where exactly did you get hurt?
David Spoon:You hurt your leg or your hip?
David Spoon:Which part of it?
Caller Joy Ann:Yes, well, actually my groin area.
Caller Joy Ann:And then over the past four weeks, it's like, radiated from my hip all the way down to my toes.
Caller Joy Ann:So, yeah, so the Lord will help me, but it slows me down.
Caller Joy Ann:I have more boxes to unpack.
David Spoon:Okay, let's pray.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Let's do it.
Caller Joy Ann:Okay.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:We thank you for Joy Ann, we thank you for Cordelia.
David Spoon:We thank you for their love.
David Spoon:They're just great, great, great sisters in the Lord, period.
David Spoon:Just wonderful part of our family.
David Spoon:And, Lord, you know, every nuance of what took place and how Joanne hurt herself and where the pain is, where it originates, how it generates and how it's creating difficulty.
David Spoon:And, Lord, it's this.
David Spoon:We think, oh, well, that's such a little thing.
David Spoon:It's not little to you, Lord, because it's important to her.
David Spoon:And so because it's important to her.
David Spoon:It becomes important to you or it always has been, essentially.
David Spoon:And we ask you, Lord, to bring the healing power that comes through the stripes that were laid upon Jesus Christ through the truth that your name is Jehovah Rapha and by the power of the Holy Spirit, because it is by the power of the spirit these things get done.
David Spoon:We are asking you in the name of Jesus that you would manifest your power, your healing power in her body, Lord.
David Spoon:It's stopping her, hindering her.
David Spoon:It's discouraging in its own way.
David Spoon:Knock out the discouragement and the distraction so she can just be about the things that she's supposed to do.
David Spoon:Let her have that immediate relief because you are a God that heals and we need your healing power in her life.
David Spoon:We pray this in Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Caller Joy Ann:Amen.
Caller Joy Ann:Oh, I received that spot on.
Caller Joy Ann:That's exactly what I needed.
Caller Joy Ann:Thank you, doctor David.
Caller Joy Ann:Well, love you all and looking forward to the next broadcast.
Caller Joy Ann:Wonderful.
David Spoon:God bless you.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
Caller Joy Ann:Blessings.
Caller Joy Ann:Thanks.
David Spoon:All right, so for everybody to remember.
David Spoon:Now, this is important.
David Spoon:I'm not going to be answering text till after four today, okay?
David Spoon:So just, I'm just telling you up ahead of time.
David Spoon:And then the last thing I want to say about this teaching, I know romans is a little bit of a bog down.
David Spoon:People don't spend a ton of time in the seven.
David Spoon:Typically they'll do seven Romans, seven and two or three shots.
David Spoon:We've already done seven or six of them.
David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:If you are struggling with sin, it's a drag, but there is forgiveness and redemption and healing in Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:If you're a long time Christian with a very long time sin, bring it before the Lord.
David Spoon:He knows he still chose you, he loves you and he'll still at this point help you overcome.
David Spoon:You have to believe that he loves you that much.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:All right, we're done for today.
David Spoon:You've been listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kam 770, the truth stationary in Texas.
David Spoon:22 and a half hour break.
David Spoon:Then we'll come back.
David Spoon:More insanity with spoonanity.
David Spoon:Talk to you then.
David Spoon:Destroying everyone.
David Spoon:Everything.
