Spoon articulates that this struggle is universal among Christians, making it clear that the battle against sin is not a sign of defeat but a testament to a believer's growth and awareness of their spiritual journey. Through this examination, Spoon reassures his audience that feeling overwhelmed by temptation does not negate their identity as children of God, but rather highlights the need for reliance on divine grace and intervention.
The show also features a more personal side as Spoon shares anecdotes from his own life, including his journey from substance abuse to finding faith in Christ. These reflections serve as a powerful backdrop to the theological discussions, illustrating how personal experiences shape one’s understanding of scripture. And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's experience.
David Spoon:It's totally terrific, totally triumphant and totally awesome Tuesday as we find unity from the Father through the Son and by the Holy Spirit, all for the glory of God almighty.
David Spoon:Guess what we're in.
David Spoon:Romans, chapter seven, verse 18.
David Spoon:I will tell you that opening question, what's your favorite paulinian epistles?
David Spoon:The ultimate answer was Romans.
David Spoon:Hey, guess what?
David Spoon:We're there.
David Spoon:The next three verses are going to illustrate what we previously had mentioned about our lives.
David Spoon:Paul knows he has rotten through and through as far as his old sinful nature is concerned.
David Spoon:Again, for people who think this is just positionally from the past and no longer applies, you're not really reading the text.
David Spoon:Paul says, what I want to do, I am not doing.
David Spoon:Not what I did want to do, I didn't do.
David Spoon:So watch the grammar.
David Spoon:He's like, what I want to do right now I'm not doing present tense.
David Spoon:Next.
David Spoon:I find verse 23 exceedingly important because again, Paul makes it clear where the actual war really is.
David Spoon:He says, there's another law at work within me that is in the war, at the war with my mind.
David Spoon:As you've heard me say a thousand times, I am not a positive thinking, positive speaking, positive this, positive that guy.
David Spoon:But I am a biblical thinking, biblical speaking, biblical this and biblical that guy.
David Spoon:And Paul makes it absolutely clear that he's having a war in in his mind.
David Spoon:So finally, verse 25 begins the deliverance in the next phase of the book of Romans and its theology.
David Spoon:It says, thank God, the answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.
David Spoon:Then he goes on to say, it's in my mind.
David Spoon:I really want to obey the law, but because of this sinful nature, I'm also fighting against sin.
David Spoon:But the answer is in Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:And he thanks God that there is an answer and he knows the answer is Jesus.
David Spoon:And thats what we need to keep on seeing and saying, too.

David Spoon:Lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events.
David Spoon:Personal revelations, spiritual observations in my life's insanities and so much more.
David Spoon:Now, we've already told you because we already heard from the pioneer yesterday.
David Spoon:It's not professional radio.
David Spoon:It's just radio.
David Spoon:It's all it is.
David Spoon:It's just an opportunity for us to fellowship.
David Spoon:But we are asking you, what do you think?
David Spoon:So you can email us during the show.
David Spoon:Very safe, right?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob is like sharing a cheat meal on your diet with your favorite person.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:Thank you, David.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:Happy Tuesday.
David Spoon:Happy Tuesday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:Well, we've had through.
David Spoon:This is now multiple segments in a row where nothing goes as one thinks.
David Spoon:That's just the best.
David Spoon:Yeah, that's okay.
David Spoon:Cool.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:We should just go in with no notes, have the show start and say, here we go.
David Spoon:I'll start filling in the notes as the show goes on.
David Spoon:I do want to check with you, though, because I didn't.
David Spoon:I did ask you about your weekend, and I don't remember if I asked you this or not, but did you, in fact, get to have your Reese's over the weekend?
David Spoon:I don't remember because you were going to have, like, a nice weekend, and I wanted to see if you ate anything special.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:No, I did not have a Reese's.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:I did have a burger sundae, which was really good.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:So that was.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:That was nice.
David Spoon:All right, I'm going to tell you what Noelle and I did.
David Spoon:We.
David Spoon:I'm just going to.
David Spoon:Don't get mad at me.
David Spoon:People.
David Spoon:Don't get mad at me.
David Spoon:We split a prime rib, right?
David Spoon:Like a really good prime rib.
David Spoon:We split it.
David Spoon:We split, like, whenever we go to our meals and see, she likes horsey sauce.
David Spoon:But I was born and raised jewish, so I like horse radish.
David Spoon:And so I don't use any of the sauce.
David Spoon:I put globs and then, so I can make sure that my sinuses are cleared out after the first or second bite.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:Talking about ribs, are you a big barbecue person?
Co-host or Guest Speaker:Do you like barbecue?
David Spoon:I love.
David Spoon:I love, love.
David Spoon:People are like, I don't eat meat good.
David Spoon:More for me to choose.
David Spoon:I mean, I just think that's just right.
David Spoon:I just like.
David Spoon:And I'm a big rib person.
David Spoon:I'm big every kind of.
David Spoon:If it's there.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Look at the one thing I have a hard time with.
David Spoon:I'll just be honest.
David Spoon:I'll just say I have a hard time with Brussels sprouts.
David Spoon:And I'll tell you why.
David Spoon:Because I think they're little heads of lettuce that got shrunk.
David Spoon:And, honey, I shrunk the kids.
David Spoon:That's how I look at it.
David Spoon:And so I just can't do it.
David Spoon:Sorry.
David Spoon:I just thought I'd share that with you.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:I haven't seen that movie in so long.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Brussels sprouts.
David Spoon:Can't do it.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Anyway, let's get into this.
David Spoon:Why in the world, why?
David Spoon:You have to really be thinking this now?
David Spoon:Why would you email us?
David Spoon:Why would you text us?
David Spoon:Why would you call us?
David Spoon:And the reasons are simple.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a praise report.
David Spoon:Awesome.
David Spoon:I mean, awesome, awesome, awesome.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Because it's great to honor the Lord.
David Spoon:It's great.
David Spoon:Like Angelina getting moved from the one spot to the phenomenal because we were praying for her multiple times.
David Spoon:And all the things that the Lord does.
David Spoon:Acknowledgement is so powerful because it reinforces it in your own life.
David Spoon:It blesses other people, but most importantly, it honors the Lord.
David Spoon:That's number one.
David Spoon:Number two, prayer.
David Spoon:And I am.
David Spoon:I've told you, I get really sick and tired of those people.
David Spoon:What are you gonna do?
David Spoon:Pray about it?
David Spoon:Exactly what I'm gonna do.
David Spoon:Since prayer is the very thing that can stop the universe, raise the dead and do everything else, that's exactly what I'm gonna do about it.
David Spoon:I'm gonna pray about it.
David Spoon:Because the power of goddess in a situation is better than the wisdom and power of man.
David Spoon:That's why maybe you got something you want to share, something on your heart, something that's been going on just like, hey, I just want to share this.
David Spoon:Maybe you got an answer to Bible trivia.
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:Let's see if you can get this one.
David Spoon:This is a tough one.
David Spoon:What did John the Baptist say when he saw Jesus out of John, chapter one, verse 29.
David Spoon:What did John the Baptist say when he saw Jesus?
David Spoon:John chapter one, verse 29.
David Spoon:Where according to that passage, what did he say?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:what did John the Baptist say when he first saw Jesus?
David Spoon:John, chapter one, verse 29.
David Spoon:That is going to be your big reference point.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Big, big, big, big reference point.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:And here's the thing that people need to be aware of.
David Spoon:So we have these discussions, and on this show, I want to make sure everybody knows.
David Spoon:We have discussions, we have questions, we have comments, we have engagements.
David Spoon:This is what fellowship is.
David Spoon:We tell you on a regular basis, we're not your church.
David Spoon:We don't do baptisms and we don't do communion.
David Spoon:So it's really difficult for us.
David Spoon:Really be difficult to baptize you on the radio.
David Spoon:I mean, I'm just saying.
David Spoon:But what I do want you to catch is it's a fellowship, and the requirements are none.
David Spoon:Even non believers are welcome to listen and even to engage.
David Spoon:As long as they're doing it respectfully.
David Spoon:We have no problem.
David Spoon:We've doing that for the same thing for years.
David Spoon:But what our goal is, is to encourage one another as we see the day getting closer.
David Spoon:And oh, my.
David Spoon:How much closer is it now for those that have been christians for more than 20 years?
David Spoon:I don't.
David Spoon:I'm not trying to single anybody out, but for those that have been christians for more than 20 years, and you're looking at the landscaping.
David Spoon:I know what you're thinking.
David Spoon:You're thinking, yikes, it's gotta be closer.
David Spoon:It is closer.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:That's okay.
David Spoon:I would do.
David Spoon:If somebody ready to answer a trivia question, let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
:Hi, David.
:It's me again.
:Two in a row.
:This is Miss Robertson.
David Spoon:Hey, Miss Robertson.
David Spoon:How are you all as well.
David Spoon:And you?
David Spoon:I'm doing wonderful.
David Spoon:I am just doing wonderful.
David Spoon:I'm blessed.
David Spoon:I'm just.
David Spoon:I love that the Lord does weird things on our show because it makes me feel like he runs it maybe more than I do, which is a good feeling.
David Spoon:You know what I mean?
David Spoon:It's like, good.
David Spoon:You do it.
:Amen.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:All right, so I want to set you up on the question, and then you can answer it.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:What did John the Baptist say according to John 129, when he saw Jesus?
:He said, the next day, john sent Jesus coming unto him and said, behold the lamb of God, which take away the sins of the world.
:That is one of my favorite scripture.
:And we had it in, like, when they had.
:Oh, geez.
:Anyway, it's one of my favorite scriptures.
:Dave, you need to know it.
David Spoon:That is a marvelous scripture.
David Spoon:And see, this is something that people don't write as well.
David Spoon:Listen, you know how John the Baptist said that?
David Spoon:You know what we need to say?
David Spoon:That we need to say, behold the lamb of God, and then point to Jesus, and then people will have the opportunity to have redemption for their sins.
David Spoon:We just gotta point.
David Spoon:You don't have to point to yourself.
David Spoon:You gotta point to him.
David Spoon:You're not the answer.
David Spoon:He is not at all forecast.
:It's Jesus.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Excellent, Josh.
:Also, I.
:I heard you say prime real.
:I'm like, just on that note, I'm calling him on prime real.
:And also answer the question, David.
:Where can I get a good prime real?
David Spoon:See, now, that's just genius that you did.
David Spoon:So we actually.
David Spoon:So we went to.
David Spoon:There's two places that we've gone.
David Spoon:We do like.
David Spoon:And I don't want anybody to get mad at me.
David Spoon:See, this is.
:No, I'm just over here trying to write it down.
David Spoon:I just don't want people to like kind of thing.
David Spoon:But what?
David Spoon:We went to the Texas roadhouse, and they had just a phenomenal piece of primer.
David Spoon:It was phenomenal, and it was so good.
David Spoon:And they were so.
David Spoon:What's the word I'm looking for?
David Spoon:Sometimes you go out to eat, and the people aren't really happy.
David Spoon:You know what I'm saying?
David Spoon:Like, you can tell they're not happy in their job.
David Spoon:Well, they have this big thing where they all need to be happy, or they don't work there.
David Spoon:So it makes the atmosphere so much better.
David Spoon:And it was a phenomenal piece.
David Spoon:And how we do it is I let Noelle eat the center, and then I eat all around it, because I don't care.
David Spoon:I'm eating it with horseradish.
David Spoon:I can eat anything, so it doesn't matter.
David Spoon:So I would encourage you to go that we enjoyed it, and some people don't like it.
David Spoon:I get it.
David Spoon:But we had a good time doing it.
David Spoon:Okay.
:Texas row house.
:Okay.
:Is that what that is?
:Prime rib.
David Spoon:Prime rib.
David Spoon:You just try the trail.
David Spoon:You get the center cut.
David Spoon:It's just the best piece.
:Thank you.
:Thank you.
:Thank you.
:Blessing to see you, my brother.
:And I'm always listening to you.
:Bye.
:For the chunky.
David Spoon:God bless you.
:Bye bye.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:See, not only do we have discussions about serious issues, demonic connections, we also give, every once in a while, restaurant recommendations.
David Spoon:Okay, so we're gonna pray for people.
David Spoon:We do have somebody that has a prayer request.
David Spoon:We're gonna do that when we come back.
David Spoon:So I want to finish this off by doing our DNA, and then we'll be praying for people.
David Spoon:Okay, so let's do this.
David Spoon:Then we'll come back and we're gonna pray for people.
David Spoon:Because actually, I have a person who's very close to me that needs prayer.
David Spoon:So we're going to do that.
David Spoon:But first we're going to do our DNA.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:And DNA.
David Spoon:All the things, I tell you, all the things.
David Spoon:There's just nothing more important than the D on the DNA.
David Spoon:It just doesn't matter.
David Spoon:D.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:Daily.
David Spoon:Daily.
David Spoon:James four eight.
David Spoon:Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
David Spoon:If you are looking for answers in your life, the answer is with the Lord.
David Spoon:And if you don't know it yet, that doesn't mean it's not known.
David Spoon:It just means you have yet to have it revealed to you.
David Spoon:And that time with the Lord makes that opportunity for the Lord to communicate to you and to draw near to him is to spend time with him as best you can with no distractions.
David Spoon:And what I mean by that is when I read, I'm just telling you what I do.
David Spoon:It's not what anybody else has to do, but I do it.
David Spoon:We have a couple things that we tell our kids, like during my devotion times, unless it's an absolute life emergency, you cannot disturb me.
David Spoon:I shut my phone off.
David Spoon:If it's something that's emergency, they know to contact Noelle.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because I don't want to be disturbed while I'm spending time with the Lord.
David Spoon:That's why Jesus went to the mountain, up on the mountain, to pray at night, because nobody could bother him, so he could just spend it.
David Spoon:And I'm not saying people are bothered that way.
David Spoon:It's just that priority of relationship has got to be protected.
David Spoon:That's what will make the difference in your life.
David Spoon:To draw closer to the Lord daily D.
David Spoon:And never be ashamed of Jesus or his word.
David Spoon:So I'm reading in Mark, chapter eight.
David Spoon:Now, usually I'll quote Luke 926, but in Mark, chapter eight, it also says, jesus said, if you're ashamed of me or my words, I'll be ashamed of you.
David Spoon:When I come with honor from the father, it's like, look, I understand not.
David Spoon:I've met tons of theological, brilliant people.
David Spoon:I have never met a single human being that knows every single possible biblical nuance.
David Spoon:I've never met one.
David Spoon:Here's what I.
David Spoon:Here's who I.
David Spoon:Here's who I have met.
David Spoon:I can get out there.
David Spoon:Here's who I have met Jesus, and I have never, ever, ever been ashamed of anything he's done in my life.
David Spoon:And I will never be ashamed of his words.
David Spoon:And if people don't like it, tough, because he has a heaven to put me in and they don't.
David Spoon:I mean, I'm not dumb, like, let's go with the wind.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:D draw closer to Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:And then a, always be ready.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:To serve.
David Spoon:Just ready.
David Spoon:Just like what Rosalind was talking about.
David Spoon:She was just available.
David Spoon:Just ready.
David Spoon:Just, you think, well, do I have to prepare?
David Spoon:You prepare.
David Spoon:Actually, by spending time with the Lord.
David Spoon:That's how you prepare.
David Spoon:You don't have to prepare.
David Spoon:I have to know the Romans road.
David Spoon:No, you don't.
David Spoon:I have to have a Jack chick track.
David Spoon:So for those that don't know, in the seventies and eighties, the jack chick tracks were all the rage, okay?
David Spoon:And then the four spiritual laws track and all.
David Spoon:You know what?
David Spoon:You have to have a draw near with the Lord.
David Spoon:That's what you have to have.
David Spoon:I mean, that guy who had the demonic problem that Jesus set free, he didn't have any training whatsoever.
David Spoon:He just got touched by Jesus.
David Spoon:And then Jesus said, go tell.
David Spoon:Just go tell people you'll be fine.
David Spoon:And he did.
David Spoon:And they were amazed.
David Spoon:That's the power of God's work.
David Spoon:That's why that's cool.
David Spoon:So d draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:We'll take a break and come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on KAm 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.

Promotional Narrator:You may be from a baptist background, a pentecostal background, a non denominational background.
Promotional Narrator:David spoon has that too.
Promotional Narrator:You may be from the church of Christ, presbyterian, Methodist Church of God, or some other denomination.
Promotional Narrator:But if you're looking for a show that's bible based, spirit led, and a bit nutty, then give David a listen for a while.
Promotional Narrator:If you like it, great.
Promotional Narrator:If not, no worries.
Promotional Narrator:The David spoon experience.
Promotional Narrator:What is the David spoon experience?
David Spoon:It's because heaven is not some statue esque place where people go there and then freeze.
David Spoon:Wait, I'm in heaven.
David Spoon:I'm standing.
David Spoon:Nope, I can't sit.
David Spoon:Wait, no, I'm in heaven.
David Spoon:I'm sitting.
David Spoon:No, wait, I can't stand.
David Spoon:Where does that kind of concept of heaven come from?
David Spoon:Well, is he standing or is he sitting?
David Spoon:I'm gonna go with he's doing both.
David Spoon:He's standing on this one.
David Spoon:He's sitting on this one over there.
David Spoon:He could be doing a Scooby Doo act.
David Spoon:I don't know what he's doing.
David Spoon:All I know is that heaven is not about frozen people that don't move.
David Spoon:And if we don't get a better handle on what heaven is, we're gonna lose our communication of our hope to a hope that's based on 72 virgins, which guarantees you after 73 times.
David Spoon:It's not the fun.
David Spoon:It was the 72 times.
David Spoon:It's so ridiculous.
David Spoon:And that's the hope we're not winning on.
David Spoon:You have got to be kidding me.
Promotional Narrator:The David spoon experience.
David Spoon:Oh.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAAM 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k men 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:By the way, that intro music was Randy Stonehill.
David Spoon:And so we are still working on that.
David Spoon:It is going to happen.
David Spoon:But Randy got a little sick, and so we just told him, hey, whatever you need, just take your time.
David Spoon:We'll be here.
David Spoon:But I am looking forward to that, too.
David Spoon:Plus, we're working on a few others, like with Phil Keigi and Lenny Leblanc and a few others like Matthew Ward and stuff.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:So anyhow, that's just the older I Christian group.
David Spoon:So we got to pray for people.
David Spoon:And so just so you can know, the reason that I didn't go right into prayer at that last segment is because we were really enjoying that and there's a time to rejoice and there's a time to enjoy each other and to have that fellowship.
David Spoon:But then when you go to prayer, you know, I mean, my prayer life is, I want to say this nice.
David Spoon:It's pretty broad ranging, but when I'm praying for you guys, it's important.
David Spoon:I just want you to know it's important stuff.
David Spoon:And so when we, sometimes I'll pull back and then come back to it because I think that's appropriate before the Lord to do that.
David Spoon:Does that mean that when I pray, you know, I'm like that with the Lord?
David Spoon:I don't even want to tell you how my prayer life goes with the Lord.
David Spoon:Let's say there's times where I am weeping before the Lord, then there's times where I'm angry, and then there's times where I'm laughing.
David Spoon:And if you think I'm kidding, I'm not.
David Spoon:I mean, sometimes I'll pray something and I'll have, like a sis.
David Spoon:So I pray this.
David Spoon:I pray on an everyday basis for, for peace, patience and persistence.
David Spoon:It's just one of my many little goofy formulas.
David Spoon:Okay, it's just one of those things.
David Spoon:But I pray at length and so on and so forth, and then, but sometimes I say the wrong word, and then I know the Lord's listening.
David Spoon:And if I think it's funny, he probably thinks it's funny.
David Spoon:So I'll be, you know, peace pieces, patience.
David Spoon:And then I'll say the wrong thing.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:And I'll go, oops, look, you're like Reese's pieces.
David Spoon:Like, pieces are coming in, like.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:So that's just part of, that's part of, see, to me, it's a relationship.
David Spoon:And what we don't understand is, see, I think what we think is, well, that's weird because God, he's not always responding directly verbally, so you can't, you know, this is a relationship with the invisible God.
David Spoon:So you should just recognize that.
David Spoon:I mean, you could sit there and watch the invisible man and get that premise.
David Spoon:What's the problem doing that with the Lord?
David Spoon:I'm just kind of curious on that.
David Spoon:All right, but let's go to prayer.
David Spoon:So we have somebody, one of our listeners and their neighborhood.
David Spoon:We're just going to use the initials KMB.
David Spoon:We're going to pray for KMB.
David Spoon:Some health issues that she's having.
David Spoon:And then I want to pray for Noelle, because Noelle, my dearest, has having some jaw issues.
David Spoon:And so it's starting to bother her enough where she's asking the audience to pray.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:And then we got a call during break from Jeff.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:He's having surgery tomorrow for new teeth.
Co-host or Guest Speaker:So he has a prayer request.
David Spoon:Okay, so we got to pray for Jeff, too.
David Spoon:So let's do it.
David Spoon:Good job.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Take your faith.
David Spoon:I'll take my faith.
David Spoon:And remember, you know, if we have a large amount of faith, faith pleases God, and faith gets things done.
David Spoon:It's very simple, right?
David Spoon:Everything is possible to him that believes.
David Spoon:That's the faith part on our end.
David Spoon:And nothing is impossible for God.
David Spoon:That's the ability part on God's end.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now, and you know, Lord, how much we love you, and we're trying to walk it right, do it right.
David Spoon:And we have our moments, Lord, you know that.
David Spoon:But your graciousness so exceeds our.
David Spoon:Our failings, and your graciousness exceeds our mistakes and our problems.
David Spoon:And in fact, your graciousness exceeds everything in our lives, because you care about how we're doing and you love us.
David Spoon:And, Lord, sometimes it's hard to remember that, you know, sometimes we beat ourselves up pretty good.
David Spoon:But, Lord, we're in prayer now.
David Spoon:We're asking you, petitioning you, and we're asking not in our power.
David Spoon:We're asking with faith, but not in our power, but in the name of Jesus, we're asking this prayer.
David Spoon:We lift up KMB to you, the neighbor who's got a very serious physical illness.
David Spoon:And we are asking for your healing power to touch, to just touch her body.
David Spoon:Serious illnesses are difficult, and they're hard, and they cause us to be mad and cause people to be mad at you, Lord, because thinking you're the one that's dropped it on them.
David Spoon:Lord, in this time that KnB is going through this, pull her back to you.
David Spoon:Let the enemy's words drop like lead, and let the truth come forward and pull her back to you.
David Spoon:Lord, I pray for Jeff right now.
David Spoon:He's going to go through that surgery, just wants it to go well, wants everything to be well.
David Spoon:I pray against any fear, any.
David Spoon:Any deep reservation in the context of the Lord.
David Spoon:Just give him that peace that passes all understanding.
David Spoon:Let him have the comfort that comes from you, for you are the God of comfort.
David Spoon:And we pray that you'd encourage him.
David Spoon:I want to pray for my wife.
David Spoon:She's my bestest and my best gift.
David Spoon:And I am asking you, Lord, I don't even know what she's going through.
David Spoon:It's just she's got this jaw issue and it hurts her, Lord, and it distracts her and keeps her, you know, it's like the enemy using it or something.
David Spoon:And we just ask you right now, in the name of Jesus, to bring your healing power into Noelle's jaw and whatever that is that's going on, work it so that it's not the problem.
David Spoon:The pain, the discomfort that she's going through.
David Spoon:Pour out your grace and your mercy upon her and upon KMB and upon Jeff.
David Spoon:Bless these people and love on them.
David Spoon:We pray.
David Spoon:We just thank you for everything and pray this in the powerful and awesome name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:And amen.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Okie dokie.
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:Alright, so.
David Spoon:And that's something that we want to be able to do is always is pray for one another and take care of one another.
David Spoon:So we'll do this segment a little different because why?
David Spoon:Why would you.
David Spoon:Why would you.
David Spoon:Why would you be surprised?
David Spoon:I'm still gonna offer up a trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's see if you guys can get this one.
David Spoon:It's a tough one.
David Spoon:So we'll go for about five minutes.
David Spoon:Naomi told the people in Bethlehem to call her what?
David Spoon:Ruth, chapter one, verse 20.
David Spoon:Naomi told the people in Bethlehem to call her what?
David Spoon:What was the name she told them to call her?
David Spoon:Ooh, tough one, right?
David Spoon:Ruth, chapter one, verse 20.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:wow, tough, tough trivia question there.
David Spoon:And on purpose.
David Spoon:Because sometimes, just so you guys can know, when I give the easy questions, people are like, they're too easy.
David Spoon:And then I give the hard questions.
David Spoon:It's like, they're too hard.
David Spoon:It's kind of like Goldilocks.
David Spoon:And the three pairs, it's like, yeah, that never works out quite the way we think it's gonna.
David Spoon:All right, I do wanna remind people that our ambassadors 2.0 is on the website, which has got the brochures.
David Spoon:So some of those brochures Roslyn created and some were the original brochures.
David Spoon:Got two kinds of business cards and we got a couple of different bumper stickers, which are really, really good.
David Spoon:And so I just want you to be aware, on the website, under ambassadors, it's kinda got a new look.
David Spoon:It's not perfect, but it's good.
David Spoon:And we're making it better and better.
David Spoon:And it's kind of one of the things we want to do.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Just continually improving.
David Spoon:And then don't forget, I'm still praying about how to do a thing where we can engage with one another from a business point of view.
David Spoon:I haven't quite figured that whole thing out yet, but I'm sure we will.
David Spoon:Okay, your trivia question.
David Spoon:Naomi told the people in Bethlehem to call her.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:We have somebody on the line.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
:Doctor Spoan, this is Fred.
:How are you doing today?
David Spoon:I'm doing great, Fred.
David Spoon:How are you doing?
:I'm doing just fine, sir.
David Spoon:Awesome.
David Spoon:Awesome.
David Spoon:Always great to hear from you, my brother.
David Spoon:I just want you to know that you're a blessing, so we appreciate you.
:Thank you.
David Spoon:Okay.
:Thank you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Tough question for a lot of people.
David Spoon:Not everybody, but a lot of people.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:Naomi told the people in Bethlehem, according to Ruth, 120, to call her what.
:She told him to call her Mara.
:M a r a, Mara.
David Spoon:That is correct, Amanda.
David Spoon:And why did she want them to call her Mara?
:Because she was bitter.
:She was so bitter.
:Like most of us can get sometimes when we're going through things.
:We all experienced moral in our lives also.
David Spoon:That is exactly right, brother.
David Spoon:And that's what takes place when people.
David Spoon:It's like when things don't go the way that we thought they were planned out to go.
David Spoon:And that.
David Spoon:Here's the amazing thing.
David Spoon:So she's thinking it was a very tough.
David Spoon:It wasn't.
David Spoon:None of it was easy.
David Spoon:It was very difficult.
David Spoon:But she was really hurting and she wasn't even.
David Spoon:I mean, you have to love people who are straightforward and honest in the kingdom.
David Spoon:She's like, just.
David Spoon:Just call me Mara, because I am bitter.
David Spoon:I am just.
David Spoon:So now what happens, of course, is the end result is way past what anybody could ever anticipate, ultimately leading to King David and ultimately leading to Christ.
David Spoon:But it doesn't feel that way when you're going through it.
David Spoon:And that's the problem as we get so focused on us that we are failing to see the biggest part of the picture, which is God's.
David Spoon:Absolutely.
:Absolutely.
:And the scripture comes to my mind.
:And this is awesome scripture because it seems almost like an oxymoron.
:The scripture says, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which comes upon all of us.
:The writer said, don't think it's strange.
:It's coming.
:You're going to go through something, but don't think it's strange because many are the afflictions of the righteous.
:But the Lord said in psalms 30, 419 that he shall deliver us from out of them all.
David Spoon:How many is all, Fred?
:Everybody.
David Spoon:Everybody.
David Spoon:How?
David Spoon:Every affliction?
David Spoon:Every.
David Spoon:How many is all?
David Spoon:I'll look it up in the dictionary.
David Spoon:Gee.
David Spoon:Every one.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:That's amazing.
:Everything you go through.
:Everything you go through.
:That's an awesome scripture.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Awesome, awesome scripture.
David Spoon:Awesome, Cher.
David Spoon:And a great, great job.
David Spoon:I really appreciate it, brother.
:God bless you.
:I hang up and listen, sir.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:So what we're gonna do is we're gonna take our break here and come back, and maybe we'll get into Romans.
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:We'll see.
David Spoon:We'll get there.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David spoon experience right here on KAam, 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:The David spoon experience, verse 39.
David Spoon:When they came up out of the water, the spirit of the Lord caught Philip away.
David Spoon:The eunuch never saw him again, but went on his way.
David Spoon:Rejoicing, verse 40.
David Spoon:Meanwhile, Philip found himself farther north at the city of Azotus.
David Spoon:He preached the good news there and in every city along the way until he came to Caesarea.
David Spoon:He was in Caesarea, by the way, for 20 years, which explains why he had the daughters.
David Spoon:But here's what I want you to catch.
David Spoon:While he was in route, he landed in Zodus.
David Spoon:However he got from point a to point b is amazing.
David Spoon:We don't even know.
David Spoon:But what he did was he preached the gospel in every city along the way until he came to his destination.
David Spoon:And if you cannot recognize that is a testimony from God saying, you take the gospel wherever you go until you reach your destination, which is either you being called up to the Lord personally, corporately, or however it's going to take place.
David Spoon:Every place we go, everywhere we are, we take the gospel.
David Spoon:That does not mean you grab a, you know, microphone.
David Spoon:It does not mean you grab some kind of bullhorn and scream at people with the gospel.
David Spoon:You just make sure that you are sensitive.
David Spoon:That's the very DNA we talk about all the time.
David Spoon:You're sensitive to the Lord.
David Spoon:You're taking the gospel with you wherever you go.
David Spoon:You're recognizing that wherever you go.
David Spoon:You might have a one time encounter with somebody and they might make a decision for Jesus just based on that encounter.
David Spoon:Noelle and I had that exact thing happen on our way from San Diego to Rockwell to fate.
David Spoon:And we met somebody at a, from a hotel that we were at and talked to them one time and prayed with her and she became a Christian and we never saw her again.
David Spoon:It's not our call.
David Spoon:It's up to the Lord.
David Spoon:Just be available.
David Spoon:You don't have to be.
David Spoon:That's the word I'm looking for.
David Spoon:You don't have to be Billy Graham.
David Spoon:Like I said, billy Graham wasn't Billy Graham.
David Spoon:In other words, just be yourself.
David Spoon:Be available.
David Spoon:You never know what the Lord will do and how he'll use that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:That's what's so cool about this test.
David Spoon:We finished up to chapter eight, now acts, chapter nine.
David Spoon:We're going into Saul, and that is some serious stuff.
David Spoon:Here is the trivia question.
David Spoon:What was the affliction of the woman who was touched, who touched the hem of Jesus robe?
David Spoon:And she had an issue with bleeding, an issue of blood for quite some time, as we know.
David Spoon:Twelve years.
David Spoon:The issue of blood.
David Spoon:That is what she sought the Lord for.
David Spoon:And she touched him.
David Spoon:And then Jesus healed her physically, socially, psychologically and emotionally altogether at one time.
David Spoon:Isn't that cool?
David Spoon:Jesus is cool.
David Spoon:On Christ the solid rock I stand all other grounded.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at kam.
David Spoon:770 the truth station here in Texas is k double amen.
David Spoon:770 the truth station here in Texas, where we do have another trivia question.
David Spoon:This show of late in the last couple of weeks and months has just been going.
David Spoon:It's like its own little thing.
David Spoon:Follow the follow the yellow brick road kind of thing.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Anyway, here you go.
David Spoon:How did the city of, how did the city that Jonah was sent to.
David Spoon:How did the city that Jonah was sent to react to God's message of destruction?
David Spoon:So Jonah was sent to Nineveh.
David Spoon:How did Nineveh react?
David Spoon:How did they respond to Jonah's preaching?
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:How did they react?
David Spoon:Jonah, chapter three, verse eight.
David Spoon:How did they respond?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:I did catch and I wanted you guys, I hope you guys caught that, that fill about me talking about sharing with somebody on the way.
David Spoon:That's the same thing Roslyn brought up.
David Spoon:And it's just amazing whenever the fills connect at this point, just like, wow, what's going on?
David Spoon:So good catch, Eric, and I'm glad you saw that as well.
David Spoon:All right, so your trivia question, how did the people in Nineveh respond to Jonah?
David Spoon:According to, I mean, you should be able to find this Jonah, chapter three, verse eight.
David Spoon:How do the people respond to God's message of destruction?
David Spoon:If you think, you know, give us a holler.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:David@hemustincrease.org dot I am going to encourage you to give because we need giving.
David Spoon:You like how I do that?
David Spoon:Oh, I can do all the things you want.
David Spoon:I can come up with all the little clever things or whatever.
David Spoon:Look, if the Lord puts it on your heart, give, okay?
David Spoon:We're just a normal, small, little nonprofit group.
David Spoon:Let's see.
David Spoon:Jacob's actually an employee of the radio show, so the group is me.
David Spoon:Well, that's kind of a joke.
David Spoon:It's also Noelle and Aunt Deb, but I'm just saying it's a small nonprofit group and we do the best we can.
David Spoon:If you can give, that's great.
David Spoon:And if you can't, don't worry about it.
David Spoon:We just trust that the Lord's going to help us.
David Spoon:But we believe the Lord does take care of his people through his people.
David Spoon:Great.
David Spoon:Cool.
David Spoon:Check it out.
David Spoon:Go to the website.
David Spoon:He must increase.org prayer request he must increase.org dot praise report amosincruise.org dot looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org dot confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org he must increase.org abominable.
Promotional Narrator:Can you believe that?
Promotional Narrator:Do I look abominable to you?
Promotional Narrator:Why can't they call me the adorable snowman or the agreeable snowman, for crying out loud?
Promotional Narrator:I'm a nice guy.
David Spoon:I got nothing on that.
David Spoon:It's just funny.
David Spoon:I'm a nice guy.
David Spoon:What do they call me abominable for?
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:To the text.
David Spoon:We are actually going to go.
David Spoon:Romans, chapter seven.
David Spoon:I'm picking up at verse 18.
David Spoon:If you remember, last week we talked.
David Spoon:This is really important to understand.
David Spoon:I am not trying to put people in a box.
David Spoon:And by that I am saying this.
David Spoon:The Lord is teaching all of us to be more and more like Jesus.
David Spoon:It's an ever increasing glory.
David Spoon:It's step by step, okay?
David Spoon:There's no if ands or buts about that.
David Spoon:In that as we are becoming more like Christ, you can tell he's taking things out of us and adding things into us.
David Spoon:That's part of the process.
David Spoon:That's part of our growth process, right?
David Spoon:That's normal.
David Spoon:He's helping us eradicate from the power we've already had.
David Spoon:The power has already been doused, so to speak.
David Spoon:But some of us touch base with the old person a little too often or visit the old neighborhood a little too often, and then that becomes problematic.
David Spoon:And the Lord's trying to help us to get past this.
David Spoon:So Paul is identifying with that and sharing that, and he picks it up in verse 18.
David Spoon:And I want to get to this one particular point.
David Spoon:He says, I know I am rotten through and through.
David Spoon:So far as my old sinful nature is concerned.
David Spoon:Let me stop right there.
David Spoon:Not every part of you is rotten.
David Spoon:Rotten.
David Spoon:The part of you that's still connecting to the old sinful nature, that part is rotten.
David Spoon:And there's nothing wrong.
David Spoon:And he's like, look, I'm rotten through and through that as far as my old nature is concerned, there ain't nothing good.
David Spoon:He says this, he says, no matter which way I turn, I can't make myself do right.
David Spoon:I want to, but I can't.
David Spoon:When I want to do good, I don't.
David Spoon:And when I just try not to do wrong, I do it anyway.
David Spoon:But if I'm doing what I don't want to do, I'm not really the one doing it.
David Spoon:The sin within me is doing it.
David Spoon:What I love about this text that I think that people need to understand is Paul in his growth.
David Spoon:And he's still, I know Romans.
David Spoon:He's grown as much as he can.
David Spoon:Ridiculous.
David Spoon:Paul grew to the point where he knew that John Mark would be helpful for the ministry.
David Spoon:That's not how he felt earlier when he separated from him.
David Spoon:So Paul grew.
David Spoon:Everybody's growing.
David Spoon:You don't stop growing until you are 100% exactly like Jesus, which we all know it's not gonna happen here.
David Spoon:But when we see him face to face, we'll see him as he is, and then we'll be like him.
David Spoon:So that'll be a lot different.
David Spoon:But Paul says this fascinating thing, and I want you to pick up on it.
David Spoon:He's like, you know what I mean?
David Spoon:In my old man, there's just nothing good.
David Spoon:But, you know, the other part about this is, I'm not really the one doing that.
David Spoon:Now.
David Spoon:How can he say, I mean, if this guy went to a shrink, if this guy went to a psychiatrist, not trying to insult anybody, but if he went to a psychiatrist, they'd say, you need Prozac party.
David Spoon:You.
David Spoon:Is this part of you?
David Spoon:Is this part of this?
David Spoon:But that's exactly what it is.
David Spoon:There's a part of you, the old part of you, and you can see now, because there's a new you, a born again you.
David Spoon:You can see the old you going, yikes, that's not good.
David Spoon:I can't believe I thought that thought, you know, it's a fascinating thing, but we are way too reactionary.
David Spoon:I was talking with somebody today, somebody that's close to me, and I was talking to that person and telling them, I said, how'd this trip go?
David Spoon:How'd this go?
David Spoon:And he goes, well, I kind of blew it here.
David Spoon:I kind of did this.
David Spoon:And I said, you know, I said, if you're being reactionary, then you're almost always operating out of the flesh.
David Spoon:But if you're being reactionary, then you're operating in the new man.
David Spoon:Because when you react, it's usually a knee jerk kind of response.
David Spoon:But when you act, it's thought through first.
David Spoon:And so Paul is going, there's this part of me that's just, like, so bad, and it keeps doing the wrong thing.
David Spoon:And then he says, it's not even me doing it.
David Spoon:I don't like that part of me.
David Spoon:But you see, that's a phenomenal truth because God doesn't like that part of you either.
David Spoon:And now you don't like that part of you either.
David Spoon:And you and God are on the exact same side of which part of you you like.
David Spoon:And that's just a great affirmation to you, growing in the Lord, that you are smart enough, wise enough, alert enough to distinguish between the things that you do that you know as bad and the things that you do that are, that's good.
David Spoon:That distinguishment helps you understand that you're on the right track.
David Spoon:I understand.
David Spoon:I understand that people get frustrated, and I get frustrated.
David Spoon:But let me explain something to you.
David Spoon:When you are challenged by the Lord and you have that moment of remorse, that is the greatest signal in the universe that you are a Christian.
David Spoon:Because non Christians don't care, but christians do, isn't that cool?
David Spoon:So when you look at it and you go, that part of me, I hate that part of me dance, because you are aligning with God, that there's that part of you that's like, yikes, the old you, the old neighborhood, praise the Lord.
David Spoon:You can see it because God has enabled you to see it.
David Spoon:You get that?
David Spoon:That's just cool.
David Spoon:It's just cool.
David Spoon:All right, we do have somebody ready to answer trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
:Hey, this is your little brother.
:But yeah, just tell.
:Tell me the trivia question, please.
David Spoon:So you don't know the trivia question?
David Spoon:Just calling in.
:Yes.
David Spoon:So you didn't hear the whole buildup when I told everybody that everybody was giving you $10 million?
:No, I'll take a billion because million is nothing in there, okay?
:Because biodynamics is working.
David Spoon:Okay, I'm just checking with you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:How did this, the city Nineveh, react to Jonah's message that God was going to destroy them?
David Spoon:How did the city respond?
:Oh, they repented.
David Spoon:That is correct, Amundo.
David Spoon:They repented.
David Spoon:They were like, uh oh, we got trouble here.
David Spoon:They not only repented, the animals repented.
David Spoon:I mean, everything repented in the entire city, and then God gave them the break because they repented.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:You there?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:How you doing, bro?
:Actually, I would love to receive some prayer because I'm feeling very tired today.
David Spoon:Okay.
:I have to work the rest of the day.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:So you need some energy from the Lord, right?
:Yes.
David Spoon:All right, let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:We lift up Samson to you.
David Spoon:We ask you to bless and encourage him.
David Spoon:Lord, he's got to work the rest of the day.
David Spoon:But, lord, sometimes work can be more draining, and there's other things that are going on that feel like that drain is part of that.
David Spoon:But what we're asking for is that he would see something that he hasn't seen for a while.
David Spoon:I pray right now, in the name of Jesus, that Samson would become energized in his work, that as he's doing the work, there would be more energy, more than he thought.
David Spoon:And that, Lord, you would keep pouring that energy into him so that he finds he is moving much faster, much quicker, much more thoroughly, because he's doing it in partnership with you.
David Spoon:And he's not doing this on his own.
David Spoon:It's not based just on his own body or his own mind or his own thought processes, but that the spirit of goddess is working with him.
David Spoon:And when that happens, Lord, miracles take place, and the kingdom of God manifests.
David Spoon:So manifest the kingdom of God in his life and let him see that energy increase as he's about your business, give him that energy to continue and keep moving forward.
David Spoon:We pray for him, pray for his family.
David Spoon:Pray for his safe thoughts in his heart and mind that he would just be in safety and confidence in you.
David Spoon:We pray this in Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
:Amen and amen.
:Hey, David.
:Yes, I will statement to make.
:Do you know the Bible says men will be in, in heaven half an hour before the women's?
David Spoon:I'm going to go with your revelation, chapter eight, verse one, reference.
:I think you're truly correct.
David Spoon:Go ahead and tell everybody your joke.
David Spoon:I didn't permit it.
David Spoon:You got it.
David Spoon:It's your life on the line.
David Spoon:Go ahead, tell them why.
David Spoon:Tell them why.
:Oh, okay.
:Because the revelation eight one says, and when he had opened the 7th seal, there was a silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
:So pretty quiet.
David Spoon:Ladies and gentlemen, direct your comments to Samson in regards to that joke.
David Spoon:I just want to point that out to you.
David Spoon:Thank you for.
:Hey, I have a biblical ground to protect myself, so.
David Spoon:All right, brother.
David Spoon:I got.
:I will fight any opposition on the ground of biblical reference, okay?
:Even if I have to sleep outside the door.
David Spoon:Yes, you and you might have to.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Good job, brother.
David Spoon:God bless you, bro.
:Hey, I love you.
David Spoon:I love you, brother.
David Spoon:God blessed.
:God bless.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take a break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on kam, 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
Narrative Voice:Like any person searching for answers, I too have wondered about him.
Narrative Voice:He has a weird sense of humor.
Narrative Voice:If people are seeking wisdom and insight from the great teachers around the world, would they go to David?
Narrative Voice:No, I don't think so.
Narrative Voice:Those big ears really don't help.
Narrative Voice:Will people enjoy his perspective on culture, politics, food, sports, and local and national news?
Narrative Voice:I don't know.
Narrative Voice:He's just a client.
Narrative Voice:Tune in to the David Spoon experience on Kam.
Narrative Voice:What is the David Spoon experience?
David Spoon:Regardless of what the world says, regardless of what politics say, regardless of what different people say, jesus does one thing better than anybody else.
David Spoon:He brings hope.
David Spoon:That's like, wait, this could be different.
David Spoon:And in verse 29, she touches Jesus and immediately her bleeding stops, right?
David Spoon:She.
David Spoon:The Bible says, look at it.
David Spoon:Immediately her bleeding stopped.
David Spoon:She felt it in her body.
David Spoon:She was freed from her suffering.
David Spoon:You know, people will say, well, I mean, how do you know if you're healed?
David Spoon:I got a message for you.
David Spoon:When the Lord.
David Spoon:When you touch the Lord and power comes from the Lord into your life, you know, she knew.
David Spoon:Not only did she knew, Jesus knew.
David Spoon:And jesus was like, okay, who touched me?
David Spoon:Who touched me, power went out for me, right?
David Spoon:And then the disciples are okay, look, there's like a thousand people right next to you.
David Spoon:How are we supposed to.
David Spoon:Now, why did jesus do all that?
David Spoon:Watch this.
David Spoon:This is just one of those absolute mind blowers.
David Spoon:The first thing that happens to her is her issue of blood ceases to exist because she touches Jesus.
David Spoon:We would call that a physical healing.
David Spoon:She was physically healed.
David Spoon:She had an issue of blood, and that's a problem.
David Spoon:And she couldn't do anything to help it.
David Spoon:But when she was able to touch Jesus, bam, the physical healing happened.
David Spoon:But then Jesus does this such weird thing because he's so cool that it just fits the whole thing.
David Spoon:He says, who touched me?
David Spoon:And they're all like going, okay, well, you know, take a look around, dude.
David Spoon:There's a lot of people here.
David Spoon:And he's like, who touched me?
David Spoon:And then the woman said it was me.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Jesus not only physically healed her, watch this.
David Spoon:He socially healed her because a woman who had an issue of blood was not allowed to have the same level of public contact as everybody else.
David Spoon:So he heals her physically and then calls her up in front of everybody and goes, yeah, you're well now, huh?
David Spoon:It's just think about the moment.
David Spoon:And instead of saying anything negative or anything, because God's not like that, he's like, oh, your faith has healed you.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:Your faith and confidence in you touching me made the difference.
David Spoon:You're physically healed.
David Spoon:And let everybody who's around you know you are no longer to be untouched because you touched me.
David Spoon:Now you're socially healed.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAAM, 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Ka Men 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:We only have a few minutes left because that is how the show has gone.
David Spoon:I just want to point out it has just been one of those shows.
David Spoon:I mean, there's not a lot I can say.
David Spoon:So I'll just ask this last trivia question.
David Spoon:If you can get it in, fine.
David Spoon:If you're going to call, you got to be super fast.
David Spoon:In what city was Jesus brought up as a child?
David Spoon:Jesus of.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter two, verse 23.
David Spoon:In what city was Jesus brought up as a child?
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:And for those that just think of, it's Jesus of.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:And what city was brought up as a child?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:He must increase.org.
David Spoon:okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Different kind of show.
David Spoon:But listen, just think about what Jesus.
David Spoon:It's Jesus of, right?
David Spoon:You don't want to say it's Jesus of, you know, Birmingham.
David Spoon:That's not what it is.
David Spoon:So Jesus of what?
David Spoon:That's what you're looking for.
David Spoon:Get that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Just trying to make sure it's obvious.
David Spoon:Somebody ready to answer a trivia question.
David Spoon:They know it's fast, right?
David Spoon:All right, let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
:Hi, David, it's me again.
:Two in a row.
David Spoon:How you doing?
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:We're on a tight, tight, tight, tight timeframe, so I'm going to throw it right at you.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:Are you ready?
:Sure.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:In what city was Jesus brought up?
David Spoon:So they called him Jesus of Nazareth.
David Spoon:That is correct a mundo.
David Spoon:Remember?
David Spoon:What did Philip say?
David Spoon:Can anything good come out of Nazareth?
David Spoon:Like, not really.
David Spoon:Was not the best place in the world.
David Spoon:It had a bad reputation.
David Spoon:But that's okay because something brilliant came out and that was Jesus Christ, which is a lesson all by itself.
David Spoon:Out of something, you could never think something good can come, came the greatest ever that savior.
:Amen.
David Spoon:I agree that that is a big, big deal.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:So very, very good.
David Spoon:God bless you and thank you for being a part of our show.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, bye bye.
David Spoon:Okay, so I can't go into Romans right now, but I will tell you this, and this is really important point, okay.
David Spoon:We're just now getting to the point in Romans chapter seven, we're at like verse 21, 22 and 23.
David Spoon:Actually 23, where everything is going to change in the theology.
David Spoon:And this is how the books are written.
David Spoon:So we've been going through it piece by piece, and you can do it.
David Spoon:It's better sometimes to know it from an outline point of view.
David Spoon:But what I want you to understand is when you're struggling in sin and you're having a hard time, first of all, you're not alone, okay?
David Spoon:There are other people that struggle, but you're really not alone because the Lord knows you're struggling with it.
David Spoon:It doesn't give approval to the sin.
David Spoon:The Lord's not saying, I love the sin, I love the sin.
David Spoon:Is that what God's saying?
David Spoon:But what God is saying is, I know, and I am going to help you grow through the process.
David Spoon:The thing I want you to remember is that sin doesn't own you.
David Spoon:God owns you.
David Spoon:The sin is an irritant, a nice way to put it is you get out of the pool and sometimes your eyes are hurt because of the chlorine because it makes your eyes red.
David Spoon:And so on and so forth.
David Spoon:That's what that sin is like.
David Spoon:But that sin, that struggle does not stop you from being a child of God.
David Spoon:You are God's property, and he loves you.
David Spoon:And just so we can be on the same page he paid the blood of Jesus for you.
David Spoon:That is your worth.
David Spoon:Not what you do, but whose you are.
David Spoon:That is your worth.
David Spoon:Hi, my name's David.
David Spoon:I'm a child of the most high God.
David Spoon:That's how we should be talking, right?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, folks, you've been listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kaam, 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:22 and a half hour break, then we'll come back.
David Spoon:More insanity with spoonanity talk to you then who knows when a broken heart will?
