Why the Rainbow Belongs to God: Insights from Genesis 9
David Spoon delves into the profound implications of God's covenant with Noah, emphasizing that it extends beyond humanity to include all living creatures. He highlights the significance of the rainbow as a divine sign of this eternal promise, asserting that it symbolizes God's commitment never to destroy the earth again through a flood. Throughout the discussion, David challenges contemporary interpretations of environmental concerns, reminding listeners that God's word guarantees the earth's stability despite climate fears. He also reflects on personal experiences and biblical truths, fostering a connection between scripture and daily life. With a blend of humor and heartfelt insight, David encourages listeners to recognize the depth of God's mercy and the unchanging nature of His promises.
Spoon also addresses the misconceptions surrounding the rainbow and its cultural appropriation, asserting that it fundamentally belongs to God. In a robust discussion that intertwines theology with social commentary, he critiques the appropriation of the rainbow symbol in modern contexts, emphasizing the need to reclaim its biblical significance. The dialogue shifts to a broader reflection on societal values and the importance of understanding one's identity as a follower of Christ amidst cultural shifts. By framing the conversation around themes of identity, belonging, and divine promise, Spoon challenges listeners to not only celebrate their faith but also to engage critically with the world around them. This multifaceted approach to the episode encourages a holistic understanding of the Christian faith that is both intellectually stimulating and spiritually enriching, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of purpose and connection to God's promises.

Enough for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's experience.
David Spoon:It's marvelous, monumental.
David Spoon:Most fascinating, massively mind bending Monday as we join our hearts and minds as one, drawing closer to the king of kings and glorifying his name.
David Spoon:First, things are starting to heat up for us as we dive back into Genesis, chapter nine, picking it up around verse eight.
David Spoon:We're actually going to step back to six, but we're going to say it from eight.
David Spoon:Here is an amazing portion of scripture that many people will miss, so let's hope we don't.
David Spoon:In verse eight and nine, God makes a covenant with Noah and his descendants.
David Spoon:And in verse ten, with the animals that Noah brought with him on the ark.
David Spoon:That's right.
David Spoon:God made a covenant with the animals.
David Spoon:Don't tell anybody who's a dispensationalist.
David Spoon:God made a covenant with the animals.
David Spoon:From this covenant, by the way, we understand from the New Testament that it means God knows every sparrow that falls to the ground.
David Spoon:That's how serious that covenant is.
David Spoon:Next, verse eleven.
David Spoon:God makes the promise never to send another flood that will kill all creatures and destroy all the earth.
David Spoon:This does not mean there will not be floods, nor does it mean that floods cannot happen other ways.
David Spoon:But what God ensures is that the world will never again be flooded to the point of destroying mankind.
David Spoon:So for all those climate warmongers, go to the bank, take out a loan and buy a clue.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Finally, when the rainbow appears, God will remember the covenant he made with Noah.
David Spoon:One of the reasons is because the rainbow belongs to God and he will restrain the level of flooding because of it.
David Spoon:When he sees the rainbow, he will remember.
David Spoon:When he sees God sees the rainbow, he'll remember his mercy.
David Spoon:When God sees Jesus in you and me, he remembers his mercy.
David Spoon:It's just another testimony to the gospel.
David Spoon:In the early parts of scripture, the way that God looks at the rainbow and has mercy is the same way he looks at you and I through Jesus and has mercy.
David Spoon:And that, my friends, is very, very cool.
Narrator:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
Narrator:While growing up in a jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
Narrator:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
Narrator:The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
Narrator:After 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
Narrator:He joined Kaam and this radio program began.
Narrator:You're about to hear the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Local, national and heavenly talk.
David Spoon:Here's what else we're looking at during the show lessons for surviving living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities, and so much more.
David Spoon:Now remember, it's not professional radio.
David Spoon:And to prove that, we'll talk to the lieutenant governor of professional radio.
David Spoon:The lieutenant governor.
David Spoon:I'm not even giving you the governor line.
David Spoon:I'm just lieutenant governor.
David Spoon:You're one below the governor.
David Spoon:So now I can still use governor.
David Spoon:But anyway, to the lieutenant governor, in charge of professional radio, our very own Jamm Jacob Jamm.
David Spoon:And Jacob is the David spoon experience.
David Spoon:Professional radio.
Jacob:No, it is not, David.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:That's it.
David Spoon:That solves it.
David Spoon:You know what this show is?
David Spoon:It's a radio show.
David Spoon:Is it professional?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:Is it a show?
David Spoon:Sometimes.
David Spoon:Is it weird?
David Spoon:You bet.
David Spoon:You're listening.
David Spoon:That proves it right there.
David Spoon:Okay, so let's move on from there.
David Spoon:What is the deal then?
David Spoon:Well, here's the deal.
David Spoon:We want to hear from you.
David Spoon:So you can email us davidmusincrease.org dot.
David Spoon:That's davidmusincrease.org dot.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Call us.
David Spoon:You can call us like on a telephone?
David Spoon:Yeah, it's been around for a while.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob is like knowing that your spiritual radio family has your back.
David Spoon:Aw.
David Spoon:Aw, that's nice.
Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jacob:Happy Monday.
David Spoon:Happy Monday to you, my friend.
David Spoon:Of course, we did say, and we'll get to that in a little bit.
David Spoon:We'll be doing Jake's take.
David Spoon:And by the way, how was your weekend?
David Spoon:Was it a good weekend?
Jacob:It was good.
Jacob:Speaking of Jake's take.
Jacob:Yes, we'll be talking about it later.
Jacob:A very close football game, right, David?
Jacob:That happened yesterday.
David Spoon:It was that close game.
David Spoon:It wasn't.
David Spoon:I think you're talking about the game that was on Thursday.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:Because it was close, right?
David Spoon:Right.
Jacob:The Thursday game.
David Spoon:That's what it is.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Anyway, we'll get to that.
David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:Why would you reach out to us?
David Spoon:Why would you call us?
David Spoon:Why would you text us?
David Spoon:Why would you email us?
David Spoon:You can share a praise report and we want you to.
David Spoon:Okay, testimony time.
David Spoon:And I've told people before, I won't share the story right now.
David Spoon:It is one of the best stories in the world.
David Spoon:When, when Billy and Bruce and Larry and myself went to a church and they did testimony time.
David Spoon:And sometimes testimony time can go really long.
David Spoon:Okay, now we don't do that on the show, but it can go long in a lot of churches.
David Spoon:I don't know if you've been around there or not, but bottom line is, look, you have an opportunity to testify.
David Spoon:If the Lord's done something for you, testify.
David Spoon:It honors God, it blesses people, it strengthens you.
David Spoon:That's just a good thing.
David Spoon:Additionally, maybe you've got a prayer request.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:That too is a good thing.
David Spoon:I mean, I think Jesus pretty clear in the sermon on the mount, ask.
David Spoon:He didn't say, you don't think about asking.
David Spoon:He said ask.
David Spoon:And then you ask the Lord for help.
David Spoon:Does it happen the way you think it should or in the timing you should?
David Spoon:Hardly ever.
David Spoon:But does it happen you bethe?
David Spoon:He always answers.
David Spoon:He might answer yes.
David Spoon:He might answer no.
David Spoon:He might answer, hold please.
David Spoon:But he answers.
David Spoon:And so you have the opportunity for that.
David Spoon:You have the opportunity to share scripture, share anything that's on your heart, something that's just blessed you.
David Spoon:Totally cool.
David Spoon:Totally awesome.
David Spoon:You also have an opportunity for Bible trivia, which we do, which we think is important because keeping the word of God at the forefront of our thoughts is critical to maintaining an active relationship with, with God.
David Spoon:And so here's our next trivia question.
David Spoon:Your reference, by the way.
David Spoon:First Samuel 16.
David Spoon:Whoa.
David Spoon: First Samuel: David Spoon:King Saul had a very troubled spirit.
David Spoon:Of course, it's actually an evil spirit.
David Spoon:King Saul had a troubling evil spirit that can only be soothed by what?
David Spoon:Dude had a very dark thing going on.
David Spoon:Could only be soothed by what?
David Spoon: First Samuel: David Spoon:What is it that seemed to bring Saul temporary relief?
David Spoon:That's what you're looking for.
David Spoon: First Samuel: David Spoon:If you think you know the answer, by the way, is keep it very simple.
David Spoon:All you gotta do is call 972.
David Spoon:What's the number?
David Spoon:You gotta call 972.
David Spoon:What's the number?
David Spoon: : David Spoon:You can do what?
David Spoon:You can text.
David Spoon:It's a text, you know, you can text.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:there's a lot of stuff there.
David Spoon:Davidmisincrease.org dot.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:What could soothe King Saul's very troubled, evil spirit that was giving him such a hard time?
David Spoon:What can soothe that first?
David Spoon: Samuel: David Spoon:But he is on the line.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Caller:Hi, David, this is Don.
David Spoon:Hi, Don, how are you?
Caller:Well, I haven't called you in a while.
Caller:Cause I always just love to listen to you.
David Spoon:That's very kind of you, brother.
David Spoon:That is very, very kind of you.
David Spoon:Very nice of you to say.
David Spoon:How are things?
David Spoon:You're doing better now.
David Spoon:Now the hot weather from what I hear.
David Spoon:Yeah, we're done with them.
David Spoon:That's what I hear.
David Spoon:I know.
David Spoon:We're coming down to the end of it, right?
Caller:I hope so.
David Spoon:Me too, brother.
Caller:I've had enough of it.
Caller:Kinda.
Caller:I don't know, maybe I shouldn't say that.
David Spoon:But anyway, we used to say in Arizona, when it was August 15 and 16th in Arizona, if this is hot, why would you want to go to that other place?
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:I mean.
David Spoon:Anyway.
David Spoon:All right, my brother, let me set it up for you.
David Spoon:Saul had a very troubling spirit that could only be soothed by.
Caller:Well, I think I did not look this up, but I remember reading this.
Caller:Wasn't the music that David did.
David Spoon:That is correct, Amanda.
Caller:I knew it was the music.
David Spoon:So your answer could have been harp.
David Spoon:It could have been music.
David Spoon:It could have been the instrument David played.
David Spoon:What we know about David's songs for sure is that we get to see a multitude of them, over 100 of them in the Psalms.
David Spoon:So we know they're very worship oriented songs.
David Spoon:So we know that that was a great deliverance against that spirit that the Lord allowed Saul to have.
David Spoon:And that gave him temporary, not permanent, but temporary relief.
David Spoon:Excellent, excellent job in answering the trivia question.
Caller:All right, sir, thank you.
Caller:I'll try to.
Caller:I'll try to call back a little bit more regularly.
David Spoon:That's.
David Spoon:You're.
David Spoon:You're doing just exactly what you need to do.
David Spoon:And I love it.
David Spoon:And you know you're always welcome to call.
Caller:Thank you, David.
Caller:And God bless you.
David Spoon:God bless you too, brother.
Caller:I listen to you every day.
David Spoon:I would.
David Spoon:I would take aspirin if I were you.
David Spoon:That's all right, bro.
David Spoon:Bye bye bye.
David Spoon:I tell that to people.
David Spoon:When we first started this show, you guys probably don't know this, but when we first started this show about five and a half years ago here in Texas, we told people, stock up ibuprofen, get a lot of it.
David Spoon:That's what we tell people, what are you gonna do?
David Spoon:All right, let's do our DNA.
David Spoon:That's what we're gonna do.
David Spoon:D stands for draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:So it's very simple.
David Spoon:Every day that you breathe, spend some time with God, separated, so that it's you and God and not you and God and interruptions.
David Spoon:Now, that doesn't mean that if you're driving, you can't pray.
David Spoon:Nobody's saying that.
David Spoon:And I'm not trying to make it legalistic that way.
David Spoon:What I'm trying to do is.
David Spoon:Cause, like, when I drive and I pray, which I do a lot of, okay, I just turn my phone off.
David Spoon:I just turn all music off, everything.
David Spoon:I pay attention to my driving, but it's like me and the Lord and I, sorry, I'm one of those weird people.
David Spoon:I think God is with us.
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:I've read that somewhere in 500 places, and I just assume he's in the front seat with me and talk to him like that.
David Spoon:Maybe occasionally he says, slow down.
David Spoon:I don't know, just leave it there anyway.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:That's d of our DNA.
David Spoon:And never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:It's just getting more and more.
David Spoon:What's the word?
David Spoon:I want to say?
David Spoon:It's getting more and more split that if you stand up for the word of God, you will likely face some kind of blowback from somewhere, because Satan is just not happy about it and he's trying to eliminate the use of the word of God.
David Spoon:Because in the use of the word of God is the proclamation of God and the mercy of God and the grace of God and the wisdom of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:He doesn't want that, so he wants to shame people.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words, ever.
David Spoon:N.
David Spoon:That's the n of DNA.
David Spoon:And then a, always be ready.
Jacob:To serve.
David Spoon:To serve.
David Spoon:Just, man, be ready.
David Spoon:I just.
David Spoon:I really believe this.
David Spoon:If somebody said to you, I'm gonna come to your house and give you a $10,000 check, all you have to do is be ready.
David Spoon:You would be 24/7 okay?
David Spoon:But being that for God is worth much more than $10,000, think of it that way.
David Spoon:Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:D draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A, always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:I am going to tag into a little bit of this genesis, this one little earlier part that I made reference to.
David Spoon:We are in Genesis, chapter nine.
David Spoon:I do want to mention this because it is important for our lives.
David Spoon:I want to look at this one section where he talks about murder, because the last time we talked about it, we talked about God making it clear in verse three where he said, genesis nine, I have given them to you for food, just as I have given you grain and vegetables, but you must never eat animals that still have their lifeblood in them.
David Spoon:So the idea that you can't.
David Spoon:And even in the Old Testament, people say, well, you're not supposed to eat food from the Old Testament.
David Spoon:Obviously, they've never read Genesis nine, which is just tells you how bizarre people are, is like they think they know everything they've never read.
David Spoon:It's amazing how wise people are in the bible for people who have never read it.
David Spoon:It's just like.
David Spoon:It's so weird.
David Spoon:Anyhow, verse five, though, says this, and this is God talking to Noah, laying it out, right?
David Spoon:I mean, he's already gotten out.
David Spoon:He's already offered a, you know, a sacrifice unto the Lord is part of this process.
David Spoon:He's already told him, I'm not going to wipe out the earth again.
David Spoon:I'm not going to do the same thing I've done before.
David Spoon:Not the same way.
David Spoon:And then in your inversion, he said, be fruitful, multiply, right?
David Spoon:You're in charge.
David Spoon:I have placed everything in your power.
David Spoon:Verse five.
David Spoon:And murder is forbidden.
David Spoon:There's a lot of things that mankind's gonna do, but God is singling out murder, going, hey, murder.
David Spoon:This is bad.
David Spoon:He's taken it.
David Spoon:He goes from, you can eat this.
David Spoon:Oh, by the way, murder is bad.
David Spoon:Oh, by the way, for the Christian, if you hate your brother in your heart, you're a murderer.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:So then he says this.
David Spoon:Animals that kill people must die, and any person who murders must be killed.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:Yes, you must execute anyone who murders another person.
David Spoon:For to kill a person is to kill a living being made in God's image.
David Spoon:There's no.
David Spoon:There's no room here, okay?
David Spoon:There's no.
David Spoon:Well, there's no.
David Spoon:Well, this has to do with murder, okay?
David Spoon:It doesn't have to do with killing.
David Spoon:It has to do with murder.
David Spoon:And if they murder somebody, they are to be executed, okay?
David Spoon:And all those people that are like, well, that's not, you know, what about the New Testament?
David Spoon:Jesus talked about the death penalty multiple times.
David Spoon:What's amazing is people don't read, so they don't know that he said it multiple times.
David Spoon:He was never opposed to the death penalty, not once.
David Spoon:And in his parables, he made it clear in the parable of him speaking he'd say, bring those people and execute them in front of me.
David Spoon:That's what he said.
David Spoon:So people just don't bother to read, so they don't bother to care.
David Spoon:And I don't know.
David Spoon:It's very simple.
David Spoon:God not, not, not happy about murder.
David Spoon:If it's an animal, they are to be ex killed.
David Spoon:If it's a person, they are to be killed because a person, his living being, is made in God's image.
David Spoon:Again, a distinguishment between mankind and animals.
David Spoon:Isn't that right thing right there?
David Spoon:Then in verse seven, he says, now you must have many children and repopulate the earth.
David Spoon:Yes, multiply and fill the earth.
David Spoon:Have a good time.
David Spoon:Get it done.
David Spoon:That's a nice way of God saying, get busy, get busy.
David Spoon:And by the way, God's the one that made sex fun.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:It just has to be done in his realm and order, that's all.
David Spoon:Stop being a prude.
David Spoon:There's no point.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take our break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kaam, 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:Like any person searching for answers, I too have wondered about him.
David Spoon:He has a weird sense of humor.
David Spoon:If people are seeking wisdom and insight from the great teachers around the world, would they go to David?
David Spoon:No, I don't think so.
David Spoon:Those big ears really don't help.
David Spoon:Will people enjoy his perspective on culture, politics, food, sports, and local and national news?
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:He's just a client.
David Spoon:Tune in to the David Spoon experience on Kaam.
David Spoon:The David Spoon experience and that hope that is offered to us is something that's supposed to greatly encourage us.
David Spoon:Jesus brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
David Spoon:Through the gospel that Jesus died on the cross.
David Spoon:He was buried, and three days later he rose again.
David Spoon:And by faith in the testimony of God, you can live forever.
David Spoon:That hope is offered to us.
David Spoon:If that hope is offered to you, and you have not yet accepted, acknowledged and surrendered to it, I ask you to do so right this second.
David Spoon:I don't even care if you do a fancy prayer.
David Spoon:Just say, God, save me in Jesus name.
David Spoon:You will be saved.
David Spoon:If you believe that Jesus Christ died on that cross, was buried three days later, he rose again.
David Spoon:And you surrender your heart to Jesus Christ, turning from where you were and turning to him, you will find life right now.
David Spoon:And you might be out there thinking, there's no way it can be that easy.
David Spoon:Wrong.
David Spoon:But you have to receive it.
David Spoon:You have to surrender to it.
David Spoon:You have to acknowledge God's testimony and say yes to Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Doesn't matter what the world says, doesn't matter what your friends say.
David Spoon:It doesn't matter what any other family member says.
David Spoon:It only matters for your decision before God in regards to his testimony relating to Jesus Christ and your sins.
David Spoon:And that's the hope that is offered to us.
David Spoon:And we can be greatly encouraged by that.
David Spoon:And that hope is an anchor to our soul.
David Spoon:That anchor makes it so that even if the winds are heavy and the waves are intense, we don't get tossed and lost.
David Spoon:That there's some stability, that there is some, there is some strength.
David Spoon:And you can't be like these people that have no hope.
David Spoon:They have.
David Spoon:Oh, all there is is this life and there's nothing else.
David Spoon:That's why they're trying to sin their brains out, because they don't think there's anything else left.
David Spoon:But they're going to die and face God.
David Spoon:And he's going to ask regarding his, his account that he's given in relationship to Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:And they're going to have to answer.
David Spoon:And if they have rejected, then they will be as they have placed themselves as people with no hope.
David Spoon:But if you're a person that has not made that decision to say yes to Jesus Christ, make that decision right now.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAAM 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k double amen.
David Spoon:770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Oh boy.
David Spoon:If I got a challenging trivia question for you.
David Spoon:Which person in the Bible said, this is an apostle?
David Spoon:By the way, which person in the Bible said is an apostle?
David Spoon:I said, which person in the Bible said, what a wretched man I am?
David Spoon:What a wretched man I am?
David Spoon:What a wretched man I am?
David Spoon:One of the apostles said that.
David Spoon:Now I did not say which apostle.
David Spoon:I did not say which apostle.
David Spoon:In which point.
David Spoon:I will give you the reference after if people seem to be struggling with it.
David Spoon:What a wretched man I am.
David Spoon:Who can save me from this mess?
David Spoon:That's the question.
David Spoon:If you think you know the answer.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Who can save me from this mess?
David Spoon:Somebody said that we do have somebody ready to answer the trivia question.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Caller:This is Victor.
David Spoon:Hi, Victor.
David Spoon:How are you?
Caller:I'm doing wonderful.
David Spoon:And yourself?
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:I'm doing, you know, it's Monday, but I'm still having a really good Monday.
David Spoon:So I'm thinking, hey, it's a good day.
David Spoon:Whether it's a Monday or not, I'm doing phenomenal.
David Spoon:So thank you for asking me.
David Spoon:I appreciate that.
David Spoon:All right, my friend, are you ready?
David Spoon:I'll set it up for you and then you can answer, okay?
Caller:Yes, sir.
David Spoon:What Bible person said, what a wretched man I am?
David Spoon:Who can say, save me from this mess?
David Spoon:Who said that?
Caller:I think it was Paul.
David Spoon:That is correct, Amanda.
David Spoon:Sir, you are right.
David Spoon:It was Paul.
David Spoon:He's like, oh, my goodness.
David Spoon:Who could save me from this myth?
David Spoon:Thank Jesus that I got salvation.
David Spoon:It's like you just.
David Spoon:And, you know, I know people are like, well, that was his position.
David Spoon:No, no, I felt that way personally.
David Spoon:I bet a lot of people have going, I'm a mess.
David Spoon:I need to be safe from this mess.
David Spoon:It's like, yes, that's exactly it, Victor.
David Spoon:Excellent, excellent job.
David Spoon:Super good.
Caller:Well, I really appreciate your ministry, and I just really.
Caller:It's a pleasant to hear you.
Caller:And a breath of fresh air.
Caller:Thank you very much.
David Spoon:Thank you, brother.
David Spoon:And God bless you for saying that.
David Spoon:It's very kind of you.
Caller:Okay.
Caller:All right.
Caller:Bye bye.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, that's fun.
David Spoon:First time.
David Spoon:Victor reaching out.
David Spoon:Just fun, fun people, right?
David Spoon:Okay, now get ready.
David Spoon:Cause this stuff always try more.
David Spoon:Oh, you know what we do have to do?
David Spoon:Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
David Spoon:Before we do the teaching, we have to lay down the humble.
David Spoon:So let's do this.
David Spoon:Let's do Jake's take.
David Spoon:Jake's take.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:That was a.
David Spoon:That was a stutter step on that Jake's take right there.
David Spoon:I want to point that out to you.
Jacob:It wasn't working like the Cowboys weren't yesterday.
David Spoon:Tell us about what happened yesterday.
David Spoon:And right before anybody says anything else, Sergio, we love you.
David Spoon:Go ahead.
Jacob:Well, David, the Cowboys played the lions yesterday, and we talked about it before the show.
Jacob:It was close for about a quarter, and then it got really ugly.
Jacob:So congrats to your short lines.
Jacob:David.
Jacob:They.
Jacob:They looked really good against the Dallas Cowboys yesterday.
David Spoon:You know, they.
David Spoon:I'm going to say this, and, and I don't say, but they did actually look like they were very team like.
David Spoon:They look like we're very unified in, in their play.
David Spoon:And if you've been a Lions fan for as long as I've been, if you went through the Owen 16 season, so don't tell me about disappointment.
David Spoon:You can't.
David Spoon:I mean, you can't.
David Spoon:I've already gone to as far and extreme as you can go to.
David Spoon:If you look at that and think that's like, that's where, where have they been?
David Spoon:Why don't those guys show up on thanksgiving?
David Spoon:That's what I can't figure out.
Jacob:And I was.
Jacob:You're talking about them being unified.
Jacob:That's exactly what I took away from it.
Jacob:Watching them was how unified they looked.
Jacob:And I'm going to go ahead and give my prediction.
Jacob:We're a ways away from it, but they almost made the Super bowl last year.
Jacob:I think they're going to make it this year.
Jacob:That's my early prediction.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:That's a big, big prediction.
David Spoon:Wow.
Jacob:Yeah, I think, I think they're the best team in the NFC, so, yeah, I'm going to pick them to make it.
Jacob:The Dallas Cowboys aren't looking too great.
Jacob:They're, they're three and three now.
Jacob:And at this point, I don't know if the Cowboys will make the playoffs.
Jacob:They did last year, but, yeah, I don't know about this year.
David Spoon:Well, we're gonna, we're gonna see and I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna burn my shirt yet.
David Spoon:I just, I wanna see what happens.
David Spoon:But, but I was pretty happy about the game.
David Spoon:I had Don, who owns the station, he sent me an email about five minutes, four minutes left in the first quarter saying game over.
David Spoon:That's what he said.
David Spoon:Didn't hear from him the rest of the day.
David Spoon:Game over.
David Spoon:All right, now listen, we love Sergio, so.
David Spoon:Sergio, don't take this personal, okay?
David Spoon:We love you.
David Spoon:Okay.
Jacob:Yeah.
Jacob:It got to 17 to three, I believe it got to there.
Jacob:And I was thinking, oh, it's going to be one of those games.
David Spoon:It's going to be one of those games.
David Spoon:And I thought it was going to go the exact opposite because that first play, that guy missed the ball after Dak threw it and the other cowboy caught it.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Like, very first play.
David Spoon:I thought, oh, it's not going to be one of these games.
David Spoon:And I was like, it wasn't.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Anyway, so we just do that for people that are big cowboy fans.
David Spoon:Listen, I bought my first cowboy shirt this year.
David Spoon:I don't want to hear it.
David Spoon:And we're only about, let's see, we're in November, was it?
David Spoon:This is what no, this is our November 14.
David Spoon:So on November 10, we will have been in Texas seven years.
David Spoon:So for us, that's like.
David Spoon:That's big.
David Spoon:You know, it's a big.
David Spoon:You know, it's getting.
David Spoon:Getting longer.
David Spoon:And Deb's thinking right now, seven years?
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Seven years.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:Amazing.
David Spoon:All right, let's get back to the text.
David Spoon:We're going to teach this and then we'll get out a little late.
David Spoon:But I do want you to get this.
David Spoon:This is super, super fascinating.
David Spoon:I look at stuff like this.
David Spoon:I had to look this up in three different translations to make sure I wasn't missing this.
David Spoon:That's how when I look it up in multiple translations, I'm thinking, I learned a lot about this.
David Spoon:All right, so you get past that verse seven, we pick it up.
David Spoon:In verse eight, it says, then God told Noah in his sons, I am making a covenant with you and with your descendants.
David Spoon:So God told Noah and his sons, verse nine, I am making a covenant with you.
David Spoon:People are like, what's a covenant?
David Spoon:It's an agreement.
David Spoon:Technically.
David Spoon:People are like, well, it's one sided, two sided.
David Spoon:It's this side, it's that side.
David Spoon:It's an agreement.
David Spoon:Whatever the agreement is.
David Spoon:It is.
David Spoon:It's like.
David Spoon:It's.
David Spoon:In a sense, it's a contract.
David Spoon:An agreement.
David Spoon:But listen to what God says.
David Spoon:I am making a covenant with you and with your descendants.
David Spoon:Listen to verse ten.
David Spoon:And with the animals you brought with you.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:And with the animals you brought with you.
David Spoon:All these birds and livestock and wild animals.
David Spoon:Now just stop.
David Spoon:Now everybody's gonna go ballistic.
David Spoon:Slow down.
David Spoon:The reason I want you to slow down is it is just absolutely fascinating.
David Spoon:It's not even.
David Spoon:It is so fascinating.
David Spoon:Goddesse has made a covenant with Noah and his family.
David Spoon:This covenant rules.
David Spoon:You're in charge.
David Spoon:Da da da da.
David Spoon:But in the very next portion of the verse, he said, and I've made a covenant with the animals.
David Spoon:And then when you think about the animals and you think about even Moses in his law, in Leviticus and in numbers, you're not allowed to be cruel to your beasts.
David Spoon:God knows.
David Spoon:And then you go into the New Testament where God knows, where every bird falls, everything is taking place.
David Spoon:God is still fulfilling his covenant to animals, even now.
David Spoon:And people are like, well, the covenants go for this.
David Spoon:This, this.
David Spoon:The covenant goes for as long as God says it goes.
David Spoon:And this is, by the way, this covenant is not going to go forever because there's going to be a new heavens and a new earth.
David Spoon:So there won't be rainbows as far as we know, you can argue that later on.
David Spoon:But here's what we do know for sure.
David Spoon:What we know for sure is that every time you see the rainbow, it's an acknowledgement of the covenant that happens to with Noah and his sons and the animals.
David Spoon:And if you look at romans eight, you find out the animals are groaning, waiting for redemption.
David Spoon:It's just fascinating.
David Spoon:You got to go.
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:God is intricately involved in everything.
David Spoon:And if a bird falls to the ground and God knows, how much more is he aware of your circumstance?
David Spoon:If God knows every single bird on the entire planet, how much more your concerns, you who are made in the image of God, which by the way, was just spoken two verses earlier.
David Spoon:Think about that, right?
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:I just want you to think about, I want that resonate and we'll take our break and then we'll come back.
David Spoon:You are listening to the David Smoon experience right here on Kaam, 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.
David Spoon:We'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:When confronted by the unimaginable, look at how some of the Bible heroes responded.
David Spoon:Abraham's wife Sarah laughed when the Lord promised her a son in old age.
David Spoon:Why did Sarah laughter is anything too hard for the Lord?
David Spoon: ord answered, that's Genesis,: David Spoon:I am Gabriel.
David Spoon:The angel answered, I stand in the presence of God, have been sent to speak to you and tell you this good news.
David Spoon:Luke, this is out of Luke 119.
David Spoon:In other words, God was saying, God can do this.
David Spoon:Mary exclaimed, how you going to do this?
David Spoon:When Gabriel brought her that great news of her son that she would bear, the angel assured her, nothing.
David Spoon:With God nothing will be impossible.
David Spoon:Luke 137 the disciples questioned Jesus and he answered them with men, this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
David Spoon: Matthew: David Spoon:Is anything too hard for me?
David Spoon:Jeremiah 32 27 if God before us, who can be against us?
David Spoon:Romans 831 praise to him who is able listen.
David Spoon:This is Ephesians 320.
David Spoon:Praise to him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.
David Spoon:Finally, when life just seems impossible, we can memorize and believe and agree with the apostle Paul's conclusion of all his personal struggles.
David Spoon:I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me, which is in Philippians 413 darkness comes.
David Spoon:This is from John Piper.
David Spoon:This next statement darkness comes in the middle of it, the future looks blank.
David Spoon:But with God, nothing is impossible.
David Spoon:He has more ropes and ladders and tunnels out of pits that you can ever conceive of.
David Spoon:So wait and pray without ceasing and hope.
David Spoon:I think that this kind of thought process, it's not name it and claim it.
David Spoon:It's just believing that God is the God that can do anything is applicable for his kids to operate in when their situation seems impossible.
David Spoon:That we deal in the truth of the possible that God brings.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAAM 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's k double amen 770 the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:And no, that was not a word salad.
David Spoon:If you follow every word in every sentence, you'll know it makes perfect sense.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Anyway, we got our next trivia question.
David Spoon:All right, that was funny.
David Spoon:Here's your next trivia question.
David Spoon:Usually the fourth one, the one that we do at this point is usually the hardest question.
David Spoon:Remember that your answer is coming out of acts chapter eleven, verse 26.
David Spoon:Very specific.
David Spoon:The disciples were first called christians in what city?
David Spoon:The disciples were first called christians in what city.
David Spoon:Acts chapter eleven verse.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:I will remind everybody I am not going to reply to texts today until after 430.
David Spoon:There's a very specific reason why things I have to do.
David Spoon:So I can't actually respond to texts until after 430.
David Spoon:So don't think I'm dissing you or ignoring you.
David Spoon:I'm not doing that.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Not doing that.
David Spoon:All right, so that's number one.
David Spoon:Number two, I'm going to send you to the website.
David Spoon:Blah blah blah blah blah blah, blah.
David Spoon:Any given you can do would be really great because it helps us keep going.
David Spoon:The ministry.
David Spoon:If we can't do the ministry and we run out, we won't.
David Spoon:We'll do the best we can before the Lord as continual.
David Spoon:It's not to guilt anybody if you're a giver already.
David Spoon:I'm just like, stop.
David Spoon:You're doing a great job.
David Spoon:Don't worry about giving extra unless the Lord puts it on your heart.
David Spoon:But if you've never given, I would ask you to prayerfully consider that's fair.
David Spoon:I don't think that's weird.
David Spoon:Just make sure that whatever you do, you give it with the right heart.
David Spoon:God loves a cheerful giver.
David Spoon:Never give money begrudgingly, not just to us, anywhere, because that does not impress the Lord.
David Spoon:He doesn't.
David Spoon:He didn't give Jesus begrudgingly.
David Spoon:Don't do it that way, okay?
David Spoon:Check all the stuff out on the website.
David Spoon:He must increase.org.
David Spoon:prayer request.
David Spoon:He must increase.org.
David Spoon:praise report.
David Spoon:He must increase.org.
David Spoon:looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:He must increase.org confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:He must increase.org.
David Spoon:he must increase.org.
David Spoon:what are you supposed to be, some.
Caller:Kind of a cosmonaut?
David Spoon:No, we're exterminators.
David Spoon:Somebody saw a cockroach up on twelve.
David Spoon:That's got to be some cockroach.
David Spoon:Bite your head off, man.
David Spoon:I just leave that there.
David Spoon:I have nothing to add to that.
David Spoon:That's too funny.
David Spoon:The disciples were first called christians in what city?
David Spoon:And we have somebody on the line.
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Caller:This is the ghost buster.
David Spoon:How you doing, little brother?
David Spoon:How's it going?
Caller:Good.
David Spoon:All right, let me set it up for you, and then you can knock it out, and then I'm going to make a comment right after it.
David Spoon:You'll understand when I get there.
David Spoon:The disciples were first called christians in what city?
David Spoon:That is correct.
David Spoon:Abundant.
David Spoon:So I want to say this just real quickly, because we can kind of put this one to bed.
David Spoon:There had been a small movement in the christian church saying, well, that term for the Christians was a bad term.
David Spoon:And in fact, that might have been the case.
David Spoon:It might have been a bad term in the Antioch area.
David Spoon:But by the time one Peter was written, he said, it is a privilege to be called that name.
David Spoon:So even though it might have been bad earlier on, as time progressed, being known as a Christian became a honor.
David Spoon:So all those people that are like, well, I don't use the word Christian.
David Spoon:One that follows Christ is what I use is super legalistically ridiculous.
David Spoon:So I just wanted to throw that out there in case people didn't know what was going on there.
David Spoon:How you doing, little brother?
David Spoon:How are things going?
Caller:I'm okay, but just pray for me.
Caller:I don't know why I feel so tired.
David Spoon:You're tired out of energy?
David Spoon:Yeah.
Caller:Yeah.
Caller:I don't know why, but this is what it is right now.
David Spoon:All right, now, and I'm just gonna ask you this because I'm your friend as well as your brother.
David Spoon:Do you.
David Spoon:Are you watching a lot of the news right now.
David Spoon:Is that kind of consuming a lot of time?
Caller:No.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Yeah, don't.
David Spoon:Don't do that.
David Spoon:I just wanted people like you to take media fasts.
David Spoon:That's my encouragement.
David Spoon:Take a fast from the media.
David Spoon:Well, let me pray for you.
Caller:I'm not.
Caller:I would just to do my best for the Yom Kippur, so.
David Spoon:Yeah, well, that's.
David Spoon:That's honorable.
David Spoon:So let's pray for the Lord to strengthen you.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:I lift up Samson to you, and, Lord, he's trying to be right before you do this right, present himself.
David Spoon:Lord, there are times where all of us, every one of us, has felt the lull and the lack of energy.
David Spoon:But you, you actually provide energy for bodies.
David Spoon:In fact, without your sustaining energy, nobody would breathe.
David Spoon:So we ask you to move upon Samson in a way that can fill him full of the energy that comes from you.
David Spoon:According to colossians 129, that you would fill him full of the power, the energy, the energy so that would strengthen him and put a step extra in his walk so he doesn't feel like he's dragging, but that he's moving at a good pace.
David Spoon:Lord, he doesn't want to walk behind you.
David Spoon:He doesn't want to walk in front of you, wants to walk next to you.
David Spoon:Help him to keep up with you, give him the strength to.
David Spoon:And give him, Lord God, a tremendous peace in his heart that just confirms to him he's where he needs to be for the things that you want to do.
David Spoon:And bless him in that and let him find comfort in that.
David Spoon:In Jesus name, amen and amen.
Caller:Amen.
Caller:Hey, while you just started praying, I realized I think it is a Benjamin Franklin stress.
Caller:So I'm thinking I gonna go to Walmart and buy some mint so I could squeeze and make some.
Caller:Something out of the mint.
David Spoon:You gonna make something out of the mint?
Caller:Yeah.
Caller:Then I could go to the bank and they will cash it.
David Spoon:There you go.
Caller:Yeah.
David Spoon:Nothing gets by you.
David Spoon:Be blessed, my brother.
Caller:Yeah.
Caller:Hey.
David Spoon:Yeah.
Caller:Thank you.
Caller:Thank you.
Caller:You're a good friend and good encourager.
David Spoon:God bless, bro.
Caller:Thank you.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
Caller:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, let's get back into this teaching.
David Spoon:People are gonna.
David Spoon:Now, you guys know I don't get.
David Spoon:I don't.
David Spoon:I mean, I rant every so often, right?
David Spoon:I don't rant all the time.
David Spoon:I just.
David Spoon:Sometimes I just.
David Spoon:You know.
David Spoon:All right, well, here we go.
David Spoon:That's all I'm going to say.
David Spoon:All right, here we are.
David Spoon:Verse twelve of Genesis nine, verse twelve says this.
David Spoon:And God said, I am giving you a sign as evidence of my eternal covenant with you and with all the living creatures.
David Spoon:Once again, this is being affirmed that this sign is not just a covenant for humanity, but for all living creatures.
David Spoon:In fact, I have placed my rainbow in the clouds.
David Spoon:All other texts say my bow in the clouds.
David Spoon:It is a sign of my permanent promise to you and to all the earth.
David Spoon:So let's just stop right there because I don't want to go any further than this.
David Spoon:I want to make sure you know exactly what I'm saying.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:That bow, that rainbow, that same rainbow, by the way, is in.
David Spoon:The rainbow is in the very presence of the throne.
David Spoon:If you look at revelation four and five, there's a rainbow there.
David Spoon:I just want you to catch this and not miss this.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:This is something that God has placed in connection with how all of the atmosphere works.
David Spoon:He's the one that set it in motion.
David Spoon:And I think it's really funny because people go, well, the rainbow is only a reflection of particles in the air.
David Spoon:That's absurd, because the rainbow comes about before there were any particles in the air.
David Spoon:The rainbow came about after the flood was over.
David Spoon:It was not a single particle in the air.
David Spoon:We'll just point that out.
David Spoon:And then the thing that's the key component of this is simply this.
David Spoon:And we have this bumper sticker on our site.
David Spoon:We haven't made it stickers yet, but it's on the site Rosalind created.
David Spoon:And she did a great job.
David Spoon:It's very simple.
David Spoon:Listen, the rainbow belongs to Goddesse.
David Spoon:In fact, the worldly rainbow has six colors, but God's rainbow has seven.
David Spoon:That's a fact.
David Spoon:Nobody can change that.
David Spoon:And the rainbow belongs to God.
David Spoon:The LGBtqrsuv w x y z fyd ever.
David Spoon:Whatever it is changes every other hour.
David Spoon:Means.
David Spoon:That means nothing.
David Spoon:They don't own the rainbow.
David Spoon:God owns the rainbow.
David Spoon:And so God gives this as a sign, as an evidence of his eternal covenant.
David Spoon:By the way, for those people that like, well, you shouldn't ask for signs again, this is a sign God gives.
David Spoon:There's times where God gives signs.
David Spoon:Everybody can kind of grow up from that process.
David Spoon:What he won't give you is a sign to prove Jesus is the Messiah.
David Spoon:In other words, he's not going to dem.
David Spoon:Jesus wasn't going to demonstrate his miracles to the Pharisees so that they could believe that was not going to happen.
David Spoon:That's got nothing to do with God giving signs.
David Spoon:Do you understand that?
David Spoon:God gives signs all the time.
David Spoon:Have you looked up in the sky?
David Spoon:Okay, great.
David Spoon:It's really important to understand that when we do look at the rainbow, it looks like a bow from our end.
David Spoon:It looks like, almost like an arc.
David Spoon:But it is another place in the scripture where it kind of comes across, where it's like a circle.
David Spoon:That's just a thoughtful, interesting thing.
David Spoon:There's nothing spiritual about it.
David Spoon:I always find that stuff fascinating.
David Spoon:But the big key is understanding this.
David Spoon:God has made a promise, and he gave a sign of his promise, and he will fulfill his promise, and he will never give up on completing his promise.
David Spoon:Now, when the earth's existence ceases and there's new heavens and new earth, we're not sure if that carries through.
David Spoon:We don't know how that works.
David Spoon:But the thing to remember about the rainbow with all those people making fun of everybody who believe like us, who believe in the rainbow, is a sign from God.
David Spoon:Here's the thing to remember.
David Spoon:It's God's rainbow.
David Spoon:Nobody else owns it.
David Spoon:He owns it.
David Spoon:And if he wants to make it disappear, despite all the things they say couldn't happen, he will do so.
David Spoon:And if he wants to keep it steady, he will do so.
David Spoon:It is God's property.
David Spoon:Get that.
David Spoon:All right, we have.
David Spoon:Do we have somebody that we want to get to right now, or do you know?
David Spoon:Yep.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:We do have somebody on the phone.
David Spoon:We want to give them a chance to reach out and touch base with us.
David Spoon:So let's do that.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
David Spoon:Hello?
David Spoon:Hello.
Caller:This.
Caller:This is Jeff.
David Spoon:Hi, Jeff.
David Spoon:How are you?
Caller:I'm good.
Caller:I have a friend that's not doing too well, and I trying to get a prayer request.
David Spoon:Absolutely, absolutely.
David Spoon:What's your friend's name?
Caller:His name is Neil.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Do you want to tell us what's going on or we do want to just lift it up, trusting.
David Spoon:I mean, it's up to you.
Caller:He is.
Caller:He's having problems with, like, a chemical imbalance turning into a girl.
Caller:You could say he's having hot flashes and major anxiety, and he really wishes it would go away.
Caller:And he's been trying through several different doctors and some hormone therapies, and he just wishes the Lord would take it away from him.
David Spoon:All right, let's pray for him.
David Spoon:Let's do it right now.
David Spoon:Okay.
Caller:Thank you.
David Spoon:All right, Father, we come before you right now, and we thank you for Jeff praying for his friend Neil.
David Spoon:And we lift up Neil to you right now in the name of Jesus, and we ask you to.
David Spoon:We lost him.
David Spoon:We ask you to break the power of darkness that's working against kneel.
David Spoon:We ask you to break that power that brings the confusion.
David Spoon:Lord, we know where the confusion's coming from and when he's having anxiety issues and he's having physical issues and manifestations and he can't find freedom.
David Spoon:And what we know is freedom comes through Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:So we pray for freedom for Neil by the power of Jesus Christ, that he would be set free from the oppression, from the anxiety, from the frustration, from the uselessness.
David Spoon:Nobody's being able to help him.
David Spoon:And Lord, we ask you to manifest to Neil that there is a savior with the gospel and he can call upon your name and be saved.
David Spoon:We ask for you to bring your healing power into his life and change his life.
David Spoon:We pray that in Jesus name, amen and amen.
David Spoon:Okay, we'll take a short break and then we will come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on Kam, 770, the true station here in Texas.

David Spoon:It only takes a minute.
David Spoon:We're just joining our faith really together, believing that God's graciousness is here for this.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you and we ask you in the name of Jesus with help from the Holy Spirit that you would touch in our audience those people who are physically hurting, there are some where their pain is really intense on a regular basis.
David Spoon:It's just very, very draining.
David Spoon:And we ask that you would give them strength and you would renew them and you would empower them, but most of all, that you would heal them and you would touch their physical bodies.
David Spoon:And even if it can only be for a short period, by your determination, we ask that that would come for them and they would get that relief.
David Spoon:And for those that are just drawing closer to you, that there would be some great sense of comfort, some great sense of wisdom and trust.
David Spoon:But heal those who are hurting.
David Spoon:From the smallest item to the deepest and most serious element, nothing escapes your notice.
David Spoon:So minister to those people by your grace and by your mercy, we pray in Jesus name.
David Spoon:Amen.
David Spoon:The David spoon experience.
David Spoon:On Christ the solid rock, I stand all other ground.
David Spoon:Oh.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Last trivia question.
David Spoon:We got to be quick about it, but you guys can do it.
David Spoon:Don't take a long time.
David Spoon:If you call in, you're going to be on a tight time frame.
David Spoon:Jesus was a descendant of what tribe of Israel?
David Spoon:Hebrews 714.
David Spoon:Jesus was a descendant of what tribe of Israel?
David Spoon:This will help you think of revelation.
David Spoon:He was from the tribe of the lion of.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or you can send an email, david@hemustincrease.org.
David Spoon:okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Now, the reason I'm telling you we're doing this fast because I only have four minutes left in the show.
David Spoon:That makes things tight, you understand?
David Spoon:So we're not going to do history, but I am going to say this about history, and that is today is national dessert day.
David Spoon:So it's like, I don't know.
David Spoon:How could you not?
David Spoon:I have to mention it, right?
David Spoon:It's like a requirement, right?
David Spoon:It's like I have to.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:The other one was take your teddy bear to work today.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:We'll just leave that alone.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Got it.
David Spoon:Our trivia question, straightforward.
David Spoon:Jesus was descendant of what tribe?
David Spoon:Think of revelation, the lion of.
David Spoon:There you go.
David Spoon:All right, we do have somebody on the line.
David Spoon:Let's do it quickly.
David Spoon:Move them forward.
David Spoon:Knock knock.
David Spoon:This is david.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to.
Caller:And a fine good afternoon to you, sir.
David Spoon:This is JD.
David Spoon:Hey, JD.
David Spoon:How you doing, brother?
Caller:Oh, God, it's a beautiful day.
David Spoon:We're so blessed.
David Spoon:We are blessed, aren't we?
David Spoon:We are.
David Spoon:All right, brother, I'm going to move it along because we're on a tight timeframe.
David Spoon:Jesus was a descendant, was the line of Judah.
David Spoon:Judah, yes, you are correct, sir.
David Spoon:That's one of the great things is so it's in the revelation.
David Spoon:It's the lion.
David Spoon:It's Jesus from the tribe of Judah the lion.
David Spoon:And then what do they see but a lamb?
David Spoon:And it's like, aha.
David Spoon:That's like one of those great, great little things in the scripture.
David Spoon:It's like, ooh, that's cool.
David Spoon:Awesome job, JD.
David Spoon:Phenomenal.
David Spoon:Phenomenal, my brother.
Caller:Thank you, my brother.
David Spoon:All right, God bless you.
Caller:Have a blessed day.
David Spoon:You, too.
Caller:Okay.
Caller:Take care, sir.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:JD knows how to do it perfectly.
David Spoon:You see how I did that?
David Spoon:Bam.
David Spoon:Here it is, bam.
David Spoon:Here's your answer, Dave.
David Spoon:Bam.
David Spoon:Got it.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:Thank you, JD.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:Excellent job.
David Spoon:All right, last little bit on this verse.
David Spoon:So I want to make sure that, you know, I share it with you.
David Spoon:And that is this.
David Spoon:And I just want to point it out to you in verse eleven.
David Spoon:So we already went through this, where I placed my rainbow in the crowd in the clouds.
David Spoon:It's a sign of my permanent promise to you and all over the earth.
David Spoon:When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will be seen in the clouds.
David Spoon:We're going to pick it back up next week from some of that, but I don't want you to miss verse eleven.
David Spoon:Verse eleven says this.
David Spoon:I solemnly promise never to send another flood to kill all living creature and destroy the earth.
David Spoon:So God makes a commitment.
David Spoon:And here's the commitment God makes.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:I am never going to flood it out of again.
David Spoon:Again.
David Spoon:That does not mean there won't be floods.
David Spoon:It does not mean there won't be floods from different things.
David Spoon:That doesn't say that at all.
David Spoon:But what God says is I'm never going to destroy humanity through floods.
David Spoon:So every one of those climate warmongers who are like, well, the ice caps are going to melt and then when they melt, the water's going to rise and.
David Spoon:And then the water's gonna rise and it's gonna flood the earth and destroy the whole earth.
David Spoon:Wrong.
David Spoon:That is never going to happen.
David Spoon:And you think, well, they could be right.
David Spoon:No, they cannot be right.
David Spoon:If they are right, then God is wrong.
David Spoon:How about that?
David Spoon:So just take a step back for all those brilliant people that are so mad about because they worship the earth and not God.
David Spoon:They're so smart.
David Spoon:They throw.
David Spoon:Wait, wait.
David Spoon:Soup on oil paintings.
David Spoon:Oh, my goodness.
David Spoon:I mean, you just think these.
David Spoon:Who were these parents?
David Spoon:Who raised these kids?
David Spoon:That's when the parents says, you got to say to the parents, did your parents lift weights?
David Spoon:How else could they raise a dumbbell like you?
David Spoon:Here's what I'm trying to get to you.
David Spoon:God has the earth and has made a covenant with the earth, the people and the animals.
David Spoon:Nothing gonna change it.
David Spoon:When God is ready to do what he wants to do to the earth for a new heavens and new earth, it might be a little more fire than anything else.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:That's what the scripture says.
David Spoon:All right, we're done.
David Spoon:You've been listening to the David Spoon experience right here on KAAM, 770, the truth station here in Texas taking a 22 and a half hour break.
David Spoon:Then we'll come back.
David Spoon:More insanity with spoonanity.
David Spoon:Talk to you then.
David Spoon:Thanks a lot for all the blessings that you give me.
David Spoon:Thanks a lot for all the ways that you have kept.
David Spoon:The views expressed in the preceding program.
Narrator:Were those of the speakers and not.
David Spoon:Necessarily those of KaM.
David Spoon:DJRD broadcasting are its sponsors.
