Doctor David Spoon:We're asking questions about living life as a Christian.
Doctor David Spoon:That thing right there.
Doctor David Spoon:And it is Thursday.
Doctor David Spoon:And on Thursday we ask the same question every week, and we'll do so until the end of the year.
Doctor David Spoon:Yes, I challenge you in the name of the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon: Are we expecting more in: Doctor David Spoon:Are you expecting the Lord to do more, or are you in the I just want to survive mode?
Doctor David Spoon:Let me tell you something about expecting more.
Doctor David Spoon:When you put up the sales and you have an expectation, even though there's no wind, supernaturally the wind comes blowing through because you are offering faith, and faith pleases God, and God moves in people's lives who believe anything is possible to him that believes, referring to believing in the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:So are you expecting more?
Doctor David Spoon:Are you going, you know what?
Doctor David Spoon:It's kind of like October.
Doctor David Spoon:I got to get through this, you know, this election season, then get through Thanksgiving and then Christmas, then New Year's, and then I'll start expecting more.
Doctor David Spoon:Wrong answer.
Doctor David Spoon: need to be expecting more in: Doctor David Spoon:So take that six level of expectation and turn it upside down and make it a nine so that you can see the power, the glory, the anointing of goddess rushing through into your lives, into your circumstances, into your family, into your job, into your existence.
Doctor David Spoon: Are you expecting more in: Doctor David Spoon:If you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question, don't let it die of loneliness.
Doctor David Spoon:Just reach out and give us a call.
Doctor David Spoon:It's really okay.
Doctor David Spoon: -: Doctor David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob is like spending time relaxing and chillaxing.
Doctor David Spoon:Hello.
Jammin Jacob:Thank you, David.
Jammin Jacob:Happy Thursday.
Doctor David Spoon:Happy Thursday to you, my friend.
Doctor David Spoon:Is all well this Thursday for thou.
Jammin Jacob:All well so far?
Jammin Jacob:How's your Thursday going?
Doctor David Spoon:Going very, very good.
Doctor David Spoon:Not a challenge.
Doctor David Spoon:I've been a lot of doing a lot of study on the revelation.
Doctor David Spoon:So people are going to be hearing things.
Doctor David Spoon:They're going to be like going, whoa.
Doctor David Spoon:Which is okay.
Doctor David Spoon:Remember what we said as we get into the book of Revelation.
Doctor David Spoon:You don't have to agree with what I say.
Doctor David Spoon:What you have to do is make sure that as you read the book of Revelation, as you study, as you get involved between you and the Lord, you come to the right conclusions without judging other people who have different conclusions.
Doctor David Spoon:That's all we're saying.
Doctor David Spoon:You just want to make sure that every time you're engaging in the word of God, you're using it to draw closer to the Lord, to bring honor to him, to bless others.
Doctor David Spoon:And that doesn't mean you have to go around going, I'm right, I'm right, I'm right.
Doctor David Spoon:That's really not the way to do that.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, so we'll be excited about that.
Doctor David Spoon:We're getting into that.
Doctor David Spoon:By the way, I do want to check with Jam and Jacob, but do you have to work this weekend or do you have some time off this weekend?
Jammin Jacob:I don't have to work this weekend.
Jammin Jacob:Next weekend I'll be working.
Jammin Jacob:So I do have a couple of days off.
Doctor David Spoon:Well, good for you.
Doctor David Spoon:That's really good.
Doctor David Spoon:And we'll get into why that's important when we get into Jake's take.
Jammin Jacob:Yes, we will.
Doctor David Spoon:Yes.
Doctor David Spoon:In the last 60 minutes, and I will tell you right now that also in that last 60 minutes, I think we're going to be bringing the book of acts to a conclusion.
Doctor David Spoon:So that'll be exciting.
Doctor David Spoon:But we're not quite there yet.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
Doctor David Spoon:The bottom line is you can reach out and call us.
Doctor David Spoon:Yes, it's a telephone and no, it won't hurt you.
Doctor David Spoon:You can also text us.
Doctor David Spoon: : Doctor David Spoon: -: Doctor David Spoon: -: Doctor David Spoon:He must increase from John 330.
Doctor David Spoon:He must increase.
Doctor David Spoon:I must decrease.org comma, we're a nonprofit entity.
Doctor David Spoon:That's why.
Doctor David Spoon:So you can either call us, text us, or email us.
Doctor David Spoon:Why?
Doctor David Spoon:Why?
Doctor David Spoon:Why?
Doctor David Spoon:Because maybe you have a praise report.
Doctor David Spoon:Maybe the Lord has done something phenomenal for you and you know it.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's an opportunity to share it.
Doctor David Spoon:It will bless others.
Doctor David Spoon:It will bless you.
Doctor David Spoon:It will honor God.
Doctor David Spoon:Maybe you've got a prayer request.
Doctor David Spoon:Got these things got to take care of.
Doctor David Spoon:We're going to be praying, obviously, we're going to be praying for the Florida people and the rescue issues.
Doctor David Spoon:I also want to pray for our country as well as ish, as well as Israel.
Doctor David Spoon:And then I want to pray for a couple of people's hurting lives.
Doctor David Spoon:They got some pain in there.
Doctor David Spoon:We want to pray for that.
Doctor David Spoon:We'll get to that.
Doctor David Spoon:But I just want you to be aware, if you got something that could be family, could be finances, could be job, could be situational, it doesn't matter.
Doctor David Spoon:Don't you understand how much God loves you?
Doctor David Spoon:He wants you to petition him.
Doctor David Spoon:All you got to do is look at Matthew seven seven.
Doctor David Spoon:Ask, seek, knock.
Doctor David Spoon:These are all things Jesus is encouraging us to do in the sermon on the mount of to pursue God, get that.
Doctor David Spoon:He wants to be pursued.
Doctor David Spoon:You know, he knows what you want.
Doctor David Spoon:Silly, silly.
Doctor David Spoon:Of course he knows.
Doctor David Spoon:He's omniscient, but he wants you to spend time with him.
Doctor David Spoon:That's where it really kicks in.
Doctor David Spoon:That's where the great understanding of faith comes in.
Doctor David Spoon:It's not about being robotic, it's about being relationship connected.
Doctor David Spoon:Epigenosa is the word knowledge used in the New Testament multiple times.
Doctor David Spoon:It's knowledge by contact.
Doctor David Spoon:So we want contact with God.
Doctor David Spoon:So if you got a prayer report, awesome.
Doctor David Spoon:If you've got a prayer request, awesome.
Doctor David Spoon:Let's petition together as brothers and sisters and seek the help of God.
Doctor David Spoon:If you got a scripture or something you want to share, awesome.
Doctor David Spoon:Our bent is a little off of the politics.
Doctor David Spoon:It's not deeply into politics.
Doctor David Spoon:I think everybody knows that by now.
Doctor David Spoon:Or if you're new, we're not deeply into politics.
Doctor David Spoon:We're deeply into encouraging one another as we see the day of Jesus Christ.
Doctor David Spoon:Get closer and closer.
Doctor David Spoon:And for those that don't know, I'm a manifold millennialist.
Doctor David Spoon:Don't bother.
Doctor David Spoon:You won't find it in Google.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's the bottom line.
Doctor David Spoon:There are many great eschatological approaches, and you don't have to beat one another over it to prove you're right or wrong.
Doctor David Spoon:What's amazing is in many of the eschatologies, there are phenomenal elements that we can use to draw near to the Lord now, and that's what we're all about.
Doctor David Spoon:Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.
Doctor David Spoon:James.
Doctor David Spoon:Four eight.
Doctor David Spoon:And then it doesn't matter how it breaks down, does it?
Doctor David Spoon:Cause you're with the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:Ah, that's a good idea.
Doctor David Spoon:All right, so let's go to prayer.
Doctor David Spoon:We're gonna pray for Florida, and I want to pray for the rescues.
Doctor David Spoon:I do want to pray for our country.
Doctor David Spoon:There's a lot of angsthenne in the country as well as for Israel.
Doctor David Spoon:And then I want to pray for a couple of brothers and sisters.
Doctor David Spoon:So take your faith and just stretch it in your heart.
Doctor David Spoon:You don't have to stretch out your hand, but you can.
Doctor David Spoon:People do that as a symbolic way of kind of extending their faith.
Doctor David Spoon:Nothing bizarre or weird.
Doctor David Spoon:There's nothing bad about that.
Doctor David Spoon:The Lord doesn't mind stuff like that.
Doctor David Spoon:That's silly.
Doctor David Spoon:But let's pray.
Doctor David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
Doctor David Spoon:We thank you, we praise you, we honor you, we acknowledge you.
Doctor David Spoon:You are the king of the universe, and nothing is taking place outside of you.
Doctor David Spoon:There is nothing the enemy does that you are not aware of.
Doctor David Spoon:He has to ask permission.
Doctor David Spoon:And, Lord, there are so many things set up in motion from a prophetic point of view that are going to take place whether people think so or not.
Doctor David Spoon:It's not relevant.
Doctor David Spoon:Your truth is relevant, not man's opinion.
Doctor David Spoon:And we just thank you for who you are and for the love and the graciousness and the stability that you've brought into our lives.
Doctor David Spoon:And we lift up the people in Florida who are going through it right now.
Doctor David Spoon:Lord, give the rescue workers graces.
Doctor David Spoon:Give the people who are suffering mercies, and let them as a.
Doctor David Spoon:As a people, pull up out of this.
Doctor David Spoon:And, Lord, even for the continued rescue efforts that are taking place in North Carolina and other places that people will still be found alive and testify to your grace in that situation.
Doctor David Spoon:We pray for our country.
Doctor David Spoon:So much division within us, Lord, but you know what?
Doctor David Spoon:Not ours, but your will be done.
Doctor David Spoon:And blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:And may we as a nation turn our face to you.
Doctor David Spoon:Let the righteous rise and the wicked.
Doctor David Spoon:We pray for Israel and the peace of Israel, exactly as your word commands.
Doctor David Spoon:Protect Israel, the apple of your eye.
Doctor David Spoon:And for our brothers and sisters.
Doctor David Spoon:Some have very serious illnesses.
Doctor David Spoon:Some, Lord, have deep pains.
Doctor David Spoon:You think of Joanne and the pain she has in her leg.
Doctor David Spoon:And we think of the different people, like Jeanette, who's going through a couple of different things at the same time.
Doctor David Spoon:Brotherhood, brother ace, of course, and Gary and so many others who are hurting.
Doctor David Spoon:We are asking for your grace, your healing power, your mercy, your manifestation of the kingdom of God in their bodies and in their lives.
Doctor David Spoon:For you tell us the kingdom is amongst us.
Doctor David Spoon:Have mercy on us as a people.
Doctor David Spoon:We turn our face to you.
Doctor David Spoon:We ask for grace, we ask for mercy, we ask for a pouring out of your love.
Doctor David Spoon:We lift all this up and pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior.
Doctor David Spoon:Amen.
Doctor David Spoon:And amen.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and creatures of all ages and sizes, into the book of revelation.
Doctor David Spoon:We go.
Doctor David Spoon:We're in revelation, chapter one.
Doctor David Spoon:We're picking it up at verse 13.
Doctor David Spoon:Actually, we'll go back to verse twelve just for one particular reason.
Doctor David Spoon:Then we'll get into verse 13.
Doctor David Spoon:Here it is, verse twelve.
Doctor David Spoon:Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me.
Doctor David Spoon:And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands.
Doctor David Spoon:Verse 13.
Doctor David Spoon:And in the midst of the seven lampstands, one like the son of man, clothed with a garment down to his feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.
Doctor David Spoon:His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes like a flame of fire.
Doctor David Spoon:His feet were like fine brass as it refined in a furnace.
Doctor David Spoon:His voice, the sound of many waters.
Doctor David Spoon:And he had in his right hand seven stars.
Doctor David Spoon:And out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword.
Doctor David Spoon:And his countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
Doctor David Spoon:Wow.
Doctor David Spoon:If you are John, if you are John the apostle, who has now his the senior apostle, no if, ands or buts.
Doctor David Spoon:92, 93, 94, maybe 95 ad writing this letter and the last, I just want you to think about this is John.
Doctor David Spoon:He's right.
Doctor David Spoon:And we've talked about it, but it's just amazing.
Doctor David Spoon:I don't think people catch it right.
Doctor David Spoon:John turns to see Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:And as he turns, he is in for the shock of his life.
Doctor David Spoon:Remember, the last time John saw Jesus was the ascension.
Doctor David Spoon:When he saw him that close, that tight.
Doctor David Spoon:Right.
Doctor David Spoon:And now he's seeing a very different Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:There are some scholars that believe that they look at the twelve disciples and they look at Peter, James and John as the tighter three.
Doctor David Spoon:And then John is the tightest, the closest.
Doctor David Spoon:Right.
Doctor David Spoon:So close that Jesus gave his mother to John to watch over.
Doctor David Spoon:That's pretty close.
Doctor David Spoon:So you could make a good argument saying, yeah, yeah.
Doctor David Spoon:Well, I mean, he was pretty close.
Doctor David Spoon:And let's keep in mind, like I said, the last time John saw Jesus with the magnitude had to do with the ascension.
Doctor David Spoon:So let's just be honest.
Doctor David Spoon:This is an entirely different looking Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:Can I emphasize that?
Doctor David Spoon:That's not to say anything negative.
Doctor David Spoon:It's just this Jesus that's being presented in revelation, chapter one looks substantially different than the Jesus during the ascension.
Doctor David Spoon:So now there's some theological arguments.
Doctor David Spoon:Well, it's the glorified one that we're going to see.
Doctor David Spoon:No, it's the one we saw at the ascension.
Doctor David Spoon:Here's the answer.
Doctor David Spoon:Nobody knows.
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, right?
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, nobody knows.
Doctor David Spoon:We know that we're going to see him as he is and then we'll be like him.
Doctor David Spoon:Got that?
Doctor David Spoon:So that's cool.
Doctor David Spoon:We can live with that.
Doctor David Spoon:And what we do know is that the next time John sees Jesus, it blows his little mind.
Doctor David Spoon:It does.
Doctor David Spoon:And I want to pick up one thing and start on this, on the discussion.
Doctor David Spoon:If you remember in the very beginning of this, quote unquote epistle, in the very beginning of this letter, let's say that it says this, the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him to show his servants things which must shortly take place.
Doctor David Spoon:And he sent it and signified it.
Doctor David Spoon:We reviewed the greek word for signify.
Doctor David Spoon:It means to communicate by symbol.
Doctor David Spoon:Now, we know there are symbols taking place in this book, otherwise you wouldn't use the word signify.
Doctor David Spoon:It would be ridiculous.
Doctor David Spoon:And what we do find out is in the very beginning, in verse twelve and 13, the word seven, the word seven.
Doctor David Spoon:In fact, in the book of Revelation, the word seven is used 55, at a minimum 55 times.
Doctor David Spoon:Some people say it's 49.
Doctor David Spoon:That has to do with their forgiveness.
Doctor David Spoon:No, it's not.
Doctor David Spoon:It could be 50.
Doctor David Spoon:It's much more likely 55.
Doctor David Spoon:Could even be 57.
Doctor David Spoon:It's not the point.
Doctor David Spoon:Why in one book are we seeing the number 750 times?
Doctor David Spoon:Well, there has to be a reason.
Doctor David Spoon:And then you have to consider, well, what then does seven represent, what does it symbolize?
Doctor David Spoon:What does that communicate to us?
Doctor David Spoon:What do you think of when you think of seven?
Doctor David Spoon:Now, because many people have been trained in a certain source of a certain realm of interpretation, many people are going to say seven means God or seven means perfection.
Doctor David Spoon:Could be that could, there's nothing wrong with that.
Doctor David Spoon:It could also mean completed, because the world was created in six days and God rested on the 7th and it makes one week.
Doctor David Spoon:It could also miss.
Doctor David Spoon:Seven also can mean rest by its own definition.
Doctor David Spoon:So it can be completed, rest, God, perfection, could be any of those.
Doctor David Spoon:Probably is all of those.
Doctor David Spoon:You see, here's my contention that I want you to follow with me on this.
Doctor David Spoon:When somebody is reading the book of Revelation, and they read something about something that's very picturesque, and the picture they get connects them to Jesus and it draws them closer to Jesus, but somebody has that same picture, it draws them closer to Jesus, but they see a little bit different of an angle.
Doctor David Spoon:Do you think God's going, well, I'm mad about that because I wanted everybody to have this point of view.
Doctor David Spoon:That's absurd.
Doctor David Spoon:When you read a passage and then ten years later you read that passage, and ten years later you read that passage, it's the same passage.
Doctor David Spoon:It's you that's changing.
Doctor David Spoon:And God is emphasizing a different thing at a different time.
Doctor David Spoon:And so when people look at these syllables, they're like going, wowzer, bowser.
Doctor David Spoon:And it impacts them differently.
Doctor David Spoon:As long as it's impacting them for the glory of goddess and it's not being used or abused, who cares?
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, it's like, what?
Doctor David Spoon:Big deal.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay.
Doctor David Spoon:And I'll give you a great example here.
Doctor David Spoon:You have the very first thing.
Doctor David Spoon:Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:There's Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:John sees Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:He's clothed with a garment down to his feet and girded about with a chest with a golden band.
Doctor David Spoon:There's some people that think that represents his priestly garments.
Doctor David Spoon:Sounds pretty good to me.
Doctor David Spoon:I don't got a problem with that.
Doctor David Spoon:Other people think that just shows his royalty.
Doctor David Spoon:Sounds good to me.
Doctor David Spoon:I don't have a problem with that.
Doctor David Spoon:What's wrong with that?
Doctor David Spoon:Do I care about that?
Doctor David Spoon:No, he's completely covered.
Doctor David Spoon:That's the key.
Doctor David Spoon:The whole element is the garment goes all the way down to his feet, and it's a gold chest.
Doctor David Spoon:About his band, well, we know gold is pretty valuable.
Doctor David Spoon:There's a lot there.
Doctor David Spoon:And you could say, well, that gold is around his heart.
Doctor David Spoon:It means Jesus has a golden heart.
Doctor David Spoon:That would be true, too.
Doctor David Spoon:None of that would be wrong.
Doctor David Spoon:His head and his hair were white like wool.
Doctor David Spoon:What is that?
Doctor David Spoon:White as snow, by the way, it's not just gray head.
Doctor David Spoon:I do have to make a point here.
Doctor David Spoon:It's white like snow.
Doctor David Spoon:It's not gray.
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, if you've ever been in snow in your entire life, one thing is if you go outside to the snow, where it's freshly snowed, and if the sun is out, you have to wear sunglasses.
Doctor David Spoon:It's so blinding.
Doctor David Spoon:It's like wowzer bowser.
Doctor David Spoon:It's not gray.
Doctor David Spoon:It doesn't mean he's just old, right?
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, that's just not good.
Doctor David Spoon:And different people have a different understanding.
Doctor David Spoon:Some people believe that that white represents a divine wisdom, and some people believe it represents a sort of infinity, like a foreverness.
Doctor David Spoon:Great.
Doctor David Spoon:And you're like, well, I think it's this great.
Doctor David Spoon:Some people think it's maturity, right?
Doctor David Spoon:Because of Daniel's vision of the ancient ones.
Doctor David Spoon:Cool.
Doctor David Spoon:I think all of those are nifty, don't you?
Doctor David Spoon:It just shows how powerful Jesus is.
Doctor David Spoon:Then what's the next thing that's seen right after the.
Doctor David Spoon:His.
Doctor David Spoon:His hair is his head and his hair white like wool.
Doctor David Spoon:Not gray.
Doctor David Spoon:White like wool, like snow.
Doctor David Spoon:His eyes like a flame of fire.
Doctor David Spoon:Well, here's the one thing I can think of about eyes.
Doctor David Spoon:They see flame of fire means that it's.
Doctor David Spoon:I mean, it's almost like it's tested or it's.
Doctor David Spoon:It kind of cooks away the stuff that ain't there because we know that we get tried in the fire.
Doctor David Spoon:It's like, I can go with that.
Doctor David Spoon:That's pretty cool.
Doctor David Spoon:Other people see it a little bit differently.
Doctor David Spoon:How do they see it?
Doctor David Spoon:They see it as fire being something that just penetrates.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, that's cool.
Doctor David Spoon:Guess what?
Doctor David Spoon:Jesus is all of those things.
Doctor David Spoon:He's penetrating in his eyes.
Doctor David Spoon:He sees everything.
Doctor David Spoon:There's nothing that he doesn't cook away.
Doctor David Spoon:That's not rubbish.
Doctor David Spoon:He sees through all of the ridiculous.
Doctor David Spoon:Piercing through pretense.
Doctor David Spoon:Cool.
Doctor David Spoon:The one I love is the next one.
Doctor David Spoon:People are like, what do you mean you love the next one?
Doctor David Spoon:The next one that's mentioned is the feet that are like brass.
Doctor David Spoon:He says this.
Doctor David Spoon:He says his feet were like fine brass, as if.
Doctor David Spoon:As if refined in the furnace.
Doctor David Spoon:One of the number one interpretations for that has to do with brass being judgment.
Doctor David Spoon:I think that's fine.
Doctor David Spoon:That's not my preference.
Doctor David Spoon:I think that's fine, though.
Doctor David Spoon:What do I think of brass?
Doctor David Spoon:And what do I think of feet?
Doctor David Spoon:Feet have to do with stability, and brass has to do with solid stability.
Doctor David Spoon:It's a firmness.
Doctor David Spoon:It's a security.
Doctor David Spoon:I love that notion.
Doctor David Spoon:I love that idea.
Doctor David Spoon:It makes me look at Jesus and think, totally stable, totally secure.
Doctor David Spoon:Totally, my king.
Doctor David Spoon:Immovable.
Doctor David Spoon:Can't just push Jesus around.
Doctor David Spoon:Doesn't work that way.
Doctor David Spoon:I love that.
Doctor David Spoon:But how about the next thing?
Doctor David Spoon:Oh, my.
Doctor David Spoon:His feet were like fine brasses refined in a furnace.
Doctor David Spoon:And his voice as the sound of many waters.
Doctor David Spoon:What do you mean, the voice?
Doctor David Spoon:The sound of many waters.
Doctor David Spoon:What do you mean, the sound of many waters?
Doctor David Spoon:Is powerful.
Doctor David Spoon:Well, what is the voice of God?
Doctor David Spoon:Well, it was the voice of God that spoke, and the universe came into existence.
Doctor David Spoon:What does that thundering mean?
Doctor David Spoon:It means power.
Doctor David Spoon:It means the sound of the almighty.
Doctor David Spoon:Aren't those just awesome?
Doctor David Spoon:This is what John is seeing.
Doctor David Spoon:Last time he saw Jesus, it's like, see you later, alligator.
Doctor David Spoon:Now he's looking at him going, whoa.
Doctor David Spoon:Completely different.
Doctor David Spoon:And if you have a preference in regarding the brass feet being more judgment or the brass feet being stable, cool.
Doctor David Spoon:I love you in the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:You see, what we do is we pick a side.
Doctor David Spoon:Hey, this isn't football.
Doctor David Spoon:This is the kingdom of God, and we are inclusive in Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:Only one way to get in through Jesus Christ.
Doctor David Spoon:Once you're in, you find out it's a little wider than you thought, but you have to get in through the narrow gate.
Doctor David Spoon:So you're sitting there going, wow, look at all these different things.
Doctor David Spoon:And that voice, the power and the voice of goddess.
Doctor David Spoon:God speaks.
Doctor David Spoon:It happens.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, I'm in all the way, right?
Doctor David Spoon:Anybody can argue with that.
Doctor David Spoon:How do you argue with that?
Doctor David Spoon:And then he says this, and then in his right hand is the seven stars.
Doctor David Spoon:We'll stop on this one.
Doctor David Spoon:His right hand is the seven stars.
Doctor David Spoon:We already know the seven stars are the seven churches.
Doctor David Spoon:Nobody has.
Doctor David Spoon:Jesus already told us that.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay, but what does that mean, that it's in his right hand?
Doctor David Spoon:What does that have to do with anything?
Doctor David Spoon:Some people think that's acceptance and blessing.
Doctor David Spoon:Since the blessings were typically done with the right hand, other people think that it's different, that the right hand means closeness.
Doctor David Spoon:So close, so connected, so touched that he touches.
Doctor David Spoon:I want you to know something.
Doctor David Spoon:God has touched you, and that touching, that brings a close hand.
Doctor David Spoon:Another group of people think that's really protection.
Doctor David Spoon:Absolutely.
Doctor David Spoon:Does Jesus not protect you?
Doctor David Spoon:Does he not put his hand over you and protect you and watch over you?
Doctor David Spoon:All of those things?
Doctor David Spoon:This is what I want people to learn from the book of revelation.
Doctor David Spoon:You want to have an eschatology that runs a particular direction.
Doctor David Spoon:Have it, keep it, love it, embrace it.
Doctor David Spoon:But you want to enjoy this part of it with other brothers and sisters who don't see it the exact same way, but also love the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:Listen to what's being said.
Doctor David Spoon:These things represent greatness from God.
Doctor David Spoon:And what John is getting in message, without any reservation, is, I am here, I am in charge.
Doctor David Spoon:Remember what Jesus said?
Doctor David Spoon:All authority in heaven and earth has been given unto me.
Doctor David Spoon:So what does that mean?
Doctor David Spoon:It means all authority in heaven and earth has been given unto Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:And now we get this little picture, this small little picture of Jesus in charge.
Doctor David Spoon:You almost get the impression that if you saw Jesus way, you'd be like, okay, whatever that guy says, sure, okay.
Doctor David Spoon:But all of these attributes are fundamentally powerful.
Doctor David Spoon:Attributes that help us lean, connect, have reverence, awe, appreciation, fear and glory unto the Lord.
Doctor David Spoon:And that's what they're supposed to do.
Doctor David Spoon:So as you've heard all that and you're picking and thinking and thinking, can it be that much fun?
Doctor David Spoon:Can it be that much engagement and that interaction?
Doctor David Spoon:Yes, because that's how great God is.
Doctor David Spoon:That is the picture that John saw of Jesus.
Doctor David Spoon:And we're not even done.
Doctor David Spoon:Okay.
Doctor David Spoon:All right, we'll take our break and then we'll come back.
Doctor David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon experience right here on kam 770, the truth stationary in Texas.
Doctor David Spoon:Short break.
Doctor David Spoon:We'll be back.
Doctor David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.

Dad:But it's not an outrageously super bad story.
Dad:It's an outrageously super dumb story.
Dad:There's a big difference.
Dad:Bad is when I tell you, which I'll be telling you probably in the next segment, how the federal government is creating a database to track down hate speech as they define it.
Doctor David Spoon:That's bad.
Dad:We'll talk about that a little bit.
Dad:This is dumb, but it's funny.
Dad:Dumb, dumb, ha ha.
Dad:Funny, but not entirely.
Doctor David Spoon:Get this.
Dad:Now I'm holding a picture in my hand.
Dad:You can't see it, but there are four monkeys in this picture that I'm holding.
Dad:And the headline reads this, millions in taxpayer money used to study drunken monkeys.
Doctor David Spoon:No.
Doctor David Spoon:No.
Doctor David Spoon:Really.
Dad:Drunken monkeys.
Dad:And you're thinking, no, you're making that up.
Doctor David Spoon:Nope.
Dad:Federal government reportedly has spent $3.2 million so far in order to get monkeys drunk in order to study the effect of alcohol on the monkeys.
Doctor David Spoon:I don't know.
Dad:See, I don't know where you're even going to go.
Dad:Where are you going to go with this?
Speaker A:I'm going nowhere.
Doctor David Spoon:Dave, there's no, I got nothing to say.
Dad:There's no comment that anybody can make.
Doctor David Spoon:The David spoon experience.
