The David Spoon Experience 1/9/22 Part 2
1) Do you think your words are convincing? Job asked. Of course, the truth is critical to any and every conversation regarding life. Kingdoms change, politics change, societies change, and cultures change. But the truth never changes. But truth presented without any knowledge or consideration of a person’s desperation does not impact the speaker’s needs or desires. Nobody will listen if their emotions or on fire. 2) Stop assuming I’m guilty. Here is the fatal flaw in the friends of Job and their tactical approach to setting Job straight. Then Job steps into the same “oops, my thinking is going down the wrong rabbit hole” that his friends went down. The issue is that Job is just now revealing his own problem in understanding God. And understanding the situation that he is in. 3) Have we ever thought that we are going through a trial or even a test, but it feels so random? Here is a brain buster. Your trials have been assigned. That’s right. Even though our perspective, tainted with sin, screams that this whole thing comes out of nowhere, that is simply not true. There is a master. There is a plan. And, by golly, there is a master plan.
