The David Spoon Experience 1-13-23 Part 2

1) There are so many things that the Lord wants to teach us. But too much-polluted stuff in our minds is taking up space. And then there’s the idea that we must live to pay the bills. And then there’s the idea that we are failures as people unless we do this or that. So, I told my son the same thing I would say to you and me; one day, we will die. And then we will know what matters. Not too much of the stuff in our minds. 2) Second sources are hugely important. Unfortunately, they are often overlooked because of the primary teaching. But that would be like saying that the Lord can make us a meal, but we only want the entrée, even though God prepared an appetizer and a dessert. Joy comes from the presence of the Lord. But joy also comes from another place. 3) Trying to impress others can cost us more than we know. It can lead to stifled testimony. And it can lead to the denial of Jesus Christ. Others are great. But they have no heaven to put us in.
