And now for something completely different.
Speaker A:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
Speaker A:It's marvelous, monumental, most fascinating, massively mind bending Monday as we join our hearts and minds as one, drawing closer to the King of Kings and glorifying his name.
Speaker A:First, we, we pick up our lesson in Genesis chapter 15, starting in what many theologians consider to be one of the most critical passages in the entire Bible, whether it's Old or New Testament.
Speaker A:We begin at verse six and we're gonna spend a decent amount of time on this and some of the following verses.
Speaker A:I don't want this to be misunderstood.
Speaker A:This is exactly the same process that is mirrored in the New Testament.
Speaker A:If you're one of those people that's like, well, I'm trying to figure out the connection between the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Speaker A:This verse that we're going to cover, this is the one to study.
Speaker A:The verse begins by stating that Abraham believed God.
Speaker A:Yes, his actions would follow, but he had to start with the faith.
Speaker A:That faith which resided within was something only God could see.
Speaker A:Abraham believed God and trusted in what he had to say.
Speaker A:He had already engaged in discussions with God, so let's not call them arguments.
Speaker A:They were rather moments of clarification.
Speaker A:And ultimately Abraham reached the point where he said, you know what?
Speaker A:I believe you.
Speaker A:He made the decision to believe.
Speaker A:Finally.
Speaker A:From this faith that God could see came the proclamation that became the foundation of, of the gospel principles that saves us today.
Speaker A:Because Abraham believed God declared him righteous.
Speaker A:God made it absolutely clear that Abraham's righteousness was due to his faith.
Speaker A:When we say yes to Jesus, if we're truly saved and if our faith is really genuine, then this, my brothers and sisters, is the perfect model for salvation.
Speaker A:David Spoon's life has been an experience.
Speaker A:While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.
Speaker A:Then David Spoon found Jesus Christ and his life completely changed.
Speaker A:The more he studied the gospel, the more he wanted to share his experiences with others.
Speaker A:As after 35 years of ministry, David discovered a new path of service.
Speaker A:He joined KAAM and this radio program began.
Speaker A:You're about to hear the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Local, national and heavenly talk.
Speaker A:Here's what else we're looking at during the show.
Speaker A:Lessons for surviving, living and prevailing politics, entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations, my life's insanities, Nui vey so much more.
Speaker A:Now remember, it's not professional radio, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
Speaker A:Nope, it's not professional radio.
Speaker A:And to Prove it's not professional radio.
Speaker A:We'll talk to our very own Jam and Jacob, who, by the way, is the nicest guy in radio, but also the Kimba, the white lion of radio.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:Kimba the white lion.
Speaker A:Kimba the white lion was his name.
Speaker A:Our very own Jam and Jacob.
Speaker A:Jam and Jacob as the Kimba, the white lion of professional radio.
Speaker A:Is this the David Spoon experience, professional radio?
Speaker B:No, it is not, David.
Speaker A:Nice answer, Kimba.
Speaker A:Nice answer.
Speaker B:I could have done like a lion roar, but I don't want to do that.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's not like, yeah, that's it.
Speaker A:He's a pirate Kimba anyway, just roaring note.
Speaker B:It's not.
Speaker A:Yeah, we do what we can.
Speaker A:All right, Bottom line, it's not professional radio.
Speaker A:How do you know?
Speaker B:Well, David, you just roared like a lion.
Speaker A:I think that would do it right there.
Speaker A:I roared like a lion.
Speaker A:That had a little bit of a pirate in it.
Speaker A:Anyway, here's the bottom line.
Speaker A:It's just radio.
Speaker A:It's just a place of fellowship where we gather and connect.
Speaker A:That's what it is.
Speaker A:And what we want to know is, how you doing?
Speaker A:We recognize.
Speaker A:Hey, sometimes that answer is awesome.
Speaker A:You're doing great.
Speaker A:Sometimes the answer is tough.
Speaker A:I'm really having a hard time.
Speaker A:We're having a hard time.
Speaker A:Some things that we're doing here in the ministry, we just need about $60 billion.
Speaker A:Okay, that's a joke.
Speaker A:But my point is, we go through it just like everybody else.
Speaker A:But here's the deal.
Speaker A:We're going to take care of one another because that's what the Lord wants us to do.
Speaker A:By this shall all men know you are my disciples.
Speaker A:By your love, one for another.
Speaker A:We're testifying when we do it.
Speaker A:Get it.
Speaker A: d.org you are welcome to text: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Talking to Jam and Jacob is like knowing that your spiritual radio family has your back.
Speaker A:Oh, that's so nice.
Speaker B:Thank you, David.
Speaker B:Happy Monday.
Speaker A:Happy Monday to you, my friend.
Speaker A:I guess there was not a lot for you to do in that first 30 minutes as I just went off on my little tangent.
Speaker B:That's okay.
Speaker A:That was fun.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:But it's really important.
Speaker A:These things are really important.
Speaker A:I think what we need to recognize is as much as we want to structure on the show, we also want the Lord to interfere.
Speaker A:I don't mean that in a rude way.
Speaker A:I just remember many, many, many, many moons ago hearing a record about people.
Speaker A:It was a comedy record, trying to get people to recognize things.
Speaker A:And it was about God coming into the church and changing the way the church service flowed and how everybody was mad, all the elders were mad because God was in there interfering.
Speaker A:See, we never want to be people like that.
Speaker A:We want people that say, lord, this is what we're going to do.
Speaker A:But mess up whatever you want because we want more of Him.
Speaker A:How do you not want more of him in your life if you don't want more of him?
Speaker A:You're going to hate heaven.
Speaker A:I can just tell you that right now.
Speaker A:Now, the key in this is to understand why you might want to reach out to us by email, by text, or by phone.
Speaker A:It could be for a praise report.
Speaker A:Those are awesome.
Speaker A:Praise reports are cool because you hear about things that the Lord is doing.
Speaker A:It's just good to know.
Speaker A:Good to know that people are having engagements with God.
Speaker A:You should never feel jealous.
Speaker A:You should actually be so blessed that your brothers and sisters are doing that because this is your family.
Speaker A:He's not just going to do it for some.
Speaker A:He does it for his kids.
Speaker A:And hearing that helps us understand that.
Speaker A:Also, prayer requests, things that we need to petition, things that we need to seek, things that we need help in.
Speaker A:We want to help one another, bless one another, encourage one another, shine the Jesus in each of us towards one another, loving each other, and let that shine out to others.
Speaker A:And maybe it's just something happened.
Speaker A:It's just, you know, this happened and it was such a cool thing.
Speaker A:It just so blessed me.
Speaker A:It was, like, marvelous.
Speaker A:And you don't even know if you can explain it, but you want to try do it.
Speaker A:Nobody's going to be offended.
Speaker A:Love is not easily offended.
Speaker A:By the way, a lot of people in the world not having a clue what real love is.
Speaker A:Anyhow, the idea behind all of this is to do it as honorable unto the Lord.
Speaker A:That's the goal.
Speaker A:So whether you call, whether you text, whether you email or maybe you're ready and you just feel like, you know what, I can in fact do this.
Speaker A:And so I'll just make it really easy for you.
Speaker A:We'll give you A Bible trivia question.
Speaker A:See how you can do this.
Speaker A:This is coming out of Jude.
Speaker A:There's only one chapter in Jude, so we'll just say Jude 1:9.
Speaker A:But it's just verse nine.
Speaker A:Technically, very simple.
Speaker A:What archangel is clearly called by name in the Book of Jude?
Speaker A:Is it Gabriel, Silas, Michael or Melchizedek?
Speaker A:What archangel is clearly called by name in the Book of Jude?
Speaker A:Your reference, Jude 1:9.
Speaker A:Was it Gabriel, Silas, Michael or Melchizedek?
Speaker A:That is your trivia question.
Speaker A:Before we do anything else, a quick reminder.
Speaker A:Thursday we are going to be preempted for Texas A and M men's basketball.
Speaker A:Aggies basketball at 2:00.
Speaker A:Their pregame starts at 2 and then the live game starts at 2:30.
Speaker A:We encourage you to listen to it.
Speaker A:We're for the Aggies.
Speaker A:We love that the first 30 minutes are just going to be.
Speaker A:It's going to be a replay, but it is a very, very good replay.
Speaker A:Let me just say that now, if the Aggies win, then they will play again on Friday.
Speaker A:And if they don't, well, then we'll be there Friday.
Speaker A:So I'm just telling you ahead of time so that you can know what's going on.
Speaker A:This information is, by the way, on our website, at least for it is for Thursday.
Speaker A:So Thursday definitely being preempted.
Speaker A:So from 1:30 to 2, we're going to do a replay, an excellent replay.
Speaker A:And then from two on will be the Aggies basketball.
Speaker A:Just want to make sure you get that right.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:So I want to make sure nobody misses that.
Speaker A:You've heard it here first.
Speaker A:Not just from me, but also the nicest guy on the radio.
Speaker A:Also who we called Kimba.
Speaker A:Kimba the White Lion.
Speaker A:You guys, you have to remember Kimba and Kimba the White lion was his name.
Speaker A:You think they came up with Lion King all on their own?
Speaker A:Anyway.
Speaker A:All right, so that story's about 50 plus years old.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:We do have somebody ready to answer the trivia question.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Is that correct?
Speaker A:Let's let them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker C:Hi, Doctor.
Speaker C:This is Fred.
Speaker C:How are you doing today?
Speaker A:I'm doing great, Red.
Speaker A:How are you?
Speaker C:I'm doing fine, sir.
Speaker A:All right, now, I hope you got to hear that earlier part of that show.
Speaker A:Did you get to hear that intro part?
Speaker C:I love every bit of that.
Speaker C:You are on point, right?
Speaker C:Right on point, sir.
Speaker A:That was so much fun.
Speaker A:You know, when the Lord's doing it, you're just like, I'm just hanging onto the Roller coaster, man.
Speaker A:I'm just.
Speaker A:I don't know where he's going, but let's go.
Speaker C:Whenever the Holy Ghost is using somebody, like he was just using you, you can't do nothing but succeed and do well.
Speaker C:And that was very, very good.
Speaker A:Yeah, I appreciate that, bro.
Speaker A:That was a lot of fun to do.
Speaker A:All right, let's get it set up.
Speaker A:I strongly believe in my heart you're going to be able to make this very clear.
Speaker A:I'll ask the question, and you give the answer.
Speaker A:What archangel is clearly called by name in the Book of Jude?
Speaker A:Is it Gabriel, Silas, Michael, or Melchizedek?
Speaker C:You know, it's funny.
Speaker C:The devil don't care nothing about us calling him Satan or Slew Foot or any other name that we have for him, but we should all do like this angel did, and he just simply says, the Lord rebuke you.
Speaker C:And that angel's name is Michael.
Speaker A:That is correct.
Speaker A:You know, you bring up such a good point.
Speaker A:Everybody does this thing where they want to get into this engagement.
Speaker A:And I've watched this, and I've watched this in Deliverance Ministries and things like this.
Speaker A:It's like, you know, it seems a little wiser just to go, the Lord rebuke you.
Speaker A:It seems like that would just be a better plan.
Speaker A:Since that's what the archangel does.
Speaker A:I'm thinking, yeah, the.
Speaker A:That seems wise.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker C:He doesn't care for us.
Speaker C:He's the one.
Speaker C:One of many angels that cast Satan and one third of heaven out because they just rebel against God.
Speaker C:I mean, that's Michael.
Speaker C:Michael does not like Satan at all.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:That is correct, Amundo.
Speaker A:That is for sure.
Speaker A:And don't you love that how God said, all right, Michael, take care of it.
Speaker C:Take care of my light work.
Speaker C:Take care of my light work.
Speaker C:Because he's nothing compared to God.
Speaker C:So I'm just letting my archangel take care of.
Speaker A:That's exactly correct.
Speaker A:Excellent.
Speaker A:Excellent point.
Speaker A:Excellent job.
Speaker A:Another phenomenal call.
Speaker A:I love it when you call in, brother.
Speaker A:I really do.
Speaker A:I really appreciate it.
Speaker C:Well, God bless you.
Speaker C:God bless you.
Speaker C:Hang up as usual and listen to you.
Speaker A:All right, my bro.
Speaker A:Take care.
Speaker A:Bye bye.
Speaker A:Another phenomenal job by Fred.
Speaker A:He rules.
Speaker A:I love when he calls it.
Speaker A:All right, so we are doing our DNA.
Speaker A:And don't think we're not doing our DNA, because everything I think, listen, I could be wrong about a lot of things, right?
Speaker A:I thought the Red Wings would be playing a lot better.
Speaker A:Seven in a row.
Speaker A:Now they've lost four in a row.
Speaker A:Hey, I'm wrong about a lot of things, but this is not something I'm wrong about.
Speaker A:And that is the importance of our DNA.
Speaker A:D Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Speaker A:That is the most important thing.
Speaker A:And you think how?
Speaker A:Because the illustration, by the way, is given in Scripture, I'm not sure.
Speaker A:And most people will say, well, Jesus, he spent time with the Father and separated himself.
Speaker A:And that is correct.
Speaker A:He separated himself from all distractions.
Speaker A:He didn't spend time with the Father when there was a whole bunch of noise around him.
Speaker A:He did it privately.
Speaker A:And I still love and will maintain this.
Speaker A:You get into disagreements with people.
Speaker A:None of this is fellowship oriented.
Speaker A:But you know, when Jesus was baptized, and then the Father says, this is my son in whom I am well pleased.
Speaker A:He said that word well pleased in the Greek, and that's exceedingly pleased, which talks about a duration of quality and quantity.
Speaker A:And you just think, well, what did Jesus do prior to that?
Speaker A:Prior to him offering himself for the baptism, what did he do?
Speaker A:He didn't even go through the temptation.
Speaker A:Temptations took place afterwards.
Speaker A:Well, he had a solid 30 year relationship with the Father.
Speaker A:And good or right relationship develops right ministry and right ministry develops kingdom advancement.
Speaker A:And the Father was well pleased.
Speaker A:And that's the start of everything.
Speaker A:Drawing closer to the Lord daily.
Speaker A:Because right relationship leads to everything right.
Speaker A:And having a right relationship with God is the place to start.
Speaker A:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Speaker A:It was Jesus who said, give us this day our daily bread, right?
Speaker A:Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:So in another country, you just can't believe this stuff is happening in another country.
Speaker A:Now somebody who posted Bible verses was visited by their police patrol for posting a Bible verse on a social website.
Speaker A:You're just like, what is going on?
Speaker A:A European country, by the way.
Speaker A:You're just thinking, what is going on?
Speaker A:The enemy has a tactic.
Speaker A:It is very specific.
Speaker A:This isn't prophetic, this is common sense.
Speaker A:Remember God said, come, let us reason together.
Speaker A:In Isaiah, the enemy wants to outlaw the word of God in every possible nation, in every possible place.
Speaker A:And Jesus said, if you're ashamed of me or my words, I'll be ashamed of you when I come in the glory of the Father with the angels.
Speaker A:So yeah, not going to be ashamed of what Jesus said.
Speaker A:Not going to be ashamed of Jesus's words, which by the way, he's called the word of God.
Speaker A:John chapter 1, verse 1 and 2d draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:A always Be ready.
Speaker B:To serve.
Speaker A:This is all about what we're focused on.
Speaker A:It is.
Speaker A:It is.
Speaker A:There is no.
Speaker A:Scripture does not in Philippians say, never think about yourself.
Speaker A:That's not exactly how that goes.
Speaker A:It's kind of a.
Speaker A:It's kind of a tough or really a sad theology.
Speaker A:It's just that other people should be as much a part of your fluidness of thought as you are.
Speaker A:That's what it is.
Speaker A:Because that's what the gospel call is.
Speaker A:Jesus, I did not come to be served, but to serve and give my life a ransom for many.
Speaker A:That's what the serving part is.
Speaker A:Ready to serve, to help, to be a part of it.
Speaker A:Here I am, dad.
Speaker A:Whatever you want, I'm right here.
Speaker A:That's what we're talking about.
Speaker A:That's the spirit that God wants us operating with on a regular basis.
Speaker A:D.
Speaker A:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
Speaker A:N.
Speaker A:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
Speaker A:A.
Speaker A:Always be ready to serve.
Speaker A:We'll take a short break and then come back.
Speaker A:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break.

Speaker A:There's Ka Man 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
Speaker A:I've got a couple of great trivia questions for you.
Speaker A:Here is the next one Is Balaam who is in the Old Testament a prophet, a donkey or a city in the Bible?
Speaker A:In the Old Testament Is Balaam prophet, a donkey or a city in the Old Testament?
Speaker A:If you think you know what's our number?
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:Or you can send an email davidemustincrease.org okay, in the Old Testament, Balaam, is that a prophet, a donkey or a city in the Bible?
Speaker A:That is the question.
Speaker A:Before we do anything else, quick reminder on that schedule, I just want you guys to be aware of that.
Speaker A:Plus your host is asking you for a little bit of prayer because ironically we are going to be watching our grandkids.
Speaker A:All the grandkids are going to be over at our house for like a four day stint and normally you'd think, oh, that sounds like lots of fun.
Speaker A:It's great having grandkids.
Speaker A:It's great that you can send the grandkids home.
Speaker A:Okay, this is the great thing about grandparents.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So we're going to need a little bit of prayer because between Noel and I, we have to coordinate to be there continually.
Speaker A:So just letting you know, some of us are calling out for prayer ahead of time.
Speaker A:That's pretty funny, huh?
Speaker A:I'm honest about this stuff.
Speaker A:This is, you know, I mean, I love them, but after 24 straight hours, oh boy.
Speaker A:There's only one person I can hang out with straight 24 hours, never have a problem with.
Speaker A:It's my wife.
Speaker A:It's Noelle.
Speaker A:Not a problem.
Speaker A:Everybody else.
Speaker B:It'S a fun time.
Speaker B:And then after a little bit, you're like, okay, I'm over it.
Speaker A:We used to do this.
Speaker A:Not, don't get mad at me.
Speaker A:This is just how I am and how I was raised.
Speaker A:But the kids would come over and then, you know, people come over and.
Speaker A:You ever notice when somebody comes over there?
Speaker A:Sometimes when you guys are done doing everything you're doing, there's a lull.
Speaker A:There's like this little lull that takes place when we're done.
Speaker A:And so instead of letting that lull happen, I'd say, okay, it's time for you to leave.
Speaker A:Go home.
Speaker B:There's always the lull where you just kind of sit around and have the TV on.
Speaker A:I just can't stand that.
Speaker A:So I just say, okay, we're done.
Speaker A:Get out.
Speaker A:Hey, I didn't say I was perfect.
Speaker A:I just said I was unique.
Speaker A:Somebody is ready to answer a trivia question.
Speaker A:Let's send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker F:Hi, Dr.
Speaker F:David.
Speaker F:This is Joy Ann.
Speaker F:Enjoying your laughter and your wonderful teaching.
Speaker F:Thank you.
Speaker A:Hi, is Cordelia there with you?
Speaker F:Say that again.
Speaker A:Is your sister there with you?
Speaker F:No, actually I am driving to my doctor, but I wanted to at least answer that easy trivia and then share a quick prayer request.
Speaker F:If I may, sir.
Speaker A:You got it.
Speaker A:Let's do the trivia question first and then we'll go to the prayer in the Old Testament, Balaam.
Speaker A:Is Balaam a prophet, a donkey, or a city in the Bible?
Speaker F:Well, he is definitely a prophet, but he acted like a donkey.
Speaker A:There you go.
Speaker A:What a great answer.
Speaker A:That could be one of the best answers.
Speaker A:That was a brilliant answer.
Speaker A:I just want to let you know that you get mega props for answering with such wisdom.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker F:You're so kind.
Speaker F:You're fun.
Speaker F:My prayer request is my brother let me know that his wife, my sister in law, is en route to the hospital.
Speaker F:Hospital With a very low blood sugar reading.
Speaker F:Just 31.
Speaker F:She has diabetes, so that's kind of an emergency for her.
Speaker F:So would you pray for Rachel to be okay?
Speaker F:And for my brother, too.
Speaker F:He worked so hard keeping her alive.
Speaker F:He really does.
Speaker F:He's just.
Speaker F:What a wonderful man.
Speaker F:He is of God.
Speaker A:What's your brother's name again?
Speaker A:Is that Gene?
Speaker F:Yes.
Speaker F:Jean's wife, Rachel, she's had diabetes for many, many years.
Speaker F:It's amazing that she's even alive.
Speaker F:But right now she is dangerously low, which is the 31 blood sugar.
Speaker A:All right, so we want to pray for Rachel and then we want to pray for Jean, too, correct?
Speaker F:Yes, because he's like, her caregiver and helps her to stay alive.
Speaker A:All right, so you can hang on or you can listen on the radio.
Speaker A:It's up to you.
Speaker A:I just want you to be safe driving.
Speaker A:So that's up to you.
Speaker F:Yeah, thank you.
Speaker F:I will still listen up with my phone to my ears.
Speaker A:Okay, got it.
Speaker F:Thank you, sir.
Speaker A:Let's do it.
Speaker A:Father, we come before you right now.
Speaker A:We thank you and we praise you.
Speaker A:I thank you for Joy Ann.
Speaker A:I thank you for Cordelia and both of them being such a blessing to the ministry.
Speaker A:Thank you for bringing them into our lives.
Speaker A:We appreciate that deeply.
Speaker A:And all of their love, all of their support, all of their care, all of their prayers, which we so greatly appreciate.
Speaker A:Now, we've got situations, Lord, that only you can bring real solutions to.
Speaker A:So first, we lift up Rachel to you.
Speaker A:The low count is just not good.
Speaker A:Things get too low, things don't function right.
Speaker A:There's not the right flow.
Speaker A:There's always a disruption, and then there's disruption in the thinking, disruption in the bodily functions.
Speaker A:Lord, I'm not a doctor, but you created us and you made us to be a certain way, to run at certain levels and exist in certain levels.
Speaker A:And we are asking you, who is the great physician, to bring healing into Rachel's body in ways that man cannot understand.
Speaker A:You can fix anything that's wrong with your creation in a moment's notice.
Speaker A:You can bring your creation back up from the dead.
Speaker A:You can fix anything in there.
Speaker A:And so we are asking you, as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord God that heals, to bring healing power into Rachel.
Speaker A:We are asking you to heal her and that it would be a wonderful testimony how she was delivered out of the situation by your grace, by your mercy, by your compassion.
Speaker A:And we also lift up Jean, who's gotta be carrying the load.
Speaker A:It's not easy.
Speaker A:And when people are carrying the load, they need help.
Speaker A:They need other people to get behind them.
Speaker A:Help them keep their arms up.
Speaker A:Help them to keep going, keep praying, keep moving forward.
Speaker A:So we ask for a real spirit of refreshment and renewal to fall upon Gene.
Speaker A:Kind of like an extra step.
Speaker A:You make it clear in Colossians 1:29, Paul said he works with the energy you give him.
Speaker A:And so we're asking you to give Gene that same energy so he can keep going and be well in doing it.
Speaker A:We ask you to bless them, their family.
Speaker A:Keep them tight, keep them protected.
Speaker A:Let your angels watch out for them, Lord.
Speaker A:Keep them safe against the enemy.
Speaker A:We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Speaker A:Amen and amen.
Speaker F:Amen.
Speaker F:Praise the Lord.
Speaker F:We receive that.
Speaker F:Thank you, Dr.
Speaker F:David.
Speaker F:I'll keep you posted and continue prayers for Keith Oakley and Rosalind's mom and all.
Speaker F:We love everyone.
Speaker F:Amen on this show.
Speaker F:Okay.
Speaker F:Blessings.
Speaker F:Thank you.
Speaker A:God bless.
Speaker A:Bye bye.
Speaker F:Bye bye.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Excellent job.
Speaker A:Excellent calls, people.
Speaker A:You guys are doing great.
Speaker A:I really appreciate it.
Speaker A:We won't get through this whole teaching, by the way, today I wasn't really thinking I was going to get through this whole teaching, because this teaching.
Speaker A:So I wrote a long paper on this teaching.
Speaker A:You're thinking, what's a long paper?
Speaker A:Well, that one was 39.
Speaker A:Might have been 39 pages.
Speaker A:I can't remember.
Speaker A:And I could just.
Speaker A:And I'm not going to do it, but it's just so great, so brilliant.
Speaker A:So I just want to pick it up.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:So I want to make sure that we're together in this and kind of processing this.
Speaker A:So I want to look at Genesis chapter 15, and we're going to go to verse five, but the key point is going to be verse six.
Speaker A:And we're only going to do it for a couple minutes, then we'll break.
Speaker A:But I want to ramp it up so you can be with me in this.
Speaker A:So verse 5 of Genesis 15 says this.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:This is what the verse 5 says.
Speaker A:Then the Lord brought Abraham outside beneath the night sky and told him, look up into heaven and count the stars if you can.
Speaker A:Your descendants will be like that.
Speaker A:Too many to count.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:God gives us this huge promise.
Speaker A:You're going to have so many descendants, Wowzer.
Speaker A:You're not even going to be able to count them.
Speaker A:And by the way, you can't count them because everybody who's got genuine faith is considered a descendant of Abraham.
Speaker A:All you got to do is read Galatians 3:7, 3:9, and 3:29, and you find out all three verses, connect us that everybody that has Faith in the Lord is an heir of Abraham who demonstrated faith in the Lord.
Speaker A:Verse 6 says this.
Speaker A:And Abraham believed the Lord and the Lord declared him righteous because of his faith.
Speaker A:And what many of us do.
Speaker A:And by the way, this is the entire premise of the book of Galatians.
Speaker A:What many of us do is we hear the gospel and we go, what a story.
Speaker A:What a deal for us.
Speaker A:We say, yes, we surrender, we believe, all the bad gets wiped out.
Speaker A:How incredible.
Speaker A:Who could ever match that kind of offer?
Speaker A:And so Abraham believes the Lord and the Lord declares him righteous because of his faith.
Speaker A:And what some of us do is instead of saying, there, that's done, we say, now I've got to.
Speaker A:And then we think we can carry it on for God.
Speaker A:I've got a message for you.
Speaker A:Faith does have fruits to it, but it has to exist first.
Speaker A:It has to have connective material that we do.
Speaker A:But faith is the principle that God has chosen to make mankind right with him through Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:It is faith.
Speaker A:It is impossible to please God without faith.
Speaker A:Think about that.
Speaker A:There's not many things the Bible talks about being impossible.
Speaker A:You recognize that, right?
Speaker A:There's certainly God can't lie.
Speaker A:Okay, that's one.
Speaker A:And you can't please God without it.
Speaker A:Without faith.
Speaker A:It's like, that's so powerful, that statement.
Speaker A:And that faith that brought you in, that's the faith that saves you.
Speaker A:That's the faith that's saving you.
Speaker A:That's the faith that will save you.
Speaker A:It's the same faith.
Speaker A:It's very simple.
Speaker A:When people talk about losing their salvation, go all over the place and get into the theologies, I just want to break it down.
Speaker A:If you maintain the same faith you started with, you're saved, done.
Speaker A:And if you quit on that faith, then people would question whether you actually had it in the first place.
Speaker A:It's not that the faith is any different.
Speaker A:This is why it's important to stay at this reset point between you and God.
Speaker A:He loves your faith.
Speaker A:He's already chosen you.
Speaker A:Please him.
Speaker A:How do I please him?
Speaker A:Well, without faith, it's impossible to please him.
Speaker A:And Abraham said, yes.
Speaker A:And God said, awesome.
Speaker A:This is the thing I'm going to use with everybody.
Speaker A:It came down to this moment, and I just want to point this and then we'll take the break.
Speaker A:It came down to this moment where Abraham said, you know what?
Speaker A:I believe.
Speaker A:And then everything changed.
Speaker A:It came down to the moment where you said, I believe, and the changes in your life began in motion.
Speaker A:No, it doesn't happen the same way.
Speaker A:With everybody all the time?
Speaker A:Of course not.
Speaker A:We're all different.
Speaker A:We know that.
Speaker A:We all have different ways that things.
Speaker A:But God's vehicle of faith, the same thing that he saved you with is the same thing he wants you operating with on a continual basis.
Speaker A:Because as First Corinthians 15, 1, 2 and 3, make it clear, the gospel that saved you and keeps you and you believing it.
Speaker A:John 3:16.
Speaker A:I love this.
Speaker A:I love the King James more.
Speaker A:Because God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever should believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Speaker A:It's the believeth, the keep believing thing.
Speaker A:Get it?
Speaker A:That's what made Abraham right with God, by the way.
Speaker A:That is the greatest forerunner to the New Testament.
Speaker A:So locked in.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:We will take a short break and then come back.
Speaker A:You are listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:Short break.
Speaker A:We'll be back.
Speaker A:Don't go anywhere.
Speaker D:What is the David Spoon experience?
Speaker A:Isaiah, chapter 63, verse 8 through 9, says this.
Speaker A:He said, surely they are my people, sons who will not be false to me.
Speaker A:And so he became their Savior.
Speaker A:In all their distress, he too was distressed.
Speaker A:So I want to make sure you understand.
Speaker A:We've talked about this before.
Speaker A:You've heard some of my testimony.
Speaker A:If you want to really get a better hand on my testimony, I'll shamelessly plug the Broken for His Glory book which contains the testimony.
Speaker A:But you can get it for free if you do it through Kindle.
Speaker A:And then otherwise it's like seven bucks or something.
Speaker A:That's not very much.
Speaker A:It's kind of a fascinating journey on becoming saved and then going through bad churches or a bad church and then coming back into good church.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:That's not always easy to do.
Speaker A:One of the big premises of the book and of my entire Christian journey is a passage like this which says.
Speaker A:He said, surely they are my people, sons who will not be false to me.
Speaker A:And so he became their Savior.
Speaker A:And in all their distress, he too was distressed.
Speaker A:I think it's important for you and I to understand the level to which God has put himself or placed Himself.
Speaker A:He's not incomplete without us in the theological term, that God can exist completely independently and doesn't need us, but he bears with us or connects to us in such a way that he feels with us.
Speaker A:And so I think it's important for you and I to grasp that Paul was on the road to Damascus and then the Lord appears to him, right?
Speaker A:And we've talked about this before, you know, knocks him, you know, knocks him off his donkey and blinds him.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:Now you just have to imagine you're on a donkey, bamo.
Speaker A:You're on the ground.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Not on a comfy table or a comfy chair or a comfy bed.
Speaker A:On the ground and you're blind.
Speaker A:So this is a real wake up call.
Speaker A:And then Jesus says to him, Saul, before he becomes Paul, why are you persecuting me?
Speaker A:And what does Paul say?
Speaker A:Saul says, he says, who are you?
Speaker A:Because this is like this is outer limits stuff right here.
Speaker A:And then Jesus goes, I'm Jesus whom you're persecuting.
Speaker A:But the irony behind that is that Jesus made the identification with the church because Saul was persecuting the church.
Speaker A:But Jesus goes, I'm the one you're persecuting.
Speaker A:Now see?
Speaker A:See how he connects himself to the people?
Speaker A:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
Speaker A:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770.
Speaker A:The truth station here in Texas is Ka Amen 770, the truth station here in Texas.
Speaker A:And have I got a trivia question for you.
Speaker A:Okay, ready?
Speaker A:True or false?
Speaker A:The word soap is never used in the Bible.
Speaker A:True or false?
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:True or false?
Speaker A:The word soap is never used in the Bible.
Speaker A:True or false?
Speaker A:If you think you know the answer.
Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A: -: Speaker A:True or false?
Speaker A:That's the question.
Speaker A:I'm going to send you up to the website.
Speaker A:I haven't even done this really once the entire show which is kind of weird.
Speaker A:I do want you to be aware that we are in a tough place.
Speaker A:I don't like being in a tough place.
Speaker A:It's like, right, I hate that.
Speaker A:But I need your help and that's the truth of the matter.
Speaker A:Here's the dealios.
Speaker A:We exist off of the offerings of our listeners.
Speaker A:The donations non profit corporation.
Speaker A:We send you a receipt at the end of the year.
Speaker A:You don't get a Lamborghini, you don't get a whistle, you don't get a donut.
Speaker A:Although people should get a donut every once in a while.
Speaker A:But we're not going to send it in the mail.
Speaker A:Bottom line is we need help.
Speaker A:We're hurting.
Speaker A:So you can help if you can.
Speaker A:If you can't, do not get manipulated through this.
Speaker A:I hate that, hate that, hate that.
Speaker A:What you got to do is absolutely do this before the Lord, unto the Lord, and that's the only way that it should be done.
Speaker A:We're asking for help.
Speaker A:And if you can help, and you can do that, great.
Speaker A:If you can't help us in finances, please help us in petitioning.
Speaker A:We would ask you that.
Speaker A:Our scripture is 2 Corinthians 9, 6, 7.
Speaker A:Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly.
Speaker A:Whoever sows bountifully will reap bountifully.
Speaker A:Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly, nor under compulsion.
Speaker A:For God loves a cheerful giver.
Speaker A:So make sure you got the right spirit if you're giving.
Speaker A:Okay, Check it all out on our website.
Speaker A:Hemustincrease.org Prayer request hemostincrease.org Praise report.
Speaker A:Hemostincrease.org Looking to give to this ministry.
Speaker A:Hemustincrease.org Confused by what's happening right now.
Speaker A:Hemustincrease.org hemustincrease.org yeah, I could never do that on a drum.
Speaker A:You know how they do that on the drums?
Speaker A:And they go.
Speaker A:I tried to drum once.
Speaker A:It didn't work out very well.
Speaker A:You just say that.
Speaker A:I am not coordinated for dry.
Speaker A:I could strum a guitar.
Speaker A:I can do chords.
Speaker A:I cannot drum.
Speaker A:I can't do it.
Speaker A:I don't know what it is.
Speaker B:I can drum, as in, I can have drumsticks and I can hit the drums, but they won't be in any sort of rhythm or.
Speaker B:Yeah, it won't sound great.
Speaker A:That is a great one.
Speaker A:I can drive as a drumsticks.
Speaker A:That is genius.
Speaker A:I just want to say that to you.
Speaker A:We're getting people with genius answers today.
Speaker A:I just want to point that out.
Speaker A:All right, we do have somebody on the line.
Speaker A:We're going to send them on through.
Speaker A:Knock, knock.
Speaker A:This is David.
Speaker A:Who am I talking to?
Speaker G:Hey, David.
Speaker A:Hello.
Speaker A:Who is this?
Speaker G:This is Brandon.
Speaker A:Hey, Brandon, how are ya doing?
Speaker G:All right.
Speaker A:All right, I'm going to set you up on this question.
Speaker A:Let me get to it, and then you can give me what you got.
Speaker A:And I just have great confidence that you will be very close or.
Speaker A:Right on.
Speaker A:All right, here we go.
Speaker A:True or false?
Speaker A:The word soap is never used in the Bible.
Speaker A:True or false?
Speaker G:Well, I know in the Bible it talks about how people were saying that, complaining about Washing their hands and all that.
Speaker G:But I don't remember them actually saying the word soap.
Speaker G:So I guess.
Speaker A:You'Re gonna guess it's not in the Bible if you're gonna guess false.
Speaker A:If you weren't gonna guess false, what would you guess?
Speaker G:Well, it's not in the Bible.
Speaker A:Correct, Correct.
Speaker A:If you weren't going to guess that, what would you guess that is in the Bible?
Speaker A:That is correct.
Speaker G:Earlier, when you were talking about, you have faith, you'll have everlasting life, but isn't there a caveat to that?
Speaker G:Faith without works is dead.
Speaker A:Yes, but faith has to precede, and that's the element that people do miss on that.
Speaker A:But let's go back to the soap real quickly.
Speaker A:Jeremiah 2.
Speaker A:22, it talks about soap.
Speaker A:Malachi, 3:2, it talks about soap.
Speaker A:And Job, 9:30.
Speaker A:Snow.
Speaker A:Water is also translated soap.
Speaker A:So there's actually three references to it.
Speaker A:So that's an important.
Speaker A:That's kind of a cool.
Speaker A:Oh, that's pretty weird.
Speaker A:You know, it's like people would think, really, it's in there.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:In fact, somebody on television said, well, stupid is not in the Bible.
Speaker A:Yes, it is actually in Proverbs twice.
Speaker A:So anyway, my point is, it's like, oh, it's there, it's there.
Speaker A:So soap is there.
Speaker A:But now, going back to your point, and you bring an excellent point, it is the other part of the argument, and that is, if you have faith, it's going to manifest, okay?
Speaker A:And it's going to manifest in different works.
Speaker A:But to get to those works, there is something inside of us that says yes.
Speaker A:And that's what motivates it.
Speaker A:And that's why the faith precedes it in its place.
Speaker A:Abraham's faith was actually ultimately tested 25 years after God made him declared righteous when he was told to offer up his son.
Speaker A:That was the definitive moment that his faith had the ultimate action.
Speaker A:But he was already declared righteous by his faith 25 years earlier.
Speaker A:So you got to work them together.
Speaker A:Does that make sense?
Speaker G:Yes, sir.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Excellent job.
Speaker A:And just for the future, if somebody says soap now, you can go, yes.
Speaker A:Yes, it is.
Speaker A:Good job, brother.
Speaker A:Excellent job.
Speaker G:All right, I'm actually driving on the road right now, and I would like to donate, but it's kind of hard to deal with that.
Speaker G:Is there any way y'all could text me information where I can go ahead and donate?
Speaker A:I can't.
Speaker A:What y'all do is I'll turn you over to Jacob and then he'll send you to where to do that to.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:If you have a problem, reach out to me.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:In other words, the.
Speaker A:Typically that number for texting, the 214, that's also our ministry number.
Speaker A:And sometimes I'll have to walk people through it if they can't do it on their own, which is not a big deal.
Speaker A:It only takes like two minutes.
Speaker A:But what I want you to do is I'll give you back to Jacob and he'll give you the website and the number.
Speaker A:And then if there's a problem, just text me and let me know and then I'll get it coordinated for you.
Speaker G:Thank you much.
Speaker A:You got it.
Speaker A:God bless you, bro.
Speaker A:Okay, bye bye.
Speaker A:All right, so go ahead, Jacob, talk to him and get.
Speaker A:Give him the website address, which is the hemustincrease.org and the 214 number.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:All right, great.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:We do stuff like this.
Speaker A:Okay, Now I want to go back.
Speaker A:I want to go back to my little gray shack in Kualakuku, Hawaii.
Speaker A:Okay, Back to this portion here.
Speaker A:Now I want you to see this.
Speaker A:And I find this fascinating because I think Abraham is.
Speaker A:He's like my guy.
Speaker A:Like when I became a Christian, being born and raised Jewish, right?
Speaker A:And then becoming a Christian, I've always thought this guy was called the friend of God.
Speaker A:And I just love that, that he's the friend of God.
Speaker A:That's such a phenomenal title.
Speaker A:But when I look at his life, you recognize not everything he said and did.
Speaker A:Not everything he did was perfect.
Speaker A:I know you know that, right?
Speaker A:I mean, he even kind of went early with the Ishmael thing.
Speaker A:We'll get to that later on in chapter 16.
Speaker A:But I want you to see what Abraham says to God so that you can see this engagement they have.
Speaker A:So it says Abraham believed God and the Lord declared him righteous because of his faith.
Speaker A:Verse 7.
Speaker A:Then the Lord told him, I am the Lord who brought you out of the Ur of Chaldeans to give you this land.
Speaker A:So before we say anything else or do anything else, I need you to understand with me, and it's really, really important.
Speaker A:The earth is owned by God.
Speaker A:Now let me help.
Speaker A:In one area, Adam forfeited rights of certain elements of control when he sinned.
Speaker A:Adam and Eve gave territory to territorial rights to Satan because of sin, to allow a lot of darkness into the sphere, into the world.
Speaker A:But at no point did God say, the earth isn't mine, I don't want it, you can have it.
Speaker A:It's okay with me.
Speaker A:God always owned and always owns and always retains ownership of the earth.
Speaker A:And God calls the earth his footstool.
Speaker A:So on the scale of creation, it may not be quite as high as people want to try and make it to be, because God calls it his footstool.
Speaker A:And what is important to understand is God tells Abraham, listen, I'm giving you land.
Speaker A:And it's very important to understand that when Jesus comes back, even though we're going into a new heavens and new earth, when Jesus comes back, whether this is at what point this takes place eschatologically, that's not what I'm talking about.
Speaker A:I'm talking about the reality check, that when the Lord returns, everybody's going to figure out in a very fast moment, all of mankind rents, nobody owns anything.
Speaker A:In the context that it is ultimately God's together give, and it is also God's to take away.
Speaker A:So he's going to give this land and this land will be theirs, but we're going to see a new heavens and a new earth, and they'll get the land in the new heavens and the new earth, which won't be polluted.
Speaker A:And that's probably how that will all come together.
Speaker A:But I'm trying to make a distinction here.
Speaker A:God owns the planet, It's His Earth.
Speaker A:We allowed sin in, and that was dumb.
Speaker A:We got the redemption through Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:But it's God's plan.
Speaker A:And every time somebody says it's not, and mankind has a right to tell God what to do, you just try to hold back.
Speaker A:Because God is sovereign, he's omniscient, it is all His.
Speaker A:And he's going to give what he wants to who he wants to, when he wants, how he's going to do that.
Speaker A:He's the one that brings us out of darkness, out of sin, out of bondage, out of evil, into his promise in the promised land.
Speaker A:It all comes from Him.
Speaker A:God is in charge.
Speaker A:Stop thinking the government is in charge.
Speaker A:Stop thinking Satan is in charge.
Speaker A:I laugh at people that talk about worshiping Satan because Satan can't even leave the earth without God's permission.
Speaker A:That doesn't seem like Satan's in charge of anything.
Speaker A:Sounds like he's a prisoner.
Speaker A:Aha.
Speaker A:That's the truth.
Speaker A:So who's in charge?
Speaker A:God's in charge.
Speaker A:God's in charge.
Speaker A:Who's in charge?
Speaker A:God's in charge.
Speaker A:So everybody calm down.
Speaker A:Nothing is taking place.
Speaker A:I love what Pastor Richard said at the church service.
Speaker A:He said, there is nothing that catches God by surprise.
Speaker A:Nothing.
Speaker A:God's not.
Speaker A:Oh, I didn't see that coming.
Speaker A:If you're omniscient.
Speaker A:You know, everything.
Speaker A:Okay, there's about 36 verses that say God is omniscient for those that are wondering.
Speaker A:But the thing that I pick up on on this, and the last thing I'm going to close with is this.
Speaker A:And I just, I just, I love it because it's human.
Speaker A:So look at what he says.
Speaker A:He says, I am the Lord who brought you out of the Earl of Chaldeans to give you this land.
Speaker A:Now here's Abraham's Response in verse 8.
Speaker A:But Abraham replied, o Sovereign Lord, how can I be sure that you will give it to me?
Speaker A:I think what gets missed here is the human part.
Speaker A:And this is what I mean.
Speaker A:Even Abraham, who is already justified by his faith, you can't unjustify it.
Speaker A:It says in verse six.
Speaker A:What does it say?
Speaker A:It says, abraham believed the Lord and the Lord declared him righteous because of his faith.
Speaker A:There's not an undoing of that.
Speaker A:But afterwards, Abraham goes, well, how am I going to be sure that you're going to give it to me?
Speaker A:And I see this as the human part of our walk.
Speaker A:Saying that somebody even as great as the patriarch Abraham had his moments, had his doubts, just like you and me.
Speaker A:We're going to focus on that next week, by the way.
Speaker A:But what Abraham desires to know is how he can be sure that God's going to fulfill his promise.
Speaker A:And what I'm trying to say to you is that's the very similar thing that you and I go through.
Speaker A:We want to make sure God's going to fulfill the promise.
Speaker A:And it wasn't any different for Abraham.
Speaker A:He believed God, right?
Speaker A:He didn't believe in a God.
Speaker A:He believed God.
Speaker A:Satan believes in a God, but he didn't believe God.
Speaker A:There's a big difference.
Speaker A:Believing in God and then believing God.
Speaker A:And Abraham had this.
Speaker A:He had faith, but he was like, yeah, but how am I going to know for sure?
Speaker A:That moment right there, that's the thing, I think, that connects us to the normal part of this with the Lord.
Speaker A:The Lord knows how we're made.
Speaker A:The Lord knows how we're engineered.
Speaker A:The Lord knows what affects us and gets us thinking in the wrong direction.
Speaker A:And Abraham's like, how am I going to be sure about this?
Speaker A:And the Lord's going to answer him, by the way.
Speaker A:That's what all of next week is about.
Speaker A:But what I want you to see is you doing that is not that different than Abraham.
Speaker A:You're not that different.
Speaker A:Even with God talking to him, directing him, showing him, teaching him, leading him answering things for him, just protections and all these different.
Speaker A:Even with all of that, you know what Abraham said?
Speaker A:Well, how do I know?
Speaker A:I look at that and I think that makes me.
Speaker A:That comforts me.
Speaker A:It comforts me because God knows when the moments I have are weak.
Speaker A:The Lord knows when I say something stupid because I'm frustrated or I think something stupid because I'm frustrated, or I sit there and I complain because I don't like the method that God's using or the timing that God's using.
Speaker A:I read a passage like that and look at Abraham and Abraham replied, oh, sovereign Lord, he knows he's in charge.
Speaker A:He calls him sovereign Lord.
Speaker A:How can I be sure you're going to give it to me?
Speaker A:I don't think he was trying to be a jerk.
Speaker A:I think he was looking for some affirmation, maybe confirmation, maybe affirmation, one of those two.
Speaker A:And I think that's the normal part of the Christian walk.
Speaker A:I think that we are blessed a little more so than Abraham because we have this book that gives us lots of affirmation and confirmation.
Speaker A:Abraham didn't have a Bible.
Speaker A:We do.
Speaker A:And I look at it and I think, thank you Lord for being patient with me.
Speaker A:Because I know sometimes I say what he said and I have less cause to say it than he did.
