10-15-2026 PART 1: When the Enemy Attacks, God Protects, Provides, and Nourishes

Section 1

Returning to Revelation 12:13–17, Dr. Dave examines the extraordinary picture of God's protection during intense spiritual warfare. The dragon, having been cast down to earth, persecutes the woman who gave birth to the male child. While Christians hold different interpretations concerning the woman's identity and the timing of these events, Dr. Dave emphasizes something far more important than competing theological positions. The woman represents God's people in some capacity, and Scripture clearly describes the Lord protecting her from the enemy's attacks. Given two wings of a great eagle, she escapes into the wilderness, where God provides a place of safety. The central message is unmistakable: regardless of how fiercely the enemy attacks, God's authority remains supreme, and His people are never beyond His care.

Section 2

What makes this passage particularly encouraging is that God does more than protect His people. He nourishes them. Dr. Dave connects this imagery with Israel's deliverance from Egypt, where the Lord demonstrated His ability to rescue His people through extraordinary circumstances. Even while the enemy attempts destruction, God provides spiritual nourishment, renewal, and strength. This raises an important personal question: are we allowing ourselves to receive the refreshing presence of God? Whether through prayer, devotional time, worship, or quiet fellowship with the Lord, believers continually need spiritual nourishment. Difficult circumstances do not mean God has withdrawn His presence. Sometimes those very experiences become opportunities for greater dependence upon Him. His protection is accompanied by provision, and His provision includes the spiritual strength necessary to persevere.

Section 3

At the end of Revelation 12, there verse reveals another dimension of spiritual warfare as the dragon turns his attention toward those who keep God's commandments and hold the testimony of Jesus Christ. Dr. Dave explains that the enemy's opposition is not merely directed against believers collectively but also against individual Christians. Nevertheless, this passage should inspire confidence rather than fear. Even Jesus experienced confrontation with Satan in the wilderness, demonstrating that spiritual testing does not necessarily indicate abandonment by God. The Lord can use difficult seasons to refine believers, strengthen their faith, and develop greater Christlikeness. Throughout Revelation, the ultimate message remains one of victory. Every believer matters in God's kingdom, and His care is motivated by love rather than personal achievement or spiritual superiority. The enemy may attack, threaten, and oppose us, but he cannot overturn God's authority or prevent the Lord from protecting, providing for, and nourishing the people He loves.
