10-14-2026 PART 1: When the News Is Difficult, God's Faithfulness Remains Unchanged
Section 1
An emotional phone call from ROSLYN brings the radio family together in faith, prayer, and encouragement. Following another medical evaluation in Houston, ROSLYN shares that doctors discovered a new tumor measuring approximately 2.5 centimeters. Although the news was disappointing, there were encouraging details, including the possibility of treating the tumor through a less invasive procedure rather than another major surgery. She asks for continued prayer, especially for Robert, as they navigate another difficult chapter. Yet what makes her testimony remarkable is her determination to reject discouragement. Remembering God's faithfulness, she refuses to accept the enemy's suggestion that difficult circumstances mean God has abandoned them. Instead, she recalls Abraham and Sarah waiting for God's promise and recognizes that the Lord's timing does not always match our expectations.
Section 2
Responding with compassion, Dr. Dave shares something God has repeatedly been teaching him: stop telling the Lord when and how He should accomplish His purposes. He recalls Mary and Martha questioning Jesus about His delayed arrival before Lazarus died. They understood His power but struggled with His timing and methods. Nevertheless, Jesus accomplished something greater than they anticipated, producing a testimony that continues encouraging believers centuries later. Dr. Dave applies this principle to ROSLYN and Robert, reminding them that God's character remains trustworthy regardless of their present circumstances. He also acknowledges the reality of spiritual warfare, explaining that discouragement often attempts to undermine confidence precisely when believers need it most. The challenge is to resist those accusations and remain focused on the Lord rather than the surrounding difficulties.
Section 3
Faith becomes especially meaningful when believers refuse to surrender their confidence during painful uncertainty. Dr. Dave encourages ROSLYN and Robert to remember Peter walking on the water, where focusing on the wind and waves distracted him from Jesus. The same danger confronts Christians whenever circumstances appear stronger than God's promises. Through heartfelt prayer, the radio family joins together, asking the Lord to bring healing, encouragement, freedom from fear, and an even greater testimony through their experience. Dr. Dave emphasizes that believers do not need to understand tomorrow because they know the One who holds tomorrow. God's goodness is not measured by whether He follows our preferred timetable. Genuine faith does not demand that God accomplish His promises our way or according to our schedule; it trusts His character, rests in His wisdom, and continues believing even when the circumstances are difficult.
