09-30-2026 PART 1: Strength for the Work, Victory for the Battle

Section 1

Biblical truth should move believers beyond merely wanting blessings toward intentionally becoming a blessing. Dr. Dave points to Al, who regularly reaches out with one simple question: “How can I pray for you this week?” That example becomes a practical challenge for everyone—contact someone, perhaps even someone you have not spoken with recently, and ask how you can pray for them. 09302026A This reflects the love Jesus commanded His followers to demonstrate toward one another. Prayer requests allow believers to enter another person’s struggle, while praise reports allow the entire family of faith to celebrate what God has done. Prayer is also surrendered prayer. Like Jesus praying before the Father, we can boldly make our requests while ultimately saying, “Not my will, but Yours.”

Section 2

Our willingness matters, but the strength to accomplish God’s work comes from Him. In “Strength from the Source,” Dr. Dave draws from Second Thessalonians 2:16–17, where Paul asks God to encourage believers’ hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word. 09302026A Christian strength is therefore not produced simply by trying harder. Whether we are praying for someone, teaching, serving, facing a trial, or simply making it through another difficult day, God supplies what we lack. We bring willingness; He provides strength. That principle also applies as the ministry enters new territory with different technology and opportunities. Instead of assuming every answer, the proper response is prayer for wisdom and direction, trusting God to show the path while remaining willing to follow wherever He leads.

Section 3

Romans 8 provides tremendous confidence for every believer facing difficulty: Jesus is presently interceding for His people, and nothing can separate them from His love. Tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, need, danger, or even physical threats cannot interrupt what Christ is doing on our behalf. 09302026A Dr. Dave describes Jesus as our advocate—the One defending and interceding for us because He loves us. Paul then declares that through Christ we are “more than conquerors.” That does not mean trials become insignificant or painless. It means the difficulty never becomes greater than Jesus. Our confidence is not that we possess enough personal strength to barely survive; our confidence is that Christ has already conquered and supplies what we need to continue forward. You are not struggling toward victory alone—Jesus is interceding for you, His love is holding you, and through Him you are already more than a conqueror.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.

Just ask him.
