Section 1

God’s involvement in our lives often reaches into details we might consider too small to matter. Dr. Dave’s devotional, “When God Says, ‘I Got It,’” illustrates that truth through Joyanne’s lost vehicle key, which would have cost more than $400 to replace. Instead, the key unexpectedly resurfaced through a thrift store, with the finder using the phone number attached to the key ring to make contact. Jeremiah 33:3 reminds believers to call upon God and trust Him to answer, even when they cannot see what He is arranging. The lesson reaches beyond a lost key: God is resourceful, precise, and already working within circumstances that leave His children feeling uncertain. We are never forgotten, and we are never navigating life without His involvement.

Section 2

Eliezer’s return with Rebekah demonstrates why believers should freely tell the stories of what God has done. Scripture simply says that the servant told Isaac everything that had happened, but behind that statement was an extraordinary account of prayer, timing, guidance, and unmistakable providence. Dr. Dave emphasizes that we cannot predict which part of our testimony God may use to reach someone. Years ago, a deliverance story unexpectedly captured his mother’s attention when ordinary discussions about faith had not. Likewise, Billy eventually reached Dr. Dave through comic books because that was the doorway that caught his attention. Our responsibility is to tell the story honestly; God’s responsibility is to carry whatever portion He chooses from our mouths into someone else’s heart.

Section 3

Rebekah became far more than Isaac’s wife; God used her to reach a place of grief that had remained deeply painful since Sarah’s death. Isaac had shared an unusually close relationship with his mother, and Scripture specifically says that Rebekah became a special comfort to him afterward. Dr. Dave connects that experience with the tremendous grief he experienced when his own mother died and the comfort Noelle provided during that season. God understood exactly what Isaac needed emotionally and brought the right person into his life at the right time. Sometimes we fail to recognize that God has placed someone beside us specifically to help heal a wounded place; at other times, we may be the person He intends to use in someone else’s pain. God knows the shape of the wound, and He knows exactly what kind of comfort can reach it.
