Section 1

Recognizing that time is short changes the way believers approach every area of life. Dr. Dave explains that Paul's instruction is not driven by fear of the future but by the reality that every person has a limited opportunity to serve the Lord. Since no one knows what tomorrow holds, Christians are called to live with an eternal perspective, making the most of the time God has given and refusing to become distracted from His purposes.

Section 2

At the heart of Paul's teaching is the principle of priority rather than neglect. Dr. Dave emphasizes that Paul is not instructing husbands and wives to ignore one another but reminding believers that every earthly relationship must remain secondary to their relationship with God. Seeking first the Kingdom means placing the Lord above every personal desire, responsibility, and affection, allowing every other part of life to be ordered beneath His authority.

Section 3

Abraham's willingness to offer Isaac illustrates that nothing, not even God's promised blessings, can take first place over God Himself. Dr. Dave points out that Abraham trusted the Lord enough to surrender both his son and the promise attached to him, believing God would remain faithful regardless of the outcome. That same principle guides believers today: faith must always come before family, friendships, possessions, or personal ambitions. When God remains first, every other relationship and responsibility finds its proper place under His loving rule.
