07-22-2026 PART 3: Putting on the Full Armor of God
Section 1
Paul continues describing the armor of God by reminding believers that their protection begins with Christ rather than themselves. Dr. Dave explains that the breastplate of righteousness represents the perfect righteousness of Jesus covering every believer, not their own good works. With feet prepared by the gospel of peace, Christians are called to carry the message of reconciliation wherever they go, offering the lasting peace that only Christ can provide to a world desperately searching for it.
Section 2
The shield of faith enables believers to extinguish every fiery attack of the enemy by trusting God's promises instead of Satan's lies. Dr. Dave emphasizes that biblical faith is more than believing God exists—it is believing God's character, His Word, His faithfulness, and His power. As Christians rely on the Lord, faith becomes a powerful weapon that silences fear, overcomes doubt, and protects them from the enemy's attempts to discourage and defeat them.
Section 3
The armor is completed with the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and a life of continual prayer. The hope and certainty of salvation guard the believer's mind, while the Word of God serves as both a defensive and offensive weapon against spiritual opposition. Dr. Dave concludes that the armor is not complete without prayer, describing it as the sustaining strength that keeps every piece effective. As believers daily put on God's armor and remain in constant fellowship with Him, they are equipped to stand firm in every spiritual battle.
