Section 1

Paul continues describing the armor of God by reminding believers that their protection begins with Christ rather than themselves. The shield of faith enables believers to extinguish every fiery attack of the enemy by trusting God's promises instead of Satan's lies. Dr. Dave emphasizes that biblical faith is more than believing God exists—it is believing God's character, His Word, His faithfulness, and His power. As Christians rely on the Lord, faith becomes a powerful weapon that silences fear, overcomes doubt, and protects them from the enemy's attempts to discourage and defeat them.

The armor is completed with the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and a life of continual prayer. The hope and certainty of salvation guard the believer's mind, while the Word of God serves as both a defensive and offensive weapon against spiritual opposition.
