06-24-2026 PART 2: Faith for the Impossible

Section 1

Al's call becomes a powerful illustration of what many believers experience when a difficult trial stretches on far longer than expected. As he shares the ongoing challenges surrounding LORI's health, Dr. Dave acknowledges the raw frustration that develops when progress seems temporary and setbacks continue to return. Rather than minimizing the struggle, he points out that faithfulness is not measured by the absence of discouragement but by the refusal to quit. Even when emotions are strained, prayers seem unanswered, and circumstances appear overwhelming, believers continue to return to the Lord because they know there is nowhere else to turn. The discussion emphasizes that perseverance often looks less like triumph and more like simply refusing to let go of God during the hardest seasons.

Section 2

Responding to Al's situation, Dr. Dave expands on the reality that every believer eventually reaches a personal breaking point where circumstances push them beyond what feels manageable. While the details differ from person to person, everyone encounters moments when they question why God allows certain hardships to continue. He explains that frustration with a situation is not the same as abandoning faith. In fact, many of God's people throughout Scripture wrestled honestly with disappointment, confusion, and unanswered questions. The key distinction is that they continued bringing those struggles to the Lord instead of walking away from Him. The teaching stresses that God remains patient with His children, understands their limitations, and continues working even when they cannot see the purpose behind what they are enduring.

Section 3

A shift in focus leads into a broader examination of miracles and the role faith plays in experiencing God's intervention. Reflecting on Matthew 13, Dr. Dave notes that Jesus performed fewer miracles in certain places because of unbelief, not because His power had diminished. That observation becomes the foundation for a challenge to modern believers. If Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forever, then His ability to work has not changed. The final encouragement calls listeners to approach God with greater confidence, expecting Him to move according to His will and timing. While faith does not dictate how God must act, it does position believers to trust His power, seek His intervention, and remain hopeful that He can accomplish what appears impossible.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.
